It started with one hour early check-in which was the only good thing to say about our stay After that, we were notified of shortage of staff and room service is not available everyday This is a deal breaker

Having so many other options to stay, the reason we chose this hotel over AirBnb was room service and breakfast We did not get room service for our entire stay of 3 nights We put the garbage outside of the room and no one picked up the garbage Breakfast: didn’t have vegetarian option except milk and cereals No breads or bagels Juice machine was broken as if it’s a thing in hotels nowadays I haven’t had this bad experience at other Marriott properties 1 star is because of room size

The holloway family

The hotel is very old and stale The carpet is filthy We only stayed one night because we couldn’t get out money back, but had to cancel our other night because we could not tolerate the filth

I probably used an entire bottle of Lysol trying to disinfect the room Did I say the carpet is filthy, the bathroom floor was disgusting, the pillow cases were dirty Even the free lotion that every hotel provides looked 1980ish The rooms are super small I have stayed in a Motel 8 and that hotel was better than this hotel I’m not going to get started on the subpar breakfast Muffins smelled like play dough I could go on and on, but do not pay anything more than $75/night for this hotel Trust me, you will be highly disappointed I hope that my negative review will motivate management to fix the problem

Siva Kumar

The hotel was filthy and it seems like Marriott retrofitted an old hotel into its chain The room amenities did not work as expected The fridge leaked water in the room floors, the microwave did not work and the ac/heat were either too hot or cold

It could not be controlled We just stayed there for a night but it was probably my least favorite stay in a Marriott chain I would not recommend it to anyone

We had a horrible stay at the Candlewood Suites Georgetown I ended up stressed out and terrified because of the service The management was not cooperative, lacking managerial skills and downright rude, beware

The sink in the bathroom collapsed on the third day of our stay so we were placed in a more expensive room (which we didn’t ask for) and were charged the difference! They refused us into our room and we were stuck in the lobby for more than two hours after the entire day in the hot summer sun, because they wanted us to sign a form and threatened us with the Police! In addition, the entry card was always a problem, the place lacks in cleanliness and smells unpleasantly I regret staying there and would think twice staying in any hotel of IHG Group again

Take the review seriously and stay somewhere else The rate fluctuates without further notice, this property overbooks frequently Property is not a true IHG property, just another franchise

Make sure you have a room here, you would need to be on the General Managers personal cell phone Usually Sheree will be at the front desk calling/texting her tenants, even if they’re working, until they answer and advise them to say yes and take another credit card authorization or else I travel often and meet a lot of people, but the GM is the most cumbersome individual you will encounter Fraternizing is GREAT, but fraternizing and not seeing the bigger picture in the hospitality field is hindering Staff is far from cohesive standards, everything goes through the GM with that said do not take out frustrations on any of the staff They are only doing what they are told This is a common practice amongst franchise standards With that said, if you plan to not show up, cancel your reservations with IHG directly, as even IHG rewards is aware of the ludicrous actions of the manager If you plan to get your money back call the customer service line first You will find yourself calling a few times too many before anyone answers or not at all within the hotel or on the way to the hotel Rooms are dated, things like the couch are falling apart, bathroom is falling apart, cheap irons supplied will burn your clothes, wi-fi will not work as they have too many wi-fi passwords, dishes are old and the carpets are dirty, it is not a housekeeping issue the property does not supply staff with equipment for these tasks, same goes for maintenance the craftsmanship is only what is provided to them and the washer/dryers also have issues Just have a plan B and look around and see what I mean, you can ask to have a tour Apparently this is a replacement of another property that was shut down not too far from this one and now being rebuilt as a shelter for the homeless Customer service goes a long way, if you’re just looking to crashokay, book it cheap and don’t get scammed

If you are looking for clean, kind staff, and affordable… go here !!! I stayed here for a few days and I plan on going back the next time I’m in town The front desk worker, Michelle I believe her name was, was absolutely amazing and helped me get a room almost instantly! Everyday I was given clean towels, more coffee replacements, and extra shampoos and conditioners Most affordable clean inn anywhere near the area and definitely recommend!

