Really enjoyed staying at the State House Inn The building is really charming as is the decor! There are reviews that talk about needing updates and I don’t agree The building is a historic building and from everything I saw was very well maintained

Our room was clean and we had everything we needed We stayed in the Queen Mary room and enjoyed it The bed was comfy and loved the soft robes provided in the roomOur check-in was easy and the lady working was very accommodating as our flights arrived way before the normal check-in time They worked hard to get the rooms prepared ahead of normal check-inWe plan on returning to explore Annapolis more and will be staying at this location again

Heather Enriquez

The room was clean and the staff incredibly friendly I’m docking a star for two reasons: we stayed in the room overlooking the main drag, and it was pretty noisy, and there were definitely a few things in the room that need some attention The Jacuzzi tub didn’t work, and other minor repairs would have definitely improved the experience

Generally, the room was clean and comfortable

The State House Inn was just what my husband and I were looking for Its location made it perfect for walking to all of the local shops and restaurants The room had a great view of the State House and a view of Main Street

The staff was very friendly and made sure that all of our needs were metWhen we visited, it was in the mid to high 90s the whole time so we were thankful for the very reliable airconditioning unit that our room had The location made it easy to explore downtown and then return to our room for a break and to cool offThe only issue we ran into was the shower temperature It would change from hot to cold and then to warm again on its own I did keep in mind that it is a small house with several rooms and other guests showering so it could just be a timing issue of when everyone is showering However, we came to see Annapolis and not waste time showering so it worked out 🙂

Super cozy and quant! We checked in late Friday night and staff was extremely helpful because we couldn’t find the parking (normal parking garage was under construction) The room was absolutely adorable, perfect for just 2 and for a weekend trip! Loved that it was in the heart of Annapolis and a love Chick & Ruth’s Breakfast there was great and loved that the “simple” breakfast was included with our stay

Will definitely be coming back! Highly recommend!

KC D

There is a kitchenette with a stove top, microwave, and refrigerator but no cups, plates, utensils, or pots and pans so it makes the stovetop uselessThey were doing construction next door This was not disclosed

We woke up to the building next door being torn down which felt like an endless earthquake The bar next door has people hanging out loudly You could hear people fighting till 4amTheir website says you $1198 per person in breakfast credit When you get there it’s a limited menu they let you order from or give you $550 credit The housekeeper had a child with her They were arguing and the child was crying while they were cleaning the next door room You check in and out the staff at the diner It feels that you as an Inn guest are an after thought When I checked out the person there never talked to me or asked me anything She just took my keysThey never asked to see my ID or confirm my credit card I am not sure how legally they can charge my card at this point

Perfect wedding venue! We were able to host a fantastic wedding weekend at the newly renovated Kent Manor Resort! The staff helped us plan a very special wedding … even though we were working long distance through a pandemic! We were able to have family and the wedding party stay at the manor, to host several events, and to enjoy the bucolic setting! Guests commented on the beautiful manor, and loved the newly constructed Farmstead! Staff were friendly and accommodating, easily ironing out any wrinkles that popped up! The bridal party enjoyed a fantastic lunch and the reception menu was stellar! The chef delivered delicious food, as expected! Our special event couldn’t have been any lovelier!R

This is a beautiful house with friendly staff! My husband and I were looking for a nice place to relax and getaway We loved going into town which has some great shops and restaurants Recommend eating at Amalfi for great Italian cuisine and wine

We also enjoyed the kayaks and poolThings we didn’t enjoy were being right next to the exterior door Every time the door opens it’s loud and wakes you up (people were coming in/out till 12:00am) There were also extremely loud guests from a wedding that weekend that were yelling/laughing down the hallway all hours of the night I did not sleep well the 2 nights we were here If you are on the 1st floor you can hear guests above you walking around and talkingGreat house and staff just inconsiderate guests

Karen Arriaga

Today was a year I planned my wedding here, what a experience, I cried the day of my wedding no one deserves that for what is supposed to be the happiest day of their lives, I chose this place because I had a dream about my wedding in front of the water but it was a nightmare in the end, my ceremony got moved to a tent they use a day before were you could see all the chairs and tables that were used for a previous event And the worst part is that they didn’t contact me for this changeCommunication was bad, The only time it was good is when they wanted their money

