My friend and I very much enjoyed our stay here The location was awesome and of great distance to everything, very much a walkable location Our room came with two robes and two pair of shower shoes

We definitely thought that was sweet We want to say that the house keepers were awesome ( especially Maria) The staff were genuinely nice and helpful This trip to Austin was one for the books and we really appreciate the hospitality!!!

We got the cabin room here for one night for a great price in a very active and central downtown location Lots of restaurants and shops within walking distance The beds were comfortable and the room very clean

The style of this place is very aesthetically pleasing My only complaints for the cabin rooms specifically: water pressure in the shower we used was pathetic It sounded like tiny mouths spitting on your head and barely produced enough water to really get washed Also, the AC unit in our room was temperamental It didn’t actually cool the room until we were leaving the next morning Regardless, this spot is fantastic for travellers who want to be in the middle of it all and enjoy hip local hotels over the big chain hotels Just be prepared that the cabins are like fancy hostels with dorm style bathrooms and that the central location is noisey until the noise ordinance kicks in at 10:30pm So pick this spot if you don’t need to lounge around the hotel and want to be out and about in this lively and eclectic city! We’ll be back!

I was searching for an affordable but also cute hip hotel to stay at in Austin for a night Fortunately from either were plenty to choose from but the East Austin hotel kept coming up for good reviews I was able to book a reservation for under $120, but as I was checking in I realized that I’ve booked a room that didn’t come with the bathroom and only had a shared bathroom

The girls at the front desk were able to change me to another room upgrade where I had a huge bathroom all to myself, like a normal hotel room I liked this hotel because it was very clean, current, lots of options to eat on property and in the nearby neighborhood It’s very walkable and there’s a Whole Foods and target within blocksThe staff at the front desk were very nice, happy to answer any questions for meThe only thing that was a little bit concerning, is that they leave the front gate open, which can be controlled with your key card So while I was staying there in the middle of the day there was this guy that was kind of looming around and he freaked me out a little bit I called the front desk and they said they were going to handle it immediatelyI did not it was a great stay, and I have no other suggestions

Great stay at The Westin downtown Austin It was very busy so we waited in the bar for an hour or so Had a great time talking with the bartender who was excellent

When our room was ready we were very pleasantly surprised at the wonderful room upgrade It was worth the extra wait for sureAs busy as they were, the service was top notch From the front desk, the bar and at breakfast everyone we talked with was excellentMy only complaint would be that the poor flags on the front of the hotel were in very sad shape Please change those, our country and our veterans deserve it

Jeffrey Taylor

Great location and good basic rooms good for a business or quick leisure stay Housekeeping service inconsistent/unclear — had to ask for rooms to be cleaned for half of my six day stay with no clear policy Gym is nice and new, but a glass prism in hot weather

Great location, but beware it is loud on weekends and one night the noise from the roof leaked all the way down to my room about ten floors down (TVs having a white noise channel should be a hint)

Jennifer Molder

Great friendly service, very nice rooms I booked this hotel because I wanted a nice pool with a bar to spend the day at I was very disappointed that there were no umbrellas and nowhere to escape the brutal sun

Even the private cabanas have pergola roofs and do not provide shade The pool was small, crowded, and could have used a good cleaning

The hotel appears to be well kept, based on the two rooms we have seen We requested a move to another room only because it overlooked the meeting spaces and the air conditioning units We were moved to a room with better views from one corner of the hotel

The desk staff was very accommodating even with low availability Love the free underground parking, especially when the temperatures were soring above 100 F

David Schultz

Hotel is really nice, pleasant Bed was a bit too firm for our liking, but it’s impossible for a hotel to please everyone in this regard We were not impressed with the lounge on the top floor, it wasn’t all that busy but we were ignored for quite awhile before we decided to just walk over to one of the restaurants at the retail facility next door

This was my first stay here and the property is great The hotel is fairly new so everything is modern and in great shape Rooms are small (even the Jr suite) but nicely appointed and very comfortable

