I enjoyed my stay here! The staff was kind & informative I was properly greeted and quickly checked in The staff recommended some superb dinner recommendations

I ended up getting shrimp tacos & blackened salmon with Caesar salad The breakfast feature was amazing, however the breakfast is not complimentary The food is quite delicious and worth it The hotel is convenient with access to onsite dining & a mini grocery pantry The decor was well decorated & inviting The rooms were adequate and allow for a comfortable rest The only downside of the stay was a few noticeable stains on the linens & curtains; also the room could benefit from being deodorized Other than that, I enjoyed my stay and would recommend to others

Definitely clean, which is my #1 concern these days in looking for hotels My whole bed seemed to shake when my neighbor let their room door slam several times overnight I also had a hard time getting my devices on the hotel WiFi until I went to the lobby

Overall a good stay, but you might consider these things when decided which hotel to stay at since there are so many in the area of similar price/quality

Steve Biskie

Arrived today 30 minutes after the start of checkin-and it was a mess There were people in front of me saying they had been in line for 30 minutes Apparently the hotel is sold out today, a bunch of guests checked out late, the cleaning crew was still working but not communicating which rooms were ready in real time, and the staff was visibly flustered

The room quality was very good, however, and I like that there is a small refrigerator There is also ample desk space and a comfy bed

The staff was awesome I had a procedure done and needed an early check in They didn’t have the room I reserved ready so they upgraded me free of charge

The rooms are awesome Everything was clean, the bed and couch were both very comfortableThe grounds are really pretty and the hotel is close to several restaurants for convenienceI will definitely be back the next time I’m in the area

Tabatha Evans

I love this location The rooms are very spacious They have a stove, refrigerator, microwave, eating table, utensils

There is a couch and a work desk There was a basketball court, fire pit and pool on site Breakfast is served in the mornings until 10am on weekends It is a pet friendly hotel Very comfortable pillows and comforter If they had a Jacuzzi it would be perfect! Loved this hotel

Kareem Carter

The service was fine The breakfast was not what I’ve become accustomed to at Residence Inn even post COVID Also they need to fix the clasp to lock the door for my specific room

I’ve never seen where the clasp could lock upon exit It took about 30 minutes for a maintenance worker to unhook it and that was at 10:30p 😡Otherwise it’s a good location There is a Food lion about 3 minutes away and a Chic Fil A within walking distance

Needed a place to stay at the last minute and one with good reviews which this one had so I booked The night manager was accommodating and friendly but my room was not in the best shape There was a large sticky spot on the night stand due to what looked like a spilled drink and there was quite a bit of hair in the bathroom

Luckly I travel with wipe antibacterial wipes and cleaned the spill up because it was to late to have housekeeping come I called the next day about the hair and several hours later, the bathroom was cleaned The next day, housekeeping knocked on my door 2xs even while I had my do not disturb sign up Have no idea why, they just said sorry when I answered I never once was offered any kinda discount These rooms cost to much to have these issues Good luck Hopefully, you will have a better experience like the rest of the folks have had

The top pro of the hotel is the pool They’re very serious about only guests entering, which I appreciated It’s a large indoor/outdoor pool

Seating was good & towels were plentiful The grounds seemed nice with a pond, volleyball, tennis, and basketball courtsWe got a suite with a sofa bed and 2 double/queen beds I appreciated that the sofa bedding & pillow was in a nice package The beds were fine The flooring and furniture was super old and stained No USB plugs anywhere, which was shocking Definitely some updates neededWe specifically asked and were told that there was a complementary breakfast buffet in the morning Imagine our surprise to find that it was a paid breakfast in a restaurant! Even the wording on their paperwork (attaching pic) sure seems unclear Hoping they add at least a simple breakfast or counsel their employees to be more specificOverall, would return Location was good and room was decent for price

Laurie White

It is a nice hotel but the sauna and jacuzzi were out of service July 2022 The restaurant served good food and the staff was kind and respectful Breakfast buffet served the basics for $14

