We love Marriott properties This hotel is super nice and excellent in terms of cleanliness, comfort and service! It is new, beautiful, clean, and comfy The staff was excellent

especially the manager Everyone was extremely professional and went above and beyond The breakfast was very plentiful with lots of choices and an efficient worker constantly refilling all of the stations with fresh hot options, even five minutes before closing time because of people arriving late Highly recommend!

Sarah Aylward

I booked my stay last minute on a road trip and was pleasantly surprised The concierge as kind enough to move me to a second room when I realized the first had an adjoining door, which I didn’t love He also dropped off fresh supplies to the new room, suggested a local restaurant I could order delivery from given that I was very tired

He truly went above and beyond, I would, however, recommend Marriott start staffing more than one concierge at the front desk as I could tell he was managing a lot and it felt safer for everyone The rooms are really well done — designed for both form and function — and there was a generous closet and really nice bathroom The bathroom has a modern sliding barn door, in case that matters to anyone, but for me, it was perfect I’ll be booking again soon!

The property is new; opening in 2020 Very clean rooms and common areas We stayed for three days and were impressed with how attentive the staff was during the morning breakfast

They were very friendly and had a notable pride in the work they did to keep the area clean, attractive, and ready for the next guests Great job Springhill Suites Springfield!

Do not recommend This place may have been nice at one point, but hasn’t been updated since Wallpaper peeling in the room

Toilet hardly flushed Had to wait for hot water one morning Elevators are sketch and slow Ice makers broke and honestly super gross looking Multiple other families we were with had to get moved to another room It was not good at all We did get hooked up with conference room for our hockey team and the kids were able to run around which was nice Only reason I gave 2 stars

Erika Mennerick, DC, Cert. MDT

This hotel is falling apart The front desk staff was pleasant and doing their best to accommodate, but behind the scenes there seems to be a lot of issues- heating/air were problematic both in the conference rooms as well as the guest room In the guest rooms there were stains on the carpet, peeling and water damaged walls, room phone didn’t work to call the front desk

The bed was clean and comfortable and the bathroom was clean and operational It’s okay for a night or two as a place to sleep, but I wouldn’t want to spend any extra time hereThis place needs a major overhaul

Belinda Thompson

We were here for an Elks meeting So this wasn’t our first time there But this was the first time the elevators didn’t break!!!! The beds are nice and the heating with it being -12 outside kept the room nice and warm

The hot water in our room on the 9th floor could have been better Last 2 years we’ve been told they were going to be remodeling But we didn’t see anything different or anything new I had a hamburger in the bar that was really good It tasted like it was cooked outside on a grill The white sauce they had over the fries had no taste The people that worked there were all nice and helpful as always

I honestly don’t even know where to begin as I write this review I don’t want to endlessly bash the place I will start with the positives: the breakfast wasn’t terrible and it was quiet

The staff were friendly and helpfulNow on to the bad The rooms were dirty The remotes and lights didn’t all work There was construction so you had to go outside in the cold to get to the poolProperty, especially the rooms are in need of renovations I wouldn’t stay again until it was renovated

Tina Underwood

The young man who checked us in, Aaron, was very polite and efficient He didn’t get frazzled when there was a small line of people waiting to be checked in He acknowledged the line, greeting everyone and letting them know he would be with them shortly

The check-in process was seamless The room was clean The beds were comfortable The kickback was nice Breakfast was great The guy working the desk for checkout needed to be present at check out time instead of in the office chatting

NANCY GEBEL

My first time at a Drury Inn I belong to Hilton and Marriott but Drury beats both!! My accessable suite was everything I could hope for The hotel offers dinner till 7p

Popcorn after that a great free breakfast and the rates are exceptionally reasonable! Staff is happy, helpful and accommodating! I will definitely be staying at Drury Inn going forward!!!

