Was able to secure a week in April for our first trip to Hilton Head Pleased to find that the property is located in the Sea Pines resort, which is full of beautiful trees and walking/bike paths galore, as well as several golf courses (all of them $$$) and restaurants Thankfully, one of those restaurants (Coast) is right next door to the Monarch, because there is no on-site dining at this property

Not even a bar So although Coast is conveniently nearby, you won’t be able to charge to your room because it’s not part of the Marriott But otherwise, the property was a little small, but beautifully maintained Two pools are available, only one (the lap pool) appeared to be heated (at least one day – another day it seemed unheated Weird) Easy access to the beach, though beach chair/umbrellas are managed by an off-site third party vendor I believe you can rent chairs only (no umbrella) from the property Rooms are big – our two-bedroom suite was roomy, with the typical MVC full kitchen and washer/dryer in the unit Second bedroom had two twin beds instead of queen or two fulls, if that matters to you Overall, a very pleasant vacation – minus one star for lack of on-site dining – but still highly recommend

My sister and I visited 11/5-11/12 and enjoyed our 2-BR villa in this tranquil, 30-unit property within walking distance of Harbour Town Checkin was a breeze with the assistance of Ms Wilma who is a social media rock star and 5-star asset to Heritage Club

She was very helpful pre-trip and arranged for bicycles and shared details for retrieving Sea Pines gate pass and deadline for checkin at property She gave us dining tips and recommendations which were spot on She is a joyful person and obviously enjoys her position which is demonstrated by her competent and positive attitudeOur only item of concern during our visit was the “heated” pool I swim in the 72-degree Homosassa Springs in FL and the water temp was comparable to that Gauge reading was 75-80 degrees during our stay but felt much colder so most guests opted for the hot tub The few hardy poolside peeps mentioned the temp to Marriott staff who strolled by outside The pool remained very chilly until our last day when a personable Jamaican engineer made some adjustments, chatted with us and said “No Problem ‘Mon” and we felt heat coming out of the spouts in the pool immediately We were on the go and busy throughout the week so that issue was a blip on our radar We utilized the bike paths and rode all over the plantation to Harbour Town, Lawton Stables, Salty Dog at South Beach, etc We are not golfers, but other guests took advantage of the nearby stellar courses and golf packageOur villa was well appointed and had undergone extensive renovation since I last stayed there The dated whirlpool tubs and gas fireplaces have vanished Our unit was spacious with an excellent floor plan for privacy among guests The kitchen has everything you need and we did cook a couple of dinners that week, but ate out the majority of the time There is a nice grill area which was cleaned to epic proportions by staff and the property landscaping is beautiful and also spotlessWe had a great week and hope to return soon to see Ms Wilma and unwind Hilton Head Island style

Checked in Saturday (I’m a platinum elite so I’m very familiar with Marriot) Marriot used to be the best hotel flag on the market Unfortunately that doesn’t apply any longer and it screams it here

On Saturday when I checked in they told me I had to go way out of the way to check in bc there would be no one attending the area I was in The kid who checked us in looked at me and said we don’t’ have any property for you After we got a manager involved he then went on to give me a wrong explanation of where I was headed and what I should look for Really upset at this point decide to let it go Day 2 keys not working and can’t get into the fitness center After a 20 minute wait someone met me to give me a new key The fitness center was tiny and the equipment was rusty and broken We went to dinner tonight to come back and find our keys not working again normally we use the app for the key but this place isn’t up to date yet It’s 930 we’re exhausted and now we are again locked out (Card was kept safely away from other cards, magnets, cell phones etc Just bad tech during a time where your tech defines you it’s another bad look When “John” came he had an insane attitude and he threw his hands up in the air like “It’s not my fault” and I asked him to simply keep his hands down and open my door Then he said “Hey I’m just trying to help you here” I said again thanks for that comment it was super helpful as we’re walking to my room he said some other snide comments about the elevator and when he asked me what my problem was I said look on your hat! Despite the construction going on at the time we stayed here, I felt that this time share had everything we needed! Where Marriott’s Heritage Club lacked in the limited accessibility due to the construction, they made up for it in their wonderful rooms and proximity to Harbor Town! Our room was full equipped for the family with large tables, plenty of seating room, beautiful bathrooms, and a balcony overlooking the pool among other outdoor activities It was clean and comfortable when we checked in, and no room felt too small (I have to add that the beds in the room were perfectly cozy as well!) I would definitely recommend this Marriott to anyone looking to visit Hilton Head!

