We were at a special event today at the restaurant There were a bunch of us there and appeared to be only in waitress/bartender She did a fantastic job! We were worried about getting drinks and food with so many people and only one server

The kitchen did exceptionally well to handle us all also It was a great experience and our first time here We have been to the other place in town that a lot of our friends know about, but this place is MUCH better imo! We will be returning

Stacy McNew

We came to the area for the weekend for a quick getaway Luckily we stopped in at the Hotel for an afternoon beer The staff was friendly and service was very good

They showed us The evening dinner special, haddock homemade mac & cheese and stewed tomatoes We made a reservation (you don’t need but recommend to be safe)We ordered The haddock special, which can be prepared in three different ways The food came out hot and the portions are very largeThe haddock filet was prepared perfectly, The stewed tomatoes and mac & cheese are obviously homemadeThe stewed tomato sauce is thicker and sweet and the best stewed tomatoes I’ve ever had in my lifeThey have a large selection of beer to accompany your mealWe will certainly be coming back to the Mifflinburg Hotel and Scarlet D Tavern and suggest that you come in as well

Doug Richard

The Scarlet D has good food at good prices, good people, and the owners and employees do a LOT for the community There is an intentional antiquated vibe to this place, which has been a landmark in the community for many yearsMy only complaint is that most of the chairs in the restaurant either need reupholstered or replaced, as they were definitely uncomfortable for most of the guests at my table, including me who has chronic hip and back pain

(I did get used to it after a while, but when you first sit down on a cushion most people expect to feel a cushion, and are surprised by a hard flat chair beneath their “sit bones”)All in all, a great community business!

Wow! What a great place to take the family on a Friday night I felt so comfortable both ordering and eating at this wonderful establishment From the moment I spoke with the waitress about my medical diet restrictions due to Celiac Disease, I was shown kindness and care from the waitress and felt comfort from the communication between the kitchen staff, the waitress and myself

The gluten free meals and drinks presented to me were done so with professional verbal reassurance of various label-checking measures and extra food-prep precautions to prevent cross-contact This care was given to me in such a beautiful atmosphere with good soft music playing, smiling knowledgeable staff with amazing customer service skills, and a great selection of meal and drink options that I was able to completely relax and enjoy my family The waitress made my whole night when she happily gave me a sweet, bubbly drink that she chose for me based on what I told her I liked and said to me – “Thanks for making gluten free fun for me tonight!” Well, Lewisburg Hotel, a ginormous thanks to you for a beautifully fantastic dining experience my family and I won’t soon forget I’ll definitely be back for more of your amazing “present day amenities and services” -Amy

We only stopped by this hotel to check it out because it’s a historical Hotel within Lewisburg Pennsylvania we were going to eat there but we didn’t see anything on the menu that really tickled our fancy but it seems like a pretty nice hotel it seems like you know the locals visited more than the tourists so that’s why I could not give a rating for everything I gave a rating of four only because like I said it was clean nice to staff appeared very cordial when we kind of went into kind of check the place out

Tim Hewitt

The Lewisburg Hotel is so beautiful!!! The exterior is the old 1800s brick, as it was built in 1834 The inside is amazing and the woodwork will leave you in awe It has a fancy old-timey feel and the food is great! They have a very large bar that can seat 20 people as well as a formal dining room

If you are anywhere near Lewisburg, you need to go there Absolutely recommend!!!

The water is a bit hard and does have a slight smell to it The room was decent and clean at arrival The customer service from Amber at the front desk from our original call a week ago to our arrival last night was the most pleasant we have seen in a long time

She treated us with respect , she was caring , and did what she had to , to please us and make sure we were happy and satisfied – we are traveling with a special needs child for doctor appointments So our stay here was greatly appreciated and we will be back for any further appointments

After a long day of driving, we just looked for a place to sleep for the night We’ve had good experiences at Quality Inn but I would call this a Not-So-Quality InnWhen we drove up, we weren’t sure if they were open as there was only one car

The place is run-down Very little communication at the front desk After we unpacked, we noticed someone’s chicken in the fridge freezer The toilet would run constantly unless we lifted the top on the tank The water was horrid and not drinkable We had to go out to get bottled water There was no breakfast in the morning, despite it saying so on the website and in the binder in the roomI try to be understanding, especially in times of COVID but this place was not a good experience I wish we would have read reviews before choosing it I suggest finding a different place

Samantha Ide

The manager was extremely rude We booked as a group with set rates, months ago He tried to charge me more for 2 of our 3 nights, with the reasoning of “it is a busy weekend so we can charge more for other days”

