Staff was absolutely wonderful especially since I arrived at 2am I was here for a family medical emergency the night staff remembered my name even enquiring about my son’s health I appreciated the thoughtfulness

The room was clean spacious and most of all the bed comfortable Pool and hot tub were relaxing I am an older woman, was alone, the complex was safe Recommend to anyone anytime I forgot to take pictures but it is beautiful

Kelly Lavadie

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here The rooms are clean and the beds are so comfortable that I actually researched purchasing one online The staff was responsive to our needs

They did have a shortage of staff so we opted to have limited/no cleaning services during our stay, but this wasn’t problematic I would love to stay in this hotel again in the future

Joanne Loh

More like a 35Pros: Clean, spacious room with nice check-in people

Cons:1) Someone tried to enter my room (I can only assume and hope it was the cleaners) at 8:30am Luckily the door was dead-bolted, because they actually managed to open the door Cleaners need to be better trained to not try and barge into rooms without warning, because the checkout time is 11am or later anyway2) Layout of hotel is pretty confusing and its a large hotel Only one elevator at one end of the building so you’d either have to strategically park at that side entrance, walk a lot or take the stairs3) Parking should really be included in the room rate, rooms are already pricey

We stayed here for 4 nights, and it was a great experience There is enough options for food nearby, it is a 25 minute walk to the metro station and basicly everything you need is in one straight line The staff were very helpful in providing information

The breakfast was not up to par as we are used to in Europe, but for a single day it got us through The rooms are large, clean and modern! Located super close to the airport which was another plus Would definitely visit again!

Guanyu Jiang

This is a wonderful place to stay especially for people who is doing 7 days isolation for traveling to China The room is great!! It’s clean, large and nice Front desk is very friendly and helpful

I used to stay at Grand Hyatt when I traveled at SF, but this hotel is much better than Hyatt in every aspects La Quinta really surprises me

JM Kwok

Location is within walking distance to various eateries Parking is situated in the basement & there were ample lots Parking is free

At a certain hour, one needs a room card to gain access to the elevator lobby from the garage Room was basic but clean We did not require room cleaning service which one has to arrange with the front desk if required Bed was a little on the soft side Noticed that vacated rooms were opened & aired overnight Staff on the premise was friendly Breakfast was complimentary from 7-10am comprising of pastry packs, peeled hard-boiled eggs & toasts Overall, a comfortable stay

My family and I stay here every other month so it’s become sort of a home away from home Really happy to see the cooked to order breakfast is back Omelets and pancakes plus potatoes and sausage along with the normal American continental options

Would love to see some alternative meats offered (turkey or plant based sausage)If you can get a room with a view, it really is lovely I love the trail along the bay There are bikes for rental as wellThe pool wasn’t very clean on our last visit so that could use some regular attentionJulie at the front desk is a gem Airport shuttle is convenient

Charlene Caybut

This property doesn’t want customers who can only stay one night I was traveling for business, I am a Hilton Honors member and was staying one night only as I had training nearby The hotel refused to book me for one night on a Thursday night! They gave me the run around telling me that they were fully booked

Then they finally admitted that they don’t make one night reservations Apparently that’s a hotel “policy” now Well, that’s the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever seen from an Embassy Suites I’ll be taking my business to the Marriott down the street since they still value one night customers! By the way they have also changed their happy hour to 5-6:30 with only 2 drinks per customer We used to hold after training business meetings here and enjoyed the happy hour As responsible adults I think we all should be able to choose how many drinks we decide to have Very bad service from this Hilton property and I will never stay here again I know they don’t care that they’ve lost my business, but just a warning to others that if you need a one night stay you can forget it

Saia Halaliku

The suite we had was great The hotel was easy to get in, and out It was also within a short distance to all the attractions that we wanted to get in this trip

The room was very clean, and a pretty good size The continental breakfast was very good The swimming pool, and the sauna seemed to be very busy, and the common areas were kept Although this property does not have a kitchen, or a full restaurant

If you are ever in need of a warm, clean, and comfortable hotel, Larkspur Landing is the place to stay The staff was so nice and professional The rooms were clean, comfortable, and fully equipped