Wedding coordination gave me more stress asking for everything in the last minuteIt was a year ago and I hope they have improved their service and if you are planing your wedding there record everything just in case when they say they have everything handled and at the end they’re just winging it it’s not worth it Last but not least the flies are horrible everything got covered in flies like a horror film

We absolutely loved Wades Point Inn! The breakfasts were amazing, and they were very accommodating of my daughter’s tree nut allergy, remembering this at every meal And speaking of meals, the food was delicious – parfaits, fresh fruit, tiny pancakes with strawberries, homemade biscuits, cinnamon rolls, egg dishes – the works Our room was clean, quiet, and had a terrific view of the water

The property is huge and features lots of places to walk, plus lovely swings and hammocks Beth and Sherry and the entire staff were super nice and had lots of tips on local restaurants and things to do We felt Covid-safe as we ate breakfast on the outdoor/screened porch every day We can’t wait to go back! Thank you for a much-needed getaway

Ashley Ruffead

We had a wonderful stay This is definitely the spot if you want a few quiet days away from the noise and bustle of everyday life Very relaxing atmosphere, beautiful views, friendly staff and yummy breakfast

There kayaks, bikes and paddle boards available for use They have pairs of lounge chairs spaced along the waterfront so you have a great view but privacy from the next pair of chairs The inn is close to town where they have cute shops and a variety of good restaurants

Stephanie Vlaminck

Beautiful setting great scenery One of the nicest B&B’s! Breakfast was divine Staff was great

It’s an old house but felt cozy There’s a common refrigerator where you can keep some drinks/snacks There’s a mile long nature trail and the views were amazing! Highly recommend this place I wouldn’t recommend bringing your kids Do yourself a favor and go with your significant other and just enjoy the peace and the scenery

What an incredible hotel and hospitality experience — thank you, Annapolis Waterfront team! I’ve never been at a hotel this thoughtful and accommodating We were worried about having our puppy in the hotel, and Rene went miles out of his way to make sure we (and the pup!) were comfortable and happy The hotel itself is beautiful, clean, and well-designed, and we are so grateful to the team that runs it

Highly, highly recommend!

Michelle Gothers

My husband booked the wrong date and we noticed about 30 minutes before we arrived to the hotel Janasia at the front desk was so understanding, sweet and was STILL able to accommodate us! The room was amazing and we could not believe the hospitality It was quick, painless and they made our weekend so much better by helping us out

HIGHLY recommend!!!!

Megan Bennett

The rooms are pretty but that’s about it We went for a girls weekend and wanted to watch a late night movie only to find out that the TV’s aren’t smart tv’s and have no streaming access like most other Marriott hotels For $500+ per night, you would think the bathrooms would be a little more lux

Our room phone didn’t work because the entire outlet was busted Our bedside lamps also did not work The view and location are the only attractive thing about the hotel

Absolutely stellar in every way The location was great and easy to get to with plenty of stores and restaurants in the area (though I highly suggest the Ports of Call restaurant inside the hotel) The junior suite was massive and had a very large soaking tub

Rooms were clean and looked great Finally, the staff were hands down the friendliest and most professional people I’ve ever had the pleasure of dealing with If I’m anywhere near this area in the future I will definitely pick this location again!

Stephanie Pastorino

I contemplated writing this review because the staff was friendly but this hotel is not up to par with other Double Tree Hotels We booked a suite since we were traveling with a 9 month old and our puppy Upon arrival we were never offered the cookies that they go way out of their way to advertise over and over on their answering service and online, as Hilton honors members we were not even offered a bottle of water at check in

