Hi all, my review is for the restaurant only as I’ve never stayed overnight as a guestIf I had to use just one word to describe my experience it would be “WOW!!” Everything about the restaurant was fantastic It’s tucked away on a side street away from the hustle and bustle of Cookman Ave

and the boardwalkI had halibut which was a special that night and my dining partners had short ribs and crab cakes I ended my meal with a delicious piece of cheesecake We all shared our meals and couldn’t stop raving about how delicious everything was The wait staff was extremely personable and attentive This was truly a top notch experience My only regret is that despite only living ten minutes away, I never tried this place sooner For anyone looking for a great dining experience by all means do not pass this place up, you will not regret it Enjoy!!!

One and done This place needs a major renovation Dingy feel, torn and outdated furniture

Pool area is a mess with rotted wood and fixtures The room was bare and dirty The bathroom tiles full of mold The ceiling fan covered in nasty dirt The bathroom towels are thin and measly The climate/ac is controlled by floor I could go on Also, didn’t realize hotel is not necessarily walking distance to beach or other parts of Asbury Park entertainment and dining area Only positive was friendly, but not particularly welcoming, front desk staff There are much better options at this price point

Tom Miller

We loved our long weekend at Hotel Tides It is a small hotel in a renovated older building, but the prices are reasonable and the amenities are terrific We decided to skip the beach for the 4 days we were there and just stay by the pool

So relaxing to be able lay by the pool with a g&t (or two or three) and a pretty delicious lunch The entire staff was friendly and extremely accommodating Special thanks to Michael Sanatcroce who filled us in on all the important information upon check-in in and all weekend Ryan, and artist Michael on the desk at night were also great!

This was my second time at the Lillagaard and I can’t wait to come back A couple of the rooms are really great for a solo traveler- mine had a view of the ocean! Speaking of, there are nice porches here to just sit and chill on a rocking chair The owners are really kind and helpful, and leave out awesome cookies and sweets along with helpful maps and guest information

The breakfast is quite tasty, and that makes it a really great deal for this area It’s also steps from the ocean and a really beautiful pier, both of which are way less crowded than asbury park I think ocean grove is really healing, quiet and beautiful Youll also be steps away from amazing food and cute shops in the area Highly recommend coming here to unwind

Katrina Corallino

What a pleasant place ! Family owned Super beautiful and comfortable room Free continental/ buffet breakfast that was made hot and to order

Beach chairs, towels and umbrellas all complimentary Close to the beach Super quiet Multiple decks with rocking chairs We will definitely be back !! Wish we could’ve stayed longer Thank you!

Barry Lovelace

It’s been awhile since I have stayed here, but so happy to be back They simply think of everything from making sure the Kuerig is always fully stocked to having a bucket out front with clean water (they seem to empty and fill it often throughout the day) to rinse sand off your feet before entering The room (Ocean View room) was very clean with a great ocean view and ocean sound

Highly recommend and already booking another trip or two during the next few weekA!

I hosted a family brunch here and would highly recommend doing so There were 15 adults and few young children coming, so in booking Maria asked if we wanted to use a private dining room I was thrilled to be offered that option, and luckily the Regency Room was available which overlooks the pool and boardwalk/ocean

The staff was nice and accommodating and the food options were great

A stone’s throw from the ocean, The Breakers on the Ocean Hotel and Restaurant is a superior establishment by any measure Featuring an unbeatable location; beautiful views; clean, comfortable, quiet rooms; a delicious made-to-order breakfast; and a refreshing outdoor pool with plenty of chairs, towels, and umbrellas, The Breakers is the perfect place to relax and get-away-from-it-all Lunch ordered and served by the pool was quick and easy – the house salad with house-made dressing was delicious

A drink before dinner on the expansive porch leaves time for reflection, reading, or conversation while the sun sets behind the hotel and the cool breezes blow The restaurant was an added, unexpected bonus In a comfortable dining room with excellent service, the food was scrumptious The Cold Antipasto for Two, Veal Scallopini and Shrimp Scampi are highly recommended Mashed potatoes for the table rounded out the meal leaving no room for dessert Miles of boardwalk (free of t-shirts shops and carnival rides) provide respite for walking or running alongside the ocean and away from cars On top of all this, Spring Lake, within walking distance of the hotel, is a quaint town with a wide variety of shops Highly recommended!

