Melanie Perry

Stayed at this hotel on a return trip to Indiana to visit friends and family in the area I was totally pleased at the beginning with a wonderful welcome experience from Sally (?), including recognition of my Bonvoy status, welcome bag, and follow-up phone call But things got a bit fuzzier thereafter

I climbed into bed and realized the mattress was far less plush than most other hotels these days I also realized at that point that my remote would only allow me to watch one channel, and the menu feature on the TV itself would not allow me to change channels either The next morning when I was going to report it to the front desk, I had to stand at the desk and say, “hello?!” several times before a very young man came out looking rather flustered ( no idea why) I reported my problem nonetheless and went on with my day When I returned later that night, I found no evidence that anyone had tried to fix the problem and I had another night of watching whatever was offered on that single channel When I got up early the next morning to go work out, I found there are only two cardio machines in the fitness center and both were taken I had to resort to awkward hotel room calisthenics to get in some kind of exercise Disappointing How about adding another machine or two?Otherwise the hotel was clean and fine otherwise

If I could give this hotel zero stars I most certainly would We booked this hotel for my family for the Thanksgiving weekend/my mom’s birthday After checking in on Wednesday, we laid down around 1am (Thursday morning) and were frighteningly awaken when my aunt awoke in a panic

She was being bitten by bed bugs! The front desk staff offered to switch us rooms, which we politely declined and then informed us they were voiding the stay The manager on duty told us we would have our money back in the account by Friday morning This was perfect seeing as though we needed to book at a different hotel Apparently, this was incorrect information and we’ve received multiple different answers from various individuals throughout the hotel staff and Marriott headquarters With one final attempt and the last account we received from Marriott, we had the manager on duty who goes by the name of “Grace” on three way with the bank She became flustered, got rude, loud, and hung up on us Overall, left a horrible taste in my family’s mouth And while this doesn’t cancel everything we’re thankful for, it did put a damper on the holiday weekend

The price was reasonable compared to downtown hotel prices The pool was fun for kids and the breakfast was what you’d expect at hotels The room was decently clean

The mini fridge was not cold at all The TV was slow to change the channel, and TV guide was glitching making it difficult to see what was on (but it’s basic cable so you’re better off using their wifi and watch your own stuff) You’re right beside the highway so you will hear noise

Richard Hazel

Really close to an interstate noise Rooms need a lot of simple maintenance that becomes annoying Cabinets not aligned, fridge doesn’t close without being forced, shower head almost fell off on me, door lock missing screw and the other was half way out

Stayed 10 days and we had to ask for fresh sheets and trash bagsBreakfast is okay for a hotel, but nothing to get excited about Check in staff is polite and friendly though Plus the pool and hot tub are a bonus

Great hotel Kept the nostalgic feel to the building and lobby, but the rooms are very modern and spacious Super clean

Loved the wide hallways and common areas to hang out with other folks you’re traveling with (thoughbwe weren’t) Free pool table got some use, and the bar downstairs was a great atmosphere and reasonable pricesAcross the street from “The Garage” and “Pins” which were great food, beer and entertainment Popular hang out spot for the 20’s-30’s crowd

This gem of a hotel is a must-stay when in Indianapolis! I stayed here last week on a very quick business trip and fell in love with it- the professional and personalized service, cleanliness, the size and the room decor all combined made for a perfect home-away-from homeI loved the way they turned this historic building into an amazing Art Deco space The attention to detail from the red lacquer doors to the rock n roll artwork to the marble bathrooms…and gold pens all set the tone for a comfortable and chic hotel stay

The old school photo booth was so nostalgic and such an added bonusI couldn’t wait to tell all my friends and family about it I am already planning my next trip to Indy!

Grant Brown

By far the premier hotel choice in the Circle City!Phenomenal in every way The absolute epitome of modern luxuryBeautiful historic renovation of the Coca Cola bottling plant and located in one of my favorite parts of the city – Mass Ave

Ground floor and lobby have a very historic and elegant feel Dark wood and original tiling are contrasted with the dark and modern guest room floors with wide hallways, creative and functional lounge spaces and eye catching bright red doors Modern, elegant and just downright sexyGuest rooms were breathtaking Every detail carefully thought out and crafted If you have the ability to splurge for a room with a terrace – DO IT You will not regret it I stayed here for three nights and was so sad to leaveAs far as comparison, this hotel would compete with properties like: Conrad, JW, Le Meridian, Iron Works or Hotel Carmichael I’ve stayed in 3 of those and this would beat them by a long run any day of the weekElegant & modern luxury without the stuffy, sterile, up-tight vibeI couldn’t recommend it more…if you were on the fence, your decision just got easier! Do it!