When we got into the room we noticed the room was not very clean Aside from the room being very outdated there was very minimal towels in the bathroom, red stains on the carpets and a funky smell throughout the suite We allowed our 9 month old to crawl around on the floor while we unpacked to which she found a LARGE switch blade knife left behind by the previous guest, after further inspection we found old moldy limes on the floor as well When my husband went to the front desk to complain about the room we were switched to another available suite We paid extra money to check in early and spent the entire time of our early check in at the front desk and then switching rooms and we weren’t offered the early check in amount to be refunded At first glance the second room seemed more suitable although still outdated and dingy with stained carpets etcbut at least this room had towels, however I found a small SLUG on our bed! Afraid of what we might find in room #3 we got rid of the slug and stayed in this room The pool was nice and is pretty much the only reason besides the friendly staff that I rated this hotel a 2/5 however we were charged wayyy more for the poolside drinks than what the menu states- double to be exact, with no explanation as to why we paid double the price for each drink Trying to salvage the rest of our stay we attempted to eat in the hotel restaurant When we went down the restaurant it did not appear to be very crowded however we were greeted by someone at the door who said it would be a very long wait before they could seat us and was basically trying to deter us from eating there We looked around at the many open tables and decided that it was probably best not to eat there since our stay was not going well thus far and left the hotel to grab dinner This was incredibly upsetting to us because we specifically booked a hotel with all amenities so that we could relax and enjoy ourselves in once place and not have to travel around with the baby The buffet breakfast was included with our stay so I have to say that is the only reason why we went to breakfast in the morning, the food was good but the dishes were not clean, there was lip marks on the orange juice glass I had and food and grease stuck to the “clean” plates next to the buffet I am incredibly disappointed with this hotel, for the amount of money we spent on this one night I would have preferred staying anywhere else, definitely not the experience you would normally get at a Double Tree Hotel

Chris Caldwell

Jody, the daytime shuttle driver, was awesome, very kind, and as flexible and accommodating as possible considering all the wedding traffic at the hotel, as were most of the other staff Maybe a 10 minute ride to downtown or the academy Rooms are a bit tired and dated, but adequate with a audible clicking, yet functional AC

The firm king bed that I slept upon was not at the Double Tree standard that I have come to expect, but others may prefer it The rooms are relatively quiet if you are on the front side away from the busy four lane Breakfast is typical Double Tree and a decent Annapolis hotel value with a good $15 buffet and multiple cooked to order optionsI’ve never written a review mentioning loyalty status, but if you are expecting any sort of status upgrades or preferential treatment for being a long time Honors member, look elsewhere Despite no wait behind me and being alone at the front desk with two attendants, my Honors status was not acknowledged at check in, I was not offered water, or even a cookie, and I even received a lecture from ‘Joshua(maybe 5’9″ or so, balding, with glasses)’ about the limitations of the food and beverage credit, and how Honors members have long taken advantage(his words) of the complimentary breakfast Almost ‘anti’ in the customer service department and likely in need of remediation I also had the displeasure of phone call with ‘Joshua’ a couple of days after my stay, due to a billing error, and he once again reinforced his hospitality shortcomingsOverall, a decent hotel but one bad egg can cause a lingering odor

On June 3, 2022, our family stayed at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites in Annapolis, MD When I booked this room, I was under the impression that it would sleep five people If I try to book a room at your hotel today, it still shows the same information

This means that your website is set up to allow five people in a suite that should only hold two people When we arrived and checked in, we were assigned that room and I’m not sure how five grown people were supposed to sleep in that one room? I have never had an issue booking for five people in the past and if I could not fit five in a room then it would make me do two rooms However, this did not happen when I booked at your hotel The front desk was able to give us a room with two queens, which left one person sleeping on the dirty floor Needless to say he woke up in pain and the pain lasted for several days, which he had to seek chiropractic care for relief Someone had checked in earlier with the same impression and they were able to get a cot, we had to end up with sheets on the floor We also had an issue with blood all over one of the pillows We had to request a new one from the front desk Management has been contacted twice about the issue and the issue was brought up that day to the front desk I still have had no resolve to this matter Poor customer service, questionable cleanliness issues and terrible all around experience from someone who used to stay regularly at IHG Hotels but will now look into my other options!

I stayed here for over a month while I was waiting to move into my house My room was clean, the breakfast employee was incredibly pleasant, and there was plenty of storage However, when I checked out, I accidentally left an expensive Vitamix blender in the room and the hotel couldn’t have been less helpful or interested in returning it to me

I immediately called, provided my room number, and asked for housekeeping to retrieve it They said they’d check and call me back, but I didn’t get a return call After calling again, multiple times, they finally told me it was gone and there was nothing they could do

Lavern Morris

I have been there for almost 2 weeks and am very pleased with the service My suite is spacious and modern I love how the cook top has one large burner and one small, unlike other hotels with 2 same size

The windows are large so the room is bright The gym is way better than many other marriott gyms No coins needed in the laundry room, credit card is fine Special thanks to the front desk staff, especially Shantelle who was so pleasant and helpful at check-in, and Robert who is so patient, courteous and helpful He is one of the best front desk team members I have had anywhere, and I’m an ambassador elite so I have seen a lot

