Everything was perfectly fine Nothing really to say Although, the pillows were not too soft!!!! I hate too soft pillows

Oh!!!! and the AC unit was not too loud It didn’t run all night long like most hotels It only woke me up a few times AND, the shower water pressure was very nice! I hate having to spit in the air just to get a shower Not at your place!!! The water pressure was very nice! Damnit, now that I think about it, your place was fabulously fine! Pass it on!!!

My fiancé had booked a room online to check-in on 7/22 and to check out 07/24, and paid in cash for 2 two nights We had received a call after one night of stay with a voicemail that we booked for one night and had been checked out and needed to get our things out of the room We called back and kept getting told we booked for night and were asked to show proof of invoice

As we left the family function we came in town for, we realized we had been charged again for that one night when we had already been charged for the 2 nights in April It was the most unbelievable and frustrating experience to be locked out of our room Have to leave in the middle of a family event Have to take a stand that we were not leaving as we had paid Then get double charged and have to show proof of our receipt that should already be available in the system We were also told to email proof to the Joe the Assistant General manager Whom we expected a call apologizing for how things were initially handled after been told a couple of times the hotel was full and we had to check out We were rebooked and the additional fee removed Which we were glad off not sure about any future stays at the Hampton I have a 2 because the staff were nice This kitchen staff very helpful and our first check in and correct check out day was pleasant

My small family stayed here this summer for a couple nights while we explored the park Our room was Anna Hale’s Garret The three of us were very comfortable in this room

The property is beautiful and very close to the falls and other trails My daughter’s favorite thing about this home are the two very affectionate cats that live on the property I really enjoyed walking around the house and looking at all the photos of the host’s family Our host Katie was so wonderful She instantly made us feel at home All in all, we really enjoyed our stay and will come back if we ever find ourselves in the area again

Melissa Heiser Dickerson

We stayed in the Granary with my one year old daughter It was a very rustic charming place for us to rest after spending the hot summer days out exploring The room had everything we needed, a small fridge for drinks and a microwave for snacks (popcorn provided by the Inn)

Our daughter loved running around the grassy yard and petting the very friendly cats Since there was construction on the near by bridge limiting the amount of visitors at Brandywine Falls it was so nice to be able to take a short evening stroll from the Inn to visit them with no one else around The Breakfast was delicious!!!! At first I was a little apprehensive since the options were oatmeal, yogurt parfait, or breakfast breads- But between us we tried all 3 and they were AMAZING! the breads were warm and included two little muffins, the jams and butter were a perfect combination The Inn made me remember how much pleasure can be found with simplicity The Inn keeper Katie was so accommodating and sweet I would definitely recommend staying at the Inn!

Zach Palmer

The Loft is absolutely gorgeous and the property is private and has great location in terms of access to hikes and the park The loft itself has an incredible bathtub and beautiful aesthetics The inn has two very friendly outdoor cats that love to be pet

Breakfast that they serve doesn’t have a ton of options but it is delicious The oatmeal is very good My only criticism is that the walls in the loft are thin, so the sound from the granary comes through and vice versa But I felt very at home here

Bed was comfortable Had a descent breakfast selection Desk Staff was friendly

Cleanliness of the room left something to be desired There was a spot on the carpet below the desk was so sticky that it would almost pull your shoe off The tub and toilet appear to have not been thoroughly cleaned in a while A few more room cleanliness and maintenance items I won’t take the time to list This is not the standard I expect from a Marriott branded hotel

Eric Adams

I enjoyed my experience here and the amenities were convenient and good Why only 4 stars, you need to bring ear plugs if you’re a light sleeper the plumbing is loud By loud I mean if someone upstairs flushes the toilet you will hear it out of all 4 walls and the ceiling at about 85 db

Staff are very friendly I’d really like to give 45 stars but I’m unable to

Ryan Thomas

Nice, clean, updated rooms, friendly staff and great location I always appreciate a hotel that has great options close by for dinner before settling in for the night The breakfast was kind of terrible, but the coffee was fresh and hot so we’re all good there

My one and only gripe (not entirely the hotels fault) was the water wouldn’t work in the morning I called the front desk and they switched me to a new room to take a shower A little inconvenient but they were very quick and accommodating I would definitely stay here again