NOYB BYON

We checked in today The overhang was to the office check in point which no one was at the desk and we had to YELL to get her attention around the corner? We just finished staying at Drury in Chesterfield Missouri for 7 days and it prompted us to book this one, it was so fantastic! Well they need to teach this one cleanliness, promptness, and courtesy to their customers It was raining and we had a lot of luggage and were directed to a door that had NO overhang to take out our luggage and try to fit it in the door ourselves which was very tight

This isn’t the worst of it either We got to the room and it smelled so bad we had to ask for a second room That room smelled just as bad as the first one and proceeded to check out It is NOT the Chesterfield Drury’s This one needs a training session on how to clean their hotel rooms and employee training to treat their customers better Let alone making them unload their luggage without an overhang car port in the rain Maybe shutting it down would be better

Outside gives you hopes it would be nice Not even 30 minutes after checking in and getting to my room we found bed bugs I felt kinda appalled that the housekeeping manager had to come up and confirm

I would never recommend it Room was a little dirty before even finding bedbug! Thankfully I was able to get my money back and find somewhere else to stay last minute When cleaning rooms maybe you should take some more time and detail instead of rushing

I sincerely appreciated the warm welcome shown here The staff were very hospitable, and the room was extremely cozy and comfortable I really appreciated the soft cushy pillows as most hotels have very hard ones

The sheets were very soft and comfortable, and made for a very restful night The breakfast had some very delicious choices, and I greatly appreciated the western omelets in particular Thank you for an amazing experience and pleasant restI hope to come back someday!

Emily Hagstrom

It may be outdated, but by it is by far the cleanest hotel I’ve stayed at in a long time The staff was phenomenal, and always smiling and ready to help in any way! The pool was awesome, and they even had life jackets available for little ones The breakfast was great, with way more options than any other hotel I’ve stayed at in the last 2 years

The breakfast stayed open until 10, and when my little one wanted a little more food they let him in even though it was a few minutes after 10 It just really felt like they cared about how every customers stay was Corporate should definitely choose this spot to get updated, because it’s the best hotel around!!

Maureen VanBrooker

We stayed two nights We called ahead before booking our stay, to see if the indoor pool was up and running, which it was That was our main reason for our weekend getaway, to go swimming

Our King Suite, was very clean Everything was in great condition We had the pool all to ourselves and the hot breakfast was super fresh both days of our stay Comfy bed, the air conditioner/heater was set on the perfect temp We watched the Super Bowl on a good sized tv It was a very cozy atmosphere Employees were friendly Good location Accessible entrance and elevator

My husband stayed here three weeks as we transitioned to our move to Springfield and it was an excellent experience The coordinator I worked with was extremely friendly and helpful in organizing everything My husband had a comfortable and easy stay during his three weeks

I came in with our dog for three days as we waited for our rental to open, and we had such an easy time with bringing our dog The staff was so nice and there was a dedicated pet area for us to walk him The breakfast options each day were fresh and varied, the suite room was spacious and comfortable, and my husband was able to get laundry service during his three weeks We had some stress trying to find housing and making the transition to Springfield, but the Residence Inn made it much easier It was a wonderful spot for my husband to camp out for a few weeks while we waited for our rental and the three of us enjoyed our stay very much Thank you so much for helping our move be less stressful

We were given an accessible room on the first floor and it had a musty odor Overall, the room was clean but I didn’t sleep well because of the odor The pool is very small

The front desk clerks were very friendly and helpful Breakfast was carb-heavy with waffles, English muffins and toast There was at least yogurt and fresh fruit, but no eggs or any other protein I think this hotel is fine if you literally need somewhere to just sleep and shower I would be willing to pay more for better accommodations and amenities

Asher Farlow

It is very affordable and if you’re on the road, this is a perfect spot to rest atNow, that being said, there were good and badThe Good: The staff were extremely blunt and honest and were great at correcting technical mistakes related to customer service and online booking website related matters

They were very honest and timely about what they do, and are willing to assistThe place is clean, remarkably so, and the decor is not that badI’d highly recommend this place as a pet stop, seriously Compared to the others on hotel row in Springfield this was THE most affordable for what you getIt is a safe environment and you don’t have to worry about crazies or some nonsense happeningThe location is excellent, and the parking area is well kept and very easy to navigateThe beds and pillows were unbelievably comfortable and well keptThe Bad: The air was dry, causing my girlfriend to have some throat scratching when she woke up the next morning I also had that along with a dry nose So a humidifier, or something could really help thatThe hallways were super loud Although the rooms themselves are very quiet, every time somebody left their room, talked, walked, anything, it was like they were right next to the doorThe elevators are good, but their response time was a tad offThe Coffee machines and the breakfast area need to be refilled and restocked more often Twice the machines were empty of juice and coffee, and twice it was near bare bones with regards to food down there If that could happen scratch that problem off because it’s freeand for what they offer its excellent Just refill and restock more oftenAll in all, I recommend Microtel in Springfield Illinois

Cheetara Walton

This was the first time myself and my family had stayed in this location My parents also stayed the same weekend but in a different room Both rooms had an odor, but neither of us took any thought initially

