These people will steal anything you leave at their hotel! Management is not helpful at all they gave me the run around for three days Nothing in the room worked!! What am i paying all this money for! The worst part was that i took my own trash out of my room i seperated the dirty towels, cleaned the shower because they don’t do that ( the previous room users body hair was everywhere) and i left a thankyou note for housekeeping and they still stole my things Sad

Disgraceful Never coming back by choice

If I could give negative stars I would!!! Room did not have an iron when front desk provided one it did not work My husband killed 4 bugs in this room I’m so over this hotel

When I told the staff I had bugs in my room she only offered bug spray like it was normal that the hotel had bugs Wish I could post a picture of the red bug Not sure what type of bugs but we threw everything away and bought new clothes and bags Didn’t want to take a chance on taking anything home

AJ

Come on, Hilton, you’re better than this Housekeeping and maintenance are slacking off1

Door latch was very loose (See photo) Had to call to get them to fix the door latch You would think housekeeping would’ve reported itIt was missing one of the three screws that holds it on the door They tightened the other two screws but did not replace the missing screw, probably because they didn’t have oneI requested a different room but there wasn’t one available2 I found leftover food in my room — a half eaten food bar on the desk that slides under the other desk Disgusting4 No bar soap at the bathroom sink5 No paper towels6 Tub, sink and base of toilet need to be re-grouted7 Room was not ready when I arrived at 4:00 PM Check-in is 3:00 PM8 The seat cushions on the chairs in the breakfast area are disgustingly stainedAll this and yet they were sold outI will not be back

Disappointed Good location Room was clean, but sparse

Bathroom was also clean, but also very limited in supplies No place to comfortably sit after long day on the road Just a desk chair As seniors (75+), we need a few creatures comforts this room did not offer Lighting was inadequate, and room seemed dark Had to move nightstand and unplug the lamp ( which made the room even darker!) b/c we both use sleep machines and extra outlets only on one side of the bed I will be checking pictures and amenities more carefully, but likely will not choose this hotel again Hilton can do better

Jennifer Ete

I like staying here We’ve stayed several times, because the room is always clean, the staff is always attentive and friendly, the cost is perfect for the property, and the beds are comfortable The location is perfect if you need to be near the interstate

The on/off ramp might be 1/2 mile from the hotel, yet, it is very quiet in the rooms No outside noise at all

BRIANN PARSON-BARNES

The service is outstanding, one of the best I’ve ever seen and we are Hilton Honors members The front desk staff was super nice, helpful and very professional The restaurant workers,Wilemenia and the others were sooo nice, and extremely helpful

The food was good and the area was very clean We had a couple of issues, but the housekeeping manager Sheila, was outstanding and very accommodating Though the room was very clean, the hotel is a little older and not as modern as I expected The hotel is in a great area and going on the navy ship tour, on the river across the street, was definitely worth it The general manager was very pleasant and helpful!

Jay

Parking is off site and a bit of a hassle Before you can park your car you have to check in to get your room key which doubles as your parking pass, then you go back out to your car, park off site and walk back to the hotel But except for that, the experience was very positive

The staff is friendly, accommodating, and the breakfast is decent with fresh fruit that was actually fresh

Steve Hubbard Floor Covering

My daughter got married down town so we choose this hotel to stay One of the reasons we stayed was because of the suites and the views The reason I am so happy we stayed is because the staff was fabulous

Friendly at desk Major remodeling occurring on second floor Parking lot in upper area mostly full of shipping containers, leaving lower lot with signs reading ” Park at your own risk, susceptible to flooding”

Room just felt dingy, with dirt build-up on lamps headboards sinks and mirrors The beds were good with new/newer linens Furniture needs to be replaced Coffee maker looked disgusting Biggest issue was the toilet, I believe the wax ring was leaking, so water on the floor That is repairable but the toilet was so close to the wall (@13-14″ from center, code is minimum 15″) it was difficult to use, and with a grab bar next to it (lowering clearance to 10-12″) there was just no room We dealt it but would never have stayed a second night In the morning the coffee and breakfast were good and the attendent was very pleasant and accommodating We mentioned the toilet at the desk and he said he’d have maintenance look at it