Stayed overnight for my birthday The location is near everything Clean hotel and room

Housekeeping staff were friendly Front desk staff left much to be desired, no welcome for our tier status The bar area at night looked like fun Hotel smells amazing according to my pregnant wifeNo microwave thoughRoom had a safe, mini fridge, iron and board

Erika Madvid

Pros: they approved early check in for us which was great because we had 6 hours in-between two events that day They were able to provide extra towels They gave us a room on the 3rd floor

Rates were good for the one night stayCons: Really all structural issues: not a really convenient entry to the hotel have to park in the garage across the street and walk to the entrance and take the elevator or stairs just to get to the lobby The entrance did smell of cigarettes and marijuana at all points of the day its not really monitored by staff or security until the evening The lobby was nice very open, seating areas for the tv and barNow the sound/noise issue is UNREAL!!!! You can hear every little sound from the people above you, every door slam shut, walking up and down the hallways Its due to the laminate flooring in the rooms It was all hours of the day and mostly through the night we even had a sound machine that we use for our son and i still heard everythingnow with the cleanliness of the room it was clean except for the floors in the room i think they might have only vacuumed the floors and not mopped because when you get out of the shower and walk in the room your feet are already filthy

Steph

So the only reason I even gave 2 stars versus 0 stars is because of the great location and the potential of the actual building This was our second stay at this hotel in the past two months At first, I wasn’t going to write a review because I thought the bad experience the first time was a one off, but after this second stay I realize it is the trend for this hotel

How do you check-in at a different time on two different stays and the SAME team member is just hanging out there? This second visit, it was multiple people hanging out at the front desk We were never properly greeted and apparently my husband and I were an inconvenience by breaking up their hangout session in order to check in The lady who checked us in never even looked at us once during the check-in process, never mentioned breakfast or anything that was helpful But again I guess we did interrupt her from hanging with her friends AT WORK Fast forward to the room each stay the room looks like it was just used and not cleaned with much effort Especially in the current health and safety climate, I would expect at least half an effort for the room to appear clean But clearly based on the way the front desk staff and other staff members who make the front desk their hang out spot, we should’ve known to have low expectations for anything else in the hotel Although I’m always about having a good time, in the evening, the lobby/bar area turns into a club with a bit too much rowdiness If you’re in to that, you will have fun No one was even at the desk later in the evening (they may have been partying at the bar with other non hotel guests who were using the front driveway as their personal parking lot), or even when we were ready to check-out the next morning Thank goodness we could check-out on the Marriott Bonvoy app We will not be staying here again until there is staff re-training or staffing changes

We enjoyed a nice dinner at the restaurant Not a complaint but only minor issue was a limited menu but to be expected with what is happening during these pandemic years Food was excellent

Service was excellent Fair prices and the entertainment was nice too It only took me just shy of 53 years to discover NE Ohio’s hidden gem Plan on visiting the rest of the park moving forward

Jane Loving

Hi! We loved our first stay at Punderson Manor in June 2022, and we would like to come back! The things we loved the most (besides the beautiful state park setting and Tudor style architecture) were the hand soap and lotion in the rooms (smelled so good!) We would love to buy some for home (gift shop idea!) Also, the coffee was amazing (liquid Folgers concentrate I am told) Loved the fire pits lakeside! Things that we would like to see improved on was the mattresses (they were pretty stiff and we woke up in room 105 with neck and back aches every day I heard you are replacing them soon, so that is good!!) Also, there were no towel racks to hang your towels

A microwave would have been nice as well, for popcorn or snacks between meals The restaurant food was ok We had both continental and regular breakfast, as well as the Buffalo cauliflower, cheeseburger and house salad I would not probably eat here again, except maybe breakfast (I understand you are between chefs) For the gift shop, I wished there was a women’s fitted T with Punderson Manor photo/artwork The grounds were well kept, and the pool was very roomy Affordability is important to my husband and I, especially with prices of everything getting so high these days, so we really appreciated being able to come here for a relaxing getaway, and hope to come back for many more years to come

