Unsatisfying stay, despite the high price tag First room I was given had a broken shower and damaged ceiling with paint falling down Maintenance didn’t show up to fix the shower, had to request a move to another room

Second room was in better condition thankfully Air conditioner is annoyingly loud, as others have mentioned Breakfast is comically expensive ($25 because of automatic gratuity) considering it’s not made-to-order While eating, another person came in, got the “to-go” option for $7, then sat down at a table and was served by waitstaff Over a week after staying, never received bonus points included in rate I’ll be staying elsewhere next time I’m in the area

I was there for a long weekend The check in was very simple Everyone I encountered was kind and very helpful

The rooms were nice, I prefer a more minimalistic aesthetic so it was right up my alley The best part of my stay was the bar in the hotel on the lobby floor Leighton was the best! He is so warm, inviting and made everyone very comfortable He made all of the patrons feel welcome and somehow facilitated us all becoming one big family It definitely gave Cheers (the show) vibes after a while I appreciated him also because as a single female traveler he made sure he kept his eye on me (not in a creepy way) which I appreciated! I will definitely be back and I recommend the hotel to anyone heading to midtown

Omg this place… The worst So incredibly expensive for what it is

You get “felt” comforter, you might want to bring your own blanket it’s that flimsy and thin, poky uncomfortable pillows, you don’t get a sample of a luxury shampoo or conditioner, you get generic stuff that is stuck to the wall Bathroom shower is made out of plastic, loud ac/heat unit that wakes you up at night AND NO BREAKFAST included in your $250 stay Wow Other guests that were staying there were complaining about the same things Super overpriced for what it is Oh and the most important! No room service, like what? lol terrible place

Great Hotel The rooms were really nice and clean The lobby was and common areas were super nice! The elevators were awesome

People who are complaining that they take too long are impatient and don’t know what they’re talking about I stayed at 3 hotels in downtown Atlanta (all were super busy) and this one had the best elevator service When these hotels get so busy, there is nothing they can do to speed up the elevators and also nothing wrong with the elevators if they take a while It is very typical for these downtown hotels to have really busy elevators sometimes This hotel should NOT modernize their elevators because they work fine and modernizing would take a whole elevator out of service for months which is super inconvenient I’ve seen hotels try upgrading the elevators and it makes the problems WAY worse, if they tried that here it would be a disaster All the bad reviews about the elevators are coming from people who know nothing about elevators and have no clue what they’re saying Plus modernizing is a waste of money I wish they still had a pool but this is still a great hotel and I would recommend staying here

Stephen Rang

The staff was very friendly and approachable and our room was very clean The shower was slow to drain, but it was manageable and we were only there for 2 nights There should have been clearer communication regarding parking and adding parking to your reservation

We were able to do it at the front desk, but would have preferred to have known about the $35/day parking charge ahead of time, especially so we could have added it on to the room reservation at the beginning and saved time waiting in line for the front desk before going to dinner

L Bailey

The restaurants at this hotel are way OVERPRICED!!! The room doesn’t have a microwave What are guests supposed to do when he/she wants to heat up a meal or drink? No housekeeper come by to check if fresh towels are needed If you are staying for a couple of days; surely, he/she will not be using the same towels over and over again

The parking should be not be charged extra for the PRICE of a room per night!!!! That is so absurd Plus the structure of the parking area could have been better The elevator to the parking area had an out of order sign making it difficult to get to your vehicle I had to find the stairs along with some other guests that tried to find his/her vehicle That was so frustrating For the PRICE of this hotel, this could have been better

Just another hotel taking advantage of covid to cut back on amenities and service You have to argue with the front desk to get your room cleaned or towels replaced Even after that, good luck getting housekeeping to show up

In my case, they lied and claimed my do not disturb sign was posted From my room, the elevators were very loud – to the point that it seemed like I was sleeping next to the interstate during peak hours On top of this, there was no hot water or heat for 2 days during my stay Did they offer a refund or new accommodations for this massive inconvenience? Yeah, no You’re better off pitching a tent in Olympic park and showering in the fountain This Westin is a joke yet still charges $250 per night Recommend staying somewhere else Breakfast was consistently good in the cafe Good views from the sundial restaurant

