Customer service has been AMAZING during AND after our stay!! They were very friendly when we were there, and have gone above and beyond in helping us get a couple of things back that we left behind!! They first called us about an hour after we departed to let us know we had left a bag on the sidewalk Not sure many hotels would do that! Then after getting back home, we realized my daughter had left her special blanket she has had since birth I immediately called the hotel and spoke with Ellie

She was the absolute SWEETEST thing and VERY helpful!! She told me how to get online and have UPS scheduled to pick it up from there and shipped to me; and she assured me she would make sure the prepaid shipping label was printed and confirm that UPS picks it up Again, ABOVE AND BEYOND!! We are more than grateful!!

Absolutely wonderful hotel! The staff was fantastic and friendly! The grounds around the hotel are gorgeous! Plenty of space to roam around outside, located in a nice area too! I enjoyed my room plenty, and the pool looked nice I would recommend staying here, and I’ll probably stay here again too! Very short distance to the BMW training facilities!

Aimee Shannon

The grounds are lovely That’s the extent of my positive comments Room was dirty, like clumps of hair and nastiness dirty

There was mold in the shower Only a few of the lights worked, despite messing with all the various configurations The hairdryer was stuck on cold Not nearly enough towels, especially considering if your stay is under 3 days, you don’t get maid service or any fresh amenities The bathroom light didn’t work The shower had a slant for drainage, but the floor was slippery and there wasn’t adequate safety handlesWorst of all, it is a long walk from the parking lot to the 2 elevators for the entire hotel, and from there it is a long walk to the rooms So not handicapped friendly, at allWould absolutely never recommend

Amy Thanasides

We booked a room on 5/21/22 for 2 nights This hotel is local for us and we have stayed here before To say that the quality and cleanliness has gone down hill would be an understatement

Dead plants at the indoor pool No clean towels The indoor pool was another level of loud and hot It utterly disgusting, but having my kids with me who were desperate to swim I allowed them to go in My skin was crawling The main reason I booked the room was because when I called I was told the outdoor pool was open for the season then when I get there I’m told that I was given the wrong the information Completely disappointed my kids The hotel was completely booked and crowded The room was dingy with stained carpet and stained sink We didn’t even stay We canceled our room by 6 So we checked in at 3:30 and left by 6:30 They want to charge me $230 for that I can’t get Hotelscom to give me a refund and I can’t get anyone on the phone at the hotel to speak with me It’s always the manager isn’t in or available Absolutely ridiculous Never again As for the response from management stating that they can’t refund from third party websites well that’s interesting since I have an email from hotelscom stating that they reached out to you to get the refund and you declined to approve it So each company is just going to blame the other and I’m out the money for services not rendered

A very clean hotel and friendly front desk people Spacious room, comfy king size bed & pillows Phenomenal hot & cold breakfast included with stay

And breakfast is open from 5:30-9:30amIt’s in a quiet rural area Close to the city without the hustle and bustle! Late checkout is available too, just askDefinitely returning next time I’m in the area

Gil Abir

The room is OK if rather basic, the service is as indifferent and uninterested as it gets They really don’t seem to care about their guests, which is a shameBreakfast was great, and the location is fine if being close to Woodbury is your priority

For a one night stay it works, no more than that

375 starsThe staff was mostly great, responsive and helpful Free laundry was nice

The room layout was comfortable, intuitive Inside the rooms was totally silent!I initially had great impressions but over time, became less amused The hallways were really moldy and the room mold was covered up with a spray to make it smell clean but over time the room mold got really strong as the toilets weren’t cleaned under the rim well enoughIt’s convenient to lots of shops, though not a lot of food/restaurants so the kitchenette is greatThe back parking lot filled up with people smoking drugs over the weekends Though I never felt unsafe in any way If the mold load was less I’d give 4 stars If it wasn’t a seeming drug destination, I’d give it 45For a stay of a few days, not over the weekend, it’s a decent-good value for the price For longer stays, it’s probably the best value in the area but that attracts some less-than-desirableness

sharelle Phillips

The only problem I had was I went to check in and they notified me of a 300 dollar deposit I had no pet therefore I shouldn’t have to do that nor should anyone else I’ve never had a hotel do a 300 dollar deposit

