This location is a good example of a classic Hilton Nice clean room Hot shower

nice sized TV Beds are always a little too firm but overall a nice placeGood breakfast Location is far enough away from the street to have no traffic noise Right next to Sonic for some quick snacksAbsolutely worth a stay if you’re in the area

My hotel experience here was fun everything was working and everything was working and everything was clean The staff were friendly and hopeful when needed This is a very busy hotel

It’s pretty much the only and best choice in the whole area so hence the traffic There are plenty of restaurants nearby and shopping The location of the pool gives it pretty much full sun from sun up till sundown I would recommend staying here again if you’re in the area

We had a pleasant experience The room was clean and the beds were really plush(topper) and made it easy to fall asleep The breakfast was hot and ready which is one of only 2 reasons why we picked here

They had eggs (covered in cheese), sausage, ham or bacon (usually one meat), waffle maker, cereal, milk, granola, oat meal, muffins, orange juice, apple juice, etc Just about all the things you could expect to have The hotel staff was pleasant to deal with (checking in, during our entire stay, and while leaving) They are a pet friendly establishment which is the 2nd reason we chose to stay here There is plenty of grass in the back for the puppy to walk around This hotel is right next to Academy, which is great for me And right behind several food places, (taco bell, sonic, waffle house and several others) Great location Thank yall!

The staff was nice It has the potential to be super nice, but needs more work They are remodeling so the 1st, 3rd and 4th floors are closed, so you would think the 2nd floor rooms would be spotless

They were not Our room was clean at first glance The countertops were dirty, the refrigerator was a little dirty, the curtains were dirty, and the shower was dirty The toilet seat was wiggly and needed to be tightened Overall an ok experience

Rochelle Henson

Great hotel to stay in It’s in a quiet location Hidden gem across the Sunshine Bridge

The rooms and staff were great Our favorite employee was Tanya She did a great job when cleaning our room and she was very friendly My girls loved talking to her They’re working on getting a game room I wish we could’ve been there when it was done The only thing I’d comment on is the lack of trash cans in the rooms Other than that we loved our three week stay and would definitely recommend staying here

I tried to sleep with a mask on due to Hotel smelling like mildew The hotel appears to be under construction and there is only coffee available for breakfast There is another hotel close by and a Waffle House so if you don’t get sick from inhaling mildew eat at Waffle House

Still the same issue with side/back door not closing allowing anyone to walk in unseen by front desk My room door was very loose The tub looks uncleaned and run down I’ve slept in a armored truck in Japan in the field training as a Marine and I much rather sleep in my truck Was a disappointing stay You are probably wondering why I didn’t just leave and sleep elsewhere My girlfriend was dead set on booking a room

Could not be happierSure, there are minor items that aren’t PERFECT but neither is my own houseThe staff is friendly and kind

The beds are great The place is very clean The location is perfect for access to my jobs while in LouisianaSurrounded by restaurants and grocery stores and shoppingI work on the road This is one of my new favorite spots

Education Central

Went in to see the vibe Was planning to coordinate an event with my church band As soon as I walked in towards the bathroom I was immediately hassled “ let me see your room key

The Indian/Pakistani lady cried out I told her I needed to use the restroom and she again yelled out in a state of panic no public access Seriously? Maybe you shouldn’t let this person take care of customer relations Totally prejudice I was sweaty wearing a hoodie and sunglasses because I’m very sensitive to sunlight This has been on my mind for weeks There is a much larger hotel next door I went in to check the vibe there and my god they were nice they let me use the restroom and the cleaning lady was so sweet I’m booking a two week stay there If you want to do business with people who judge you and live in a constant state of fear , by all means stay at this barely operable facility You are better off hiring the grounds keeper to run the front desk Let that nervous lady pick up the trash outside that would be better for business She has one single ounce of authority and totally abused it

Inspite of the below mentioned shortcomings I am changing my rating from 2 to 4 starsThe hurricane repair work had not been halted Instead it continued so unobtrusively and quietly that one does not realize that it is ongoing

The property was very clean including the groundsThe bed was VERY comfortableThe facilities inside the hotel were up to date and very niceThe staff, particularly housekeeping and desk were professional, courteous, and I never had to wait on anything I neededOverall, this property would get 5 stars from me The issues remaining are being addressed and I will stay here in the futureVery expensive for a hotel in the South with no pool (Pool is closed) Apparently hurricane repairs were halted before completion)I believe the prices are, similar to other hotels in the area, the result of gouging the oil companies who have to put their employees up somewhereHotel employees were really great

Stayed here often over the years as family in Theriot Due to hurricane Ida damages they are still remodeling but our room was awesome!! Friendly, kind and helpful staffWe didn’t like it Because the elevator wasn’t working and climbing the stairs was not my favorite thing to do at 80

But sometimes we have to face a few disadvantages to have the best otherwise

Sam

I read other reviews and i see just about the same trend They just open and charge $218 a night plus taxes it comes to $256 No cafeteria so no breakfast, elevator still down, walked all the way to the end of the building to walk up the steps (no stairs at the front) and the key did not work on the room lock

Had to walk back down because the elevator still not operating, very dirty inside and out, rooms have paper tags for numbers If the facility is not to par for full price, it is an embarrassment to Hilton to open a hotel and charge full price with half the amenities still down It is like going to Disney World and pay a full price and half the rides are under repairs Seem Hilton does not care about the reviews since they still operating under the same conditions, the why the facility is as up to now, this will be a $6995 a night Hotel (or Motel for that matter) I wonder why the city allows Hilton to operate under these conditionsHilton answer and they are sorry about the bad experience and asked me to contact them I don’t know why!! The review and complaint are very specific about the issues and concerns Hilton just want to answer to show they read the reviews but non of the answers they provide express what they are doing about the reported issues Hilton,if you are really concerned about the complaints, write and tell us what you are doing about them, don’t just say you are sorry about the bad experience

I’ll preface this review by saying that the staff members were incredibly nice and hospitable The breakfast was awesome and the location of the hotel is great There was an issue with the hallways during our stay

The lobby and rooms were climate controlled, but there was minimal to zero airflow in the hallways They were muggy and hot Incredibly uncomfortable experience that did not change over the 4 days we were here Also, while this experience was unique to my room from our group of 5 rooms, my electronic deadbolt wouldn’t engage I could lock the door at night from the inside, but once I left the room, I had no way to secure my room and anyone from the hallway could have easily accessed my items by simply opening the door I brought this need to the attend of the hotel maintenance team and the GM, but it was not resolved over my 4 day stay We were also never offered the opportunity to change rooms and only received updates on the repair’s progress if we asked the front desk We really love this hotel, but this most recent stay left much more to be desired for $170/night

Excellent hotel, extremely clean Danny checked us in and out the next day She was amazing

She went above and beyond She is definitely a huge asset to this hotel location and to the Hilton Hotles family I was able to observe her with other customers and she treated them just as good as she treated me and my daughter We will definitely be visiting again Rooms were very clean Breakfast was amazing and there were so many options I cannot wait to come back to Houma and stay at the Homewood

Nice hotel with friendly staff Large room and comfortable bed All of the major items are checked off

Hotel really needs a refurb My TV was broken Computer chair was very wobbly and sat leaning to one side Carpet was stained and sticky (not just in the stained area There is mold growing in the shower On the side the headboard of the bed is all scratched up and for a $200 plus room they need to pay closer attention to finer details The Wednesday night social was very nice and the breakfast had the best flavor or just about any hotel breakfast that I have had
