Extremely pleased with the room Terrific shower with great water pressure, the best toilet of any hotel I’ve visited and the room was freshly remodeled with a modern feel I found a bed to be comfortable and the desk was great to work from

Only minor grievances I had was you could slightly hear the people walking in the room above you owe that could very well be inconsiderate occupants I’d also like to see a master switch at the door to turn off all the lightsOverall I was very pleased I will definitely use this hotel again

Everything is great, nice and clean Only problem is the morning coffee situation Apparently coffee used to be complimentary but now they’re charging for it, which is fine I guess but every time you go to get a coffee you have to ask someone at the front desk and it takes them like ten minutes to figure out where the cups, creamer, etc are

Every other hotel I’ve ever stayed at treats coffee like a staple – here for some reason it’s way too complicated

I CALLED THIS LOCATION AND ASKED ABOUT MY RETURNING DEPOSIT SINCE IT HAS BEEN 2 WEEKS AND I HAVE NOT RECEIVED $0 DEPOSIT BACK IF YOU PAY WITH A DEBIT CARD the employee Jeremy QUOTED IT TAKES 1-2 months of a return of a $100 deposit??? I wonder if this is illegal I don’t recommend this hotel as they are getting interest off people deposit

The WC Marriott is a professional, clean, modern, and respectful establishment Other than the expenses for parking and breakfast, which are slightly annoying, this remains a hotel that goes above and beyond to care for their guestsI appreciate their attention to detail and helpful front desk attitude

Great, useful, cost-saving, and technologically advanced App, too!

When I checked in the front desk gave me a key to a room that was already occupied I walked right into the room of someone who had checked in just a couple hours prior The individual in the room was quite upset and I was surprised to say the least

After checking into the correct room I listened to a dog that was a few rooms down bark for a couple hours continuously Every evening when I got back to the room for 4 nights straight I could hear the same dog barking for an hour or two You must use valet parking which isn’t a big issue at all except for my spare tire that was missing one morning Not sure if the valet staff was involved in taking it or if someone snuck in their parking garage and stole it I heard from multiple other guests that it is common in the area for individuals to have their spare tires stolen when valet parked People never notice the tire missing until they need it I just happened to notice that mine was missing while opening the trunk of my vehicle Make sure you check everyday to see if it has been stolen if you stay here The location is nice but overall I would NOT recommend this hotel

Nice people, The bartender guy was high end, nice guy! limited food options if your staying for more than a day, they serve mostly the same breakfast/dinner options and only a jack in the box in walking distance Room was clean and comfortable, but the lighting was dim, no overhead light Complimentary miniatures where basic

We have noticed there are huge policy differences between Marriott propertiesThis property is surrounded by multiple high end car lots but little else

Fast, fun and friendly serviceThe hotel has been able to maintain its premium feel despite its age The rooms are large, comfortable and well appointed

Beds are comfortableWalls are slightly thinClean on the surfaces, but like many older properties there are little things like dust accumulated in the exhaust vents Not a major thing, but little detailsGood value for the property and location

This hotel continues to be my “go to” whenever I need a restful place to stay The rooms are quite spacious, the beds comfortable, the towels and lines a notch above average

right down to the items in the kitchen area Plenty of desk surface for laptop and/tablet, well lighted, and unlike some of this chain’s competitors the tv is adjustable so that one might enjoy it from a variety of sitting choicesThe breakfast buffet has decent options, the coffee strong without a whisper of bitternessI can’t speak highly enough of the staff here, from front desk to each level of service person they are friendly, responsive and make the stay that much brighter

Kymberli Oakes

Clean, comfortable king bed in room 340 Our teenager gives the fold out soda bed 2 1/2 stars Plentiful, easy, self-parking ($10 charge)

The included breakfast was adequate (oatmeal, cold cereal, scrambled eggs, sausage links, pancakes, yogurt, bananas, oranges, OJ) The coffee was on the weak side, so plan to head to the nearby Starbucks if you like a caffeine jolt in the morning All staff we encountered were welcoming and helpful Would definitely return the next time we’re in town

The Littlest Dragon

I came during prom week During my stay, the staff were so kind and helpful They were so helpful and I wanted for nothing