Dinner entrees ranged about $30 a plateI had to call housekeeping to make the beds and change towels The hotel is tucked behind business centers so not quite in a shopping/recreational location You definitely need a car to get around

Felicia P

My family and I choose to stay here every year in July and we throughly enjoy the experience The hotel staff is fantastic and go above and beyond with their accommodations The only comment I have is that I wish the hotel would power wash the balcony of rooms that have it

It desperately needs a good cleaning regularly The bars had some rust on them as well

10/10!! My boyfriend and I had the best experience here this weekend Very clean and the bed was so comfortable! Parking was confusing but the location of the hotel is amazing Walking distance from good food, bars, shops, and a Sunday morning farmers market! The staff is LOVELY! Monia and Kelsie were so sweet and hospitable and need a raise!! This is our new favorite hotel!

Maja Peklic

Very nice hotel in the heart of Raleigh North hillsIf you are staying on a lower floor of the hotel looking towards the busy street with bars and restaurants, there is a tendency that it could be a bit noisy in the room – especially on the weekendsThe service is really friendly and outgoing! The breakfast is delicious

One weakness is that there are not many gluten free options for breakfast – so if you are on a gluten free diet there won’t be many carb options (no gluten free bread, oats, cereals) for you for breakfast Nevertheless, fruits, cheese, meat and eggs are still a delicious option

Richard Benzinger

The place seems to be trying hard to keep things cheap, while disguising this fact as modern elegance and simplicity The room has an Ikea-like open coat rack rather than a closet And the bench/shelf/desk thing across from the bed looks like Motel 6 with some accent lights added

In fairness: it’s clean; it’s convenient; the desk clerks are friendly enough But I couldn’t begin to imagine anybody thinking of this place fondly

I booked a room for just me and my husband Friendly and amazing staff Great stopping point if heading down to Florida from northeast

Rooms are clean, updated and comfortable Dog friendly, I didn’t have a dog with me but the dogs that were there were super cute I could hear screaming kids from the hallway but in the rooms, it was silent so great sound proofing so you don’t have to worry if your kids are being too loud/ worried that you won’t sleep because there’s a family next door Great hotel for the price Designated smoking areas around back with benches, which was nice Highly recommend for anyone! 😄

Regina Curry

My children and I lived at this hotel for several months while I was looking for a permanent residence The staff is very attentive and the rooms are beautiful They took care of every problem that came up during our stay and they did it quickly

Every staff member worked with a smile and were so nice that they started to feel like family I was very impressed with them and the hotel is very clean

Charles Santee

I called the hotel and asked about my truck and trailer and if the would accept 3 dogs I told them my trailer was 34ft long attached to a truck and I have 3 German shepherds The said yes they accept dogs and that there is plenty of room to park

So I booked a 6 week stay It was not a pleasant check in to start the stay Got in the hotel and the kitchen trash cans were still filled with trash Thursday of the first week they asked me to park out on the street I told them that there is no parking on the street that it was illegal to do so with streets that do not have parking So we told them we would check out Sunday and they got rude and told us we had 3 dogs and that was not allowed I told them well I’m checking out Sunday so they don’t have to deal with it that long In the process they have a private dive for the dumpster where we parked it for Friday night per our agreement Then took pictures of a empty lot for Friday and Saturday Which you will see on Saturday where there was plenty of space to park my truck and trailer If you are a contractor with big trucks this hotel will be the worst place to pick

This facility is not very clean The hallways were warm, musty, and smelled like cigarettes Our room, while generally clean, had a hole in the ceiling plugged with a towel

When we showed the front desk they moved us to another roomWhich had a giant cockroach in it! The front desk staff were so kind, but my husband and I decided to leave without even staying the night Additionally, we were told that cleaning staff would not be coming to our room so we should check in at the front desk for towels? Very odd experience Would not recommend until major changes are implemented regarding cleaning standards

