Decent hotel If you get a cheap price it’s worth staying here There are better hotels—biggest issues are lack of a strong blackout option which makes sleep difficult when the sunset is almost at 10pm, and the walls/windows are extremely thin which means everything in other rooms can be heard and the extremely loud train horn that blares 5+ times during the night

Location is fine but could be better

Steve Hyde

We stayed here because of its close proximity to the UM campus We had a 2 queen bed room, and it’s quite possibly the smallest hotel room I’ve ever stayed in It’s not like we were there to hang around the room, but it was noticeably tight

When you walk in, there’s a closet to one side, and the bathroom, and all 3 doors “interact” with each other if opened at the same time Then there was the freight train that barrels down the tracks right next to the hotel, blaring the loudest horn you’ll ever hear (I counted 5 trains one night) There is no way to black out the room, so rise and shine at 5am, like it or not The breakfast buffet was adequate and predictable The price was way out of line with the quality of the experience The one shining star was our hotel clerk who checked us in She was great and very accommodating I would not choose to stay at this particular Comfort Inn in the future

Lovely staff with exceptional customer service Great breakfast buffet with good selection of food choices including fresh fruits, eggs, sausage patties, potatoes, yogurt and more!Bed super comfortable and large selection of tv channels Love that they allow dogs and that it is right on the river

It shows wear, but everything else makes it a worthwhile choice

I stayed at Shady Spruce back in 2015 and had such a pleasant stay that I knew I wanted to stay here again while passing through the area I was not disappointed! The hostel is set up a little differently with COVID but it’s still super clean, modern, comfortable, quiet, and full of thoughtful touches I loved being able to take the free bikes out to town–the location is great

I definitely recommend staying here

Seb Choe

Best hostel I’ve ever stayed in! Amazing location (right around corner from best cafe / grocer in downtown), easy check-in, friendly staff, most affordable option for a private suite (with a private entrance!) They have cruiser bikes to explore town, the river trail, and local hikes (5 min bike to The L!) Clean, spacious shared areas, with acoustic guitars, coffee/tea, large shared fridge/pantry, and lovely shady outdoor area, both of which I took advantage of

Elevated a short stay to a really magical experience, making memories in Missoula for a first-time visitor Don’t hesitate!

Terence Shelly

The location is incredibly close to downtown all the good coffee shops, restaurants and bars The kitchen was fully stocked and the bathrooms were very well kept! They were also very accommodating with my last minute travel plans Will definitely keep this place in mind for the next visit, especially shows cause the Wilma and the top hat are just 4-5 blocks away!

Super impressed with Staybridge Suites Very clean and very nicely decorated (both the lobby and the actual room) Highly recommend, especially given the kitchen in the room

Definitely nice when you want something low-key for dinner or want to eat healthier/save some money while on the road — just use the kitchen in the room! The hotel was such high quality that I felt I was getting a bargain on the price — definitely a great feeling! Also, loved the fire pit outside!

Randi Harris

Overall, this was the nicest hotel I’ve stayed at I’ll start off the the only flaw: central AC Our room had a private bedroom with a door that shut from the living area, which is where the thermostat was

We adjusted the thermostat before bed and then in the middle of the night when we woke up sweating It just couldn’t cool the roomNow the positives: everything was so clean and nice, soaps were all filled, the cleanliness of the overall hotel was great We visited the billiards room and played and that was a fun escape In addition to that, there was also free beer and wine and being on a 26 hour road trip with a two year old is stressful so it was nice to come downstairs and talk to people at the social, have some cookies, and have a drink The staff were very welcoming and greeted us every time we walked in into the building ALSO the breakfast bar had FRESH FRUIT That’s something I’ve never seen before and finally a breakfast my toddler would eatAgain, I can’t stress enough, this is a VERY clean and nice hotel Normally we stay at others but for this particular night in our road-trip adventure it was the cheapest However, we will now aim to look for these hotels as we found they fit our style and wants the best

Brenda Williams

We went on a road-trip to Montana from California and this hotel was by far our favorite hotel! The staff was super friendly, the rooms are clean and the beds comfortable The free breakfast (from 6:30-10:30) was hands down the best we’ve ever had with fresh scrambled eggs that were out of this world Everyday someone from the kitchen staff would talk to me and my husband, I could tell they take pride in what they prepare