At breakfast if I needed help there was always someone there willing to help Things that were empty were filled Even when I tried to clean up a hot chocolate spill from my baby sister, they stopped me and made sure I was okay and commented that they were worried about me fallingRooms were clean, though I do wish they had thicker comforters The only other thing is that the bathroom door lock was very finicky and was hard to unlock The fridge is loud when making ice Overall, fantastic room, fantastic hotel, and I would stay again

In terms of location and overall cleanliness, Shorelight Inn gets 5 stars I can admit that the view from our Suite was absolutely gorgeous, providing amazing sunset views from the balcony We picked this location because we fell in love with the vintage aesthetic and thought it would fit perfectly with our wedding theme

Unfortunately our overall experience with the staff on our wedding day is what merits a 1 star reviewWe booked this suite in the summer of 2021, letting the Inn know we were in search of a Honeymoon Suite for our Fall 2021 wedding They seemed very accommodating at the time, excited to have another wedding stay at their location We advised via phone that the Bride (myself) would also be using the Suite to get ready with her Bridal Party the day of the wedding There were no objections to this when the reservation was madeThe day of the wedding, my maid of honor was helping guide my bridal party, photographer and videographer to the suite This went on without incident all morning and really didn’t have everyone arrive until about after 9am, close to 10am Not once did we crash into other guests But apparently the photographer was talked to by the staff in a way that made them feel uncomfortable, so they decided to just stay in the room to avoid upsetting them further That made me very upset because 1) we had booked the room MONTHS in advance with the understanding we would be capturing the day at the suite 2) the staff did not come to talk to ME directly Whatever – the morning continued and we were out of the Inn by 130pm to continue with my wedding dayMy husband and I returned at 11pm to the Inn after picking up some fast food after our wedding We were dropped off and since my husband stayed elsewhere the night before, he still needed to bring up not only our dinner, but also his luggage and a handful of things we received at the reception Of course, I was in my full wedding gown so my husband decided it would be best for him to help me get upstairs to the suite so I can sit while he brought up our things We were not drunk, we were quiet upon entering My husband had to make maybe 2 or 3 trips downstairs since I could not help him He was as quiet as possible as to not cause a disturbanceOnce he shut the door behind him, we chatted briefly and quietly (not even a minute or 2) as we were still so elated from JUST getting married We got a knock on the door and a staff member told us very rudely to please keep it down, that it was VERY late and the guests were sleeping My husband apologized, making note that we LITERALLY had just returned from our WEDDING reception and we were just trying to get settled inThat interaction left such a poor impression for us We stayed in the suite the rest of the weekend and did not bother interacting with the staff after that Literally all weekend, it felt like a ghost town We heard no other guests Even the few times we exited the room for a walk, we didn’t crash into anyone – not even staff The experience made me so sad that even months after the wedding, it was the one thing about my wedding day that was the downside to everything What sucks even more is that I very much wanted to share the beautiful pictures and video taken of this place in case others wanted to use this as their Wedding Suite – but I do not recommend anyone to use this Inn We did not feel welcomed and we will not be returning to this establishment

Rebecca Bar

We stayed at the Shorelight Inn while attending a friends wedding in town First and foremost, the owners of this inn made an overtly racist comment to a member of our groupSecond, we stayed in one of the downstairs rooms, which we learned after arriving shares a door and wall with the breakfast area

Guests and inn employees were extremely loud beginning at 7:30 am, making it impossible to sleep in When we came out of the room and asked if they woke us up, staff was unapologetic and actually laughed at our frustrationIf all of that isn’t enough to have you stay elsewhere, I would describe the rest of the inn as “fine” Dated but serviceable But you should take your money elsewhere

Jake Reinert

Absolutely gorgeous place and area to stay Highly recommend The hosts are friendly and accommodating, the room was clean and comfortable

I stayed in the sunset room and loved the vintage decor and large bath tub They have a mini fridge in the lobby with free water and beer It’s is right on a mini trail right on the water, and is such a great place to watch the sunset Hope to be back someday!

