I travel a lot due to my son playing AAU basketball and I must say, I was extremely impressed by the staff here!! I’ve never stayed at a hotel with such a friendly staff The lady whose in charge of breakfast has an outstanding personality She greeted everyone who came down & made small talk with the kids

I wish I would of caught her name so I could of gave her a personal complement on here I stayed Friday 7/8/22 and she was the younger black lady in charge of breakfast on 7/9/22 Please let her know she’s doing a great job! Also, the 2 gentleman that were working that morning as well Thanks for a great stay and having such an outstanding crew! The Jarrett’s

Great stay Short staffed, but the staff that were working double shifts, were friendly, helpful and happy Housekeeping was not a highlight

I had to request toilet paper and towels on check in because there wasn’t any in the room The room itself was very clean though I stay at this location everytime I come into town, will be back again

This hotel is fantastic It’s beautiful It’s close to downtown Cincinnati and close to the Kentucky state line

There are a lot of food and shopping options nearby Plus, Kim, Harold, and Gene are excellent Their customer service is impeccable I could check in early, and so was my whole family We are hosting our family reunion here We have many rooms (at least 20), and they are very accommodating Thanks so much for the excellent service and food!

Attention, Attention !!Anyone or Any Family looking to stay at a hotel that is absolutely the best!! This review is long overdue! I have been a loyal Marriott customer, specifically at this location, where I do my Staycations with my children, family , staff and friends, for well over 5 years! I’ve seen staff come and go and even felt like I was a part of the team , helping to welcome the newbies on board! I say that to say, the Cincinnati Marriott North has been nothing short of amazing , accommodating, and just flat out good to me and my children! From the wonderful people that attend to the rooms , the to waitresses in the restaurant, to the Management! As a single mom, who’s schedule is so busy, the Marriott has made it easy for me to have a home away from home in a safe, beautiful facility, where the staff know me and my children Their food is great, the service is great and I would literally live there if I had no place to go Out of all the years that I’ve stayed there, even through the change of staff, I have Never had a bad experience! It was a little bumpy initially having to get used to new staff at times, but only because I had gotten so attached to the others! But once I seen that new or old, the level of care and service that all the team members provide was consistent and has been top notch, it’s much easier to welcome in new team members! I can’t say enough about this particular Marriott

They have been part of the village that helped to feed/ shelter and accommodate my family, while allowing me a chance to feel like I was having a relaxing getaway anytime I needed one and can’t leave the city! Bottom line, this is the best hotel , at a reasonable cost for any family, business, or team to stay at, if they want a safe & well kept environment, nice pool and Clean Rooms, Great customer care team and all around nice facility to have a great time or just relax!Thank you Cincinnati Marriott North for the Awesome & Consistent service that you have provided over the years! I promise, anytime that I’m staying there, I would fill in at the front desk and help anytime, if you guys ever need me! That’s how much I appreciate you all! 😃🥰

Pretty much like every other Marriot property since the pandemic, under-staffed, poorly maintained and not very clean Man at front desk was rude at check in I am a Titanium Elite member and Marriott just isn’t what they used to be

Sad thing is they are much better in other countries, at least there, the employees seem to care and take a little pride in their work

Julie Vandelay

Marriott has gone way downhill since the pandemic This hotel demonstrates why Rooms are OLD and loud and generally something stuck in the 1960s

As a top tier member, I am not used to being told there are no upgrades But when I am, I usually am OK However when I am clearly lied to then I am not Public availability showed suites available but I was not upgraded That’s in violation of Marriott terms but then Marriott corporate doesn’t care so I won’t bother saying anything to themAmenities? Sorry due to pandemic we no longer have: housekeeping, coffee service, bar service, or a generally positive attitudePricing? Well we’ve cut back everything but we’ve increased prices Inflation you knowI am so sick of Marriotts poor treatment of their loyal members and awful hotels like this who hide poor quality and service behind excuses Wait for the canned reply to this review as a great example of how management could care less!

We ended up staying three nights while our power was out at home The hotel was clean and comfortable Everyone we interacted with was super friendly even when busy

They have an indoor and an outdoor pool which was great It was also quieter than other hotels I’ve stayed at, I couldn’t hear TVs and people talking when in the halls or in our room Really impressed!

