It was a 3 star hotel,so everything was spacious After we checked in, we went out and returned around 10pm ready to turn in

My son while using the rest room found the flush is kind of struck Once flushed u need to wait for another 10 min before water gets filled While trying to call front desk found that extension is not working at all We were offered another room in the same floor, but it was not fun doing all shifting so late in the night Basic need to be verified and maintained, else what is the point of paying extra bugs for a 3 star hotel?

Everything is wrong with this hotel, the owner needs to step it up and start spending funds where they need to be spent, the hot tub hasn’t worked for months according to the reviews online I wasn’t expecting hot tub to still be broken 4 months later The beds are horrific, uncomfortable, cheap, wouldn’t want to ever experience metal Springs in my back again/ hip and back pain I’m sure the owner has a nice memory foam mattress at home, while the customers are sleeping on garbage

Almost $200 a night for a bed that you can’t even sleep comfortably on is ridiculous and unethical Someone really needs to come into this hotel and do some type of wellness check maybe even contact the Better Business Bureau The breakfast eggs are synthetic and the sausage is so soggy greasy horribly textured and unedible Food in general was terrible The Only Thing Worth eating were the waffles and cereal Upon arrival of the breakfast in the morning no syrup no waffle mix, cereal containers were almost empty Not enough variety of healthy fruits and yogurts No towels were available in the gym or the pool area We had to call several times during our stay because they would bring 3-4 towels at a time, stop being irresponsible and take care of your guests Also Gym was dirty, the water dispenser is broken does not dispense cold water and is leaking dirty moldy water all over the floor After booking a handicap disabled room and made the staff aware I have a service dog for my disabilities my service dog was checked-in by a “manager” At check-out we were questioned regarding my dog and I showed registered service dog ID again, I felt an explanation was ridiculous upon checkout And the girl who checked us out complained about the manager, owner and staff which was pretty unprofessional This would be a beautiful hotel if the owner wasn’t cheap and gave attention to detail So many rips and tears in the hallway carpet they patched it up and did a terrible job Public washrooms need near the pool needed serious detailing very dirty Not a very pleasant birthday to remember, I had reservations for 2 rooms Reservations over the phone quoted me to queen size beds with a sofa sleeper, we were given to queen size beds in each room no sofa sleeper This weekend was a waste of time and money After writing this Google review hotel management added $100 to my bill 4 days after my stay accusing first my dog and then my children of peeing in the bed, then it went from the bed to it was just pillow that was thrown away had a stain Children are from ages 11 to 12 years old and do not pee in bed I’m pretty sure it was a juice box that spilled Be careful not to spill anything in the rooms or on the bed or you will be charged $100 service fee

We enjoyed our stay at the Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Elk Grove Village/ItascaIt is conveniently located near I-290, less than 10 minutes from the village center of Elk Grove Village with its restaurants/shopping/library/services It is also a just-under-ten-minute drive north to Woodfield Mall and all kinds of restaurants and shopping in that area

The hotel had nice rooms, comfortable beds, and a friendly staff We asked for a room in a quiet area of the hotel and they were very nice about this It was very quiet and I didn’t hear any noise that night or in the morning Thank you for a wonderful weekend getaway!

This has been the most family friendly hotel we have stayed in a long time The front desk host was on her own and it was busy We arrived and our room was not quite ready as the lobby was full of people coming and going

It was the first and last weekend of doing break for schools in our area We were on our first weekend staying so we were relaxed no rush The manager took our bags the kids changed in the pool area and went swimming while our room was being prepared They brought our luggage to our room and brought my keys to me in the pool My son made a buddy in 5 mins and my daughter and I got to hang out The pool was so warm we actually asked if they could turn the heat down which is usually not the case and as an adult you end up fighting for space and trying not to get splashed in the hot tub This was so warm and clean towels were always restocked My so And his friend went “exploring” as did about 25 other boys all night until about 11pm They had so much fun walking the halls and sitting in the lobby playing on their phones together Breakfast was supposed to from 7am-10am the next morning but at 11am there was still no rush to close down the breakfast room and coffee, tea, milk juice, and whatever food (hot breakfast not just a continental) was still left was available for guests I called to ask for late check out and rather than 1 hour they offered me 2 extra hours since I had been delayed at check in It’s rare to find good customer service anymore and when I find it I patron as often as it fits my need This will be our go to hotel for the close to home weekend swim getaway next winter FOR SURE!!

