Just checked out and I can’t say enough great things about this hotel I love the showers Awesome water pressure and they had updated seamless shower enclosures so there was NO MILDEW 🤩

The rooms were clean and the staff was very friendly We were visiting family and the location was perfectWe had a nice corner room and it was very quiet There were a lot of people staying and we heard no outside noiseWe didn’t get a chance to try out the pool or the breakfast buffet but hopefully will get to next time we stay because I will definitely be back!

Nice, quick check in for a one night stay I was surprised to hear that breakfast was from 5:30-8:30

I woke up early after 24 hours of travel so as not to miss itThe hotel’s interior is recently renovated and the room reflected that It was clean and comfortable with plenty of towels and toiletries The hotel was quiet, shower was hot, and breakfast was decent My sink was clogged and drained very slowly, too late before I realized it And I think it’s unhygienic to put the coffeemaker in the bathroom

Janeen Maul

This hotel charges a $150 deposit that is returned after 3 to 5 business days It is not listed on the reservation or the confirmation they send Ridiculous considering the room is only $130 per night, I’m a rewards member, booked directly through them with a credit card, and stay frequently at other best westerns without issue

The woman at the front desk was rude, abrupt, and very unhelpful She took a phone call while I was attempting to check in and was rude to that person as well I had her cancel the stay and drove to another best western in Frederick where they treat their guests with respect and don’t charge a ridiculous deposit

The only reason that I gave this two stars rather than one because of the staff is really nice But this hotel has seen its better Days The rooms smells molded, it may be the carpet

It was difficult for me to sleep because of the smell I had a headache for the 2 nights that I stayed there My coworkers stated the same thingNormally hotel lobbies are nice and updated Not this one, so you know what you are going to get when you get to your room Even the wallpaper has scratches and dirt on it Horrible!!! Do not stay here unless you live lesser than this!

Gavin GUARDMAN

We booked in to a “suite” which is putting it very modestly The only upgrade was a bit more floor room It was on the fifth floor

There was peeling paint and wallpaper across most of the walls The toilet would not flush and ended up clogging immediately When going to the front desk, clerk was on a smoke break and had to call maintenance personally who was just not at work What kind of Hilton has no maintenance staff? We had to plunge the toilet ourselves Subsequently another person in my party tried to shower and the bath tub backed up When going to plunge to it to maybe try and fix it, black pieces came out of the drain God only knows what those were So we asked to move which they obliged The room the system said was available was not It was filthy and torn apart and smelt like some one had died in it from the hallway Back down to the desk we went They finally seemed to pull enough sense together to get us into a room seeing as how it’s approaching midnight and we’d be lucky if there was any more available The consolation was free ice cream and a changed rate The rate going from 135 to 99 a night In my opinion this place was comparable to a motel 6 which cost 30 dollars a night I probably would have slept better there I like a stiffer bed but I left with back pain The ac wasn’t working properly either as I dropped it to 66 degrees and the ambient temp stayed around 71 Damp and dingy The lobby bathroom stall is falling apart The pool was nice enough with a broken gate The entirety of the hotel comes from a time forgotten which was kinda cool for two minutes until you see how nasty it actually is I guess if I was as drugged as hunter s Thompson in fear and loathing this place would be marvelous But it is indeed a dumpster fire If you have live anywhere close to better than this hotel is not for you

Before a long day of travel, I had booked a room at this hotel for over $200 in hopes of rest before a 7 hour drive the next day I arrived to a chaotic place with people having cookouts and throwing baseballs in the parking lot There was one person working on an incredibly busy night

I tried to go to sleep just before 9pm to no avail There was yelling, screaming, and door slamming I contacted the front desk They sent “security” up to quell the ruckus to no avail The next time I called the lady said she’d have them evicted, but still nothing I called the front desk 8 times over the course of 3 hours and as I write this the noise is still as loud as it was at 9pm This is behavior I expect paying $60 at a Motel 6, but this is a Hilton property charging almost 4 times that amount Stay away from this place if you actually want to sleep

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and it was phenomenal It was quite and clean The staff was friendly and very accommodating

The breakfast was more than expected There were a variety of food choices from hot to cold foods as well as assorted fruits and juices It was nice to see that they offered turkey sausage because not everybody eats pork I would definitely recommend and stay here again

