Excellent hotel Staff makes it superb! Always friendly and welcoming! The hotel is autograph collection so it is expected to be top notchGreat Italian steakhouse restaurant on site, good size and very complete gym

Common areas are perfect, clean and fresh new designRooms are ample, comfortable, to rest and work Bathrooms are perfect and walk in shower is flawless Great water pressure and good space TV size might have been a miss for such great room But just being pickyThe speakeasy bar at the basement is fantastic It give you a feel of exclusivity Drinks are on higher end price but they are good Also keep in mind to make a reservation in advance, not only is it a speakeasy, it is very popular with guests and patrons from other hotels nearby So rarely will you allowed in with no reservation specially of you have a group of more than 2

Nice hotel in the heart of Downtown There is parking garage right beside it that is $12/night or free with your stay Scan your hotel card

Staff was friendly and the lobby restrooms were clean, warm on a cold day, and smelled of berries There is a steak restaurant that opens at 5 for dinner The room we stayed in had complimentary coffee and tea Beds were comfortable with nice pillows The shower head is great and gives you a nice, steamy shower

Cameron Statler

Hotel is clean and comfortable The restaurant has great tasting food and is pricey for what you get, but that is typically expected at hotels The bartenders were a breath of fresh air as they actually worked with a smile on their face and were engaging

Only downside to this hotel is the technology that they use for the TV’s Limited selection of apps and everything had to be streamed with chromecast

If you’re looking to take a large group or travel team to this hotel- I’d pass We were asked to leave the pool at 9:30 (they close at 10:00) We were also asked to leave the lobby while eating pizza at 9:30

We asked for a late checkout, but had housekeeping enter our room without knocking around 10:00am Not to mention, no alcohol can be consumed in the lobby I feel that some may prefer this, but as someone who prefers my pizza with a beer, I would have appreciated the notice

Draya and the front end manager offered amazing customer service All of the staff we encountered were nice and professional Our rooms were clean and my family of five slept comfortably for the weekend! They also offered one of the best free breakfasts we’ve had! Not to mention and overall nice facility! If you’re a large family staying in Wichita, I’d highly recommend

Dedhra Starr

If you decide to stay here and have an issue don’t expect the general manager Stephanie Sparlen or Head of housekeeping Ms Lorie to assist They will dismiss you when you call about staff not turning in items, they will hang up on you, they will make up details when Guest relations investigates and will down right lie

Pray you don’t have to encounter them

Just had one of the rudest encounters I have ever had with a hotel I have stayed at this hotel numerous times, even received a letter one year thanking me as one of their top ten customers, so I am so perplexed at how the General Manager Alex Malone treats top customers My plans changed last minute and I had to check out unexpectedly

It was 1:00pm when I asked to check out and he insisted that he had to charge me for the night Saying housekeeping could not get to the room The house keeper was right next to my room when I left I have also requested and received late checkouts from this establishment for 2:00pm in the past So why now can’t they accommodate? You do not treat your best customers this way I hope the owner sees this and sees that Alex Malone just lost thousands of dollars of business I already had reservations to come back to this hotel the next week Those reservations were cancelled and booked elsewhere before I got out of the parking lot!

I stay at Hampton Inn exclusively and this one was much more expensive plus the breakfast was awful “Scrambled egg” squares tasted like dish sponge Turkey sausage was raw and unseasoned

Waffles were not the usual Hampton Inn “malted vanilla” mix but some bucket of slop Tiny pool packed with people Plus, our night clerk was rude and didn’t want to get her freshly painted nails messed up Of course, our keys didn’t work, tooBut The hotel was clean and the bed was comfortable

Kevin Brady

I booked 2 rooms for 2 nights last weekend, roughly $800 I asked for room service at check in for both rooms on Saturday Upon returning to the rooms Saturday night we find that neither room was cleaned I went to the front desk to ask for New Towels and was bluntly told that they were out and nothing he could do about it

When I checked out on Sunday I asked for a discount and the front desk person said all they could do was offer points I said that was unacceptable and asked for the General Manager to give me a call I waited for a call for 4 days and finally called back this morning and again waited I called back again this afternoon and was able to talk to the GM He acted like he really didn’t care that I was dissatisfied and repeated the same offer of 2000 points for each room I have stayed at this property numerous times over the last few years but last weekend was the last time we will stay there

We had our daughters wedding reception here in the grand ballroom Tacha was amazing to work with! The staff were kind and so helpful They worked with our budget and ended up being less expensive than other places who didn’t provide any of the amenities that Holiday Inn did

The rooms were clean and we we more than pleased with everything!