Friendly room service and breakfast teamNice breakfast selection, good pool and basketball courtThe front desk was not professional at all, we stayed there 2 weeks, didn’t get a nice room, didn’t get an upgrade promised, didn’t get a room changed that was promised

they never checked the pool area which got out of control 3 times during out stay

JJ

Rooms stink, bad Staff will not accommodate you when you request to move because, “smell isn’t a good reason for a move or refund We’ll spray it

” Internet is horrible, only works half the time, neighbors pound on your door, whole having a domestic incident, and staff does not care I spend 11 months a year on the road, never staying at a Hyatt again

Matthias Silver

First off

when you pull in, there are no signs to direct you to the front desk, so if you pull in after the doors are locked it is hard to find it Second, when I asked the security guard in the parking lot where the office was he responded “No” That’s all, just no then finally, I find the front desk and ask about a room, to which I got no response, just a glaze-eyed stare from the seemingly stoned desk clerk if you have to ask no, I will not return

Ryan Privee (Paranormal Adventures)

Nice clean historic hotel Nobody was around when I arrived around 4:30pm which was odd but the staff left a key and note (it was a weekday) I stayed in the “Ghost Adventures” room Wild Peony

They obviously exaggerated how “scary” this place is as it wasn’t scary at all and I slept comfortably I will say some of the spirit voices I got weren’t exactly friendly, I heard some “will you leave/go?” But just grouchy spirits, nothing malevolent They were active lighting up paranormal equipment in an intelligent manner so I do recommend this location to paranormal enthusiasts, but if you aren’t into ghost hunting you have nothing to fear as you probably won’t experience anything if you aren’t trying to interact It’s a great location near the water, restaurants and shops There’s a nice public garden across the street and the food in the restaurant under the hotel is quite good The staff at the restaurant have ghost stories too

its me

This place is really old and kind of funky but that’s the whole point of staying there I mean it’s really old the building’s probably from 1911 or something I heard it was haunted when I went to a restaurant nearby to eat but I really felt a great vibe when I walked into my room and I had a great time in the city of Benicia everybody was so friendly I would definitely go back in fact I can’t wait to go back

Great location Beautiful setting Staff is SO nice that it’s almost impossible to say enough about how great they are!Only reason it gets 4 stars instead of 5 is because some of the fixtures and furnishings are looking a bit down at the heels and that’s not quite appropriate

Time for a bit of a refreshMy bathroom shower was giant and fancy but I couldn’t get the water quite hit enough no matter how much I fiddled with that Grohe temp setting

Juliana Schroeder

I had a truly horrific experience The room cost more than $800 and there was just one issue after another The worst was that there was a 3 hour wait to get a crib, which was set up so that it folded halfway through the night and almost killed my baby

I was calling customer service for hours and when they finally answered they said “oh sorry, we were busy” Busy at midnight? That’s a ridiculous lie, they just didn’t have any manning the desk Later on, the woman at the front desk had no idea about any of the events going on My husband left his phone at the pool and then they refused to let him get it back after the pool area closed He literally didn’t have a phone all night long until I went in and negotiated with them in the morning Then housekeeping came by at 7 am and knocked loudly on the door for like 5 minutes The wake up call we definitely didn’t need I can say without a doubt that this was one of the worst hotels I’ve been to in my life

Kerry Wilson

We really enjoyed our escape to the gorgeous Claremont The building has been beautifully updated with modern decor and features, yet it maintains historic elements and charm The hotel’s location on the edge of Berkeley allows for a quiet getaway, yet it’s a short, safe walk from the shops and restaurants of College Avenue

Highly recommend upgrading to a room with a view of the bay and the Golden Gate Bridge

I like the mature trees planted around the complex We brought our 2 small dogs and there was lots of places to walk them Lots of parking spaces

The one bedroom was clean but a bit cramped Studios are more spacious even though they have the same square footage The bathrooms are updated I love the blackout curtains, I feel well rested after a good night’s sleepThey serve just regular breakfast everyday The eating area is bright and spaciousWe stayed for one week and our room was cleaned only once and I had to request for it! No one comes to clean everyday so kitchen trash builds up that I had to throw trash in the garbage bins outside The fire alarm went off in our building My husband and son ran out but no one came to tell them what happened or if it was okay to return back inside the building

The Pleasanton Residence Inn is an older building but well done remodeling Large, comfortable room An actual seating area plus large desk

Nice kitchenette with dishwasher Well stocked with dishes, pots and pans I like that most of the rooms have a large stall shower instead of a tub shower Great service Easy to access, convenient to 2 main highways, shopping of all kinds just minutes away I just wish it wasn’t literally right next to the highway Traffic noise was not obvious in the room even facing the highway, but step out back and the noise was very obviousRecommended for the longer stay if you plan to do some of your own cooking Nice breakfast options provided and included

