I like that the place is very clean I like that the rooms have good big enough and have enough counter space to put our belongings on and not on the floor I do like the bathroom and shower size

They pillows on the bed felt very comfortable and good I can tell they do maintain their building and make sure nothing is out of place I can’t escape to pay attention to things in hotel rooms I do that all the time I look for things, not necessarily to complain but to report those things to the main desk so no one else gets hurt At this room we stayed at, nothing was out of place as I said I really enjoyed our stay there

Erin Wofford

You get what you pay for The whole place has an updated “hostel” vibe Only difference is you get your own room and bathroom

When you first walk in you can’t tell if you walked into the lobby of the hotel or a cafe of some kind We booked a king room, where you get all the typical amenities The room was so small however there was barely room for two suitcases There was about 2 feet on each side of the bed When you look at the photos on their website, their king room is showing the entire room minus the bathroom The mattress was lumpy, and the springs in it squeaked with every little movement The continental breakfast left a lot to be desired Lastly, the hot water in the shower had no middle ground It was either really hot or luke warm which would fluctuate between being cool and too hot The room was clean though and staff was friendly

Amy R.

The building, rooms, and stay were all very pleasant Everything is clean and it smells nice The front desk staff is a little odd and the lady that was there this morning was rude and argumentative

We kept having to go down stairs to have our room keys reactivated The lady insisted it was all because the key card was next to my cell phone Sure, maybe that would cause my key card not to work, but that wouldn’t deactivate our electronic key or the other card Breakfast was pretty good Coffee was good I enjoyed the toiletries The lemon body wash and lotion smell divine All in all, I would stay here again Shopping was also very close!!

I really enjoyed my stay at the Hyatt Place in Gilbert I walk in and was greeted with a beautiful smile and a friendly hello by Isabel The hotel had a hot breakfast and Brenda and Tina had that same friendly attitude and just willing to make sure that you had what you needed

Upon checkout Abigail had that smile even with a couple of people in line I really liked how nice and friendly the staff were The rooms are nice and best of all a comfortable bed I would definitely stay there again

Asnley Smith

They offer continental breakfast but not friendly for dietary restrictions like being lactose intolerant, having an egg allergy or being vegan because almost everything there has milk and egg in it The main option for breakfast is fruit and it isn’t pleasant to eat They also provide potato’s which taste like card board, do not recommend eating them

Nothing wrong with the room, the bed was very comfortable

Melissa Childs

I stayed here multiple weekends in a row for my daughter’s competition weekends Leslee was fabulous to work with from start to finish The front desk staff was friendly and attentive

My room was clean and my daughter loved the “living room” area I will definitely be back for the upcoming season’s competitions, and will continue to recommend this hotel for other parents on my daughter’s team

SMB

We chose this hotel because the rooms are dog friendly and the cost to bring a pet is cheaper than most other places The rooms were very clean, modern and even smelled fresh The carpet in our room was clean with no stains

The bed was super soft and comfortable Free continental breakfast, outdoor eating area and a nice pool and hot tub outside We liked that the hotel was in a relatively peaceful area, with some fields next door 👍👍

Trisha Waid

For being a brand new hotel you would think it would be clean and nice The beds were so cheap you could feel all the springs Walls and floors were paper thin

Our tile floor in the room was dirty with numerous brown footprints, brown liquid leaked from the bathroom fan all over the toilet and floor while taking showers We cleaned it up the first night and let the front desk know the next morning They came and fixed the fan as well as had someone clean the bathroom That persons idea of cleaning was to wipe the toilet down and leave the dirty towels on the floor with all the brown stuff we cleaned up and left the tile floor as is This is complete laziness for the staff of Holiday Inn and not up to par with their “clean commitment” program The tile flooring is very good at “hiding” spots that need cleaned In my opinion staff is sweeping the floors and not mopping them b/c they hide stuff so easily Floors should always be mopped!!