There was a full kitchen, desk, ironing board and iron, and hair dryer They offer free Wi-Fi service for their guests and continental breakfast with coffee or tea in the early morning There is an additional $13 parking fee If I’m ever in need again, of a room in the San Francisco area, this is where I’ll stay

Nicholas Mati

Overall, the hotel seemed kind of run down and poorly maintained I started off in room 324, but moved to 325 after a couple of days because the bathroom was consistently filling up with cigarette smoke Room 325 didn’t have ventilation issues, but did have a number of other issues such as a cracked stove top, missing cabinetry facing, a cabinet door that wouldn’t close all the way under the sink, and a couple other cosmetic issues

Outside of the room, the hallway feels dated and the second elevator was inoperative for over two weeks during my stay Even the elevator inspection was dated with a document posted stating that the previous certificate was still valid until an inspector could be dispatched This wouldn’t be so alarming except that the document dates from 2019 I know there was a pandemic and all in between then an now, but we’re not exactly in the middle of a lockdown as of May, 2022

The hotel is ideal for business travelers The proximity to local food options in conjunction with the surrounding business offices – all in true walking distances makes this my go-to for future tripsOn top of this core service the staff are the best in showcasing customer service

The planned cab pick-up did not go as expected Instead of having me go thru any degree of anxiety the GM, Rene Marin, heard the issue and without hesitation stated he would take me to the airport While it is a short drive – 15 minutes, the fact he stepped in and resolved the issue warrants the highest praises possible So yes, good location , fair prices, clean establishment and qualify customer service from arrival to departure

Michael Barnathan

I’m really impressed with this hotel The service is really fast and attentive, they gave me free hot breakfast vouchers for each day of my stay (actual cooked to order breakfast, not just a buffet), the shower in my room was recently and tastefully renovated with Moen fixtures, and they had a chair in the room that I recognized as a Herman Miller Mira v2 You can tell they spent to make the room (a deluxe king, I think?) as comfortable as possible

At the same time, the hotel was quite reasonably priced; I wasn’t expecting this level of furnishing at this price point Location wise, you’re in Bridgepoint Circle in Foster City, and have easy access to shops, restaurants, an ice rink, and Route 92

Lory Kerner-Billups

The worst customer service Arriving late evening and there being a mix-up causing my reservation to be cancelled, instead of giving us the available room for our reservation price, they wanted to charge us more! Ended up finding a room for $40 less than our reservation price at the beautiful Crowne Plaza You guys could really learn some excellent customer service skills from them!

Great rooms, good breakfast, Terrible front desk reception Darnell made us wait for 30 minutes s to check in I had only two choices

Not check in and get charged, or wait for Marriott website to go back online We will never go back Instead of eating hot food that we got from takeout, I am waiting for front desk to print out forms which took him three times He has NO EMPATHY at all for our familyI get that we had an outdated form, but we only were given 2 options Cancel the reservation and pay full price or hang out in the lobby with the family in the car to get an updated form I did not have the option of paying full price for the room and staying there even though I would be charged full price but not be able to stay the night On the expired form there is a code that the hotel could have verified if they had any empathy, but as you can see from the owner’s response they still do not understand what was the issue

So I want to start by saying I’m a Titanium Elite member and have stayed in countless Marriotts all over the country The SpringHill Suites by Marriott Belmont Redwood Shores was the absolute worst They claim to be “pet friendly” but that’s only towards dogs not cats

I called the Elite reservation line to book a 4 night stay, 1 night with points The hotel is “pet friendly” and I made sure to tell the representative that I had a cat Everything is booked and I prepaid for the nights stay After I got off the phone I called the hotel directly and spoke with someone (I believe her name was Julia) to make sure that I had a “pet friendly” room reserved for my cat, no problem Then I drive from Washington state to California I start checking in and for some reason they’re having problems with my reservation since one night is with points and the other three were prepaid Then they are getting ready to give me the pet form to fill out and I mention my cat They say we take dogs only! I tell them this has all be confirmed with the Marriott Elite reservation line and I had called the hotel myself They continue to say no cats, my cat is a 4lb Persian that has a lion haircut (mostly shaved) Then the manager Ben Lawson is called and he says “no cats in my hotel because they’re more allergenic then dogs” I have never heard of such a thing A pet friendly hotel is a pet friendly hotel You can bring cats on planes so I’m not sure what this was all about but I felt very discriminated against and it was embarrassing that I was being turned away I was so tired after my long drive and now I’m being forced to find a different hotel After staying in over a thousand nights in Marriott hotels the SpringHill Suites by Marriott Belmont Redwood Shores really disappointed

