We chose this hotel because they were one of the only ones that has an outdoor swimming pool We were disappointed to find it is shaded by the hotel building and never got sun and it’s the size of a large hot tub so that was a bummer This hotel is disgusting, dirty and tired

It needs a major overhaul Location is great and staff were pretty nice Parking is overpriced and you have to walk really far with bags as the garage is part of the convention center Our room was extremely dated and gross The floor had a giant red stain in the middle of it The carpet was so dirty (see photos) There was garbage left behind Bobby pins on floor so who knows what else was lurking as far as germs The lounge chair was so dirty and stained and had crumbs all over it and under the cushion I just felt grossed out touching any surfaces The price was jacked up because of something going on in town so this was not at all worth the $289 nightly rate If you have extremely low cleanliness standards this might be ok for you They really need to disinfect and update this place

We had a lovely visit in Spokane this past week, and the DoubleTree Hotel was really nice Special shout out to the ladies at breakfast – Krystal, Sandy, and Patty They were always cheerful, friendly, and helpful

(The cook was awesome, too – always cooked my eggs over medium perfectly!) Front desk personnel were likewise wonderful, especially the young lady (whose name I didn’t get) with the glasses and short dark hair The location can’t be beat, and the proximity to the Centennial Trail is an added bonus Thank you all for everything!

I love this unique and charming hotel! I loved learning and reading about the history of this property The communal space and lounge area was unique and comforting – gorgeous fireplace! The hotel smelled nice and the rooms were big There was parking out back that was easily accessible and I even used the business center to work from

Location was in the heart of downtown and had great coffee shops and restaurants within walking distance This hotel had everything Most importantly, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful and even gave my service animal a doggy bag upon check in!

Michelle Crisman

The Montvale Hotel is in an excellent location We parked and walked to every attraction — waterfalls, shopping, great restaurants, Fox Theater, Davenport, etc — that we cared to see

The room was spacious, minimalist and clean The beds were very comfortable I loved that the rooms were all placed around a beautiful lounge with a fireplace; it felt as though I were leaving my master suite to sit and enjoy my living room (though MUCH grander than my actual living room, of course) Check in and check out could be done by phone and we loved that convenience Enjoy your stay at The Montvale Hotel!

Neal O’Neal

This hotel is really cool! The layout and the finishing touches were fabulous There was seating in the indoor courtyard and gray art The feel was early 19th century

Our bed was pretty soft and that is not My wife and my preferred mattress hardness Restaurants and parking readily available The parking lot was right behind the building or another one on the other side of the block and fenced in We could see the train but not really hear it Great stay except the soft mattress

Love this hotel!!! Friendly service, beautiful, clean hotel Love the location, just across from the river Plenty of lighting in the rooms, which is usually my complaint in other hotel rooms

Large rooms with plenty of storage for clothing Bathrooms had plenty of counter space with space under the counter as well They offer all the free water you want during your stay I had an issue during my stay and Taylor went above and beyond to rectify the situation Will definitely stay here again!

Elizabeth Boss

The hotel was nice, however, there was a huge party going on in the suite next to me that extended into the hallway I called “At Your Service” twice asking if there was anything they could do to get the party quieted I selected the top floor “Penthouse Suite” (which, I’m guessing there are several floors with all rooms similar) and a room at the far end from the elevator hoping it would be a quiet room

I paid extra for a room I thought would be quiet and was quite disappointed I would not recommend this hotel unless you’re part of the party

Brekyn Worbes

We really enjoyed our experience! The view of downtown was beautiful The hotel bar’s drink are absolutely amazing and the food there is delicious Our room was spacious, clean, modern design

No mini fridge or microwave but still great The showers was super cool and big Staff was friendly and eager to help Vale was well worth the little up charge The location is PERFECT Close to bars, restaurants, and the river Highly recommend!!!