I had an unexpected business trip to the Northern Cincinnati Area My first pleasant hotel experience since Covid-19 emerged It was pleasurable to be in the company of people who seemed to thoroughly enjoy their job

I had several questions about the area and hotel, every individual I spoke with was kind and genuinely wanted to help The breakfast buffet was clean , accommodating and tasty, buffet experience led me to try their breakfast menu within the Tavern Although expensive I without a doubt had the best breakfast meal in over two years, I ordered the western omelet which was cooked perfectly (not to dry/ not to runny) If staying I highly recommend you spring the extra cash for a plate, you wont be disappointedI recommend Cincinnati Marriott Northeast for any business or family travel , in our current world of chaos and struggling hotel operations this crew hit the nail on the head! Big thumbs up to the breakfast cook a good meal goes miles in my world and my breakfast set the tone for my entire day

Adam Clark

I have stayed at countless Marriott properties around the country and around the world and this is the only one that did not have a free coffee stand in the lobby Don’t worry though, they would be happy to charge you $7 for a small cup from the restaurant How anyone in management thinks this is acceptable is beyond me

I will never consider staying at this hotel again and will make sure all my Friends and Family in the area do the same I hope saving the few cents on that cup of coffee is worth losing out on my $150 / night visit

Nice, newer hotel with lovely amenities like the gym and hotel bar/restaurant area Stayed here twice and had a great experience The room layout is unique, featuring a large bad, sofa and massive TV

Bathroom has bright lighting and huge shower with a glass wall so no curtains to mess with which is great Location is close to major roads and food Will be staying here again in the future

D.Y. H.W.

No issues The kids across the hall kept coming and going in and out from room to room for a couple hours and that was a tad annoying because the doors are loud IF you let them slam Do better parents

I have four babies and they KNOW better It is disruptive It eventually stopped around 930pm Other than that, it was excellent Amazing mini market selection I ordered dinner because I didn’t want to bother the Cafe staff Delivery from Chili’s was fast Will be back because Hilton chains are cutting services now and Marriott isn’t

We live close— over the river in fort thomas- about 20 miles Our daughter was invited to a sleepover in the area and I drive for Amazon flex- the warehouse is close to this hotel so I thought we’d make a night of it and I could work a shift or twoJust WOW! First off, we are Marriott members and when we requested an upgrade it was given

Very friendly, helpful and professional staff And for me, I always struggle to use those mobile keys but it worked right awayThe room- this is the king suite but it’s huge and it’s so clean My husband cleans the bathroom anywhere we go I love that he does it but the things we have seen Anyway, he is walking around talking about how much he loves this clean room and that after cleaning the bathroom he was shocked not to have found any hair Great job housekeeping!!This room has USB ports all over, and two large TVs and a lot of space I love the view as I have been watching the birds playing My kiddo loves the sofa area and has deemed it as “hers” until she goes to the partyEverything is just easy thus far and I am sure it will continue to go as smoothly…It’s a block from Walgreens – not sure if you could walk it as I forgot to see if there was a sidewalkHeaded to the gym to check it out and we will update with more pics after our stay I was so pleased with how our stay began that I didn’t want to forget to write a review :)Opened in 2019 and it looks even newer and so far everything is clean/pristineThe rest of our stay was amazing! That gym— wow! Upscale cardio and weightlifting machines— leg press, chest press, bicep and tricep machines on the cardio you could use their machines for Facebook, Twitter , YouTube and netflix Our kiddo was able to sit on a bench and watch tv and use the bike while we used the equipment Also water machine and cups Free ear buds alsoThey food and drinks and coffee- Starbucks type I didn’t personally use but I did enjoy a Klondike bar from the the front desk storeThe bathroom is just smart and easy as everything was here Check the picsAnd again- USBs everywhere… So convenient! We saw some slivers of the sun setting

This is the best hotel I have ever stayed at! I have stayed at so many different hotels within the last 3 years and this completely surpasses them all I did not meet one staff member that wasn’t happy and so nice They all go out of their way to ask you how you are and if everything is okay

The breakfast is great with many options and the free dinner and drinks are SO NICE! No loud noise levels Extremely clean hotel with nice showers, comfortable beds, big TVs I will always look for this line of hotels anytime I go anywhere else

Amanda Culler

The room was amazing extremely clean smelled amazing They even have fluffy pillows I slept like a baby

My family really enjoyed it for our one night stay, to go to Kings Island Its now too far from Kings Island either, big plus for that We loved the Breakfast nice and hot and so much to pick from We plan to come again in the Spring Can’t wait either! Thank you to all that worked there to make our experience delightful and relaxing

Mary Jo Slattery

This is not your typical review Arrived, greeted warmly Got to our room, very nicely appointed and comfortable