Tara Wilson

This is easily the worst hotel room I’ve ever been in  If it was me paying for it, I would have definitely complained to them by phone or onlineOk, let’s see

bathroom lightswitch had to be toggled up and down several times every single time before you can get it to actually turn on My sister went and reported it several times but nobody came to even check on it No shower curtain Some kind of sharp metal who knows what at eye level at the back of the shower, about a foot longToilet stopped up and my sister went down to the front desk to borrow a plunger, and they actually just let her use it instead of coming to fix it themselves  Only one tiny trashcan in the bathroom, not another one in the room itself Shower wouldn’t go cold at all  – only warm to hot That’s just the bathroomThey’ve got a small Keurig that was absolutely covered in a thick layer of dust, as was most surfaces Window was filthyKing sized bed had a large bump in it going right across my side of the bed at lower back level It hurt so bad to sleep on!! The ice machine didn’t work on the 3rd floorThey were doing some construction on the second floor which is definitely needed I hope it’s much better for anyone checking in in a few monthsI could go on, but that already tells you It’s awful I absolutely wish I had taken pictures to post here

Shermanie Reed

The rooms were not clean, tub was rusty, the carpet was dirty and had stains, the paint is peeling off the walls and doors, the peep hole on the door was stuffed with tissue paper (they are too cheap to replace the door), free parking was advertised but not honored when we arrived The office manager, Brandy, was rude & extremely unprofessional She could not answer questions that were asked

She was asked for their corporate & she didn’t even know the number She was also unwilling to get the number She advised I find it myself on Google I would give 0 stars if I could

The key card readers barely worked at our door and at the pool We saw folks having try try and swipe several times to even get a light on the readers The digital key just plain didn’t work

Also, I realize we’re 24 months deep with COVID, and masks are optional, but it’s just plain silly for those staff members that choose to wear them, had them below the nose and mouth, either wear it right or don’t wear oneThe rooms are alright, the lighting needs some help being super dim, and nothing substantial to light up the bathroom

Rhonda McDaniel

The hotel and rooms were nice We had a room with 3 adults Advised on first night if we could get set up for 3 people instead of just 2 for towels

Every morning and evening we had to go to the desk and ask for more towels Was also told to put our dirty towels in the hallway where they sat I’d asked for room service to come in and clean, take trash and used towels Was told that bc we had multiple days they only came in when asked Even after asking they still didn’t come in The pillows on the bed were the size of accent pillows for your couch and only 2 on the bed When we booked the breakfast was complimentary On the first night we found out that it was now $15 a person which was absolutely priced too high for the few items they had I would not book at this location again

Melissa Edwardsen

I can see this is a refurbished hotel I chose this over Home2 because of the pictures The lobby looked new but the elevators and rooms were average

In parts of the room there were rusts The AC in the bedroom didn’t work I chose a room and didn’t realize that the bathroom was situated outside of the bedroom across the living room Not nice in there at allplus carpet was old

Bernie Kleiner

This is a very nice hotel with excellent service and it is very convenient to I-10 The staff was exemplary from check-in to check-out There was a large gathering at the facility the night we stayed, yet we couldn’t tell due to the way the facility is laid out and how well the staff took care of business

I recommend the Baton Rouge Marriott if you are looking for a hotel in the city

Patrick Hill

Went for a business event and the staff was super accommodating and very kind Rooms are clean and no carpet which is great My only complaint is not with the hotel in particular but towards whoever in corporate Marriott land in charge of designing the rooms and thought the lighting was a good idea as well as the way the showers work AND to who above them approved it and signed off on it

The switches are dime sized, hard to locate, and the room gives the vibe of a swanky dimly lit cocktail bar even when you have every light on Not sure when we decided overhead lighting was a no go but I’m so ready for this particular corporate trend to die I’m embarrassed to leave this review but I hope it works it’s way up so they realize good lighting isn’t a bad thing! The lighting isn’t miserable but it’s close to it Again, nothing against the hotel in particular only against those making the big buck decisions Other than that 100/10, 5 stars, applause all around I’m leaving four stars in hopes that anything under 5 gets sent up

Candace Quast

Everyone was friendly Nice rooms Asked for extra blankets – they brought a set of sheets

The floor looked like it could’ve been cleaned better There was a weird alarm that kept going off – heard others telling front desk but nothing was done about it The service in the restaurant was a bit lacking Our bathroom sink wasn’t really draining- the plug wouldn’t stay up and no one every came to fix that so water sat in sink as you washed hands/brushed teeth All little things in the scheme of things

Room was spectacular only stayed a night but man what a view of the river, can’t beat it And the fact it’s convenient you can pretty much walk anywhere to get to where you need to be Comfortable room and great views

