Was very disappointed to learn that their policies are not provided upfront when making reservations In most cases hotels will allow you to cancel 24-48 hours from your check in ADVICE TO ALL MAKING RESERVATIONS AT THIS HOTEL CHECK THE FINE PRINT

Lesson learned They are certainly not flexible and will quickly take your money without any concern or care for your future business

Location of hotel was great Room, however; was not Booked through Trivago

When I got to the hotel, I had no room Showed them my confirmation so they found me a room The room smelled like mold, the bathroom floor stayed wet the entire two days I was there You really had to think not to blow dry your hair in bathroom or you might get electrocuted Upon arrival in my room, there was absolutely no toilet paper I think they must have just shoved me somewhere Super old air conditioning unit Bathroom was so small; absolutely no counter space (just a single sink) Also, half painted Trim around mirror and lights, etc were not painted Blinds in window were very old and sagged I thought there was mold on the wall on the outside of the bathroom, but it was dust that had collected No room for you to open and store a suitcase on the floor If I stay there again, I will definitely make sure what kind of room I have before I stay I think it could be a great hotel, but my room definitely was not!

I’m not gone lie to you , this place is terrible There is a family of roaches running around this hotel I am scared to go to sleep at night because I think a roach wants to snuggle with me at night

The carpet floors are dirty and it’s messing up my white Nike socks The bathroom looks similar to one that’s in a jail cell The key cards are very fragile when it comes to being demagnetized close your phone One thing I can genuinely say is good about my stay here is that the Wi-Fi jumping out the gym and I have an extension cord next to my bed This place gets a 2 star out of me 🙂

This hotel bills itself as luxury but it’s not We booked a king room and when we arrived they had a queen double There was lots of discussion at the front desk about them changing computer systems, but despite their technical issues they refused to give us the room we booked

In addition, the entire second floor smells like a swimming pool, the carpets are stained, and the furniture is scuffed and dingy We are here for a university event and there are not even hangers in the closet for dress shirtsFor the prices this place charges, there are much better places to stay in Oxford I’ve stayed in nicer Hampton Inns Don’t believe the hype Stay elsewhere

I would give it 5 stars across except for the TV All modern hotels have availability to streaming services (Netflix, YouTube, etc

) This hotel forces you to watch whatever is on Direct TV Also, I drive a Tesla and no car charger in garage I tapped into 113v Outlet Others used it also Also parking garage is a challenge and not well managed

Honestly, I’m just super disappointed My husband and I live about an hour outside of Oxford, and we decided to stay for the weekend so we could do more than just an afternoon in town I’m 34 weeks pregnant and we didn’t want to go too far

We paid $1500+ to stay 2 nights in a suite here…and I’m disappointed I’d like to say that you pay extra for service, but that’s not the caseUpon arrival, the receptionist told us that our room had recently had damage and that one of Our showers didn’t have a door She said that someone would come in while we were out at lunch the following day to fix itAfter politely requesting another room and expressing our displeasure of paying full price for an incomplete room, she said that they didn’t have another room open We told her we didn’t want anyone in our room — and then she changed her story and said they would come when we leftGet to the room, there’s no “do not disturb” sign We like our privacy and we travel with valuables We never have our room cleaned while we’re in residence at a hotel I requested a sign but they said they didn’t have one but would put us “on a list” so no one would enter our roomThe next morning at 9 am house keeping knocked and entered our roomI called down to the front desk where “Sarah” answered the phone and told me the manager wouldn’t be in until Monday but she would have the manager call me that dayI never received a callSo to summarize my experience:1 I paid $1500 for 2 nights with an incomplete room2 The hotel management wanted to renovate the room while we were in residence3 They said they wouldn’t enter my room and they did4 I was promised a manager call and never received itIn addition, if you’re considering this establishment during their transition of ownership, also consider:1 No valet2 No concierge service3 Free internet is 15 mb (AT&T isRocking 40mbs without wifi)4 In room dining ends at 8:30 even though it says 9 on the site5 Our thermostat stayed on 65 the entire time and it never got down under 71 (I’m pregnant and this was a SUPER bummer)If you’re looking for pure luxury and zero service — this is the place for you