I loved this hotel The staff was great The only thing I had an issue with was check in

I suggest with this hotel calling and letting them know if you’re going to be late so you won’t have any issues (my opinion) lucky for me I booked a room so I didn’t have any worries The room was definitely worth the price and i will be staying here again

We stayed here because a friend recommended the place I have no complaints about the room, it was excellent However, customer service in this establishment is the worst

The front desk manager is so unprofessional, she would call you early in the morning to tell you that you need to stop by and pay even though you already have your credit card on file They made a mistake and you suffer for it As someone who works in hospitality industry, this is something that cannot be unseen No matter how much satisfied you are with your stay, poor customer service just makes it not worth it

Bre Carpe

I’d give this place a 45 based on a one night stay Check in was fast, receptionist was friendly

Got up to our floor Funky smell in the hallway & room Had to spray perfume to mask it Room was clean but I still take precautions knowing what I know about hotels Checkout was extended 30 mins Love that we could enter from side entrances Breakfast was good 4/5 Pillows got flat quick We couldn’t find the location b/c our maps kept saying arrived & we were by kohl’s/chili’s Had to call them told us they were behind Walmart

Jose Black

Reserved and received confirmation for a king size bed Upon arrival, desk clerk tried to say since we were IHG Rewards members, they “upgraded” us to 2 queen beds We told them that we reserved a king size bed and we’re not interested in what they considered an upgrade (we considered it a downgrade)

They told us they had no king size beds available I asked why they didn’t have one when we reserved one and received a confirmation that we reserved one They asked if we wanted to cancel our reservation We had no where else to stay They ended up taking $20 off each night we stayed (2 nights) We felt insulted that they tried to tell us 2 queen beds was an upgrade to 1 king bed Never staying there again! Corporate said they stood by the hotel decision on the $20 off What’s the purpose on making a reservation and getting a confirmation if the hotel is not going to honor the reservation?

This is a nice hotel 24 hour fresh ground coffee maker in the lobby, lots of seating if you need to meet a client or friends The hotel was spotless with disposable ice buckets

A much cleaner option Great air conditioning on a 100 plus degree day Very comfortable bed and no carpet anywhere in the room A plus in my opinion My room was next to the elevator and the hotel was sold out which usually means noise It was very quiet all day and night Perfect sun block shade which eliminated all the light If I had to pick something to change it would be the blinking white light on the fire alarm I look forward to staying here again

roger young

Had a great multi-night stay at Avid at Tech Ridge Facilities were super clean Service from Danielle from the front desk was awesome

She was very accommodating to the dynamic situation I had to deal with There was free choice freshly ground from the bean 24 hour gym was convenient Internet was good to work remote for several days Definitely would recommend for folks that want a convenient and clean stay

Sam B

The room service was fantastic they cleaned my room perfectly and completely spotless without moving a single belonging I had some clothing in a bag that was in the same kind of bag as the trash and they did not throw away my clothes and only the trash which is really a great notice of detail The breakfast is just OK

The coffee is weak watery and disgusting Every inch of the hotel is spotlessly clean even the smoking sections and public areas The staff is very helpful and kind The walls are very thick, and so are the doors You can’t hear anything though them in the hall or the wall The view is terrible but the windows are beautiful I would go again Was here a week mourning a sudden death in the family, and I felt so blessed to be able to stay here while we cried and we had our home cleaned Thank you I will come again anytime!

The staff deserves a 10 We were here 3 weeks, so they began to feel like family Whether we needed quarters for the laundry room or didn’t see a favorite item on the breakfast buffet, they were gracious to accommodate the need

Kept the facility clean and up to dateThe only reason I deducted one point was because of the trains Whoever chose the site didn’t factor in the railroad tracks parallel to the motel and roadway I am a light sleeper, and was awakened about once a night by a train whistle

MaryAnn

I have stayed in a dozen or more La Quinta and Wyndham hotels, and this location is the best for staff courtesy and helpfulnessWell managed, clean and quiet Convenient location

All staff members were cordial and responsive Thanks to all for great customer serviceSpecial thanks to Eric, Richard, Vera, as well as Jake and Sabrina for taking the extra steps to ensure a pleasant stay

This place is very nice Not sure why it’s only a 2 star, it’s as nice as (or better) than some 3’s Very clean, modern, nice sized rooms, comfy beds, pool, etc

Staff at check-in were wonderful There’s a small bar if you want a beer or a drink Not too far off the interstate Restaurants, coffee shop and gas stations nearby Nice place, I would certainly stay again

Beautiful hotel, at a good location for us Lot of artwork, memorabilia located in and around the building Our room was mostly nice

The patio was very nice to sit outside in the evening The pool area was very nice as well The lobby and breakfast area was well situated and comfortable Some breakfast items were not always available for long periods of time before they could bring more The staff was mostly helpful On the downside, the lobby men’s room was out of soap and tissues, for the 2 day that I was there This seemed to be story of most of the building Many of the hand sanitizers were empty We had to ask the front desk due to no towels at the swimming pool They got some out there in about 15 minutes Housekeeping was not doing daily cleaning of the rooms I assume due to the pandemic situation They have to sure what they need to do, but some plan as to getting towels exchanged, trash pick-up would have been good to know

Allie Lee

I just spent the past week here for a work trip I appreciated the location, and I had plenty of space in my room The fridge, microwave, and kitchen sink were all super helpful to have