This inn is Fantastic My husband and I are so overwhelmed by the genuine hospitality of the owners and staff of Old Town Bluffton Inn We came across this Inn on Google when we were planning our first trip to the Bluffton area

It looked nice so we decided to make a reservation From the moment we arrived, we knew we made the right decision It was beautiful, immaculately clean and welcoming We were immediately greeted by a pleasant staff member who made us feel comfortable He offered us a glass of wine at the beautiful and cozy bar on the first floor During our stay, the owners and staff made us feel at home They offered suggestions for restaurants, made reservations for us and gave us suggestions on things to do in the area They took the time to get to know us Great location within walking distance to great shops and restaurants Since our first time there, we’ve been back to stay and see our friends at Old Town Bluffton Inn We call it our home away from home Whether you’re looking for a one-night stay or extended stay, look no further You will love this upscale Inn Old Town Bluffton Inn is one of the best you will ever find

Heather Hartman

I can’t say enough about how beautiful and comfortable this Inn is! We found it on a lark, and we’ve stayed there twice in two months It is built with all the polish and finishes of the Jekyll Island Club Hotel or similar luxury properties Everything is top of the line comfort and convenience

I wish I’d taken some pictures, but we didn’t have a lot of free time this visit The owners are very personable without being overly friendly Would choose this destination every time for the Bluffton, SC area Great restaurants within walking distance including Farm, The Pearl, Nectar, and others

The 4 stars reflects what I experienced vs what I expected This is not to say it is a 4 star hotel That said, it delivered what I expected

I’m a business traveler It was easy to find and right off the highway The hotel and rooms are clean and obviously cared for Did not visit the pool Free breakfast is appreciated, with hot food, cereal, yogurt and fruits Good selection of channels on the TV No tub in my room, just a stand up shower Water pressure sucks, but that’s what I’ve come to expect from hotels The staff is friendly and check in was a breeze There are a few dining options nearby but nothing special You only have to travel 15-20 min to find a decent sit down place though

Nadia Sakkal

Excellent experience: my husband and I had car problems on a long road trip to Maryland and the entire staff was nothing short of accommodating and generous Not only were we given the room at a discounted rate, but we were also able to check out late while our car was being repaired The room was clean, spacious and comfortable, and everyone was extremely friendly

Just when I thought they couldn’t be more hospitable, the manager himself was kind enough to drop us off at the repair shop Highly recommended establishment!

Britney Honeywell

We stayed one night on our travel to Florida The receptionist was very helpful, friendly and super accommodating The lobby and room were VERY clean and modern

(And I am a pretty big skeptic/germaphobe) Location is also great- right off I95 so we could get right back to our travel in the AM Amazing price and great level of quality including a breakfast! Literally cannot beat it We will definitely stay here again on our next trip!

Our unit has been updated but when we arrived the towel rack in the master bathroom was laying on the floor You’d think that the cleaning people would have reported it I reattached the towel rack to the wall and it’s usable again

There was a bug in the ice cube tray so we scrubbed that before using The jets in the spa at the pool close to the 900 building don’t work right so if you want a decent spa experience you have to go to the spa at the entrance to Port’O Call The spa has been this way for years and apparently they refuse to fix it The screen for the patio attached to the master bedroom in unit 908 is not completely attached Other than that we enjoyed our stay

D E Mullis

Port O’ Call is perfectly located in the Shipyard area of Hilton Head Island Very close to the Shipyard beach access, golf courses, tennis complex, pool, steam room, sauna, hot tub, and more Offers multi unit condos, and private cottages

Wanted to check out Hilton Head on our way home from Savannah and chose this hotel based on good reviews and we were able to use our Hilton Honor points for a free night stay Hotel is in a good location in a quiet area Short drive to the beach

Miniature golf and shops nearby Hotel was modern and very clean Woman at front desk during our stay was super friendly and helpful Room was very spacious, modern and clean Breakfast I’m the morning had a good selection of items At this time you don’t serve yourself the food (probably because of Covid) and there is someone there who gets you what you select, which was fine but it can take a little time if there are a lot of people I felt bad for the woman because it was a lot of work and it would have been better to have two people working the breakfast area, but I know there are staffing issues Juices, cereals (had to ask for milk though) and coffee/tea were self service though Overall, happy with this hotel and would stay here again