My husband and I have been going to the Breakers for years It is a family owned nostalgic oceanfront hotel with an excellent restaurant We love going there in the winter time when it isn’t busy

The restaurant is quiet that time of the year and you never have to wait for a table The waiters and waitresses work very well together they even compliment each other on how one and other are hard workers and they seem to get along very well while working together They even compliment the chefs when you ask about food suggestions Carlos and his team were awesome We had breakfast lunch and dinner there I think the prices are fair and the quality of the food is excellent Housekeeping does an excellent job as well Our room was very clean My only complaint about the room it was hot I had to crack the window and we didn’t have the heat on We did have a little hiccup with our room upon checking in which never happened before We were assigned the wrong room category I spoke to the manager on duty and she was super accommodating along the same lines as Disney I was super impressed I have never been treated so nice and professional outside a Disney Resort The main reason we vacation with Disney is because of how the staff treats the guests and I think the Breakers rates right there You do not normally find that level of service at the Jersey Shore You can see the staff really take pride in this hotel A lot has changed for the worse with some of my favorite places since COVID but not the Breakers Please continue to keep up the good work and we will be back Thank you so much for a much needed enjoyable relaxing stay over President’s Weekend

There aren’t enough words to describe how incredible this B&B isMy family stayed here for our reunion, and from the beautiful rooms to the perfect location (just a block away from the beach & a couple blocks from main street) to the delicious home-cooked breakfast by the owner each morning, this is by far the best B&B I have ever stayed atThey have bikes, beach chairs & beach towels that you can borrow for free

The rooms are clean, the bed was very comfortable, the decorating is beautiful, and best of all, the owners truly care about your stay & make you feel completely at homeWithin the 1st day, it felt as though Victoria, her husband, Dave, and all the staff were a part of our familyI highly recommend staying here if you ever get an opportunity!

What a excellent two day stay in Ocean Grove! Let me tell you about The Carriage House It feels like your staying in a mansion in a Victorian Day It is furnished top to bottom in beautiful treasures – not a speck of dust anywhere

This place looked as clean as if Joan Crawford cleaned it herself! 😂 The owner Victoria – a real Victorian doll as well! How refreshing it was to see somebody beautifully dressed, welcoming – Obviously loving her life and The B&B she + hubby created! Here’s a list of awesome stuff:1) The most amazing healthy Delicious homemade breakfast every morning! **LOW CARB** I believe almost everything was organic she makes organic mint ginger water for you to drinkIt was the best food we ate the whole time – we wished she made dinner too 🥰 you can smell the coffee and yummy cooking early it’s awesome!2) Location, location, location! Walk to it all from The Carriage House3) Loaner bikes for short people! She lent me her own three wheeler and it was great!3) A dining room and reception filled with antique candy jars full of cookies! 🥸😎5) You can leave your leftovers in the fridge and get them later at night – filtered water for you at any timeIt’s clean as a whistle and every room is expertly decorated, you will never want to leave! The owners are warm and welcoming they really care to make your stay the best possible

I don’t know where to begin-everything was great! Dave was an amazing host that made sure we had everything we needed We were offered a room with a balcony just out of pure kindness as it was available The Carriage House OG, LLC indoor and out is beautiful! The rooms are like out of a movie set I felt like so perfectly designed with every detail even cotton rounds and swabs

The breakfast buffet was amazing from Nutella crepes, three different choices of quiches, pancakes, sausage, fruit and juice Round the clock tea which was amazing! Coffee in the morning was also great with milks and sugars available The dishes were all china and were beautiful! Beach chairs, well kept bikes, beach towels and a block away from the beach! The neighborhood is very nice victorian cottage like homes Street parking we found easy during our stay right outside the inn Not sure how it is on season though with beach goers The beds were very comfortable with lots of blankets to keep warm if need be We felt like we were home with how awesome Dave and the rest of the staff were caring for our stay We definitely plan to return in the future as the stay was amazing! Thank you!