A few blood spots, or so appeared to be on the comforter in our room Parents stayed in another room the same nights as we were booked and experienced a flooded toilet early the next morning The water had completely flooded the bathroom and runout into the room which could explain the odor previously mentioned (maybe this has happened before) They were assigned a new room We all left for a service We came back to our room My son used the bathroom and this toilet flooded our bathroom and run out into the room I should also mention my parents were initially placed on the first floor and we were on the third The flooding was brought to the manager’s attention and she basically stated the GM, Jay Patel, would not be issuing any refunds because it was too late in the day Normal check-in is 3pm and we left at 4:30pm I personally would never try my luck here again Service was subpar and I’ve definitely stayed at better and not had to deal with or be aware of plumbing issues this great Good luck on your stay!

The hotel wasn’t bad Was a little concerned because my friend had called in advance to get two rooms next to each other since her dad was coming with us but the person who helped us didn’t understand what we were saying and instead gave us one room on one floor and the other room on a different floor Hotel bathroom also had half of the toilet paper roll gone and almost empty

Overall not a bad place, but I feel like customer service and communication about rooms could have been better

Heidi Christlieb

Seemed like a nice enough place at a reasonable rate until they falsely accused me (non-smoker btw) of smoking in the room and tried to hit me with a $200 cleaning charge Thankfully, I was able to talk to Radisson and my credit card to get the charge removed The hotel manager was no help at all

Just be aware because I learned the hard way

Gary Shepard

For several years this has been our go to place in Springfield However this time we were disappointed on several fronts Rates were much higher, they wouldn’t honor their room rate we found online, they told us we had to book online to get the rate

Once in the room we found that the showerhead wasn’t good and the shower curtain was hanging by a thread Front desk person said they would put in a repair order but said there was no idea when they would be fixed

We stayed 07/05/2022 whoever worked the front desk that night at 8:30p was AMAZING he was such a nice guy very accommodating Smiling everytime we talked Our room smelt great, room was clean minus one gummy bear on the floor (no biggie) The gentleman that was serving breakfast were super nice and accommodating as well

We will definitely be back

Warning: TONS OF BED BUGS!Overall, the hotel staff that I encountered were nice I left around 1 am because I woke up covered in bed bugs though They had all stages of them

I had to find a 24 hr laundromat to put all of my stuff in before finding a new booking elsewhere (because I refuse to be in inconsiderate enough to bring pests to someone else)They front desk lady couldn’t offer me a refund without her manager present, which is understandable After having hotelscom speak on my behalf after my departure, I was not granted my refundRooms are updated and space is overall pretty There is signage of having vending machines in the elevators, but these are not present I had to drive down the road to buy a bottle of water

Reinel Perez

The room was not done, the linen was dirty We asked for the linen to be change but they said that there was no housekeeping so we to do it yourself We had no issue with that but we kept getting the wrong size linen and dirty

There was no towels or toiletries So we were moved to a different room, in which had the same issue, but we were there so we just stayed there was limited housekeeping we were told, so if we needed the room cleaned we had to let them know head of time The amenities that were shown on their website was none, no pool bar, restaurant Very disappoint

The location of the hotel put me in close proximity to the event I was in town to attend One of the entry points for vehicles was instructed by two charter buses, but after circling the block, I was able to park, check in, unload my vehicle and connect with family Darlene at the front desk was so inviting

Even behind a mask, I felt the warmth of her smile There were several big activities happening at the hotel and around Springfield the weekend of my visit, so we were unable to request late check outEven before COVID was a thing, I have been very particular about the cleanliness of my hotels I was beyond dissatisfied with this one Two months ago, rates were less than $100/night At nearly $200/night, I found mouse droppings in the drawer, a dirty sock along the bed, at least 5 different types of hair from the dresser to bathroom sink, shower and on the floors The shower curtain had mold on it Immediately grossed out I desired a hot cup of tea, and when inspecting the coffee maker, there was an old coffee pod insideI usually travel with a few cleaning supplies, and yes I could have called the front desk right away, but I do not like anyone in my room once I’ve checked inI could look past the accumulating dust on the valance, in the lamp, and behind the dresser, but the above had me considering checking out immediately, but with two little kids in tow, and again, several big events at the hotel and around time, availability was slim to noneEveryone had those things that are important to them when staying at a hotel Cleanliness is important to me, and this hotel fell shortTwo stars for Darlene and location