We had brunch and dinner at Corinne which was very good The menu isn’t too big but the scallops and steak were quite tasty The wine list is decent for a hotel restaurant

Alonzo A

Absolutely phenomenal stay Was here for a 3 day work event that allowed for a 2 night stay here, everything was flawless My event was 250 people and check in was courteous and a breeze

Rooms were very well appointed and had a great view of downtown Austin Service was kind and efficient And the food for both breakfast and our takeaway lunch boxes was very well done Even the service at Corinne and the pool upstairs was awesome Gym was large and had more than enough to please anyone Again, a great stay and would be very happy to stay here and have another work related event Keep up the good work!

Katie N.

This new Marriott is gorgeous – absolutely beautifully done Service is great too Just be aware that the beds are not traditional Marriott beds

They are *much* firmer (as in make-you-sore firmer) It’s not for everyone If you can get a corner room with a view, you will love the large windows and view of downtown Austin Breakfast was also yummy and the valet personnel do a great job

This is a family run Holiday Inn and the excellent quality of service reflects their hands on care in wanting to provide the best experience for their guests Every element of our stay provided a wonderful end of summer get away for us with our daughter and two grandsons From the service provided from check in with the front desk employee, Coy, to our check out was top notch

A wonderful breakfast buffet was offered each morning The covered pool is small but provided a wonderful break from the Texas heat The location is great in that you are removed from a lot of the Austin traffic and close to such lakeside dining venues as The Oasis and Vincent’s We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and so greatly appreciate the desire this franchise owner has to provide excellent accommodations

Tom Dement

This has been the worst hotel experience I have ever had The room that they gave us was on the bottom floor, and you could literally hear EVERYTHING People walking, drawers opening and closing, house keeping going around at 8am! I booked a stay here for 6 nights for business and personal reasons

After hardly sleeping the first night, I asked if they could move me to the top floor I was told no and that no one is booked into the room above me to stay that next night I gave it a try and could here everything, and again barely slept Then house keeping came into my room at 9am I asked to be moved again and the woman working in the evening accommodated my request (which was nice) This was my third night here Then I get a call at 9am Monday, while I am working saying that the “blue plastic” soap trays are missing from the room To be honest, I do not know if they were there when I got the room or not But to spend 700$ here and to be called and essentially accused of stealing cheap made in china soap trays (I know this because they are in my current room), is absolutely insane I am cutting my trip short and heading home The location is good but it is not worth the trouble, stay at the Hyatt down the road and thank yourself later

jason gallo

The rooms are quite large with a couch area and table area to eat along with a king bed Pillows are quality along with the linens Tub great size for bath and the shower head assembly in was impressed with

I probably stay in about 50 to 60 hotels a year for work purposes and travel so I see a lot this one was very well kept up I was really happy with the accommodations

We came to Austin for a wedding and got a special rate at the hotels booked here It was right in the middle of the party district, which was fine with us Also, they had a happy hour every day from 5:00 to 6:00 with free beer and margaritas, and whenever we ask for an early check-in at 9:30 a

m they were able to accommodate us Everything in Austin is expensive, and no matter if you go out to get pizza, ice cream, or barbecue, expect to pay $100 every single time With that in mind, this hotel at their special rate was affordable

Luka

So the cons to this place was there is a college bar right next to it where they blast music all night at insane levels where it makes it very tough to sleep, the music goes on until 3am sometimes which is very annoying The pool itself is nice but it’s small, during the weekend it was too packed where you can’t even get in which is annoying when you pay that much money for the hotel and can’t experience the pool when you want, and finally the valet service is very expensive at 60$ a night and adds up especially if you are going to stay a few nights The rooms themselves were underwhelming and a little small compared to what you would expect

Pros is overall the experience there was solid, the staff is A plus and is very helpful, valet service was nice and prompt getting the car out in a timely manner, everything was very clean and well maintained The amenities areas were also nice and clean The location is also phenomenal and you are in the heart of it all

Dylan Ivanov

Gorgeous hotel with incredible staff and beautiful rooms Greeted warmly by the front desk upon arrival with a free room upgrade and information about free drinks and other events going on in the hotel We asked them for restaurant recommendations as it was our first day in Austin and were advised to go to Via 313 Pizza just minutes from the hotel; the food was amazing and we were able to enjoy it in the comfort of the room

The pictures online do not do the grandeur and elegance of the hotel justice Make sure to book a night if you are in the area!

