The room is clean and the service is more than expected The room is ample and everything is very clean and comfortable Our view is beautifulAlso the restaurant downstairs is really tasty and not too pricey The service there is lovelyThere is a Starbucks here which does make things convenient, and parking is easy with more than enough room for customers and any visiting guests

Odin Valh’alla

Loved it We came to Navy graduation, and this hotel is just close enough, without being stuck in the city Awesome staff, quick check in, great rooms with very good matresses

Everything super clean! We did come during some type of competition for cheerleading, so hotel was super busy at the lobby, but the staff still made time and helped us Super awesome crew!

marina bograd

The staff was great and space was plentifulAnd that’s itCleanliness was an issue The hotel appears worn out and neglected

Wall paper is peeling off the walls Glass doors and window appear like they haven’t been washed on weeks and floors were sticky (including the rug in the room)The space has potential to become an amazing venue Hope someone notices

Such a gem! from the old world structure to the beautiful interior

The English Room experience was terrific and the food superb! We sat near the garden and loved looking at the courtyardWe peeked in at the White Hart Pub which will be our next more casual venturereminiscent of an old Irish pub, very dark and cozyWill definitely be back for the brunch experience that so many have raved about

Mathew Jenkins

I live close to the Deer Path Inn so I have no need to use their Hotel, though it is regarded as the nicest place in town which is no secret amongst locals However, their food, drinks, and service are on a completely different level I have eaten there a dozen or so times (in person and take out) and have yet to have anything less than a stellar meal/service

Their basement bar is my favorite place in town since the original Lovell’s closed (which had a similar basement-bar vibe) though the White Hart Pub is nice as well The Hot-A$$ Chicken Sliders and the Burger never disappoint! Also, the ENTIRE staff makes everyone feel important You’ll be greeted with a smile by everyone you interact with The building and grounds are beautiful, clean, and inspiring The only problem can be getting a table but that’s to be expected when you deliver like the DPI does!

Julius Foust

This hidden gem is amazing The ambiance, the service, the great food and drinks, it has easily become one of my new favorites Artemio, a veteran employee, is amazing person, he explained the history of the Deerpath, the menu, the food options and much more, his service was splendid and highly professional

I recommend this place to anyone, regardless if you eat in the English Room or the White Hart Pub, you cannot go wrong Thank you guys, I have a reservation for tomorrow and I am so looking forward to it

Randal Anthony

Very nice hotel for a couples stay during an extended Valentine’s weekend Looks like 1970s business architecture, but the inside is quite nicely decorated, and rooms were very nicely appointed It was not very busy, and the prices were excellent and worth the upgrade to the Executive floor with whirlpool baths

Staff was friendly The interior floorplan layout seemed a bit odd and which door is really the main entrance is confusing given this is also a conference center The entrance needs better signage and marking

Greg Seidel

I have stayed at this hotel twice now

once last year and the other time was this past weekend I had such a good stay here last year that I couldn’t wait to come back Well, things changed Last year I would’ve given the hotel 5 stars This year, 2 starsThe Good:- The hotel is located in a forested area with neaby trails that you can walk- The lower level has a pool, hot tub, sauna, and fitness center- Breakfast buffet had an alright price with good offerings- Most guest rooms have a spacious sink area outside the bathroomThe Bad:- The cleanliness of the building took a major nosedive compared to last year When I checked-in on Friday, there was garbage everywhere Empty cups in waiting areas, litter on the floor, and there was a silver breakfast tray (from the previous visitor) that sat outside my room (601) for the entire weekend You cannot tell me that no one from housekeeping noticed that tray sitting there for 48 hours- Pool area might need a refurbishment soon There was rust on the floor and mold on the walls and ceiling (I know it’s a pool area and it’s going to eventually happen)- There was a police investigation going on down the hall from where I was staying- Noise can be so-soOverall, would I stay here again? Maybe to a probably not

Jeff Axelrod

Absolutely disgusting pool with black mold on ceiling tiles and walls Every time we were at the pool there were no towels Staff didn’t have enough towels to bring to the pool to accommodate the guests after we called them for help

Pool chemicals must be pretty harsh; my skin was peeling for several days after the visit Temperature controls in room didn’t work, keeping the room about 5 degrees warmer than set all night Beds were extremely comfortable and room was clean Phone system didn’t work half the time Staff did the best they could under the circumstances and were extremely nice Shower pressure was abysmal but jetted tub was nice

This is one of the worst hotel experiences that I have ever had The staff was pretty friendly upon check-in, but it went downhill from there We needed a place to sleep for my son’s wedding

