This place is beautiful affordable and its like having a home away from home The rooms are huge I would deff stay here again

The owner is a nice guy very accommodating I booked the pecan sweet i think it was called and we had a living room with a eat in kitchen A second living room with a pull out sofa And a hug bedroom with two queen beds and two walk in closets There was also a beautiful balcony This place is two victorian homes combined and the ceilings are high Its decorated with history every room is very specious And the best part is its kid friendly There is lots of parking and its close to all the stores Everything is walking distance This place will not disappoint

It’s a beautiful place to stay with on-street parking Dave was a gracious, easy-going host There aren’t many places in Shamokin where you can stay overnight, and as my spouse was in the hospital for a few days, I needed a place where I felt safe, comfortable, and could rest after long days at a hospital bedside

Breakfast is mainly continental style with cold cereals, fresh fruit, muffins, juice and coffee Additional beverages were available for free I loved the look and feel of the whole house, and the bathroom attached to my room was huge! It was also warm and inviting — quite a surprise given the general appearances of the town as a whole I’d stay here again in a heartbeat

Outstanding staff & service Stayed there for a full week and felt right at home Staff was friendly and helpful

Rooms were a little older but up to par The housekeeper saved my butt I accidentally forgot some receipts and they saved them just in case somebody called back for them When I called back, the front desk confirmed they were there and that they were mine They are mailing them to me this Monday saving the day!!! I’ve left stuff in other hotels and rental cars with ZERO luck getting that stuff back I’d definitely stay here again 😉

The staff was terrific Helpful and cheerfulThe place needs work

The door needed a paint job, the lighting was impossible to see in, the mattress was a nightmareAll was clean, but the place did not live up to prior visits to other Hampton Inn

Tina Seward

Our stay for our anniversary was underwhelmingWe were disappointed that we couldn’t use the pool or hot tub, news we found out when checking in (though the front desk explained unapologetically that this bit of news was on the website) Unfortunately for us, we used a 3rd party and didn’t know about this

Paint is peeling from the exterior doors The walls are paper thin Breakfast was below par (scrambled egg patties?) Our bed was not neatly made and the pillows looked as if they had been thrown casually on the bed The shower leaks down the back wallThis experience greatly (and negatively) differed to the one we had at another location less than 1 month ago

We have passed this Fairfield Inn at least two dozen times, but the timing was never right until finally we had the chance to stop overnight We always prefer newer, or remodeled Marriott-brand properties, but this one was exceptionally clean and nice The staff was very friendly and helpful

In fact, what stands out among all our overnight stays, was the manager taking a special effort to come outside to brush off the snow from our car’s windshields Wow! Now that’s service!

A very clean hotel New Quiet

The air conditioning kept up with a hot day The breakfast was ample, and the coffee was quite goodOnly negative I encountered was a slow drain in the shower, which left ponding water I’d consider that something readily fixable and not a detriment to the overall hotel experience

Great stay here All of the staff was very friendly The pool area was nice and clean

It is a little bit on the smaller side but great for the kids to play in The temperature of the pool was very comfortable and well Rooms were clean, neat and updated For some reason these rooms seemed a bit smaller than normal Breakfast was very good Very close to the University We also went to Knoebels, which was about 25 mins away from here Pretty easy drive

This is a no-frills hotel and the price reflects it Just what I needed when traveling through the area, but it would be great for multiple nightsThe kitchen was well stocked and the room was very clean

One minor ding as I reserved a room with two beds and got a single Not a big deal for my family but could have been inconvenient for someone with older kids

Anne

Pros: Rooms have a nice layout with full sized refrigerators and stove tops There are beautiul views of the valley on one side of the hotel There is a nice little store by the lobby to buy food, snacks and other necessities

Cons: The furniture was truly dilapidated Room cleanliness varies greatly Huge potholes in the parking lot and driveway If you are forced to take the smoking section the smell is horrendous

Dan Lopez

Reasonably priced but, very sub par Reason for even one star is because is a quiet stay The bed was way to soft and unsupportive in our King room

Desk staff said bed mattresses were brand new and all rooms had the same mattress Was clean but bath towels had holes in it and coffee maker carafe did not fit Front desk staff not terribly friendly, reluctant to replace towels and could not locate correct carafe Worst Candlewood I’ve ever stayed in!

Decent room for the price I was expecting a little more for paying 187$ for a night there are much better option for that price

I chose Hampton because I had a pleasant experience on the pastbut not with this oneRoom is too smallTV is not working, and when I asked to change the room The receptionist states that they are fully booked and have no roomSo I ended up with No TV for the kids on the room

Had a great stay before going to AOAA The gentleman behind the counter was very nice and helpful (despite me checking in around 11pm) Room was clean and the air conditioner actually got cold

My only gripe was the noise I heard all the noise from the hallway, rooms next to me and most annoyingly the sound of someone showering as the noise came from the bathroom drain I might have just had a weird room and frankly it wasn’t enough to ruin the stay Breakfast wasn’t anything to write home about but still nice When I checked out the person behind the desk made sure I had a good stay and then the hotel followed up a few days later Overall a great stay and I plan on coming back on my next trip to AOAA

Overall, this hotel was just ok I’ve stayed in other hotels in the ‘choice hotel’ family before and had a much better experience When we arrived (on a Friday night), the receptionist was definitely overwhelmed, and was by herself

She did the best she could to check in all the guests (including some who were more interested in talking with friends than noticing the 5-deep line to check in), take phone calls about how to get into the pool and people coming up to the desk to exchange towelsWe got to our room, and there was hair all over the couch, stains on the pull out mattress, black mold the shower Interestingly, even though the room was for 4 people, they only had two bath towels in the room, and we had 3 people The tub stopper didn’t work and the water continued draining even when the stopper was down The tub drain also was clogged, so the shower backed up and drained extremely slowlyIn the morning, the included breakfast had really reasonable options, but the employee dedicated to monitoring the breakfast area did not check any of the food or supplies (coffee cups, juice cups, waffle mix), and was more interested in talking with other employees Guests were searching for replacement supplies themselves, and only after a guest alerted the general manager that the breakfast supplies were low did the employee come back to service and restockI’m sure the hotel is short staffed, like everywhere else, and the employees did the best they could – but for almost $200/night, I was expecting a little more cleanliness and attention to detail

Stopped at this hotel to book a reservation and was immediately told there was NO rooms available The parking lot was empty so I was skeptical! Seriously, maybe had 7 cars in it and this was at 7:00 PMDecided to get on a few websites and type in availability for hotels near me

ALL of the sites stated that this hotel did INDEED have rooms available Comfort Suites OWN website choicehotelscom stated there was availabilityAt this point I would rather pay DOUBLE to go anywhere else! Once a major fan of comfort suites hotels, not anymore! You will never see business from this family again!Went down the road, TONS of availability at a much nicer hotel! So they are full and a hotel 1 mile away has several available rooms?!? I don’t think so! They LIE!
