Loves loved loved this hotel! I’m pretty particular when it comes to hotels and I did a fair amount of research before settling on this one for a recent stay and boy was I pleased with my choice! The hotel is beautiful, newer build, great management and staff, good amenities, comfortable rooms, ample parking (even for trailers) and close to TONS of shopping and even an urban lake! I’ll be looking to stay here again when I’m in the area!

Killer location right across from the airport, you could walk there easily Super convenient Got a great night’s sleep

Breakfast in the morning is warm and excellent The staff was extremely helpful in rebooking a room after a two-day travel delay They didn’t have to do this for us, but they did That is the service that keeps me coming back to the Hyatt hotel brand 5 stars!

Kingof “kingof9x” 9x

The staff at the desk is great The rooms smelled funky until I ran the AC cold for a few hours, the TV suggests that you use the chromecast, but it’s missing Coffee machine exists but there is nothing to put in it

The internet is extremely slow It took minutes to open gmail I didn’t even bother trying Netflix or YouTube Come on Hyatt, I know this isn’t up to your standards

NATE HARDKOR (HARDKORNATE)

Best free breakfast, you get two waters or energy drinks if you are a frequent user, the bar is open, the gym is open, they have epic AV hookups in the room, they will give you a toothbrush, the walls are thick, you can bring a dog(I know the walls are thick because someone had a barker last time and I couldn’t hear it in the room next door but it barked at me in the hallway) and the staff is legit AF

Rebecca Clark (Becca)

The location is right downtown so there are some shady people outside of the hotel but inside the hotel has a lot of character! The staff is really friendly and the bar is well stocked with great menu and good drinks Classy with a shabby chic look The event room that we used was fabulous with again great character

Shabby chic, music icons , nice details Highly recommend!

Breakfast in the restaurant was pretty darn good Huge portions to match the price The room was very warm

I kept adjusting the thermostat to no avail Called twice On the second day, Joseph came and fixed the issue But hot water and cold water were turned on Should only have been cold turned on He knew what the problem was and fixed it quickly Very dog friendly hotel Though I was told on the phone the fee was 7500, but at the hotel they charged 10000, there is a great little dog park right next to the hotel She to a festival on the street, finding the parking garage was very difficult due to all the blocked off streets Overall a decent stay

Nick B

This is a decent hotel and is right in downtown Reno Right next to the Reno sign in fact It is also not a casino, which is rare

The rooms are nice and clean, staff is friendly There is a bouldering gym and climbing wall on the side of the building if you’re into thatThis hotel allows guests with dogs, which some people may appreciate, but it seems like they mix the dog owners with non dog owners on all the floorsI had an aggressive dog bark at me and my family as an elevator opened Some people don’t control their dogs and let them run around the lobby and hallways You also can hear dogs barking from your hotel room Also, I don’t want to stay in a room that had a dog before meI think they need to plan this out better and put the dog owners on a single floor down low instead of making other guests suffer It is also a huge liability if anyone gets bitten on their property Just saying

For the price, this hotel was excellent I loved our room layout with its little alcove where I could read while my wife was watching TV But more importantly, the owner is the kind of person who is so pleasant and helpful that there is nothing you would want more than to see him succeed

The guy really tried to go out of his way to make our stay a pleasant one He succeeded No coffee in the morning, but there is a nice little coffee shop right next door

John Coronel

I stayed for one night the room has a perfect layouts The room are very clean Lots of different food walking distance

The employees are very approachable and very courteous I first met Troy he was very helpful and professional When I come to Reno I will definitely come here again They also got a shuttles to the airport This is a 5 star hotel I recommend anyone to come and get a room

Tabitha Bolanos

Top notch! This hotel was better than some of the more expensive ones I’ve stayed in They went out of their way to make me comfortable I loved that they paid attention to small details like using packaged coffee stirrers to avoid germs