Nice, clean and Quaint for a lovely getaway in Spring lake Comfy bed, nice living room and outdoor deck and pool I’ll be back because Spring Lake NJ is beautiful and this hotel is only a couple of blocks from the beach

The front desk attendant Renee is so helpful and friendly and the manager Matthew is terrific and runs the facility wonderfully! Very good continental breakfast selection as well!! I needed a break from the Hilton and Marriot’s Sitting on the front porch on a rocking chair with a view of Spring lake was so soothing!!!!! I’m rejuvenated…

Be Prepared To Be Escorted Out By The POLICE if You Complain About Room Cleanliness and Service! If you stay at The Hewitt Wellington and find the service or your room unsatisfactory, and complain to the manager Matt, you will have to answer to the POLICE!I had booked room 18 a few months ago for a 3-day weekend stay in July Knowing that most Spring Lake hotels are outdated I called the front desk ahead of our stay, and asked if room 18 had been remodeled I was assured that it was

Upon checking in I found our room not to have been remodeled nor to be sanitary There were greasy and questionable stains on the sofa, curtains and bed After my initial complaint about multiple issues with the room, the on-duty front desk assistant manager Bridget did not apologize for this inconvenience however, offered a discount upon checking outUpon checkout I was instructed to speak with Matt, the manager I began in a very friendly tone telling Matt the issues with the room:-Questionable stains-Nobody cleaned our room the entire stay-The mattress on the sofa had springs sticking out and was extremely uncomfortable I was in significant pain after sleeping on it-Miscommunication about the room being remodeledMatt proceeded to cut me off The on-duty manager did not allow or want to hear from a guest, instead he offered to print out the definition of the word remodeled I declined He then said “the customer is not always right” and proceeded to verbally abuse me He said he wasn’t going to offer proper discounts and that if I did not like the hotel I should leave at onceOn my calm remark that I found it unbelievable that a manager shall allow himself to talk to a customer in such a rude way, Matt called the police to escort me from the hotel Allow me to repeat this, the on duty manager in the hospitality industry decided to call the police on a guest speaking and voicing genuine concernsI am bewildered at this hotel’s complete lack of service, mistreatment and abhorrent behavior by management

M S

I checked into the Hewitt Wellington on Monday, June 13th, 2022 at approximately 10 pm The front desk was closed and it is important to note that the lights were off

I could not see the notice on the darkened desk that gave the after-hours help number Contrary to what Mr Johnson, the manager, later claimed, there were no other notices in the reception area for the after-hours phone number There was an envelope with my room key on the desk Unfortunately, the key was not for the suite that I reserved, but for a smaller room The result was I had to sleep on the floor that night as I gave the bed to my daughters Next morning, the front desk clerk admitted the hotel’s mistake and was very apologetic and helpful The first chance that I had to speak to the manager, Mr Johnson, was on Wednesday I informed Mr Johnson of the hotel’s mistake and the fact that I had to sleep on the floor Monday night Mr Johnson informed me he would only refund me the difference between the price of the small room and the suite for Monday night In light of the inconvenience caused by the hotel’s mistake, I was of the opinion that Mr Johnson could have done better to redress this This was and is not about the amount of money involved, but the fact that I wanted some acknowledgement that the hotel had fumbled this situation Mr Johnson was unfortunately not apologetic or indeed professional as regards my respectful sharing of the facts with him When I asked to speak to the owner, I was informed that the Hewitt Wellington was owned by a Home Owners’ Association and that Mr Johnson was where the buck stopped, so to say Mr Johnson then offered to take one night off my three night stay, if I left immediately Again, all I was looking for was a token acknowledgement of the inconvenience caused by the hotel’s mistake Mr Johnson badly needs a refresher course in Hotel Management 101 and Good Manners He seems to be of the opinion that he is not answerable to the Home Owners’ Association board that hired him, but I will continue to share my experience with the Spring Lake Chamber of Commerce and other appropriate bodies

My wife and I stayed at The Majestic over the Memorial Day weekend and enjoyed our stay very much The rooms are large with plenty of space, a nice balcony, and a huge bathroom The water pressure in the shower was particularly pleasant, and we liked the dispensers mounted on the walls