Front desk employees were very friendly However, when I pulled the blankets back for my son to go to bed there were hairs all over the sheets There was a cup on the floor between the bed and nightstand with some kind of liquid in it, carpet was dirty, toiletries were not stocked

The shower and sink drained very slowly making it difficult to do what we needed without causing a flood The small shop by the lobby only had power aide, tea and sodas And breakfast, well what was there was awful Nothing was refilled in the 30 minutes we sat there except for biscuits The man working the area was extremely friendly but the food was pretty much empty and it was 830 am I was very disappointed with this hotel Won’t be staying there again

lisa rose

Clean, except 1st floor bathroom commodes out of order King bed suite with 1 twin beds spacious and offers some privacy but door between King bedroom and main room has too to bottom glass Wish kitchenette was bigger (full size fridge/would be better)

Appreciate separate heat/cool for two rooms Pattern on bath floor makes it look dirty No specified pet area but plenty of grass area behind hotel Several choices for breakfast

My flight was canceled so United airlines gave me a voucher to stay there When I got there the lady was overwhelmed at the front desk asked if I had a reservation and told her that the airline had sent me with this voucher She told me they should’ve checked because the hotel was full and nothing was available

After waiting more than an hour she said she could help me because they have extra rooms which she charged to my American Express Later much later when I got into the room I felt like I had been taken and decided to check out immediately She then told me it was my fault because I did have a reservation I didn’t tell her She said telling her that the airline had sent me didn’t explain anything Then she didn’t know how to reverse my American Express charge and when she found my reservation she kept on saying she would take care of it meaning make me pay for something the airline was already doing The lady even asked me to buy her a couple cheeseburgers which I did while she was trying to help out Worse experience I’ve ever had at any hotel abroad or at home in the states I will check next week to be sure they refund my American Express cardif the airport sends you there make sure they take the voucher and don’t put up with any attitude, The lady was absolutely awful Now I am back at the airport sitting on a bench but it’s better than paying that hotel I feel

Strike 1 – The man at the front desk was not very accommodating We were traveling with our family of 6 We asked for more towels when we checked in and were told that housekeeping was gone for the day

Not true because we discovered she was still there Security ended up helping us get towels and the proper bedding for the couch bedStrike 2 – NO Continental breakfast We have been traveling for 3 days from San Antonio Texarkana has a breakfast, free Paducah, KY again has a continental breakfast Chicago hasBurger Theory What theWhy cant they all be consistent!! This is the reason we chose to stay at Holiday Inn’s on our entire 3 week vacation Now reconsideringStrike 3 – No Shampoo, Conditioner, and Body Gel in the shower like the previous 2 hotels we stayed in Just the tiny bottles on the sink We pay more to stay in the better hotels for better accommodations and service This hotel needs to discount their price for not having those amenitiesOn the Plus side – We did have a great time in the pool which was open until 11pm and the rooms were cleanFYI – The ceiling are very low Tall people (above about 6′ 3″) stay elsewhere

For me, I’m happy with the hotel I grab a coffee in the morning but that’s about it I don’t eat anything (or haven’t yet) or partaken in any happy hour (yet) but that’s mostly because I work in the evenings or go out with coworkers for dinner

Mornings are early to work so it’s coffee for the road and coffee at the office Ha ha ha Sooo many places to eat and some really outstanding places if you know someone who knows something about the area