I pulled up our contract on my phone and he again told me that he cannot adjust the rates on his computer We just stood there staring at eachother until he eventually magically changed the rates to those on my contractHe was extremely rude to other members of our group Many of them left the hotel due to him threatening them and acting extremely hostile The lobby had some questionable characters loitering around at all times of the day and nightThe lady at the desk told us there was breakfast 6-10am The first day, we were told “they didn’t show up” The next day there wasn’t an explanation, just no breakfast and nobody at the desk On the 3rd day, as we checked out, breakfast was actually open My kids actually enjoyed juice boxes and wafflesDuring our stay, the beds seemed clean The rest of the room was questionable at best The water has an overpowering smell of Sulphur and the tub did not drain effectively After a 10 minute shower, you were ankle deep in dirty water The a/c worked properly, but the hallways weren’t cooled at all so it was sweltering walking to and from our roomsOverall, would not recommend this hotel due to the manager’s rude behavior and shady business practices

I was looking for a budget friendly hotel to spend the night on my way back from vacation to break up the drive I had very low expectations since my experience with this hotel chain in the past have been awful BUT

This hotel Is clean It’s modern It has hot water to shower! The beds were comfortable! *yes the beds are high, so that might be an issue for some people, but not for usCheck in and check out were easy The people at the front desk were friendly and polite The ice and snack machines worked perfectly The hotel felt safe Breakfast options were awesome! You had some hot options like sausage or potatoes Then you had 3 choices of cereal, oatmeal, toast, bagel, muffins, oatmeal, make your own waffle They had toppings of various jellies and syrup You could have orange or apple juice What more could you possibly want for breakfast? No reason you wouldn’t leave fullThe only minor thing was that the pool is closed It didn’t mention that on the website My son was a little disappointed because we picked this hotel based on the fact that it had an indoor pool But, we were only staying one night and didn’t have much time to swim anyway so it wasn’t a deal breaker, but if we were staying longer, it would have been a bigger disappointment Overall, great experience

L Benoit

Stayed overnight after picking up our new pet Ko occasion was nice and quiet and the main lobby was very welcoming Staff were very helpful and nice

The website stated that the rooms either had a king sized bed or two queens There are NO queen size beds in this hotel, which was also confirmed by the front desk I recommended to get that info changed on the site to prevent any frustration from customers expecting a queen sized bed We didn’t mind and they were comfortable enough All rooms had the card keys and you would need it to also get in the building, so safety was no issue They are pet friendly and we didn’t hear any other pets even though we knew they were some I was glad that the walls weren’t paper thin Breakfast was great! Overall, we had a great stay

Christina Medvec

I highly recommend this hotel!! My elderly parents stayed here for a week, and the staff was so accommodating…from helping my parents get their mobility accessible room to helping them get their breakfast every morning The front desk and cleaning staff were friendly and helpful The hotel room as spacious and clean

The bed and pillows were comfortable Stay here if you are visiting Danville 🙂

Friendliest staff in the world and that goes a long way to me I see a lot of value complaints, but this building is nicely renovated for how old it is I looked at a few other hotels in the area before I booked and none of them were this nice

Hopefully something to keep in mind when renting in room in a small town These guys did a great job

robert mullen

Stopped last minute due to a bad storm, all other hotels were booked The first room they gave us appeared clean when you walked in but the bathroom hadn’t been cleaned The bath tub had a black ring around it, was full of hair and the shower curtain had mold on it

We told the girl at the front office and she spoke to the manager via phone and gave use another room It was worse than the first one, it had not been cleaned at all Beds not made beer cans on the table We went back to the office to get refund and had to wait about 45 minutes for the manager to process our request Again all by phone even though he was on site he never came and spoke with us

Samantha Berryman

DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL! I had called ahead to let them know we would be checking in late due to our 7 hour drive When we arrived around midnight they did not have a clean room for us We encountered multiple groups of people while checking in that had dirty slept in beds, dirty towels

Place is crawling with bugs Just do yourself a favor and book the super 8 next door like we did Much better hotel and cheaper!

Beautiful, quite hotel Very clean Friendly, helpful staff

delicious breakfast Hot coffee I noticed after a 2 1/2 hour drive home, that I forgot some of my clothing items in the closet I called as soon as I remembered Jay was very helpful, but could not locate my clothing It is totally my fault that I let them behind, but I thought there may be a chance the maid service would have turned them in Still hopeful that my items turn up

I wish I knew about this hotel a few years ago! By far, best and most comfortable hotel in Lewisburg area The room was clean, room location request was honored, the bed was amazingly comfortable and staff were extremely friendly The woman who sets up the beautiful and bountiful breakfast spread takes such pride in her work

I have as amazed at the quantity and selection of breakfast food choices, hot and cold The gentleman at the front desk late yesterday afternoon who checked me in was knowledgeable of his job, welcoming, and made the check in process quick and smooth For my future visits to Lewisburg, the Hampton Inn will be the only choice for me!