Looking forward to the light food and drink offered in the evening Then the storm hit and the lights went out and never came backKudos to the staff who did everything possible to make things comfortable There was some food and drink In the morning they had plenty of coffee from a local donut shopThe most heartwarming thing I saw was the staff hooking up a man in his power chair to a solar based light with an outlet All of this done with a smile Hope to have the opportunity to stay there again with full amenities

Added some photos of the historic home (where breakfast is held – my wife would laugh because crooked photos are my thing) I will also add a few of the out side of the property shortly******************Well this is a review for Kirkwood but first I have to say that Hotels

com is really awful but… This place is awesome and the lady who owns it is greatI arrived with hotelcom reservations confirmation number and all Of course hotelcom had that all messed up and Kirkwood didn’t have the details and no empty rooms But she helped me get in contact with hotelcom (that is a nightmare) and I had a room elsewhere for the first night But… She welcomed me for breakfast on both nights even though I had to stay somewhere else the first night and she comped my room the second night I didn’t even really want her to do that cause she was so nice The property has been around for a while but that is part of the charm It is well kept and they have breakfast in a house built in 1799Charming place and great people Stop by to visit you won’t regret it

lena shomshin

Very clean and well-maintained rooms! No dingy walls or smells Very fresh and clean sheets and towels The breakfast room and selection — just wonderful

A great selection for every taste and preference The greenery around with the gazebo and the trail through the park is just a cherry on top So happy we took the chance on this unexpected spot Highly recommend

We stayed here for one night for a trip to Kings Island and found it to be well worth the price All parts of the hotel we saw seemed to be very clean (but we didn’t check out the pool or fitness area so can’t vouch for those) Breakfast was one of the better hotel breakfasts we’ve had, my kids will always love a pancake machine

The lobby felt inviting and there were lots of seating options for when breakfast got full I really appreciated the blackout (or nearly) curtains in the room and having hooks for sweatshirts and such No need for a closet! Bathroom had enough counter space and liked the wall mounted soaps and lotion, no need to take the little ones when leaving Definitely felt like we got our money worth and we’d definitely stay again next time we go to Kings Island

Heather I

Would definitely stay here again Megan was wonderful and super helpful with any questions we had and with local food recommendations (even a handy menu at the desk)! The room was clean, love the smell of the soaps, coffee was good all day Air conditioner not too loud

The ice machine is located near the elevators where you can grab a bucket and get your ice, plus fill up any water bottles with the machine next to it And 10 PM every night we were able to watch the fireworks at Kings Island from outside! Great location close to attractions, food, and the interstate

Sadie S

+ I watched them take the reception area/food service area completely apart to clean and disinfect+ Clean room looks just like the pictures+ Woman working in the mornings was great

Super friendly and helpful+ Pool was nice+ We were allowed a slightly later check out, which really helped us out+ Nice breakfast spread with the ability to socially distance- Slight smell to room when we got there but it was probably from the cleaning supplies because it definitely went away- Laminate/hardwood floors My child was walking (not running or anything like that)across the room, and the people downstairs complained

The customer service team was very poor and unwelcoming My entire family noticed the difference in treatment of customers of different races Our room was never cleaned during our stay and we never received clean towels

Anna was very nice and extremely helpful, but the other team members were not Our refrigerator never worked We informed guest services and they never resolved the issue The room keys were deactivated a day before we checked out as if we were not welcomed I had to recheck our room rates with customer service because we were over charged If we had an amazing experience I might have been willing to pay the higher rate but it definitely was not worth it We will NEVER stay here againGuest service team members should be welcoming and helpful, they were not In addition to that they never discussed with us what was included during our stay At breakfast we were pretty much watched like a hawk by one of the team members, a young black female with braids and glasses We had no idea that there were different breakfast packages She did not inform us of this until I walked up to her as she was standing guard as if we were not welcomed, and I asked her about the different breakfast choices She said “one second ma’am” as she raised her finger to quiet me while she answered a young Caucasian male She proceeded to tell me that I needed to have a blue breakfast slip in order to receive items from the buffet Later I overheard her explaining to other guests that they could purchase items from the buffet, she never gave us that option

Tom Porter

This place has gone downhill since our first of three stays starting in 9/2021 This past stay was by far the worst Room was dirty, broken lamps, refrigerator didn’t work, and the ac unit wouldn’t effectively cool the room due to dirty air filters so we slept with windows open

Others in our group were moved twice before finding a suitable room Others had room issues like me who had not other choice than to deal with it and vow never to stay here again

Gear Head

Disgusting One of the worst hotels I have ever stayed at in my life The water was slimmy