They also recommended good places to eat This hotel sets the standard I will definitely stay here again if I get the chancePros:-Shuttle to and from the airport-very friendly staff-very clean-close to shops and food-basic breakfast is free and substantial

A very nice hotel with a welcome feel My king room was spacious and clean Free breakfast in the morning is always a win for me

The staff was friendly The only negative was the location and trying to get back around 5pm, every way you go you are spending an extra 15 minutes in bumper to bumper Any other time of day was fine so not a deal breaker and not the fault of the hotel! I would stay again! Thank you

Jennifer Nicholas

My husband and I live in Utah and planned a trip w our golden retriever to Carmel, CA We needed a pet friendly hotel for outgoing and returning trips The Fairfield Inn was perfect: accommodated our request for a first floor room by an exterior door

They provide poop bags in the front and have large grassy areas Close to the freeway and decent restaurants Larry, the manager, and all of his staff were terrific in every way!! Good continental breakfast w plenty of options and snacks in the afternoons Rooms were clean, quiet and odorless Our AC’s were great You were made to feel welcome Would highly recommend this hotel regardless of whether you have a pet!

Den Star

Well, it’s pretty expensive for what you get It’s clean but it’s not great The problem is, no hot water

The front desk told me they got somebody working on it But we haven’t seen anybody I wish we had stayed somewhere else Oh well Lesson learned Next time we will try a different hotel For close to $500 for 2 nights, I feel like we could have done a lot better I guess it’s my own fault I should have done more investigating on other properties

This is not a fancy resort hotel It is for locals and budget travellers who want a nice place to stay, but quiet and out of the tourist areas Right next to Sparks marina, so half the rooms overlook the lake

Stayed here many times over the last 3 years when purchasing and remodeling my retirement house Casino and restaurants are mainly used by locals Casino may be small, but it is nicely decorated and not a zoo like downtown casinos Restaurants are as good as in the big casinos, but much less expensive Highly recommended for people on a budget or don’t want the big resort hotel experience

Western Village is just outside of Reno, in Sparks NV Usually I’ve stayed in Reno What a blessing this place is

They were near capacity on a Mon night They gave me a marina view room Great viewThis place was wonderfully quiet Maybe because it doesn’t attract young partiers I had one of the best nights of sleep I had during my entire week long journeyThis is my new go to destination for a fab night of rest, in a clean, nicely appointed environment without spending $150 or moreSparks is a great town

provoschoolbus

DO NOT JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVER! This place was amazing Clean, fluffy towels, extra bedding in room, coffee We had a “marina” view with no upgrade

The only reason it’s not a five star is because it needs work outside We literally almost drove away But we will definitely be staying again Not a five star hotel But really close

I arrived in the evening to seemingly bother the front desk clerk I noticed the airport shuttle and asked about service Ms attitude told me it had to be booked well in advance

The vibe of the hotel is industrial with live music in the lobby giving it a festive edge The hallways appeared dingy and the carpet had not been vacuumed Later in the evening when I turned down my bed I found it to have no sheets The night manager, Jeremy was very responsive and helpful The next morning however, the hair dryer didn’t work either Housekeeping brought the dryer I asked her to service the room She said they don’t offer service to guests that stay less than 7 nights😳 they did service the room but my Kindle fire was taken I was booked for a total of 4 nights, but I left after 2 Although I did have a great experience with some of staff, I did not feel it was a hospitality driven property

Lizzy Z

The aloft is a nice and modern hotel within walking distance to the airport Interactions with the staff have been nice and they’re friendly The rooms have comfy furniture and lovely interior

I’m not a big fan of carpet so staying in a hotel with hardwood floors is an A+Although there isn’t much to do nearby the hotel provides you with board games, a pool table, and an outdoor swimming pool with a nice big patio where you can enjoy a drink and food from the barLastly, shuttle is upon request but will come and pick you up right away

Lisa Griggs

I wish I could give this place 10 starsIn fact, I wanted to write to corporate about the staff specifically which makes this place so specialHow we ended up at the Aloft was because we couldn’t get checked in at the Hyatt place next door (even though our room was prepaid for)