Kristin Pridgen

I booked this hotel for a last minute overnight stay The hotel lobby was nice, but the rest of the hotel was very outdated and needed repairs The a/c in the fitness center didn’t work-at all

The hallways were dark (this is an aesthetic opinion) and smelled musty and like old cigarettes The room itself emphasized the updates that are needed The shower had mold along the caulking and was very dated Also, the clean(?) towels and towel rack were located INSIDE the shower I’ve never seen that before Lastly, I’m not sure if my room was even cleaned before I checked in There were coffee(?) stains on the wall I was thankful this was a short, one-night reservation; otherwise, I would have cancelled my stay

Sherer

Normally I have nothing but great things to say but last stay there was food left over from someone else in our fridge and coffee cup rings still on the sink I get short staffing so didn’t say anything but still a bit gross However the staff is super friendly and very welcoming

and having a Sheetz right across the road is nice and it’s close to the Ritz which is where we normally go when we stay in Charlotte Pillows are super tiny is really my only complaint

I would have given this Hotel of 5 Star but they turn the water off from 10:00 am to 3:00 p

m upon check-in they said that the water would be off from these hours, but the water was off until after 5:00 pm That is a really long time to be without running water Water is very crucial in the mid-time of the day There is no water to access the shower, sink, and the toilet Imagine how gross that could beThe staff is very nice They have breakfast in the morning that includes a cold sandwich that you can heat up, yogurts, muffins and other items Items There is coffee out the majority of the dayThe rooms were clean and the room was very spacious I had a fridge and a microwave in my room I’m not sure if all the rooms are equipped with this, but you can request one upon checking inAll in all I enjoyed my stay And there is a hotel shuttle to and from the airport although it does not run all dayI apologize I did not take any pictures But I promise I will upload them next time

B Smith

Clean and well maintained Airport hotel Prompt and pleasant checking Room is clean and well maintained

Big plus for this hotel if proximity to RDU, airport shuttle and complimentary parking for the duration of your travel Breakfast is provided in the lobby Lobby also has several computer terminals I have stated here several times and it is always pleasant

Amy Whittaker

This was a quick one night stay Front desk staff very friendly Room was nice, very comfortable, clean

Good location Wish the grab and go breakfast selection was better As we were leaving to checkout, my daughter and I got stuck in the elevator for about 30 mins and the fire dpt had to come We were fine and had no problems, funny now Firemen were so kind and carried all of our luggage down the stairs Ladies at front desk were so shocked, apologetic and kind, and we had a little laugh I knew it was a fluke thing but I’m a little leary of elevators now I would stay here again though, nice hotel and staff Very memorable stay!

My partner arrived before I did & received one key Once I arrived, I asked for a key and the lady at the front desk informed me that I had “e-checked-in” I had not

She asked me how I knew my room number if I had not “e-checked-in”, in which I proceeded to tell her that my partner had already checked-in (he told me the rm #), but he only received one key I had to ask for a key 3 times before she gave me one (after showing id) The lady did not inform me of breakfast, any amenities or the check-out timeAs a Diamond status member have have the ability to do late check-out, in which we wanted to do We called the front desk & was told we had until 1230 (typically we would have a much later time than this)I value hospitality and great customer service- unfortunately we did not receive it here

Our stay here was one of the best hotel stays I’ve had in a while! The staff; everyone from the front desk, to housekeeping, to facilities, were SO friendly and accommodating My husband had to work during our stay and the wifi was strong and there were plenty of little nooks to camp out in around the lobby when he wanted to leave the roomThe pool was HEAVEN for a toddler

Seriously, I would travel hundreds of miles for this pool It wore my kid out and I didn’t even have to get inEverything was clean and comfortable and the hotel smells amazing I’ll definitely be back when I’m in the area!