Emily C

Great little room It was a good size for one person, but not really for two The only complaints I have were the coffee maker splattered everywhere when brewing and it was a huge mess; also the mini fridge wouldnt even hold my left overs from the night before, and there was no microwave to warm them in the room

Seems like a nice place but the little touches seem to be lacking slightly

Stephen Foster

Recently renovated and the renovation was done very well! The AC worked well and the shower had good hot and cold water Perfect location to many restaurants in walking distance The staff was very accommodating and helpful with everything

The hotel has a very good sized conference room that could easily handle 20-25 people I’ll definitely book here again when I come back

About average for a Hampton, which still means it’s a very good hotel The hotel is approaching 20 years old and needs renovation, but it’s still mostly clean and in good shape although shower pressure wasn’t great We had to move rooms due to an awful vibration in the floor (maybe elevator equipment) and they upgraded us to a very spacious studio suite which I’d highly recommend

The pool was nice (no whirlpool) and breakfast was as expected Service was friendly but staff always seemed to be in the back office Overall recommended and we will be back

This hotel is close to our office Hotel was clean and everyone was friendly The bed was comfortable

The bathroom is a bit small but still perfectly fine I guess if you were going to spend a good amount of time in the room then you may want a bigger space It is nice to be able to get a Starbucks in the lobby in the morning Definitely recommend if you’re looking to stay in the Schaumburg area

Jonathan Bearden

This is a nice business centered hotel All the rooms are consistently nice, clean and quiet Their manager, Linsey, is great and has taken care of our team any time any inconvenience has arisen

They just reintroduced nightly appetizers in the lounge (huge plus), breakfast is buffet is better than most, and Violet in the lounge is amazingly friendly She always makes us feel welcomed

Jennifer Ratos

Annemarie at the front desk completely made our whole night We visited an earlier hotel where the pool was closed (only reason we came, for kids to swim) and it was nowhere marked on their website They would not refund our night either

(Hyatt Place Chicago- Schaumburg) $170 loss 🤷🏼‍♀️😡😫When we walked in this Marriott, we were greeted with such a loving, positive smile from Annemarie! That turned our night around She was so kind and took great care of us with an easy check in, great pricing and great service! Thank you again, Annemarie! This girl needs a promotion!! 🥰 She’s a Keeper!

There was no soap in the shower or bathroom We booked this location to use the pool as we are visiting family and have young children The pool was absolutely freezing

Our kids were blue and teeth chattering after 10 minutes Ice maker was broke and breakfast selection was not the best The room we got was a suit but very small Not the best experience at a holiday inn Express

Stephen Webbb

From the moment we drove in the parking lot, we knew it was a hotel unlike any other HIE The parking lot was in bad shape, with pot holes all over the place, and that poor condition of the facilities continued inside The first floor hallway smelled like mildew and must, and our room was always uncomfortably humid, regardless of the A/C setting

While the staff was friendly and breakfast was good, there really wasn’t anything else good about the accommodations

Amal Patel

Where do I begin? Check-in was at 3pm and we arrived at 4:30pm Our rooms were not ready until 6pmThe staff was nice but unfortunately, when our rooms became available, were still incomplete

No tissue paper nor hand soap were in our room Bathrooms in all three rooms were close to filthy The paint on the walls were peeled off, and the window sills dustyThe double rooms have modern TVs and a clear picture However, the king rooms were outdatedThe next morning, we saw that there were many options for breakfast However, the breakfast area was not well-kept as there was trash overflowing from the garbage cans and floor wasn’t vacuumed The food wasn’t being restocked, as bread and bagels were out of stock In addition, the pancake maker was out of order!Maybe it was just a bad day/night but we just expected more from a Holiday Inn & Suites

Do not stay at this hotelI travel a LOT and I’m a Hilton diamond member This is the worst hotel I’ve stayed at in over 9 years