We stayed here just before flying out for vacation and we are really glad we did The service was awesome and the food was great as well Having a place to stay before flying out that will keep your vehicle and take you to the airport then pick you up is like having that really awesome family member helping you out

It made out vacation so much better We also stayed there when we flew back and got the same awesome service

Myesha Kirby

We had a great experience here rooms were nice, bathroom were perfect for what we were looking forward to Cleanliness in the bathroom could have been a bit better but for the most part it was great Casino was pretty heavy on the smoke, maybe could use a little better ventilation system but they do have a non smoking area

All in all we would stay here again

Darlene Seward

I didn’t stay at the hotel I went to their summer theater and saw Brad Paisley perform It was a huge crowd but it was handled very well by the casino and they had lots of staff there to help you find your seats and to direct you in the right direction The security was very good but not invasive of your personal space so that was wonderful

The only issue is their parking and the large distance that you have to walk to get into their event other than that it was a perfect experience

The launch area for our kayak and their rental boats is muddy and filled with seaweed It’s the kind of mud that sucks your shoes off Otherwise, the lake is beautiful

The owners and management are friendly and very accommodating Five stars for themThough we haven’t camped there, the campground is small with limited sewage sites It does have a nice picnic area

#ThreeHatsRanch

A really nice find Owners are very helpful and courteous Park is located directly on Silver Lake

Good shade, water and electric hook up’s Only 15 minutes to Spokane Easy access to fuel, groceries and other services Very quiet at night even with the kids at various sites Owner is very responsive to maintenance Grass is green and well taken care of

Melaia Tutanekai

We didn’t realize how small the site was We camped in tents We had a good time

Friendly staff The water was so full of seaweed stuff it wasnt appealing to swim in This was our hugest displeasure So packed at the shore line It was rather gross Our kids wouldnt even brave it And the only watercraft is basic We thought you could rent a boat We brought our kayaks and loved being able to drop in and go 😞 showers could use a little update/upkeepover all beautiful spot Just doesn’t really have that resort feel when you can’t swim in water 😕

Read this before you book your wedding!! Sales was great, but everything after that seemed pretty disorganizedThey charge a 22% service fee and originally said that included gratuity, then said it didn’t We found out that they pay a higher wage instead of gratuity for weddings, but you can tip extra if you want

You have to prepay for what you expect people to drink, you set a limit for the open barour arrangement was they were supposed to come check in with me if we went over a certain amount The bartender was telling people our prepayment amount the limit and even charged a guest, but luckily it ended up in our room charged not our guests It was super embarrassing! Not sure how to fix that problem but maybe talk to the staff on that day of your wedding and remind them of your plan? Our family helped with clean up and some stuff was left behind It’s been a nightmare getting our items back They don’t just call you and say we have a box of things that was left at your wedding You have to reach out to the hotel and describe each item They probably still have a bunch of our stuff that we don’t even know of missing yet we’ve made multiple requests for our stuff Some of our missing things were in a box together, we got some of the things in that box back and some of it is still missing So double and triple check the area before you go! Also, take an inventory of your things so if something goes missing you can tell them what it is Hopefully it’s not a wedding gift! One of our cards is still missing! The service was hit and missThe bellmen and one lady at the front desk were amazing, most of the other staff seemed to be inconvenienced by us!All that being said, we would still book the Davenport againOur wedding was beautiful! The hotel was very clean! It was really convenient having so many of our guests staying at there!

Hari Chetlur

Beautiful hotel The lounge is great Parking is nearby and convenient

Rooms are clean and comfortableThe service leaves something to be desired My room had 2 conditioners instead of a shampoo and conditioner That is an understandable mistakeI called and asked for a shampoo to be dropped off to the room I found another conditioner when I got back It was too late in the night to do anything about it so I just left it aloneI also asked for a shower cap that never arrived and a toothpaste that only reached me after my second attemptNone of all this was bad enough to ruin my experience But I did feel disappointed with the service

Jeff Thisted

Please recognize Mary Murphy for her wonderful customer service and our personal thanks We were initially charged over $900 for a room Mary took care of us and brought it down to $546!! My Uncle Dale & Aunt Barbara went there all the time to celebrate special events

This is where we chose to celebrate their live & have our family reunion Your hotel has been, and is, a family favorite, it is the best! And Mary Murphy is a wonderful ambassador for your staff Thank you

This hotel was very nice and new! Great place to stay after traveling all day!Rooms are very modern and has many amenities including k cup machine, working desk, and mini refrigerator! Beds were very comfortable We stayed here 2 times during our travels and both were great!Staff is very friendly and helpful Great job!