Katina Kimmel

Very nice hotel, clean rooms, well stocked with amenities Coffee bar in lobby with large selection of tea and the biggest chocolate chip cookies!!!!Breakfast was really goodI had a late check out and was allowed to also sit in a very comfortable chair in the lounge reading a good book for a couple hours also while waiting on my group to finish up near by

If it weren’t for the incredibly kind and friendly staff, I would give this hotel less than one star I’m grateful that we could have our dogs with us here, but the shape of the hotel was rough The hallways carpet is coming up and wavy and stained

Our room carpet was equally in bad shape The A/C unit smelled very musty The ceiling was stained from a leak maybe, and the wallpaper is peeling off I don’t blame that on management I blame that on ownership This hotel needs a remodel badly Unfortunately, pets will probably not be permitted then, but hotels shouldn’t be in this shape with or without pets

Christine Spoth

After a long day of driving we wanted to relax We got to the front desk and the two women there totally ignored our existence Another women who was very friendly finally helped us out

Once we got in our room the toilet wouldn’t flush They gave us a very cheap plunger even though we weren’t the ones who clogged it That didn’t work so they put us up in a new room We tried to go down to the pool but it was so incredibly disgusting we couldn’t use it The hot tub was colder then the pool We chose the hotel specifically for the pool/hot tub feature We were very disappointed!

Jamie Dixon

Over priced with lil to no amenities! Let’s start with no elevator service, no pool no hot tub that too was out of service My room floor looked as if no one vacuumed…I’m not reviewing this hotel just for complaints but improvements this is not the standard one looks for after a global pandemic simply put egg o better will think twice next time a see this brand hotel…

My wife and I stayed here for two nights during the Horse Expo Our reaction is mixed The room is large and the suit space was nice

The breakfast crew were excellent However, we did not get housekeeping while we were here And, most significantly, our bathroom sick was clogged and broken upon arrival We informed the front desk and anticipated it getting repaired while we were at the expo It was not It had a poor odor and made the sink unusable

Reginald Clark

We were pleasantly surprised by the suite offered through staybridge suites The staff was very pleasant from the check-in to the breakfast My youngest even had a running with one of the ladies that served breakfast the morning

It was all in fun She even spanked me for correcting him as she was the one that got him riled upWe really enjoyed our stay, The only drawback was the 25-minute ride to Hershey Park

We recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to lay back and relax, even for a short timeThe place is one thing, the people make the placeJGS

Hotel was excellent, family trip My aunt is a smoker who went outside everytime Once they seen that my aunt was a smoker, they took advantage and charged a 200$ deposit

I have serious asthma and she would never smoke around me I’ve seen numerous reviews that this hotel will get you if they find out you smoke It’s actually becoming a big thing So smokers, be warned Do not let a pack or anything be seen because then it’s your word against theirs Otherwise, everything was well

Needed somewhere just to sleep (no frills needed) while traveling We got in at 9:30 PM and there were no lights on near our room, had to use our phone light to find the room and get in the door Room was not clean–stuff on floor, something on wall in bathroom that looked like feces/blood, hair in shower, dirt in all of the corners

We were on the 2nd floor and there was caution tape wrapped around the balcony rail in one section outside our room Continental breakfast was granola bars and terrible coffee Everything felt dirty and it didn’t feel like a safe place Definitely do not recommend! For the price you can do much better!

Liz Campbell

Worst place I ever tried to stay out Trying to book online from out of state, isn’t the easiest to begin with Showed up and several rooms later, finally just cancelled my booking

Between the bugs, occupied/not cleaned room, a bed not secured to wall and people smoking pot in the parking lot It was too much for me to grasp and to pay I should have been paid to stay there The manager did refund my money, but the time it took me to look at several rooms and not be slightly satisfied was crazy! This was more like a ghetto party house then a hotel for guests Very disappointed Stayed at these in many other states and always had a good experience Hope the next customer has better luck

ArtandTonya Moore

This hotel had filthy floors that made our feet black The water pressure was non existent There was a piece of balcony material hanging over the sidewalks

Continental breakfast is mediocre coffee and dry muffins/ danishes so bring drinks if you don’t like coffee or tea There was vulgar music being played extremely loud and no staff said anything to them at the pool The parking is horrible and some of it is the patrons fault who take 2 spaces for no reason but we feel staff should be in better control Thin toilet paper Blankets on the bed are stiff and look like a shower curtain The pillows are terriblePrice does not match quality Room is dirty and furniture is scratched up I will leave one positive review, the AC works great