Christopher Powers

Rooms are comfortable and very clean Price was a little high, but I can understand with it being downtown It was definitely interesting having to pay for parking in a garage

Stuff was very helpful and friendly My only thing is after paying that much, you would think there would be some kind of continental breakfast There was not so just be prepared for that Beyond those 2 things, would definitely stay at again if I am in the downtown area

I called 10 days in advance to reserve 3 rooms We requested to be close together and have 2 of the rooms adjoining I was told that would be notated for when we check in

We got there and we didn’t receive adjoining rooms and the 3rd room was down the hall I was told to take my complaint to the manager the next morning at 8am We had 6 adults and 5 children so lots to take to the rooms There were no luggage carts When asked where we could get them, the clerk shrugged her shoulders and said probably up in the halls somewhere My daughter went to retrieve We got to the rooms and they were filthy I have pictures and will attach, if possible One of the TVs didn’t work My husband went to get a toothbrush downstairs and the lady said she didn’t “think” they had any and wouldn’t go look when we asked if she could The next morning I went down to speak to the manager at 9 so I wouldn’t be bothering them first thing in the morning and there wasn’t a manager there When I stated I was told there would be, once again a shoulder shrug and it was stated “Well, there’s not” We left without eating the breakfast after seeing how they clean the rooms, we weren’t comfortable with eating their food The staff was beyond horrible They were not helpful nor caring about the situation I have a son and his family that leave in the area and will not be using this hotel for our visits I am still astounding that they have are a 4 starthat’s unbelievable!

We had reserved a king size bed and had confirmation for this room Upon arrival the clerk informed us don’t have that room but she had a double queen she could give us Told her wanted it charged to different card

She said she didn’t know how to do that, would have to do it with the morning clerk The morning clerk was very helpful We found out that a clerk likes to shift rooms around if someone shows late That is why we give a card number so we will have a room when we arrive Found out it could have even been possible when we got there we would not have had a room, even though we booked it and they had our card number to hold it We have stayed here before several times and this has not happened before The breakfast was not as good as before either

Always heard how nice these hotels are Never stayed in one before Am in the area for a ball tournament

They did have a room available last minute which was a good deal Got there late after a very long day of games Exhausted none to say the least When we walked in the room we were hit by a very strong smell of cigarette smoke Too tired to make a big deal out of get another room and so on Afraid my clothes and item would smell of smoke the next day Checked out fairly early for another long day of ball Did not want to complain However I did stop to inform the front desk just so we did not get blamed for it when they did decide to acknowledge it Lady in front seemed very uncaring Did not apologize or ask any questions Shrugged her shoulders and said ok Probably won’t come back Wasn’t even the smell of smoke at that point it was the awkward and uncomfortable feeling from her

The location of this hotel and the price made it a winner for us when we booked It is very close to the Lincoln Museum and Presidential Library The rooms are clean and the breakfast was adequate

The staff wasn’t exactly warm and welcoming, but they were helpful when we asked for information about town It is an older hotel, but we see evidence of improvements and updates being made The room was a good size (we had a double queen) and the shower was hot with great water pressure I would stay here again

Had a wonderful experience a few weeks ago when I stayed Staff was very nice and always so accommodating I reserved a room and wasn’t able to make it in due to an emergency and rushing back into work and wasn’t able to call (first time) and was charged for the night (they kept my bank card on file apparently), and was not told about the charge until I happen to check my bank account online

Wasn’t very happy about this, as they do not tell you ahead of time that if you “no call/bo show” then they will charge whatever card they have saved in your profile I will be disputing this with my bank as I did not give them authorization to have that card kept on file after my stay weeks ago Aside from that, rooms are clean and staff was pleasant And centrally located

Very clean, good check in But every time I’ve stayed here I’ve been woken up early on checkout day by the cleaning staff Check out isn’t till 11, but I get pounding knocks starting as early as 8 am, and this most recent trip twice in the space of 10 min

I travel for work and work late, this policy is not ok They ignore do not disturb signs, if the signs are provided at all

I am very disappointed in this hotel, they claim that it recently got renovated, what exactly got renovated, not the rooms And if it would have gotten renovated I’m quite sure they would have built more elevators, possibly put in a pool area or something And this the only hotel I know that doesn’t serve breakfast

Overall the room, was somewhat clean Not enough lighting in the room and on top of that the lamp in the room, didn’t work Friendly staff and they do try their best to help when needed