NONE of the gym equipment works It is all broken They gym is extremely small for what I consider Hilton Garden Inn standards I’ve seen Hampton Inns with bigger facilitiesMy asked to see the manager about the equipment all being broken I was told she is only there a couple of days a week and when she is there it is only from 9-2 This makes it difficult to have a conversation with her as someone there on a business tripAdditionally, my room smelled I figured out on the last day of my trip that the AC unit was leaking water into the floor/carpet I’m fairly certain this was causing mold to grow and creating the smellI will be in this area for the next 6 weeks My team will not be staying at this hotel for the remainder of this trip

Crystal Jensen

So I dealt with Laurie this morning and McKenna the other day and let me tell you the customer service I received from both have been absolutely amazing! They have made me excited for my upcoming stay Thank you ladies for your amazing hospitality!Update- I think I have pretty much dealt with almost everyone at the front desk now lol McKenna, Laurie, Charli, Hanson, Sara (please excuse spelling) they truly make you feel like family here!!! I honestly can’t say enough amazing things about this place and the staff here! This will be my new home away from home! (Sorry guys your now earned yourselves a forever guest, your stuck with me lol)

This hotel is great Staff is very friendly My family and I loved the lobby it was very accommodating and we all felt comfortable while visiting

Probably best the best lobby I’ve seen in a hotel at this price range Looks are deceiving when we first pulled up the exterior does not look nearly as nice as the interior Will definitely stay here again when needing a hotel in the area Also very clean… we will not stay at hotels that aren’t clean Overall very happy with our stay

Rich Hmself

Overall it wasn’t too bad With it being pet friendly you can certainly tell that they haven’t fixed any furniture destroyed by pets The bed had what look like pee stains so they just flipped the mattress over, the wife and me layer extra towels down to sleep

The other complaint I have is I was staying here the day before a wedding and when I went to iron my shirt the iron has never been cleaned so it stained my shirtSo to summarize I’d say yeah stay here if you need something cheap and quick but don’t expect too much as it’s clear they are overlooking certain aspect of cleaning

Michael McCrory

Lloyd is a perfect example of excellent hospitality From check in to check out he was one of the best I have dealt with in the hotel industry I have traveled the world and it is such a pleasure to meet such a gentleman that takes pride in his job

He is an asset to Courtyard Marriott Look forward to seeing him and staying at the Marriott in August for a week when I am back in the area for work

Even though I’m currently still here, I’m gonna write about the experience so far I was the pain in the butt guest, changing our reservations & asking a million questions Annette at the front desk was super nice & very helpful

We get to our room and it was a pleasant surprise!! I had my doubts but I was proven wrong Our room was clean, I went and did laundry the night we got in and it was so nice & clean & I love that I can use my debit card to wash and dry clothes NO complaints and I’d recommend it to anyone

This hotel wasn’t part of my plans for life, but it did become an unexpected home for my familyI appreciate the cleanliness of the room and the hallways The family-like friendliness of the staff was above and beyond anything I could have hoped for – many thanks! Everyone working there deserves a raise AND a pizza party

I have to call out the amazing team here! Specifically, the GSR Selina and GM Brianna! They went above and beyond for myself and my daughter regarding our stay I haven’t had such great customer service on quite some time! We were going to change to a closer location, but after their help yesterday, I will just eat that extra 10 minutes of drive time Lol Great job, Ladies! Your excellent work is definitely seen and appreciated!

Quite disappointingGreat location but the condition of the hotel needs to be addressedHousekeeping has been cut in the names of “covid” but it’s needed more regularly

Our washroom was filthy, smelled bad, bathtub chipped and bad odorThe pull-out sofa /bed had no linens available – after 4 requests, it was brought over No body addressed the awful bathroom condition at allBreakfast on weekdays is not as nice as weekends and if you are vegetarian, you shouldn’t expect much

I have stayed here numerous times over the years as it’s close to family and easy access to the airport Understanding that COVID put financial pressure on these hospitality businesses but this hotel is in bad shapeThe carpet is very worn