Bill Piersol

Excellent stay! Very clean, courteous staff, and I have NEVER slept on a more comfortable bed Although breakfast was much as you might expect here, it was managed in a most responsible manner to maintain social distancing, guest service, and food quality and selection Best food service set up I’ve experienced in a hotel since March 2020

Two thumbs up and 5 ⭐ s for this stay

The experience was great! Food was good and the staff was friendly The room was generally clean, however, I always reclean my rooms because I dont completely trust the services But in general, in was clean

Being at a beach it would be nice to have a swifter or vacuum in the room to pick up any residue left behind The kitchen is a nice benefit especially for large families The washer and dryer is awesome for keeping up with clean towels and washcloths Beds could be updated, the double beds were not as comfy as the king bed The beach access was perfect in location Overall, it was a great trip and we would return again!

Kirstyn W

Stayed here for one night Was a great spot

right on the water, good amenities, friendly staff, clean, modernThe reason I’m not giving it 5 stars and why I brought it down to a 3 is because of the housekeeping harassing us Our checkout was 11am and from 8:30 on they knocked 4 times The first time (which woke me up!!)she came right into the room before I had a chance to come to the door So unprofessional I’ve never felt that way at a hotel ever

Charles Cooley

Great location close to beach Generous size room If you have to conduct business at this property bring a hotspot as the WiFi is awful

The primary concern at this property was the cleanliness of the place The room was generally clean, however, we had major issues with the bedding having blood stains Then the hotel provided additional sheets that were also stained!! Uncomfortable experience Our room also had tons of hair and the furniture needed to be cleaned; it looked like a coal miner came and sat in every chair My last critique is some staff members were total disengaged Most times, I would have to interrupt the front desk when it would be 3 people up there They would not look up and acknowledge me Once, I asked someone for the remote to the active center play station and he asked “why”? Totally rude I went to conceirge and was handle all the loose material, others received a nice bag I think the experience you have will depend on whom you interact with and the room you are assigned

Okay so everything was clean and we had great service We were greeted when we walked in each time The only thing I didn’t like was the water pressure in the shower

It took me forever to get the shampoo out! Either shower head or pressure needs to be adjusted especially considering people are coming from the beaches and need to get the sand off themselves Thanks for the great service and clean room!!!

Laron Griffin

My stay here has been excellent! Great customer service from the entire staff and Inez was exceptional! She set the bar high from when my coworkers and I first arrived They were all very attentive friendly and tried to make our stay the best it could be Overall I’d recommend this location to anybody looking to stay in the area! Thanks for everything!

Kay Owens

There isn’t a single bad thing i can say about my stay here Check in was very quick and easy I even called a day before check in to let the receptionist know that my check in would be late because I was driving in from work and they made sure i would be alright on my check in night

I regret not remembering the name of the young lady that checked me in on February the 9th but she very sweet and professional She told me to let her know of I needed anything and saw me on my way going out for dinner and asked if everything in my room was good for me The room was impeccably clean and the entire inside of the building including the room smelled of fresh cleaning products The outside was super neat and clean Not one piece of trash was on the property Everything looked new and modern and well thought out The bed was also super comfy with more than ebony fluffy pillows! I would definitely return here again if I even visit the Bluffton/ Hilton Head area again and would 100% recommend this property to anyone that visits the area! Also if you plan to stay here for the Marine basic training graduation, it is about a 25-30 minute commute and the traffic wasn’t bad at all going to it coming from Parris Island

With repetition I interacted with Jepheto and Sharon and many others Wow Just wow This is a Must experience full of luxury and southern charm I’m so grateful to have experienced the Montage at Palmetto Bluff Truly a blessing

Outstanding estate and great hotel Beautiful landscapes and very friendly staff Stayed their 6 days and enjoyed it very much

If you stay at the inn, book a room with a lagoon view From your balcony you can watch the alligators swim by Air condition in the rooms extremely silent Rooms are spacious, tastefully furnished and clean Only Octagon restaurant is disappointing but the beauty of the whole place and the quality of everything else overcompensates those little disturbances…

