Only halfway through my stay but I felt so inclined to leave a 5 star review just because of the amazing experience thus far I wish I could leave 10 stars, the front desk is absolutely lovely Natasha took care of me in a desperate time, I will be forever grateful

It’s really the little things that add up so well to create such a wonderful stay I will definitely recommend this hotel to all that stay in this area and if I am ever fortunate enough to stay here again, I will in a heartbeat Thank you Cambria, and thank you again, Natasha

The rooms were clean and pleasant Comfortable beds and nice modern layout Everything was great in the bathroom too

Lots of charging ports and powered blinds with blackout as wellHowever every 5 minutes there was loud banging around for 150 seconds As if a motor was off center Like a bad laundromat or a jack hammer or an a/c that wasn’t working correctly We were on the 6th floor and it was impossible to have a quiet moment or sleep

Josue Orellana

Overall the place is in excellent location, close and walkable to the university Great for families for a confort stay Restaurants, pharmacy in grocery stores are within 2 miles radius

There’s free parking A+ also, inside restaurant/ bar The rooms are very clean and feels a good vibe The only downside is Baltimore Ave sometimes gets little noisy around midnight Most staff are friendly and professional

Best hotel in GeorgetownI love the charm of this hotel right in the heart of everything The friendliest staff and impeccable service and luxurious accommodations while steps away from shopping and more dining options

The library/reception area is a cozy and elegant pace for a nightcap or to lounge The rooftop offers a fantastic view of the cityscape and is a great for private functions or if you need a peaceful place to hang out

Jay Gif

Staff were friendly and helpful Valet offered to keep Tesla charged overnight which was great! The room was THE quietest hotel room we’ve ever stayed in (no HVAC noise at all) Bed was comfortable, bathroom nice although some paint bubbling in ceiling

The rooftop spa and bar looked amazing but too cold to enjoy Deducted a star for value, was very expensive and just didn’t quite deliver what I felt it should at that price

Tania Ferguson

The Rosewood DC is remarkably disappointing More expensive than comparable rooms at the Ritz or Four Seasons, there are essentially no luxury amenities The pool is the size of two hot tubs

Sadly, Cut the restaurant had a kitchen fire and therefore there is no way to get anything to eat at the hotel I had to go grocery shopping They did not offer any discount for this inconvenience The did make the minibar complementary except for liquor…and there is essentially nothing to eat in the minibar The room is incredibly small and the bathroom hard to manage in its size The “partial canal view” is just a brick wall One must stand to look out the window if water is to be seen-and only then with great focus More accurately this is a brick wall view There is no spa, the fitness facility is smaller than a bathroom with no modern equipment in it except a single peleton bike with bad pedals The fitness facility is a really big disappointment-I’ve had to find a gym to go work out at So I’ve had to leave the premises for food, workout, spa services…It’s a travesty to the Rosewood brand They should close the hotel and renovate, modernize-or drop the prices to reflect the current facade

My stay could’ve been better and had high expectations for the hotel First, I was very happy that they were able to accommodate my last-minute change to upgrade my room from a standard to the Luxury Corner King room, which we absolutely loved the room We also were very appreciative that we were able to check-in at 2:00 PM instead of 3:00 PM as we had just traveled from Virginia Beach, VA by Amtrak and it was our first time in DC (this was a surprise birthday weekend trip)

