This LA Quinta in Salida, CA is one of the greatest nicely priced hotels that I have stayed in for a while It was soooo clean and smelled so nice The beds were so comfy and they had an assortment of pillows for every sleeping style

Every one of the staff that we encountered were so sweet and accommodating The maids did such an amazing job They are dog friendly and have a nice space to walk them in It is also very conveniently located to lots of food and many attractions and even a nice large Mall by car but there are also a few eating places in the same parking lot as the hotelThe girl who runs the free breakfast was so sweet She worked so hard and did such an awesome job 😍 The breakfast was wonderful every day So many choices and so delicious It was always well stocked and super clean, with plenty of space to sit and enjoy your yummy food😋 There was always hot coffee and good food for all each morning from 6-9am They have the hottest hot tub that I have ever been in at a hotel and my friend and I loved every minute of it I highly recommend this hotel🥰💗

My first room, a plain king, was nice and clean Second night (added on after checking in and confirming the 1-star reviews were unwarranted) was in a king suite, which had a stake odor and a sticky strain on the carpetBreakfast was ok but nothing to write home about The kitchen worker was really helpful when they ran out of stuff, it was super busy so no fault there

Firstly, I want to say the staff all seemed like kind reasonable folks That being said, our room was a gross disappointment Our beds had significantly stained sheets and blankets, that were falling apart

We we’re given another set after we asked, however, those were also stained and falling apart The bathroom was dirty, and moldy the curtains were shredded and stained with what was either coffee or blood??!! It was a hot week (in the mid 90s) and the pool was very dirty, and freezing One of the other guests just took it upon herself to clean the pool because there was a lot of bugs and we all have small children Our family stays exclusively at Best Westerns because they have been consistently clean and cared for But not this one I am hoping with the massive sign on the door stating this location has a new owner will mean that there will be some pride of ownership here And maybe they will pay the staff more And revamp the room because this hotel needs some TLC Or at least some new sheets and curtains? I’m going to be reaching out to best western directly

Had oatmeal & assortment of drinks Nice eating/bar area I requested an early check in time (2 instead of 3) I got there at 2:30 and she said she would probably be after 3 with our room ready because they were sold out Right after, a man approached buying rooms for several people biking across country I also had to explain that we had just traveled 11 hours with kids and we needed our room asap Don’t expect to get in early here Also heard a guest struggling to get a later checkout after being told he could get one Room was clean Bathroom a little dirty with stains but just looked run down Beds were clean and semi comfortable Pool was kind of dirty but still had fun swimming The AC was making loud noises everytime it turned on though Would stay again

At first glance, this hotel looks promising However, cold showers and stains on the carpet make this stay lackluster I was pleased with the breakfast

The options and the atmosphere were wonderful The accommodations were clean minus the carpet and chairs The first room smelled like cigarettes and air freshener The second room smelled fine The second room smelled fine It was the cold showers that took this stay down to four stars One of out of six showers were tepid if not cold with a splash of warmth I could handle lukewarm, but it was cooler than that They moved us, and we were able to get warm water that night around 830 I think the more people showering in the area, the better the temperature of the water thus warm water after dinner The location is near several gas stations, over 10 commercial restaurants including several local options, and two grocery stores The street is very busy, but not impossible to get out the driveway Overall, it was pleasant The breakfast made it all better

I was disappointed that I was woken up from a deep sleep, that I had to call down to the front desk, at 12:15am, to ask them to quiet down the loud people out on the patio by the fire “Luis” said he would talk to them But I was puzzled why at that time I had to call

I was on the 4th floor, he was on the ground floor, 20 feet away, that he didn’t address it before i called There are clear signs posted around the hotel that quiet hours are from 10pm to 7amThe noise continued At 12:35am, a dog from another floor started barking at the noise outside I called again, “Luis” said he asked the party to quiet down already I reminded him about the quiet time and that one person’s noisiness doesn’t outweigh the peace & quiet of the other hotel guests He said he would go out there again very disappointing

Came up to do some wine tasting visit some relatives, brought the kids they loved it great staff! the breakfast for what it is is not bad at all the waffles are always fresh the sausages good, the juice is fine the coffee in the lobby is pretty decent they have a steam room and a sauna and a cool gym off the sauna conveniently located off of the freeway and near some great restaurants all in all completely acceptable although there are some very loud trains nearby but that adds to the ambience

I’ve never seen Golden Corral this busy They were packed when I got there and people still kept coming in Due to all of the traffic some of the things on the buffet did not get refilled, for instance salads weren’t replenish the entire time I was there, but under the circumstances the waiters and waitresses were running literally the entire time I was there