Bobbie Poindexter

Holiday Inn Express has been our go to hotel accommodations for the past 12 years when we’re doing Road trips This visit to Gilbert, Arizona was our very first significant issue We checked in after 4 p

m and immediately left the hotel to get dinner We returned to our rooms took hot showers and went to bed My daughter complained that she could smell strong urine Although there were no visible stains or dampness on the sheets, my daughter and I both lifted the bottom sheet on that bed to inspect the bed and the smell of urine was very prominent We were not very happy It is questionable whether or not the linen was sanitized and whether or not the housekeeper changed the linens before making up the bed We requested housekeeping services and the bedding was changed on both beds The staff was very courteous and breakfast was as good as usual

I stayed here last March-April of 2021 My grandfather had passed away my mother and I had to come all the way from Toronto Ontario Canada With multiple hurdles we ended up staying here for a couple nights

Not only were the staff amazing, helpful, friendly and understanding of everything we were dealing with The room was spectacular, everything was clean and it was very spacious The ac worked perfectly The bathroom was clean and well stocked It had everything we needed for what we had been dealing with And when we needed to extend our stay they were amazing and were quickly able to help us with that Thank you to everyone who was there to help us you guys truly did more then you could ever know

Selena Quintanilla

Affordable Semi comfortable Room was a good size

Microwave and mini fridge included Closet, drawers, and desk storage Room was not the cleanest with weird marks on walls, debris on floor, stains on curtains The room didn’t have a smell which was great Bathroom is on the smaller side and we could not close the barn door style whatsoever The shower is like a capsule thing We only stayed for one night and did not use it Pool looked pretty small and the jacuzzi water was brown (did not get in either) Overall the hotel is a mix of modern and outdated Front desk person was informative

Brenda Coffey

It was a nice room with wonderful air-conditioning Most important for summer in AZ Desk area with rolling chair, drawers and closet

Good space with choices of lighting No tub in my room so spacious shower n toilet were convenient Still had the big mirror with sink and space for toiletries with bathroom In my opinion the shower needed another shelf or bar The only shelf to put the soap filled with waterI really enjoyed the king bed and pillows

We had a really great experience all around We travel often for work and bring our toddler with us, and this hotel met all our needs It was very clean, quiet, and had a well-equipped kitchen

The sheets felt like they had been in use since 1998, but that’s my only complaints Also special compliments to the staff who took our stay to the next level Ethan who checked us in went above and beyond, better than some five star resorts we have stayed at The person checking us out this morning was very helpful and friendly too Would stay here again

Cooper Marquez

When we arrived, they kindly said that none of the rooms where ready, so we asked if we could just leave our luggage by her desk so that they won’t over heat when we wee out at soccer all day Immediately they double checked and it turned out, a bunch of rooms that were reserved nobody showed up As we headed on outside to grab stuff from the car, the manager rushed out to tell us that good news, getting us in a room right away

Props to the Manager and only desk employee for their quick service, getting us a room early, and going above and beyond at our stay Great job to the manager for hiring hard-working staff That manager worked her butt off making guests feel at home!

DaLeesia Simmons

Never stayed at a Home2 location and I was pleasantly surprised at how nice this hotel was It was very clean, rooms were a nice size, they had a nice continental breakfast, and the amenities were great I love the fact that rooms were equipped with a full size fridge, microwave, and dishwasher

On top of that, GREAT LOCATION! I will definitely be coming back!

The customer is always right Not at this establishment Especially with Michelle

She doesn’t know how to treat customers I should know I have worked customer service jobs for way too many years to count You can even hear the dread in her voice when she answers the phone You can tell how much she hates her job Not only did I not receive the experience I paid excessive amounts of money for because let’s be realthis inflation with these hotels is getting way out of control and we have just been accepting this bad behavior Everyone is still using this pandemic as an excuse to charge us more and give us less We consumers have been accepting of this I’m no longer tolerating this! Instead of trying to alleviate the situation or find another way to accommodate me all she did was argue with me and provoke more anger She’s always right and therefore you are wrong I travel for work and frequent hotels quite often and this is not how you treat people She will tell you I was escorted off the property by the cops That was a lie She did threaten it though The fact that I paid $200 for a room and slept in my car has not escaped me either I’m owed a refund at this point and I have contacted the BBB

Robert Wilson

Very impressed by this location! The room was spotless and my partner and I had no complaints about the room The beds were comfy and bathroom nice Having a hot breakfast in the morning was wonderful