Our room was clean and well stocked That’s about the only positive about our stay this past weekend On the 3rd floor with 4 kids and both elevators were broken

Breakfast was a joke Sunday morning No coffee, no cups, forks or spoons Had to ask the lady standing around “supervising” for everything that was out The hot food was pretty scarce, and we were there around 7:30/8 so not towards the ending time of 10 The lights were turned off too We’ve stayed multiple times in the past and have had great stays If this was our first stay I doubt we’d be back

Promo Team

The check-in process was fine and the service was great as we entered a clean and wellmaintained room We were only there for the night and realized the amenities offered weren’t actually available The gas grills did not work and they were very dirty as if they’d been out of service for quite some time

I asked the staff if maintenance was available and we were told at one point there was no answer, and then a Kyle that was spoken to the morning after I was told the on call maintenance was out of town and could not help Also while my kids were playing in the pool a light inside the pool became unattached Myself and another guest escalated to staff and again there was no one available to help We were concerned about what kind of electrical exposure there could be available but again maintenance not available So no pool and no grills while also having no escalation available for on site staff I left a message with GM and took pictures and will he contacting corporate Needless to say there was no explanation as to how these issues will be mitigated in the future Please ask questions at check in or you’ll be surprised

Greg Neumayer

Loved our stay! Clean and modern common areas, wonderful staff (late night attendant Jess was so helpful to us), and family friendly from check-in to courtesy extended check-out! The pool is getting some work done but we still enjoyed the opportunity to get some energy out Probably of highest note is simply the suite’s kitchen amenities and spaciousness that made doing a delivered pizza such a breeze for our family of 6 Highly recommend, will plan to stay again when passing through/around Indy!

My wife and I had a fantastic getaway to Indy for a long weekend The hotel is ideally located near great dining options and lots of fun activities The staff was very friendly and helpful

There is a nice common area next to the lobby with a bar It was perfect for socializing with friends before heading up to the room for the night The rooms are clean, nice, and have a mirror positioned right next to the bed that can be lots of fun if you are staying with your special someone

Victoria Wilkinson

Unless someone else is paying for your room, you require epic views from a high-rise, or you absolutely can’t leave the building where your event is being held, save your money and sleep somewhere elseThere’s nothing special about this hotel beyond the location and the excellent room views Oh, and the post-shower robe they provide is pretty fluffy, if that’s important to you

The gym is spacious, with good views and free water and towels But there’s no pool or hot tub Apparently there hasn’t been one since it went under renovations before the pandemic, but the elevator sign still lists it as being on floor two The breakfast option at the Italian restaurant is a $28/plate buffet The valet is $55 overnight It may be obvious from the name, but this is not a place to go for value

I’ve been coming here for a very long time If you stay for a few days you will love it I’m sure!We stayed in one of the blue train cars Yesthey have some rooms inside train cars! It’s very cool and I definitely recommend it for the experience The room is long and narrow, but spacious The steps to get up into the car are a bit steep, but there are rails to help The room has a mini fridge and a Keurig The hotel has neat architecture with the steel beams and stuff from its old depot days We would stay here again, for sure

Reed Fabek

Great location and very unique ambiance The building was previously a train station, has lots of exposed ironwork, a central atrium with a glass ceiling, and train cars which have been converted to guest suites It’s immediately adjacent to the convention center and stadium

There’s an indoor connection to both to keep you out of the weather The rooms are relatively spacious, but definitely comfortable

Patricia Wilson

I thought the hotel was an extremely cool experience It was one of the more unique hotels I’ve ever stayed in The rooms were clean

It was in a good location I thought the check-in and check out went fine There was parking directly across the street There was a refrigerator in the room and a Keurig which I appreciate Beds and pillows were comfortable I have no complaints at all

Stayed here while in town for a basketball tournament Hotel is very clean, and the staff is amazing Went above and beyond

The staff was very accommodating, friendly and professional Many teams were staying at the hotel and the washers & dryers were in high demand One night, the front office clerk, I think her name was Whitney, came and offered to do a load in the hotel washer! So that a mom wouldn’t have to sit there waiting! Never in my life have I received such amazing service like this at a hotel Breakfast was not included here, but you can buy breakfast from the little cafe in the lobby The “eggs your way” breakfast was delicious and served piping hot each time I ordered it The hotel even accommodated our late check out request since our flight wasn’t leaving until the evening This is an incredibly well managed hotel with staff who seem to enjoy their jobs and provide great service If I ever come to Indianapolis again, I am definitely staying here Also great location close to restaurants, stores, and the D1 Factory etc

