This was supposed to be a temporary place until we got back on our feet We’ve been here over a year now not realizing what I was going to happen during the covid My wife now has a job as soon as I can get another vehicle I have a job again we’ll be moving out

it’s not a bad place to live people gossip a lot some people been here for 15 years because it’s still living quarters it’s not a bad place to live but don’t want to stay here forever

The staff is very professional and caring The neighborhood is nice, close to shopping and dining It’s an older place, but in good condition

The pool his awesome!!As for service pets; both my daughters have a service pet, and both their service pets are very welcome here, with no issues Maintenance: when we first came here, there was an issues with out toilet not wanting to flush, a new toilet was immediately put in I was very surprised!! I thought they’d use a plumbing snake or something, but it was old, so they replaced it Also, they just put 4 new washers and 4 new dryers in, so laundry facility is always available I do recommend you try this establishment, at first I was unsure, but it’s been a nice experience I love that the range/stove is gas There’s a full kitchen, awesome pool, plenty of washers and dryers, and the management and staff are pretty awesome

Very disappointed in owner of business During the week the rates are very cheap for a working man The owner was nice to get his good reviews

When we checked in on Friday 8/24/22 it 7500 I asked for some help on price and he ignored me We stay there once are twice a week in a group of 20 are more These rooms are not worth it The pillows suck We have decided to take our money elsewhere

Do not stay here Very run down Our room had a broken window with painter’s tape covering it

The front door to the room did not seal properly, allowing bugs and the elements to get in The bottom of the bathroom door was molding and dry rotten The only good thing about it was that it was a place to lay my headalbeit next to the cigarette hole in the bed comforter

To put it lightly these people were very unprofessional I travel around the United States for work and I stay at many different motels; Econolodge by far is one of the worst Of the many problems this place had the biggest was how they scammed me a day In which I paid for

I arrived on a Sunday and I paid for a week in advance (my stay in this town was a month) the following Saturday I receive loud knocks on my door saying that I need to pay for another week I work night shift so I was asleep at the time When I went to go talk to the owner he said that my week was up because “the computer says so” despite me showing enormous evidence that my week wasn’t up: I shouldn’t have even needed to argue this if he had half a memory Another problem way that every time I conversed with him since I checked in he was nothing but rude, this man and his wife think that they can talk to people the way they want They also denied me towels because I didn’t wanna revive room service cause I’d be asleep during the day They had filthy mattresses and blankets; the fact this man has the audacity to talk to people the way he wants while running a motel like this was ridiculous The only reason this was not a 0/10 instead of a 2/10 was because at the very least the room service people were polite when I spoke to them At the time of my departure I spoke to a couple of the room service people while packing my things; they say that they get a lot of complaints about the owners and I’m their words “yea, they been doing people dirty” We need this place inspected for business practices cause this was absolutely not a good experience I’d highly recommend the motel next door, they were very polite

5 STAR Review!!! Hilton Garden Inn made my son’s Wedding Weekend the very best When I arrived, I was greeted by San Juana who knew who I was and the 12+ Rooms we had all reserved all on the same top floor as I requested She was a total professional and greeted me with exceptional customer service, care, and concern in checking me in as rooms were becoming available as my family parties arrived

Abby (special events manager) who I had spoken by phone allowed us to place our rehearsal cake and cookies in the restaurant refrigerator while we decorated the venue for the rehearsal dinner Austin who continued to check in more of my family as they arrived was flawless and extremely professional and caring, all with a smile Linda (restaurant manager) who was so caring and concerned and went beyond the call, assisted my sister-in-law with repairing our rehearsal dinner cake where the decorative roses had fallen off the side a 6 layered round cake All in a team effort, San Juana, Austin, and Linda made our entire wedding weekend stay made my family feel welcomed, cared for, and made our hotel stay as we were the only guests staying there I have not felt that special as a VIP in sometime The hotel staff was Exceptional and deserve Recognition and Accolades for a job very well done Thank you so much for making my son’s wedding weekend accommodations for our large family a complete success My family came as guests, but we left as friends Thanks Again for the wonderful warm hospitality, your care and concern All the Best!!! Well maintained place and great property The staff is amazing! And welcomed us and our entire party with true hospitality! Big shout out to Pearl, Alma, Austin, Trey, and the entire front desk and F/B staff for the great service! (Sorry to everyone we forgot names of) We are in the business and know how hard your job is, and keeping a smile is everything

We will be back! Cheers

The hotel is within walking distance of the hospital, several restaurants, and CVS as well as a very short drive to the mall and grocery storeThe rooms are nicely done and very comfortable, though I found the beds to be a bit hard There is a microwave, mini-fridge, and coffee maker (K-cup)

The breakfast is pretty good You can get eggs to order, as well, as french toast or pancakes They also offer several other hot items on the buffet, breads (the muffins were very moist and delicious), fruit, yogurt, juice, coffee, and tea among a few other itemsOverall the hotel is very nice There are several areas around the hotel to enjoy outdoor seating, however keep in mind you will have to share the space with the smokers