Nothing extravagant because we were so busy Every time we returned to our room it smelled like smoke, very distinct smell that resembled drug use The response from the front desk was, “That’s weird” On the second night, our car was broken into Nothing was stolen, but that was the final straw We decided not to stay the last night of our reservation Since we prepaid, they refused to refund the final night’s stay I would not recommend at all There are much better places to stay that are very helpful, friendly, and sympathetic

Priyal Mangla

10/10 *claps*The lady at the front desk, provided the best customer serviceWe were a family of 4, and we reached the hotel well before the checkin timings as out flight landed at 7The lady guided us to lodge the luggage and wait for sometime

And to our surprise, as soon as the room was ready, she checked us in! We also received a room upgradeThis woman was an angel in disguise I can’t recall her name, but I remember she wore specs had black hair and was youngTheir breakfast menu included everything essential Omelettes, waffles, and breads were super good and deliciousThe place is at a very optimum location- bus service is nearby There is a supermarket and Dunkin at walking distance too

Standout staff Accommodating and truly kind Rooms were fine, although both rooms I stayed in had issues with shower temp and water pressure, and multiple common areas like the bar and restaurant were under renovation

They did their best Overall this is an outstanding property under renovation to keep up the standard of service you expect from their brand A great place to stay The attached Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse is a game changer

minghao liu

I’ve been to at least 10 Renaissance hotels around the world, and this is easily the worst Renaissance hotel I’ve lived at The service was terrible There was no hairdryer when we checked in, and when I tried to call the front desk, nobody answered, so I had to come to the reception

Also, they weren’t able to provide any slippersThe buildings are quite old, and due to renovation, only half the amenities are open Sound insulation is terrible We were hearing constant door slamming and children screaming, despite us staying in a CORNER ROOM! We got woken up before 7AM on both days we stayed there The shower has very low water pressure, and it takes half an hour to do a “quick” shower There’s also no access control for the elevators, which means non hotel guests can get to any floor they want Fortunately, this neighborhood is relatively safe, so this won’t pose too much of a security riskThe only upside is the price We booked two nights for $135/night, after taxes and fees, which is a good deal for the Chicago area around the memorial weekend However, with the problems mentioned above, this hotel isn’t worth the price

Laura Thompson

CATALYTIC CONVERTER THEFT: We stayed here for a wedding and the room was very nice and clean However, our car, parked in the hotel lot had its catalytic converter stolen overnight Unfortunately, there are no cameras on the parking lots so the police couldn’t do anything

The GM returned my voicemail and did comp our room which was very appreciated (but not much to offset the cost of a new catalytic converter) The theft of catalytic converters is not unique to this hotel, but its proximity to 94 definitely makes it a target I personally feel like putting in cameras is an important step the hotel should take A Marriott should provide some level of security I’m a student and this financial loss is not easily absorbed Just be aware!

Service was fine, and the cleanliness and sleep quality was fine as well, but this place gives off the vibes of an old hotel that has been given a fresh coat of paint, and some issues have seeped through the cracks Don’t pick this hotel if you’re looking for a classic family vacation destination, as there is no pool and no complimentary breakfast (But you can pay for breakfast items at the onsite cafe or use the fitness center that seems to have replaced what was a pool area

) Some small complaints are the lack of microwaves in the rooms and the mowing starting at 8:30am Monday morning The most inconvenient part of our stay was the poor quality of the mini fridge Not only was it impressively small, but it barely generated its own cold We had to put a bag of ice in there with our food to make sure it wouldn’t go bad, which was inconvenient due to the aforementioned lack of space

William Scruggs

Fam stayed here for couple nights Remodeled in September On going into room picked up hand towel to dry face and saw somebody had used it as buttwipe/TP

Immediately brought it up to front desk where they continually apologizedAfter kid saw towel and pulled a face they told us they would add points to account Still haven’t seen points or heard back since checkout

Jody Britton

First time staying in this location The hotel is beautiful, it’s clean and it’s quiet, but by far the friendliest front desk staff I have experienced to date Main reason for the review and will definitely be back

Chantil has been here every night, has greeted us, made conversation with us, remembers us and is just an all around pleasant person

The room was was squeaky clean, our dogs sniffed but didn’t find anything new ( Yes, that’s happened before but not here) Staff was friendly, courteous and professional, all the common areas were kept up very well, each chair or station in the pool/fitness area had a towel waiting for whoever went to use that item next Great breakfast if that’s something that is important to you! Hot items, fruit, yogurts, toasters for your use, surpassed my expectations for a hotel breakfast