From the shower and faucet like well water I tried running it for hours but it still felt like I was swimming in a lake Black mold in the shower Terrible breakfast was served cold McDonald’s is better Room hadn’t been vacuumed I asked for extra towels and I’m told to speak with the manager in the morning I saw reviews about bed bugs so I searched my room and didn’t find any but after 3 days I feel dirtier than when I showed up because of the cleanliness I can not wait to go home and take a real shower I will never ever be back If I have to come this way again I will be sleeping in my car over this hotel Econolodge is better to be honest Just dirty Also the staff blaring shark weak if you have to go downstairs for anything Just unprofessional

We are a bit disappointed in this hotel Check in was easy and front desk staff was very nice and helpful Although we weren’t going to use it, the bar, restaurant and room service was closed

The chef called in sick I’d rather they stay homeWe went walked into the room, it was very hot and stuffy The air was set on 76 but thermostat read 80 It took hours to cool down We went to Kings Island and it was fine when we returned There was an odd smell Not horrible, just odd Again, not that it matters much, but the alarm clock was broken and unable to be used The stopper in the tub was broken and laying in the tub Even with it out, water stood in the showerThe bed was comfortable and great pillowsThe hotel was clean We didn’t have a chance to use the pool but when we checked it out, it was clean and at good temperatureOverall it was a decent stay The things that were wrong were an inconvenience, not a deal breakerWe would stay again but are going to look for different options in the area

I was lucky to have got let down by another brand for being over booked and I found this wonderful small hotel which gave me a 5 star treatment Marie, upon checking in she did a wonderful job with a smile and great positive attitude The rooms are clean, the hotel is family friendly and I decided to joint Hilton Honors because of their cozy and welcoming service

Services available are very adequate when visiting this calm and wonderful town

Very clean, updated, spacious hotel Breakfast was enjoyable (only complaint was from the kids that they couldn’t make their own waffles), the room was perfect, the staff was polite, the indoor pool was big enough for the kids with spacious enough deck to feel comfortable out of the pool Can’t think of anything I’d recommend to improve upon

Had friends staying across the highway to save a bit of money and their hotel was vastly inferior in terms of space, upkeep, etc

April Sroufe

I loved this hotel As far as Residence Inns go, you’ve seen one you’ve seen them all But this one was different

I think it’s on the newer side The rooms are spacious and clean 5 of us slept comfortably Breakfast each morning was great There is a nice indoor pool and a fire pit area It’s only 2 minutes from Kings Islandyou could uber And we could see the fireworks each night from the hotel parking lot I’d would definitely stay again Oh, the staff was also amazing: courteous and thorough

Cordet Dykes-Veatch

The room was very spacious and the layout was great Breakfast was basic

eggs, turkey sausage, pork sausage, cereal I like that the waffles were prepackaged and warm The lobby is large and there’s lots of seating They have a fire pit with nice seating and a basketball court There are several restaurants within walking distance I’m only giving 4 stars because of the housekeeping There was a lot of dust sitting on top of the fridge No silverware and the kitchen could use a thorough cleaning The towels were dingy and I found dust bunnies on some of the bed pillows The noise from the highway can get a little loud if your on that side of the hotel We were in room 117 I might stay there again because the location is convenient to all my destinations when I visit Cincinnati But I’ll be requesting a room on the other side of the hotel

We stayed one night from Minnesota to celebrate Kings Islands 50th birthday Very convenient to KI and a variety of restaurant choices The staff at this hotel was very good and room rate more than reasonable

Room was very clean, large and the bed was comfy The breakfast was quite average but good enough Gale who was working the breakfast was very friendly making sure our needs were met The biggest issue was our toilet The floater got stuck so water kept running until we physically stopped it We did let front desk staff know when we checked out

Brenda Adkins

The staff was very friendly, especially Gail during breakfast She made sure everyone felt comfortable and that there was enough food for everyoneOverall the hotel was clean

We were given a room upon arrival, the key didn’t work so they moved us to another room The next room smelled like an old pair of sneakers We went ahead and stayed in the room because it was late and we were tired When we checked out, I told the front desk to please not give that room to anyone else until they deodorize it Throughout the years, Holiday Inns seem to be going downhill I hope the company is able to start revitalizing their brand again and bring back their high standardsBest part about this hotel, it has a Graeter’s Ice Cream right beside it

Jen Ben

We stayed here to visit King’s Island It was for a special occasion and they upgraded the room we stayed in for free This was such a nice and unexpected treat

The rooms are very clean, and spacious I always look for a pool, fitness center and breakfast and they have all three There is a nice dining area for families to eat at, and breakfast was very good!

