Does not live up to the Hampton brand Tiny room Dirty room

Dirt smears on the built in wardrobe Sticky substance on the headboard Leaves and dirt came out of the pullout bed my kids slept in Not at all what I would expect from a Hampton Absolutely terrible value for the money I give two stars because the night desk was polite and responsive when I called

Jake Tarallo

I’m in a family of five so we had to get a cot When we showed up the room we find out that the room is tiny We had to move some furniture just so we can use the cot

Not only that, but I found an ear plug, lego piece, and a bottle under the bed Since they were adjoining rooms, I think I heard the other people sleeping or they where noises from the hotel Speaking of noises, this hotel is right next to a highway so I could barley sleep and on top of that, the cot was uncomfortable The people there where very helpful Anyways it was barely enough to get through the night I hope this review is helpful

I stayed there this weekend and checked my bed like normal and found hair was everywhere I need this place to start changing the sheets like they are suppose to The shower had hair in it

The staff was great but the room was not up to standard Thankfully I always bring cleaning supplies on my trips and my own bedding for times like this

Chelsey Kreil

Hotel Was Perfectly Situated, Easy To Access This Is Super Important When Unfamiliar With Baton Rouge! Shower/Bathroom Facilities Were Amazing! The Shower Was Modern With Plenty Of Hot Water And Shampoo/Conditioner Dispenser Available ‘In’ The Shower These Products Have Left My Hair Soft And Feeling Amazing For Two Days! One Tidbit To Share Is That The Beds Are Very Soft, Almost Too Soft (If There Is Ever Such A Thing)

After Having Been On The Road For Hours It Was Nice To Sink Into The Covers And Before I Know It I Took A Nap (Haha)

Paul Woodburn

I had a brief stay in this hotel on business and the outside and foyer was quite nice Adequate parking, shuttle service to the airport and within walking distance to heart attack inducing fast food and fast casual eating establishments The room however was another level

A lower level I went to bed fine that first night but then I was awakened by a loud screech outside my window and something crawling on my face Did I just check in to the Bates motel instead of Springhill Suites? Disoriented after being jarred from a long overdue sleep, I got up to check the noise It was a black bird with a nest in a tree outside my window and a line of ants with a trail leading to my bedDefinitely in need of an ant/termite fumigation treatment Surprised it has not been reduced to an anthill already

Finally made it to The Stockade and LOVED everything about our stay Ms Janice’s home is so welcoming and almost feels like you’re visiting with a family member

Since it was my birthday we opted for the romance package—totally worth it! Flowers were beautiful, charcuterie perfect for afternoon snacking, and breakfast in bed was so flavorful!!! Making excuses to visit Baton Rouge so that we can stay again

Jackie Broussard

From being greeted with a welcome sign on our door to a wonderful breakfast we were so relaxed and enjoyed our two night stay! Janice was super sweet even checking with a friend for recommendations to a restaurant Asked housekeeper where ice was and before I knew it knock was at my door and she was handing me ice! Can’t wait to go back

would recommended the Stockade B&B to any couple wanting a relaxing place with great hosts! The Broussards

Mae Mayeux

Recently, I stayed at The Stockade Bed and Breakfast for 4 nights during the week while I attended a seminar in Baton Rouge I cannot write a review that would justify how much I enjoyed my stay, but I will try I had the pleasure of staying in the Garden Room, which was beautifully decorated and so comfortable that I felt like I was coming home each night

The shower – how awesome is that shower! I have stayed at The Stockade before in other rooms, all of which were just as comfortable I enjoyed the balcony in the evenings which overlooks the treed and private back yard My room not only was comfortable, but quiet as well I felt like I was the only one there, but I’m quite sure that the B&B was full some of those nights Sammy’s Grill across the street was so convenient when I was too tired to go out to dinner somewhere else in Baton Rouge The innkeeper was pleasant and helpful, providing me instructions on how to get downtown each morning in the least amount of traffic I did not get to enjoy the breakfasts because my seminar started too early, but I could smell it cooking when I left each morning and I know from past visits that it is always delicious and a delight of the guests I cannot recommend The Stockade enough It’s so much more comfortable than any hotel I’ve ever stayed at There’s no doubt that I will stay there again next time I visit Baton Rouge