The woman that helped us check-in was very very nice and the check-in process was less than 15 minutes, she gave us 2 complimentary drink tickets to use at the bar which also made us really love the experience so far What was not a pleasant experience and was very upsetting and disappointing was the following: 1 We went to go get ice on our floor, but the ice machine was out of order We called down to the front desk to see if there were other ice machines and were told no, that they are on other floors We were then told that someone would bring ice to our door shortlynobody ever came nor did we ever get a call about the ice We tried to use our key to get to a different floor to use their ice machine but it was not working We were also on a time crunch/schedule to go see some museums/monuments (as some require timed-entry tickets) so we never did call back about the ice We returned hours later and finally, our key let us go up to a different floor to retrieve ice I don’t think guests should have to be going to different floors to get ice 2 There was no ice bag in the ice bucket, which is a health and sanitation issue, as putting the ice inside a bucket without a bag can make it dirty and you can get sick from this Other hotels that are not “5-star” rated always have ice bags, so this was very disappointing We ended up using the disposable shower cap to place the ice in the bag 3 One reason we picked this hotel was that there was a concierge service offered, which we were going to use to get information about the monuments, museums, and restaurants as this was our first time in DC and only there for a week We walked down to the front desk and spoke to the same woman that helped us check-in to inquire about how to get tickets to the United States Holocaust Museum (tickets were almost impossible to get/booked in advance) and we thought maybe the hotel had a select number reserved She told us that the concierge service is unavailable/suspended and that she would talk to her manager and call us to let us know what they could do She took my last name and our room number and we went up to our roomwe never did receive a phone call, and at that point, it was already too late and we headed to bed 4 Our bed was completely missing a fitted sheet on the bed and we essentially slept on top of the bare mattress The bed only had the top sheet and the comforter, and we can see the mattress pad that was on top of the actual mattress (which also was very very dirty), and that upset us a lot as we just have traveled all day, had things to do once we got check-in, and then we’re about to lay down for bed 5 The bathroom was amazing, the separate tub and shower are what sold us to getting the Luxury Corner King room, but, there was an issue with our shower The walk-in shower was missing the rubber sealant on the bottom of the door, so whenever you took a shower, the water got all over the floor and basically flooded the bathroom 6 We ordered in-room dining breakfast both days honestly, it was not good Eggs were overcooked, protein was undercooked/raw, and some of the items were completely soggy Overall, the stay was not great/OK I really expected a better experience, as I was highly recommended this hotel by others Our stay failed to live up to the “5-star” rating and the “one-of-a-kind-stay” from their website It’s upsetting how much we paid for a room yet we did not receive the experience and service that should have come with it

Kimberly Giang

Super friendly staff and great location Room was very clean and tidy Valet staff was fast and very helpful

Love that it was pet friendly My only negative comment is that the shower and sink would do this weird random thing where it would shut off mid use for about 20seconds Fortunately the water would come back on nice and hot again but it was strange My overall experience was still 5 stars and I would definitely stay here again

Renato

Definitely it is not a 5 star hotel as some mention I would give 4 starWhat I didn’t like:No concierge or help for visitors

Even a cheap city map they didn’t have, had to go to another hotel and beg for one Restaurant reservations they Google, they are not able to make a call so it is faster to do it ourselvesCompulsory 30usd tax including telephone calls, higher speed internet that most of times doesn’t work, 2 X 0,50 cents water bottles, coffee and tea at the lobby, package handling (it was useful for me, but any other hotel do that for free, except Loews or Hilton), and other things most guests don’t useNo views (luxury and higher have views to a building other side of the street, superior room has a view to a wall and back of another very close building, standard room probably hasn’t a window),Bathroom toiletries are different brands each so shower will make you smell like a fruit salad,They probably don’t use a softener when washing towels (or softener is not working),All glasses are the cheapest roadside hotel plastic or paper cups Maybe they are still very worried about covid but not about convenience or confort If using plastic glasses is obligatory they could use nice cups as this is supposed to be an elegant hotel, but the cup is the same we find in 1 or 2 star hotels, or hospitalsMinibar doesn’t cool down Probably it only freezes when we request it to be filled but I had some beverages I wanted to cool for my city walk and couldn’t do thatWhen I flushed toilet during the night I believe I woke up the entire floor It makes an incredible noise for some couple of secondsWhat I liked:Reception staff is very friendly,Location is very nice, not far from anywhere and next door to the White House and less than 20 minutes to the museumsBlackout curtains in the room really workShower is good, pillows and bed are comfortable, air conditioning worksCleanliness and cleaning service Very goodRoom size is perfectValet staff is friendly and prompt (don’t forget it costs 60usd per day)

Beware, $25/day amenity fee isn’t ever mentioned when booking The amenities aren’t exceptional whatsoever (no breakfast, just coffee and tea) and just should be standard at this type of hotel But I said, fine, at least they list an option for a late check-out on a little piece of paper they give you when informing you that they will charge you extra daily fee