Eggs, potatoes, sausage, yogurt, and a waffle maker to name a few options The pool looked great and I wish I had a chance to use it The free WiFi option in room isn’t spectacular, but it is consistent and didn’t drop out 10Mbps down/up There is a 24/7 WinCo Foods very close by which made getting some late night snacks and affordable dinner to microwave convenient No complaints about staff, everyone was friendly and welcoming Will be staying here again next time I’m in the area

Ava Miller

We were runming late for check in beacuse of a car accident so a 2 hour trip took 4! Amanda text to make sure we we were still on our way She made our stay possible as i was having surgery the next morning The hotel was clean and beds comfortable and cold a/c! My boyfriend enjoyed the hot breakfast as well

Thank you Amanda for going above and beyond to make our stay possible and welcoming!

I lost an item at this location and it’s pretty obvious housekeeping found the item and didn’t turn it in! That makes me furious because it’s a priceless item and it would’ve been nice if they were nice enough to turn it in but they didn’t They just played dumb when I kept asking about the lost item If you stay here don’t leave anything behind bc you’ll never see it!

100% recommend! We are a family of 4 and try to keep things budget friendly yet comfortable I was so happy with this hotel and especially the staff! Everyone was SUPER friendly, the room was very clean and comfortable and the complimentary breakfast was really good! Our kids had a great time in the pool and enjoyed this hotel so much I can’t recommend it enough, especially for the price, awesome deal! We will be back for sure!

We were supposed to be celebrating our son’s wedding but this stay turned into an absolute nightmare I called on 2/11/22 to ask if there was a handicap accessible room as my husband & I are disabled I was assured by the person with whom I spoke that she confirmed with the hotel there was 1 room, which she booked for 2 nights, 2/18-2/20

We got to the hotel to change & headed right out to the rehearsal dinner It wasn’t until we returned that we noticed the toilet was so rediculously low I had trouble getting up & there were no bars near the toilet nor anything I could grab to get up We had to call paramedics twice that night because of a couple of episodes I noticed the shower was also not handicap accessible I was assured on the phone it was a walk-in shower but it was a tub & only had 1 grab bar for assistance After the 2nd call to paramedics at 4 am, they arrived but had to wait a few minutes because no one was at the front desk Throughout the night we expressed our frustration with the situation, lack of disability aides (seat riser, grab bars, shower, etc) for persons with disabilities & the front desk clerk was the only person there As I was packing to leave, I noticed there were only TWO handicap parking spaces for the entire hotel! Also, the curtains didn’t close, the middle panel was sheer, so there was no privacy We left at 5 am, my husband missed our son’s wedding because of all that happened & additional pain he was in from the waiting

Staff were great, very attentive and helpful Hotel is very nice (for a budget hotel), but my room could use some work — 2 of 3 room electricity outlets were broken, and the bathroom light did not work (so difficult to see while shaving) Free breakfast was good (buffet with many selections)

A nice courtyard for eating My room had no fridge, contrary to what the website saidOverall, I enjoyed my stay

Marius Arts

We planned to stay for / nights at the end of a 4 month trip through Asia before flying home As the room was so nice we decided to extend our stay for a week The room was great, large and with a balcony

The bathroom features a shower and bathtub It was nice to have unlimited hot water as well The hotel is very clean and situated approx 50 meter from the road We woke up to the tune of birds in the middle of bustling Kathmandu The buffet breakfast is quite extensive and features western and Asian items Hotel staff is super friendly Without a doubt we will be staying here again when we come to Kathmandu next time

Reserved a block of rooms for a wedding and arranged a shuttle with the hotel to/from the wedding venue for the guests Had email confirmation of pickup times for the shuttle Day of wedding, guests called me to inform me the hotel had no record of shuttle being reserved! After many calls with the hotel and the person I dealt with for the bookings, the person told me they forgot to tell me they had canceled my shuttle reservation

This was at 4:45pm on the wedding day ( pick up time was scheduled for 4:15) This left hotel guests confused and then having to drive and be late for the start This was not something I should have had to deal with an hour before my daughter’s wedding Hotel might have been great (I did not stay there) but I wouldn’t recommend for events where you want their shuttle for transportation