Haylee Barta

I don’t normally leave reviews for hotels, but this one was such a nice stay The lobby smells like a wonderful cologne, but not overbearing on your nose The rooms are clean, and newly renovated, the beds are super comfortable

The front desk staff are so nice and friendly, they even smile and look at you when you walk into the lobby The area is safe and I didn’t have to worry about leaving my vehicle outside all night

Mrs Dick

Great place to stop! The lobby and our room were very nice It looks like the bathroom still needed to be updated, but it was still better than most Very good option if you are bringing a pet! Remember if you selected breakfast, because I didn’t see it itemized on the receipt, so I started second guessing myself

It wasn’t until we got down the road that I went back and looked closer at the web browser, and saw that the rate said with breakfast

RVPeak

I love my stay at this location It has a great restaurant and bar, it made it easier to stay in and relax The weight room is more equipped than you would normally expect from a standard hotel

The pool is a little small but you can’t expect everything to be perfect I really appreciate that they have full service room cleaned out without having to ask for it Overall it was a great stay and I will be back

I selected it for the location which was great, but my room was not very clean, still had pop stains on the bed side table and fingerprints on the mirror and some hair left on the bathroom counter I asked for room service but when I got back later it hadn’t been done I asked again and it was done

Tip! Make sure there isn’t a Cheer competition at the hotel when you stay there No ones fault but wow, its noisy

Michal Brichacek

Very good hotel Staff that we dealt with were all very friendly and pleasant Rooms were clean and comfortable

The hotel has lots of parking available at no charge The pool area is very nice and well maintained The gym is probably the best I’ve seen of any hotel anywhere It has plenty of modern equipment available, and has both an indoor and outdoor section

Autumn Mastin

I had posted a review meant as a draft but it was handled by the manager before I even knew it was posted The staff has been accommodating of the issues I had upon arriving My room didn’t have a dresser and they offered to move me to a different one, and the fridge was warm, but fixed by maintenance once notified

Big thank yous to the staff and manager for sure

Shantel Robinson

We had a few issues with our double queen room We found a lot of hair in the sheets (on both beds) as we were inspecting the room, on arrival However, Mrs

Mary at the front desk , was very understanding and had us moved to a different room Sadly, the new room had sheets with SEVERAL stains on it Mrs Danielle immediately had the lead housekeeper change our sheets Unfortunately, by then we just did not feel very comfortable We were trying to have a nice evening out since our son was away, but we decided we would just feel better at home or another hotel Mrs Danielle was very understanding, apologetic and swift to act as she too has children, and related to us wanting to unwind Though the room(s) we’re disappointing the customer service was greatSide note: My wife went to the bistro where she met Ms Yvette She bragged to me about how nice she was and she appreciated it

Tristan Hood

The staff was friendly and helpful The common areas were well set up The room we stayed in had some blood stains, but the staff were quick to respond and accommodating

The room was spacious and the beds were not terribly uncomfortableThe biggest issue was the shower The drain didn’t make sense and backed up the whole time There’s not much worse than standing in a puddle of your own filthOverall, not the cleanest feeling, but the staff was nice The aesthetic was well updated but did not cover up the overall dirty feelingOverall, would still probably stay again, just if the value or cost made sense

Damon Bernard

It’s about time for remodeling Nice people barely a step up from a choice hotelWould stay there again with a good rate

I’m also a choice member, and personally I like comfort suitesMy wife loves courtyard, most of the times the the courtyard exceeds expectationsGREAT SERVICE AT THIS PROPERTY

We stayed at the Watermark Hotel in Baton Rouge a few weekends ago and had a lovely experience Everyone there was friendly, engaging and professional We highly recommend this beautiful and historical hotel for your next visit to Baton Rouge

The rooms and artwork are outstanding We would like to give a shout out to Mr Bill who gave us the best tour we’ve ever had at a hotel If he’s not the official, historical tour guide, he should be! What a beautiful soul and incredibly sweet man