The location is great being near downtown making most places accessible by foot or scooterWe didn’t use the fitness room or the indoor pool but we did check them out The indoor pool area was clean but it was very warm and humid in there

The fitness room wasn’t large but it had the right amount of equipment for the size room; suggest mounting a TV in front of the exercise bike so users aren’t staring at a blank wallWe enjoyed the made to order eggs from Stacy every morning The staff in the dining room area was very friendly and quick to clean off tables Complimentary breakfast and happy hour was appreciated On site laundry facility was convenient but it needs a change machine and more frequent cleaningThe rooms were spacious but are very dated The bed is soft but after a few days we were having back pains Plumbing fixtures had low pressure and is in need of updating; toilet was very low to the ground even for my wife Grout in the shower appeared to have mold in places and paint was peeling from the ceiling; bathroom didn’t have an exhaust fan TVs in the room were convenient but are dated as well

Kali Martinsen

I first stayed here in 2019 and the rooms were beautiful! I think this place got hit a little harder over the pandemic The room this time was a little run down The wallpaper was peeling in places, the faucet for the water in the “kitchen” area was broken and loose to where whenever we would turn it of the entire faucet would fall over, although, it still was spitting out water, the thermostat was loose and hanging off the wall, the batteries in it died about halfway through our stay and we couldn’t change the temperature the entirety of our stay and the the water pressure in the bathroom was very weak

The lobby area was beautiful and cleaned multiple times a day They did lock the doors to come in earlier than what the signs said which said 11pm to 6am and they had them locked by 6pm which was a little annoying The breakfast was great The managers happy hour was great just make sure you get the tickets when you get your keys The gym was very clean as well I had tried to get into the pool area but the door seemed to be locked even though the light turned green to let me through They have bathrooms on the first floor by the pool which were very clean as well!In the end i think this hotel needs to update the rooms but over all the stay is great!

BexFlexFitness

We really enjoyed our stay here! The layout of our suite was great We felt welcome and at home The little things like the daily happy hour and amazing complimentary breakfast really impressed us

They had a large breakfast selection and all of it was really good – even made to order omelets It felt like the staff really cared to help us enjoy our stay which was appreciated Loved the location with easy access to food, drinks and downtown activities They allow pets and we brought or dog, who also really enjoyed his stay

The stay was great We went as a family of 4 the pool is more a lounge area definitely not for kids The kids did enjoy the ping pong table and giant connect 4

The seating by the pool is fist come first serve There are seating areas you have to pay Parking is also an additional cost The room and view were amazing I recommend this place for all adults not so much family with kids under 14

One issue:Great location, modern, beautiful, upscale hotel Quiet large room, with beautiful view, giant window and of course, with in-room safe Helpful staffGreat gymThe hotel’s minibar is small and full of expensive items

TAKE CARE:Fridge has a motion sensor for items If you are not going to use it and pay high prices, do not even open the fridge I had problems They write a notice on the door of the mini fridge, which is not very clear They should let you know at check-in and with large letters on the cabinet where the minibar is, to avoid unpleasant situations for those who are innocently curious to see what is in the minibar or try to keep something They should change the minibar policy to avoid this type of problem that I know is common in the hotelBut I informed the hotel immediately, after checking the minibar and they didn’t charge They also brought an empty minibar for free to store products

Don’t forget to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙᴏʟʟʏᴄᴏm when booking any place This web site will compare countless booking web sites and typically will have prices a lot cheaper compared to others! Thank me later on! This hotel is one of the highest rated in the area

I had an awesome experience at the Lake Austin Spa Resort this week The staff was fantastic – they were welcoming, friendly and willing to make great suggestions on everything from meals to spa treatments Everyone was super – the front desk staff, the food and beverage team, the spa staff, the activities team and the maintenance staff all went above and beyond

Keith Nelson, the resort manager, was particularly greatThe resort is casual, which I love, yet the food and services were top notch They are making noted upgrades and I expect it will be even better on my next visit I highly recommend!