So, to begin with I was checked into a room that hadn’t been cleaned There was trash in the trash cans, the table tops had some kind of dried sticky substance on them, there were dirty towels on the bathroom floor and the bed looked like someone had just taken a nap I tried to reason that maybe they’d turned the covers down for visitors to get into bed easier

NO, this wasn’t that This was a dented pillow where someone had been laying and a bed that someone had hopped out of really quickly They did get me checked into another room within 30 minutes However, I’d made my reservation weeks in advance It shouldn’t have been that hard to check me into a clean room Then there was way too much noise in the halls all evening and valet took forever The view of the city was amazing However, the entire experience for the price was just horrible Completely ghetto hotel, I’ll never stay there again, and if you can avoid it don’t stay here

Jinnafer Shumate

The hotel itself it’s beautiful with breath taking views , the management was accommodating as well We arrived at 6 pm and stood in line to check in to our room until 7:05 to be told that the deluxe room we booked was no longer available but we would get a king bed room and a $100 hotel credit We were finally able to get our deluxe room as well as the credit

We enjoyed our stay until it was time to get our car from valet , we waited 45 minutes and finally asked where our car was and they said they called our name but most certainly did not What is the point of paying 50 dollars for valet if it’s not going to be convenient when we could’ve parked across the street for 7 bucks Overall experience was mediocre at best and definitely not worth the prices you pay Also we chose to use some of our credit at the bar and waited another 35 minutes for 3 cocktails

Make sure to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏᴄᴏm when booking any hotel They compare hundreds of booking web sites and normally will have rates much cheaper compared to others! Thank me later on! This place is one of my favorites in the area

I have been staying here for years If you choose this place you will love it I’m sure! The front desk staff are amazing and super friendly! This W hotel definitely needs a renovation, especially inside the rooms/hallways but the exceptional front desk staff made up for itLocation is great for tourist attractions like the aquarium/ Coca Cola world but if you’re looking for walkable shops and restaurants I prefer to stay in midtownThank you for a great stay!

Jen V.

If you’re into a retro contemporary hotel the the W Atlanta is the place to be! The service was excellent and the staff were very friendly and helpful The rooms, eh

the purple and gray colors were interesting The bed was comfy The shower, all though sleek and modern, needed a door to prevent the water from splashing out on the floor The rooftop pool was fantastic! The food and drinks were good but way over priced, so be prepared to pay All in all, a great stay and would recommend

Angela Froning

I was super disappointed The rooms are really showing signs of age The hotel does not get the traffic it used to on the weekend

I booked a staycation because this used to be a great nightlife spot I was the only person in the bar/restaurant besides someone who was visiting the bartender and she kept disappearing to spend time with him Before checkout, I went to get breakfast and had a bizarre confrontation with someone who works in the kitchen And then waited a very, very long time on my food because they are short staffed Funny how my pricing reflected a full staff Over all, there were about 2x as much staff as guests which is crazy to see and yet no one has any desire to do anything besides just stand behind a desk Oh and the pool area – the once gem of this place – completely run down For $180 a night I may have given 3 stars but for $300+, I was just ripped off Kicker is, I can’t even leave this review on Marriott because I wasn’t “invited” to leave a review Really, Marriott?

I could not have asked for better service from each and every staff member I will definitely stay here again This is my new favorite place to stay in Atlanta

The room was amazing and the ladies at the front desk, each employee I encountered during my stay were welcoming, warm, and genuine I’ve traveled all over the world and this might have been the best service I’ve ever received Everything was perfect! Clean, upscale place, central location, in-room dining, luxury and comfort at its best THANK YOU!