Our hosts at the front desk– Nancy, Emily, and Valerie were very friendly, helpful, and accommodating, and made sure we had everything we needed (Emily even remembered us from our check-in the previous year) I thought it was very sweet that they always checked up on my wife when I mentioned she had a bad sunburn from our Friday at the beachThere was a continental breakfast setup on the weekend with various pastries, muffins, bagels, fruits, cereals, yogurt parfaits, etc but there is also a single-serve coffee maker in the room Beds were comfortable and the AC kept the room coolThe hotel is in a great location with a very short walk to most of the shops and restaurants in Ocean Grove and equally distant to the beach and boardwalkWe were so happy we already booked another stay and are eagerly looking forward to our return visit this summer!

alexandra p. santiago

Well it’s not what we expected The title is Majestic Hotel, so with that being said their should be a staff 24/7 Out of the 3 different staffs we met in our 2 day stay Erin was the only person who was accommodating and kind and informative

But I felt bad he has alot in his plate and they are extremely understaffed We never met the owner Breakfast was not what we expected for the price Rooms need to be quiet too much tapping and ac was dripping on thr Bureau which caused additional tapping Bathroom rods are rusted and dispenser didn’t have soaps Restaurant was closed Basically for the price it was not what we expected AREA IS BEAUTIFUL, near the Beach and places to eat

Polina Kaganovich

So happy I booked a room at the Majestic for an extra day in Ocean Grove following a breast cancer retreat One of the pricier options in the area, but well worth it esp if you want to treat your self Not even a full block away from the beach & even the smallest room is more than enough for a couple, muchless myself

& the minifridge, microwave & shower prpduct dispensaries are amazing Yes the structure is old & you’ll hear pipes, but so charming, just my style & my room had pretty modern furniture And the staff? So nice & accommodating! Emily offered some help with check in times without me even asking & check out day came with an offer to use their facilities until I left later that day I’ll do some saving & definitely be back here!

By far the worst hotel experience I have ever had Cut stay short because the bed was so uncomfortable that my husband could barely walk after night two Was told the beds are a common complaint

Mattress on metal frame that sits about 8” of the ground Next, the noise You can hear people yelling outside the hotel like they are in your room Also, there is no common courtesy to the noise in the hallways from the late night partiers We actually changed our stay to this hotel from another choice because the other hotel made it clear on their site that their hotel could be noisy until 2 or 3 in the morning because of the club attached to it Respectfully Then on night 3 someone apparently set of the fire alarm No notice to evacuate from the hotel staff at all Seen fire trucks and decided to head downstairs along with all the other people who were unsure as to what to do The loudspeaker said to wait for further instructions well that never came No explanation, no we are so sorry, nothing They obviously had no clue what to do in an emergency situation All just kept their heads down like please don’t ask us any questions, we have no clue what we are doing I completely understand that party events are held at this hotel… but… you have other paying guests that also deserve common courtesy and should experience a good stay and not kept up at 2 am as well Definitely would not stay here again or recommend it to anyone

Kim Gabelmann

We had made these reservations several weeks ahead of time because we were traveling with two chihuahua’s We were extremely disappointed that when got our room – it was teeny tiny on third floor looking over the back of a roof AC system – since we were booked for three nights – this was just not going to work for us We were pleased that the front desk was somewhat receptive – and they moved us across the hall – where it was the same size room but just not looking into roof exhaust system

So that was goodNow that I got that part out of the way let me tell you we loved the hotel – best part for us was that it was very dog friendly- including being able to bring them to the pool (not in pool) , they hung with us in lounge area also with no issuesThe beds are super comfortable and showers are greatThe rooftop bar has amazing views (no dogs allowed up there), often there’s entertainment in the lounge – there was a karaoke show the first night, then a jam band playing the second night – lots of fun with everyone dancingThere’s not really a restaurant at the hotel but you can order some food items at their coffee counter and pool bar (The food and drinks are very very subpar )But there’s loads of great restaurants in the vicinity so that’s part of the stayThey give you a couple of drink tokens at check in and they also give you a credit if you pass on housekeeping which we didThe doorman /bellman – Neil was super friendly and accommodating- special shout out to him🐠Overall this is a great hotel and we will most definitely be returning 🐕🐕‍🦺