Word to the wise if you want a quiet evening to enjoy your book or if you like to get your kids to bed at a decent hour, do not stay on the south side There is a party venue nearby It sounded like there were some great parties over there, but it is not so great when you aren’t invited and you’re trying to go to sleep

The room and hotel were very nice Appears to be newly renovated The biggest reason I gave it a 3 instead of a five is the door to the bathroom does not have a lock and it is frosted glass

Every time someone gets up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom (which is often with kids) and turns on the light, it wakes the people in the bed up (the bathroom door is located between the two beds) It really needs to be a solid door with a lock (I have kids and would prefer a peaceful shower or bathroom break without them busting in) The hotel is also by a sewage plant We smelled it once when outside and faintly twice at night It wasn’t horrible If you are in your room a lot, it may be an issue But we were there only to sleep and shower after the beach

cordia popp

The hotel is in a convenient location and we’ve actually stayed at the hotel adjacent to it Front desk staff was extremely friendly and helpful The room with the sofa bed is huge with a walk in closet with plenty of room for our family of four and a friend

Large bathroom as well Beds are very comfortable The room was like brand new and extremely clean Really love this hotel and would stay here again I guess the only negative which really wasn’t a big deal is that there is a water treatment plant or something right behind it so outside it smells and I can smell it a little in the room, but it isn’t that bad It wouldn’t deter me from staying here again

This is one of two hotels I stayed at during my drive back home after graduating college I decided to stay at a hotel in Hilton Head Island because I wanted to check out and explore the area for a little bit This hotel is located off of the southern side of the Route 278 loop behind a Home2 Suites

Businesses and the beach are within a five minute drive Right off the bat, I could tell that this is a fairly new hotel, it was probably built sometime within the past five years Once I parked and got checked in, the first thing I noticed was the really cool and futuristic looking elevators The lobby is nice and spacious, and the interior corridors have a nice relaxing and modern look When I opened the door for my room for the first time, I was in awe for just how big it was It was HUGE! The closet was also an absolute colossus, possibly the biggest I’ve ever seen in a hotel room The flatscreen TV was across from the desk and between the beds and couch, and was adjustable which was greatly appreciated The beds were very nice and comfortable Cleanliness and maintenance were mostly on point, with the exception of a few food specs in the microwave, dirty air filters, and the ironing board which has definitely seen better daysWith the few relatively minor issues mentioned above, I was debating between giving this place four or five stars I only stayed for one night, so they didn’t really affect me that much However, if you’re staying longer, these issues could get annoying Because of that, I decided that a four star rating overall would be appropriate It really isn’t that far off from getting a perfect five star review in my book With the way that it is though, this hotel still has my recommendation approval for Hilton Head travelers it’s a beautiful, super modern, and possibly futuristic looking place with ginormous, spacious, and quiet rooms In terms of the aesthetics, I’d say this is one of, if not the nicest Marriott hotel I’ve stayed at to date

My husband and I and our two young children have stayed here for years It’s close enough to the beach to bike and parking if your bringing a load to the beach for the day The beach has showers And a snack bar on the resort side

It’s clean and quiet The property is well maintained inside and out Two bikes come with each unit and the entire island is bikeable The pool and spa are nice however the splash pad has been broken for 4 years

Ed Brown

RCI exchange Went to the Spinnaker unit that had two bedrooms The unit smelled musty

They updated the paint but some of the unit can use fixture updating One woman in the reservation area seemed to only do the absolute minimum When I asked an additional question, she pointed at the brochure and said it’s in thereGreat for biking An easy bike ride to the beach The beach is nice but only had one lifeguard, which didn’t seem enough The pool was ni e and great to have canopys around the pool, especially for the sun and heat of SCGood golfingI was disappointed I didn’t see the alligators 😎

Great vacation place Our townhouse was close to the pool and tennis court Outdoor grilling area, aputting green, shuffle board and corn hole game all accessible to the beautiful pool area

The townhouse is furnished nicely and has updated appliances Washer and dryer in our unit also Bright and airy rooms Small deck attached for afternoon happy hour or dinnerplenty of lightingWe went to the wine and cheese social Pretty lame I know Covid precautions are in affect, but was expecting more than cheezits in a bag and mixed nuts in a bag We have small children and can’t leave them alone and there was nothing for them to drinkThe experience was great Nice having the bikes to ride around the paths It felt relaxing and comfortable with our kids with us Highly recommended this place for a vacation retreat