Barbara Saunders-Jones

I was most happy to find an attached restaurant & bar I hate to drive all day and then have to drive to supper The place is large, with facilities for gatherings, etc

Beds were comfortable and rooms clean Desk staff could have been a bit more “engaged”; restaurant staff in the evening was excellent but breakfast staff were unorganized, forgetting simple things like butter for toast, etc The place is showing its age a bit, but the closeness to the Interstate is perhaps its best feature

I waited to write this review because I have no clue what to say When we got there, there was a man that was sketchy in the lobby Receptionist said the cops were coming because he doesn’t stay there and was found in a room that wasn’t his

A couple in our party said that he asked them to help him get into a room It was just an unsettling situation Receptionist said the sketchy hotel across street breeds strange people who wander over If you want a good read check out their reviews Just seemed semi unsafe place to stay The jacuzzi and pool were nice Although we had to go find someone and ask for towels, twice And free laundry on the 4th floor That was really nice to dry the suites Breakfast was really good Airplanes go overhead constantly which is a tad loud It wasn’t my favorite place we stayed But if you need a quick sleep and room, it’s ok

Athena Goddard

Was charged 3 times for my room and am still waiting on one of the refunds! The manager was absolutely hideous to me when I went to front desk to show them on my banking app were they had double charged me and so had priceline for the room! HE YELLED AT ME and BURADED me in front of everyone, he actually made me cry! Never in my life have I ever been so embarrassed and irrate ! THERE MESSUP not mine!

Bit old property but still in good shape It was closest to my customer so decided to stay for a nightBeds were comfortable and room was overall clean

Chose this location as I knew I’d be tired on arrival and wanted easy access to a restaurant and the highway Check in went smoothly and as expected My room appeared clean although I discovered pieces of candy and food under the desk making me question how hard they worked to clean and sanitize the room

Extremely strange was the fact that for my “convenience” I needed to go downstairs to the lobby if I wanted a drinking glass (see image) Additionally the drain in the bathtub wouldn’t stay open meaning you needed to finish your shower before the tub filled up Small things but I do expect not to go searching for a plastic glass in the lobby

Nayeli ibarra-rainey

Loved the stay here! I checked for dirty places or linen before making myself comfortable Everything was amazing! Everyone was awesome The older gentleman working the cafeteria on the weekends was amazing and very helpful

I didn’t catch his name 😔 I put 5 stars for mostly everything and very well deserved except, when I asked the cleaning lady in Spanish if she could put some clean towels and refill the shower gel in the room while they were cleaning the rooms and responded with “yeah ok I will!” Gracefully even repeated the room number! When we got back in the room that night, she didn’t do what she said she was going to do! I hope she just forgot the room number! I’ll give her the benefit of the doubt I guess 😒 Stayed 3 nights! They sure do great ignoring the room when it has the DO NOT DISTURB sign! ☺😅 Wichita was great!oh gotta recommend the SALTGRASS steak house! The cheese cake was like no other! Trust me!!! Also the Popcorner was a delight! And the Casino was Amazing! We won $200 🤙

I am extremely OCD about cleanliness & I expect my room to be updated in style & wear & tear!I read the reviews to be honest a few that made me nervous but we was only staying one night & it was close to the wedding we were attending so we booked it!I was pleasantly impressed! When we came in they were busy a gentleman said we will be right with you, please help yourself to a cookie & a drink! Once the young lady got off the computer & was helping get the other guest what he was asking about, he jumped in and got us checked in made conversation w/ us as he checked us in! Very friendly , I wish I had paid attention to his name! So he could know how much we appreciated him making us feel welcomed! We got to our room, it was extremely clean considering we asked for a early check in, to get ready for the wedding we were attending!! The furnishings were nice and carpet was stain free and clean as well We are looking forward to breakfast in the morning before we head out for our 6 hour drive home It’s a bonus that there was a quick trip across the street to get a few midnight snacks and restaurants within walking distance! 😊♥️

Nice looking lobby Breakfast was just okay But it did have a lot of great choices Sausages, chicken fried steak gravy

Eggs and eggs with ham, waffles breads and fruits Bed was firm with a few lumps but okay to sleep in Nice size room with microwave refrigerator Parking lot was VERY well lit Stayed in room 315 The only reason I’m giving it four stars is because the housekeeper knocked on my door at 9:00 am on my day of checkout Unacceptable 😳 Check out was 12:00 pm

Laura Myers

Maintenance was called twice for a toilet issue We asked for a new room at 10pm, they said none were available At 2am the toilet overflowed

Given a new room at 3am When we checked out the next day, the lady at the front desk was incredibly nice and took my info for a manager to call Haven’t received one The second floor smelled and the breakfast area was so hot it was almost unbearable to be there This was my first, and last time booking with a Best Western I will stick with Hilton hotels, and the Hyatt in Wichita