Nate Richardson

This hotel refuses to help in any way should circumstances out of your control put you in a position where you can no longer travel I came down with COVID the day I was supposed to travel The receptionist refused to allow me to alter my booking in any way

This was for required work travel and I just asked to shift the booking to a future date They offered no remedy and charged me full price I will never stay here ever, and I suggest those who read this review do the same

We loved this hotel It’s clean, quiet and comfortable The staff are very kind and friendly It is beautiful to walk into and it was only a 30-45 minute drive to the largest attractions

We really enjoyed the pool and hot tub as well Was easily the best shower we have had in a hotel room My only wish is that they would put conditioner in the bathroomstip: We reserved parking at pier 39 any time we planned on being downtown It was only $15 for the whole day

Yo Mama

I came from a hotel in San Fran, and that was horrible The food, service and cleanliness were atrocious This hotel was great

The people were very helpful and friendly My room was very clean The restaurant food was great It was real cooked food, I was very impressed We actually canceled our plans and ate breakfast and dinner the entire week at this restaurant If I ever come back to this area, this will be the hotel I stay at

Carolyn Wei

We selected this hotel based on the positive reviews, but It does not live up to the recommendations The lobby and dining areas are beautiful but our room was shabby to say the least First off, the front desk staff failed to inform us that our room was a smoking room and when I entered with my 4 year old son it reeked of smoke

Then when we went into the bathroom, the towel rack was broken and hanging off on one side Then when I went to give my son a bath, it was evident that the tub had not been cleaned and there was debris near the drain I don’t typically write reviews but this is not a family friendly hotel and I do not recommend to families with young children

This hotel is very pretty in the lobby area but our rooms were smelling a little funky, found a small bug on our bed (which we were changed out of immediately) The funky smell was in all the 5 rooms that we had purchased for the weekend I would definitely suggest that the cleanliness isn’t sacrificed

Most towels had stains, bathroom wasn’t cleaned properly, smell in the room, bed sheets with a small stain, and a little dusty ANDDDD…they have free shuttle service from the airport to the hotel Super convenient! Overall decent stay but I might not be back to stay again for the second time Great staff!

Drew T

The hotel’s proximity to the bay gave us great access to some beautiful walking trails The complimentary shuttle to the airport was one of the biggest perks, as we were then able to access the BART station at the airport to make our way down to the piers Front desk staff were very kind, and the dog treats and potty bags were a nice touch

The new, COVID-era of periodic room cleaning was well explained when we arrived, and we were very satisfied with the quality of the cleaning servicesThe room itself was okay, though below par for what one would expect of a Hilton The room decor could use a remodel as it looks a couple decades out of touch The bathroom was spacious, though the tile and bathroom vanity made it have the vibe of an industrial kitchen The windows were too dirty to really enjoy the phenomenal room, though there was a note that an exterior window cleaning was scheduled for the following week Finally, breakfast was VERY overpriced for what you get at the buffetWith that being said, we booked this hotel specifically for the airport shuttle and affordable price The sheer beauty of the surrounding area was an unexpected plus The outdated-ness of the room was more of an aesthetic letdown than anything else, otherwise our experience was very satisfactory

Henry Vargas

Had no idea that breakfast was not included after they had literally pushed it on me with no mention of price I asked if we can take it to go and she said yes Figured no big deal right?! Not once was I given a menu or told there was a charge for the Continental breakfast that was awful

Eggs were not cooked fully and the bacon was dried and too salty To our surprise a check was delivered for $56 I let the hostess know and she said you Can more than likely get it taken off or at the very least a discount Nope not the case Front desk lady pretty much said too bad so sad Not to mention the pillows and amenities of the hotel needs renovation, badly Overall not a great stay Disappointed to say the leastI’m