They also offered free beer/wine and some sort of appetizer (when I went it was braised chicken thighs and broccoli) from 5:30-7:30 The kitchenette was fully stocked with pots, pans, silverware, plates, glasses, salt/pepper, coffee maker with creamer and sugar packets They also had complimentary popcorn and teas to choose from I didn’t realize the kitchenette would also have an electric stove top! I never used the pool or spa because there were always people in it when I wanted to use it But I did use their fitness room which had 1 bike, an elliptical (what I used) and 2 treadmills with a couple weight benches and weights They also offer complimentary washer and dryers right off the workout room so you can throw in a load and by the time you finish working out the laundry is done! With that said, that place can get very busy because I think everyone else has the same idea You do need to provide your own laundry soapwhich I brought along tide pods but they have detergent and dryer sheets available for $1/each Ohand check out isn’t until noon! The ONLY complaint I have is their walls are paper thin Just bring some ear plugs or buds (which I always do when traveling) and you’ll be good and not even notice when sleeping I definitely recommend this hotel if you are planning to visit Missoula!

Typical rating for Marriott properties and we stay at them frequently It’s rare when they disappoint This one had a bistro where the food is really good if you don’t want to go out and leave the hotel

You can even pick up a glass of good wine or a beer to take up to your room well into the evening Pool was pretty small so don’t expect to swim laps

Cindy GK

Room was nice Clean, comfortable bed, Netflix on the TV, A/C worked well, good bathroom We were on the top floor and it was quiet, although doors were very loud when slammed

I dropped a star because dryer was broken in guest laundry (would it kill these hotels to have 2 washers and dryers), no free breakfast, and free coffee in lobby was tiny cups with no lids, making it nearly impossible to simply bring a cup of coffee up to the room I paid $269 for a basic king bed room plus a ton of taxes for a total of $292 – extremely expensive for what you get

Today, July 18, 2022, I checked out of the Marriott Courtyard in Missoula, Montana I purposely woke up early to take a shower and get on the road home to Idaho The water in the shower was cold! I called the front desk

They said to call back if it doesn’t warm up as many customers may be taking a shower What, really? I’ve traveled enough to know that the disappointments with a hotel may be a lumpy bed or the noise from neighboring guests, but a cold shower? I called back as it continued to be ice cold The front desk assured me to give it 5-10 minutes Eventually, the water seemed to warm so I chose to step in and take my chances Within minutes, the water was cold I took a COLD SHOWER! When I checked out, I was asked the standard hospitality question…how was your stay? When I said it was fine except for the the fact that I had to take a cold shower and my departure was delayed almost an hour because of that, the front desk “sales manager” said, “ I am so sorry about that, let me take some money off your room rate” She checked to see that I paid for my room with a government/military rate and there’s nothing that can be done with that rate, so no adjustment can be made What??? So because we are Veterans to this Great Country that we served and we get a modest discounted rate, that’s it? We don’t deserve any further accommodations and we deserve a COLD SHOWER??? I told her that I accept her apology but find the circumstance totally unacceptable I didn’t want to make a scene as the lobby was full of customers She simply replied sorry and asked the next customer, “how can I help you?” I’ve never felt so disregarded and disrespected Needless to say, we will choose to not stay at any Marriott in the future

When we checked in the room was not cleaned at all The desks had smudges still on it, crumbs on the floor randomly from past guests because it wasnt vacuumed, we found bugs inside of the beds and there was still food left over from the previous guests When they moved us to a “clean room” it wasnt much better

Still had bugs in the bed and no vacuuming Talked to the hotel again in the lobby and they said they would handle it Not the case they had lied and denied my refund Will not be staying at Holidays any longer, this is the second time Ive been burned by them Will not be a third

This staff just made me want to stay a Hilton member for life From check in, to leaving, it was just easy and friendly Us California folks were thrilled with everything and rooms were up to standard

Only complaint is you can only win $800 next door on the slots 10/10 we will be back! Hats off to the everyone there Conference staff was exceptional too The gentleman running the show can come work for us anytime What a great team all around 👏 🙌

Nancy Boyce

I’m truly baffled by the number of bad reviews for this hotel and to be honest, I was nervous about staying here due to them However, I found the HGI to be a perfectly adequate 3 star hotel with friendly staff members who ensured it was a comfortable stay It’s not a luxury hotel by any stretch (perhaps folks had those expectations?) but the rooms are clean and spacious, they have nice amenities/appear to be renovating, and they are in a quiet and convenient location

