Our room was on the first floor, we had an ocean view but also of the public parking area The view was partially obstructed by parked cars and the car parked next to our balcony The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable

The staff was great and the breakfast for both days were goodIf we go back would definitely ask for a room on the second floor

Holly Randall

The good, the check in was welcoming The location is wonderful as well The bad, there is very limited parking

Our car scraped going in and coming out of the garage The rooms were advertised with an ocean view We didn’t get a ocean view Our view was of town The room is very dated Little details like baseboards and trim are overlooked and dirty The back of our bathroom door was very dirty One of the sinks in the bathroom was very cracked and damaged This was a treat for us on vacation as the room is very pricey The bed was very uncomfortable We both woke up with achy backs Breakfast doesn’t start till 8am which was also very disappointing We booked this in with the promise of a rooftop hot tub Unfortunately that has been removed and instead their was a fire pit Overall such a disappointment We definitely won’t return

Sloane Kaplan

We stayed 2 nights in room 202 and had such a delightful experience We took bubble baths together in the double jacuzzi tub, kept the balcony door open to hear the waves crashing just outside the room all night and slept very well in the firm but contouring bed Barb’s breakfast was hot and delicious (both quiche Lorraine and sausage breakfast burrito) and served with fresh fruit and pastry – arguably the best breakfast in town! Marci and Pilar were very friendly and down to earth hosts with great attention to detail

Cookies hung on the door handle each day were a nice touch

This is one of the best Motels we have stayed in for a long time The view from our third story room was of everything that makes Morro Bay amazing We could watch the sun set over the rock from the ample windows in our front door or pull a chair outside on the walk way to relax

The staff was great, serving coffee in the AM and taking care of our every need Really enjoyed our stayPlease note, there are not coffee makers in the room, but coffee available all day in the front office When you get a coffee from the front office, the come with an inspirational quote taped to the lid It was a very cute touch There was a microwave and fridge in our room Also, there was only one cafe style table in the room for table surfaces But, we spent most of our time watching the views!

Roger Lasater

Truly a great place to stay Rooms are clean and spacious The staff are amazing

It was my first time here, at the suggestion of a friend, and I couldn’t be happier Close to the beach with excellent views from the second and third story windows I was on the ground floor but only had to walk across the street for amazing views and a quick jaunt down the wooden steps brought me right to the strip Special shout out to Jessica for being awesome throughout the process of trip confirmation, check in, and morning coffee with affirmations

Nik Smith

My family and I have stayed here every summer for the past 2 years and this summer we’re planning on going again We love this hotel It’s close to the Embarcadero and beach

The rooms on the 3rd floor give you a lovely view of Morro Rock The service has always been good The complimentary coffee is excellent It can get a bit noisy with the sea lions and activity in the evening, just pop in some ear plugs of you’re sensitive My only gripe is that this year is that the rates went up ridiculously We will have to cut our stay short this summer for that reason This may be the last year we stay at The Landing and that makes me sad

We stayed in the Kelp room on the 1st floor I was concerned about privacy with possible pedestrian traffic by our windows but the windows have a mirror tint Great room with a panoramic view of the Rock, the water and boats

Great location and a comfortable vibe Leah at the front desk and Vanessa at the activities center were terrific Highly recommend and can not wait to stay there again

Lauren Quelette

We stayed here for one night and booked two rooms, one for me and my husband and one for my in laws We paid for Morro Rock view rooms and it did not disappoint! The rooms are smaller, as it is a vintage inn, but they are very liveable The shower was especially nice! We arrived late, and they still checked us in with a smile, which was nice

Lastly, I’d like to say that I’ve been traveling with our small dog for 4ish years now It’s usually just easier to take him instead of paying a sitter This is the only truly pet friendly property we have ever stayed at It’s customary to pay a pet fee, but Bayfront Inn gives you an actual pet goody bag which is adorable!! Bowls were already set up for our pup You can tell that the staff loves animals and it just relieves so much anxiety Thank you!!!

Bethany Kniffen

Such a wonderful stay here! The location is amazing, especially if you like to walk along the water, or even walk to the rock Our room was so clean, and nice The staff was so nice and accommodating! We brought our two dogs, and they welcomed them with the sweetest bag of treats, and toys! (Which we spared the other guests by not allowing the dogs to have the squeaky toys until we left haha) we were lucky enough to have room 20, which has the most amazing view!! Keep in mind this is an older building, so rooms are on the smaller side, but not tiny or unlivable

Even with our two dogs, we didn’t feel to cramped They give you a voucher for a free cinnamon roll next door for each morning Make sure you grab a coffee from Frankie and Lolas with your cinnamon roll! No complaints here, and can’t wait to stay here again soon!!

