Fantastic find along the road! Great customer service- just really nice people- down to the breakfast attendant She took pride in her work Everything was clean and tidy

There were colorful straws for kids, the silverware was strong enough to cut a waffle, there were all the normal options plus almond milk, microwaveable Jimmy Dean sandwiches to take back to the room, every condiment you could want Instead of making me feel like she was defending hotel profits from the hungry masses, she offered a tray for me to carry things back to the room so my family did not have to risk exposure Kindness and thoughtfulness goes a long way!The room was clean, bed comfortable, pillows were king sized and did not go flat Wow! A standout location

Charles V

I stayed at this location with a friend of mine on our way to Wisconsin We were greated in a very friendly way at a late hour The room was clean, beds were extremely comfy, and everything was working as it should (AC, fridge, tv, shower)

The breakfast was included the next morning and was actually really great as wellDo yourself a favor and make the little detour to Bowling Green instead of staying in Toledo It’s well worth the extra couple dollars Recommended!

Most of the staff was excellent and very nice But the manager was absolutely atrocious and does not know how to treat customers The manager acts as though she is more important than others including customers

Due to this I cannot recommend this hotel As a Marriott elite member this does not meet the expectation of what it should be

Dawn B

I booked a king size room online and was checked into a queen room When I pulled the covers back there was something on the bed near the pillows I went down to the desk to speak with a manager

He came upstairs to look at the item, and moved us to another room This room was far from satisfactory There was something sticky on the desk between the two beds Yes, ironically we were moved to another 2 queen bed room! All I wanted was a king bed with a clean room The appearance of everything in the lobby looked good

Gobot’s On the trail. (Gobot’s on the trail.)

Front desk staff was nice friendly idk what’s going on at this hotel our room had half of one style of wallpaper on the wall and half another style on the other side of the wall interesting! Newer looking carpet pillows are horrible our bathroom light was out the door too our room was very hard to open and watch out as it’s a heavy door it slams shut hard fast!! The hallway was so hot đŸ¥µđŸ”¥ the breakfast here was the worst not kept up or stocked went down at 9am hardly nothing left very disappointed!

A real hidden gem

best place I have camped at in years Owner and employees super helpful super friendly Don’t be surprised if they just stop by to see if everything is okay or if you need any help with anything They are so fantastic, they make this place 5 stars to usCampground has wifi, no cableHas a fishing and swim lake, no poolHas showers that are bigger than mostBingo every Friday and Saturday, activities every weekendEvery camper waves as they go past, most stop and chatNot a party party campground, they did throw some campers out while we were there for destroying property

M V

I’m happy if a campground has clean, hot showers, a clean bathroom and laundry, and reliable wi-fi This small, quirky campground had all four, so I was happy We’ve stayed at quite a few campgrounds on our trip to the Great Lakes, and this was the first campground that had all four

This is a small, very quiet campground with extremely friendly campers On the night we arrived, the person who worked in the office was ill in the hospital, so we arrived with reservations, but no map, and no one in the office The seasonal campers came out, welcomed us, showed us to our site, and explained how best to pull in There are many seasonal campers – a few of the sites looked rundown, but most were well maintained It was shaded, wooded and relaxing We stayed two nights On our first day, we met two camp employees, who were taking turns running the office They were both extremely helpful and accommodating No pool A pond – half of which is for swimming and half for fishing Extremely well priced – $36/night Can’t beat it! We’d be happy to return!