I have stayed here in the past and had a good stay, our most recent experience at the Asbury hotel (6/7/2022) was extremely disappointing First off, I paid much more this time around than previous stays, so I was expecting absolute best quality and experience Unfortunately, that was not the case and I am very frustrated at the amount of issues, especially after paying over $500 for one night on a Tuesday night

When we arrived at our room, the thermostat was broken and the room was warm, which we had experienced in a prior visit as well The more troubling thing was that we saw at least 10 spiders crawling on the wall and ceiling within 15 minutes of getting to our room The staff was extremely helpful and gave us a free upgrade to a nice suite However, after arriving to the suite, there were old water bottles near the beds that had leaked onto the shelves The record player was broken and then later at night, all of the lights in the sitting sun room area were flickering, so we could not even keep those lights on and had to use a side table lamp instead It did not seem like a lightbulb issue, since it was all three lights, it seemed like an electrical problem After all these issues, we decided to check out the same night as checking in and went home We have stayed at the Asbury multiple times in the past, but after this recent stay it feels that overall quality and upkeep has really declined Especially since I paid over $500 for one night, I found all of these issues really unacceptable The staff really did their best to try and rectify our issues and they were very friendly and helpful However, after multiple problems, we will look at other properties to stay at in Asbury moving forward The extreme price gouging mixed with the severe decline in room quality just really makes the Asbury hotel not desirable I also reached out via email several days ago about this and have not heard back

A great stay at a charming inn located very close to the beach! The inn has a nice beach/rustic atmosphere and the room was comfortable We were lucky to have the room facing the waterThey have free breakfast, which is prepared by our most gracious host Joe

The breakfast is top notch and certainly a great start to the dayAll of the workers in the building are very helpful and friendlyThey offer nice deals on beach passes, bike rentals, and other beach necessities**Warning for pet owners: the booking websites falsely labeled the inn as pet friendly The inn doesn’t allow pets but they have a few cottages that do allow pets You may want to call ahead if you’re thinking about bringing your dogWould definitely recommend a stay at this inn!

What a great place! We initially requested a refund due to our plans changing but I’m glad we kept the booking! The best bed and breakfast experience in NJ by far Rooftop terrace is phenomenal and the breakfast was a true delight – the French toast was stellar! Walking distance to everything from coffee shops, steaks, bars, ice cream and Of course the beach The room was comfortable and the bathroom was spacious

I would highly recommend a few hooks maybe on the bathroom doors? to hang the towels Everyone was super welcoming and customer service is superb I will be back with more friends!

This is our second time staying at the hotel The location is great, although the room is a little small, but the room is clean Staffs are friendly and willing to help you

We had problem with the shower head in the room, and we spoke to the front desk They sent someone to look at the problem and had it fixed right away (and it was a Sunday!) We will come back and stay there again

Siena Porta

Rooms: One chair for 2 people in our reserved room, no coffee, no microwave, no refrigerator In room and not available (tho’ provided in ground floor office) Unbelievably loud (and bad) music reverberating until 10:45pm from the ground floor restaurant The closet didn’t even have a crossbar for hangers, just l-hooks on the sides

Plus you pay the same rates as a Hilton They book wedding groups so look out or you’ll get the dregs

Ed Kuehnle

Love our roomVery clean and beautiful viewDisappointed in our dinner and service

A lovely Family run hotel steps away from the beach! The owners and staff were super helpful and friendly There was coffee, pastries, and juice served in the mornings that you could take up to one of the porches to enjoy the weather Our studio was spacious, CLEAN, and had just about everything one would need

I definitely would stay again

Christina LoDuca

The location could not be beat Right across from the beach Our room looked out over the ocean and was a short 5 to 10 minute walk from Asbury Park

The staff was very friendly The only reason it’s four stars and not five was the room (specifically the bathroom) could have been cleaner But overall, I would definitely recommend staying here