I stayed here on April 11th 2022 So here’s the Pros and consCons:1- lounge chair in room was on a little bit of a small side

2 – could have used an ottoman or some type of footstool for the lounge chair3- no hot tubPros:1- front desk staff was very helpful and friendly during check-in and check out2 -Room was very spacious3 -DID NOT find and bugs or smells in the room4 – the king size bed was very comfortable5- plenty of parking I pull a small trailer on the back of my pickup truck had no problems finding a spotI would recommend this to anyone staying in the area

The hotel room floor was filthy, and most definitely had not been vacuumed A short list of things found in the floor include: clump of hair, finger/toe nail, and various other little bits of dirt and trash The desk in the room is chipped in multiple places, and one corner was broken and shoddily glued back on

There were 3 gnats (not flies) flying around the bathroom The walls and ceiling both have dirt and cracks in/on them And the bed sheet is stained with something that looked quite disgusting For $300, this is definitely a rip-off The hotel room was booked in haste due to needing a place to stop shortly When I went down to the front desk to report the issues, and I did request a discount due to the nature of the room and hassle of having to bring this to their attention, I was told that because I booked through a third-party service, no discount could be given I showed them pictures of the issues as well, and have plenty to provide When I told them I booked through the hotels website, I was told by the front desk employees that sometimes third parties piggy-back on the website itself, so even though I clicked the link to book through the hotel, I could be redirected to a third party service So I wasn’t even aware I was booking through a third party They also said the $300 was already a discounted rate… it’s a rip-off for the room qualityThe front desk employees were very kind and as helpful as they could be (hence 2 stars and not 1), but the options given were to allow someone into the room to vacuum and clean, and to give fresh sheets to replace them myself I took the sheets, but declined the vacuum I was already going through the trouble of dealing with a dirty room, and my wife and I were trying to wind down and get to bed as this was going onAll in all, great people who work the front desk, but terrible and shady website design to allow a third party service to piggy back on website links, preventing discounts or refunds for poor service or dirty roomsWill definitely not be staying here or at other Hampton hotels

We are staying here now The front desk staff is very friendly and nice However, our room smells of cigarette smoke, and I’m very sensitive to that

It’s supposed to be a nonsmoking hotel, but obviously people smoke in here (It actually smells of cigarettes and cigars) There is no towel rack to hang hand towels by the bathroom sink, so you have to throw them wet on the counter (which also doesn’t seem very sanitary) I’ve never stayed at any hotel where there is no towel bar for hand towels by the sink Overall, the room is dingy and definitely needs an update We have a king suite and the sofa bed is old and much too soft The mattress is squeaky and soft Unfortunately, we’re here for three nights This is probably the worst Hampton Inn I’ve ever stayed in Either that, or Hampton Inn’s quality has gone way downhill We won’t stay here again*Update: We stayed one of our three nights We checked out first thing in the morning and moved to an airbnb which is great The bed was so uncomfortable that my husband and I both had backaches this morning (and we’re in fairly good shape) Water pressure was poor Shower curtain was dirty Tub looked like it had just been rinsed with water (Luckily I’d brought beach shoes that I wore in the shower) Carpets were frayed, ceilings had damage Furniture and door knobs didn’t look well cleaned with finger prints, etc Front desk staff seemed friendly at first, but they really didn’t give a damn No follow through on our questions or requests This hotel needs a complete overall, and it is NOT inexpensive And especially in this time of Covid, rooms should be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected much better than this was

Goodness, where do I start? The staff is so friendly and so helpful, and beyond just the normal stuff They find little ways to serve their guests: a glasses cloth under my glasses case I didn’t ask for, mosquito stuff because my wife happened to mention in passing conversation that she doesn’t like mosquitos…The rooms were lovely Robes, bed, and slippers comfortable

Bathroom and balcony both niceThere’s a small pool, but staying at the inn gets free admission to a larger pool across the lot There’s a small fitness center, but staying at the inn gets free admission to the main fitness center down the road The biggest issue I hear from people is that the hotel itself is not on the beach, but their free shuttle service will take you there (and other places around Sea Pines) for free You can even text when you’re ready for a pickup Or, you could take advantage of the FREE BIKE RENTAL (this part is so under-advertised) and see as much of the island as you want from the bike trails on the way to and from the beachI’m only annoyed at how many good things I’m probably forgetting This hotel is excellent