Jeff Blouse

This Courtyard is typical of the chain The location is nothing to rave about The place was clean and well kept

The standout was dinner service I know if you stay at a lot of Courtyards the Bistro is not to die for We went out to find a restaurant and the few that were open were jammed or not accepting anymore on the wait list Back to the Courtyard and the food service was closed We told the staff what happened and they made us very tasty burgers and fries

SSD

Horrible customer Service!!This place is clean but customer service is not at its bestMiscommunication by two host, I was charged 2X for the hotel stay when I only stayed 4hrsThe young white host who worked 3/13 around 11am was rude and unapologetic for the inconvenience

And worse, he lied about me not being charged for this inconvenience just to get rid of meHe was PASSIVE AGGRESSIVEand displayed a lack of concernI was going to book a party here but I think I will pass on that Its not worth my time and money if they can’t even do their job properlyBoth the young black gentleman on the night shift and the white young gentlemen on the day shift need to be trained properlyThe worse service EVER!!!

I only did three stars on the rooms they are a little dated But the staff here is above and beyond expectations I had one little issue with the TV , the outstanding maintenance person( only because I don’t want to offend people that cannot call him a man but he was truly a great man )brought me a bigger TV and that’s the only issue I had

The front desk very friendly and accommodating the free breakfast was better than most that I’ve had and all my stays at other properties I give the Staffing here an A + and very friendly folks Thank you to all of you

Christina Tross

Very comfortable, clean and in a safe area We stayed here for a basketball tournament

we had the studio suite Beds were comfortable and the room was clean Tiffany, Michaela and Kaylee were amazing The day MANAGER as well helped me out tremendously Pool is small but clean Breakfast was a plus and pretty good Laundry room worked I have zero complaints

Lisa Jordre

The good points are: bed very comfortable, bathroom and kitchen clean, staff friendly, and money refunded Bad points are: security door never locked, shower water was very very luke warm, window curtains do not completely cover window, carpet felt wet, room smelled musty and needs a humidifier, room very dated and needs paint and new trim plus a new bathroom door, air conditioner appeared new but the new outlet is not covered

which is a hazard Hotel Brand same as our stay in Columbus, Ohio but world’s different experience

The bathroom is roomy and has plenty of soap There is no breakfast bar in the morning but they do have a snack cupboard where you can buy small items

Friendly stuff Room was clean except a few spots on the walls (could use a hand of paint) and a weird smell in the freezer The room is very spacious, clean and very comfy beds! The full size fridge, microwave and dishwasher are a nice touch

All in all, better than an hotel! Here for GenCon, we’ll be back for sure!

Only 1 working elevator Pool closed for unknown reasons Leaky sinks

Only one trash can (should at least be a second one in bathroom) Hallways are hot and first floor hallway has several leaks Roads coming in are kinda bad as wellMight not deserve 1 star, but compared to what I was expecting I was very disappointedEdit: Found extra trash cans They were under the sink for some reason??? I have to say Abigail made my morning especially after having an extended stay due to water damages at my house and a lengthy stay I was not expecting I had checked out due to my home owners insurance and then was told to check back in, however I was placed back in the same room I had checked out of and it was dirty When I returned the next morning after working all night Abigail was at the front desk and I asked about my dirty room with no linens

She very sweetly put me in a clean room so I could go straight to bed and get a good days rest This very tired nurse greatly appreciated her going above and beyond to make sure I could sleep quickly and soundly Thanks so much!!!!!

My friends are having to stay in a hotel for 90 days while work is being done on their home This is stressful enough without the staff of the hotel shaming them1

About a week into their stay- the hotel desk staff told my friend (a mother of 4!) that they were closing the pool for the evening Closing the pool for the evening meant- closing the pool for a hotel party for themselves and their friends Loud, unruly and drinking The pool was left a mess2 They continue to skip housekeeping for the rooms This morning- my friend cleaned both herself3 Today while my friend was working I went to hang with her kids by the pool One of the tiny wonderful humans used the bathroom and had a bit of a mishap that he tried to clean up himself, I’m assuming out of dignities sake and not wanting to let me know The front desk clerk, who spent more time on his phone than actually working, shamed the tiny human and informed me that the kids were no longer allowed to use the restrooms Sir- your follow up of informing me that my friends were not paying to stay there but rather the insurance company was paying for the stay is not only NONE of your business- but who do you think PAYS the insurance companyShame on you Marriot An already stressful situation is being made worse by your staff Your rudeness today made me cry and I’m not even the guest I would assume my dear friend has also cried because of you and your lack of empathy, professionalism, and inconsiderate ways you treat your guests