There’s a bad odor as you walk in the side door and go up to the 2nd floorMany broken things in the room A broken toilet paper holder, broken shower tiles just to name a few The staff is friendly but they’re very overwhelmed It took me nearly an hour to get a set of bedding for the sofa bed and had to make multiple trips down to the desk as the poor woman who was working tried to keep up with checking people in, answering phones, etcThe area around the hotel is very depressed A defunct mall nearby, horrible roadways and dozens of closed businesses are a reflection of how bad it is in what once was a very nice areaWe will be staying at a different hotel for our future trips

If I could give it negative stars I would This hotel is terrible! One of the night shift employees st the front desk, Dulce, was so rude to me for no reason at all! I was asking for some clean towels and garbage bags and she spoke to me in a very rude and condescening way stating thatits against the policy to give me new towels after asking for my room number too She said I have to bring the dirty towels first to her even though ive been staying at the hotel for 2 weeks and none of the other staff has ever claimed it was against the policy! She was acting like I wasn’t staying at the hotel and was trying to steal her towels or something

She was very rude and unprofessional, ready to escalate a situation that should not be a problem The other staff is always so nice but this employee made me lower my rating even more I was placed in one room but after a week there, the neighboring suites shower broke and my room was flooded so I had to move to a different suite which was very annoying at the least and inconvenient too I was already upset because there’s white spiders in both rooms and every day I have to get rid of at least 5 spiders I asked to have them spray some insecticide or something to get rid of the spiders but whatever they are doing is not enough since they keep coming back There are cobwebs in every corner and I asked them to fix the kitchen sink but no one came in since it’s still not working properly I would never recommend this hotel and will not be staying here again

The staff and owner of this hotel were incredibly helpful and accommodating to my family during our visit We had friends and family from out of town gathering for a celebration of life ceremony and the hotel staff was so helpful in making our stay easy and comfortable They were extremely courteous and the owner, Max, went out of his way to assist my son in finding his lost gaming device

We found the hotel very clean We have stayed here on numerous occasions and will continue to do so in the future!

I loved this hotel We stayed here to be close to the baseball game at kane county cougars The staff all seemed kind and welcoming

I loved the benches outside the front where you can just chill and relax I felt safe and had absolutely no issues I’m sure if I had any issues they would have taken care of right away Great hotel I usually stay at choice hotel properties and this is one of the best that I’ve been too I’d come back again

We partnered with this hotel for a room block as we were getting married at Acquaviva in Maple Park We ultimately chose this hotel because they offered shuttles to and from the venue if a certain amount of rooms were blocked However, they never communicated to me when the discount code cut off date was

I had guests trying to book a few weeks before the wedding at higher rates When I contacted the hotel, the customer service I received was not accommodating Overall my guests seemed to enjoy their stay However there isn’t a hotel bar which is something to consider as well

I stayed at this hotel during our visit in IL I booked a three night stay After I checked in I went to look around and found out the hot tub was broken, the gym equipment was poor or half working, my room smelt like urine and dirty

The next morning they were out of breakfast at 800 am This was my worst experience ever I have stayed at Hampton’s before but will never stay at Hampton’s again after this experience If I could give a 0/5 stars I would DO NOT STAY HERE THIS IS YOUR WARNING!!!!!!

Karen Nogle

Our group of 10 had a wonderful experience with the staff and customer service Gabrielle at the front desk was extremely accommodating and made us feel like queens! Cortez handled our requests for assistance with our maintenance issues as well Our breakfasts were great each morning also

We were disappointed the pool and spa were not working, but understood Showerheads could use some updating – the water pressure isn’t the greatest Beds and pillows were fabulous! 🙂 Thanks to the crew for your hospitality!