I chose this hotel because it’s close to the hospital Since, we have been here, the staff has been amazing They are extremely kind, hospitable, and accommodating

The first room that I was given was dusty, the bed was halfway fixed, and the floor hadn’t been vaccumed The clerk immediately assigned me another room that was cleaner The pool was inoperable and I wished that the website had specified that before I made the reservation online, other than those two things, we had a great stay

Kurt McCullough

We travel alot ALOT! This was our second stay at this location As a IHG member I was not pleased

From our latest experience 22/24 April 22 I know the barking dog on the 3rd floor wasn’t your fault but it was still bothersome The only functioning ice machine is on the first floor The others have been outa order for how long? We were here last 19/20 Mar 22, same situation The only ice machine is filthy Our room was not bad other than the the bottom of the shower is going to fall apart due to water damage Room 318 The AC was leaking on the 3rd floor in the hallway The answer was a trashcan underneath the leak Guests were also using the makeshift water control system for trash mitigation Great combination dont you think? Finally You have a indoor pool that isn’t working It hasn’t been working for a very long time The price I paid doesn’t represent what I received for my money The staff we had interactions with were all very Central Texas Friendly and handled the dog situation very well The lack of access to pool/hot tub, ice machine and water damage are a sign of poor maintenance which is a management issue Unfortunately we can not recommend this property to others See pics belowPlotted Scouts Out

The guy at the desk tried to charge me double what it said online, so I booked it online He then made me wait 30 minutes to check in because I booked it online even though it showed up in his computer already I woke up to a cockroach crawling across my face in the middle of the night

There were 4 more in the shower in the morning I notified the front desk the receptionist said I was the forth person that day complaining about cockroaches No refund offered No apology So unfortunate to see businesses ran like this and no effort to make it right I will update my review if this issue is alleviated

Marcy Smith

We come to Temple to visit family and basically need a place to stay, nothing fancy but reasonable and clean

We’ve stayed at Super 8 and they are in disrepair found this on Hopper Reviews were hopeful It’s acceptable, clean we’re spots on furniture cigarette burn in bedspread in non smoking roomand It’s clean, smells clean and appointed nicely Perfect for what we needed We’ll be back the piece is right!! Thanks!

Christina King-Burns

Haha Somehow I actually got a good room

but no breakfast even though multiple websites say there is breakfast The man said only on the weekends That’s not what I paid for So if you are hungry in the morning like me, please go somewhere else that actually has breakfastand not just the weekends (supposedly, desk person told me) but daily

A nice clean room Decent hot breakfast Pool isn’t open

No shampoo provided Asked front desk for some, & they explained they are out and must adhere to “brand standards,” that they cannot simply just put any shampoo in the room to replace unavailable shortages No accommodation was provided No alternative offered This was a sub-par customer service experience at an otherwise well run hotel, especially given the price includes such amenities as soap, shampoo, & a pool Too bad my experience wasn’t perfect

Jamie Slaughter

Arrived at 2:30am on a Sunday morning Had already stopped at 3 other hotels No vacancy

The night desk attendant (maleI failed to get his name) was sooo nice & accommodating He was advised that we were Diamond Select members & immediately went into action to insure I was placed in a room Best Western is our choice hotel, but, not being familiar with Temple, I did not know that it was so close to my target destination Kudos to the night desk clerk

Everything was great! The staff was knowledgeable, helpful & friendly The place was very clean & nice The only complaint would be the hard furniture

The beds & couch was super firm It was uncomfortable & we kept tossing/turning throughout the night The towels were stiff too I would definitely stay there again but I’d probably bring a foam mattress topper

Luis Venegas

Hotel is clean and modern Elevator was hot since there is no AC in there Breakfast was very limited

Attendant wasn’t on top of making sure food was stocked as guests were getting Basic cereal, fruit, make your own waffles (“best” part of breakfast) I did not like that my room had a door that was shared with the room next door to us Keep in mind we we’re not together so it was a total stranger next door They had a dog so I was able to hear the barking from the room next door which didn’t allow much sleep Heard them at night while they were doing their private stuff so it was very uncomfortable The front desk should have taken into consideration that we were not together so we wouldn’t want to hear all the commotion next door

ShesaMonkey

CUSTOMER SERVICE was Texas on point! Not only were they courteous, smiling, and constantly cleaning, but they were attentive to the hotel patrons needs The rooms were quiet, exceptionally clean, spacious, & stocked with ample amenities to make you feel like you were at home The sparkling clean pool was small but never felt that way

It was lit up with decorative hanging lights and had bbq’s (that we didn’t use) There was also a small dog park (pets allowed) & relaxing smoking area in the front of the hotel The BEST part was the FATTY breakfasts in the morning, & hot chocolate at nightTHANK YOU Hilton & your AH-MAZING staff It’s a “moving” stay well never forget 🙏 💙