Susanne Pinedo

This was my first stay but my friends have stayed many times before and had high recommendations They were so right! Lisa is a wonderful host and goes above and beyond to make you feel comfortable and at home The breakfast was wonderful, coffee out early and treats are available in the afternoon

The porches are lovely with cushioned rockers, ice for your cooler and a fridge to keep your personal drinks/leftovers cold Overall a lovely experience, close to everything and have booked additional stays Looking forward to returning

Dawn Howes

The owners go above and beyond to give that SPECIAL TOUCH to make your stay wonderful I wanted birthday balloons in my friends room waiting for her when she arrived Since I couldn’t be there to set this up, the owner Lisa responded to my email request by calling me and organizing with me over the phone

She took care of everything I needed with such positive energy and made the experience both easy for me and a surprise for my friendsomething we will never forgetAlthough this was my first visit I heard nothing but positive reviews from other quests who were there as wellregulars, who knew the old owner Jimand continue to come back and enjoy the vibe of these new ownersI was impressed with the personal care I was given before and during my visit They offer a small common fridge for guests to store wine/drinks/snacks which was very handy The daily cookies and snacks available were ohh so tempting to tasteand the breakfast was to dye for! The old owner Jim (whom everyone loves) was there cooking breakfast the morning I was thereSUPER Close to the beach this place does not disappoint( i only have one photo of the balloons, it doesn’t even show all she set up for me)

Debbie Bancer

I had not been back since covid and heard there were new owners so I decided to try it I’m so glad I did! Lisa and her husband are the new owners and I could not have felt more comfortable! Family was around lending a hand and that only added to the “ family “ vibe! I booked to come back for my birthday and Lisa went above and beyond to get me the room I wanted!! Clean rooms, breakfast excellent and the feeling of staying at a relatives house all add to the charm of this place!! Can’t wait to come back for my birthday!!

I really like staying at this hotel when visiting Asbury Park The location is ideal if you like splitting your time between Asbury and Ocean Grove, while also having excellent access to the boardwalk and beach Staff are very helpful and most are also very friendly and welcoming–at worst, you might not get a smile

Security is serious here, which is nice because there is a club and pool with a party focus here–I haven’t been to the club, but the pool atmosphere is great But I would imagine that sometimes guests could get out of hand, so seeing security around is nice I’ve spent time here alone and as a single traveler feel very safe and taken care of I love the ocean view balconies and the complimentary weekend breakfast items The rooms are nothing to write home about, except for that balcony, but they are clean and have all the basics Beds are firm, which I like, but pillows are all a bit lumpy If you’re on the ocean side on a higher floor, you won’t hear the club/pool party noise much if at all, but sometimes people bring the party back to their rooms Enjoy it, or bring ear plugsIf you’re not expecting luxury, but are expecting friendly service, a fun adults-only atmosphere, good view, clean facilities and a very sweet pool with a nice bar, you’ll love it hereAsk the front desk for tips on parking when you arrive

The staff at The Empress was so delightful Very professional, kind, and knowledgeable !We felt safe, and I would have felt safe if I were traveling alone Our room was cozy and clean

The balcony was great! That was all that was needed for the quick trip before summer starts So close to the beach and a very comfortable walking distance to shops There are many great food options close by We didn’t check out the club, that wasn’t in the cards For this type of lodging, it is perfectI will definitely be going again And again Thank you!!

The hotel itself inside and outside are always in tip top shape 2- The staff are exceptional, always making sure your needs are taken care of 3- Balconies for every room, you can’t beat that It’s right by the boardwalk, beach and good restaurants So if your heading to Asbury do yourself a favor and stay here

The Albatross Hotel was wonderful! We stayed for a concert in town at the Stone Pony First of all, parking is free (in the road – I figured I’d write this here because I was wondering where to park) When we entered, we were greeted by a very kind man who made us feel at home! The room was extremely clean! We were impressed by how clean the room was for a place that is older

We had a room with a private bathroom (Some rooms do have a communal shower & bathroom) The price was GREAT compared to everything around it, which is why we chose The Albatross Hotel Such a great place – 100% will be staying again!