Mixed feelings about this hotel First off the room smelled like someone recently took a dump Cabinets and desk are modern and look good

Appliances are ancient TV is okay but older Had to fix toilet as it wouldn’t stop cycling Crumbs near chair like someone was hanging out in there before I checked in Walls are very thin so hopefully people are respectful if you stay No breakfast

The hotel is easily accessible from I35 as I was traveling through the area I felt safe as a solo traveler The room was clean and breakfast a typical Hampton Inn breakfast buffet

My only disappointment was that there was not a refrigerator in the room It was my fault for not taking note of this as I made the reservation prior to my stay

Jess B

Usually super clean, decent breakfast, and friendly staff We’ve stayed at least a dozen times at this location Occasionally there’s something that needs helped, but that happens everywhere

All in all A safe bet for staying in wichita Close to the highway A gas station A bank Food And no residential area too close for it to be a bad neighborhood

Sarah Sikes

To say this needs a full renovation is an understatement Dark, dreary, and overall just sad It’s clean enough, but when it’s that old nothing looks clean

Much smaller than pictures appear Area quite sketchy I literally watched a young man dig through the dumpster at the Fairfield for food I did not feel safe I cannot speak to the service as I checked in and out via the app and overall all of the aforementioned issues are completely outside of the staff’s control

Rooms with kitchenettes are pretty decent for extended stays Not sure if Covid is playing a role, but bed linens are only scheduled to be changed once a week They’ll skip that service if you’re in the room at service time and you’ll wait another week to get linens

Trash and towels are refreshed every 2 days, but toiletry refresh had to be requested Very pleasant and helpful staff and one of the better morning breakfast offerings I have encountered at a Marriott The breakfast host/dude is awesome! Slightly better room refresh service would earn that 5th star from me

Lili Solorzano

We spent 3 weeks here with our children and our 2 dogs I wish I had sprung for the 2 bedroom units, but we were comfortable on the 1 bedroom Kids enjoyed the pool almost daily, it was always clean with towels available

There is also a basketball court, BBQ grills, minigolf area For the dogs, there is a huge well kept grassy area behind the Residence Inn, it’s not fence but there is plenty of space to run It also has a guest laundry room which is super convenient Location couldn’t be better, tons of dining options, pickleball courts, bowling alley, movie theatre all within walking distance The team is amazing: Richard and Danielle were great to talk to in the morning, Rebecca, Elora, Christian, Damien (and apologies as I forgot the names of other amazing people we met while here) were always super warm, welcoming, and friendly The property itself could use a refresh in the next year or two, but the amazing service more than makes up for it

Adrian

I am leaving a one (1) star, because I am forced to leave a star I have been staying in hotels for the past 16 years on an average of 160-180 nights per year, 70% Marriott properties This property by far has been the worse that I have stayed at! The staff is disrespectful and rude, management lacks any moral character and judgement with dealing with any customer concerns

Stay away from this property!

The room was nice size The pool was nice and warm It was nice to walk around outside and walk across the road to the water area, especiallyat night

Breakfast was nice and they had a pretty decent variety The only complaint I have is the room was not very clean There was a food wrapper under the sofa cushion, there was stuff on the floor that appeared the room was not swept very well There was cashews on the floor under the little table by the sofa There was stuff on the wall and mirror The mini fridge looked like it had stuff spilled in the bottom that was either not cleaned at all or minimally maybe But I give the benefit of the doubt maybe they are short staffed or something It was fairly quiet and I did not hear any road traffic but we were on the top floor The staff was friendly A bit expensive but of much better quality than many other places around in my opinion Overall it was still a pretty nice stay and will definitely stay here again

Mindy Rosenbaum

We traveled to Wichita for an ice skating competition, which included 30 plus families From day one (months in advance ) of talking with Mark Stark, the general manager, to set up the block of rooms until the last families checked out of their rooms, the general manager and the hotel employees were amazing Communication before and while we were at the hotel was great

I am pretty sure they accommodated every request and beyond The hotel was in a great location as well We will certainly stay there for future nationals Thanks so much for making our stay in Wichita an awesome one

Melinda Nguyen

We had a late check in Very friendly staff On the first floor you will hear the door slamming shut

They should install soft closing doors because starting at 6 AM I can hear staff going in and out of the doors Pool is a little murky but a nice length indoors I use the fitness center which was nice and deserted We stayed in a room for handicap accessible so it was spacious We appreciated the complementary breakfast with hot foods and bagels and cereal The tea was Teavana brand There’s self-service laundry on site The location is right on campus with restaurants walking distance It was very close to the wedding I was attending There are two computers for the business center And decent seating right in the lobby with maybe about 10+ chairs I don’t know if Starbucks coffee is also complementary but I asked for hot water and they were happy to provide