Tony Villelli

UPDATE: Stayed again and was quite disappointed! Was only a 2 star experience vs the 4 last time so dropping my rating to 3 Room was not clean! The cleaning staff had made the bed but did not changed the sheets (yuck!), had not vacuumed (all kinds of dirt and debris in the carpet and actually found a piece of broken glass in the carpet, see photo), the tub had not been cleaned (hair, dirt and shaving clippings in the tub and on the walls, see photo)

Towels were dirty and not even hung neatly We got in late and they were booked solid so couldn’t get us another room and had no cleaning staff available Front desk guy was great, found us clean sheets and we remade the beds ourselves As a former regional hospitality manager I am super sensitive and attentive to these things Hopefully they can get things figured out before our next stay, as if the place is like this again it will probably be our last staySpacious rooms Nice decor Clean Only down side (and not a huge thing) was they were a little light on stocking the room Suite sleeps 6 but only had towels for 4, and cups, coffee, etc for 2

Allison

Beautiful new hotel located directly across from the airport! Service was great and rooms were clean They even have EV chargers My only two suggestions

firstthe shampoo, conditioner, body wash bottles are a little too highwhen I went to press the shampoo pump the shampoo sprayed right into my eyes, not the end of the world but just a suggestion The second suggestion is the privacy latch in my room was completely brokenWhen traveling it’s just a small comfort to have that privacy latch

This place we were told has been renovated and it’s nice We honestly thought it was new! We laughed at the fact others stayed right across the street for almost double what this place is charging The room was clean, staff were great, breakfast was good (basic like hotels but lots), easy check in an check out, close to downtown, close to Riverfront park etc

The only down side is the pool The pool itself was refreshing The hot tub was extremely hot that we couldn’t even sit in it But the biggest issue was there is absolutely no veneration for the pool area Just a single window open It was extremely humid inside an the chemical of the pool could be smelled because of the enclosed space Posing a health issue They need to fix that Other then that I would absolutely stay here again!

Manuel Vázquez

Definitely coming back to this hotel next time I visit Spokane!Personnel is extremely friendly and polite, great pool and hot tubThere was one day on which the housekeeping person didn’t come even though we asked for it a couple days in advance, we spoke with the manager and he sincerely apologized and gave us some treats, a deck of cars and some dice We understood it was an honest mistake but he went above and beyond to make it right

Kaden Earle

The staff was nice The style of the room is very pretty however I am not happy with the cleanliness I see a lot of good reviews on here so maybe they are just having a bad day? The shower had finger prints on the glass, the elevator up to the room has boot prints on the door, by the buttons, etc

No trash bags in the cans in our room so sorry if there is wet or anything in the cans Also, front desk will tell you it’s a $2000 incidental it’s actually $4000 not a huge deal but they should tell you the correct info Lady who checked us in and out was very kind, Night Audit was a B**** probably won’t stay here again, maybe give them a second shot, we will see

Rooms were very clean, especially the shower which was super nice too! The bathroom was a tad small but to be expected in a renovated building of this type For the price this was an amazing stay! Normally it’s difficult to sleep well in hotel rooms but we could actually consistently control the temperature from the heating unit and the bed was very comfortable! Good location for downtown Spokane and the hotel bar seemed cool even though we didn’t go in

Johnmarc Candelaria

Hotel Ruby does the job well while being located in such an awesome location at a decent price! If you want or need to be in Downtown Spokane, I don’t see why you shouldn’t consider Hotel Ruby as your place to stay The property looks very chic and the rooms are clean The front lobby staff were friendly and welcoming

However, the location is the best part about Hotel Ruby since Downtown Spokane has a lot to offerThe only knock I would give on the Hotel is the noise that enters the room If a neighbor is awake and having a conversation at night, be prepared to use the provided ear plugs (yes, we found ear plugs when we walked into our room) or any other noise cancelling tools as you might struggle to fall asleep due to the noise Furthermore, it seems like the hotel parking area was always full at night, so that is another consideration to make if you are driving to the propertyAll in all, Hotel Ruby was a great place to stay for my visit to Spokane

Elizabeth Backstrom

Great hotel in the heart of downtown, walkable and close to everything Only downside is not much parking in front of the hotel but they do have parking lots nearby I think if I had a lot to unload from my car this could be a pain but if you’re a single traveler or have a smaller amount of stuff, it’s not a problem

Friendly staff, quiet and a nice area, I will stay again

This is a nice hotel but very

Odd The rooms are nice but then Track lighting? Fancy fancy fancy public bathrooms, all automated But then a stack of paper towels that go in a dispenser, just in a basket on the counterChairs are cool with their snake skin style leather and the art is all safari themed, marble entrance and all that, but no fridge or microwave in the room? The rooms are large but feel empty, even with huge furniture For a $200 room, I’d expect at least a mini fridge Even super 8 has that and their rooms are $60 a nightI dunno, it all says “Lots of money” but juxtaposed with weird decor and skimping on lightingOH and the complimentary shampoo and conditioner are nice, but bolted to the wall in the bathroom And the heating/ac doesn’t seem to be accurate and couldn’t keep the room a normal tempThe bed however was super comfortable!!