Lori Krein

I had a good experience staying here I had room 207; with my own sink, and AC The shared bath down the hall was always clean

There were separate bathrooms for men and women; the ladies bathroom had 2 stalls and was clean There was a single shower down the hall, which had good pressure and hot water Breakfast included fruit, muffins, granola bars, and coffee The place has a new owner and is being updated You can’t beat the location for the price! Just a short walk to the beautiful beaches of Ocean Grove and not too far from Asbury Park Discounted beach badges too!

Kelsy Jones

Charming, laid back hotel right on the beach The location in Ocean Grove is perfectly beach-quiet but a quick walk to Asbury Park for nightlife The front desk attendant from Utah is very friendly

Deluxe Rooms have super comfy memory foam mattresses with clean, all white linens and big fluffy pillows It’s exciting to see some updates happening to this historic building

This resort is absolutely amazing! The room, the view, the food, the location, and the staff are ALL outstanding A serious highlight to this resort is the staff! They are top notch, so helpful, professional, and attentiveWe reserved a corner suite with ocean views, it was fantastic! Spacious, comfortable, and luxurious! The bed was perfect and the shower was large, clean, and very modern

I highly recommend booking a stay at this lovely resort, I wish we could’ve stayed much longer!!

Victoria DelCasino

I booked this hotel for myself and a friend to celebrate her 50th and I Highly recommend it Very clean, updated modern decor, great bedding, and AMAZING views from the oceanfront room The staff was professional, efficient, kind and very welcoming

The front desk manager Patrick Muir went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed and then some The addition of a note and chocolates in the room for my friend was a wonderful extra The cafe downstairs that’s open very early for coffee and muffins was so convenient, and lunch at the Catina that’s also attached was delicious! There’s a whole pool area with views of the beach very cool, and there’s separate beach area for only hotel guests is set up with chairs and umbrellas that was awesome This has now become our go to at the Jersey shore

Janie Schmidt

Great location, great service, good for families This is the second time we have stayed here and really enjoyed ourselves Only a few suggestions: Please replace the balcony furniture, it is very rusted

Also, some of the furniture is very stained in the lobby and the sofa in the rooms I wish guests had free access to the ice machine That would be much more convenient than asking for ice to be delivered It’s a great destination for a shore vacation and we plan on returning!

I booked a party of 9 people to stay the weekend at Ocean Park Inn, and what a wonderful experience! The owner, Dominic, was so helpful and accommodating, which really helped with the planning and the whole staff couldn’t have been nicer He really made the plan come together for usThe rooms are clean, and the breakfast was more than adequate, the use of the upstairs guest kitchen came in very handy!!!The location near the beach and near downtown and near Asbury Park couldn’t have been more ideal

Outside of wanting to bring my own pillows because theirs are *very* flat and uncomfortable, this place is a little gem and I look forward to booking a getaway there again before the summer is over!

Rachel Solarek

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a night after a wedding The place was so clean and the room was good for a single night Bathrooms were super clean as well

My only complaint was the bed we had was the most uncomfortable thing I’ve slept on It felt like I was sleeping on the floor honestly The pillows were also very flat and uncomfortable Thankfully we were only there for a night due to that

Rien Jen

I stayed at Ocean Park Inn in early fall last year, and it was a very pleasant experience The room was modest but comfortable; everything was clean and felt cozy But more than anything, it was QUIET

I actually had my window open (2nd floor) for 2 nights before I realized it–that’s how peaceful it was The owners were nice and the exterior looks just like the photo on the website And the location is perfect for hitting the beach or strolling the Asbury boardwalk I highly recommend

This review is for the Spa only!I did the Rejuvenation package where I had a massage, scrub and facial The locker room and lounge area was very nice, it was a gorgeous view even on a cloudy day All services were excellent, however the only odd thing was that after the massage, I had to go back out to the lounge to wait for my scrub/facial

It would have been nicer to relax and do all services in one room But there may have been a reason for that so I didn’t deduct any stars for thatThe services were all great, I really enjoyed the scrubEverything was very clean as wellI also accidentally left all my rings and necklace in my robe that I put in the laundry! They kindly looked for it and found most of my pieces (luckily only one was a real stone which I got back), so I was really happy they were so sweet about that!!