We really like this chain of all suite extended stay however the Wichita location was lacking No ice machine, ice maker in fridge not working, had non stop trouble with keys both on room door and exterior door Front desk staff seemed unable/unwilling to do much

Asked for a receipt, printer wasn’t working, so requested an email receipt, 3 days later, so don’t have one No utensils in kitchen, only had 2 pots and 2 coffee cups but nothing to actually cook withBed and pillows were comfy and shower water pressure was amazing

Tracy Williams

Here 5 weeks and told how deep clean with linen changes every 7 days This only happened once and assist manager changed sheets once He is great

When I talked with manager he assured me he would take care of it I stay in hotels at least 9 months a year I mark things to tell if cleaned Sheets are easy to tell if fresh or notManager still hasn’t seen that my room gets clean I have 3 more weeks and never staying here again I also stopped eating breakfast when I noticed food sets in containers for hours after breakfast done

Haider Raza Bangash

1The front desk staff was rarely available at the place2 Due to covid policy the room was to be made after 7 days I stayed for 10 days and the bed linen was not changed and the reason was that staff for house keeping is not available3 Dirty towels which were not changed for 10 days despite several requests4The breakfast time was from 6 to 9 am and when i came for breakfast at 7 :30 am everything used to be finished except for coffee They would not replenish later and most of the guests were left without it

I booked this hotel being part of the prestigious Marriot chain but am highly disappointed due to the above reasons I would not recommend this hotel for stay to any friend

Home 2 Suites is a beautiful hotel Each room has a full kitchen and there are so many other amenities A patio with fire pit for the cooler seasons and another in the back with grills

The lobby is like an upscale coffee shop and the breakfast looks great I use the board room for meetings and since the parking is so great, my clients love it This would be a perfect place to bring your family It’s close to downtown, the stadium, and the walk along the river is lovely, especially at night

My sister and I unfortunately had to be in Wichita because of a family member in the hospital When trying to figure out where to stay I remembered I might have Hilton points I called customer service who were wonderful and hooked us up with a room using my points

The hotel turned out to be very nice and the accomodations were wonderful The hotel was conveniently located for our needs and all the staff were super friendly We ended up having to add an extra night and the process was so seamless We were so grateful that this was one less thing we had to worry about I absolutely recommend this hotel

It’s very central We will definitely stay there again for the location The hotel is very new and modern Good coffee service available all day The breakfast is adequate The staff is very friendly and helpful The room was large and very complete

This is a new experience for me with this hotel The rooms are smaller and designed for what you would actually use it, to sleep They have several areas around the lobby that you can use to socialize or relax

They have a business lounge for office workers for those that need to work Loved the outdoor pool, giving one the ability to get some sun and swim The workout/ ” Recovery Room” was nice, but the setup is not great for those who love morning workouts The sun, beating down through the window with no low-e coating made it very hot, driving the temperature up to 78 and even 79 by the time I left In the shared pic you can see the temp was set at 68, but you could not even feel the air coming from the vents For a place that says that they take pride in cleaning, they failed to clean the bars and dumbbells as you can see with the dirty towel when I cleaned the ones I used This is actually why I dropped it down to 4 stars on top of the hot “Recovery Room” They do offer free coffee in the mornings, but they charge for breakfast items I would suggest that you go to a restaurant because $5 for a Jimmy Dean sausage and biscuit that you have to microwave is insane If you like the free hot breakfast offered at other places, then this place is not for you If you like an inexpensive place to sleep and enjoy a wonderful outdoor pool and patio for sun bathing along with a great bar and social seating area indoors and outdoors with a gas fireplace, then go here and enjoy yourself If they fix the sun problem in the “Recovery Room” with some type of blinds or something and keep the weights clean, it would be worth a 5 star rating

Despite a few minor flaws in the hotel property itself we enjoyed a short 2 night stay mostly thanks to the incredibly hard working Jennifer Sheffield! This young lady went well above & beyond to help us with any question or request we had She was there upon our evening check in & then again back at the front desk early morning with a smiling face and willingness to help make our stay as comfortable as possible She alone is the reason we rate this stay & property 5 stars! Thank you Jennifer for your amazing customer service & dedication, we truly appreciated all you did for our family 🙂

Pros: bed is comfortable, staff was friendly Cons: broken safe, booked a king size but was given a room with 2 queens because there were no clean rooms with king size beds, the lighting is not good, the toilet was running, pool was closed, and the paint job is awful None of these cons really impacted my stay but they might for other guests