Tara Bowers

I’m only giving two stars because the people at the Bistro are very nice And most of the front desk people were also very friendly We stayed here four days and our room wasn’t serviced once

We asked multiple times if we were on the list to have our room cleaned and was told “yes”, but it never happened After staying with two young boys we really needed just one cleaning I was even willing to do it myself I even called to see where I could take our garbage and no one could help me with an answer

Complete DisasterShow up to find that the room did not have a fold-away couch bed as PROMISED at our 3am arrival, their solution to their screw up was an Air Mattress

Really?? Paying over $400 night, and they give me an Air Mattress?? It was So Loud and Uncomfortable I slept on the floor

In response to Mgr response to former postingincident with response team was reported the very next morning to front desk staff, not 37 days later

Dirty room was reported then also Poor form if it wasn’t recorded That was not a retaliation post BTW no other rooms were available when room was discovered dirty, as stated to another client ahead of me in line with plumbing issues, when I went to voice my concern I did not want to be charged a late cancel fee by moving out of room/out of area to another establishment Furthermore, you or staff lied on incident report There were no ashes in room as I did not smoke in room but disposed of butts in trash so as not to leave in park lot 20 feet ft from bldg You got your fee There will be no further communication from me on this site A bad review is a bad review

Jeniffer Spindler

It is located in a great area but the customer service is horrible Called and stopped at the lobby for 2 days in a row to ask for towels Was told they were out and would bring some up as soon as possible

Finally on the 3rd day of asking for towels and letting them know we’ve been waiting 2 days for towels, they brought some up within 5 mins Also left tag on door for housekeeping to come in and change bedding and they did not Called front desk to ask why after 2 days of them not coming in and was told if we needed something to just call We asked the front desk to have housekeeping stop by our room and they even wrote our room number down… not worth $200/night We will not stay here again

I was walked in on by housekeeping 3 separate times the day of checkout I was asleep in bed undressed 2 of those times Luckily I had the chain on the door, but waking up to a strangers face looking in through a foot-wide crack in the door was unsettling in the least

I had arranged at the beginning of the week to checkout in the afternoon, and even though the front desk had the info listed, housekeeping was not communicated with I also received two calls from the front desk asking why I wasn’t out of the room yet I informed each employee that contacted me of my checkout time, and the front desk confirmed that had that time on file from the beginningAfterwards I alerted the manager of the issue, and was told she would call back with info about what they could do to fix itI called no less than 12 times(I counted) over the following two weeks trying to check back with them, each time with a promise that I would receive a call back when they had more info from the manager I received 0 calls from themThe last time I called, I was finally informed that there was nothing they were willing to do to rectify the issue, leading to this negative reviewCommunication between management and employees was abysmal, and I paid 1500 for a weeks stay with no compensation for trying to kick me out early 5 separate times the day of Having housekeeping try to walk in while I was undressed multiple times was entirely unacceptable

Place is very nice on all fonts except 2 which is why I have given a 3 First Is personal service Everyone is very nice and does their job but there is no personal service

For example, they do not offer any rides to the airport which is less than 10 miles out So a reserved Uber is 60 dollars considering luggage They will not even bring a luggage cart to your room Was told they don’t do that This may be snobby but for 350 a night, a price that was raised when we got to the hotel after a canceled flight, and they were booking fast, you would think they would offer some help So that brings me to the second reason which is price With no other benefits other than the nice building itself we spent 600 for 36 hours of “figure it out yourself” said very politely though At this cost, it is not a 5 star or what I expect of a 5 star paying this much

The staff is very nice and professionalI turned down my bed and found crumbs in it The clerk immediately got me moved to another room

The manager had a problem with me making a complaint about it and was disrespectful, rude and didn’t want to listen to meThe breakfast was good Overall the hotel was nice

This is no longer a Best Western It has gone rapidly downhill The new owner does not seem to care

The pool is not heated Jacuzzi did not work Shuttle service was eventually provided Breakfast was a joke, and the cold breakfast was not ready at 5:00 AM Beds were horrible Our room was decently cleaned though If you’re staying here for an early morning flight, I would advise against it If you’re looking to get the amenities advertised, forget it