Angie Chen

We have been to a lot of Marriotts both domestically and internationally This is by far one of the best What makes it extra special is the staff, from front desk check in to security

They really go out of their way to make you feel welcomed and special The hotel building itself is a destination on to its own with rich history and interesting architecture details The rooms are well designed and beds are comfortable The views of the Mississippi River cannot be beat Highly recommended as a great stop on the way or back from Florida

We stayed at the Watermark as part of a wedding and had a wonderful time The rooms were very nice and the staff was even nicer I must admit the valet team was superb! They were quick to retrieve our cars, engaging and very friendly

James, in particular, was extremely nice as he loaded our car for departure I wish I knew the names of the other valets because they were all outstanding!

DEBIT CARD STOLEN FROM HOTEL ROOM BY STAFF!I’ve been a hilton member for 6+ years, staying at their hotels for over 200 nights per year and this is the first time I’ve experienced something similarBe very careful when you stay at this hotel I had to live through hell whenever somebody got into my room, stole my debit card and used it at a gas station in Baton Rouge

Even though the manager confirmed somebody from his team entered the room but didn’t clean it, he said the cameras were not working and that I should go to the police He washed his hands even though he knew someone was in the room whenever they were not supposed to

Sherry Jackson

Unclean Breakfast area needs someone to actually USE the vacuum cleaner Shower curtain in room looked as though No one EVER thought to take it down and wash or use bleach

It’s hookless which means you can take it down and throw it in the washer in less than 5 minutes The cloth desk chair in the room and ones in the breakfast needed to be taken out back and burned with that many nasty stains! Get wood chairs Just shameful! Glad I travel with lysol and odoban Hilton should really consider releasing this property I expected sooooo much more because it is a Hilton property One star because the sheets were white But I put my own sheet over them because you just don’t know

The service is outstanding, one of the best I’ve ever seen and we are Hilton Honors members The front desk staff was super nice, helpful and very professional The restaurant workers,Wilemenia and the others were sooo nice, and extremely helpful

The food was good and the area was very clean We had a couple of issues, but the housekeeping manager Sheila, was outstanding and very accommodating Though the room was very clean, the hotel is a little older and not as modern as I expected The hotel is in a great area and going on the navy ship tour, on the river across the street, was definitely worth it The general manager was very pleasant and helpful!

Jay

Parking is off site and a bit of a hassle Before you can park your car you have to check in to get your room key which doubles as your parking pass, then you go back out to your car, park off site and walk back to the hotel But except for that, the experience was very positive

The staff is friendly, accommodating, and the breakfast is decent with fresh fruit that was actually fresh

Steve Hubbard Floor Covering

My daughter got married down town so we choose this hotel to stay One of the reasons we stayed was because of the suites and the views The reason I am so happy we stayed is because the staff was fabulous

I let one horrible woman ruin my experience Very nice Christmas light display park behind the hotel Located in a hotel mall it was a nice out of the way area but close to the interstate

Very long day traveling 12 hours arriving at night Yeah it’s at night The last thing in the world I needed was Someone miserable Worst La Quinta hotel out of 5 I’ve stayed in over this past yearYoung Girl who checked me in absolutely horrible! TV not working she became very upset as if I was to blame, and I was bothering her for assistance My phone dead I asked her for the address of the place, (what town) again, I was bothering her My phone charger broke she said she did not have one, did not even bother to lookWhen I asked her why she was upset she, threatened to throw me out Froze in my room because I did not know how to operate a thermostat and could not afford to ask as I did not want to risk being thrown out in the middle of the night with my dog Young man next morning could not have treated me better, Without a second thought, when asked for a charger, he reached into a drawer and pulled out a correct charger Breakfast was nice as well as the morning staff I Should have stayed next door at the Motel 6 I checked Motel 6 beforehand $51 but wanted to treat myself to something nicer after a very long drive from upstate, NY) Total waste of hard earned money due to One very unaccommodating employee

Jeffrey Su

We stayed here once and loved it so much that our next time back we booked this same place again in a heartbeat Loved it again! Clean, elegant, very comfortable rooms! Also very near Baton RougeNeutral: The bed is indeed kinda tall, I think due to a thick mattress, it has some nice pros but also some cons for shorter people

Overall we liked itCons: Free breakfast is nice, but it’s not the fanciest, don’t get your expectations too high

Hardik Sanghvi

Nice motel with good rooms Size of rooms are big Staff and owner are very good

It might be cheaper to call and book!