Katie Ray

Pros: The staff was all very warm and friendly The hotel was clean and it was in a convenient location with ample parking Breakfast was included – nothing fancy, but it wasn’t bad either

It may sound silly, but I really liked the water in the lobbyCons: That mattress is one of the most uncomfortable mattresses I’ve ever slept on and the pillows were lumpy By the end of the week my back was aching

The Inn is a cute little boutique hotel located just over the Bay Bridge The bed was very comfortable The grounds were cute with the gardens and various outbuildings

I was there as a bridesmaid at the The Chesapeake Bay Beach Club so I did not get to enjoy the dipping pools I did walk around the grounds and they were lovely I would have liked to use a bike and ride around to see the sightsWe drove from western New York and arrived around 2:30 pm We had to wait for our room 🙁 All my hubby wanted was to lie down after a 7+ hour drive but I think we waited less than 1 hour…The staff was very personable at every encounter: from the front desk, to the door people to the drivers (Their breakfast sandwiches were priced well and delicious With a captive audience, they really could have hosed us on the price but didn’t)

Sean Smith

It was a wonderful experience Great attitudes and service from the staff Rooms were clean and stocked

Could easily ask for more water if necessary My only issues were for it being called a beach club, there was no beach in view The coffee machine in our room was a bit different than the one in directions It probably worked the same way but I wasnt willing to mess with it Finally, add sandals/flip flops to the market shop, that’s easy money

Chris Kohout

We hosted our grandmother‘s 95th birthday here The service was fantastic, we highly recommend the tater tot bar and crab dip appetizers We also served the salmon, steak, salad, risotto, orzo, and asparagus

Everyone enjoyed the main course that the Smith Island cake for dessert in sundae bar were perhaps the highlight of the meal Especially for the kids! The outdoor grounds including giant chess set, pergola, and fire pit make this place an excellent choice to host any gathering

We absolutely loved our stay in the king room with a balcony! From initially checking in, where the front desk associate (Nick) was incredibly kind and gave us detailed recommendations and walking directions for various activities and food, to the room itself, we were incredibly pleased The decor made the hotel room feel so fun, and our bed was very comfortable Plus, the balcony was spacious and felt quite private

Location was easily walkable to all of Annapolis, even with our baby! Definitely worth the slightly higher expense than a standard hotel We will be back!

Liliya Susong

An absolutely perfect place to stay New, clean, roomy and beautifully designed, with amazing attention to detail – crab wallpaper, room keys styled as students’ cards, etc very cozy and welcoming atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff

Convenient parking (both valet and self-parking available) Nice gym and cafe on the property Walking distance to everything downtown Could not have been happier with our choice!

Yasmin Wazir

I hate to write bad reviews, but when I’m paying $500/night for a hotel, I expect some level of cleanliness Unfortunately, that was not the case during my stay The room was dark and dirty

The lobby and restaurant had cockroaches crawling around My party had to call out the roaches to the front desk multiple times before they did anything about it The hotel decor is super cute, but if you look closely, it’s a filthy hotel I’d rather stay at a best western for a fraction of the cost Needless to say, I will never be staying here ever againUpdate: the hotel did reach out after I posted this review Kudos to them on that part However, when the manager accused me of lying about seeing cockroaches in the lobby, instead of just checking with the front desk person on duty that night (or security footage), it’s really not a good look Sorry for telling the truth about my stay, but it happened… good riddance

The entire experience at 134 Prince – Luxury Boutique Hotel was perfect from start to finish The location of this stunning property is easily walkable to all of the best amenities in Annapolis The staff was extremely courteous and professional

When we arrived, the manager greeted me by name and brought our luggage to the Presidential Suite where my husband and I stayed for the weekend The architectural details were complemented by the high-end, modern amenities at this luxury hotel We have traveled to many hotel properties throughout the world, but 134 Prince – Luxury Boutique Hotel is in a class of its own We will most definitely be back!

Rusne Lieponis

This was one of the nicest boutique hotels we’ve ever stayed in! We were in the Presidential Suite and it was absolutely lovely Beautiful, spacious bathroom with makeup table, large shower, and stand alone tub, thick towels, and the king bed was beyond comfortable with soft, luxurious sheets The general manager Debbie made us feel welcome and at home

She even insisted on helping us with our luggage! There is a beautiful, cozy sitting room as well as a lovely kitchen and breakfast area where Chef Miguel made us a delicious breakfast every morning Everyone bent over backwards to make our stay exceptional We will definitely stay here again when we are next in Annapolis!