Megan Spencer

What a fabulous hotel! My family and I were pleasantly surprised at how large the room was! The room and entire hotel was so clean The breakfast was great for what was offered with lots of different choices Definitely using this hotel next time we are in the area! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful answering all of my questions

The only downfall, the pool was closed for the time we were there

Gaspi corgi

Third stay here and it’s always awesome! Ladies at the front the desk could be friendlier, seemed grumpy, but other than that it was a great stay! Clean hotel rooms and bathrooms Excellent breakfast choices with alternatives to pork The housemen and breakfast attendant Derry were very friendly! Especially Derry, she made our family breakfast special

Thank you so much to her!!!!! Will keep coming back

Room was amazing and had no problems during stay I will definitely stay again when in the area again I will also refer others Breakfast was delightful, and the evening mixer was a pleasant treat

This was my first time in a Homewood suit layout vs their other properties I travel all the time for work about two weeks to a month I thought it was a nice apartment like feel

Which was nice because I felt at home The hotel room had four-part area with walls separating each: kitchen, living room, bedroom, and bathroom I really like the full kitchen with a 2-person table set up I was surprised to see silverware, cooking pan, dishwasher, and full-size refrigerator The bed/ bath/ living room were so spacious My service animal loved the owner and his staff

Ca Burnet

Cold showers Asked to be on the first floor they put me on the sixth They double booked my room and people barged in on me at midnight

UNACCEPTABLE Their tv’s look like they are from 1982 Lobby looks beautiful but the rooms look old and run down The door key scanner is broken and insides are exposed Not sure how secure that is They take months to reimburse the incidentals you have to pay for up front Not staying here ever again Recommending no one in our company ever use this garbage hotel ever again Would give negative reviews if possible

The Hampton Inn Laurel is a basic hotel The best things about it were: the location, the excellent staff, and the complimentary hot breakfast All the staff members were there to make your stay the best, and each took pride in the property they work at

The rooms are badly in need of renovation Our first room had a soft and old bed, but when we were moved to another room upon request, the bed was better In both rooms the bathroom sinks did not drain, although the showers were strong and decent The tiled floors need re-grouting The colors are dark and dingy, and the carpet had some stains The views were terrible, and the windows did not open for any air However, the A/C was sufficient There is no fan in the bathroom, which is a problem with steam when one showered I think that is a code violation We did ask for housekeeping during our 3 day stay and they did a good job The breakfast was very good and the coffee was delicious The lobby was nicely appointed and comfortable The pool looks nice, however it was not open when we were there I think that the staff goes above and beyond for their guests, but the sad appearance and condition of the rooms will lead me in a different direction when I book a stay in the greater Laurel area in the future

walter brzyski

Just OK, seems dated, had to pry my Gold Member bottle of water and snack from the front desk member She stated I only get water, but the sign shows Gold or Diamond is eligible, she then obliged Weird exchange

Walls are super thin, as you can hear the cell phone ring in the next room, the whole conversation, them using the bathroom(number 1) and then washing their hands Like having a roommate, but not seeing them, only hearing them I will check other properties outside of this area moving forward

I compare this this long term stay (over 60 days) with other hotels in the area; no comparison This is by far the best feel of being home, relaxed Incidents of belligerent tenants were swiftly handled by the staff and law enforcement officers

I would gladly return hereStaff forgets sometimes to fill consumable supplies; they could use check-off lists Otherwise, they are friendly Breakfast is more than filling

Ash p

The hot water went out one night and I had to shower in a different building which happens, I get it Unfortunately that was the least of my problems I had my do not disturb up for my entire stay

One day while in the room a housekeeper knocked on the door, not announcing himself with a key in his hand ready to enter ( I can see him through the peephole) He must have heard me and walked away Another day I leave and make sure the “do not disturb” is on the door but return to a room that had been entered and “cleaned” in the bathroom only Apparently do not disturb means nothing This is a huge safety concern that regardless of the sign being up, a male feels he can enter into a room any time he wants I came across several comments left by previous guests with similar complaints so this is a known issue at this location

Compfy, convenient and caring (Nov 2020) July 2022 – This hotel does not live up to or meet the Marriott standardWe stayed here 2 years ago and it was great