Nothing short of a good stay and would recommend

My kids loved the pool and the kitchenette was the perfect size for making a snack or light mealHair dryers kept me from running outside in the freezing air with wet hair!!! Really nice Hotel, the rooms very clean and comfortable Nice patio on the side and with a bar included inside the lobby Break fast is a plus delicious mini Quiche

The only reason I don’t give a 5 star is that the break fast is the same for all days Some variety will be the cherry on top of the cake Definitely will come back and will recommend this hotel Price was reasonable

Ryan Eborn

This hotel is terrible Several weeks ago I booked and prepaid a room with a king bed, which had a higher rate than a double queen room I’m very tall and a queen bed does not work for me

On arrival, I find that my reservation was meaningless and they’ve placed me in a double queen room due to their overbooking I explained to the front desk agent that this wasn’t my fault and showed her my reservation She got the night manager who was incredibly rude and told me that I should cancel my reservation and go somewhere else For a manager she has terrible customer service – she should probably go work somewhere else She refused to do anything about the hotel’s error in giving my room away nor did she try to make any adjustment to the higher rate that I’d initially paid to guarantee a king bed To top it off, she flippantly told me that this Marriott is not a corporate owned hotel – as if that somehow justifies the poor experience?

Joyfully His

Very poor professionalism and managing of this property Prior to checking in, we had asked for the mobile key They said I couldn’t get it because I had to give a card on file, even though I already had one on file

They argued with me and said they couldn’t offer contactless check-in, but they advertise it and I’ve used in innumerable times before Turns out they CAN and they DID! So we were able to use our mobile key without stopping at the front desk Why say you can’t when you can?? Upon opening the door to our room, it was not serviced There was garbage on the floor, the beds were slept in, etc I was appalled as we’ve been using Marriotts for decades and never encountered a problem like this They apologized and gave us a new room on a new floorLater into our stay, I requested our room be serviced while we were gone since we were staying three nights, and they assured us it would be Got back that evening: no clean towels, no emptied garbage cans, or made beds Their pool was closed, but they had us use a neighboring workout facility’s indoor pool Appreciated, yes Convenient with kids, no Every single time we tried to charge to the room, we were met with indignation from a different employee insisting that it couldn’t be done, and yet in the end EVERY TIME, it was successful, AND we were overcharged on items! I wouldn’t recommend this location There are plenty of other options nearby

Rooms are spacious and clean No smell (I am extremely sensitive) No pool which is unfortunateThe hotel personal is very responsive and thoughtful Thank you for a comfortable staying

Lily Smith

The breakfast buffet was outstanding, but the service is even better! The staff is so friendly! They also have a Starbucks The gym was great We experienced difficulty while purchasing a movie, so we called the front desk

They had someone with OnDemand call our room in a matter of minutes, who walked us through how to fix it It was so helpful! Loved everything about our one night stay!

If I could give Four Points by Sheraton, Buffalo Grove, less than zero stars I would! It doesn’t even deserve half of a star!We were a big group We were there for a family event We reserved 14 roomsWe arrived at night and the lady at the front desk was annoyed, as she clearly stated herself, that she had to check in a big group

She was rude and refused to help us with anything nor answer any our questions as we inquired about the rooms 5 of the rooms were infested with bugs such as ants and spiders The bugs were on the bed, walls, and carpet, even under the bed sheets When we told the lady at the front desk, she said there’s nothing she could do about it and gave us the option to leave the hotel which we did We went to another hotel but returned the next day to join our group and we asked to speak to a manager who was very nice He offered us a free breakfast but by the time we got to breakfast, they told us it was done I would never recommend this hotel to anyone If you end up staying at this hotel for any reason, check the room thoroughly, as it may look clean but… You might find a few surprises!

NG

Location/price: Close to everything you could need and for a reasonable price I really wish breakfast was included cuz it’s dang goodRoom: channel list would be helpful as there is not a guide, at least not on mine Bad water pressure in shower and they don’t provide body wash anymore so bring your own

The curtain had to be straightened by me as it wasn’t on the trackService: They talked on the phone with a co-worker for almost 10 minutes instead of just helping quickly They didn’t set up the key cards correctly so I had to go all the way back down with all my luggage

Dimitri Fostinis

Okay I check in and the upgrade me to a “delux too “ upon arrival I walk in, boom dead cockroach on the bathroom floor On top of that, the toilet paper was almost finished

Did they even clean the “delux room”?? Probable not The pool area also had roaches and other unidentifiable bugs Our normal room we got moved to was okay, but the ONLY DAY they do house keeping after we requested it, they did a terrible job Garbage on the bathroom floor was just pushed to another side not even cleaned This hotel is gross and a sad excuse for a Marriott Very disappointed