Amanda Gillespie

Punderson gives you the quaint castle feel The pools were rather cold, no hot tub, no game room Staff are super friendly and the rooms are clean albeit could use some updating

Beds are full-size not queen Great air conditioning! There is currently no sprinkler system working, (signs everywhere) so keep that in mind Fire pits are not included in the room, rather the cost to use one is $25

We stayed 3 nights and this hotel is amazing Very clean and spacious rooms The staff was very friendly and helpful, I asked for a couple more towels at the front desk and the lady was more than happy to help

She even gave us a few extra hand towels! The pool, hot tub, and workout room were all fantastic and clean The breakfast was delicious with quite a few choices to choose from We will definitely be staying here again when we come back to Ohio!

Jackie C

The staff at this location were very kind and courteous They helped to make my stay very pleasant The room was nice, I liked the kitchen, and the bed was extremely comfortable

The breakfast was also really goodHowever, the sofa bed was absolutely disgusting The mattress pad briefly came off when I pulled the bed out for my kids to sleep on and honestly it made me sick to my stomach The mattress was so gross! I didn’t even feel comfortable letting my children lay on that thing It should be in the garbage For the amount of money spent, no one should ever have to sleep on top of filth Also if you have small children such as I did, there are not really any kid friendly TV channels for the evening time That was disappointing as wellIf I’m being honest even though I liked the staff very much and the room size, that issue with the sofa bed would definitely be enough to make me not want to stay again

Yechezkel Sherman

i would give this place ten stars if i could!!POOL/HOT TUBThe pool and hot tub were amazing!! clean heated pool great for all the kids the hot tub was so relaxing and just what you need after a long drive kids had such a blast

towels were all clean and plenty of themROOMclean and very spacious had everything we needed from the pull out sofa bed to the kitchenet the beds were comfy and the shower was greatSERVICEthe staff are all smiling and willing to please very warm feel no issueswould stay here again in a heart beat

First and foremost I want to recognize the staff Scott and DJ for being accommodating and very friendly Unfortunately this was the only good thing about our very short stay hereUpon arrival everything seemed clean and well-kept, but there had been a power outage the night before and the key card machine was not working, meaning we had to be escorted to our rooms each time we entered

The gym was also locked and I had to be escorted there Inside there was zero air circulation and it felt like a sauna inside I didn’t personally mind it for a 30-minute workout but it seemed unsafe long-termWhen I returned from the gym we decided to check the room for bed bugs, which I usually do as a precaution Unfortunately we found a bug that seemed to be a bed bugWe immediately told the manager Scott and he was extremely apologetic, which was nice but we decided to leave anyhowI will reiterate here that the staff were friendly, professional, and met all of our requests Unfortunately the facilities just did not meet our standards

Bryan Wright

The staff was fantastic and friendly The breakfast was good They had a lot of options and the warm cinnamon buns were amazing

The room was dirty The chair in the room had visible stains and was so gross that my arms actually would stick to the chair when I sat The bed skirt had gross stains on it The building was not very sound proof There were several guys above us having a good time, which is okay with me, but it lasted into 2am and at times we could actually hear their conversation Needless to say we didn’t get much rest

David Miller

The staff was friendly & welcoming, with smiles on their face! The room was very nice & the bed very comfy! I got a good night’s sleep! There wasn’t any 110 receptacles near the bed though I had to move a lamp over onto the night stand so I could plug my phone in while using itI’ve run into this situation before at a few Holiday Inns

I stay in 12 diff Holiday Inns a monthThis one had a hot breakfast with plenty of bacon!I drive a box truck There was plenty of parking for it

We usually stay at the Marriott but, they were booked Our family came 8 hours away for a basketball camp Our stay was February, 18-20

The first night was horrible The fire alarm went off TWICE during the night I’m pregnant and tired My fiancé had to rush to get our 3 kids up and out the door We never got told what was going on The officer just told us it was safe to go back to our room Customer service unfortunately was not the best at all They charge for breakfast The rooms are not clean which is fine I just would have appreciated someone coming by to replace towels at least When turning the heat up, it’s really loud off and on throughout the night For us this was not a comfortable stay I wouldn’t recommend

Seth B.