Came back to visit the area again and this stay was disappointing One of the first things they asked me was do you want housekeeping? I asked if there was still the program to get points to have fewer cleanings, she said no First thing we noticed right away was the ripped curtains, wow what a greeting Then the carpet in the room felt kind of sticky, so was the kitchen floor Then one night we went out for dinner and came back to find no parking left at all (8:00 PM), everyone had to find parking elsewhereThings we liked were the outside flowers were very nice, the halls were kept clean and smelled nice The other items in the room were serviceable and my wife liked the ironing board and iron One of the ladies on the service team did stop by to pick up any towels for cleaning I liked the air conditioning; it worked well and not too loud (plus I could control how cool I wanted it) Beds and linen were great We enjoyed the standard fare at breakfast and the coffee was always hot and filled The manager reached out to me to advise me that she is looking into these issues

The staff is really, really nice!! Easy to get to by public transit— you can call their shuttle to get you from the metro, but it only runs on weekends right now bc of the pandemic It’s about a mile walk in an easy flat area if you don’t have too much luggage or it’s a nice day Beds are super comfy and the showers are great

The toiletries provided are lightly scented and smell great! The rooms are kind of dark at night which I don’t really like, but they are otherwise great Nice and clean The light switches are all electronic buttons which might take you a few minutes to work out but once you get the hang of it it’s kinda nifty The pool and gym are solid and the conference amenities are very attractive as well I haven’t been to the spa myself but a friend got her nails done there and had a great experience The bar is wonderful, though the beer selection is pretty smallThey make a great bloody mary!

Jenny Terry

I loved my stay here! Beautiful hotel with an amazing view Conveniently located just steps from the University of Maryland The staff was nice, the room was immaculate, and the bed was so comfortable

If you are planning a trip to DC this is a great option just outside the district but is located near the metro line I really enjoyed my stay here and hope to visit again

Janna Chan

I have stayed at the University of Maryland Hotel several times over the past few yearsThe rates are good and the service is excellent The staff is very friendly

I wish that some of the rooms had bath tubs instead of just showers but that’s a minor issueThe two restaurants right next to the premises, a pizza place and a bagel place, are excellent and reasonably pricedObviously this location makes sense if you’re doing something at the University of Maryland However, it’s a very clean and professional outfit for anyone staying in the DC area in general

Not as horrible as some of the reviews But no coffee for us early risers AND they charge for it anyways No breakfast either

Thin walls, hear everything It is very dated Grass was super high for my dogs and there was dog feces all over the courtyard (Bad dog parents, but still very unkept grounds) Definitely odor of marijuana in some hallways Needs to be demolished and updated Came back through, stayed elsewhere; much happier

Steve Tasco

It was kinda clean

that’s itok really where do I start? No microwave in room, a community microwave where the ice machine that doesn’t work iscleaned by who??? Me? Good luck with breakfast, if your schedule has you gone by 7:30 no breakfastnot sure they even have onemaybe someone could let me knowStaff was friendly enough but that’s not really important if they don’t offer anything else, a 2 outta 5 is kind

bdubz 612

The room was nice and that’s the only thing about this place that was okay The staff is ignorant, they not only don’t have any type of breakfast but they sell little cups of cereal and they also sell their cups of coffee I’m sorry but someone spends over 100$ to stay a night at your establishment the least you could do is give a cup of coffee for them in the morning

Very disgraceful and greedy is all they are

This was not a comfortable stay for us It was not a nice Embassy Suites The entire hotel seemed unclean and outdated

I can’t even get into all of the details of the different issues with thatOur room smelled terrible The couch in the living room was so dirty I asked my daughter to not touch it The curtain rod from the shower was hanging down from loose screws on both ends of it, from the walls We could not even keep the shower curtain closed enough for water to not come out onto the floor And we could only shower after having maintenance come up to jimmy the faucets to get them to workThe back of the toilet tank was broken, there were stains on the bathroom floor The carpet was very dirtyAfter just feeling so uncomfortable in the hotel itself, we were at least looking forward to breakfast Got down there at 6 because we had to hit the road, and waited for a while only to be told that because it was a holiday, breakfast was not until 7 That was annoying because not only were we told 6, we were also given a piece of paper that said 6 o’clock The man sending us away actually argued with me and told me I would have been given a piece of paper upon check in that said because of the holiday it was 7 I pulled out the paper to show him, which said 6 And another couple standing and waiting with us, had actually just called the front desk and were also told 6 So we had to leave without eating and go find a gas station breakfast so we could hit the road Really just annoying and disappointing Not a fun stay

