Simple hotel Great prices Even better staff

They went above and beyond to make sure I had a pleasant stay They have entertainment so I could get out of my room without getting dressed up to go anywhere Rooms are modern and fun Check-in was a breeze Most hotels in the city don’t have free parking and Moxy is no exception, but street parking was easily available I felt safe my entire stay I couldn’t have picked a better cost effective hotel for my stay I will be staying here in the future

Jerell Jones

We enjoyed our stay in the green room at the Moxy Got locked out of our room and staff couldn’t get us in to enjoy our bed sadly – but the night was still spectacular Luckily, there was a bed in the living room (which we did not mind, but it sucked paying a lot of money to sleep in the living room)

Mind you, the staff did offer a different room for us to sleep in, but we didn’t take the offer Had a birthday party and our friends were definitely impressed by the room and hotel overall! RECOMMEND!

Kim Pollack

Overall this is an adequate hotel We stayed two nights The room was clean and the bed was comfy

However the choice to spend money on useless room decor (namely electric guitar and amp) in exchange for typical amenities you find in a hotel was a waste in our minds Having an in room refrigerator, cups and available parking would have made for a better stay Sure the complimentary cocktail and live jazz was a nice touch The website speaks of cost for parking…but it isn’t near the hotel or associated with it The surprise after a 12 hour drive wasn’t well received All that said you’ll find this hotel adequate but trying too hard to be something it isn’t

Rooms are ok Staff is great Surrounding area is perpetually filled with homeless and random people that blast music and harass pedestrians

We stayed here for a week and the women in our group didn’t feel comfortable walking back alone… and I don’t blame them considering I wouldn’t have felt safe walking alone either, especially dressed in business attire

Ghazanfar “GJ” Abidi

Spacious and clean room King bed was enough for 2 adults and 2 kids (laying perpendicular); didn’t even use the sofa bed Kitchen was thoughtfully stocked with cutlery and appliances

Thermostat was stuck on 67f, so it got a bit chilly at nightGood location downtown Could walk to most places we were there forThe parking lot to use is the La Salle lot, not Bancorp

Horrible experience Heat went out first night No space heaters and had to wait late into the morning for a fix blowing cold air all night in the middle of winter

Told wrong times on breakfast Then showed up 15 mins before close next morning and said nothing left One staff member in particular was incredibly rude I left 2 stars because they have nice city views from the rooms It’s not worth being there though you’re in one of the more dangerous areas of the city, trust me Plus my dead bolt lock didn’t work on my room They didnt care about any of it and then charged me extra cleaning fees when I didnt even get the check out time advertised I feel like I’ve been scammed and it felt like a dirty cheap motel Marriott should drop this dump from their name I’ve been to dozens of different hotels and this is one of the worst in the city Go to Marriott City Center a few blocks down instead if you really want to be in that area, or if you need the full kitchen go to Marriott TownePlace Suites in North Loop Avoid this place, you’re welcome

Had a keyboard stolen out of my valet parked car Nothing was broken (window, door, etc)Breakfast didn’t start until 7am

Room was clean (as expected)Bed was comfortable (as expected)Staff I interacted with was courteous and professionalBut, either my car keys were used to access the interior of my car or the car was not locked overnightThis rating is extremely unusual for me, every Hilton I’ve stayed at for the last several years has received a 4-5 star ratingI will not be back

Jacqueline Perius

I was there second time lasting 20 days while husband was medical at abbott Hilton employees shuttled me between the two 2 x day All employees at Hilton were excellent

The valet awesome Check in and out smooth and the room perfect! I love the Hilton and the personal chefs/cooks/bartenders were great! Last September and now this April best employees ever

Jessica Westphal

Great location within walking distance of the Minneapolis Convention Center and several restaurants The room was a bit small, but was clean (except a couple fruit snacks in the vents of the AC unit) and the beds were SUPER comfy A bit disappointed that the pool was under repair most of our stay, but the rate was adjusted when we complained