Upon asking the front desk for a late checkout, I was informed that after the first hour every hour is for an additional fee starting at $50 per hour So what is exactly the $25 fee for? One-hour check-out is a standard courtesy offering The rooms are nice but no microwave The fridge wasn’t working Not sure what exactly it is that I paid for so won’t stay here again

Shu Illumeenous Thomas

Great location, room was spacious and clean but a bit dusty You could tell the room hadn’t been used in a while & the sofa bed had a stain on it Staff were great and very nice

View wasn’t the best but that was okay Never got to try the pool but the food in restaurant in the lobby was on point Felt safe walking around, plenty of activity nearby and close to the metro It was a lot traffic in and out but never heard anything loud or crazy in our room The spa tub made it all worth it

Sam Adams

One of the best hotel experiences I have ever had! The rooms are nice sized and the bathroom was gorgeous Also I LOVE the amenities, even if they charge a little extra every day, totally worth it Free wine hour, two free bottles of water a day, free wifi, $10 in their market, and FREE BIKE RENTALS!! A beautiful hotel and located by everything you need

Will definitely be staying here whenever I go back to DC!

I had a 2 night stay here last week and I was greeted by Mia who was a very friendly and informative employee She even offered to look up restaurants/closest wine stores nearby for me when I inquired I really appreciated the kindness upon arriving

My room was very clean and and modern and the shades made the room dark for sleeping The only issue I had were some very noisy neighbors around midnight which lasted until around 1:30, which sounded like they were moving furniture around for 45 minutes and banging on the walls, but that is not the hotel’s fault I enjoyed the breakfast and always available coffee/tea in the lobby as well I was going into DC and the Greenbelt Metro station was a 10 minute drive from the hotel, which was very convenient also I look forward to staying here again the future

Kayle Mabry

I always travel for work and always stay here when I’m in town It’s one of the cleanest and best 3 star hotels I’ve stayed in It’s always extremely comfortable and is a good location and everything is up to date and new

Only reason I gave it 4 out of 5 stars is the noise at night if you’re on the highway side of the building I’m in my 20s and never have issues sleeping even with noise but even this was a little much for me Other than that I would recommend this hotel everytime

Andrew K

Staff was excellent! I’m sorry I can’t give 5 stars on this alone and separate it from the Hotels location! A crowd of “youths” in and around the lobby as I’m checking in after midnight And on the street in and around the Hotel there was rambunctious activity and even fighting that had local police intervention! Great stuff when you’re trying to sleep And not just for a minute or two, this went on for hours! I expect more from a Hilton! And oh, the water dripping out of the shower, basically made it useless was the kicker! Unacceptable! Otherwise the room was spotless and nice, very clean! Again, staff was wonderful and I felt sorry for them having to deal with the trouble there

I had such an excellent stay here Its a 45 star hotel, I see that google has it listed as 3 stars which is not accurate

The hotel is aesthetically beautiful, excellent artwork and design, and has luxurious amenities The basic king room was cozy but not cramped The bedding is absurdly comfortable and soft with crisp white cotton linens Very clean, crisp, and pleasant atmosphereThe food and drinks in the restaurant were excellent Vegan & gluten-free options as well as a delicious smoothie on the breakfast menuThe staff was extraordinarily friendly and helpful without exception to anyone I dealt with They made it a lovely stay and I will absolutely be back next time I am in DC!

Check in was smooth, I arrived earlier then the schedule and they were able to find me a room The room was clean overall, but had a couple of missing things here and there With a simple phone to the service desk they were able to get it

Daily housekeeping service, the housekeepers are wonderful and honestly that’s why I put the 4 stars It’s all for the housekeepers! Full kitchen is provided, location is great The gym is alright, only dumbbells and cardio (not expecting anything more) Overall great! Front desk staff were also great

We stayed at TownePlace Suites for more than 15 weeks I would like to say that this was thus far the best hotel stay experience we have had The hotel is clean, has great amenities, and has free continental breakfast

But, the staff at this hotel makes the stay more enjoyable Mr Tilahun, the general manager, was very courteous, helpful, professional, and attentive to his guests need He made sure we enjoyed our stay One of the engineers, Andrew, was exceptionally welcoming and always said: “If you need anything, we are here for you” which meant a lot to us The housekeepers did a fantastic job keeping our room and hotel neat All of the staff we encountered displayed warm and welcoming smiles every time The front desk staff was professional and helpful Ms Sherry especially treated us like family We miss her warm and caring personality This hotel is under great leadership We have enjoyed our stay We highly recommend TownePlace Suites!