The room was nice, the front counter was great Breakfast was the saddest thing I have ever seen!! Super salty sausage, good scrambled eggs and that is about it No toast, yogurt, fruit, waffles or even a little sweet treat

If you are vegan you are out of luck in a major way!! Would stay again for the room but with no expectations of a free breakfast with it

Keven Crooks

I stayed at this property for 2 nights with my wife The only nice thing was that they let me check in early The room had not been cleaned in some time

The layer of dust on everything was unbelievable The floor had not been vacuumed and there was someone’s fingernail on the bathroom floor There was no bar soap, or wash cloths in the bathroom No housekeeping the 2 days we were there The breakfast was a joke Very little to choose from The juice machine was broken There were empty juice bottles sitting on the counter The sausage links were cold and over cooked The refrigerator that the milk and yogurt was in was unbelievably disgusting The wall behind the trash cans were covered in coffee and syrup I used the laundry facility while I was there and the room itself as well the machines were extremely dirty My key stopped working twice while here and the guy at the front desk was so “busy” texting on his phone he didn’t realize I had been standing there for several minutes Housekeeping kept banging the door of the room next to mine for at least 30 minutes The hot tub was not working properly, it was dirty and the chemicals irritated my skin after being in for only 2 minutes I would never stay here again, and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone else

The staff here are phenomenal! So kind and really go out of their way for you Unfortunately, like most places with the pandemic and staffing shortage, some things have fallen behindBut even then, they make up for as much as they can

Honestly my biggest complaint was the other people there They were fully booked the whole week we stayed Everyone was so loud! They’d walk in and out of their rooms late at night yelling in the hallways and having conversations The doors slam really loudly And we were unfortunate enough to have a terrible neighbor who screamed most of the time we were there And we could hear everything through our wallsThe good thing is the staff readily handled it and set him straightMy other complaint is the TVs are so dated, it is difficult to see much on them And they were set so that the talking was really quiet but the sound effects were incredibly loud We had to keep the remote in our hands constantly to change the volumeThe bed was supposedly a King…but I do not believe it We have a king at home and the one in that room was much smallerThere is also currently construction at the back of the hotel and they start very early If you have ear plugs though it’s not a problemEverything else was pretty great though Even down to them having gluten free muffins and bagels at the breakfast buffet The pool was lovely, and I had it to myself in the middle of the dayWhile we were there, the fire alarm went off in the middle of the night, and it was not a false alarm unfortunately The one employee there did a great job handling the situation and the fire department came quickly and we were able to get back to our rooms safely and soon enoughOverall, I’d choose to stay again But I would ask for no neighbors if possible

Every single staff member we met was so helpful and kind They worked very hard to make our stay wonderful while we waited for my mom to recover from surgeryBut if I could afford to live here full time, I would! The cubbies are wonderful and were great when I wanted to stay away from the crowd and needed a place to work

Absolutely loved our stay!

Booked a room with an oven and a king sized bed Both were in the description of the room as well as the photos Room had neither

When asked the front desk why they just said the pictures were incorrect Did nothing to fix it and the food we bought to eat there went in the trash The best was also a queen size when I booked a king And again did nothing made a dumb face and basically said too bad The hotle itself was super hot the ac was horrible When checking out couldn’t find a single employee and still don’t know if I even checked out Never going back There are so many hotels in this area that are so much better Avoid this one at all cost

I dud not stay at this bW but we did visit tge var/restaurant attached What a disgusting excuse of a manager After ordering fountain drinks we could not get waited on to order food

The waitress was playing with her phone and after a while we walked out to leave The manager followed us out to the parking lot cussing that who in (f) did we think we were ordering those fountain drinks and then just walking out without paying for them I trued to explain but he was having none of it and continued to use tge (f) word Still he would not listen to me and continued cussing I gave him ten dollars for the drinks abd told him to keep the tip and we would never be back Two of us in our mid seventies and one lady in her early eighties and we should never have had to go through that Hard to believe Best Western would be associated with someone like that! To Be sure I’ll be telling my friends from Gold Canyon about this and to spread the word to not patronize this place!