Chelsey Shirey

To start, the building is beautiful The way that they hotel captured the historic feel of the hotel and kept it updated was greatThe room: we booked a suite

The room was very large and impressive We had a soaking tub, which did not come with any kind of salts or soap to use in it, only a face bar Our king bed had a wine stain on the comforter, which had a sheet tightly wrapped around it, assuming they didn’t want anyone to noticeThe only option for your car is to valet, which comes at a $45 per night price tag and also a very long wait any time you needed your carOur baby became very ill during our visit, so we had to check out a whole day early We were told a refund for the remaining night would be processed – but when we checked back a few days later about the refund, we were denied the refundOverall, nice hotel, but the price-tag and amenities don’t make it worth it for us to return

Chris D

Very nice hotel, I loved the historic details including the 6 period lifts and letter chutesAttached restaurant is excellent, great food and priced about right for quality and ambienceBedroom was well designed and comfortable as well as spacious

Very cleanGym had modern treadmills that synched with Apple Watch Clean and niceOn a negative I felt the room service was over priced in having food+20% service charge+ delivery fee +tipThe Hotel is a short walk to the Georgia Aquarium and the National Civil Rights MuseumLocation wise the area has some architecturally historic buildings and big brand hotels but some people may be challenged by the high numbers of street homeless – which is sad to see, and not unique to Downtown Atlanta It’s easy to get ride share rides wherever you wish from thereI would stay again and though not cheap it was worth it Thanks guys

I am absolutely blown away by the service provided here and their amazing staffTraci, the manager on site was extremely considerate and mindful the entire time I was here She had noticed me taking calls outside due to the loud noise from the main lobby and offered me a complimentary time in the M lounge to take my calls and for writing also

She has no idea how much of a big difference that made, she totally made my day with that mindful and considerate gestureThe M lounge is perfect for all guests looking for a serene space to be productive or even just to lounge! They have it set it up in luxury with snacks, complimentary wine and other refreshments that are self served I loved how clean it was and just absolutely quiet yet still had an open air environment where I was able to enjoy the sunlight shinning in and fresh breeze from their air conditioningI also want to thank the front staff for their awesome and kind gestures and just amazing service that they provided to me during my stay, the front desk staff were so considerate during check in when there was an issue with the card I intended to use and explained everything clearly to me so I knew what needed to be done on my behalf They were also kind enough to provide me complimentary breakfast during my stay for the card confusion, which was so appreciated by me The breakfast was amazing and my room even was even more amazing and clean It was so nice to stay in a big comfy bed with the most soft pillowsI have to say this property was impressive, the main lounge area and the M lounge but also the fact that they were serving complimentary smoothie shots in the mornings, refreshments, even wine and cocktails during certain parts of the evening which astounded me I felt like I was staying in luxury and had every care and concern cared for and attended to by the staff Thank you so much for the beautiful work you did and the great stay!

Nichole King

The staff here are wonderful! We’d especially like to recognize Kamil who would greet us each morning in the M-Club concierge room She always had a smile, very friendly, and went out of her way to accommodate our requests She displayed passion and love for her job and is the prime example of excellent customer service

All of the staff at this Marriott have been pleasant and helpful! Even though we’ve had nicer (fancier) rooms at other nearby hotels, we return here for the staff!

Becky Wheeler

Great stay for the money, especially on Mother’s Day weekend! Our staff was super nice and helpful, and they even brought us a complimentary tray of cookies and brownies to our room! The rooms were nice and clean The AC didn’t push out as cold air as we like (but we like it cold) No biggie

Definitely recommend this hotel! Right across from Lenox Mall and minutes walk to Phipps Plaza

Very nice hotel Staff was kind and helpful My room was very clean and the balcony was beautiful at night

I do wish there was seating on the balcony as if was nice to end the night our there before turning into bed There is a cute bakery across the street with amazing breakfast and lunch choices The hotel is attached to 2 other hotels which makes it nice for dinner/restaurant options There is also a food court connecting the hotels which is open 6am to 6pm on most days CVS was just a 2 min walk from the hotel if you forgot anything Will definitely stay here again!