Visited MD 5 times within 3 months because I’m buying a house and, so far this is best hotel we stayed at Amazing location, Hotel is gorgeous, staff is nice, unlimited parking… but few things why I’m not giving 5 stars- 1st and most important, room cleaning service is available only every day and you HAVE TO REQUEST IT FIRST

So if you booked for 3 days or 2, your room will not be taken care of- Rooms are too close to each other Almost no privacy When you open your room, a bunch of people can see inside if they are outside in front of their rooms, on the balcony or even in the elevators which are fully transparent- The breakfast service has this lady who is so unprofessional and rude Zero customer service I went to breakfast on day 2 and it was a very nice and professional gentleman making the omelettes On day 3 it was a lady and literally everyone was complaining about her attitudeOverall, it was a good stay even if I called a week ahead and specifically asked for a baby crib in my room for our little one but it was not there Luckily we got it about an hour later after checking in That didn’t affect my review I wish I can give 45

Christopher Mabes

This past weekend we stayed at the Embassy Suites at BWI We spent 36,000 points for a suite and were super disappointed When we arrived our room only had two towels and three pillows, which clearly isn’t enough

The room overall felt dated and honestly dirty The carpeting was pulling up in the common areas The shower was tiny (see photo) and there was mold around the whole base The shelf in the shower had been ripped out of the wall and never put back up, so our shampoo and soaps had to be placed on the floor (see photo) The floor of the shower was also poorly patched leaving it super rough The toilet paper holder had also been ripped from the wall and not replaced (see photo) We told the front desk, but I think they misunderstood and sent us extra soap and toilet paper The staff was struggling due to the hotel being booked and them being stretched thin The evening reception was poor We were limited to three drink options and poor bar snacks There were only two staff members, so the drink line backed up to the lobby Again, we have no complaints with the staff, there just weren’t enough of them Then for breakfast they couldn’t keep up with the crowds There was only one person bring out food, which left the counters a mess and everything constantly empty The man was trying so hard to keep up and he was so kind, but in a fully booked hotel, one person is not enough for this task The parking lot was dark and there were hardly any open spots We came across a car (not far from our own) with a smashed window and all the tires missing (see photo) There were no cameras or security around the parking lot, which was super alarming Additionally, this was my first stay I have had since achieving Hilton honors diamonds status and nothing was mentioned or provided regarding my status during my stay

Very nice hotel! The staff were friendly and attentive The hotel appears updated, clean, and bright The handicap accessible room was great

The roll in shower was nice and had an adjustable shower head They provided a shower chair that made it easy to transfer and take my shower There are tons of outlets for charging your devices and I found the king sized bed really comfortable I would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay here again

We had a great experience from the front desk with Steve checking us in being very helpful and courteous Our room was very clean and beautiful and the mattress hugs you while you’re sleeping lol It was very hard to get out of bed so comfortable

Breakfast was super fresh and very delicious yummy I really appreciated the great service we got at Breakfast It would be great to have lunch and dinner there Looking forward to going back very soon One of my top three hotels

The level of customer service for such a beautiful hotel was terrible to say the least My family and I drove 3 hours to help my sister who recently had a baby and was overwhelmed They paid for a room for us to stay in not far from their house

Upon arrival/registration process, I was told the room was not paid for and I would need to pay about $461 for the 2 nights After getting the paperwork I noticed a different card from mines showing and questioned it With an annoyed tone the rep said it was only to hold the room, which still needs to be paid for so sign here I completed the check in process as I was already exhausted and just ready to get some sleep My mom and children went up to the room while I looked for a parking spot After getting upstairs, I noticed the door would not lock at the bottom, but decided to ignore it and use the top latch I noticed my mom who is anemic,, sitting with her head wrapped up and shivering I asked what was wrong with the heat she said it wasn’t coming on but maybe she didn’t know what she was doing After trying it myself, I noticed the thermostat was not working at all, it was an old time wall thermostat with the switch on the bottom and temperature buttons to adjust No lights were displayed to indicate it was working so I called down to service desk to get it fixed or moved to another room By this time it’s a out 11:30 and had worked since 6am The woman answered the phone and after I explained what was going on replied, there are no utility workers on shift, the hotel is completely booked and the only option is to get some blankets to us I said fine reluctantly and waited for the blankets The security guard brought 2 blankets for us a few minutes later and said normally you just have to turn up the heat to warm it up He checked it out and said wow you’re right, nothing IS happening Maybe then can put you downstairs This time my mom called the front desk and was met with an unfriendly even more annoyed tone After another explanation of the heat situation, my mom asked to speak with a manager; she was told, “There is no manager, we are fully booked and I’m busy right now” My mother said there is no way I’m paying all this money to stay at a hotel with no heat, if you can’t help me then we’ll take our money elsewhere She then said you’re welcome to leave which we did After speaking to my sister, she was furious because the Crown Plaza had an affiliate hotel right across the street The agent could have tried just a tad bit more to act like she cared about her guests Customer Service is the face of a business and that experience could have been managed so differently If I could give 0 stars I would