I recently decided to book a getaway stay at 134 Prince to celebrate Valentine’s day with my wife, and I feel compelled to leave a review I generally don’t leave reviews, but the experience my wife and I had was well above my expectations I was definitely expecting our room to be beautiful based on the photos on the website (and it was) but I wasn’t expecting to be greeted by such an inviting and professional staff

To me, it was small details and the seamless service during our stay that stood out the most; prior to our visit I called to request a flower bouquet to be placed in our room, and everything was prepared perfectly without any additional instructions or reminders Our room was absolutely stunningly designed, and throughout the property there were so many small details that make it a beautiful hotelWe loved the short walking distance to Annapolis attractions We didn’t know exactly what to do in Annapolis, but the on-site staff was exceptionally helpful with recommendations during our stay I can’t emphasize enough how short the walking distance is to everything and the hotel is nested in a beautiful historic neighborhood; it didn’t feel like a typical hotel experience at all Overall, we had a terrific mini-vacation and we would love to visit again

Great location and charming historic hotel We had use of the hospitality room (wonderful) and patio, but the lights out on the patio weren’t working, so dark at night The beds were great, but there were very few electrical outlets in our room room (overlooking the ballroom) and it was very dark since it wasn’t open to direct sunlight

The hair dryer was old and didn’t get hot, and there wasn’t any body lotion in the bathroom Beware of the bath tub/shower — there are no rubber mats and you can easily slip Also, no room service unless you stay 4 nights or more

The Governor Calvert Inn is a wonderful, historic hotel with great customer service It definitely is worth calling for reservations instead of using the online booking system, since we were able to get a great deal on the King Balcony room with a spectacular view of the State House and downtown Annapolis My mom and I both have limited mobility right now, and Will and David were such a huge help in valeting the car and getting our bags to our room, really going above and beyond in their kindness!

I was disappointed because I requested a ground floor 2 bedroom suite over two weeks ago, because I had my 101 year old aunt with me I had to get a 2 bedroom suite upstairs and that meat my 101 year old aunt had to climb all 15 + steps She did it but it was bit much for her

They offered me two studios on the first floor to separate us but I told her noAfter I took the suite upstairs my vacation went wellThis place is very nice, just wished they were more accommodating for older adults especially if you requested the accommodations ahead of timeBreakfast was delicious Room was great, beds were very comfortable

Positives: The studio suite was very spacious with a comfortable sofa, large working table, and nice dining area It is well equipped with cooking utensils and a nice kitchen You can cook comfortably if you want

The room is large enough for a group of four Even though the breakfast options are limited, you can take your food to your room to eat later Brown envelopes and foil wraps provided make it easy to do soNegatives: The toilet was clogged, when I called to report it and I was asked to come and pick a plunger from the front desk to fix it myself! How awful Housekeeping is not everyday The towels and bedsheet are rough and old It would have been better if the sheets were ironed There was a thick cobweb by the entrance of the studio suit I stayed in Cleaning is not properly done Breakfast options limited

Very convenient location for access to downtown and a few great, very close-by restaurants and barsHowever, agree with others on horrendous service Front desk staff are frankly combative and seemed to take pleasure in denying reservations

A weird culture of trying to make the travel experience as miserable as possible Had to ultimately contact third party booking site, who then got in touch directly with hotel, to get pre-paid booking honored Quite an ordeal One day, the staff also failed to alert guests of adjoining road closures until the day of, when parked cars became inaccessible for several hours Manager completely unapologetic regarding all of thisRooms are good, price is fair for area, safe neighborhoodBottom line: do not recommend, will not stay again

Suzie Jacob

Location is great, walking distance from restaurants and bars The room was fine, pretty standard Service however was terrible: checking in was an ordeal, with bad attitude from the receptionist

Room service is only provided if specifically requested We were also not informed of a road closure, with signs posted on elevators the day of – for a closure starting at 10am and lasting the whole morning! Had to figure out myself where to temporarily relocate the car, as the receptionist seemed very unconcerned and didn’t provide any help Would not recommend