It’s hard to beat Definitely recommend staying here The brunch on Sunday was on point with an omelette bar and bottomless mimosas and build your own bloody Mary

alexis larkin

nice hotel and great location! love that it is in walking distance of several nice restaurantsfor the price we paid, i would’ve expected the bathroom to be cleaner (the shower was dirty when we arrived with hair on the tiles) and the valet to be quicker! took 30 minutes to get my car the other day

Gerald Emmerich

Location is good Hotel rooms need some work and are very run down One of the elevators shakes while ascending, while the other is missing a button

Lights in the room look like they’ve been hit with a hammer Toilet looks like it is about 50 years old with dark water marks in the bowl (and it runs from time to time) Mini fridge is randomly placed in a rundown cabinet with the door ripped off Other furniture is missing knobs and has touch up paint that doesn’t match The doors do not block any sound, so the rooms can be very noisy depending on where you are in the hotel I’ve been debating about cutting my loses and just going else where for the night I definitely won’t be coming back to this location in the future

The rooms were clean and smelled clean as we came in The bathrooms appeared to be recently remodeled The only downside is that it’s a walk in shower and we have a baby, so bathing her was a challenge

It was a great location We went to The Vintage for dinner and in the morning staff helped me locate a great place for breakfast – Milfreds Speaking of the staff I’ve never felt so welcomed and seen such helpful staff at a hotel before This was a great team and worth visiting again

Ruben Castro

Highly recommend this location/hotel! Quick, fast check in The hotel was well maintained, super clean inside and in my room (420) Free parking is not available, however, there is nearby parking for $15 or valet parking for $20(same parking lot as self parking)

The hotel staff were friendly, they made me feel welcomed and happy to support/assist me Wonderful city views from my balcony, walking distance to bars, restaurants, river walk, church, monuments, great sightseeing too! There is also a bar, Starbucks and restaurant inside the hotel

Bill Pandey

They fired my friend because he couldn’t work due to a family death When he called to get his job back they never answered and bad mouthed him His managers seemed to be against his religion as well

They wouldn’t allow him to work weekdays, preventing him from being able to go home on weekends Only giving 2 stars because his coworkers were good and pay was better compared to other hotels in the area

I stayed there this weekend and checked my bed like normal and found hair was everywhere I need this place to start changing the sheets like they are suppose to The shower had hair in it

The staff was great but the room was not up to standard Thankfully I always bring cleaning supplies on my trips and my own bedding for times like this

Chelsey Kreil

Hotel Was Perfectly Situated, Easy To Access This Is Super Important When Unfamiliar With Baton Rouge! Shower/Bathroom Facilities Were Amazing! The Shower Was Modern With Plenty Of Hot Water And Shampoo/Conditioner Dispenser Available ‘In’ The Shower These Products Have Left My Hair Soft And Feeling Amazing For Two Days! One Tidbit To Share Is That The Beds Are Very Soft, Almost Too Soft (If There Is Ever Such A Thing)

After Having Been On The Road For Hours It Was Nice To Sink Into The Covers And Before I Know It I Took A Nap (Haha)

Paul Woodburn

I had a brief stay in this hotel on business and the outside and foyer was quite nice Adequate parking, shuttle service to the airport and within walking distance to heart attack inducing fast food and fast casual eating establishments The room however was another level

A lower level I went to bed fine that first night but then I was awakened by a loud screech outside my window and something crawling on my face Did I just check in to the Bates motel instead of Springhill Suites? Disoriented after being jarred from a long overdue sleep, I got up to check the noise It was a black bird with a nest in a tree outside my window and a line of ants with a trail leading to my bedDefinitely in need of an ant/termite fumigation treatment Surprised it has not been reduced to an anthill already

One of the best staysI never give reviews because I don’t care toBut in this case, this hotel made my stay very comfortable, very secured

I enjoyed my time here due to having a beautiful clean roomThe service was excellentTen minutes after my arrival, the staff called my room and asked if everything was good and if I needed anything I was quite impressedWhen ever I called for extra things, they would be at my door, matter in minutesI don’t recommend any other place, I originally flew up and stayed at the Hilton garden, DONT DO IT!I was there for two days and my nose became stuffy, there was huge roaches in there, it smelled like mucky airIt was terribleAnd I searched through 20 other hotels and Town-place seem legitAfter staying here for the remaining 8 days, it really made this business trip very comfortableThank you and your staff for a lovely stay 🙏

Brian

A relatively new hotel that was clean and had nice sized rooms The staff were friendly and professional The parking lot is large, with room behind the hotel for several large trucks or trucks with trailers to park