Kevin Taylor

Really enjoyed my stay The rooms are for sleeping and getting ready in It isn’t fancy but the front office treats you like you are treated in any high end hotel

You are there in walking distance to the shops and restaurants A small museum a short walk away and also whale watching tours Last of all the views from the deck You will love it

I did not get a chance to go here because my grandfather passed away and I have to go back to the East Coast for his funeral and memorial service He was my last living grandparent and we were very close One would think that empathy for my unexpected and sad loss would overshadow a cancellation “policy” especially as I am sure it is easy to find people to book now, when travel is up so much post-COVID

However, despite my pleas and willingness to show paperwork proving the death, the management was incredibly callous and rude to me, insulted me for a lack of communication I had tried to cancel 5 days before he passed away, in anticipation that I would have to cancel since he was in the ICU after a massive stroke and they said no, so I was going to try to make it work so as not to lose $1200, but when he passed away I wrote them again and their response was even ruder They told me to “take responsibility” for my communication, after I was trying to get ahead of it I’ve never been treated with so little human decency in the course of grief and loss Even when I requested to not get refunded and move the reservation to a future date, they refused I have no idea what the experience is like at this actual place but I know that I will NEVER EVER EVER be going there, because I cannot support people are are so cruel and callous I’m truly shocked

Ted Grossardt

We recently spent 4 nights at the Cayucos Sunset Inn We were lucky enough to get a reservation on comparatively short notice, and did not regret it Everything at the Inn is in excellent condition and the innkeepers were very helpful and attentive

The room had a jacuzzi and gas fireplace, which was nice for the cool evenings we experienced Breakfasts were prepared to perfection, and to order Parking is in the back, off the street We were able to relax and enjoy visiting our friends and not worry about our accommodations We walked out the front door and down the hill to the beach, which was itself a treat We can highly recommend this Inn

JMichael Kues

As a previous Cayucos local I was ecstatic to hear that the same people who purchased the Sunset Inn back in the early 2000’s are still there! Their attention to detail is top notch! Everything from check-in to check-out was perfect! Our room was immaculate & serviced well In the room we really enjoyed the large shower over jacuzzi tub, fireplace, & private outdoor area No XXX details, sorry! The location is not oceanfront (which we knew) but it’s literally a 2 minute walk to the sand, coffee shops, great restaurants, bars & shopping! The included daily breakfast is the best you’ll find in Cayucos as well

Be sure to check out Lunada, Schooners Wharf and the Brown Butter Cookie Company Neighboring towns have tons to offer as well! Cambria, Morro Bay and San Luis Obispo being the closest with Avila, Shell & Pismo Beaches just a bit further (25 min) Treat yourself & stay here if you want the best room & service! There are nice hotels on the beach, but this was my first choice!! Hope this helps other travelers 😁

Ghydaa Prather

We stayed for a week and the staff made this trip warm and welcoming from the very beginning They are very accommodating of my GF diet needs, even baked GF cookies for me daily Breakfast was made to order every morning, with coffee, juice, fresh fruit, GF muffin, potatoes and a main dish

The room and bed were very comfortable and if you need something, just ask the staff and you will be taken care of The B&B is one street from the beach access We had an amazing view of the pier from our patio I would stay here again, it was well worth it

Cute Inn, Our trip to Morro Bay was wonderful! The service we received at The Pleasant Inn was great

It is located in a perfect spot Walking distance to shops and restaurants The room was very clean, Nicely decorated with a comfortable bed We would stay there again For sure!! Thank you Pleasant Inn for your hospitality!

Marissa Fish

We stayed here for 4 nights during a last minute port call trip to San Diego Everywhere else was so expensive, we were just happy to get a room For such a low price, I was pleasantly surprised! Everything was very clean and well-stocked and the people behind the front desk during check-in and check-out were very nice and professional

The cleaning crew did an excellent job every day with the room and we never had to ask for replacements or extras They even made up my son’s pack n play! I saw negative reviews about the noise level outside the rooms but we never heard more than a kid yelling once or twice Those things happen in any hotel The water pressure was a little low but I’m attributing that to it being California Our only real complaint was that the sheets and linens were a little starchy and stiff, but it didn’t affect our sleep at all Overall, would book again!