Scott Welling

I needed a suite – 2 bedrooms – and this was the only hotel I could find near downtown Indianapolis with 2br at a reasonable rate We had a full kitchen and 2 bathrooms Monyea at the front desk was extremely professional, helpful and was a wealth of knowledge of area activities

The location isn’t ideal, but less than 10 min to downtown / Lucas Oil Stadium There’s free breakfast, an indoor pool, hot tub and basketball court on site

VERY close to Riley Children’s Hospital! Our room was very clean No visible stains or bed bugs Our room had a 2 burner stove, small refrigerator and microwave and dishwasher! Also had about a 42 inch flat tv

Almost as good as a 2nd home!-catch, many people coming and going this hotel some students live in The students are very friendly That will be the issue for some Why? Lots and I mean a lot of weed oder Hallways and elevators pretty much Rooms themselves did not smell of weed Maybe, kinda, sorta, mild frat house just not unruly or chaotic But people there are friendly and helpful

Sandy Wantuch

This was the 3rd time I stayed here due to husband’s surgery at IU Health Hospital I had a smaller room which was better for me , not needing all that space Ice cube maker in freezer, refrigerator, microwave, 2 TVs, hot shower and comfortable bed, plenty of pillows, reliable wake up call

Best thing is the shuttle so I didn’t have to pay to park in hospital garage or walk to my car in the dark after hours

This historical hotel is beautiful and unique The lobby, halls and our room was clean and smelled wonderful That may seem like an odd thing to rave about, but how many times have you stay in a hotel that smells musty or “old” or just dingy? For an old hotel, I assumed it would have that all light funk smells, but I was happily surprised! The location was perfect for downtown

I will agree that the room was small, but I did like the larger bathroom with walk in shower We only stayed one night so we didn’t need much floor space Downtown Indy was very loud and noisy the Saturday night we stayed and there were times we could hear loud music from motorcycles and cars from the street on the 8th floor, but not the usual car and people traffic noise Overall, this hotel did not disappoint

Vera D.

We stayed here for GenCon and really loved the service (they let us check in early after a red eye), breakfast on site (great value for the meal), and location I loved the premium toiletries and it was cozy enough that we were able to use the elevator without much of a wait It was also next door to St Elmo’s and within walking distance of everything we needed

Would stay here again!!

traveling cross country and got to the hotel late When we got to room the toilet was stained, carpet not vacuumed and bathroom fan not working Staying only one night so dealt with it

In the morning no blow dryer available When got one, only blew old air The final straw was that there was no breakfast which was the reason we picked the hotel Then called customer service to express my disappointment and the person on the line was dismissive and not helpful in the least Offered points towards my account, but could not guarantee I would get them When I said I wanted to register my complaint with the hotel, she said I could only register my concern with Marriott or the hotel

The hotel says it’s downtown but it’s further towards the outskirts Overall it’s not bad You can definitely see where they’ve done renovation and didn’t do the best work on some things but not horrible

Whoever does the cleaning for sure makes sure everything is covered The smell is thick when they clean in certain areas but better clean than not No complaints The bed was very comfortable so that’s another positive

Our room was nice, it smiled nice and freshThe breakfast was nothing special Had options to microwave frozen sandwiches and burritos, typical waffles and muffins and juice or coffee

A very big and open lobby The indoor pool was cute and small, no one in there except usSuper close to Downtown with plenty of restaurants to eat atComfortable beds and a nice bathroomI’d definitely stay here again but the only down side is the location The surrounding area looked a little rundown but the hotel entrance is facing away from the street so you feel safe

We stayed here during an Archery tournament and it as a pleasant experience The hotel was full but you couldn’t tell All the staff was friendly

The breakfast was fully stocked and replenished in a timely manner Yes the hotel is a little dated The rooms could use a little TLC fixing paint chips, grouting and such Still a great experience and we will return

The hotel is set up different than most It is a huge, open air style hotel with all rooms facing the courtyard Courtyard is very nice, breakfast and drinks later were great

Staff was very nice The hotel rooms were nice but definitely needed some deep cleaning All of the carpet in the hotel looked dirty and was sticky The ventilation system must all be linked because you could smell marijuana in and around the rooms I’ve stayed in many Embassy suites and this is my least favorite due to the cleanliness and slightly outdated rooms Altogether, the experience was just ok

Hotel is mediocre at best Left for a few hours to grab dinner and came back and our room was HOTT, even though we turned on the AC Called the front desk and they had to have someone turn on the ac? What is up with that? It’s summer why isn’t it just on! Go to get ice and we have no bag for our bucket no biggie, go down and grab some from the desk