The breakfast was one of the better ones I have seen in a while, fresh scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, gravy and biscuits, waffles and cereal and bagels The breakfast was buffet style and very professionally done and maintainedNot very expensive and it was a $40 deposit for our dog to be in the room with us

The key card readers barely worked at our door and at the pool We saw folks having try try and swipe several times to even get a light on the readers The digital key just plain didn’t work

Also, I realize we’re 24 months deep with COVID, and masks are optional, but it’s just plain silly for those staff members that choose to wear them, had them below the nose and mouth, either wear it right or don’t wear oneThe rooms are alright, the lighting needs some help being super dim, and nothing substantial to light up the bathroom

Rhonda McDaniel

The hotel and rooms were nice We had a room with 3 adults Advised on first night if we could get set up for 3 people instead of just 2 for towels

Every morning and evening we had to go to the desk and ask for more towels Was also told to put our dirty towels in the hallway where they sat I’d asked for room service to come in and clean, take trash and used towels Was told that bc we had multiple days they only came in when asked Even after asking they still didn’t come in The pillows on the bed were the size of accent pillows for your couch and only 2 on the bed When we booked the breakfast was complimentary On the first night we found out that it was now $15 a person which was absolutely priced too high for the few items they had I would not book at this location again

Melissa Edwardsen

I can see this is a refurbished hotel I chose this over Home2 because of the pictures The lobby looked new but the elevators and rooms were average

In parts of the room there were rusts The AC in the bedroom didn’t work I chose a room and didn’t realize that the bathroom was situated outside of the bedroom across the living room Not nice in there at allplus carpet was old

This was an amazing hotel! I usually don’t sleep well when I am away from home, but the room and the bed wereso comfortable that I slept the whole night without a problem I loved the dual shower heads in bathroom, with the with the large rain feature I also love the small details: for example, each floor has art featuring small Rodrigue paintings/replicas directing you to your room

The only downside was a view of a derelict building from my window

F. R. (Effective Problem Solving)

One of the nicest IHG hotel that I recently stayed at Great friendly and helpful staff Clean room and the view is amazing

Noisy air condition Great breakfastWarning: no parking available and valet is $27/day

JT Gold

Very unpleasant experience I’m not sure what has happened to IHG over the past year or 2 but it’s sad For 1 my experience today when checking in, I was not greeted with a thank you for being a diamond Elite member, 2nd my Room preference floor level was not anywhere near correct, 3rd no upgrades were offered, 4th I felt like I was rushed without anyone behind me in line, and 5th parking was not available so valet parking is required and an extra charge to the almost $200 after taxes Room bill per night

What was the point for striving to earn points and becoming an Diamond Elite member when you get the same level of service as a fast food restaurant 😓

We stayed 1 night at this hotel, on our travels to Texas We were a little early at check in but Cynthia at the front desk got are room ready for us right away Cynthia at the front desk is so helpful and super sweet! Her smile and friendliness is so welcoming when you first walk into the hotel!! The kids were hungry from our travel so she gave them a snack to hold them over until we get some food

All the staff goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is comfortable Rooms are spacious and clean Breakfast was great they had something for everyone The staff being so friendly and helpful makes this stay a 10 out of 10! If your traveling through this area you cant go wrong with staying here!