Danielle Pierre

This is definitely one of the nicer hotels in this price range in the area I stayed at some of the cheaper locations and I would really suggest paying a few dollars more to stay here The staff were amazing and friendly

The room was clean and nice It also has a kitchen in it if you want to save a little money from eating out This is so close to the Greenbelt Metro station, it’s really convenient It has free onsite parking I would definitely recommend this place!

Taylor Namm

Hotel was nice and very convenient for my business trip but the management is a joke for sure I checked in Friday and per the manager the front desk did not turn in my room to get cleaned so i was initially checked into a dirty room Was told that they were booked and she’d she what she could do and thankfully found me another room but the new room smelt like cigarettes/weed and covered with perfume

But i took the room with fear of not being able to be accomadate and had to get up early for training the next morning So I was told to call management Monday (today), so i did and asked for either comp’d stay or half off and told me no because i didn’t check out after staying one night I had my training all weekend (every where else was full due to this) so i had no options but to stay He refused to help me Their mess up because my inconvenience at a price which is very unprofessional

I recently stayed at the Washington Hilton for a work conference and my experience was greatThe room was clean and comfortable The furniture had some wear as is expected with time but nothing that impacted the comfort or functionality of the room

My room faced the courtyard and one night there was an even held there with music playing but the music off my 10PM at the latest do it didn’t interfere with my rest at all When I arrived, I found that my digital key wasn’t working and the front desk staff member was extremely apologetic and provided me with a standard key card which worked flawlessly for my entire stayHallways are dark but not drab, that’s just the design Elevators are small in size but they move very quickly so I never had to wait long even if I skipped the first optionEveryone on staff was polite, friendly and professional, from the front desk staff to the concierge to the bartenders to the housekeeping staff to the event staff When I checked in I requested extra towels be sent to the room and when I got to the room, before I could even put my suitcase down, housekeeping was at my door and it was followed up by a call later that evening to ensure I had received them I also used the Hilton app several times to chat with the front desk and they always answered my questions quickly and accurately

I cannot say enough nice things about the staff at The Hilton They went out of their way to make everyone’s stay wonderful We were traveling with a pet and they treated her like gold

It is clean, inviting, and obviously very well managed I interacted with a lot of staff and they all seemed to take real pride in the hotel and an interest in the guests They have a wonderful outdoor space that has plenty of room for private conversations and lazy reading The lobby is lively and inviting My room was so clean that I came home mad that I’m not as good at spotting dust as Esperanza and Sophia Plus, they both loved the puppy and were great fun to chat with I will never stay anywhere in DC except this property Well worth the very fair price Thank you all for making our vacation so nice

The customer service is great and parking is easy The manager Timothy is kind and helpful Nice amenities and the restaurant/bar is good

Admittedly, the rooms are small The overall facility is the draw, not the individual rooms so muchThe art & sculpture galleries on the lower level is a nice bonus(though that technically is the UMCG art collection) There have a permanent and temporary artist exhibits Overall, a comfortable place to stay and visit

Dee

From the moment of check-in, my stay was great! Larry Rollins at the front desk was so helpful from checking me in to my employee forms that I needed He was very warm and welcoming!! Thank you for the upgrade, we ENJOYED the suite greatly!! 🙂 The hotel was very clean and every associate we encountered was very nice We will definitely be back for another staycation!