Absolutely one of the best hotels, I’ve stayed in for awhile!!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐And by far one of the cleanest Hilton garden Inns!!! 😊 I travel for work and my work always has me staying at this location for the weekdays and then going back to Columbus (home) every weekend The staff is absolutely friendly and helpful, I don’t know what people are complaining about, the rooms are definitely clean and nice and I’ve stayed in multiple different rooms and I have not had any bad customer service or issues with the cleanliness or services I think these people are just trying to get free stuff! But I will continue to have my work, use this location for my work! And when we come up to visit family, I will continue to use this Hilton garden Inn even using money out of my own pocket!

Shanker Dutt

I stayed for business visit overnight Rooms were clean as was the lobby The front desk people were very courteous

I am only giving 4 stars as the television in the room was very small and old and the AC didn’t allow to run the fan constantly Also I opted for premium TV channels and other than a few showtime channels there was nothing premium

Very disappointed The staff was not friendly, the guy at the desk was rude when I asked about the $50 fee that was charged to my card that I was unaware of when booking [Front desk never said anything and it was my first time staying here]

The beds were so hard, I didn’t sleep the 2 nights I stayed It felt like I was sleeping on a wooden board The couch was more comfortable than the bed and thats where I slept The lights were so dim we couldn’t see much to get ready There was no soap in the bathroom when arriving, so I had to go down to the front and ask No bags in the trash cans The TV in the living room of the suite wouldn’t pick up reception for the channels, only one channel worked and wasn’t fuzzy Drinks were over priced and the vending machines were only ice machines For what we paid for the room, I could have went somewhere actually enjoyable We won’t be back

Dawn T

The ONLY thing that saved this rating is the location and the staff The hotel is in DESPERATE need of renovation It’s very brown

Very 90s The microwave in our room looked like one of the first microwaves ever made The beds were uncomfortable, but the view was amazing There’s even a special deck that overlooks the falls that is just for guests I’m glad we stayed here, but wouldn’t return unless they decided to upgrade But this place was super busy, so chances are, they won’t be updating any time soon It definitely was not worth the price paid, in my opinion

Jack Moyle

The staff at the Sheraton Suites Akron Cuyahoga Falls was amazing! The hotel itself was great, and the location is top notch While eating at the restaurant, you get a great view Cuyahoga River – it feels like you are on top of the waterfalls The proximity to restaurants and shops is first class

There are multiple shops within a quarter-mile of the hotel Highly recommend

Nice hotel! We had an issue upon arrival that front desk staff quickly and politely fixed Comfortable bed, nice spa tub, shower that actually drains

worth the price paid My only issue was in room 103 a bright light shines directly into the window which made sleep somewhat difficult but it was manageable A few high traffic spots were dirty including handles and TV remote but overall it was nice and I’d come back for sure!

Jon Dressler

Two weeks stay at this hotel and I must say it was a great two weeks Staff is awesome and rooms are very cleanManager Ann went out of her way to ensure we had everything we needed for the conference room meetings each day

Kerrie was always a bright face at breakfast each morning, and she always had breakfast ready each morning, and kept the conference room stocked each dayAlexandra was very nice & cheerful and went out of her way to ensure a comfortable stayAll future trips to the Cleveland area, the Fairfield Streetsboro will be my go-to place to stayI am a Lifetime Platinum Elite member and this Marriott property ranks as one of the best overall stays

Hotel has/is undergoing renovation/modernization since I last stayed here about a year ago Carpets and flooring were obviously new and the bathroom remodel was great, clean and spacious Breakfast was meh

But that’s a perk, not the reason we stayed overnight Very friendly staff Even when my mother told them her key wasn’t working and it turned out she was just trying to get in the wrong room The signage to get to the hotel could be better but it was a great stay

This is a stunningly beautiful bed and breakfast in the heart of the National Park area Melanie and Jeff are the most gracious of hosts It was such a pleasure chatting with each of them

Breakfasts were outstanding with plenty of choices to please everyone and served at a formal table setting which made it feel very special A long list of restaurant options was provided, all were convenient and host recommendations were delicious I love bed and breakfasts and have stayed in many Flawless execution and ambiance here We will return!