Traci BV

The rooms are nice, spacious and clean, we stayed for two nights The hotel staff was friendly Michelle, the manager is extremely nice and accommodate me for a one night stay after we tried to check in but was told all the rooms were sold out

Not sure how that could happen when we had a reservation Nevertheless, we were given a free night so it was ok The stay itself was anything but peaceful Constant jumping and running above our room the first night, then on night two screaming kids, loud TVs and running on the second night I dealt with both incidents for hours until I finally reached out to the hotel staff On night two of the loudness, I reached out to the staff at close to 10pm The staff came upstairs directly to the room that was making the noise on night two, so I appreciated that Although while lessened, they just turned up the TV extremely loud watching a movie until after midnight I just tried to fall asleep and eventually did Needless to say, it wasn’t an enjoyable or peaceful trip I used to enjoy staying here pre-pandemic Not so much now They are constantly booked to capacity it seems and I understand why, it’s in close proximity to a lot of places and walkable But, I can’t recommend this hotel because of the noise factor alone Either the walls are extremely thin or this hotel attracts very rude people Either way, I won’t be back Two stars for the staff

We enjoyed our stay here Liked the modern design of the property, plenty of areas to relax and enjoy outdoors Pretty good rooms, though wear and tear shows and the property could be cleaner overall

Though the restrooms in the lobby were spotless We had dinner and breakfast at the restaurant on property, though I personally enjoyed breakfast more The staff did let us know in advance that the menu was limited and they were short staffed at dinner, but it was still a good experience, no significant delays or bad food We had burgers and tacos and wings as appetizer at dinner, loved the wings and burger, tacos could be better At breakfast we had pancakes, French toast, and corned beef hash, all were very good And Staff was very friendly

Maria Battista Hancock

The staff is friendly and helpfulThe ambiance is welcoming and relaxingConvenient location to NC State and Raleigh area!Close to public market -open 365 days a year🙌!Great trails for running/walking just outside by the lake!Delicious & healthy breakfast choices

We loved our stay at Stateview Hotel in Raleigh The staff & management team have done a tremendous job keeping services smooth even throughout the pandemic One of our TOP favorite place to stay for sure! Cheers to all the employees🥂👌 thanks for your care and attention to details!

Allison Wardenfelt

This is one of my top favorite Marriott hotels to stay at! I would come back to Raleigh just to stay a few nights at this hotel I love that it’s in the university campus! It’s surrounded by trees and nature which is so rare to find in a hotel these days! The lobby, patio, deck and pool area are simply amazing! So inviting to just hang around! They even offer free recreational games to play on their lawn! There is an ice and water machine in each hallway! This was a huge perk for us since we take our refillable water bottles everywhere! The hallways smell amazing because they have a diffuser running in each hallway as well The rooms were fantastic! They weren’t your standard boring hotel decor

Each room has wolf decor including the pillows and blanketsThis hotel does cater to alumni and parents of current students but I absolutely loved my stay here and would stay again whenever I am in Raleigh

I stay here every year around my birthday when I travel to visit my best friend and also travel to the beach The beach is two hours from here so a nice day trip As for here they are always friendly, accommodate my service dog and other small dogs, and it’s modern

I know I can count on it to be clean and reliable each time I visit The pool is heated and wonderful, although it’s currently closed for covid But in the past years I’ve enjoyed it They’ve got a bad and an area to hang out with other guests as well as a gym Definitely recommend

Juanita Covarrubias

Made a last minute trip to visit my son and was looking for a hotel near the airport The hotel looked great online and it offered airport shuttle so I was sold I arrived later in the evening and I waited about 15 minutes for the shuttle so that wasn’t bad