Looked very promising when I walked in Room seemed clean at first glance but once you look closer you see it could use a lot of work Bed was comfortable

Tiles in bathroom were cracked I took a shower and stood in almost knee high water by the end of it and found some trash in a cabinet that looked like it had been there for years Wont be staying here again

Timothy Harding

Front desk employee was sitting in the back room while I waited over 10 minutes at the front desk to check in They should get a bell if that is how they operate Bathroom was not very clean and room had only hand towels

No actual bath towels could be found and of course I noticed this at 5:30am Ordered pizza from my favorite place with plans on taking it home to my family Put it in the refrigerator only to notice when I was leaving that they have them turned off So all my food was ruined I will definitely be finding a new place to stay while coming to the area

Stacy Redmond

I recently booked a double suite for my grandson’s birthday and the accommodations were horrible I’ve stayed here many times and never had an issue they didn’t handle but , this time was different The entire kitchen in the room had issues

The garbage disposal went out and backed up the sink, dishwasher was receiving dirty water from backed up sink/disposal, one burner on stove didn’t work, and surface light on microwave didn’t work Called for maintenance and was told 15 minutes well, a hour and a half later I called again to reach Anastacia at the front desk who was NO HELP I was told there was no maintenance or house keeping available but, she could move us to two rooms Again, it was a birthday party and I had 5 small children and had decorated the room and was cooking dinner on the one burner we had So, I explained why moving wasn’t an option and asked about the bill Anastacia’s response was “I’m not touching your bill but I can offer the two rooms At no time outside of the two rooms did she offer any other solution At which time I tried contacting the General Manager So we’ll see what happens because this was poor treatment of a customer

We had the honor of planning our wedding and reception at Lincolnshire Marriott Resort What a beautiful venue and location, and the amenities offered are just so wonderful too! Our wedding had been affected by COVID, as I am sure many are/had been Kassandra, the general manager, and Christine, our wedding specialist, were so accommodating and generous with their time and resources

There are so many wonderful things I would like to share about them and how amazing they have been in this process! This has been such a whirlwind trying to figure everything out, and they have been nothing but helpful and accommodating to ensure our happiness for our special day Not only did they each reach out to us individually to see if we needed anything, but collectively as the Lincolnshire Marriott Resort Team I highly recommend this venue not only for the beautiful location and property, but also for the experience of working with such amazing staff members! From the time we walked into the front door until we left the parking lot, each member was so kind and helpful! What an amazing staff and venue for a wedding or event! Special shout out goes to Christine, she is literally one of the best human beings out there She was so gracious, kind and honest which is exactly what we neededLincolnshire Marriott, thank you for helping us out when this crazy season and circumstances has hit us all!

The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful I had a room option that gave me an upgraded room since I had my wife, our son, two dogs, and myself We were up for the renaissance fair that was going on in Wisconsin

I was offered a room on the first floor with a patio which helped significantly with the dogs I really appreciate the offer, but was not informed that it was going to be smaller than the bigger room i was upgraded to As an individual who travels and stays with Marriott almost every week, i was a little disappointed in the M Club You are told that when you arrive that it will not be operating to full capacity as it would be during the week Also when we informed the front desk about there not being water, they said they would not be restocking it because it was not operating at full capacity Even the other refreshments such in the refrigerators were not stocked and maintained I have stayed at other Marriott’s with M clubs stock constantly and way better than this one was

I booked a stay in advance with a group rate for a large event that was taking place on site As I was preparing for the event I checked for my confirmation and found that I no longer had it in my email, my fault for not printing it out I contacted the resort to confirm and found they did not have a reservation in my name

I talked with multiple people both at the resort and with Marriott All were happy to book a room for $499 per night vs the original rate of $159 and would not budge on honoring the original rate It was also suggested by multiple people that if the group were to add an additional block of rooms for the event they could then honor the $159 rate While talking with the sales department at the resort about the group, the reservation and honoring the rate I was told the the resort was sold out for my dates and they would be unable to help me any further So in a matter of 30 minutes they went from having enough rooms to add to the group block to being completely sold out I also find it odd that after getting off the phone there were still many rooms available on any number of web sites

Stayed here a few days while visiting the area on business First, let me commend the front desk staff Everyone I spoke to on the phone was so helpful

Then when I arrived, they were very attentive Second, my room was ready, very clean and comfortable Third, the rate was reasonable Fourth, great location in relation to O’Hare airport Hope to stay here the next time I’m in the area