Oh what a coincidence looking at these reviews When my husband and I were told by the front desk female manager that we were the only guests that complained about roaches at this hotel This Comfort Inn is infested with roaches

This is unsanitary and if the bugs are in one room then they are in the entire hotel My Valentine’s was ruin due to the poor condition of this hotel We use to love staying in the jacuzzi but not after last night We had issues here and there But nothing like our last visit and as we were celebrating a special day We’ll never reserve another room at this location again When my husband checked in he noticed a bug as the manager offer to change the room However he didn’t think anything of it because it was only one as he was sanitizing the room But it wasn’t until I arrived that more bugs started coming out I noticed one on the floor and around the jacuzzi area But once we were comfortable within celebrating Valentine’s Day we turned the lights off and they began coming out more and crawling around It was to late to reserve a room at one of the surrounding hotel because everyone were booked up Therefore we had to sleep with all the lights on in the room The manager don’t have to respond to my review because after already being lied to there’s no else that can be said I would appreciate if someone from Corporate would follow up on this matter

I can’t describe enough how grateful I am for the attentive and kind staff and excellent rooms I stayed here for several months and never had issues Anything I needed help on the staff promptly took care of

The food was good and the rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable I so enjoyed staying here and had such an excellent experience The front desk workers even knew my name after a while and were such a pleasure to interact with The housekeeping staff was equally pleasant and did a great job This is the perfect place to stay both short and long term 11/10 🙂

We had a 2 bedroom suite (King + 2 Queens) It was convenient to DC The service (of the front desk staff and those in breakfast/evening social) was quality

Pros: plenty of room for my 5 kids, full fridge & counter in room, some basic cooking things, shower for parents & tub shower for kids, doors to bedrooms, clean upon arrival, front desk staff was nice, mini waffles at breakfastCons: furniture & things had wear (rip in couch arm, non-functional can opener), tiny cooktop, didn’t know we had to request housekeeping to get fresh towels and empty trashService only down a star because they didn’t tell us housekeeping required a request (This is a new, common thing, but we haven’t traveled much since covid and didn’t know)

-I was in the area for a weekend music fest and the hotel was well-located and convenient The rooms are spacious, comfortable and well-appointed The complimentary breakfast is a nice touch along with the free WIFI and EV charging stations

It’s immediately adjacent to a shopping area with restaurants and a nice food market I would definitely stay there again Staff are friendly and informative, but unobtrusive

As someone who works on the front lines of Covid I frequent hotels near and far I’m usually met with a lack luster attitude or seem to be a bother when simply checking into my hotel, I’m saying all that to say I meet allot of front desk personnel and very rarely do I come across one like Lauren Bowman her attitude is infectious she always has a smile and remembers your name and has the most bubbly personality I have ever encountered she makes you feel like your at a home away from home she goes above and beyond to ensure you have a pleasant visit, I wish more hotel staff were like her, I would also like to give kudos to everyone I have encountered at this hotel they all are friendly and welcoming this location is super convenient everything is in a 2 minute walking distance if you need to stay in the Fulton area trust me this is the only choice !!