Claire WithLove

The hotel offers so many amenities and transportation to get them, it makes for a lovely getaway There is no transportation from the airports, but after you get there, someone can drive you in the vehicle or golf cart to the Beach Club, shopping, or Light House (you can walk to that one) When you arrive at the Sea Pines gate and let the guard know you will be staying at the inn, you will need to go into the visitor center to pick up your vehicle parking pass

At the hotel, there is a swimming pool, hot tub, professional level golf course, tennis with tennis lessons, and a nice club house for breakfast, lunch, or dinner at Links It is about a 2 minute walk to the club house from the hotel or you could ask for a golf cart ride If you are a golf fan, you need to walk to the club house to see the list of winners, photos, and the golf shop There is a separate shop in the tennis center I discovered IBKUL tennis shirts which provide 2 way ventilation to keep you cool, have UPF 50 protection, and are super light I am buying more for travelingFor tennis fans, Wimbledon champion Stan Smith runs an academy there where you can take classes with him or the other professionalsIf you are driven to or drive to the Ocean Pine Beach Club, the Coast restaurant has a delicious menu Make reservations through the concierge/butler service/front desk or on Open Table The Ocean Lounge had outdoor tables and two fireplace tables We made reservations at Coast for outdoor dining and instead of being seated in the front area of Coast, we were taken upstairs to the Ocean Lounge fire table It was the best dinner with the sound of the ocean waves, full moon, and quiet It was a cold night, so only two tables came and went on the deckThe room had an old fashioned plantation style feel to the room with wood furniture, a high bed, desk with two chairs, a reading chair and footstool, live plant, and even a suit stand, which I had never seen before The Nespresso coffee and tea maker in the room was a wonderful surprise The first cup, it would lose most of the water, so you may need to do it twice to get a cup of coffee The bathroom was spacious with a separate shower and tub No bath salts were provided, so you may want to bring your own Moulton Brown bath productsWe visited in February which was in the 50 to 60 degree range, so we had the pool and hot tub to ourselves No towels were outside, but you could ask at the front deskThe staff was so warm and welcoming and nothing was too much to ask including helping us re-arrange our dinner reservations at Coast and another restaurant Joe who drove us to the Beach Club was warm, friendly, and made the drive there go so fast Stellar staff! We booked through the American Express Fine Hotel program

Karen Boyd

Service is a highlight of the experience Every employee was very helpful and warm The overall facilities are first class and gorgeous

Rooms are generous in size and nicely laid out but badly in need of an update We understand this will happen starting in January, 2022 Coffee machine in room never worked and we were told they had alot of problems with them They are going to be replaced too

I understand it’s a 2 start hotel However, we paid 140 total for a 2 star hotel thinking it had a pool and it would be worth it Absolutely not! The pool was empty and the lobby bldg was closed

Check in was in a hotel room Room was super basic and the tub had hair in it Check out was 10?! That’s a no for us as well I’m mad about how much money we spent when it should have been less than $100 for what we received!!

Neil Ralph

The room we stayed in was nice and clean Staff was very friendly and helpful They also had a deal when you stay 3 nights and don’t get cleaning you get 100 bucks back which made it even more budget friendly

They also had fresh peaches for breakfast in the morning which was a nice treat I would stay there againAnother perk was the mini fridge that had a freezer It was bigger than most hotel fridges and it was a real freezer not the small metal box in some mini fridges Also the microwave was a plus since we stayed a few days and had leftovers to reheat

Madison Jameson

This place was great It was the best option for me who was traveling solo because it was the cheapest out of all the other hotels in the area by ~$50 and is located a mere 5 minutes from the Savannah/Hilton Head airport The Indian woman who worked the desk was extremely friendly

The room was huge The King bed was extremely comfortable (as were the pillows) and all the bedsheets had that freshly laundered scentThe bathroom was giant and came with shampoo, conditioner, body soap, lotion, and mouthwash Multiple towels were provided and the room was very clean Parking was ample and the buildings were well lit I loved that a tub of Lysol wipes was provided in the bathroomThe room also came with a mini fridge, microwave, dresser, tv, small coffee machine, tissues, paper towel, and several toilet paper rollsFor the price and location, this place can’t be beat Whoever worked in the morning was non-existent so I couldn’t properly check out (I ended up leaving my keys on the desk in the office) so that’s the only reason why I knocked a star

Hotel in a perfect location, couple minute walk to the beach, dining, entertainment, celebration park A tasty, bountiful breakfast was offered each morning included with the price of your room Could rent a bike on property and ride right from your door to anywhere on the island! Staff was friendly ,kind, hard-working and very attentive! We had a couple minor problems in our room that were addressed immediately, with a smile! Hotel needs a bit of updating which they’re in the process of but totally fine, clean and comfortable! Best deal for the price, we’ll definitely stay here again!