Horrible Bonvoy member and literally had a closet for a room Literally

And at not a cheap rate No AC and room was so stuffy Could not lower it myself as it had been locked Had to call in service who lowered the temp but vent ended up just blowing air and not cool air Have horrible allergies so suffered all night without this Putting in formal complaint

The hotel is in a great location; convenient to most everything The furnishings are a bit dated but clean I didn’t have breakfast in the hotel or try out the restaurant

The staff was nice and helpful I’m not sure the thermostat worked appropriately in my room, but the temperature was comfortable due to the nice weather outside I’d stay there again for business

Matthew Carney

This was, by far, the nicest staff I’ve interacted with in a long time I was traveling and my wife and newborn twins came along Since she is breastfeeding we needed a mini fridge for the milk and it wasn’t offered with our room

We asked the front desk and they were quick to bring a fridge up for no charge The receptionists and wait staff were friendly and seemed to really care about us The room we had was spacious and very clean The area is nice as well I wasn’t worried about my wife and kids walking alone anywhere while I was working I would totally recommend this hotel for anyone The only downfall is there is only valet parking for the hotel and it was $43 a night

Peter

Very relaxing and accomodating hotel! Although they didn’t have a fridge they provided one upon request, gratuitously! They have been very responsive with their room service! The gym has seen better days though I would love to do some pull ups but there equipment choice is very limited Nonetheless, I didn’t come here for the gym alone

Sorry folks, no complimentary breakfast here They must have lost business with the attached restaurant (This review was written two nights into a 6 night stay covered by work, for work)

Within walking distance and So close to all attractions, metro, restaurants and services Every morning we enjoyed their full breakfast which was always wonderful with a ton of choices

We spent three nights in this hotel at the end of July We enjoyed our stay, and found it to be a good value for its excellent location The desk staff was very nice and helpful

The breakfast area was well run and the food was good Our rooms were a little on the small side, but this is to be expected for an urban hotel in the middle of the cityWe did not drive a car while staying, used Uber and Metro It was convenient to get out of the car in front of the hotel Nice, safe-feeling location very close to the White House and convenient to two Metro stations Very pleased

Location, maintenance staff, and breakfast were all 5 starsMy reason for 3 stars – for the cost we paid to stay here for 4 days, not worth it Our room did not have a microwave or fridge

I called and was told you have to choose ‘premium’ rooms for that I’ve been to less quality hotels and have always received a room with a fridge and microwave The front desk did have a spare mini fridge we could use and that was brought up right away by maintenance We also requested a crib – which maintenance also brought up asap We could not use this crib for my baby The floor panel of the crib was literally a piece of cardboard broken in half You would think they have the budget for decent qualityFront desk, I do give 3 stars I called to receive extra towels and it took one whole day to receive my towels I called back every hour and it was always a new person who I did not talk to previously Not the biggest help They were nice, but again for the price we paid (over $1K) I would have preferred to stay something more elite

The staff is really, really nice!! Easy to get to by public transit— you can call their shuttle to get you from the metro, but it only runs on weekends right now bc of the pandemic It’s about a mile walk in an easy flat area if you don’t have too much luggage or it’s a nice day Beds are super comfy and the showers are great

The toiletries provided are lightly scented and smell great! The rooms are kind of dark at night which I don’t really like, but they are otherwise great Nice and clean The light switches are all electronic buttons which might take you a few minutes to work out but once you get the hang of it it’s kinda nifty The pool and gym are solid and the conference amenities are very attractive as well I haven’t been to the spa myself but a friend got her nails done there and had a great experience The bar is wonderful, though the beer selection is pretty smallThey make a great bloody mary!

I loved my stay here! Beautiful hotel with an amazing view Conveniently located just steps from the University of Maryland The staff was nice, the room was immaculate, and the bed was so comfortable

If you are planning a trip to DC this is a great option just outside the district but is located near the metro line I really enjoyed my stay here and hope to visit again

I have stayed at the University of Maryland Hotel several times over the past few yearsThe rates are good and the service is excellent The staff is very friendly

I wish that some of the rooms had bath tubs instead of just showers but that’s a minor issueThe two restaurants right next to the premises, a pizza place and a bagel place, are excellent and reasonably pricedObviously this location makes sense if you’re doing something at the University of Maryland However, it’s a very clean and professional outfit for anyone staying in the DC area in general

I stayed four days at the Darcy at Logan Circle The photos on the official website matched my room exactly and I was surprised at how large the standard room with city view was I am extremely happy with my stay