Late May when a little orientation is going on in Oxford Very nice service, great parking, an excellent location being close to the square Rooms are good – rather small (King bed + sleeper sofa,) but be sure to ask for linens for pullout bed if you plan to use

We were there late and didn’t have any We worked it out with what we had The mattress on sleeper sofa is actually very good The room coffee is the kind that makes you want to go down to there excellent restaurant/Cafe Great service here too All in one good place to stay I didn’t eat at the restaurant/bar, but those who did gave it thumbs up

The hotel kept cancelling our reservations even though we had 16 rooms for four nights Every single day someone was locked out of their room and told that no rooms were available Kelsey couldn’t be reached after hours to fix the situations

The GM fixed it one night or so we thought As a group of 10 there for a criminal trial this week, it was very inconvenient to finally get back to our rooms and be locked out It was also very inconvenient to get emails during the trial that we had been cancelled and/or rebooked for dates that were not what we originally scheduled for One young woman was particularly rude the entire stay and absolutely awful when we would inquire about the issues She told one of our staff that she could go down the street to the Marriott even though our rooms were already booked and paid for We had to have keys reactivated almost every night for one or more of our staff One staff’s shoes and perfume were removed from her bags that were left in the break room because they kicked her out of her room We have been in the courtroom in a very sensitive criminal trial from lauderdale county from 8am-5pm or later every night I will never recommend this hotel nor would I ever stay again I sure hope that if we ever have to be in Oxford again for a trial that our Board of Supervisors book us somewhere else because this hotel definitely didn’t deserve the $30,000 they were paid not to mention the money our team has spent on the square

Only in Oxford Mississippi can you overbook a bar with three wedding parties and not let family in I was forced to bang on the locked door to get both the mother and the grandmother of the groom into the party that they paid for As reward for my efforts, the ever protecting security guard from Shaw security decided to report me to the police

Oxford mississippi is supposed to be the “pride of the south” yet somehow your establishment has the audacity to disallow family at a wedding party that they paid for Absolutely criminal

Everything about our stay was wonderful except for the bed It was hard as a brick we would have preferred to sleep on the floor We tossed and turned all night long

We had the studio suite with the mini kitchen which was wonderful to have a cooktop, microwave, refrigerator, and sink The shower and bath was nice too I love that they have an extra pull out desk which is perfect for anyone doing remote work I give it three stars because of the hard bed

Nick Cipalla

Robert at the front desk was one of the best, if not the best we have come across He made us feel welcomed every time we saw him He also helped with our Instacart delivery that was an hour early and kept it cold, that was a huge help and he did it with out asking questions, pretty cool I’d say

Our softball team talked about how awesome Robert was each time they saw him too Well done Robert!!!

I stay in Marriot hotels frequently as you can expect certain service and quality and also because I have a status with them I had a disappointing experience at this hotel The minute I arrived at the front desk the employee was on her cell phone with her friend while checking me in, she didn’t even greet or say hi, that was very rude and unprofessional

I understand if she was on hotel phone talking to a customer but this was clearly not the case She was on her phone the entire time she was checking us in!After I checked in there seems to be an issue with elevator where it was just taking really long for them to arrive each time we had to use themAlso, shower gel bottle in the bathroom was empty, we were just there for a day so had to quickly take shower and get to an eventThey didn’t even make any efforts to store our luggage for few hours after we checked out as we didn’t want to drive around with all of our valuables in the car I never had a hotel who was not able to do that and I have traveled all over the worldOverall a very disappointing experience for a “Marriot” chain hotel, I definatley won’t be staying here again

The stuff was great I thought I booked a king suite So when I got to the room and realized I went back to the desk and they fixed for me with no problem

When I book and got there they were training a new person so things could have easily got mixed up The breakfast lady was also great and very helpful Now the reason for the 1 star The room The carpet felt like it hadn’t been cleaned in years There was food bits stuck on the sink There was food and a drink in the small fridge There was sticker on the tub at one point but now that they have been removed or rubbed off My toddler slipped and hit his head There was mold on the ceiling The wallpaper was coming off the walls in the bathroom The AC unit temp wasn’t adjustable It was full blast or off