This is a hotel that lives up to the Marriott good name It wasn’t brand new but it was very clean The breakfast was acceptable, and it’s nice to see hotels serving breakfasts again after a long hiatus due to the pandemic

The front desk was friendly The fitness room was clean and had some very nice drinking water Overall I would recommend this hotel

Casie Sulzle [Carlson]

There were always staff cleaning, and it felt like the whole hotel was clean Our floor even got shampooed during our stay, it was comforting that they cleaned oftenThe rooms were definitely outdated

The carpet under our chair was ripped up, the walls needed new paint, and our tub drained very slowly But, it seemed very clean and the bed was comfy!Breakfast was great! Shout-out to the chef because she came and greeted guests and kept everything stockedPool was a huge plus, as were the kind staff who recognized us in the lobby

Naomi Reinbold

I don’t feel like the pictures represented the hotel to date For the price it isn’t horrible but the best part of the room was the bathroom Our air-conditioner sounded like it was going to break off the wall, our TV was broken, when we let them know about it they sent new batteries for the remote, they never even came to the room to check it out

The pool was empty and being fixed We weren’t going swimming anyways but for people who have kids this may have ended badly I was just disappointed in the overall experience Hotels cost money and to have it be an experience where I was ready to leave at 1:30 am and continue my drive home it warranted a detailed review I will definitely not stay here again

Overall, the hotel was fine but below standard for what I expect from a Marriott The pool is still closed “due to COVID” There is no indication of this anywhere and the lights in the pool house are on, resulting in very disappointed children

Our air conditioning did not work and our room did not lock There were also ants in our room and our shower head dripped nonstop Breakfast was great with a ton of variety and apart from the ants, the room was super clean and the beds were comfy

Matthew Peregoy

Booked a room here before an early flight Good location near Arundel Mills Mall and Live Casino but only 12 min from long term parking They have a shuttle if needed

They upgraded our room, which was nice; however, we requested feather-free through their website when booking and had feather pillows in the room, not foam We even asked at the desk at check in and they said the room would have both feather and non feather pillows It did not

O. Reua

Nice hotel and has a short commute to grocery stories like Walmart and Giant Very close to the Arundel Mills if you want to go a do some shopping and 13 minutes away from base The casino is nearby as well as many restaurants and fast food places if you are hungry

The staff is friendly and are prompt if you have an issue with anything They offer free laundry with detergent at an expense unless you bring your own I came here before the previous hotel I stayed in that was dirty and had mold I am recommending this to others!

Awesome stay! We missed our connection so got to spend an unexpected night in Baltimore and chose this hotel Our whole experience started off great when Chris the shuttle driver picked us up What an asset this man is to the hotel! Professional, cares about his job and his customers, just delightful! The lovely Camille checked us in

She too is super professional, genuine, and welcoming She too is a delight Another excellent asset to the organization Our room was comfy, good pillows, very comfortable bed, with both a microwave and refrigerator We had to leave too early to enjoy breakfast but the area is beautiful with 3 hot offerings being readied I highly recommend this hotel!

Matt W. (Unkown11Player)

Water pressure and water temp were both great The hotel room was clean however the lamps outlets didn’t work at all, had to unplug them to plug in my chargerThe food prices are un-marked and the breakfast in the morning is not free

I thought they were confirming my room, but they were charging for breakfast

Joe Weessies

This is really two hotels in one HGI on the bottom floors and the suites on the upper floors Nothing free even breakfast anymore

Has a laundry and workout with pool but it’s crowded since two hotels Location was good for me Rooms clean quiet but not when you got kids running around and off course with the suites on the higher floors you get stomping I hate that but what can you do

Clean, quiet and convenient location Spacious rooms with mini fridge and microwave Extended continental breakfast hours on weekends

Early check-in option with 11a check out Sofa and desk located in rooms There were cracks in the ceiling in bathroom but nothing more problematic in room There are Dove products for body and hair which was extremely delightful! Housekeeping has a presence and politely knocked on the door as a reminder that check out was in 10 minutes The breakfast was a bit interesting, surprised no potatoes There is a pancake makersorry no waffles! Cinnamon rolls were dry Eggs, sausage, gravy, biscuits were hot food items There is also a pool area! Plenty of uncovered parking out front This hotel is very clean all over I highly recommend if you are in the area for business or personal travel

I would love to give this hotel an excellent review because it appeared as if the customer service was superb and the rooms were clean and smelled good I had to put a $50 deposit when I was using my debit card This was fine even though I spoke to them on the phone and they didn’t tell me anything about a deposit when using a credit card or when using cash