Breakfast was great and parking convenient We had the package with Breakfast and valet parking included I would recommend this hotel

Bull Dogg

This is an excellent hotel locate in one of the most affluent suburbs of Minneapolis The hotel is conveniently located only 15-30 minutes from the airport (depending on traffic), and within walking distance from two malls, one of them being, I think, the first mall in AmericaThe lobby is a bit impersonal but the staff is very friendly and professional

The check-in process was fast and simple, and the information about the hotel was genuine and easy to understand, not the “commercial subtitle style info”The hotel features a restaurant, a great bar, a gym, and a pool And, of course also conference facilitiesI was upgraded and had a fantastic room with views in two directions The room was very clean, and there were helpful amenities I was surprised, however, that the hotel doesn’t have complimentary slippers That is odd for a hotel of this standardThe breakfast is very good, and if you are in a hurry you can get a coffee and a snack from the bar in the morning Also, there is a Starbucks right next door and it opens at 6:30 so you have plenty of optionsWe didn’t have dinner at the hotel so we can’t rate the restaurant, but others said it was quite good However, if you prefer to eat at another restaurant you can just walk across the street to the mall, which features (at least) two very nice restaurantsIf we come back to MSP this will definitely be one of the options

L,MD

Great location! Located in one of the most opulent suburbs in the Twin Cities!Attentive staff…very friendly and accommodating!Atmosphere is very inviting and the rooms were attractively clean!Great location as well as this property is across the street from both the Southdale Center and the Galleria malls Perfect for eating and shopping!

Michelle Merson

The front desk person by the name of Julius could be the rudest person in hospitality that I have ever met He told me to stay on the club level and explained all the amenities but forgot to mention the club level didn’t have the amenities available on the weekend ( not even coffee) So I asked him later in my stay why he “left out” that important fact and he was unapologetic and rude and called me horrible names even though I was asking a reasonable question

I would be very careful of this man who, in my opinion, has a couple of screws loose to become un hinged the way he did Westin should be ashamed of this employee and hopefully will not expose future guests to him

Decided on a last minute spring break trip to Minneapolis and stayed here The front desk staff were super friendly and helpful The rooms were nice and spacious

Easy self-parking just a few feet up which was reasonably priced with in/out privileges The breakfast and happy hour were both great and of great value Staff at both were also very friendly and fun Will easily stay here again in the future Also lots of great restaurants within walking distance!

Meagan Huerd

The room/bathroom was very large Very clean and comfortable There is only 1 area for the elevators, so we had a long walk down to our room

No parking on site, so you have to find a public parking ramp and walk back to the hotel or pay to use the valet, which is understandable being downtown The food was very good Free breakfast from the hotel Lyons Pub is connected from the lobby which had a great menu and even better food Compared to other hotels in the area, this was the best I have stayed at I will be booking here again

Shawanee’ Patrick

I loved my room so much! Spacious and clean A little slow getting to cleaning the bathroom Ever since you have to request Cleaning it seems they always forget the request

Breakfast is great! Made to order omletes! And they change up the hot prepared egg dishes Service in the Breakfast space is great They also have two free drink everyday during the reception Granted they’re simple drinks, but you can’t get mad at free The paid for drink aren’t crazy expensive either Overall enjoyed my stay and will look for embassy suites in other places

Super great stay We spent a couple days here after our wedding reception Kristen and Angel were extremely attentive staff members, amongst many others who helped make our stay that much more comfortable and wonderful

Rooms were comfortable and had a great view – rooms were stocked well with plenty of amenities Very convenient location (walking distance to target field/center, downtown) ample parking in underground garage, located in a mall Hope to stay here again soon

Jackie Lauren

My husband and I stayed here for a night on the day of our wedding (June 25th) and had such an incredible experience We ended up being upgraded to the presidential suite and the room was beautiful! So spacious and had a great view Easily the best hotel room we have ever stayed in

Also wanted to add that the woman who checked us in was so sweet and genuinely excited for us! Overall had a wonderful experience and would absolutely stay here again Thank you for making our stay so special!