Sylvan M

I don’t ever write reviews for places, let alone hotels, but I wanted to go out of my way to shout out two people at the hotel, Vanessa and Wilbert at the front desk Vanessa went out of her way multiple times to help me get a room that I’d like, especially since I was staying longer-term In addition she was so kind, professional, and warm

Management: if she qualifies for any kind of raise or bonus, she deserves it She made my stay much better Same with Wilbert–went above and beyond to help me and was kind, warm, and helpful Both were wonderful and I feel grateful to them–thank youI stayed at this Residence Inn for close to 2 months, from mid October to early December The hotel is recently renovated (and they were still doing some improvements while I was there) to be more sleek and contemporary The breakfast was pretty good–best of many extended stay hotels I’ve stayed in the last 6 months Every day there were scrambled eggs, oatmeal, yogurt, fresh fruit, plus fresh pastries and waffles, and a rotation of different breakfast sausage/bacon/etc every day The ladies who work the breakfast were lovely, I never caught any of their names, but they were friendly and kind Thank you!

Nice double tree right off the 580 and close to the outlets and plenty of food options You have access to a large fitness facility which is also nice They offer a breakfast buffet and have a bar on premise

Nice facility with a decent sized outdoor pool I didn’t take many pictures but I’ll share the lobby and the pool The beds aren’t comfortable but they have soft down pillows that help

Stacy Fellows

Nice and clean hotel Loved the Hilton app to check-in and choose my room Loved being able to walk in and go straight to me room without having to go to front desk to check-in

Did not love the digital key Wanted to love the digital key, because I love technology when it works But it didn’t work very well Not sure why I let the hotel know after our stay Next time I’ll stop by front desk to get a physical key just in case

Have been traveling to the lovely city of Concord for more than 25 years and I must say our stay here at Sonesta Pleasant Hills has been the most restful!!!! From booking our room to check in and out was a breeze I requested a disabled room due to my mother’s physical restrictions and the rooms accommodated completely The beds were at an easy sit and stand height

The shower had multiple safety handrails Wonderful for helping mom out in shower Rooms and bathrooms very clean Beds clean and soft to the touch Colors and decor are very nice Good choices of furniture to still be pleasant and functional for disabled Overall great experience!!!!!

but it comes with some caveats To the huge positive, the “front desk” staff are consistently impressiveknow me by name, friendly and welcoming to all guests and the support staff are equally gracious The rooms tend to run on the small side, but are very quiet considering the hotel’s location, the beds comfortable and the linens well laundered The mini fridge is just that – mini – so if you intend to stay longer than a weekend I’d suggest that you bring an ice chest The big “lacking” is a microwave, although there is a “common use unit in the ground floor snack area Prices are quite good, but I’d suggest this as a weekender rather than an extended stay site The on-site restaurant was also closed, so zero breakfast/lunch options

Excellent customer service A very pleasant helpful staff The room was very clean, spacious and comfortable

There are lots of restaurants nearby and the staff was very helpful with their recommendations on where to goThe room was quiet and the bed comfortable Parking was easyI’d definitely stay here again

We had an upgraded room which was nice and large Staff was fine but nothing amazing The ladies working the bar were fantastic

No room cleaning after our first night but they were knocking on the door at 9am on check out day (and 2 more times before checkout)Pool was nice We BYOB and nobody seemed to mind

This is my go to hotel when I am on Pleasanton for work There is no view, it’s close to the freeway, reasonable (while still being a Marriott property #points) and convenient to our office It is very easy to park here, the staff are friendly, rooms are clean and quiet

There is a BART station close by that I may consider staying here and using as a jumping off point to other places in the Bay Area It is a bit out of the way but that is part of the appeal to me Highly recommended this place

Terrible hotel for basic services We needed a couple of bath towels It took 25 minutes of waiting in the front desk

The two Queen bed room was as scantily furnished as it can be Lighting layout is done as inconvenient as possible for guests, even without a master control for the room The highway noise level exceeded 55 dB all day and night When a/c unit kicks in, the noise level averages uncomfortable 72dB, making resting in the room extremely difficult Room service was slow to respond as well

PROS:+ Hotel & room look fresh and newly renovated+ Staff was overall friendly and helpful+ Mina (I think that was his name) at the Front Desk was wonderful at asking how the stay was He was professional, classy, and approachable I was amazed how unafraid he was to ask how the stay was 1-10