Or charge a 500 dollar smoking fee The rooms are very nice tho spacious and unlike extended stay, all the supplies are already in the room Truly non smoking and a nice gazebo with community grill Nice pet area too

Jason Mais

The hotel itself was nice, the amenities were good, the indoor store needs to stocked could have just been and off dayBut the real standout was the front dest clerk Her name starts with A not sure if I can use it

She was amazing, she made a situation that could have been terrible pleasant She is an amazing person to have at the front desk She gets 5 stars

I thoroughly enjoyed staying here I come into town often on business and I will now stay here when I do The room was clean and my bathroom was very well lit – which is very important to me

The staff was friendly and they offered hot breakfast items which was appreciated It was nice to have a sitting area separate from the bedroom so I didn’t feel like I was in a hotel The mini kitchen was a nice amenity and included a full size fridge, microwave, sink, dishes and silverware It was quiet at night which was good The mattress wasn’t the best; it was okay They don’t have room service but I was easily able to get food through Uber Eats which was nice

Shaik Abdul Cader Shaik Dawood

Nice and cozy The staff are all super friendly and very hospitableLove the library (both for kids and adults) section which has board games, and puzzles as well

The gym has your basic needs met, and for covid safety measures, you’ll need to book a time slot in advanceBreakfast spread is decent It could be better though

Sam Cornwell

First morning found a backpack (with no food in it) swarmed by ants We were even on the third floor No one was able to help us spray the area to kill the ants even though we called the front desk in the morning

The engineer had more important things to fix, like rooms with no AC and our hallway ceiling was torn apart with some sort of repair being done The ceiling in the master room of our suite was covered in dust clinging to the popcorn ceilingAt breakfast there were only little dessert plates and juice was served in small 2oz cupsI’m normally not picky, but a swarm of ants and no help from the front desk was a bad experience for us

Good ratings online, so I booked The poorexperience began immediately Upon arrival, we were told they did not have our room (2 queens) so we would receive a king with a sleeper sofa

We needed two beds to sleep four I asked how we would be compensated for the change I was told to call on Monday They could not get the card reader working to complete check-in My daughter needed a restroom so we went to the lobby bathroom to find two clogged toilets We were given a room key to find one king, no sofa New room, one queen, twin sofa When I returned to the desk, I was told the employee (who was very kind and patient) would call his manager He returned to say there was, and I quote “nothing” he could do for me, as they were sold out (But they would not give us the other king room we saw because someone had booked it Ironic since they gave our room away earlier…) I threatened twice to sleep a family member in the lobby since the only other option was to sleep on the floor I was told the front desk staff would call police We spoke for a long while and finally landed at me sleeping on the floor or in my van because sleeping on a lobby couch wouldn’t look good for Sonesta We got an air mattress from the van (for our final destination), moved furniture, blew it up and returned for linens They gave us linens stained with multiple yellow marks (one rather large) Add to it the smell of weed in the hallway and the “corporate” number they gave me taking me to an “incident” line (explained as being a line for theft, etc) and this hotel gets a 1 star rating, ONLY because the staff was patient and the room was nice The booking policy is TERRIBLE and the ability of the staff to help is ZERO Their hands were tied The manager should call ME I shouldn’t have to reach out two days later for resolution Terrible experience Just terrible

Sean Garcia

The hotel is great Amazing management Would give the complete 5 stars if front desk treated guests in a proper manner

They hardly ever answer the phones, even without a line even being there Sometimes they don’t even answer calls at all, or tell paying customers to hold on without even letting them get a word in then making them wait over an hour just to be hung up on Needs new people working front desk with real customer communication skills Horrible front desk Front desk is 0/5 stars

Jenny Reis

I had called to make a reservation and I was told to come in instead, that worked out perfectly and I did get a room That night I had a terrible experience with another hotel in which I had a reservations and when I got there to find out that there was no room for me The gentleman at the counter was very courteous and sympathetic with my experience prior

Good customer service is always appreciate Thanks once again

Celebrated my birthday with a stay at the Abbey Inn and Spa We arrived at the Spa for a wonderful couples massage The Spa was clean, welcoming and the services were fantastic

Everyone was friendly, helpful and warm Johnny took us under his wing to show us around, give us the history and he rang the Abbey bell for my birthday – made me feel so special The Apropos Restaurant food was amazing – roasted bone marrow with escargot (!!!), pistachio crusted lamb rack with pickled cherries (!!!!) Giselle at the bar and Johnnie as our server were fun, helpful and kind Thank you for a magical birthday celebration! PS did I mention the incredible Hudson River views and the beautiful spiritual energy all around?