Carmella Caltagirone

My husband and I stayed here for a local Cleveland-area getaway in February The accommodations were wonderful, the breakfast delicious, and the hosts very welcoming! The location is far enough off the road that it feels very secluded It’s a very unique home/building and it was a pleasure to stay here

Great access to the National Park nearby Other than many of the nearby restaurants being closed on Sunday nights, we had no issues!

Sarah Hunley

This bed and breakfast was fabulous! Jeff and Melanie made us feel welcome and were so helpful giving us recommendations for trails, sites and dinner Melanie’s 3 course gourmet breakfast far outshined any breakfast you would get at a restaurant She asked if we had any dietary restrictions; so thoughtful

The house and grounds were gorgeous! The suite was spacious and clean We were definitely stay here again I would give it 10 stars if I could

This was my first trip to the area and as always the Courtyard brand delivered The property was easy to locate, convenient to restaurants and shopping The staff was friendly and ready to help, even after I requested a different room (I am not a fan of rooms located next to exit doors on the 1st floor)

The agent did not hesitate to help me The room(s) were clean and comfortable My only concern, would be the A/C unit in my room rattled all day/night, so there were no quiet night’s sleep, I adjusted to it eventually

First impression wasn’t good The front overhang was on need of repair Not a good look

Reception area clean & organized We were able to checkin early Overall, We enjoyed our room But lifted toilet seat and discovered it hadn’t been cleaned YukThey do have Starbucks in lobby Free water in dispenserGreat location for shopping & dining

Everything you’d expect from a Courtyard/Marriott The staff was very welcoming during check-in The room was oddly configured, but large and appropriately furnished

The bed and pillows were mostly comfortable, but definitely uneven on one side, I assume from frequent useClose proximity to interstates and local roads, fast food restaurants, sit-down restaurants, and other resources Easy access to local universities, businesses, etcThe only drawback was the broken electrical outlets on both sides of the bed (part of mounted light fixtures) I was forced to use the wall outlet (~2 feet from the bed) with a relatively short cord I wouldn’t normally complain, but in 2022, most travelers don’t use the hotel alarm clocks and are reliant on cell phones

Overall I wasn’t too bad, but for what we paid it was not up to par Renovated to try to patch over an old building it seemed like Shiplap paneling on the ceiling was falling in

Faucet was loose and damaged They had hand soap, shampoo and body soap dispensers in the bathroom but they had nothing in them They had plastic parts inside of them that were in plastic packaging so I’m assuming they’ve never been set up They did not provide some on the sink per usual so had to ask the front desk and let them know Tough to do mid shower though Staff was great Cute little bar restaurant inside Food was good

After hiking the Buckeye trail this place is an oasis The rooms are beautiful, spacious and undeserving of a couple who was wet and dirty from hiking the trail We took the most glorious shower ever

The local pizza place and coffee shop are right around the corner from the Inn The couple that runs the Inn took care of every need we had They were so generous For the 2 days we stayed it was fantastic and relaxing

Stayed at the Hiram Inn on Saturday January 25th

it felt like coming home From the moment we walked in Ed and his family were there to: help us with our luggage, accompany us to our room and ensure that we did not have any immediate needs The Amos Sutton Hayden Suite is large compared to a hotel room and has a gas fireplace, a roll top desk and comfortable seating The room is clean, the bathroom is clean It was fun to just hang out in the room Our circumstances did not allow us to enjoy the fabulous breakfast served at the Inn We had to meet a larger group for breakfast at a local restaurant Because we were a large group (10 – 12 people) I expressed to Ed the possibility that we may not be able to be seated Ed did not hesitate to invite our whole group to come back to the Inn for a breakfast they would prepare How can you be more gracious?? Thanks again to Ed and his family for providing a uniquely rewarding experience in hospitality

If you are looking for bells and whistles and a large staff this is not the place for you Staying at the Hiram Inn was more like staying with relatives My room was clean, water was hot and the linens were clean

I even had a little festive Christmas Tree in the corner I enjoyed the vintage furniture, the good conversation with Ed made me feel welcome I had two meals there and they both were delicious If I’m ever lucky enough to get back into town I look forward to staying there again