Unfortunately, the kitchen sink in my room leaked water My room was next to the laundry room, so I’m not sure if that was the reason for having NO water pressure in the shower- like water trickled out of the shower head, and the hot water knob on the bathroom faucet did not turn on The front desk worker was irritated when I requested housekeeping for each day of my stay The housekeeper did a nice job on the days that they came but my room didn’t get done one day even though it was on the schedule The one elevator’s buttons were stuck and hard to work and a lot of people’s trash was left out in the hallways for a really long time The gym was nice and not busy at all I’d stay here again if my company needed me to stay here again, but I will definitely vocalize my room issues in the future if there are any

Trev Schelling

This is an average suites hotel at best, similar to La Quinta Inns level This place is OVER-PRICED They charge like a 4-star hotel

We were looking forward to great experience after seeing reviews and were utterly disappointed I question the authenticity of some of those reviewsProblems: Beds & pillows not comfortable, pool unclean (our child developed skin rash!), dogs barking next door People leaving their garbage outside the doors instead of housekeeping staff going to rooms and picking We had not seen that in hotels costing half of what this Homewood charged usIn short, we would not recommend this place

Had our Global Women Study group (GWSG) At this location I stayed there for one week and everyone was very helpful and accommodating We rented the meeting room for two days and it was always fully stocked with water and coffee

The staff including manager Claudia, Janet, and Brigitte were amazing I would definitely recommend anyone going into Georgetown to stay at the Hampton!

Dohn Joe

Digital key was not working my entire stay no matter what I did Reboot, sign out sign in etc

Very disappointed contacted both desk attendant, the manager, and Hilton customer service and was not successful in remedying the situation Now I have to carry around an additional key card Small inconvenience for some But when you have multiple hotels you are checked into at the same time it gets confusing and packs your pockets full of useless cardsAdditionally service was atrocious Call the front desk if you need housekeeping or require additional amenities What they should put down is you want something come down to the front desk we are too lazy to bring it to your room I’m sorry, I pay to stay at this hotel you get paid to provide services I hopefully won’t be staying here again IHG here I come

Such a cool hotel!! My daughter and I stayed here for a night and both loved it The theme/decor is different from a lot of hotels you see in the area and was really fun The room was amazing, had everything we needed, and was really cute

Also the staff was very friendly and helpful both the night we checked in and in the morning when we left!

UPDATE 6/5/22: Two weeks after the stay, I realized my credit card was charged $46 two days after my stay for no reason (room was paid with points) My Marriott account, however, does not show any charges I called the property three times and GM Ellis was suppose to have called me back

He never did I did learn from a helpful front desk associate that their records do not show any charges either I am now disputing the random charge with Chase Check your bank or credit card statements for erroneous chargesPoor excuse for a Marriott property Everything is dingy from the lobby to the rooms Attempts to provide a modern ambience are overshadowed by lackluster amenities Will not be staying at another Aloft branded property On a positive note, the staff were very friendly and had great attitudes

Lindsey Ray

Edited to add: as of today, there is a pending deposit from AloftNot a great experience 2 nights of our 3 night stay we had no television

They came and looked at it and said they would fix but that never happened Our last night there, the shower head dripped and was hitting the metal drain pan I tried jusr closing the bathroom door but the rolling doors don’t close all the way A plastic piece of the door kept falling off but we could just put it back The chargers on the bedside tables seem like a great idea but they don’t fully charge even when on for 8 hrs Last day, our air conditioner couldn’t seem to get the room cool but maybe it was just so hot outside, it couldn’t keep upI told the lady at check out all of the issues and she was very nice and apologetic She said she didn’t have authority to really do anything about it and wrote it all down in a spiral and assured me someone would call No one did so I called a week later and spoke to front desk manger and she said we’d be refunded a night’s stay in 3-5 days Never happened I called again, still nothing Called and talked to GM,he assured me we would get the refund Never happened I have now left a couple messages and talked to a couple other people and while all mostly friendly, they are doing nothing I should have demanded it be taken care of at check out but I’ve honestly never dealt with such a shady hotel Our stay was Memorial weekend and still no resolution

For a one night stop over this hotel offers value for money – anything longer and you may struggle to find the positives in this place We stayed for a month after moving to Austin and sadly the room was cleaned just 3 times in 4 weeks With a family of four including children this was awful

We asked on a number of occasions for the room to be cleaned and reception staff were always agreeable but it often either didn’t happen or when it was cleaned, full bedding was not changed or not replaced I think in peak season the cleaning staff may be overwhelmedAgain on the breakfast – for one night it would be ok, but with very limited to no healthy choices (all yogurt and cereal is sugary) my family really struggled By the end of the week the options are very slim and we had to buy our own cereal outside of the hotel to have a few days a weekStaff were polite and the pool was reasonably clean However many communal areas such as the stairways and laundry room were astonishingly extremely dirty The laundry room is free which is an added bonus, but it was regularly left in a state with dog hair and lint from the machines all over the place The stairways need a regular deep clean and carpet shampoo as they are all stained and with only one lift, they are in regular use