Family GMAIL

Steam shower has tons of mold Swimming pool has algae and needs to be scrubbedThe massage didn’t last the entire time; it was cut by 8 minutes

If you go, ask for a timer or set one on your phoneThe staff is very friendly and welcoming They are trying to make the best of the situation The massage was goodFood and drink are ok A few drinks and we felt nothing and we normally don’t drink so we expected to at least have a buzzThe price…2 massages, lunch for one, and a few cocktails $800 This price includes 23% service/gratuity on everything $35 per person to use the showers and poolThis place needs a full renovation to even justify the price and hype

Kimberly Ketchersid

This was my second and final time using this spa Y’all there are so many better options in Austin; don’t be fooled !The good – my massage was wonderfulThe BAD -Total lack of professionalism by the spa attendants

No tour, no offer of water , nothing! I brought my mom as a guest and we received zero help whatsoever- the facilities – the hot tub was dirty with mold around the steps, the sauna was out of service and the steam room had one flickering light ( out of 3 total, 2 were dead)- the FINALE- undisclosed service charge We even specifically asked if it was included and I was told NO I added gratuity on top of the service charge Called twice to get clarity, even then they refused to disclose what the 23% was used for Until I refused and pressed for how much went to my therapist ( as she deserved it ) But there was no way I ate over $200 worth of trailMix and the amenities were not maintained!Never again

My sister and I had a wonderful experience at the Hilton! Great location in the city Room was very clean Beds were super comfortable and clean

Safety measures were in place such as card key needed to operate the elevators, closed gate to the parking garage and police monitored the hotel periodically Pool drinks were a bit pricey and pool water could have been a little clearer/cleaner Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would come back again!

Chelsea Whitney

Lobby was beautiful, as were the conference rooms The rooms had comfortable beds and mine had a great view on the 10th floor Stayed for 3 nights and the Staff were very friendly and helpful with whatever I needed

The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because of the food That definitely could be improved At least the food they serve for conference guests Thank you for a great experience!

Cheyanne Gentry

Attended a conference here and was very pleased with the quality of service, staff members and the cleanliness of the hotel The view of Austin from the swimming pool was breathtaking, something I will always remember! If I ever travel to Austin again I will definitely stay at this Hilton! Another cool thing is that this hotel is very close to downtown so it was easy to walk to all sorts of fun places Sightseeing, finding lovely souvenirs, touring the Capitol building and eating our way through the excellent restaurants was a pleasurable time to spend our off hours from the conference

I really enjoyed my one night stay at the Thompson Overall the staff were very friendly and the room was incredibly clean The coffee shop on the bottom floor makes an excellent cappuccino

The front desk staff at night could do a better job recognizing guests and letting them know that they’ll be right to them but otherwise I found everyone to be helpful The lighting in the room is a little strange to figure out since some of the switches blend into the overall design of the lights The overall interior design is unique, modern and attractive

Justin Snider

Gorgeous hotel & rooms The hotel amenities are top notch! One of the best gyms I’ve seen in a hotel (including a virtual sports room)The Grey Market is an awesome breakfast spot for Hyatt Globalists, the Diner Bar has happy hour that was good ($2 oysters), and Wax Myrtle’s which is fun, even though I’m getting old

We had a corner room which was awesome View up Brazos, wasn’t really loud, and the space was plenty to spread out Big bed, great TV, nice shower/bathroom Storage space Large closet Multiple windowsOne of the better hotels in downtown Austin without going to the super top of the line, luxury joints Highly recommend!