We found this venue while searching for historical spaces for our Sunday brunch wedding local to us in Westchester NY The overhaul of the location was beautifully done and expertly refreshed without the team losing any of the charm or sacred historical relevance of the buildingFrom the onset, Gina Bonacci was highly responsive and accommodating to our questions and requests

Her attention to detail and thoroughness in planning out the day and surrounding timeline was highly appreciated She was very mindful of planning objectives and tracking everything of any significance Negotiations and contracts were easy to navigate and simple to understandOn the day prior to and of our Wedding, Gina served as the coordinator, timekeeper and utility player She was responsive and on top of everything we needed The entire staff was a pleasure to work with and accommodating Everyone from the hotel desk staff and cleaning team, servers, bartenders, valet and line cooks were all professional and courteousAnna and I could not recommend the venue or the team there more The day was beautiful, simple and elegant just as we were looking for The rooms were clean and well maintained and the food and drinks were fresh, tasty and well preparedWe look forward to anniversary meals, spa days and future events at the venue

Christine M. Lee

The hotel staff were pleasant enough and the grounds are lovely My husband and I have a few hiccups that were pretty inexcusable though This is mostly related to the spa

The spa staff are very disorganized and were confused when we arrived for our schedule appts Not a great start to a $360 massage The massage therapists were Tony and another man Although nice, both my husband and I agreed that our very expensive massages were basically an hour of heavy petting It was pretty much the worst massage I have ever had No pressure whatsoever, despite indicating nicely that they could use more pressure It seems they were both tired and didn’t want to expend any energy Ok I understand, but then we shouldn’t be charged over $420 (with the ‘suggested’ yet heavily implied gratuity by the front desk staff) for the worst massages we ever had I had to book a massage with my therapist in Manhattan just to feel satisfied Awful — do better or reduce your rates to $50 at best

Phenomenal place with a fantastic staff Stayed there for over three weeks and loved every moment of it The hotel is very clean and they probably have one of the best sound-proof wall systems

I barely heard any loud TV or anyone from the next room in all my time there I know it’s not because earthlings have all of a sudden become mindful of othersThe continental breakfast is fantastic as well The range of food choices is wider than in other hotels I’ve stayed in I would definitely stay here again

I just happened across this lovely hotel during my semi-frequent trips to the area The staff and service here is remarkable Rooms are always clean and comfortable

Great assortment of food at their free breakfast Complimentary/no fee parking Most importantly to me, LGBT friendly Prices are decent for the area and yes you could find cheaper—but after one stay here you wouldn’t likely want to find anywhere else

The Hilton Pearl River staff are all truly exceptional They are hard working, attentive and went above and beyond to insure our stay was a smooth and enjoyable one The pool is very nice and staffed with lifeguards, something that you don’t find at most hotels and I really appreciated considering that I am traveling with a small child

The restaurant had a great selection of food and the service was excellent The banquet facilities are beautiful There is a well equipped business center and fitness center The rooms are updated and very clean Everything was perfect! I would definitely recommend this Hotel

Margarette Allyn

The hotel is beautiful inside and out I felt like I was at a Great Gastby partyThe staff was above and beyond friendly and accommodating

The issue I did have is we did not know the hot tub and sauna were out of order until we and a group of kids went to use itThe front desk staff are left to tell guests this and management should do a better job communicating this to guest before hand; not the staff who seemed to have enough to deal withFor the amount of money per night for rooms, I would have liked to enjoy the hot tub and sauna as well as not pay to have a refrigerator in the room, a $10 charge for entire stayThey could also provide microwaves as well Families with children need to reheat food for when restaurants are closedOther than that I would stay again; I love Hilton hotels and again, the staff was amazing

Chelsea Victoria

Let me just say this… I stayed here for one night as a romantic getaway with my partner To our dismay, we were clearly treated differently This hotel is quite fancy and the room was very clean