I enjoyed my stay, at the Hyatt Regency, was an excellent choice I was able to check in early which was so appreciative The staff from entrance & car service to the front desk was on point

It was a nice additive to have guest attentiveness, professional, and friendly staff to ensure my stay to be enjoyable My room was super clean and my balcony view amazing especially at night There’s plenty of places to eat The fantastic eatery across the street, in the main lobby, and the hotel connection to the marketplace

Mark S

My stay here was rather pleasant I was able to check in early which was super awesome! There’s plenty of places to eat in the main lobby and it’s connected to the marketplace Room was super clean and the balcony view was a plus

The gym was nice and spacious The elevator area can get quite crowded though I would definitely stay here again!

The Starling doesn’t offer a comfortable stay for the rate that is paid There should be designated sections of the hotel for guests with dogs A dog was barking pretty loudly right across from my room

I called to be switched to another room and received a dismissive answer from the front desk of “we don’t do that, we don’t move rooms” I called down to ask if there was a microwave for guests The answer was not for guests but there was an option to rent one for $50 Why would I spend $50 to heat food up for one minute? I asked for my room to be cleaned and received an answer that the front desk needed 24 hour notice I have never stayed in a nice hotel for $200+ a night that literally provides ZERO accommodations Hotels are supposed to be your home away from home The small details and customer service really matter to me and I am disappointed with my stay Upon checking out I asked about the protocol to leave bags behind the desk for a few hours The woman had an attitude Finding the right people to work in hospitality really does matter I stayed for my 30th birthday weekend and wouldn’t really recommend for the price I actually would like for someone to reach out to me to fix this

james schaefer

Pros:Nice decor Probably a great place for singles Nice bar and restaurant

Super friendly staff Beautiful viewsNegatives:Sheets weren’t very clean; had to pick out several black fuzzy balls and what looked like dirt Elevators are not efficient waited 10+ min to try to get to the lobby from our floor with luggage then finally took the stairs Parking is like $44 for self park with a poorly labeled door to the hotel (no signs visible from car – see pictures) If you are single and looking for a club like scene this place would be dope, but not an awesome family atmosphere Got woken up by Uncle Rico rolling in to vallet with the trap music blasting at 1am Strong smell of smoke in the hotel room and weed in the hallway Be super careful if you have little ones in the parking garage as there are big drop offs not guarded for kids (as pictured)

Cynthia Hall

I had an excellent stay! I am in Atlanta for business about once per month, and this was my first time at this hotel Fantastic and friendly service, comfy bed and room, the interior and decor is truly a work of art Over the last year, I have had only bad or par hotel experiences until last week

This hotel experience made going to a hotel fun again I had forgotten what good service was Thank you for such a great experience! The only con was the toilet had to be flushed at least 2-3 times to get the toilet paper down I’ll take that small inconvenience and stay here again

I stayed here for my birthday on 12/31/21 and I really enjoyed it The Customer Service was excellent, Sirena and Autumn are the best They greeted me and my family with such appreciation, and tended to out needs so gracefully

The view from the top floor was amazing, and the valet guys were spectacular They assisted everyone with our vehicle’s in a timely manner and did it with a smile I truly recommend this place and will be back

Nice hotel – great rooms – clean with plenty of plugs & USB ports to plug in your devices, as well as a microwave & a refrigerator There’s also a breakfast & bar area on the top floor with great views, though I wish the bar stayed open a little later (5-10 PM, except on Friday & Saturday when they close at 11) Overall the hotel is a good value, and it’s conveniently located near the Arts Center MARTA station

My only (slight) complaint is that my room did not have a bathtub

A Day In The Life

Phenomenal customer service at this location Rooms were clean and very updated and modern Bar at the top floor was awesome with a nice balcony view

Prices are fair, but the service Carter provided with Valet and the service Shanene provided at the front desk was nothing shirt of what you would expect to find at Hilton Hotels I appreciate the quality of service they gave me and represent the Hilton brand extremely well

WOW!!! Had an excellent experience at this hotel We stayed for 3 nights and really enjoyed our time there The hospitality was like none I had ever experienced, the staff was EXTREMELY friendly and very helpful