The food is always good there I love eating there I also eat at other Golden Corral’s as I travel it’s my favorite place to eat

We booked rooms a while in advanced and even called to book because we specifically needed a handicap room with two beds because my great grandmother is wheel chair bound They booked the rooms with no problem but when we got here, they said they didn’t have the rooms anymore and didn’t have a handicap room available! Eventually they found us a handicap room with a king bed! Had to pay extra for it AND barely anything about the room was handicap appropriate The bathroom had bars everywhere but there was no way to give her a shower because the bath tub wall was so high

She can barely walk as it is, there’s no physical way she could pick her leg up over that wall even with me and my family’s help There is only ONE nice staff member here who kindly tried to help make this room more suitable for us Would not recommend staying here

Checked in Monday around noon and was given a ground floor room The clerk, a young woman was very nice I entered the room, unpacked and went back to my work location

Later that evening, I was relaxing in the room and the phone rings and the guy on the other end asked who I was and if I could come to the front desk The man behind the counter asked me how I got that room key and told me that I wasn’t supposed to be in that room I said, “ok, and?” He asked if I was already “in the room” (Well you called me on the room phone, soyeah!?) He told me that the room I was given belongs to the guy that was standing next to me, at the front desk I said that I didn’t request that room and I didn’t know what he wanted me to do He finally realized that I had no need to be there and dismissed me That night at 10:30pm, the room phone rings again and it’s a recording, thanking me for staying there, mind you, I still had four more days to stay there The rooms were very nice and comfortable, but the guy working there was unprofessional when dealing with an internal problem

Bathroom sink didn’t drain many times The room heater/ac was loud, oscillating noise that was hard to sleep We needed to have some white noise because the hotel was loud!!! I could hear the toilets flush like a aircraft carrier launching system, very loud, could hear the surrounding showers start and run Could hear the loud noise from the street, freeway, and parking lot along with people talking upstairs and next door This had to be the absolutely worst/loudest hotel I have ever stayed at, we were miserable, would not recommend at all Room 135 I wish I could have gotten my money back

The clothing was not from there as I got it for a d n law from our conference and dd’s discount store But the inn room was GREAT, SPACIOUS, an clean For me the bed was almost too high for me to get on but I finally did and slept well

If I could give this hotel a negative one star I sadly would The room was filthy (worst of which included a used feminine product on the shelf in the closet) with a bed that you literally felt every spring on The gap in the door of 1/2 inch allowed for the gentleman next door’s cigar smoke to permeate our room, You could see through the towels and the linens

The young lady who checked us in however was very sweet, walked us up a new TV remote when ours did not work, and was just a nice We opted to cancel our second night via BW on line in lieu of making complaints to this young lady who was clearly doing to best she couldUpon checking out, I did go to the front desk to speak to a manager and while the employee was not rude, when I asked for a manager, I was told none was on-site and that she had approved the cancelation of our second night No questions about why, no apology, nothing but a basic stare

The room amenities says there’s a kitchen which isn’t true Im at the back of the hotel and homeless people hangout back there My door is across from the dumpster

Needless to say, I am awaken by the loud noise from the truck and dumpster I couldn’t find parking around the hotel I phoned front desk who showed me a map where I could park which was away from my room At 0100, Front desk phoned and said I had to move He said he would show me where to park The noise from the people walking upstairs is loud The smell of marijuana too frequently I so unsatisfied

Frankly disappointing The staff is wonderful and accommodating, unfortunately corporate needs to put some money into the room

Okay, so I’m just going to say I have seen Edwin Sarkissian from YouTube here I think he might own the place idk The customer service is top notch, the exit is easy off and on

the only thing I have a dig on, is that the seal on some of the rooms on the freeway side let a lot of noise in There’s a pretty good restaurant next door Food is pretty good

Room was clean, although the couch needed to be shampood , it was filthy, the heater started out low noise, but about 30 mins on and it was grumbling and growling really loud

The room was clean and comfortable with a great TV, but contained no amenities—no literature to describe any room services and few supplies for in-room coffee or tea The bath fixtures were half broken and some lamps were out of commission There were no beverage or snack machines on my floor

The hotel food service was mostly nonexistent and the breakfast offerings were overcooked and tasteless (at $1600!!)While it’s understandable that hotels will have problems coming out of many months of covid shut-down, potential customers should be warned to not expect certain things that in the past would have been included in the price Or maybe the price should have been lowered given that what is being advertised as ‘luxury’ accommodations is not currently the reality