Christina Nicole

My sister was visiting from NC so we opted to stay in the city for the weekend (4/8-4/10) We literally chose this hotel for the view and location I reserved our room a month in advance and added our reservation to the list for a 16-19 floor room with a view

However, when we arrived and I asked for a higher floor, I was given room 1456 which had a north view with a very tall building right across the street (I could barely see the top of it w/o putting my face on the window) and another tall dark building behind it, off center to the left There were several very noticeable stains on the floor and ottomans The shower was turned so tightly we both had trouble turning it on I had to hit it repeatedly to break it loose When we called the front desk for help we were told it would be 30-60 minutes for someone to come help There were gnats in the shower and it wasn’t until we showered that we realized why the water took forever to drain! By the end of my 30 minute showers I was in ankle deep water, wading in my own crud The ice drawers in the hall way had a bag of ice in them that was torn open, I’m assuming to take a cup at our own risk? We opted not toRoom service was very quick When we first arrived and checked in, I asked for extra towels and the awesome room service beat me to my room with them! I complained about none of this during our stay because we were busy exploring Minneapolis and St Paul before I leave for good However, I did email the hotel so they will hopefully resolve these issues for future guests!I’m giving 3 stars instead of 1 due to the location and ease or parking (very safe, gated underground ramp) Otherwise, I’m highly disappointed in the quality of this hotel

My husband and I stayed here this past weekend and I could not be happier with the accommodations The bed was so comfortable and the shower was amazing We felt well taken care of by literally everyone we came into contact with

The front desk always had smiles and asked how our day was, the valet was always quick, and the two women at the bar were so kind We walked down to Caribou Coffee two blocks down both days and felt safe This hotel is in an ideal spot and seems to be like 15 minutes from everything! We went to the spa and used some of the amenities before we left and felt so refreshed Just a heads up, you can get a day pass to the spa for $50 dollars per person If you have some downtime, I highly recommend it Great stay and we will definitely be back

Ross Nelson

My wife and I stayed here for our anniversary and had an amazing stay! Some of the nicest accommodations we have ever had anywhere Briana made sure our stay was extra special and went above and beyond for us Every staff member we encountered was friendly and helpful! My wife had an amazing massage at the Adna Spa that is located on site

Breakfast in bed was delicious and high quality The whole place was incredibly clean We will definitely be coming back to Hotel Ivy next time we are staying in Minneapolis!

CHRISTINE NEHLS

The hotel is so clean and lavish We always upgrade to the high level floors where it’s most quiet All of our encounters with front desk staff, room service, house keeping, and engineering is impeccable

We always seem to have an issue with valet service including our most recent stay on 2/19/22-2/20/22 Upon arrival a young valet did not help the passenger out of the vehicle which is in very busy one way traffic nor did he assist the driver, just stood there and told us to leave our keys in the car and he left it unattended on a busy down town Minneapolis street We had to get our own luggage rack When you’re paying $48/day + tip, you expect a little more That afternoon upon trying to retrieve our car, the same young man and different young man acted like we were a huge inconvenience as a “walk up” even though we explained our text ticket didn’t work When returning that evening an extremely lovely older gentleman with a pony tail helped the passenger out of the car from heavy traffic and talked with the driver to make sure there was nothing further he could do for service before parking That’s what earns good tips and respect The same gentleman retrieved our car at check out and was so gracious in seating the passenger and loading our bags The Ivy needs to have that gentleman run a training course for its younger valet staff members

My wife and I recently stayed at this super hip and fun hotel in downtown Minneapolis The accommodations were great, the atmosphere hip, and the location pretty niceAnd while we were expecting a restaurant on the premises, we were able to find several nearby