The staff are lovely and were able to accommodate my travel schedule requiring an early check in and late check out, which I sincerely appreciated 2 suggestions for improvement: 1) blackout drapes that can fully shut since the rooms do get bright and 2) full-length mirrors in rooms

Vic Goochey

We had a confirmation in hand and charges have been made against our credit card Imagine our surprise when we walked in at 1 AM and were told they had given our room to someone else I can’t imagine how this is OK but Hilton seems to think it is

They were very nice about sending us down the road to try to find another room Oh, we are Hilton honors members What an honor it is

No place to put suitcases in the rooms No foldable luggage holder and no furniture that was a good spot for them This used to be a relatively uncommon situation and I wouldn’t have put it in a review because it was a rare inconvenience

However, it seems to be a new trend as more and more hotels are doing this It is now, officially, a pet peeve of mineI would rather have a place to put suitcases than have a giant TV in every room Especially when the walls are thin enough that you can hear what people are watching in the living room and watching something else in a bedroom becomes a war of competing noisesThe other issue we had was with the internet provided by the hotel It was acceptable until it randomly quit working We stayed multiple nights and the internet would work for a few hours, then stop for a few hoursOther than this, the hotel itself was a good place to get a decent night’s sleepThe staff was friendly The soundproofing between the suites was good enough that we didn’t hear our neighbors The beds were comfortable and the linens were washed in detergents without fragrances The bar soap had a mild fragrance that faded quickly enough that I could use it in spite of my being sensitive to most perfumes and fragrances The liquid soaps provided in the shower, however, had a very strong scent and I was glad to have brought my own cleaning products for that

Victoria Butler

This is a great location, but do be warned that Reserve St traffic can be rough I strongly encourage going out to the light to cross trafficThe hotel itself is nice, but a bit dated (based on the furniture choices)

I loved that the staff decorated the lobby for Halloween And That was a nice touch, and something we don’t always see The pictures throughout the hotel really put you in the mood for Montana, which was niceOverall, the rooms are nice, clean, and comfortable The staff is exceptional and goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome We did not get a chance to use the pool, but I understand it is heated which is a bonus for year-round useI would stay here again

Misti Kallis

Very clean and quiet rooms The staff are all very friendly and helpful I love that they are a dog friendly hotel

I have stayed plenty of times and you wouldn’t even know there were any other dogs around except for passing them in the halls Another reason to say very clean and quiet inside and out Great location, just ask the staff a better way to get across Reserve St to head south

What a concept Surround a bunch of hot tubs with rooms and balconies My kid thought this was the greatest thing of all time

Had a great timeRooms are clean The breakfast was one of the best on the road trip I will come here again next time we are rolling through Missoula

Thomas Conley

My wife and I rented a room here for our son’s birthday party We have thrown other parties for his sister here in the past and have always had a good experience This time however there was a misunderstanding concerning the room we thought we were getting

After the woman at the front desk was very rude to my wife and even hung up on her while she was trying to resolve the matter, I spoke with the hotel manager and he explained where the confusion occurred and was very helpful in resolving the issue Everyone at the hotel with the exception of one desk clerk was very friendly and helpful during our stay

We traveled half way across the country, stayed at several hotels in varying price ranges This one was by far the nicest The rooms were clean and spacious

Housekeeping left a note wishing us a great stay and they had a poem in the room that wished visitors safe travels The staff at The front desk was super friendly and even stayed extremely respectful and understanding while dealing with a disgruntled customer My significant other is a veteran and I appreciate the respect this hotel has for its veterans They have a nice pool that the kids enjoyed Their breakfast was amazing even offering fresh fruit They had staff available at all times in the breakfast area to help with anything you needed It was a great experience and would definitely recommend you stay here on your way through Montana

Alex Leutenegger

The breakfast food was really tasty The staff was amazing Especially the young man who staffed the breakfast area was one of the nicest employees I’ve ever met

The pool and hot tub were large The sauna was great The rooms were nice and big and clean All the pictures and decor was up today and modern looking Overall it was a great hotel

Jen D.