My problem wasn’t the room or location, but some of the staff who made us feel very uncomfortable We had dinner at Two Henry’s, where we had a young waiter who was helpful and nice However, another waiter who was not tending to us kept asking questions Leading up to him asking us what room number we are in I thought it was inappropriate I don’t know why he thought it was okay to ask us for our room number Especially because he wasn’t even our designated server It seemed as though the staff wanted to keep an eye on us since I am Latina, and my partner is of very deep complexion We couldn’t help but feel like we were being watched It upset me Not that it’s anyone’s business, but we are both college graduates with respectable careers and to be treated like we were a threat or there for trouble did not sit right with me I enjoyed my room and the amenities, but unfortunately I will never stay here again knowing how the staff treated us I have experienced discrimination and tension before in my own personal experiences, but being with my partner, I experienced an indescribable feeling of projected shame It was unnecessary and I didn’t appreciate it

From the highway, it looks spectacular But, navigation of the road and parking lot to get here is the first turn off Then, you enter a beautiful lobby and imagine how nice the rooms are

you’d be wrong if you thought the rooms were special Small, very few working channels, bathroom sink doesn’t shut off all the way, and carpet starting to peel away from wall This facility is like the tale of two cities And for the price, it should be better I think a nicer brand hotel should take it over and make it into what it truly has the potential to be The bed was very comfortable however

We stayed at Sheraton Mahwah from 5/12-5/15, 2022 as we were attending an Indian wedding, with 3 functions being held at the hotel  While the hotel itself is nice, the elevator situation was absolutely horrendous  Firstly as the hotel was at almost 100% occupancy, I would have thought the hotel would have ensured that all guest elevators were working

There was only one out of 3 elevators working and it was a nuisance having such a long wait time to get to the 16th floor  Our repeated requests to the front desk to have the other 2 elevators fixed so we had ease of going up and down fell on deaf ears  We were told to use the service elevator and that is so unprofessional  But the nightmare began on Saturday evening when the only guest elevator stopped working  Some of us were stranded in the lobby, others on their high floors  The younger kids used the stairs to come downstairs but there was no way any one was going to attempt to climb up 16 floors or even 14 for that matter  The service elevator too either stopped working or was locked by the staff  It was so bad that my niece got trapped in the elevator and the fire marshal and police had to come out  Not one word of apology or compensation from the hotel’s side  We missed an integral part of the reception due to this  We travelled from Texas to come for this wedding and then to miss the celebrations due to non working elevators is just unacceptable  Throughout our stay there was no manager on duty or if there was they hid in the back office  I have never seen such a poorly run hotel  I sent an email to the GM, Sam- 6 days ago requesting some kind of response or explanation for this debacle but to date there has been no response from his side which exacerbates the situation  Extremely poorly run hotel  On a side note, housekeeping was great, attended to all our needs in a professional and very timely manner

Carmen Martinez

The building looks really nice My GPS got me there with minor issues They have guest parking

I went to an event I did not stay at the hotel A friend of mine who attended the event stayed at the hotel to be closer to the event She loved her room and the amenities The staff were nice They made sure I got to the right location of the event

Very good service! The staff was helpful and accommodating I am in town for business in the area and this hotel was perfect for that Breakfast was straight but expensive wouldn’t recommend if it wasn’t the only option

The bare at the Koi Lounge was OK too Mainly because the bartenders determine the bar experience This bartender was the only one and very busy But A1!!!! She earned two of the three stars I give this place!

Hotel once was a Holidome Sold and changed with indoor pool covered over It wants to be good but

cleaning service has not cleaned room every day I had to ask to have it done yesterday 2 cleans out of a 7 day stay But better is that the bathroom does NOT HAVE A TOILET PAPER DISPENSER!!!! True You have to hand hold and un-wrap Incredible

On a positive note, the staff was very responsive and the breakfast was delicious! The room was damp and dingy and the sheets were stained Woke up with irritated skin and the shower is missing any form of ventilation The ceilings are popcorn tiles and you will knock into them if you raise your hands

Very poor lighting in most rooms with an awkward view of the parking lot or lobbyBeautiful backdrop in terms of location as it’s nested within luscious greenery but overall extremely disappointed with this experience

Safe, convenient, clean, new hotelStayed here overnight last minute after hitting inclement weather while moving to NY Location was safe and convenient close to the highway

Room was clean and bed was very comfortable Free coffee in the room and lobby that is pretty decent tasting Free breakfast in the morning was one of the best Hampton inn breakfasts I have encountered – 6 hot buffet items that were well made as well as a waffle maker and the other usual itemsWould definitely stay here again and highly recommend!