The PROS: Cool vibe Nice amenities Super, super nice people I especially enjoyed talking with Paris Khoddami and Lynn Williams, both in the Sales/Marketing department for Moxy Also, the bartenders were superbThe CONS: No on-site restaurant (a pretty big miss, IMHO) And the windows don’t open You know, for “Fresh Air?”Other than that, superb visit

Zuly “Catholic Charismatics” K

Dog & Cat Friendly Complimentary house cocktail at check-in Free coffee

Nice gym NO free parking PARK around the corner, overnight for only $5 No pool Smaller rooms No snacks & No free breakfast Hotel smells great Funny or offensive male model DO NOT disturb signs? Awesome architecture & design Plenty of public seating space Convenient location right across trader Joe’s & Jimmy John’s Price okay? More deals are welcomed, can keep this hotel booked solid year round Consider offering hotel guests greater parking discount Finally, exceptional MUK shampoo & conditioner

Michael Bosley

feel like it needs to be said the rooms are nice but why is there a guitar and an amp in my room?? i don’t know how to play a guitar but if someone happenes to come back to their room dunk one night, they might want to try play it which wouldn’t be great for the room next to me as the rooms aren’t very soundproof

Also, the bartenders downstairs don’t know how to mix drinks beyond a simple gin and tonic so be careful just stick to the simple drink requests

The breakfast staff was attentive and the food was delicious! The entire facility was clean- housekeeping staff does a great job!! I was so impressed with how friendly and helpful every staff member was! Everyone was very professional!

Cady Pascoe

It was a beautiful hotel but they were also hosting professional soccer players and we did not feel we were treated like we were as important as the other guests We arrived for our honeymoon, which was noted in the reservation by our travel agent and we didn’t even hear a congratulations from the staff I would not say that anything was bad, it was a lovely hotel overall but for 4 star accommodations, we will book elsewhere in the future

Chrystal Caruthers

So, this is supposed to be a higher end hotel Don’t be fooled Initially I was in room 803 with sight lines of the air conditioning systems on the roof just next door

The buzz kept me restless all night The next day I requested a change Now, room 1616 was totally fine Quite, airy, bright all the things you expect Even the shower system was better — multiple body sprays versus one in the lower level room So the disparate room situation aside the doorman at night is a nightmare to deal with A simple question begets sarcasm and riddles Asked if I could park on the street overnight, he told me to read the sign I did Again, is it legal to park on the street, I’m not from here and the sign only says to feed the meter between certain hours In Chicago, street parking is tricky It takes a native to interpret Finally I decide to park for free just outside the hotel doors and pay the meter starting at 8am I saved that $50/night hotel parking fee He was speechless when I approached the hotel with my room key to enter Terrible I wouldn’t stay there again no matter how discounted the rate is The Keurig didn’t work The shower has peeling tape (room 803), the very old bathroom TV doesn’t work and I’m still not sure why it’s situated opposite the toilet, but that’s another story Oh, and Room 803 had broken glass in the bathroom when I checked in Housekeeping had to come clean it up This place is a mess

Stayed here for a convention My room had bugs Woke up with bites in multiple places

The location was convenient with access the convention center The service is exceptional by some employees The hotel restaurant hosts and servers were exceptional A certain bartender who I won’t name needs some etiquette and costumer service training due to her dismissive behavior The manager did remedy the issue quickly

Harry “Burge” Burgess

DON’T PAY STANDARD PRICEFirstly, I had quite a big discount and was able to split the cost with a friend If this wasn’t the case I don’t feel this would be worth itThe foyer is extremely nice and fancy

The facilities are goodRoom was old-fashioned but nice Clean bathroom and room in-generalIf you’re receiving anything it’ll cost $7 per parcel which is one thing that wasn’t advertisedAnother was that they take a $600 security deposit until your stay is over They put a hold on your card I believe which gets released a few days afterAll-in-all it was a nice stay but the standard price is extremely expensive for what you get