Stayed here for a work conference and it was a very beautiful hotel Staff was great The conference area we used was perfect with bathrooms and side rooms available off the main space

Pool and outside area was gorgeousMy one complaint would be the dark bathroom Don’t plan on doing your makeup in there because it’s not gonna happen You’ll have to go sit at the desk or by the window to have enough lightThe hotel has two distinct sides, one with a separate bathroom and another studio type that I believe has everything in one space

I was there for a convention My wife enjoyed going to the spa and pool area She got a massage one day and thought that was fantastic

I spent all my time in conference rooms The rooms were fine The facility can handle very large conferences from what I could tell The food that they provided for the conference people meals (breakfast and lunches) was good We also went to the hotel restaurant area for some of our meals and that was very good too They have a nice outside corner bar that was always well attended It’s fully covered so it can be year round I would assume Lots of things around the hotel if you want to go to different places to eat or drink All of those were within easy walking distance

Comfortable and spacious rooms which are well appointed but could maybe use a refresh soon The property is immaculate and the hotel staff is very assiduous The Starbucks in the hotel is handy for a quick coffee but seriously understaffed so you will wait a while

It’s a business hotel, so it feels a bit corporate, but they do a very good job at what they do No complaints at all and we would be happy to stay again

Great location! The rooms were nice and clean! We had a problem in our first room and were quickly moved to a better oneStaff is very nice and accommodating, very good service from the man at the front desk in the evening (sorry I did not get his name) He was kind and helpful! The fact that dogs are welcomed for free is simply amazing!

The room was very large and clean Beds were comfy and noise at night was reasonable The location was within walking distance to bars and restaurants

A little different with the check in on the second floor and the lobby being in a restaurant/bar Staff was very friendly and helpful The hotel is shared with another brand so half the rooms are one brand and the other aloft

Jackie Verbowski

First, the good: the location is great The bad: the bed was very uncomfortable, the room was small and um, not very well appointed, the water pressure was non-existent (barely more than a trickle from the shower) Lots of traffic noise from the street and if you like to sleep through the night just hope folks don’t come back from the bar at around 2 am and decide to have a confab in the hall near your room, because you will hear every loud, drunken word

Most of the staff were very nice Coffee was good, food was edible Really not worth $350+taxes+parking per night, in my humble opinion I didn’t get to try the cowboy boots because we left after only one night

I stayed at the Hyatt for a conference I was able to upgrade to a balcony room My room needed some repairs but the upgrade price was so reasonable, I didn’t mind

The location was amazingThe restaurant for dinner had a very limited menu, which was disappointing but the location made ordering in super easy!Overall it was a nice hotel, I felt safe traveling aloneI did have a parking issue that took a month to fix but the staff made up for it once we were able to get it fixed

Service was great Please was clean and well presented Everyone was polite and the manager Justina was very pleasant to talk to

just like her staff As a people manager my self, it’s always important to model the behaviors you expect from your team and you can tell that her team gets it from her! Thank you for making sure my stay was very enjoyable and taking care of the few request I asked for I will stay again on my next visit to TX

Steve DiFrancesco

It looks like it used to be a very nice place but is a bit rundown The grounds, with a mini river walk feel are in disrepair My room is spacious and the bed is adequate

The doorway to the bathroom is very narrow – almost like a closet and would be impossible for a wheelchair or walker Toilet sits too low for my liking Microwave, mini fridge and a Keurig Good work desk with an actual office chair

Pankaj Israni

Service and cleanliness were absolutely top notch I highly recommend going to the 18th floor for their bar Specifically, our bartender Brandon was incredible

Provided us with great drinks (his recommendations were the move) and a very welcoming atmosphere, even when the bar wasn’t necessarily packed Accommodated all of our needs (needed wine opener) and just a overall good guy Would come back here especially for the A+ service and the bar!