It was easily accessible from the interstate and had a few stores and fast food restaurants around The hotel’s hot breakfast was a sad joke as it is with virtually every M—–tt branded hotels nowadays There are a few new hotels clustered together at this exit but other than that it is a bit of a shady area The hotel seemed safe enough, but I wouldn’t recommend a single female venturing outside after dark

I selected it for the location which was great, but my room was not very clean, still had pop stains on the bed side table and fingerprints on the mirror and some hair left on the bathroom counter I asked for room service but when I got back later it hadn’t been done I asked again and it was done

Tip! Make sure there isn’t a Cheer competition at the hotel when you stay there No ones fault but wow, its noisy

Michal Brichacek

Very good hotel Staff that we dealt with were all very friendly and pleasant Rooms were clean and comfortable

The hotel has lots of parking available at no charge The pool area is very nice and well maintained The gym is probably the best I’ve seen of any hotel anywhere It has plenty of modern equipment available, and has both an indoor and outdoor section

Autumn Mastin

I had posted a review meant as a draft but it was handled by the manager before I even knew it was posted The staff has been accommodating of the issues I had upon arriving My room didn’t have a dresser and they offered to move me to a different one, and the fridge was warm, but fixed by maintenance once notified

Big thank yous to the staff and manager for sure

We stayed at the Watermark Hotel in Baton Rouge a few weekends ago and had a lovely experience Everyone there was friendly, engaging and professional We highly recommend this beautiful and historical hotel for your next visit to Baton Rouge

The rooms and artwork are outstanding We would like to give a shout out to Mr Bill who gave us the best tour we’ve ever had at a hotel If he’s not the official, historical tour guide, he should be! What a beautiful soul and incredibly sweet man

Angie Chen

We have been to a lot of Marriotts both domestically and internationally This is by far one of the best What makes it extra special is the staff, from front desk check in to security

They really go out of their way to make you feel welcomed and special The hotel building itself is a destination on to its own with rich history and interesting architecture details The rooms are well designed and beds are comfortable The views of the Mississippi River cannot be beat Highly recommended as a great stop on the way or back from Florida

We stayed at the Watermark as part of a wedding and had a wonderful time The rooms were very nice and the staff was even nicer I must admit the valet team was superb! They were quick to retrieve our cars, engaging and very friendly

James, in particular, was extremely nice as he loaded our car for departure I wish I knew the names of the other valets because they were all outstanding!

We stayed 1 night at this hotel, on our travels to Texas We were a little early at check in but Cynthia at the front desk got are room ready for us right away Cynthia at the front desk is so helpful and super sweet! Her smile and friendliness is so welcoming when you first walk into the hotel!! The kids were hungry from our travel so she gave them a snack to hold them over until we get some food

All the staff goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is comfortable Rooms are spacious and clean Breakfast was great they had something for everyone The staff being so friendly and helpful makes this stay a 10 out of 10! Great food and excellent service! We stayed for one night while en route to Florida for our kids’ band camp Embassy Suites Baton Rouge’s customer service definitely deserves 5 stars! 1) My daughter needed a quiet room to practice her saxophone Without hesitation, we were allowed to use a vacant conference room

2) My son needed a haircut, so a Hilton staff member recommended a local barber My husband called the barber and he explained that he usually doesn’t accept walk-ins, but was able to fit my son in his schedule within 30 minutes of the call! 3) There was a landscaping company replacing the plants inside of the hotel I jokingly asked one of them what they did with the old plants He smiled and handed me a beautiful plant that I hope to enjoy for a long time 4) Lastly, breakfast was excellent They make THE BEST omelettes and have the freshest fruit Until next time…

This hotel is perfectly situated within immediate access to a variety of entertainment, restaurants, as well as the interstate Rooms are spacious, clean, and moderately updated Breakfast was unbelievably satisfying, as were the drinks during their free cocktail hours at their full service restaurant

However, the true stars of this place is the staff, ESPECIALLY Cameron Calhoun on the evening shift at the front desk Cameron was exquisitely pleasant, and the term “over-the-top” doesn’t even convey his professional , yet lighthearted demeanor! He is a fine representation of southern hospitality at its finest! Though we didn’t receive our welcome bag on our first night (checked in by someone different), he made sure we received one Cameron Calhoun is the epitome of an individual with impeccable character, and represents this fine hotel chain in such an outstanding way! Excellent job Embassy!