Absolutely beautiful getaway My fiancé and I went here over Memorial Day weekend for a couple days and it was perfect The staff was friendly and helpful, and our room was right on the water with a patio overlooking the water

Great for reading or just relaxing, looking out, and enjoying the view Their breakfast was delicious (try the breakfast burrito with sausage!) and it’s located in a cute town within walking distance of several restaurants and a great local bakery The Back Bay Inn is a gem and not to be missed!

Al E

We enjoyed our 3 night stay at this small motel located right on the bay Good size spotless clean rooms Nice grounds and great view of the bay from every room

Some rooms have a patio or balcony facing the bay Great breakfast and nice wine reception every day Very small business area adjacent to the motel with good dine in or takeaway food options: mexican, Thai, sandwiches, pizza and craft beer/pub food Only drawback is no microwave in the rooms – only a fridge and a Keurig The microwave in the breakfast/ reception room is only available in the morning (8-10) or early evening (4-6)

High Ridge Manor was the perfect landing spot for our couples weekend getaway in Paso Robles Located in a great spot with easy access to tons of vineyards – amazing views and amenities The staff were great and very attentive

We stayed in the Duke and Duchess rooms, but will definitely look to upgrade for our next stay The food and wine were also good and it was a lot of fun watching the chefs prepare dinner and breakfast Can’t wait to go back and spend more time on the grounds

Jessica Hulsey

I had a wedding/family trip at HRM and I’ll start off by saying the venue itself is gorgeous and is an awesome space to accommodate multiple groups traveling together The hosts were super friendly, nice and relaxed and we had an amazing time during our stayThat being said, I HIGHLY recommend booking through Airbnb

I agreed to pay some charges outside of Airbnb based on their recommendation that it would save me money on the app’s fees Unfortunately, it didn’t dawn on me that that meant I was forfeiting Airbnb protections and it ended up costing me a lot of money At the start of the trip I agreed to pay a fee of $450 to have the swimming pool heated for the duration of the trip However, after several texts back and forth between the hosts, we never did manage to get the pool heated the entire time I made the mistake of leaving my Airbnb review before checking what charges were made to my bank account To my surprise I was still charged $450 for the pool heat, even though it never worked I contacted both Lane and Shane separately to ask if I could be refunded and neither of them ever replied to me I can’t help but feel like I was taken advantage of and I hate that such an awesome trip had to end on such a sour note My family had all three of their properties booked and they made thousands of dollars off of us that week so I hoped I would at least get a response back PLEASE book through Airbnb so that if something like this happens to you, you are protected

Cher Russell

Thank you High Ridge Manor for giving us a relaxing weekend We fully enjoyed the beautiful views all around usThe food was delicious

The front staff is very nice Rooms are okay The a/c unit was loud

The shower head was so high up i could not reach it to change the setting so it was a wimpy stream No breakfast available But the front office gentleman directed us to a great place Beds were comfortable Parking was convenient and protected from the elements This place is located such that it’s easy to walk everywhere in their town center

Crystal Scovel

This place has the rudest manager Reserved a room with partial view and got a room with view of houses When I brought a pic of my view to the manager she tried to tell me it was the fog, how the hell is my view of houses and not ocean have anything to do with fog

The only good thing about our stay was the bed was comfortable and it was walking distance

isaiah carmona

I had a great stay at Hotel Avisa in Morro Bay This seems to be a rebranded former Comfort Inn as there is still some of the former branding on some of the items With that said the interior seems to have been refreshed or renewed

The room I was in (302) was an ocean view king with balcony It’s decor was minimalistic, but not in a bad way I prefer this simple look The television allowed me to hook up and utilize my fire stick, although the remote didn’t have an input control, the single control button on the tv allowed me to change the input There was also an open electrical outlet so I figure families could also hook up gaming system if they wanted The room had a Keurig coffee maker in case you wanted to bring your own flavors The sink was outside the restroom which had the toilet and a wide and large walk in shower with virtually no curb The balcony was maybe 35 to 4 feet wide with a decent view The parking was free and not an additional fee Some was covered and some was open air Although the covered parking wasn’t necessarily underground it had the same feeling and may not be accessible to taller vehicles There did seem to be plenty of street parking on the day I stayed Check in was easy and the woman who checked me in was pleasant and helpful The property has a single elevator and stair access for the 3 floors It’s situated blocks away from most things in Morro Bay and if you’re in decent shape walking anywhere should be doable But check your distances before you take my word for it Overall I felt the room I had was worth the price I paid $3xx after taxes for a Friday night

Wonderful stay at the Inn We stayed in a Queen bed room with the Embarcadero viewRooms: The queen room is somewhat small compared to a normal hotel, but there was enough room for the pack-and-play and the baby