JANIS HALL

We loved Linda! She was very sweet and helpful I was very disappointed that the daytime lady was only helpful after she realized I was hurt No interest in room service or simply giving us fresh linens until then

Only was able to use the jacuzzi the first night because I was physically incapable of cleaning it out myself or able to purchase any cleaning supplies? They were to busy to do those things The room was quite comfortable but we found another hotel nearby where I didn’t feel like a burden to ask for the room service or tidying Probably a great place for a 1 or 2 night stay I don’t recommend for traveling workers though

Jennifer Lee

The guy that checked us in was nice but gave us no information about breakfast, check in/out times or directions to the room Yes, we’re adults and can figure it out but it was just an odd start The jacuzzi in the room was the reason we chose that particular hotel and it was the only nice part of the stay

It even had a sprayer to rinse off and rinse out the tub when done The design of the room was unique and small but adequate However the toilet sounded like it was running continuously They said they would have someone look into it but we never heard anything Sometime early afternoon the smell of some kind of air freshener became so overwhelming we decided to go purchase a fan for the smell and the noise of the toilet When the key card to get in the hotel didn’t work we asked about it and their excuse was that it was necessary to keep the fire alarm from going off because of all the people that used to smoke in the hotel The smell of mold/mildew was obvious in the stairwell and probably due to a fire alarm system going off which would explain the paper they made us sign at check in that we won’t smoke or even use a candle or vape in the room Check out time was 11:00 and at 10:20 housekeeping knocked on the door to check and see who was still there since checkout was at 11 This is not a place I would recommend, especially if you have a sensitivity to strong odors and lack of quality customer service

Calem Bendell

Great location but the bathroom had not been cleaned properly The tub was clogged, so by the end of our showers it was full of water The bottom of the toilet seat had a significant amount of debris on it that seemed to have not been cleaned for weeks

We told the front desk in the morning, but they didn’t seem to care so we didn’t press the issue As I was checking out, another customer also told them about a dead light in his room that had been broken when he had arrived Most reviews for this place are great Maybe there has been a change in staff?

Obviously this isn’t a five star hotel, but it has five stars in my heart for its overall vibe, which I would describe as a time warp of semi-charming roadside Americana Everytime I stay here, I feel like I’m living in an episode of Courage the Cowardly Dog, like we’re out here in the wastelands of the Midwest snuggled cozily in the energetic void that can only come from laying where others have lain Now that in writing this, I’ve identified the Best Motel (whose name I initially regarded with suspicion) as one of my personal places of power, the way some people have a spot at the river or go to a temple or church

The spirit of place is profound here if you are sensitiveThe flaws of the Best Motel aren’t worth mentioning and in fact add an askew allure to the place, enhancing its factor of what the Japanese call wabi-sabi: an artistic concept where imperfections are intentionally created to bring forth dimension and character As a professional admirer of wabi sabi in all forms, I find the combination of the intense spirit of place, proximity from campus making me feel like a hideaway, the strangely nostalgic aesthetics, and the very lovely woman running it, make this indeed the very best motel in the galaxy

What a lovely place to rest after a long day of traveling! I didn’t have a reservation, but they were able to accommodate me at 8:00 on a rainy night in a very comfortable room with two queen beds The hotel staff were kind and courteous, they found us a crib and brought it to the room, in the morning they helped me with getting my children breakfast They had everything we needed in the room – microwave, refrigerator, coffee pot, iron and ironing board, hair dryer – everything we needed! The breakfast was amazing – eggs, bacon, sausage, cereals, pastries, oatmeal, fruit, yogurt – wow!I didn’t use the gym or pool, but they looked nice And the most amazing thing was the price! $99! I couldn’t believe it! Will definitely stay here again next time I’m passing through Toledo! Thank you so much for the night of rest for a weary mama!

Debbie Lyons

We stayed there for four nights and every day I asked for my room to be cleaned and they only cleaned it onceThe first time they cleaned it, they took the soap from the bathroom sink and didn’t replace it I went down to the desk to ask for more and was told they ran out

Seriously? If that was the case, they should have never taken the soap I had to go out and buy some Our shampoo was empty inside the shower from the first night Every day I asked for it to be filled 3 days later when I asked, she gave me a whole bottle of it By then, I had to purchase some at a storeThey ran out of plastic forks on Sunday for the continental breakfast and they still had not any by MondayEvery day I had to ask for fresh towels and they never came and took the used onesThe only plus to this stay, was Janette who worked the breakfast buffet She was extremely pleasant and always had a smile on her face She made you feel very welcomed