This was one of the worst experience ever I can’t believe how they lied this is not a 4 nothing hotel It’s ants all over the rooms they are not cleaning the rooms like they are supposed to

No microwave in the room The bathroom was still dirty Someone used it didn’t flush the toilet My key didn’t work to my room we tried 3 times before she gave me another key When I told her about the ants she said well it’s ants everywhere I’m sure the purpose of saying that

I would have given 5 stars for room, but I must be honest about some finishes in the bathroom A little tired, but overall, such a pleasant stay and worth the extra to stay The evening reception was laid back and had a terrific bartender

The other bartender in the restaurant was also fantastic, giving us a tip in a local Chicago style pizza place The breakfast was superb, and the made to order omelettes along with the service everywhere were unmatched! Great job in staffing and keeping up with the needs of your customers

I was pretty excited to see a quiet place It has amazing indoor view I enjoyed breakfast: it has various options

Staff was friendly Erving time snack was a good option Little issue with room and restroom plumbing but overall I have a great leisure trip with my family It was quite and adequate during night time Elevator has secure operating option I recommend it for family and friends

Nice hotel and good location Quiet area, and friendly staff Family friendly hotel, free breakfast omelet made to order, free drinks during happy hour! Pool is okay, but can be busy, which makes it difficult to swim or play, wish it was bigger for such a large hotel! Walls are thin in the suites, living area, no door sweeper, and you can hear basically anyone walking by the hall

Overall good experience and for the deal we received it was great Spacious living space and bedroom (2 queen beds, two TV, a couch and desk/chair and single swivel sofa chair, wet bar sink and microwave/fridge/coffee keurig, plenty of drawers for clothes)

The pandemic cutbacks have really made this place inferior to what the Marriott standard used to be We certainly can get by without daily maid service, however there was one tiny bar of soap for two nights for two people We had to move it back-and-forth between the shower and the bathroom

There’s in room coffee to make in the morning, but only enough for one out of two morningsBoth TVs were unplugged, and it took us a few minutes to figure out that we had to plug them in to get them to workThere was a clock radio, but the buttons to reset the time to the correct time only worked for minutes, but not for the hours I guess everyone travels with a cell phone, so the clock in the hotel is now superfluousThe computers were down when we checked in, and they had to take a photo copy of my drivers license and credit card Of course, they said they would shred it once it was entered, but in this day and age, businesses are not supposed to leave that information visible to employees at any timeWe called the front desk to ask for an hour delay at checkout time, but we still had someone knocking at our door half an hour before the promised checkout time to clean the roomThere is a morning coffee bar downstairs, but on a Sunday morning when it was busy, I had to ask for the cream containers to be refilled There were no stirring sticks, but I snuck a spoon from the buffet next-doorWe did have a lovely well presented buffet breakfast for a large groupThe room was clean, and almost everything else was in working order, although the shower drained extraordinarily slowly The room was clean, and everything seemed relatively new and freshHopefully as pandemic fueled staffing shortages improve, they will be able to undo some of the cuts that they’ve been forced to make

My wife and I had a night away and stayed here, close to our homeNice and clean hotel and roomSince my in-laws booked us the room as a surprise, they booked it through hotels

com instead of Bonvoy direct They were nice enough to honor my Gold Elite status and the amenities that are associated Very nice of themNice hotel, nice staff, and an a around solid property I will definitely stay here again for a local hotel

I will give you the good, and the not so good I hesitate to call it bad, because it really wasn’t terrible, but worth notingFirst, the good

Hotel staff were AMAZING! They were so friendly and helpful From the front desk staff to the breakfast staff to the bar staff – they could not be nicer With every interaction I felt like familyThe room was very spacious and very clean Every room is a suite, so there is a separate bedroom that can be closed from the remainder of the roomThe price was amazing, I wold have expected to pay much moreNow for the not so good I was there in early July, and it was hot outside However, the A/C in the hotel was on overdrive It was so cold in the hotel lobby, bar, and eating area you almost needed a coat or sweatshirt In fact I did see several older folks bundled up because it was so darn coldSame with my room When I first opened the door, I was surprised at how cold it was I had to turn off the A/C to get the room up to a manageable temperatureAnd while the room was super clean, you could tell it is in need of updating The bathroom was great, but not very bright And the sink drained very slowly Also, the hot water faucet would leak when the cold water was turned on, making a sizeable puddle on the counter All of these are easily fixed if they were to spend some time making regular updatesI am still providing 4 stars because the good far outweighs the not-so-good Will definitely stay there again, as it is close to highways and friends and family when I travel to Chicago