The room was so clean and spacious! I really enjoyed my time here The breakfast was good and convenient, the coffee was great too The only con is that I don’t know why they charge for parking if there is no valet or security guard watching the cars, it shouldn’t be extra to park your own car in a hotel you’re paying for

Besides that, I would definitelyyyyy stay here again

Ian M

My room had a very strong oder which smelled like harsh chemicals and grease The AC leaked water onto the kitchen floor so there was always a puddle, and one of the toilets was clogged The room itself is semi renovated (new kitchen/bathroom)

The parts that were redone were nice, but the carpet has seen better days The staff is very friendly and the rooms themselves are quite big Gym is one of the worst I’ve seen of a Marriott property (1 treadmill, 1 elliptical, free weights up to 40lb, and 1 bench) These are mostly shortcomings/neglect from corporate rather than the management of the property itself I think corporate should put some more renovation money into this property which has the potential to bump the rating (in my opinion) up to a 5

They had a great breakfast and helped me out immediately when I requested a crib for the room I expected more modern accomodations, but it was comfortable even if it seemed a bit old Definitely heard airplanes coming in and out

I also wish the shuttle service was 24-hours, it only goes until 10 and starts at 5:15 It will cost you between $20-30 in an Uber to get here from the airport, even though it’s only a 3-mile drive

Pardip Kaur

My stay here has been absolutely wonderful The rooms are spacious and very clean The staff are extremely polite and gave been very patient with my queries and provided the help when I reached out

I witnessed staff being checked for COVID prior to the start of their shifts and that was very assuring during these stressful times As well, they have shuttle services to and from the facility to the airport and they also helped to secure a taxi to the airport fir easrly departure when the shuttle us un available I would have no hesitation recommending this place to my family and friends Kudos to the facility fir truly being there for their guests 👍👏

Beautiful stay! Very comfortable rooms, breakfast buffet that’s worth waking up for The distance from SFO is unbelievable, the price is good for the room and amenities We spent a few days and the front desk was always friendly! I asked for a fresh comforter and pillow, it was immediately delivered to the room

Did I mention the breakfast buffet with the omelets lol! Check it out, it’s worth a couple of nights and the free breakfast and parking is definitely a plus when in the Bay area!

Really poor hotel, staff and amenities The staff are uninterested in main They do not want to provide a good customer service experience

The bar is often unmanned, the breakfast cafe was sometimes unstaffed and closed The bar menu is limited at best The rooms are not clean We had blood on the floor of the room and the concierge staff were somewhat surprised we asked for the room to be cleaned In the end they just put some towels outside the door Guests also bring their own bags in on trolleys in a 9 floor hotel The parking is charged to guests at $30 per day without any discount or free access to paying guests A terrible experience all round and would avoid at all costs if you are staying in Redwood City

On the plus side the staff are outstanding, friendly, try really hardOn the needs improvement side: property was once branded as a SofitelThat was clearly some time and some age of the premises and upkeep ago

Recently rebranded from another name to Grand Bay, the temporary signage they’ve slapped on the building looks so sketchyDespite its outstanding location in great proximity to a number of large businesses in the area, the building is very tired, in need of upgrades, very limited food services, no real amenities or services on site No laundry In the rooms themselves, definitely tired and in need of renovation Defects in the bathroom walls have been painted over repeatedly Cleaning is just so so Hairs in the bathtub which clearly were not mine No robes, no laundry service, and if your luggage is lost like mine was there’s very little that they can offer you to helpRoom service staff are extremely pleasant and responsive but the menu is very limited and the prices are out of step with the quality of the food All food comes with plastic utensils and plastic containers and delivered in plastic bags so it’s never hot by the time it gets to your room and just feels like cheap takeout At very inflated prices Food services hours are very limited Bar shuts at 10 You can’t get anything to eat all afternoon not even room service Room service ends early Not 24 hours Makes it challenging for the visitors who are coming to this area from all over North America and internationallyThe building itself has good bones and the location is fantastic right on the water with a great outdoor patio But a significant lift and investment in refurbishing the physical premises and an improving food and beverage hours and quality and adding the amenities that business travellers expect would raise the status of this property But for now it does not justify the price as it chargesAlthough this is the most convenient location when I come to the area, I won’t be staying here again unless there’s a significant refresh