I want to take a minute to recognize the man at breakfast 2/3 days He went above and beyond to serve us and make it the smoothest process He was extremely kind and left a lasting impression in our experience The location of the hotel is wonderful for those who aren’t wanting to go far or rent a car Everything we did was in walking distance and we truly enjoyed our time in Atlanta

Kris J

I had an excellent stay here The hotel is in a great location downtown Very clean in the inside and quite

The rooms are kind of small though, but everything else was nice Everything is in walking distance from the hotel close to many great local restaurants The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful with things to to around the hotel They have a lovely rooftop patio with great views of the city Only downside was the hotel didn’t have a pool

Courtney W.

I would honestly give this a 2 1/2 star if I could this hotel did not offer parking, they did have valet parking from a 3rd party vendor for an extra $40 a day the bathroom did not have a proper door, it was a sliding door that did not give you privacy

You could see through the crack in the door which was probably 2 inches from the wall to the door when closed The fan in our bathroom did not work The hotel was suppose to offer shampoo and body wash but ours was out of both Our family of 4 stayed over the weekend, they only provided us with 2 towels and 2 washcloths, I ended up having to ask for more from the front desk The breakfast was not the best, and did not have a great variety You could make your own waffles, but other than that they only offered omelets, yogurt, and cereal This hotel was not in the best part of town The pictures are pretty deserving online While we would love to visit Atlanta again, we will definitely be staying at a different hotel Not worth the price we paid in my opinion The elevators were noisy and would vibrate/shake when moving so our kids did not like taking them

I read some negative reviews on here, so I really just wanted to clear things upThe place is great The staff is friendly, and we had everything we needed

The breakfast was bomb Reading the reviews on here of everyone made me think that they’d stayed in a different hotelI saw a lot of ranting and raving about the staff not being friendly enough, or not being fast enough Hotel staff are people, and they’re going through their own stuff I’m not the type of person who expects someone to kiss my feet everywhere I go just because I fork over some cash It seems like a lot of the reviewers wereSome people didn’t like the breakfast What were you expecting? It’s a pandemic Eat a bagel and some scrambled eggs and go see some fish at the aquarium If you’re upset about the lack of a waffle maker then idk what to tell youAlso I saw someone had to wait an ENTIRE 30 minutes for some towels Bless your heart, that’s all I can sayThe parking is expensive, I get that, but it’s downtown Atlanta The valet guys were nice and I maybe waited 5 minutes for themWe got this hotel in a package with the aquarium and had a great time Clean room and nice people What more do you want?

Micah Brown

Right across the street from the aquarium and is a nice hotel very well kept and clean No weird smells It also was very spacious rooms with a great view of the city

It’s a great place to stay because it is so close to most everything downtown Coca Cola world was close as well Beds were also very comfortable Plus had good water pressure in the shower

Josephine Neveu

This place was great! We stayed 5 nights It was quiet and clean The breakfast every morning was awesome, they had a huge selection to meet everyone’s needs

For example they have bagels, yogurt, jimmy dean sandwiches, waffles, fresh scrambled eggs, sausage, turkey links, oatmeal, etc I have never seen such an awesome complementary breakfast before The staff was so dang friendly and helpful When we checked in they provided a full list of restaurants in the area, how long it would take to walk to the restaurant, and which restaurants would deliver food For those who complained that they had to wait for towels to be brought up must have not stayed at other hotels before because it was the same amount of waiting time as other hotels I’ve been to (maybe 30 min at most) Yes, they stopped house keeping, every hotel I’ve been to since 2020 has stopped daily housekeeping However, you can request housekeeping to come to your room Parking at $40/night is a lot, but it’s in downtown Atlanta From my research at hotels in the area that seems to be a pretty common price The gentlemen working valet were very kind and helpful They move quickly, I never had to wait more than 5 min for my car If I was to stay in downtown Atlanta again, I would definitely come back

Stayed for first time to move in daughter to Emory Hotel overall was nice buy not affiliated with any loyalty programs Room and bathroom was clean and updated