The staff at the front desk are so wonderful, polite and attentive, I felt so special every time I entered Even the door attendants are superb They all had wonderful attitudes The bathroom is a tad small but it’s aesthetically pleasing The bed was very comfortable and clean, I enjoyed my sleep here very much They only issue I had was housekeeping, which is why I only gave 4 stars You must request housekeeping which is fine but they almost never came, even after calling 3 times, and when they did it was late in the evening after I had called again When guest check into a hotel this is their chance to be taken care of and this is where the Darcy fell short I found myself cleaning up, making my own bed, and gathering trash, also calling for fresh towels and soap which weren’t delivered because housekeeping didn’t come This was honestly the only issue Other than that I enjoyed my stay and would like to return in the future because I frequent DC and it is within walking distance of all the attractions I even walked to capital hill one day with no issue and it was so fun The walk score is definitely a 10, as well as the atmosphere and staff They also have complimentary drinks for half and hour on certain days which is such a nice touch The housekeeping service is the only issue The housekeepers are so nice and thorough but it’s simply getting them to come that’s the issue Other than that this hotel would get 5 stars I hope that if return that they have this sorted out!Lastly, definitely order room service, you will not regret it I’m leaving a separate review for Gerrad Street Kitchen, which blew my socks off!

First off, the staff here is wonderful Very friendly staff and they made sure that guests were well taken care of The ambiance of the hotel was lovely

Even the restaurant on site was great The food and the staff were wonderful Giving 4 stars because the bathroom in my room was smaller than I would have liked Overall I would definitely visit again

The rooms and bathrooms are quite small, but the front desk was pleasant when we checked in and the decor was nice The walls are very thin, we could hear the guests next to us having a party until about 1am (we stayed up late too so we didn’t bother complaining to the front desk) There was no menu for the restaurant in my room, and no breakdown of the costs involved with ordering room service, so be sure you confirm that before you pay twice the price of the food in fees, taxes, and more fees

Overall a pleasant stay! The hotel room was pretty average, but incredibly quiet Very close to many delicious restaurants and cafes! The staff was helpful and allowed us to store our bags before and after checkout Valet parking was on the expensive side, but was comparable to other places nearby

Only big concern – the hallways had a pretty terrible sewage smell, however it didn’t seem to extend into the rooms

Nik Rama

This is a pretty decent hotel in the center of Georgetown! We came for a few days to enjoy the city and be able to walk to most placesDo note that Valet parking is $50/day for regular cars and $60/day for oversized carsThe staff were helpful and friendly

Elevators are efficient and quickly come to your floorThe fitness center is surprisingly pretty big with multiple cardio equipment, some free weights, and a few machinesRooms are pretty comfortable, however our floors were not clean or vacuumed Small pieces of gravel were strewn across the roomThe other issue is the temperature of the hotel The elevators and hallways are extremely hot and humid as if there is no air conditioning! It’s a little gross feeling that humidity and heat throughout the elevator ride and walking to your room Once inside your room it is much betterThey are connected to the Chef Geoff restaurant, so if you are a Hilton Diamond member you will get a $10/guest/day to use there They have really good food for both breakfast and dinner so I highly recommend it!

CeCe Fiering

The room is nice and spacious but it’s obvious that some things are definitely cheap The bed was comfortable but the pillows are terrible The TV is old

All of the hardware is super cheap and not installed well in the bathroom The bathtub spout leaks, the towel hanger fell off the door, the shower valve doesn’t work very well Other than that, the location is nice Very close to nice restaurants and good location if you have to walk

Check in was smooth The clerk acknowledged me as an UHG Rewards member and that I had booked with points I was given a room on the 8th floor which is great

I do not like low floor rooms The bed and bathroom was super clean 👌 Great night sleep and the breakfast was good I would recommend this hotel and would stay again! No complaints at all

Marsha

Review only on front desk staff, and lower level of hotel I did not stay overnight Went in to conduct business

Great curb appeal off Baltimore Ave, College Park Quiet location, other than traffic Front desk presentation flows well, very clean, functional, gym open to midnight, business center, snacks at front, optional water, coffee where neededThe desk clerk was cordial, knowledgeable