This Hampton Inn is about a twenty minute drive from Manhattan (w/o traffic) It has a great location near several malls and hundreds of restaurants The hotel appears to be new, the grounds, landscaping and rooms are all very well maintained

The room includes two queen beds, a nice work desk and chair, and plenty of room for storage It also had a mini fridge and microwave There was an indoor pool which was accessible only by appointment, as well as a fitness center The majority of the staff were super nice I didn’t take any pics of the rooms, but they were exactly as pictured on the website

Izabela Kowalik

The hotel was nice at first glance When getting into the room I had to clean it Mirrors smeared sticky substance on the desk and window was filthy

Toilet seat was falling off! To me it’s all about the small details and they were missed through out the whole building NEED BETTER HOUSEKEEPING STAFF Pool area was ok water seemed cloudy and way too much chlorine but we swam in it and survived Gym was decent, again needs some cleaning Breakfast was the best part Food was fresh and yummy Over all its a 3 from me

We spent a night here while we were getting our boiler replaced at our home We bypassed several other closer hotels to take advantage of the newly updated facilities here The bathroom was very spacious and the shower pressure was lovely

We stayed in Room 135Breakfast in the AM was a nice perk that included hot choices!

If you are traveling with young children please be aware they do not have connecting rooms and are not very accommodating! We had called ahead of time to be sure we’d be able to have a safe space for our family’s stay and we were told to call the day of and they’d help us out We called right before the weekend again and they said not a problem We then called the day of, 2 days later, as we were told, and they said “we do not have any connecting rooms at all” and they would not upgrade us to a larger suit or refund us anything at all

Matt from the front desk was absolutely amazing My girlfriend had not slept in some time and was stranded at LGA due to flight delays He ensured the room was made up early so she could check in early and sleep

As well, he was incredibly understanding, made sure to check in with her, and provide bottled water when she arrived There was an issue with people smoking in the hotel which he handled professionally and efficiently The rooms were nice and at a reasonable price I would highly recommend this hotel The customer service was phenomenal and it was overall a great experience

Customer service was good, friendly, helpful

thank you! Breakfast was nice, our 2 queen bed studio was a nice, enjoyable space for the weekend everything was clean if I had to complain about anything, it would be that a few minor upkeep repairs were needed in the bathroom the towel hook falls out of the wall, so you cannot hang a towel on it, the shower curtain was missing a hook and the wallpaper was peeling a few inches in the bathroom Again, to me, just a few minor repairs, the room and hotel were still clean and those repairs would not keep me from returning or leaving a negative review Thank you Hampton Inn for a lovely weekend for my son’s graduation

I love this hotel! The location is great, the staff is friendly, the rooms are very clean and well cared for There always seems to be coffee available and the self-serve breakfast has many options I just arrived home from a trip and when I checked my invoice, there was a small error, I called and they were very happy to correct it right away – it was a cheerful and helpful conversation

as a longtime employee of Hilton I know great service when I see it I can tell that the front desk staff are trying their best to accommodate their guests, and I can see that the food and beverage team are experienced at the business of hospitality The food was great and the room was also very well maintained

The best part, This place is right next to William Paterson University So if you need a place to relax after finals, this might be the place to go

Jeane Spada-Allgood

Lovely hotel, but get a room far from the pool! I would love to give this hotel 5 stars – it was impeccably clean, comfortable, and in a nice location However, noisy guests coming and going from the pool were a major problem They were rowdy and loud and the pool is open until 11 pm! I was not provided another room when I requested one due to the noise

Leli B

Based on the previous reviews I see this location is known for overcharging their guest or making up rates! I booked my stay for a specific rate and Leidy from corporate confirmed and when I called the hotel Mike gave me a different rate and after 5 mins it went up… yes this is just as confusing to me! I told him to call corporate to confirm and instead called a third party company and gave me the rate they were offering that day! (Not sure how this man runs a hotel!) customer experience is terrible at this hotel and the rates are so confusing! Do not recommend