Bed seemed to be a memory foam mattress, which was a nice! The complementary candies and coffee were of excellent quality, and the complementary wine was a nice touch The rooms were well-maintained After 10 PM, the door connecting the upstairs to the restaurant closes and requires a key for access During the night, you can hear neighboring doors shutService: We were checked in by Mackenzie The hotel is small, with only ten rooms, so the level of individual service during the day is amazing Be advised that the lobby closes during the night–talk to your host to know where to call in the evenings just in caseLocation: CANNOT BE BEAT You’re placed directly on the Embarcadero, and have a great view no matter which side of the building you’re on The restaurant downstairs has tremendous seafood, beers, and views A quick walk both up and down the street brings you to a wonderful collection of shops, bars, and eateriesYou’re missing out if you don’t give the Inn a try

The location of this hotel in this cute town was top notch By far my favorite stay in a hotel They have a jacuzzi, fire place, fresh towels were sent on request as was a cot with blankets and an extra pillow

Everything was clean The only updates I would suggest is the bathroom and towels There is no water pressure on the shower but I would stay here again and again I did not want to come home I had a balcony and could hear the otters I love that they are hardwood floors We are right on a strip that feels very safe with a beach vibe and tons of food and shops It was oh so cozy ! The weather was also perfect There is a 1940s theater near by and we went to Hearst Castle Love this hotel!

Stayed here for the fourth time and always have an enjoyable time Booked late so got the mini-suite instead of the usual superior King Fireplace room that we booked in the past A little pricey but, it was big, super clean, lots of surfaces to put our stuff on, dual sinks, and a great third floor view

The TV was on the wall was on the small side so made watching TV from the bed a little hard Guess that is what the love seat is for No more free breakfast since the Pandemic so we were expecting that Hope it is back during our next trip The folks at the front desk were very friendly and plenty of parking

Great location, great staff We’ve stayed multiple times and must say that this is a very family friendly and pleasing resort The only one thing I would change is thee restaurant hours

Being open for breakfast would be incredible, but I understand the current staffing issues that might prevent this from being possible Otherwise, all around it is a great and affordable family resort 😉

Upgraded from a standard room to bay view room and couldn’t be happier I love the birds and scenery around the location and the heated pool is AMAZING The pillows are awkward and hurt my neck but the mattress is great

Clean and comfortable room, nice decor and super helpful and kind front desk experience She was funny and so helpful in getting us a room we love Would definitely come back or recommend

My husband and I had an amazing time staying at The Inn at Croad Vineyards It’s just absolutely beautiful and is at the very heart of the wine country It’s very quiet and peaceful here as the property sits on top of the hill (it overlooks the whole valley)

There are only a few units at the Inn which makes it feel very private We slept with windows open and listened to the wind and to the sounds of nature, it was really wonderful There is free breakfast, a cheese plate and comped wine tasting at the Croad Vineyard Special shout out to Rosie who took care of us for breakfast (she was awesome!) and to Martin, the lovely owner! Highly recommend this place!

Chris Strong

Martin has created an excellent experience So much so my wife and I were married here They have a fabulous villa for rent

The grounds and surrounding hills make me feel as though I might be in the Mediterranean As far as the wines, it all red and it’s all delicious Martin takes pride in every detail being just right I’m already looking forward to our next visit

Sea Pines is a beautiful place with a unique spirit My wife and I love it We’ve been there three times already and plan to revisit it in a few months

The golf course is fantastic – it has a scenic view of Morro Bay The rooms are nice and clean We enjoyed our time in the Club House, with super friendly staff and the best breakfasts on the West Coast!

Lauren McAllister

From the pictures on the website, we were expecting a bit more than what the hotel actually is Another review mentions more of a motel than a resort and I’d agree with that The room we were in was run down, the toilet seat chipped and marked and the carpet well worn

There is a shared balcony for the bay view rooms which didn’t allow for much privacy for sitting out However, the staff were all brilliant and the hotel was nice and quiet so our overall stay was OK

Sparky

Came here on Saturday for the live music I was not disappointed Good music, the practice putting green was full of people dancing to the music

They even had a blow up slide for the kidsMusic free but there was a waiver and small charge for your kids to use the big blue up slide

A place that we go for peace, relaxisonAnd a family feeling that staff always shares

They have my highest opinion They have remodeled With new appliances new phones and the overall look From outside inside, It is still the quaint family run place that brings a lot of relaxation to our family The staff is still great So if anything I can say I feel they’ve improved on what I have always considered a home away from home