Alright so we booked this place on a travel site The reviews on the site were great but looking at the reviews just looking it up were horrible Now i have to say our stay was wonderful! The staff was very accommodating

The cleaning crew were so sweet and helped with any needs we had They do have a curview in the office but even showing up close to midnight they were able to give me extra pillows and a sheet from the office We had no complaints and would definitely stay again

mikel henson

I’m not sure we’re these good reviews are coming from The lady at the front was the rudest person I’ve ever met at check in straight Karen didn’t get her name but she was working at approximately 3:30 pm July the 1st 2022 The room is filthy ants all over the bash room are killed several other types of insect Aswell

The lamp shades look like they have been in the home of a smoker for 50 years mattress and box springs covered in stains This place is disgusting

Julie Holladay

Several items in room had been broken, and some, such as the smoke detector were missing The tub and coffee pot had to be cleaned before using Breakfast was free, at least that’s what every site had said

they don’t offer breakfast nor do they have coffee in the office Top it off by charging almost $200 over what they quoted me at time of rental and the price on my receipt

Kirstie, at the bar, was seriously AMAZING

staying past her shift to make sure everyone was taken care of & all with a smile & great service The food was also tasty, with good portion sizes The manager stopped in & checked on everyone as well Honestly surprised by the level of service & “going the extra mile” We were visiting guests at the hotel, so we appreciated them not closing down at 9pm on a Saturday night! (Also, The guests said the beds were super comfy!)

Tim Wisener

360 bucks for two nights When I called they said 119 a night Everything from breakfast to the restaurant and bar is way over priced

6 bucks a beer This isn’t a beach side Hilton The suites consist of a basic hotel room king bed mini fridge bathroom, even asked if I was gonna need maid service Like r ally 185 a night and u try to skate out on giving me fresh towels and tidying my room Place is trash only nice thing here was the bartender herselfand the staff Since the owner wanted to reply to my review calling it not true I would also like to add, I get a another 300 dollar charge on my card and a call saying there was damage to the room , review is damn well true And totally accurate I’ve never had a desk clerk ask if I was going to need maid service during my stay 🤷 Ur rooms stink 760 bucks for two nights I’m getting in touch with my bank on this right now Crooks

As you’ll see in MANY reviews, the staff here are OUTSTANDING! If I was to run a hotel these are the people I would want to be running my daily operations They are kind, and eager to be helpful! The value here us great and the hot breakfast every morning is always nice to have The cinnamon rolls are too good yo pass up

Sure the elevator isn’t lightning fast but there’s only 3 floors so really it’s a moot point The outside pool area is such a fantastic place to hang out with your morning coffee or evening beer Downtown is just a 2 minute drive away and only a few minutes to any of the larger neighboring towns This central location is great for those wanting to explore different towns and activities Again the staff will be happy to tell you what’s going on in the area They truly are the reason this place is a 5 star!

Wonderful experience! I stayed here for a month while working in town and it was such a pleasant time The GM Jessica was exemplary and her staff was attentive and kind Being as particular as I am, they served my request with professionalism and kindness

The rooms are spacious and clean It was a joy every morning or evening to greet them as I left/returned to/from work The complementary breakfast was good with some of the best coffee preparedThough there isn’t anything nearby within walking distance, one of the perks staying there is seeing the deer roam on the grounds in the early morning or at dusk Holiday Inn has up’d their game over the years and the Solado location and it’s staff represents the chain with quality service Thank you Jessica and the staff, the CL team will miss you

OTHER THAN THE SUPERIOR STAFF, this was the definition of averageThe staff bumped it up, the lack of parking due to the semis, trucks, truck and trailer combos taking up half or more of the parking knocked it back down There are better Marriott properties

There may be better Marriott employees, but I don’t travel a lot5 stars to the staff here Pay attention Marriott, and read above We like to be kind, they were even better and understanding2 stars for the room at that price1 star or less on the parking Work a deal with the neighbors at Wendy’sAgain, kudos to the staff here I imagine they take a ton of flak For what we paid for that room, they deserve raisesWe had to parallel park on the back wall due to a recommendation from an employee Our car was neither damaged nor WORSE, towed Said he had to do it all the timeThank you sir

We arrived to check in at 8:05 PM and the front desk worker, DJ, was unable to check us in and he needed to find the manager He left the front desk for about 15 minutes, returned unable to find the manager and left We stayed in the lobby and I called the toll-free customer service

All the representative was “able “to do was give me the number of the local hotel Which did no good because the phone was ringing off the hook and nobody was there to answer it The customer service representative was unable or unwilling to forward my call to anybody else Fortunately a worker who was scheduled to start working at midnight showed up at 8:55 PM and initially told us there were no rooms available Our reservations were made two months prior, which he could see on his computer screen He did manage to find a room and the only saving grace is that the room was perfect The customer service at this branch is despicable!

Wonderful experience, professionalism and enthusiasm of staff Special thanks to Lupa’She was excellent, attentive, and went to extraordinary measures during a very challenging time for our stayShe should be commended for her work ethics