Excellent breakfast, including self-serve options of gluten-free Udi’s bagel and genuinely fresh fruit (watermelon, halved grapefruits, whole bananas, and more) with a server on-site to whisk away empty plates, wipe tables, and mop up spillsRoom was recently updated Beautiful mirrors with a large full length one near the bathroom door

The bathroom itself, as other reviews mentioned, is very tiny–knees knock at the door while on the toilet However, the handicap rail in the shower is sturdy and blends right in nicely Large shower head that has good water pressure like a modern buildingTesla charging station near the front of the parking lot Several were parked and chargingHotel pool is large enough to put in some laps, and the steep up-hillside view through the window is private and breathtaking Tiny hot tub, but it was a good, warm temperatureThe breakfast is most worth noting! Definitely good to wake up toAlso, check-in staff late in the night was kind enough to help get a piece of fruit before I went up to bed So nice! Friendly!

I want to give this place more stars but can’t Location and rooms were really nice but I’m upset with our experience My husband and I are on our way home from a 2 week camping trip and decided to splurge and get a hotel on our final night

We wanted a good night’s sleep I booked in person at the hotelUnfortunately, they put us in a room right off the lobby and it was a busy weekend with a wedding People were partying and occupying the lobby until midnight I called to request quiet hours and the person just told me they were leaving soon I watched the hotel staff serve them drinks until 11pm Then I was woken up at 7 am by the noise of the lobby filling up There was also very loud stomping above our roomWe checked out at 10ish When asked how our stay was I told the employee it was really loud She then said well as an IHG member you can make preference choices online I booked in person and no one asked me about preferences And either way who pays $300 for a room expecting it to be loud??? She then said she’d put points into my account I was too upset to even respond She gave me 3,000 points Which is like $20??Really unfortunate experience for us Just sucks

(No discount on the price of the room due to the construction, but we were okay with that)The room was very nice and we were very happy with it That night, after an exhausting day of travel, we got a 4am Wake-up call We did NOT request a wake-up call The alarm clock went off at 6am We thought the previous guests were jerks that had planned that fun In the morning hubby took a shower It flooded the entire bathroom Hubby found the issue, stuffed the hole with a wadded piece of plastic wrap from a cup It didn’t flood after that When he told the “Front Desk” she said, “245?” She said that had been reported weeks ago That night we got another 4am wake-up call and determined we will never stay there again

I started and review but didn’t get to finished So along with the horrible staff No air conditioner no hot water

There also was the slowest wifi ever Which made it really hard to do my work The pool had horrible hours 7-9:30 at night and that’s it And you had to make sure your name was on the list If we hadn’t booked the way we did and the rest of the hotels weren’t full I would Of found a better hotel Where everything we were paying for worked and they actually had great customer service I’m still shocked and blow away by their employees here Definitely will not recommend this place to anyone

Having stayed at this hotel for the past 15 years, I was rather disappointed with this stay The hotel was under construction, which the website did not disclose The parking lot is a nightmare for larger vehicles

The breakfast that I was accustomed to was replaced with packaged muffins No coffee No milk No juice Which would have been acceptable if the room wasn’t at premium price The pool was on an appointment schedule, and no longer could you have guests that were not staying at the hotel Coming from out of state, one of the perks of the room was my niece getting to come swim with my daughter I had to rent another room for them just so she could swim with my daughter This was irritating because it was only me and my daughter in a room for 4, but since the reservation only had the two of us, my sister and her daughter weren’t allowed in the pool There weren’t many people using the pool, as it is mostly just the two water slides and really no place to actually swimI understand the desk person in the makeshift office is likely under some stress but having some compassion for traveling guests would have gone a long way The whole experience felt like a waste of money I am sure it will be spectacular when all the work is completed, but having a non-refundable reservation without any consideration given to let guests know in advance that there is construction going on leaves a person feeling really deceived A;so, the cleaning was below standard There was food and opened beverage in the refrigerator On the plus, the towels were clean

This is more of a motel than a hotel Cigarette butts all over the parking lot Sketchy individuals in the hallways, the lobby and parking lot

I would not recommend for women traveling alone or for families with children Room prices are very high considering the very low quality of this “hotel” We will never stay at another My Place Hotel

Staff was very friendly but never at the front deskRoom was clean but smelled like sweat socks Housekeeping only comes every other days (I didn’t know this and waived them off the first day… and they didn’t come the next day) so that was the smell of the stay

Kitchen is nice except there is zero utensils, plates, bowls, pans etc I could have purchased them from the front desk for more than if I shopped at Walmart (staffs words, not mine)Bed was comfortable and cleanAll in all it was okay Just over priced for glorified camping