Great food and excellent service! We stayed for one night while en route to Florida for our kids’ band camp Embassy Suites Baton Rouge’s customer service definitely deserves 5 stars! 1) My daughter needed a quiet room to practice her saxophone Without hesitation, we were allowed to use a vacant conference room

2) My son needed a haircut, so a Hilton staff member recommended a local barber My husband called the barber and he explained that he usually doesn’t accept walk-ins, but was able to fit my son in his schedule within 30 minutes of the call! 3) There was a landscaping company replacing the plants inside of the hotel I jokingly asked one of them what they did with the old plants He smiled and handed me a beautiful plant that I hope to enjoy for a long time 4) Lastly, breakfast was excellent They make THE BEST omelettes and have the freshest fruit Until next time…

This hotel is perfectly situated within immediate access to a variety of entertainment, restaurants, as well as the interstate Rooms are spacious, clean, and moderately updated Breakfast was unbelievably satisfying, as were the drinks during their free cocktail hours at their full service restaurant

However, the true stars of this place is the staff, ESPECIALLY Cameron Calhoun on the evening shift at the front desk Cameron was exquisitely pleasant, and the term “over-the-top” doesn’t even convey his professional , yet lighthearted demeanor! He is a fine representation of southern hospitality at its finest! Though we didn’t receive our welcome bag on our first night (checked in by someone different), he made sure we received one Cameron Calhoun is the epitome of an individual with impeccable character, and represents this fine hotel chain in such an outstanding way! Excellent job Embassy!

Gonna put this as simple as possible It’s an old “no tell, motel” that someone bought and slapped the “Marriott” brand on and now charge Marriott rates It’s nothing more than a cheap hotel with a bandaid on it at your expense

Not worth the Marriott rates Staff were friendly and a lot of help for what they have to work with Marriott pull your “brand” off this one Only reason I stayed here and the last time

Hope and Jason Roberts

Called to discuss a recent receipt issue about being charged for a service pet and had the rudest customer service experience over the phone The girl that answered was not cordial upon answering and was very argumentative and confrontational about my issue giving me grief over this issue I Will never book this hotel again

Claire Bland

Staff was great and place was very quiet First hotel I’ve stayed at in a while that didn’t have noisy maids that wake you up slamming doors and cleaning by 9 am We were by elevator and didn’t hear it either which is really unusual

Not the nicest atmosphere but to be fair it’s a LSU hotel Beds were great Tv was large and had a streaming option Bar downstairs Quaint but good enough for some cocktails with friends

Normal Hotel, nothing special The front office did give us a hard time because we had a small dog with us The hotel is supposed to be pet friendly

The pet fee is also higher than at other pet friendly hotels Also my son got bit by a bug the one night we stayed Now we are at urgent care getting the venom out to see what bit him There was one girl that was nice to us, yet not so much from the others Probably not heading back to that one

I have stayed at Hampton Inn hotels many times and I must say this hotel stay is by far the worst Upon arrival the key card system was down and we had to be escorted to our room The TV was not working, however a front desk staff was able to solve this problem

My family and I attempted to use the fitness center There was a dead roach by a treadmill and neither treadmill worked We have always enjoyed the breakfast at Hampton Inns, but at this hotel it is sub-par and the orange juice machine is broken As I write this review, I have one more night for my stay and my key card, which I finally got, doesn’t work, and housekeeping did not service my room I will not stay at this hotel again

We a family of 4 stayed here in July 2022 for four nights and we enjoyed it The beds are comfy The hot breakfast taste good! Con was they would run out of some foods and one day the breakfast staff called in sick so the front desk lady had to do double duty and run the breakfast

She did great under the condition Our room, breakfast area, and everywhere else was clean The black out shade in our room would come off the track ( needs to be replaced ) and the light fixture in our room near the door did not work We would stay here again

Debra May

Upon arrival at the front desk, I met a beautiful soul by the name of Holly She was just as sweet as can be My first words to her were, “you look exhausted!” She smiled & stated that she was

She seemed to be working short handed & with a major dance convention & baseball tournament going on in the area, she held this place down & rocked her customer service skills Major kudos to her & a huge thanks for being you When I entered the room, it was exceptionally clean & smelled fresh I always clean with my Clorox wipes then spray Lysol & the wipes were clean afterwards except for the toilet handle There was a little food stain on the comforter which meant that it hadn’t been changed but it was nothing major to complain about as I travel with my own linen The only issue that I had was the drain in the bathtub was stuck & the water wasn’t draining properly My stay was good & I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in the area