They couldn’t get their systems to issue keys so we went over to Aloft at 4 am – after driving all through the nightWe didn’t have a reservation at Aloft and they were full But, Jeremy helped us by moving some things around so we could easily get to bed to rest before having to head to the hospitalJeremy went way above what any staff member has ever done at any hotel I have ever seen He was kind and hospitable You can tell – he loves his jobThe hotel was so nice Very clean Dog friendly Safe SecureThey offer lots of amenities Pool, gym and a lobby full of board games and a pool tableThere is a restaurant bar on site and also a snack store downstairs that offers a wide variety of food and beveragesThe hotel is dog friendly too! So you’ll see friendly animals around from time to timeThe hotel is convenient to the airport and the Renown Reno hospital We stayed 2 different times during the week Because my father was in the hospital and it was nice to come back to a hotel that treated me and cared for me like I was their own familyI will forever be grateful for the ease they gave my family through this difficult timeWould definitely recommend this hotel when staying in Reno You will not be disappointed Fun, hip vibe

Absolutely wonderful stay Hotel was really nice and my room exceeded my expectations Not only was the hotel wonderful, but the staff is absolutely amazing

Everyone always greeted me with a smile and asked about my day It meant a lot to me I’m the moment because I was going through a rough time dealing with the loss of my husband Genuine compassion and kindness are superb traits especially in a business it’s not seen often in this world today I wish I knew everyone’s name, but special recognition to the young lady with the beautiful smile and dimple— She was very kind and accommodating I highly recommend staying here

I was not aware that this Hotel was in the location its in I was pleasantly surprised My family (20) of us including children are staying there fir Easter because my brother is Military and they are doing a yellow ribbon celebration in Sparks

Anyway Carol has been a delight to work with; she is A very nice lady She has made it possible for us to have the accommodations we have So thank you Carol I’m sure the staff is just as polite So I will update after our stay

Amanda Perry

I have been in many hotels with that said, The room itself was mostly cleaned On their white top blanket I noticed some staines looked like grease stains 90% of the hotel is carpet flooring

The floors had a lot of stains and you can tell it hasn’t been carpet cleaned in a while Only has one elevator that I saw which made it a bit difficult for everyone to check out or just go from your room to the first level, we ended up just taking the stairs The breakfast wasn’t great at all!! The sausage patties I got were cold and the potatoes were cold as well the eggs were just okay not a really good breakfast I would recommend eating someplace else for breakfast I have 3 kids and then my husband was with us the dining area to eat was not family friendly at all for more than one family to eat there The tables they have are small round tables Now the pool was actually decent and not freezing like most and the spa was great as well it wasn’t super hot like most Overall it’s an okay place but me personally I wouldn’t come back

I was just here for the day to get my fingerprints done for my RN license Decided to stay here because of the proximity to the river walk and also a festival was just right out the door Napped through the festival, however

Woke up at 9pm but was able to find something to eat at one of their restaurants that stays open late The resort has a tiny gym enough to get your heart pumping until you get back to your gym The pool opens at 9am Valet parking was really fast and only $10 for the entire stay There were tons of Birds parked across the street from the valet entrance It was quite fun zipping around on them electric scooters Easy pairing with the app I was comfortable in my room but the room didn’t look like the picture from when I booked my reservation 😂 but my sheets where soft and my bed firm as I need it to be My room was clean and water pressure was great Reno is so tiny Seemed like a ghost town but I guess there’s nothing wrong with fewer people

I have Gamble and watch others gamble before with the machines My best advice is to gamble what you are fine to Lose I have seen people staring while frantically hitting the repeat button and usually throwing there money away