Hotel workers need to ask this more often! He deserves a raise :)CONS:- Corner suite can be a bit noisy from the Bart, didn’t bother me but can bother light sleepers- Location isn’t exactly walking distance from any restaurants, bars, or groceries- Must pay for parking

Tiara Littleton

Thank you, Mina, for the outstanding customer service from the time I arrived to the time I checked out The hotel was spotless, parking is a little unnecessarily priced, but there is street parking, the continental breakfast was on par, especially for an athlete like myself I like the various options they have available! I definitely look forward to staying here every time I come to the Bay

This place is just on the outskirts of downtown Walnut Creek But it is also very close to BART All of which means it’s a good place to stay and easy to get to

As Marriotts go it’s about par for the course in terms of cost and quality The parking situation is a little bit dicey, and may have to rely on valet parking Still, on the whole would call this place a good value for the money

Stayed here three nights while visiting the Bay Area with family of five (children ages 6-10) One of the nicer hotels we have stayed in and seems like it is new or has been remodeled recently Room was clean and spacious

Breakfast was always fantastic Valet parking is $30/day but that is to be expected when visiting the city Short walk across the street to the BART stop if you want to take the train into the city Great stay overall and we would definitely book here again!

Kirstin Rosales

Rose checked us in and she was personable and provided speedy and great customer service The suite rooms were clean and spacious along with a vast array of breakfast items our family could enjoy The only thing that was disappointing was the indoor pool was down for maintenance which is partly why we booked this hotel

It would have been nice to have been told when booking the hotel or checking in that one of the amenities was down I also wish that they provided regular coffee pods (we only had tea and hot cocoa), extra blankets and pillows in the rooms for the pull out sofa Otherwise, we will probably be back!

Older hotel with actually a great charm to it, and clean! Second floor hall overlooks the Lobby / Diner The room is spacious with a drawing room up front 60″ flat-screen, sleeper sofa and work area in the drawing room

Separate work area and television in the bedroom Comfy bed and pillows Nice large bathroom plus fridge and micro Not bad!

My first stay here I was pleased with the experience Friendly staff

Parking is easily available I like the hotel design It appears small until I saw the interior and central green area with a pool, tables, BBQ, etc The hotel is circular with room windows overlooking the central green area The room windows have a view central green area with a pool, tables, BBQ; instead of the parking lot or freeway Breakfast choices were good I’ll be back

its me

It’s a basic Hotel nothing fancy Always clean and has some great amenities such as a gym a beautiful pool and breakfast in the morning But it’s not a high-end place or anything it’s just clean comfortable and gives you the basics of what you need to stay overnight out of town

The people at the front desk were very nice and so were all of the guests that I met while I was there so I had a fun time

Rocio Holguin

This hotel is great for vacations or get aways The rooms are cozy and clean The staff are very professional and welcoming

They take Covid protocol seriously The continental breakfast that is included with your stay is delicious The pool is heated and clean, not to mention the view of the Marina is gorgeous My family really enjoyed our stay We will definitely return

Jason Matsumoto

I stayed here for almost 3 weeks It was a pretty good experience overall Some of the front desk staff were friendly and warm, while others weren’t so much

The rooms are above average, but not awesome I witnessed a car being broken into while looking out my room window one afternoon and then went down to the lobby to report it and the manager asked me to call the police, rather than him calling them, which seemed very weird and off putting They also rented the meeting room out to some sort of party with a DJ on a Saturday night, resulting in plenty of bass reverberating throughout the property until late evening Breakfast has make-your-own waffles and toast, some pastries and such, boiled eggs, and not much else The walls between the rooms aren’t the worst, but you can still hear the TV and voices in adjacent rooms While the property is directly on the water, the marina is in a state of disrepair and the area is not the best place for walking around after dark It’s fine and even quite pleasant during the day, though The main thing going for it is the overall value – it’s one of the best priced places in the area that is actually decent I’ll stay here again if I want to save a few bucks over some of the other places in the area

Bob Morris

What I can say is that they went out of their way to pick us up after hours with the shuttle van Van service is up to 7pm The room was nice sized and the furniture looked good

The bathroom had a good sized shower The problem for us was that bed was too hard and the same with the pillows The breakfast could have been better, too! We were expecting a view of the marina, but it was of the parking lot The marina was within viewing when you are outside Based on what you want, the staff was very friendly and helpful