Stephen Evelyn

I and my family have been traveling for the last week and have stayed in 3 other hotels including a Crown Plaza, and Aaron’s greeting /welcome was by far the best He was friendly, informative and helpful Other hotel front desk staff could learn how to be hospitable from him

I hope his management recognizes what an asset they have in him for the hospitality industry

The good:Friendly and helpful staff for the numerous problems we hadHas a decent pool and convenient location Beds were comfortable

The Bad:Overall the condition of the rooms isn’t great this place is due for a renovation Cracked tile, missing grout, trim coming loose, mold, bad smells from the A/C indicating it hasn’t been serviced or cleaned in way too long Room keys stopped working daily requiring multiple trips to the front desk during our stayThere are nicer & newer hotels in the area for the same or lower price per night Unlikely we will stay here again

Terry Kelley

I am a truck driver This place came up in the IHG app Was met in the lobby by Aaron who fantastic with the guests that were ahead of me

When he was checking me in, he made you feel like you were someone He also told me where there was enough room for me to park my semi truck The rooms are well set up It had a full size fridge, microwave, sink, and counter top stove I would recommend this hotel for anyone traveling on the Ohio turnpike or I 75 I will be staying here again when I am out this way

Nettie Bruen

Melody Hostetler

My husband and I had the most relaxing weekend here that we’ve had in a long time Very friendly staff who bring you whatever you need 24/7, clean room and pool, decor could use a bit of a modern refresh but overall we loved our stay and can’t wait to go back sometime! A TV in the pool area would be an awesome addition, we spent a lot of time in the pool but would have even more if there would be a TV in there! The attached garage was awesome as well, especially since it was snowy and cold Thanks for a great stay, we will definitely be back!

Julie Jackson

What a fun and unique place to stay The staff is amazing, they make you feel as though your enjoyment is their only goal! The rooms are fantastic, romance galore! You park in your own connected garage and walk in to your room and you don’t have to leave until check out time You are treated to delivered coffee and muffins in the morning, in your room

I recommend trying this out for a very memorable experience!

An absolute must stayWe did a two week vacation from Toronto traveling down as far as Memphis Tennessee stopping in at several hotels along the way and this was our last hotel and probably my favorite It was in a great location in this small town

there were lots of things to do within walking distance and there were also many great restaurants My favorite recommendation from the hotel staff was Blue Pacific Follow me for a review on that one as well later this weekThese sweets were absolutely huge and completely well stocked with all the amenities that you would need at home including a dishwasher a full size fridge a kitchen a living room and a bathroom that was bigger than my current bedroom at home đŸ˜‚The front staff here is amazing and they are very attentive, especially Carmin

Jennifer McAfee

We chose to stay here because it had a 95 overall rating which included a very high cleanliness rating The design of the hotel was great but our room had old linens, a hair ball in the shower, a dirty bathroom, but the worst was someone used the couch for a rendezvous and left some of it on the couch

It was disgusting We contacted the hotel & there were no managers on duty on a Saturday night and they couldn’t move us because they were sold out We ended up paying $100 more & moving to a completely different hotel 15 min up the road Cameron who was working was great Contacted corporate Hilton and they did nothing So disappointed in Hilton probably not staying in the chain anymore

MJ W

I am usually in full support of Hilton, home2 suites being my favorite hotel to stay with my family in But this location has me reevaluating my favorite family friendly hotel The cleanliness of the first room we checked into was abhorrent

There was red stringy hair all over the shower I will say when brought to the front desk he kindly switched our room Now the second room was tolerable but my god there cleaning staff needs to be fired Around the toilet needed a real scrubbing, but we were far to tired to change rooms again Now all that could be forgiven but I will never stay at a location that has roaches!!! I found a huge roach near the elevator and I damn near passed out This location is stamped in my forever never again vacation playbook You have been warned