One negative was very low water pressure for showers This hotel apparently does not clean rooms day to day Tried to call down to get some toiletries refreshed and got attitude from front desk staff Has nice restaurant and bar inside hotel Parking was clean and safe under hotel Likely not going to return to this hotel on future visits to Emory due to poor staff service and lack of any loyalty program

Visited Emory U This hotel does a very nice job! Loved having 2 beds, would have loved 2 queens more Great location and easy parking

Campus shuttle service avail Breakfast buffet was nice Hotel is upgrading Our original room in the South wing was right in the middle of the construction Dust was everywhere and 1 elevator is exclusive for construction The conjoining door in our 1st room would not close When I told management they moved us to the main building The remodel/ update is very nice and will be great when completed

Recently stayed here and honestly would not book againPros- Location was decent with good food and entertainment options nearby- Room was large, decently appointed, and seemed surface clean

– Beds were comfortable with luxury linens and very nice pillows- Valet and services staff were kind and very helpfulCons- We were quoted $30 per night for parking by a booking agent over the phone before we booked our stay When we went to check out we were charge $50 per night and the front desk staff refused to honor the quoted price we had been given over the phone We even had the name of the person we spoke with, as well as time/date of our call and their calls are recorded so they should have been able to confirm the validity of our claim- There was obviously water damage to the entire floor our room was on There was a slight musty smell to our room and throughout the entire hotel- The room was advertised with 2 queen sized beds but they were actually full sized beds- The rooftop pool had dead cockroaches all around it- It was difficult to regulate the room temperature, it was either hot and muggy or freezing cold- There was very little water pressure in the shower and no ledge or raised seat- We had Issues with the toilet clogging for no reason- One of the windows was also missing a set of blinds

The hotel was super clean Was in a walkable part of town The staff was great

The elevators had to be managed by staff Roof top pool was closed We were not made aware of the pool closure before arrival They did not make arrangements for an alternative pool The kitchen is listed as a full kitchen how ever the microwave did not workThere was an extra fee for dishes

claire mcbride

The front desk help was excellent and very professional and courteous We had a 2 bedroom suite – which was very big Included full kitchen and washer and dryer

The part that needs improving is the housekeeping There were several containers of leftovers in the mini refrigerator when we arrived We called Housekeeping and there were quick to come to clean it out And then in the morning, I was making sure I didn’t leave anything before Thats when I found a pair of pink girls pansies in the top drawer to the nightstand I notified the front desk as we checked out and they seemed very concerned and apologetic And lastly, we paid for 4 guests but I could only find 2 bath towels Housekeeping needs more training But other than that, great location and lovely hotel

My husband and I have been to this hotel about 8 times in the last 6 months and we love it It is pure luxury and the service and rooms are always over the top It is extremely clean and housekeeping is always accommodating

The last time we went we had some very unusual issues like the front desk never getting back to us multiple times, the food store not having drinks on hand, and the valet getting the wrong vehicle I could not bring myself to give 4 stars though because whenever we go we always have such a good time and we feel so well taken care of

Saloni Joshi

This review is for the Spa and Pool My friend and I were very excited to have a spa day for her 30th birthday I had called MULTIPLE times and even communicated with the Supervisor through email quite a bit to make this appointment

We wanted to ensure ALL the amenities were working (especially after Covid) as we wanted the whole Spa experience The day before our appointment, someone called to confirm the appointment They did not tell us that the amenities were out of service during this time When we showed up for our appointments, they told us the steam room, sauna and whirlpool area was down We elected not to get our massage service and were EXTREMELY disappointed by the lack of communication and nothing really being done by the staff to rectify this We took time off work, drove all the way down and all they could do was apologize and even said “oh we’re glad we can take off the cancellation fee for this” We had to cancel our appointment because of them and their lack of communication to us about the amenities! They did let us use the outdated pool where the music was so loud that we called requested them to turn it down, which of course the staff their did nothing about Also their were two guests there that decided to use the outside tranquil pond as their hot tub as they got in and sat in it for 20 minutes or so Just overall extremely disappointed by such a luxury brand Definitely far from luxury