The beds are comfortable, the rooms are clean, but this hotel needs an update It definitely shows some wear My last day I had a late flight back to LA and arranged for a late check out

Apparently nobody informed housekeeping They banged on my door at 9am Not happy about that Underground parking is a plus especially if you stay here in the winter Would I stay here again? I think that I will spend a few more dollars next time and stay in a hotel that’s a little more up to date

m W

Got this place for my boyfriend and I plus my brothers and I wanted a place that offered separate rooms for that Was perfect! My boyfriend said, “this is bigger than some of the apartments I’ve lived” And he fell in love with the bed immediately

Loved the little kitchen My brothers loved the pool and gym room I wish the breakfast was better but was still better than other hotels I’ve been Mostly wanted an egg option with no cheese but I get that most people like eggs and cheese together

Mike Hollingsworth

I was charged $1,400 randomly days after my stay, when i was charged an up front fee of $750 on the day of the stay I’ve been trying to talk to the manager but haven’t been successful There are also failed attempts to charge my debit card on file more than a handful of times

I would highly recommend you stay away from this hotel! I am looking into legal action for this matter

I personally felt safe with the feature of having to print a room key to enter the hotel and also to utilize the elevator The staff didn’t seem too enthusiastic when we were checking in, but we still had a wonderful experience overall I highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the cities!

First off let me start by saying the hotel itself is very nice It is clean, modern, and very well kept Any employee we encountered was very professional

The rooms does allow lots of noise from the outside We stayed on the 9th floor and could hear people talking from the sidewalks, music, and lots of sirens As far as the location, it is very convenient access to Target Field and Target Center The area including the sidewalks in front of the hotel can actually be somewhat scary There are lots of homeless people loitering and will approach anyone for money, if you say no, they can be very persistent There is a bus stop right in front of the hotel where large groups of homeless people loiter and they are very aggressive towards one another- we witnessed a fight There was also a man peeing right near the hotel on the side walk, another man holding a sign stating “I need weed” I suspect there is quite a bit of drug activity nearby Unfortunately it is not a family friendly location We didn’t feel safe walking around the area They also do not offer on site parking You have to park in a public parking garage across the street Pricing is affordable- $12/night

Excellent location and great rates Right by all of the now prominent music venues in downtown and connected to target center / field it’s perfect for staying if you’re doing something thereFront desk person was a little rude when we asked about staying additional nights or where breakfast was

Housekeeping could use some improvement as all chairs had stains and or food still on them along with tattered towels for the bathroomDefinitely will stay here again

Despite being part of the Marriott Bonvoy program for many years, this the first time I stayed in a hotel of their W brand, and the experience was great Service was excellent during my stay both in the front desk and in the Prohibition Bar The hotel is well-located, close to many eateries and attractions downtown

However, what most impressed me was the Foshay’s design I love hotels that have an extra care with their design elements and, in some of the major chains, it is hard to find something truly distinctive Given the historical nature of the building, there are strong Art Deco elements everywhere However, the interior designers were able to add many modern touches that look both glitzy and historic, while delivering a contemporary touch, especially with the use of multi-colored accent walls Just the right amount of personality — a little more and it would look pretentious The rooms are also very well designed The basic room where I stayed was definitely small (it is an old building, after all) but the use of the right furniture makes it look much more spacious The restroom is very comfortable, and I loved the large rain shower, with the area covered with the same tiles on the walls and on the floor Definitely a place I will return to in a future trip to Minneapolis

I give this 3 stars instead of 5 for this reason My husband and I came to Minneapolis for his Grandmother’s 90th birthday This is my first trip to the city