As that said, I take my time and have someone with me while gambling, for the social and little funWhat I do know for the spin muti-line machines is where you start at least 30 lines to bet on or higher The reason is mathematically is have a little better odds, but regardless the odds always favor the houseAlso, let’s say you feel comfortable betting ONE hundred dollars, the machine will go up and down Let say your ONE went to about THREE hundred, I will set a limit where it drops to TWO hundred I will STOP and cash it out, and will NOT go any other machineAlso, let’s say you loose that ONE hundred You can leave or try one more time with another machine for another ONE hundred If you do, and lost that other ONE hundred, then LEAVE! Most will be okay to lose TWO hundred bills for a night and don’t come back for at least for a whileFor all the wins and loses at the Casino will will always be in the hole It is for socializing, and the thrill, not trying to get rich

Joseph Vincent

I love the El Dorado I’ve only been there about a half dozen times, but the overall experience has been fabulous Great food choices, room service, concierge services, whatever

The casino is old school, but has modern gaming I dig the atmosphere The dealers and pit bosses combined to make my gambling experience very memorable, but mostly its fun And if you get sick of it, walk across the street to Silver Legacy

I made a last minute walk in reservation because I wasn’t happy with the hotel I had originally booked This receptionist helped me with find a convenient location so I could take my dogs out They are in a great location and have a nice dog area i that felt comfortable taking my dogs to at night

The room was so nice, clean, and comfortable I loved the linens, and the full sized fridge This will definitely be my hotel of choice the next time I visit Reno Thank you!

Devin Klee

Kitchen in the room is great Comfortable enough Walls are thin and there was a lot of noise

Some weird smells in the hallways as well Good price and a pretty good place to stay for long term if you are willing to put up Wifi is pretty slow and there is a limit on devices you can connect? Never seen that before Too cheap to provide any utensils or dishes so you need your own in order to use the kitchen I will not be staying here again for one reason They do not do refunds or changes in any capacity Need to check out a day early even after staying a full month? You will not get a refund or any help from the staff Ridiculous to me that a hotel is unwilling to allow changes, especially considering the kind of demographic that this hotel caters to Lots of field workers with unpredictable schedules To top it off I didn’t get choice points for this stay and when I tried to add them later they told me “this hotel does not currently qualify for points” Will not stay here again

Which has lots of good choices for everyone The front desk people are extremely friendly and helpful They were able to check me in early and let me stay past the check out time It was extremely helpful due to my early flight in a d a late flight out They also provide shuttle service to and from the airport If you have a car then there a lot of places to eat within a 3-mile radius And if you don’t have a car then the hotel provide shuttle service to any restaurant within a three-mile radius I would highly recommend this hotel!!!

Booked the hotel room in advanced through a pet hotel vendor Somehow the hotel staff did not accompany me a pet room in advance Now I have to wait longer in the lobby

NOT PET FRIENDLY They don’t seem to care here I had better experiences at competitor hotel chains Never coming here again and NEVER going with a best western again

We stayed in one of their king suites on the 9th floor, and it was very nice Plenty of room to relax in the living room area (two comfy armchairs plus a couch, a work desk, a coffee table), spacious bedroom and bathroom A TV in each room, and a door separating the bedroom from the living area

Very nice The couch was a sofabed, too, I believe, so it would work well for a small familyThe included hot breakfast each morning was a great way to start the day Toast, pancakes, cereal, yogurt, fresh fruit, mini omelettes, and sausage Coffee, milk, juice The internet was sufficient for typical use for work or pleasure (watching videos, etc) We didn’t use the pool and hot tub, but it was nice knowing it was there The fitness room looked great, although we got our exercise out hiking in the Nevada hillsThe location of the hotel was nice if you want to be a little away from the hubbub of the main city Nice and quiet, near the railyard, with easy access to freeways and such Still plenty of restaurants nearby (although not really in walking distance) They did offer a shuttle ride to anywhere in a 3-mile radius, so that’s a nice feature, tooThe mini fridge in our room didn’t have a freezer section, so don’t expect to be able to freeze a gel pack to keep your picnic food cold But we bought ice (or could have used ice from the hotel ice machine) so not a big problem