Alexander Reid

I was very satisfied with the staff and their willingness to accommodate They all were friendly and professional Even if I had an issue with something, they were willing to resolve it quickly and offer me something for the inconvenience

Ms Ellen Daniels took great care of us and although this was my first stay at this hotel, it most certainly, will not be my last

I had a FANTASTIC experience at this hotel All of the hotel staff were friendly, welcoming, and helpful The room was nice, spacious, clean, and had a phenomenal bathroom

My only complaint was that I called the front desk and requested an extra set of flat sheets (2) and pillow cases (2) and they never arrived after more than 35 minutes I called them back, however, and there might have been a shift change, but they immediately resolved the issue and quickly fulfilled my request I had a very restful night with no distracting noise from other guests Great experience

Michelle Stickler

This hotel is modern and clean Guest service staff are friendly and helpful Rooms are very nicely updated with comfortable beds, separate tub/shower, and nice amenities

Very clean! Kudos to the hotel cleaning staff While I didn’t use the TV remotes, I noted they were individually wrapped in plastic, implying that they had been wiped between guests Nice touch Be aware that a double room has 2 full size beds (not queens), and, in my opinion, would not be conducive to 2 people over the age of 10 sharing My only complaints are 1) the hotel includes mini-bars instead of mini-fridges, so there is no where to chill your own water/beverages, and if you attempt to make room in the min-bar fridge, you will be assessed a charge even if you don’t actually consume the beverage If I were traveling with a family, this would be a significant deterrent; although, with the small beds I wouldn’t take a family here regardless 2) I was assigned a room with an adjoining door, and the noise carry between rooms was annoying at best when my neighbors trooped in at 11:30pm with 2 small crying children in tow 3) While the beds are very comfortable, the fluffy comfortors are far too warm for the Atlanta climate, even with the AC down to its lowest temperature Overall, a pleasant stay for a business trip

Tanya Gilyard

This hotel is great! When I arrived I was greeted by Toni at the front desk She was so pleasant and helpful She gave us suggestions on great places to eat

Every employee interaction was pleasant The employees in the market, the spa, the room service, and the maid service we’re friendly and pleasant This was truly a 5 star experience

The good: Room was clean and AC cooled the room off great Check in was pretty fast and convenient when using valet parking Super close (3-5 min walk) to Aquarium and other attractions

Also had some decent dining options within walking distance We didn’t swim but the pool looked amazingThe bad: Customer Service We checked in on Aug 1st around 7:30pm and the lady at the front desk was so rude Every time I asked her something she seemed inconvenienced or annoyed by it I thought it was just me but my husband who came in later asked her about places to eat and he said she was extremely rude to him as well That kind of service will definitely have us booking at a different hotel next time we are here The other negative was the parking options – $40 for self park or $48 for valet A $50 deposit was also added upon check in but that’s hit or miss at various hotels so wasn’t a huge surpriseI wouldn’t recommend this hotel because of their customer service, which is something I value when I’m on vacation with my family

Holly Michael

Room was clean and everyone was very nice The hotel had an excellent breakfast and amenities were clean and open Lots of kids, which was fine because we were there for a small spring break trip with 4 & 7 yo

GREAT location Walking distance to aquarium, children’s museum, park and playgrounds, Coke, and other cool stuff Not as many restaurants to walk to, but for three days it was fine Great place!