Then I proceed to get ice from the machine doesn’t work! Call the desk again and the ice machines don’t work on 3 of 9 floors Thanks for the heads up! 🙄 One of our lights was a strobe light but didn’t want to call and complain again The hotel is terribly understaffed and it was obvious-trash cans overflowing, dishes scattered outside in the halls, dusty rooms and needs a good coat of paint in the rooms The breakfast was great, loved the omelet station & the staff working breakfast were very kind Also loved the managers reception, the bartender was nice and efficient

I was nervous about staying here last weekend because of the different reviews This hotel was one of the best stays I have had in a while We stayed for Gencon Indy for 3 days, and will stay again

Very clean room and hotel in general, the staff was so helpful and kind in our questions We were checked in immediately and check out was a breeze The room itself was clean and tidy, and the guests were quiet I heard the staff talk about on weekends they have security to ensure that the guests stay quiet and follow rules I appreciate that!!! The only qualm would be that the show took about 3 min or so to warm up completely, but that is hardly an issue for me Overall 10/10!

Hallway smelled like weed Room had a musty, unpleasant smell that never went away Air conditioning unit had a sign instructing me to use the thermostat on the wall

Thermostat on the wall was dead Jumped in the shower to discover the body wash dispenser was empty Non-adjustable shower head had overbearing water pressure Tub drained slow while taking shower All-in-all…would never stay here again

BUYER BEWARE! Hotel looks nice on the outside but the inside tells another story Upon entry the smell wasn’t inviting, smell of stale/smoke air on the lobby

The hotel itself is in need a deep clean and remodel Carpets are dirty, furniture is really worn Customer service wasn’t there, upon arrival it seems as if we were disturbing the front desk She stayed on her cell phone the whole time during the Check-In Hallways smell of stale feet, smoke, and just unclean in general The rooms aren’t inviting IF YOU HAVE ANY ALLERGIES DO NOT STAY HERE! My wife sneezed most of the weekend Odd location for a hotel, nothing is in walking distance You will have to depend on ride shares and food delivery Wouldn’t recommend nor would I stay here again Laundry is free , full size fridge, cook top, and microwaveonly thing that was worth mentioning

The staff at here were AMAZING!! The staff was so accommodating and made sure we had everything we needed The hotel was super clean, the breakfast and evening reception was in point, and our kids loved the pool/jacuzzi The fitness center was also great and having laundry was as awesome! The hotel is located towards the end of downtown but it’s a hidden gem! Thank you Stay ridge and staff for everything you assisted with for me and my family! Book here, don’t hesitate!

We loved ALMOST everything about this hotel The 2 bedroom suite was perfect for my husband and I to take my tween granddaughter The kitchen had everything we needed

The staff were wonderful The breakfast was surprisingly good with lots of choicesThe only thing I didn’t like was the shower The floor of both bathroom showers were messed up and rusty I would not use the showers and that’s the reason for only 4 stars for the room

Vicki Jacob

We had a wonderful time at the Staybridge Suites We took our grandkids there so they could swim and get in the hot tub It was enjoyed by all

Came with a full size refrigerator, dishwasher and cook top It was within walking distance of Lucas Oil Stadium Thank you so much to Chelsea and Greg and the rest of the great staff Will definitely come back

Very nice hotel, in walking distance of some great places at the heart of downtown Indianapolis Beautiful room, comfortable and cheap, while also very clean My only complaint is that the parking price was separate from the room cost which I didn’t see beforehand, and it is $30 a day which is very high- good luck finding street parking for your stay if you don’t want to pay this

Still, every other aspect was fantastic

Natasha Malone

This was actually an exceptional hotel Rooms clean Area nice and safe

Lots of stuff in walking distance Our check in lady got us a bottle of soap from the sister hotel across the street so we could wash my baby bottles Gevin or Kevin not sure about the name but he was beyond helpful with dining options and feedback on food options His personality was great The city overall is nice I would go backlast thing I wonder if the hotel had a face towel shortage that’s my only complaint

john mahlstedt

I never write reviews and definitely never about hotel bars However I felt compelled to write this one The hotel itself is fine but I am writing to compliment the fantastic service and great personality of their bartender

Her name is Christina and she is awesome Its a tiny little place but if you are looking for great conversation with a great gal Make sure you stop and say hi you won’t regret it Its not often I would go out of my way to stop at a bar just because of the bartender But this will be one of the exceptions I’m in indy pretty much twice a month and ill be making a special trip to stop and see Christina when I’m in town You should as well I believe starting next week shes only there two nights a week Sunday and Monday I believe But if your in town and looking for a drink and enjoyable conversation stop in and say hi tell her John sent you