I usually don’t write reviews, but the hotel manager Crystal was a GEM! She was extremely sweet and helpful, and her charisma really brightened our day If we had any issues, she helped us with a smile on her face and a gleeful tone The room itself was gorgeous and the hotel sits in a great central location

The bar drinks were strong and tasty Please make sure to be kind to the hardworking staff – it makes days more enjoyable for all parties involved! Thank you for everything Crystal 🙂

It was a little difficult to arrive at the hotel due to construction in the area, but once we arrived we used valet for our stay The room was very nice and clean, there was also plenty of amenities such a mini fridge, coffee station, and a microwave I was surprised with the microwave, not many hotels provide those in the room

The bed was very comfortable, and the view of the Capitol building was gorgeous There was a gym on site, ice machine on the same floor, a bar downstairs as well with a delightful gentleman named Ken who made a perfect Manhattan drink for me After going out to dinner, with so many choices just a short walk away, we went to the rooftop lounge There was lots of seating, plugs to charge your phone, lighting, and even a hackey sack game to play We enjoyed a bottle of wine on the roof and took in the views We checked out smoothly and the valet gentleman Ari was extremely friendly and helped load our luggage Wonderful staff, I will definitely stay here again next time I’m in Austin

**Update 2/7/22**Thanks for the reply Hilton, I appreciate the prompt response to my review As far as the roof top being closed due to inclement weather, the bad weather was Thursday, our stay was Saturday night The weather was beautiful

The employees working there are simply incompetent of giving hospitality They could have called their manager and made the argument for us to open the rooftop Check out the other reviews, people talking about the front desk lady and you can see my review has cloutTerrible hospitality here I overheard the front desk personnel even tell a couple checking in that the only thing this hotel has going for it is its brand new Really sums it up in my opinion• Roof top was locked so we couldn’t enjoy that• The breakfast was not tasteful plus no booster seats for children• Static electricity everytime I touched the door handle• Valet was good in a sense they parked my car and brought it when I needed it A couple of the attendants in the morning did make good conversation so that was nice• forgot to mention, the room they initially checked us in was dirty and had not be cleaned from previous guest

Stayed here for two nights We had a nice stayPros:Location, easy access to walking trail and restaurants and stores

Decor and design were very cool and refreshing for a hotelFront desk and valet staff were EXCEPTIONAL, very nice and helpful when you have questionsFood was great, we ate breakfast and I loved my blueberry pancakes They have quite a nice menu with lots of great optionsCons:We had an unprofessional experience with a staff member at the pool and we notified the front desk of the situation Pool area is on the small side so get there early to reserve a lounge seatThe design is nice but minimalist, the decor looks great but there is no storage for putting clothes away The bathroom in our room was smaller(one vanity) and did not have many amenities (shave kit for men, no make up mirror, qtips etc)Overall a great modern place to stay Expect to pay $$$ for meals and drinks and the vibe is more hip and on trend than low key

John B

This was an amazing boutique hotel in the heart of downtown Austin The bar and the service was absolutely amazing An incredible social experience one has to come and see

Service was top-notch from the valet to the front desk The atmosphere is warm and inviting The decor is stunningly well done Will definitely stay here again when I have some more time in Austin

RUSSELL BRADEN

I don’t understand the high rates of this hotel other than being downtown The valet staff was less than professional The front desk staff was exceptional

The rooms were nicely furnished, but for the money nothing special The bar downstairs was so packed that it was impossible to get a drink and more impossible to enjoy the drink in a relaxing enjoyable sitting Perhaps I wasn’t “cool” enough to fit the 28 to 40 crowd who were still in the “i need to impress you” categoryThe restaurants were OK I think but I am not into middle eastern cuisine in a hotel restaurant and I sure am not going to pay Proper rates for Mexican food in the other restaurant when I can find some really good Mexican food for 100% less elsewhereGive me back the “keep Austin weird” vibe and I will be back, but not before