The driver was a little quiet and not very talkative I asked about eateries in the area since I hadn’t eaten all day and he wasn’t very helpful I still tipped him During checkout I found out by the front desk the shuttle can take you within 5 miles of the hotel Check in was quick The bar was open and was a bit rowdy The lobby looks like a dirty college recreation area Pool table looked rough When I asked the front desk while checking in about food options she gave me some places then stated they were probably closed I got out of the elevator and the hallway was dark and a bit creepy I can handle myself, but I didn’t feel the safest Hurried to my room The room was tiny and the bed looked like someone had been laying on it The AC was musty and dated The TV stopped working and had a No Signal message I called the front desk and she told me she didn’t know because I was the only one with the problem I ended up buying a frozen dinner, chips and drink from their food vending area for $15 There is no complimentary breakfast Everything had a price on it I paid $160 for the room, but no breakfast? I probably won’t stay there again

Chris White

Stayed there to catch a 6am flight and the shuttle started at 4am The staff was helpful Got dinner at the hotel and the wings were great

The breakfast was an addition to the room but was great – croissant with real eggs and real bacon The Tesla charger was one of the few configured correctly and showed was charging at 47 amps – 10 kW

From the front desk staff (5/2/22- sorry I don’t remember names but there’s the date so they can be recognized if they worked that day), to the waitress Maya in the restaurant to the wonderful sweet housekeeper (5/3/22) that waited outside our room at checkout to give us more time! I mean it was amazing! I’m a Marriott girl but The Mayton is my new spot for sure The complimentary bikes for rent are a cute touch that we enjoyed using The rooms were clean and spacious! Room service the next morning was hot and speedy as well! I can’t say enough about this place! We can’t wait to return!

Such a gorgeous hotel! Everything here is just luxury!!! I took a small tour of the building and every moment was unforgettable! Every room is very fancy inside, so I think you will enjoy your stay! The rooms are a bit pricey, but I think it’s worth every penny! If you are looking to stay in Downtown Cary, this is the place to go to! I would 100% recommend this place!

Decent hotel, though not what I was expecting Online, this place exudes a boutique hotel vibe In person, it felt like we were at any given chain hotel

Our room had noticeable dust on the walls, which was random One of the towel hooks in the bathroom was also broken The room has a “noise masking” (white noise) feature, but the loudest setting was still surprisingly quiet We were disappointed by this, as the noise from the restaurant down below was considerable during the evening There are hardwoods throughout the place, which makes it a little noisier than other hotels I’ve stayed in Breakfast at the restaurant was good, though pricey Parking is a trick, though you likely know that going into it (parking in downtown Cary isn’t great in general) Overall, I’m not sure I would recommend this hotel to my friends or family It’s not a horrible place by any stretch, just not great

This Sheraton has surely seen better days and unfortunately basic cleanliness is not a priority Club level rooms have never bed/headboards and an eclectic mix of toiletries Lounge is very very basic, but the snacks are decent and staff is very kind, so if you are already here, I recommend upgrading

Poor soundproofing offers extra entertainment, however also poor sleep Not where I would stay again by choice

Hotel is in need of a refresh The facilities in general seem a little rundown at best and in some cases, just not that clean Housekeeping was very inconsistent

One day I received fresh towels and nothing else Another day my entire room was cleaned And on another day, the housekeepers failed to close my door properly — when I returned to my room at 5pm the door wasn’t latched and I could just push it open (The same thing happened to another guest on my floor) Fortunately nothing was missing from the roomI will avoid this place next time I’m in Raleigh

Really wasn’t anything special about the hotel No pool or microwaves in the rooms They have a microwave at the front desk they can use to heat stuff for you, but the night staff wasn’t the friendliest about it

The pillows are all really thick We paid for a room with a tub but that’s not what we got We were credited for the difference Definitely not worth the price

I had an amazing time this Valentines weekend Rooms were clean, food was good, bed slept nice This hotel needs to change from 4 star to 5

We had a gift package for two which consists of champagne 🍾, Strawberry 🍓, Chocolate 🍫 and breakfast buffet, it was beautiful however, I did not drink the champagne but love the chocolate We shopped, had dinner at firebird, and enjoyed a movie, (Marry Me)😍🥰 This is a very nice reasonable price hotel along with shopping areas and wonderful places to eat and just a walk away Please check them out!!!!