William Madden

No working elevators, the breakfast buffet was completely empty… people were fighting over what little food was out, and clogged shower in roomThe lady who checked us in was great, super friendly The location is awesome and the scenery is very nice

Beds are comfortableAll in all it is not worth the price If they can make some major improvements I would come back

We were really pleasantly surprised by how awesome this resort experience was A few of the reviews had us nervous before coming but we had no issues at all and would highly recommend this resort The rooms were updated, clean and spacious

The staff were all phenomenal everywhere we went From the Seacrest to the Sweet Cane Inn and just everyone we encountered were really friendly Great live music by the pool area every day Easy access to the beach Don’t want to leave and can’t wait to come back!

Julie Hilsen

Not a 4 star resort but they don’t hesitate to charge 5 star prices The adult pool is nice to have but the main pool is very undersized for the load of the hotel and it closes way too early Everyone I spoke to had a musty smelling room

Why do they put wall to wall carpeting in ocean from hotels?? The hotel has a good vibe and most of the staff seems to care They just won’t change your room if it’s musty because well maybe that’s how all the rooms are Our bathroom had a strong odor The beds were comfy and towels nice and soft They get some things right but if you are looking to get pampered, you might want to keep looking

Rachel Atkins

Fantastic place to stay! This was our first trip to HHI and unfortunately we only had two nights to enjoy We are at the on-site restaurant the first night and it was good, although overpriced The rooms and property are well-maintained and clean

We enjoyed the adults only pool area and the easy access to the beach The boardwalk and lagoon area are nice to walk around We loved our stay and would absolutely return for a longer period of time!

We stay at a lot of IHGs and try to be honest but fair in our reviews The great things about this location was:Pets are allowed There is a lighted area designated for walking pets

Room was very quiet We requested high floor away from elevator and never heard any noise during our 4 day stay I could hear dog barking inside the rooms when I walked the hall, so the fact I didn’t hear them while in the room is impressive and let me know the rooms are well insulated The rooms are basic but have room to moveThe rooms were clean and I consistently saw staff mopping the lobby and public areasThe staff were friendly A special thank you to Amanda who consistently made us feel welcomeLocation is walkable to restaurants and stores It is a short drive to historic Blufton for more unique dining and shoppingBreakfast had a great variety of options and was clean and well stockedWe did not use the fitness center or pool but both appeared cleanThe only negatives (to be fair) was the elevator doors appeared to be heavily vandalized with a sharp object I hate that anyone would do this, but hopefully it’s cleaned up soon as it can make guests question who is staying there that would do this

Bonnie Hart

Checked in and air conditioner not working Maintenance came up three times room temp did not change Went down to front desk to ask to be moved

Front desk said no available rooms I packed up and decided to spend the night in the nice cool lobby After an hour miraculously a room with a king bed became available There were three adults Desk personnel extremely rude to me and several other guests who were having room issues Worst hotel experience I have ever had To top it off I was overcharged!

We checked into the Holiday Inn Express at Bluffton, SC Monday, April 4 with a group of 42 booked through Diamond Tours The following morning, one of our fellow travelers had a heart attack and died The staff was immediate, efficient and helpful in the midst of this heartbreaking event! Johnnie Mae was one of the first persons on scene and provided timely necessary assistance

Will, Front Desk, aided in numerous ways with calm assurances and effective solutions to problems as they arose Andrew, Night Desk, helped resolve our desperate attempts to get transportation to the airport in Savannah after the scheduled driver did not show up at 2:45 am! God’s blessings carried out by this incredible staff made all of us on this long-planned trip grateful and thankfulBesides the wonderful staff, we recommend this Holiday Inn Express because of their clean rooms, well-appointed breakfast area and delicious food!