Matt Butler

The first room we were in had mold in the corners where the walls met the ceiling The a/c was not turned on when we arrived (in August), and when we looked up we could see all the mold In the second room, the a/c unit was stuck on 58

Only the down button and power button worked The third room was acceptable The walls are also thin when it comes to hearing toilet flushes and carts in the hallways

The hotel seemed clean itself but when we got to the room it was totally musty and spelled like an old trailer The trash wasn’t taken out and the comforter and sheets were still damp…it was my husband and I with our 4 kids We were too tired to complain to the front desk but wanted to be sure to leave a review so that maybe they could do something about it for other people

Thank you very much

Well, how to start? From beginning to end, this was an unpleasant stayIt is just hard to believe that this hotel remains as Marriott brandUnfriendly staff upon check-in

I headed to my room and the AC was running full speed on high (which is okay) So as it was late I want to turn it off because it was VERY noisy It does not work I can’t turn the AC offFine, pick up the telephone and call front desk to have it fixed right? As the front desk picks up the phone, they can’t hear me Great, so the AC and the telephone do not workThe room was DIRTY I mean really dirty Food crumbs, hair in the shower, the telephone was a mix of grease and foodI have stayed in Marriotts all over the world and this was by far one of the worst experiences I have ever had with this brandUpon check-out as I had a very early check-out since I had to drive 1:20 hour to Memphis Airport I asked front desk the night before if I could pay my bill and the following morning just drop the keysThey said it was not possible!!! I have never seen this beforeDo I recommend Courtyard Oxford? Absolutely not

Colton Rahn

Wonderful location and clean rooms with numerous amenities Gym was clean and well maintained, pool looked to be clean as well The only issue I had during my week long stay was that the market was not well stocked throughout the week, and the espresso machine at the breakfast bar was broken during my entire stay

Obviously issues like these are unavoidable, but it was just a mild disappointment during an otherwise wonderful stay in Oxford

Nadira Addison

I wish I could give zero stars, the hotel ultimately looks nice and clean but once you get in the room it’s terrible I booked here from July 6-8th 2022 the next morning my mother and I had to endure BED BUGS!!!! We were bitten all up We informed the front desk and was sent to another room that also had bedbugs and bugs all along the walls of the hotel room

Bedding was dirty and stained as well We ended up checking out and going to another hotel We never received the refund for hotel room we was promised either

This place was disgusting The sofa had a tremendous red stain on it There was a huge black stain on the carpet

The surfaces had not been wiped down and there was hair all over the bathtub The hallways have no air conditioning nor do the elevators The elevator flashes with a “communications error” light, prompting us to take the stairs up 4 flights just in case The hallways floors were filthy The elevator floors were sticky There were flies in the room and overflowing trash in the garbage bins by the elevators

J.P. Quinn

So the overall rating was a 4 star only because I arrived at 1:30pm for a check in time at 3:00pm and was rudely told that no rooms had been cleaned Now granted, I was there early, but when I asked when a room might be ready she stated assertively, “when it’s your check in time” and went on to state I’d have to come back Considering the heat index was over 100° that day I feel like some consideration could have been made or at least act like you care

Other than that it was a great room for the price and the pool area was very well kept

Room was dirty I had to clean the sink/vanity The bed did have clean sheets

The front desk girl was nice and didn’t seemed surprised when I showed her the dirty wipes where I had cleaned The manager was supposed to call me and never did I called again after 2 days and finally got him He was rude and said he wouldn’t give a credit because we stayed there and didn’t leave I told him I would have left if there were open rooms but everything was booked because of graduation Almost $300 for one night in a filthy room!!

Jared Stortz

The room was not exactly what I would call clean On first impression of walking into our room, we were hit with the smell of majuana The smell was still in the room when we left 3 days later

The microwave was left unclean from at least several guest before our stay When we asked for towels each day, there was never enough towels for each member of my family to take a shower As we were packing to leave, we noticed roaches behind the furniture I have stayed in some bad hotels over the past few years, and this on may not be the worst, but it is high up on the list Would not recommend