This was the perfect hotel for our King’s Island vacation We’ve never been before and wanted to stay somewhere close to the park, but not at the cost of Great Wolf Lodge pricing So after a little research, this hotel came up, and it surpassed all my expectations! It’s very well priced, only a few minutes from Kings Island (you can see the Eiffel Tower and watch fireworks from the parking lot, it’s that close), and because it’s not smack dab next to the park, it’s pretty quiet which is a huge plus

Upon check-in we were offered complementary cold waters, which was really nice, especially on a hot day Everyone who works here is incredibly nice and helpful if you have questions There’s a little store upfront that seems to stay open pretty late, if not all night So if you need snacks, medicine, drinks, they’ve got you coveredBreakfast was really good as well They change up the menu everyday They offer different flavored waffles, eggs, omelettes, potatoes, various meats, cereals, muffins, bagels A little something for everyone It all tasted fresh and was very filling And if you want something else to eat, Waffle House is right next door, as well as a ton of other restaurants right across the streetThe room itself was way bigger than we were expecting, too There’s a large wardrobe to store clothes, a mini fridge, and the bed was quite comfortableAll in all, we’ll definitely be staying here again next time we visit Kings Island!

I stayed at this hotel for nearly 3 weeks The stay was very comfortable Even though the place is going full front desk staff Angela and the interns make sure that every request big or small is taken care of immediately

Absolutely commendable The general manager of the property Cindy, is amazing, she is so hands on We are new to the country and needed help on apartment search, veg food, pointers for furniture places, rescheduling our hotel stay and so many other things and she addressed them all with a smile Their kitchen staff too makes sure that refills happen on time and guest needs are taken care of The entire staff at the hotel is friendly and works as a team There is always a good spread at breakfast Although I wish there were are some healthy vegetarian options Would definitely come back if I am in the area Thank you Cindy and the entire team for a pleasant and memorable stay!

We had an excellent stay for 4 nights The room was spacious, clean, and accommodated our family well Breakfast was enjoyable each morning

The hotel is close to restaurants and there is so many to choose from The staff was friendly My only complaint is the pool is too cold Our kids enjoy swimming but the with the water being so cold they couldn’t enjoy it I mentioned it to the front desk but the temp didn’t seem to change over the next few days

This hotel is wonderful and I highly recommend for business, group, and personal stays The rooms were clean and well kept The hotel is very well maintained

The entire staff were super courteous and I enjoyed my multiple night stay to the point that I knew the front desk staff by name (has never happened in my other business travels) Would not consider any other hotel in that market

Ate dinner on the patio at the Black Horse Tavern, which is in the same building as The Golden Lamb Great service, food was delicious, and you should try the Bee’s Knee’s for your cocktail drinkI ordered the chicken salad sliders with chips

This was delicious Our table ordered an appetizer plate that had egg salad, pickles, olives, hot peppers, green beans, and thin crisps This was very good! Nice sharing plate to get your dinner started We did not order dessert, but they looked to have a nice selectionPlanning a return visit

My brother and I are from Lebanon so I thought that it would be nice to celebrate his birthday at The Golden Lamb I had requested a table for 8 away from any crowd and we were given the perfect oval table in the back so we all could talk and see one another! As usual, the food was superb I could write a lengthy description of each order, but you need to experience the food for yourself

Austin was our server I cannot say enough about this young man Outstanding comes to mind He was very attentive, personable and knew some history about the Inn! He definitely needs a pat on the back!Overall, we all thoroughly enjoyed our evening and thank you all for making it even more so

Jason Bacher

Our total dining experience was great! Our server, Holly was great! She made recommendations from the menu that were amazing Our appetizers were really good, our dinners were really outstanding and our desserts were awesome We had prime rib that cut like a steak, but was so tender to chew

Others had fried chicken and the salmon, as suggested by Holly Our guests loved it! We also got to sit right next to the fireplace which was awesome! We’ll be back again someday

Great experience We stay at double tree hotels fairly often with typically great results, this was was no exception Called to see if they had a room last minute after being turned away at the original hotel we had booked due to them not having any rooms available (3rd party websites overbooked them)

The staff and manager accommodated us extremely well for such a late check in Room was clean and nice Friendly staff, great stay overall Will skip the other places and just book here if we need to stay in the area again anytime soon

Matt Hotel

The cookies are always a treat! The only thing that iritated me was the baseball teams that stayed here as well The hotel can’t control them or their actions, but their coaches and parents SHOULD and didn’t Teens dropping the f bomb loudly multiple times in the lobby while talking to the parrot Mom’syelling at kids down the hall at 10 at nightcome on people!!! If you travel with kids, teens, or sports teamsBE CONSIDERATE of other guests