Monica Smith

The location of this hotel is perfect for Atlanta sightseeing for a couple days Literally next door to the aquarium and within quick walking distance to other attractions We could see Centennial Park from our window! We drove to the Zoo and Fernbanks Museum with ease

Super close Our 2 queen bedroom was a bit tight, but comfortable enough for us and one child and we didn’t spend much time in the room anyway The hotel restaurant is open for breakfast and was fantastic We ordered off the menu Not cheap, but delicious, fresh and convenient The Tex Mex type restaurant in the lobby was delicious for dinner We walked to Subway and Ted’s Montana Grill for other meals Coffee available in the lobby every morning also Hotel, room, and bathroom were all clean Beds comfortable enough We did encounter some people asking for money on the street but that’s in most cities so we were prepared and aware of surroundings Hotel security was great Keys required for lobby entrance and elevators Yes, parking is pricey but for the convenience we found it totally worth it We booked parking with our room rate and saved some money also The staff at this hotel were absolutely pleasurable to deal with and in the world of service these days, it was absolutely a gift that contributed to a pleasurable trip One of the restaurant hosts, Alex, was such a gem with her smile and friendliness every time we encountered her! Would absolutely stay here again for a short stay

I recently stayed at the Ellis for a tournament over the weekend; it is a charming hotel to say the least The actually building was built in 1913 and it may feel a bit smaller than modern hotels, but the space is used quite effectively and the fixtures are nice Above all, the staff are extremely courteous; southern hospitality is a real thing at this hotel

I would definitely recommend this hotel if you’re looking for something a bit different for your next stay in downtown Atlanta

Rob Turner

Outstanding front desk service! Aby was top notch She was very informative and very engaging with our kids LJ and the rest of the staff were also very helpful

The biggest issues we had were that housekeeping never came in during our stay and we had to call more than once to have a light repairedThe listing we found states that there was free breakfast and parking but unfortunately that was not the case It was an unexpected expense to valet for our stay but better than local parkingAll in all, it’s a Downtown hotel that has it’s quirks Depending on what you are looking for it might right for you

Adrian Hall

The only reason why I’m giving this 2 stars is for the customer service we received, front desk staff was excellent, but that’s where it ended This was like staying in an expensive Super 8 or Motel 6 The room we stayed in was disgusting

Not only was the furniture dated, it felt like it had never been cleaned Food was still on the floor, the AC vents looked like they had never been cleaned with dust and water stains, hair that wasn’t ours everywhere, stains on the mattress and sheets My wife was so disgusted she wouldn’t even sleep in the bed We ended up just checking out a day early and going to a different hotel because we didn’t think it could get much better if we asked for another room

I love the location for The Best of the South Basketball Tournament because all we have to do is walk straight through the hotel, to The World Congress Center They pretty much had the best price for that immediate area The bed was comfortable, I liked the shower, but the room wasn’t anything special

I was supposed to be in the North Tower, even at check in, the gentleman said North Tower, then proceeded to give me a room in the South Tower What I don’t love is Valet service The men are rude, they drive crazy with the vehicles & I have had damage 2 years in a row from this service It’s too expensive, but at least I know my car is in half way decent hands The restaurants are pretty good, but $30 for breakfast buffet is ridiculous I understand they offer a lot, but I can’t justify paying that per family member I did enjoy the 3 free drink cards for being a Gold Member & Concierge Staff was very nice I was charged $10 from being charged the extra $100 per night for incidentals I’m not sure what it was for & Staff could not tell me what it was for All we did was sleep & shower in the room, due to being at basketball games all day

Jennifer Howell

Upfront disclosure: do not pay for a balcony room, these rooms overlook a food court and the elevators are slow, there are stairs near the elevator Most disappointing is the hotel is lacking updates It felt cheap and not worth the money

I will say the beds were very comfortable Bathrooms in need of updates Expected more I will mention the restaurant near the lobby was by far the best food I’ve had in a long time The food was amazing, burgers were tasty, key lime dessert in the trio was the best

Katy Williams

The service at this hotel is some of the best I have had in Atlanta Everyone at the hotel from the valet, front desk, restaurant workers to the concierge was so helpful and friendly The hotel is extremely busy given its location and yet it never seemed like anyone didn’t have a minute for you or made you feel like they were put out

The rooms are clean and comfortable I also left 2 items in the closet in my guest room and didn’t realize this until I was home I figured, I was out of luck I called the hotel and they located the items and have already sent them in the mail to me the very next morning I highly recommend this hotel and will be coming back and staying here again