Lillian Cabel Pfister

Horrible customer service Waited 20 minutes to get my room keys which I have no problem doing but the person at the desk never made eye contact with me… ?! Was chastised about not spraying vegetable oil on the waffle maker (insert eye roll) I witnessed another customer getting yelled at about the vegetable oil, as well as a friend staying in the hotel

I suggest the directions to make waffles is put in a more obvious place and in a font larger than size 12 And if I want to peel off my waffle and feed it to the two children I have with me please let me do so in peace Under the beds were FILTHY (cough drops, trash, food, a purse, etc) which just made me wonder about the cleanliness of the rest of the place Housekeeping knocked on our door an hour and a half before check out I love Hampton but NOT THIS ONE

I have been staying at this facility for over 2 years for work I often travel for work and this has been one of the best Hotels I have stayed at The rooms, common areas and gym are always super clean

The staff is professional, helpful and always friendly Over my stay the General manager Joanne, Anthony and Milly, and all other staff have always made sure to address any issues I might have They work as a team and make your feel like this is your home away from home My family has came to visit multiple times and my wife is amazed at how well this property is ran and how good the staff is I have personally recommended this hotel to at least 10 people, everyone who stays here for work always comes back to this hotel when they return to work due to the hospitality, cleanliness and customer service This is a 5 star hotel I would recommend this hotel to anyone in the area, as someone whom has stayed at 100+ different hotels and paid twice as much for half the service, you could not ask for more than this hotel has to offer

Lauren Kelly

Overall, I had a great experience at this location for the ten months I stayed there I loved the free laundry and spacious rooms, however, I did not like that the staff did not accommodate to me when I asked to move rooms – closer to the elevator – due to my arthritis starting to get bad They also allow trucks to take up two parking spaces which I think is absurd

Anthony, Abe, and Malachi were always very nice and took care of any issues I had Joann was very nice, but did give excuses as to why a room was being noisy; kids will be kids but parents need to be respectful of others too I never really spoke to Millie, but I did not appreciate the one week’s notice of room rates going up almost $20 per night nor the excuses for the trucks to take up more than one parking spot She suggested I also talk to my doctor about receiving a handicap placard, which is not her place to suggest in my opinion Like I said, overall, it was a decent experience, but I will spend the money at another Sonesta hotel

Natalie Taylor

I believe that this location is being used as a residence by some of the patrons It had more of a dorm type feel to it The staff were helpful but not hospitable

There was a smell when first walked in that I couldn’t put my finger on The rooms still have the eyehole that doesn’t have a cover on it Noise continued until about 3 am I wasn’t uneasy about being there, it just had a different feel to it I will not be back

This is by far the best quality inn motels I have ever stayed in! I have been to two other quality inn motels and they were horrible! This hotel has clean rooms, clean bathrooms and the beds were comfortable! The ONLY small complaint I have is the water pressure but other than that the temperature was phenomenal! When I went to check out I fixed myself a decaf coffee but they were out and they made me a fresh pot, beyond happy with my stay I definitely recommend this hotel! I don’t know if they have a laundry room or not but I do know they don’t have an elevator which is not a big deal since there are only two floors I will be staying here again! The mini fridge and microwave they have are also updated and big Love love love this place!

Great customer service from everyone The rooms are dated and need some more ways to charge the many devices most people have these days The AC is very quite which is awesome

Also the desktop is NOT in front of the AC system so you won’t freeze while you are working My understanding is that the refresh of the lobby is due soon but no mention of refreshing the roomsAsk for Ms Sheila she is awesome

Taylor Holloway

We had a block of rooms booked for our wedding here and the event manager Shannon truly went above and beyond to help my out of town guests get rooms booked and on the block, and helped with family who had more of a extended stay She alleviated so much stress from me the week of the wedding and would always get back to me in a timely manner If you are needing a block for out of town guest I highly recommend reaching out to Shannon

Thank you again!

Jodi Morse

The room was clean and the bed was comfy On the downside our shower drained very veryyy very slow, there is no mini fridge in the room and there is not a plug in on both sides of the bed Just one plug on one side

The ice machine on our floor (3rd floor) was also broken For what we paid to stay here we expected a bit more The front desk staff was friendly and the lobby/bar area was clean and nice