Kimberly Carrasco

Arrived at the hotel with two children around 9:00 at night including a baby only to wait at the front desk for literally 40 minutes! Lots of guests were at the front needing things and she was nowhere to be found Some housekeeping ladies were so sweet and trying to contact the manager to help me check into my room I get into my room FINALLY and there is one towel for three people and I could not go back downstairs to get more because I did not feel like waiting on her to disappear again

Such a shame because the room was nice

Ali Moosavi

Me and my family decided to spend a night here while visiting the Austin area We had gotten a double bedroom suite and a single bedroom suite ok where do I start

The room had mold marks on the walls They did not provide us plates which come standard in rooms They did not have blankets for sofa the beds and when asked said they had none available!! When asked for pillows they said they had only ‘one’ pillow available!! one single pillow The room did not have a hair dryer and when asked for one said they had no hair dryers available We had an infant with us and when we requested a cribthey said they do not have any cribs I mean honestly what could we expect from this establishment when said they only have one pillowlet alone blankets and other amenitiesWe go down for the complimentary breakfast downstairs the next morning and some people amongst us who had dietary restrictions asked the chef who was there if the omelette has meat in it and he guarantees us no meat and when look in it had ham in it When we get upsetthe chef has this i do not care attitude and when we say we will report this to the manager actually takes us to the reception and asks us to do it when we tell him we will put in a review his response in from the manager is go ahead make sure you put my name in it too The manager himself act likes he cares either Bottom line is that this being run worse than any hotel or even motel I have every stayed in let alone a IHG hotel

We had the best breakfast, eggs were cooked perfectly, sausage was amazing and the oatmeal was on point The breakfast area was really neat, clean and organized The lady serving us was really sweet and very helpful her, name was Felipa she made us feel just as if we were home with mom

Great job and service Mrs Felipe you made our day !!!! I hope to come back soon to her service and her good breakfast:)

This place is clean and neat The breakfast is your standard breakfast of eggs, sausage, cereal, bagels, fruit and coffeeI had an issue on checkout

Since it was a business trip, I had a scheduled business session The front desk took 15 hours in resolving my checkout issue I won’t go into details but the delay caused me to miss a morning business sessionIt took the manager over an hour to get there since the young lady did not know how to correct the paperworkThe owner shows up, cool as a cucumber and did not say a wordThe computers were slow, the manager was late and we finally left with corrected receipt in handNo apologies, no credit, no words

This hotel could easily achieve a 5 star rating by paying more attention to bathrooms and maintenanceUpon entering the room I was impressed by the efficient use of space to tuck a mini-fridge kitchen area in right by the entry, leaving a huge space for a double service desk for my partner and I to both fit comfortably A fold up couch and full swing TV allowed us to move around the space and be comfortable throughout

The bed slept awesome and the building was exceptionally quiet Then I went into the bathroomThis hotel outfitted their bathrooms with the cheapest plastic bathtub I have ever seen outside of an RV There was no exhaust fan The toilet seat hung by one broken fitting and the toilet paper holder was hanging off the wall as though someone had used it as a handicapped bar, pulling one anchor out of the wall The commode was so short, I felt it would fit better in an elementary school rather than a Hilton hotel, perhaps why some needed the TP holder to get out of the hole once they fell in The toilet was also too close to the wall, making it a difficult prospect to sit down without scraping one’s elbow all the way down to the incredibly low seat Finally, it was a billy goat bathroom, I had to straddle the seat to close the doorAll in all a 5 star room made into a 3 star experience by poor bathroom engineering and a lack of maintenance

This hotel was great! My mother and I were visiting family near by to deliver Christmas gifts about 2 weeks before Christmas so we could avoid holiday traffic Both of my parents are retired military so, as I’m sure you can assume, we moved a lot and stayed in hotels frequentlyUpon checking in they were friendly, and even offered to help carry our things upstairs

We noticed that it was very crowed, but that’s ok When we got to the room it was clean, nice, and comfortable too During the night it was quiet which was very nice considering I have insomnia, and am a light sleeperThis hotel was a blessing in disguise because the night before we stayed in a best western inn plus in George town, and it was horrible The best western inn was loud all night and the staff did nothing about it So with thing one being so quiet it was very nice, and I finally got some sleep on our tripMy mother also learned that this hotel is a family owned one, and i just wanted to say its 100% worth it and so nice Its a even distance between all my family members that live down there too So whenever my mom and I need to visit family down there we know where we will be staying from now on, right here at Taylor Village Inn and Suites!