I was supposed to use cash to pay for the room but there was $150 deposit when using cash This is not noted on a sign anywhere and was not told to me when I made the reservation and specifically ask what is the total cost to reserve the room I paid for two days but I actually checked out early on the second day before The cleaning staff even got to my room I did not expect to get a refund for that day But I had a feeling that because the room was paid for for the entire day and the cleaning staff hadn’t even made it to my room that they were going to either use my room for their own personal use or try to sell the room to someone else I had no issue with that but my suspicions was something funny was going to happen This was May 1 that I checked out and now it is May 12 and I still have not received my $50 deposit They are holding my money hostage I have called them and they claim that they have sent it back and I have also called my bank and they say that Holiday Inn express is holding my $50 deposit still I would never use my card at this hotel again let alone even do business with them I left the room spotless and I know I did not make any damages so there was no need for them to hold my $50 deposit A matter of fact they assured me that everything was fine and they had released my $50 deposit I am highly upset because I needed that money because it wasn’t in my budget to give that to them in the first place There is some shady stuff going on there and I do feel like it was racially motivated

Stayed here 3 nights for business It is decent hotel overall besides the really hard and uncomfortable bed, but the horrible service ruined it for me I called multiple weeks ahead and asked for late checkout for my final day since I had work to do, which they agreed and told me the latest was 3pm

Great So I planned to work and leave by 3pm The night before checkout, I even called the front desk to confirm I had late checkout They told me yes, they see it on my reservation, no problem However at 11:15 the morning of checkout, I get a call in my room by Evelyn at the front desk saying I need to check out I told her I had arranged late checkout and she told me, no you did not, we don’t do that, you need to leave because we have a large party coming and we need to clean your room I told her, it was arranged ahead of time for my reservation and I even confirmed last night She replied, oh that person is new they don’t know what they’re doing Wow I told her, well I’m in the middle of work I can’t stop and I need until 3pm as I had planned to After going back and forth she agreed to 2pm, even though I needed 3pm as planned I asked to speak to a manager and was told there was none Only when I asked her name did she say okay, you can stay until 3 This after arguing with me and being extremely rude and unprofessional In all my years of staying at hotels, I’ve never ever experienced being treated like that This same person, Evelyn, was even rude at check in She wasn’t even at the front desk when I arrived and the door was locked so I couldn’t even get in the hotel I waited for a while before she finally let me in Once I did and got my room key, I asked for a cart to haul up all my stuff since I had a lot and was told they’re all occupied No concern whatsoever as I struggled to get all my stuff up People like Evelyn should not work in hospitality Oh and the kicker is when I checked out before 3pm, this large party they were kicking me out for was not even there So all that arguing and rude service… for nothing I was planning to come stay at this hotel regularly and now I’ll take my business elsewhere

Just OK, seems dated, had to pry my Gold Member bottle of water and snack from the front desk member She stated I only get water, but the sign shows Gold or Diamond is eligible, she then obliged Weird exchange

Walls are super thin, as you can hear the cell phone ring in the next room, the whole conversation, them using the bathroom(number 1) and then washing their hands Like having a roommate, but not seeing them, only hearing them I will check other properties outside of this area moving forward

we had a two bedroom suite so it was roomy enough the ice maker was not turned on and there was no ice maker on our floor so that was a hasslethe TV remote was impossible to use was very strange this is only in the common space between the two bedroomsI think the king size bed in one of the rooms needs to be replacedit’s great that they’re ceiling fans in the bedrooms

the bathroom was decent but the small space between the toilet and shower made it a tight fit

My husband and I recently drove up from South East Florida This trip we decided to do in three days instead of two Our final destination being the east end of Long Island

We really weren’t sure where to make our second stop If you should find yourself in a similar situation, I highly recommend Homewood Suites by Hilton in Columbia, Maryland We always stay at Hilton properties when we made this drive However Homewood Suites is our favorite out of all the Hilton properties at which we have stayed If you’re looking for a comfortable bed, a clean large suite, 24 hour coffee and a complementary breakfast then this may be the place for you I also love the fact that their linens are white The room was immaculate It was everything we were looking for in an overnight stay, but could easily accommodate a much longer stay

M. Hunter Haglund

This is a very busy location that is starting to show its age It’s conveniently located, but I’m going to need to find a different place to stay I’ve been coming here every few months for a couple years-and any excuses I could come up with to justify it were used up in the first two years of the pandemic

Now they just need to get their act together Hopefully they will pay a little bit better attention to guest services, and repairing/replacing surface wear