I booked the hotel over a month ago My husband and I have different last names and sometimes get confused on whose name is under Upon our arrival to the hotel we were greeted rather hastily by the woman at the front desk She asked us our name, and for our ID, right away She then very sticky said she couldn’t find us and in the same sentence asked for our confirmation number As my husband was looking for the reservation she kept repeating herself that we were not in the system As he stated to read the number he red 2 digits and she cut him off and said we didn’t book it with them that wasn’t their confirmation number She then grabbed my husband’s phone and started to scroll through flipped it around shoved it in his face and said that we booked it for the day before and that we were no call no shows I was blind sided Everything was moving so fast and she was now taking to us in such a condescending manner I was getting upset I finally said to her to look it up under my husband’s name She rolled her eyes and did She told me I needed to be better organized Started to rattle off our room number and how to get there and stopped acknowledging me She made me so mad I started to call around to other hotels because I no longer wanted to stay The 3 starts is for the fun and elaborate decor Nothing to do with the staff because we were never greeted or acknowledged in our 4 day stay at $690 total

I have never stayed at this hotel but I recently did pay a visit The best part? The observance deck is amazing! We got keys at the front desk so we could access the elevators and we went up to the 30th floor You’ll find a small museum when you exit and then you can take the stairs up which will lead you to an exit where you can go outside and see a beautiful view of the city

It was a great place to take photos We also made our way down to an area where we sat and ordered drinks The main floor had a very cool fire place and live music too! Many things to do in just one building The worst part? Parking is too hard to find and expensive so we ended up doing valet which was a little over $20 total It is also more of a dark, fancy ambient so it won’t be everyone’s vibe Drinks were also about $17-$20 each which may be too expensive for some but we were having a nice evening with a visiting friend so it was worth it for us

Don’t fall for what may be promoted as a distinctive lodging option in Edina MN It has some serious downsides despite the laudable mission The rooms are spacious and quiet, but what they don’t tell you until you book the room: Parking is off-site and a block or more away

Not an ideal situation for seniors or anyone with mobility issues There is no microwave There is no ice TV is not cable, so be prepared for local broadcasts and limited viewing options But there is Netflix Meh There are no towel bars Not a single one Toilet paper felt like crepe paper One ply, only thinner Worst ever This place is in the MSP flight path, and the windows and exterior walls are not insulated against noise There are odor eliminators placed in strategic locations in the room, presumably to eliminate objectionable odors…from what, who knows? ( It was once an assisted living facility) So, the room was overly perfumed The HVAC is very, very inadequate Don’t let the room size and pretty pictures fool you We will not be staying again

Amazing hotel, awesome staff working for security and breakfast shifts However, the bar staff were snooty and I’m truly astounded by a member working at the front reception I lost my purse and asked her to check in lost & found

She said she couldn’t find it and was extremely nonchalant – she didn’t try to reassure me or treat the matter as high priority (there were no other customers/guests to serve) I wasted a half hour panicking and nearly reported it to the police Her colleague thankfully reviewed the camera footage and saw that someone had turned in, sure enough it was where I asked her to look Waste of my time and horrible customer service – train your staff!

Staff is AMAZING From the front desk to the shuttle service (not only will they offer you a ride to the clinic – when you need it – they will also take you to a restaurant so you don’t have to drive!) Special shout out to Marquez who noticed the first place he took us was closed – he then drove us to several other places until we found one that worked AND he picked us up – with a fabulous attitude throughout The hotel is absolutely clean and feels safe

I absolutely recommend this hotel

If you’re a solo female traveler, I highly recommend this hotel The area feels totally safe and you need an access card to even enter the hotel I noticed that there are cameras on the floor that I stayed in which made me feel even safer

Getting around-wise, it is less than 400 feet away from the tram, which takes you to either Downtown Minneapolis or St Paul and other places around the city I stayed for a World Cup Qualifier match and I took the tram from the hotel to Allianz Field It took approximately 20 min There’s a grocery store nearby too I disliked their breakfast but I didn’t really expect much from it anyway They keep coffee and water out for guests all day Hotel was quiet and staff was very helpful