Amazing location Great town Perfect quick getaway from the city

The resort is pet-friendly, which was great The outdoor seating area (equipped with awesome fire pits) and lobby are fantastic The beach and town are great tooThe rooms were Eh Decent size, nice views from balcony, and pretty comfortable beds Shower didn’t drain Door locks were broken TV was fuzzy Things kept falling down/falling off the wall in the bathroom Small stains on carpet Safe didn’t work Bed sheets/covers were scratchy and uncomfortable However, none of these issues were terrible Just inconvenient and an eye sore at worstThe pool was Fine Not terrible, but pretty small and the pool area was underwhelming Disappointed that most of the day, the pool bar was close and there wasn’t really service at the pool for drinksThe main issue was the service Everybody was super nice But took us over 2 hours for lunch with multiple mistakes Would take me 45 mins to get a drink at the bar even with just 5 or 6 patrons sitting there They were missing many ingredients, blenders and other items behind the bar were not working The servers/bartenders were VERY inexperienced and seemed pretty over their heads and incapable of performing the simplest tasks/requests Watched one bartender spend nearly 15 minutes at the computer trying to ring in an order with just two drinksOverall, enjoyed our stay and plan to go back again But rooms definitely need upgrades and service staff needs MAJOR overhaul and training

Neha Naqvi

This review is based on the event services, we worked with Sara! She did a great job in coordinated our child’s birthday event on the beach! Food was made on sight and they were able to accomodate dietary restrictions The beach venue is clean and absolutely stunning with the ocean in the back! Our guests loved the food and ambiance as well as being able to go in the ocean! Would recommend!

Mayfair Hotel lives up to its 2 star name I give it’s 2 stars for location and price There’s more signs telling you what you cant do then anything else

The bed in the room desperately need to be replaced as there were large divots in the bed where people sit up in the morning that slope the bed towards the edge There’s no curtains to block the sun in the morning making it hard to sleep past sunrise and we had to make makeshift curtains in order to enjoy some longer sleep Staff is very hit or miss as some staff are incredibly nice and helpful and some made us feel like we were a burden while existing in their hotel You also feel like you cannot be trusted by the hotel by having to ask for any additional amenity you find at most hotels Want coffee? Gotta ask the desk, want ice? Gotta ask the desk, want to have a guest? There’s a sign right by the stairs letting you know that no one is welcome in their hotel for any amount of time besides paying customers and they have security cameras and wires everywhere to make it known that you can’t be trusted The pool, which would be a selling point for most, was half filled with the shallow kid friendly area bone dry and the pool deck desperately needed a power wash Bottom line is be aware of what your paying for, which is a wonky bed in a small room like the lab rat the hotel believes you are 2 stars atleast the AC worked

We had a lovely stay at the Mayfair Hotel It’s a beautiful building and the room was perfectly minimalist The staff is top-notch; They were so pleasant and accommodating!!!I would absolutely stay here EVERY TIME I’m in the area

Entire staff was friendly and accommodating Hotel was very clean throughout I was traveling with my baby and older son

I felt very safe and comfortable Although our room wasn’t ocean front, we still had a beautiful ocean view Room was clean and comfortable, just small as expected Still a good deal being beach front There’s a large living room with tv and porch downstairs to provide extra space Pool was large, very few people were using it Playa bowl, pizza subs and ice cream a block away

We arrived early, to get some beach time in We were not expecting our room to be ready at 11:00, but it was and we were able to check in Our room was adorable and perfect for the 3 of us It was bright and clean The continental breakfast that was provided was amazing Breads, croissants, hard boiled eggs, fruit, and mini quiches just to name a few of the choices We enjoyed our stay so much that we added an extra day The front porch was the perfect place to sit with a morning coffee or an afternoon cocktail and snacks Our most favorite part was how quiet it was and that the beautiful Spring Lake Beach was only a block and a half away We are hoping to make this a yearly tradition Thank you Spring Lake Inn for making our stay so enjoyable We can’t wait to return!Renee, Grace, and Sandra