John Larkin

Located in the heart of downtown Spokane, this hotel is in easy walking distance of restaurants, breweries, wine tasting, the mall, Riverfront Park and the symphony at the Fox Theater Although the restaurant in the hotel looked great, we ate at other nearby Davenport facilities – brunch at the Historic Davenport and dinner at the Post Street Ale House The room was well kept and comfortable and the pool and jacuzzi in the basement was great

Please kick “like” if this review was useful to you – I like the feedback

Jamie Bailey

I booked this room not know what to expect I was shocked and kind of it of place when we walked in This hotel is what we call swanky

We had drive 5 hours to get there and looked like we belonged at a motel 6, why lie The staff that greeted us was very nice We arrive a night early They put us in a room that we wouldn’t have to change from the next morning The room was a 2 queen room Was very spacious and clean We used valet parking and they were very pleasant and quick to get our car when needed It was so close to the venue we were there for we actually just walked there

Great place in the middle of downtown Spokane It was walking distance from a nice bar The Club was also right across the street from the cathedral

That made it easy to make mass in the morningThe history was unique for the club The room we got was very well equipped for such a historic hotel We enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back

Laura Carter

Booked on the day as we decided to stay in town another day Room small and dated, beds not great Only towels for two people even though we had booked for three

TV and lamp didn’t work Bathroom had hair in it (not ours) No information provided at check-in Breakfast not included, pool has limited opening hours and you have to make a reservation to use but the reservation system doesn’t work so you just have to go and see if you can use it (disappointing for kids!) Parking is an extra fee and round the corner from the hotel It’s a private members club and should probably just stick with that Never stayed in a hotel when you feel like it’s an inconvenience you are there! Beautiful city with lots of lovely other places to stay

Crissy Schmaus

Location is great, friendly and professional staffs! The room is spacious and has all the necessary furniture and small appliances needed for a comfortable stay Make sure you are in arenovated room, worth it and highly recommended

My mother & I recently stayed here and had my brothers wedding rehearsal dinner here Not only was the room very comfortable and beautiful but the staff was amazing! The manager Travis took care of everything we need to ensure a wonderful evening The head chef, staff and Travis went above and beyond for us

This was an amazing stress relief as we are from Massachusetts and being 3000 miles away Travis made us feel as ease and was extremely accommodating We will definitely be staying here again!

Good downtown location with plenty in walking distance The rooms seemed clean and comfortable The rooms are slightly dated seeming, but not terrible

The bar/restaurant downstairs has decent selection and the servers were attentive There is also a coffee shop on the lobby area Walk to plenty of attractions and easy access to public transportation

Be cautious staying at this hotel For the high cost, you will be disappointed We checked in early and the front desk told us the lock had just been changed on our room and said the room was ready

We went up to the room and noticed the door was being held open Was a bit eerie but we went into the room anyway We noticed it seemed clean enough other than the pile of sawdust left on the floor from the lock replacement The keys we were given didn’t work so we went back downstairs for new ones We turned on our do not disturb for the whole weekend yet housekeeping entered our room anyway and took all of our towels without replacing them It took them about a half an hour to bring new ones, which one of them was stained and disgusting We spoke to a manager that night and we were happy with the compensation given for this experience However, that same night we were getting ready for bed and noticed that our comforter was filthy We called the desk and asked for a new one We were given another one that was even more disgusting It looks like mildew all over it We asked again for another blanket The hotel told us they walked to the other hotel to get us a “brand new” blanket It was the same exact thing Full of mildew We slept with a sheet that night On Sunday, they told us there were no managers available to speak to on the weekend even though we had spoken to one the night before We then got a call from the manager who was unwilling to reimburse us for this trip that was filled with issues He also tried making excuse after excuse for the disgusting blankets He told us the blankets are “aged” and the “feathers are burnt” inside the comforter Look at the pictures for yourself The comforters had 0 feathers in them Paying $800+ for a weekend at a hotel you would expect it to be much better than this We would have gotten better service at a motel 6 and we will never stay here again We made sure to let all of our local friends know as well Absolutely disgusting

I had a reservation for Saturday 3/19/22 and unexpectedly my daughter ended up in the hospital I called the hotel to reschedule and explained the situation, they refused to waive the fee and reschedule I was going to be charged $277 and instead sleep in the hospital

Life happens and i had plans to go on a family trip yet my daughter was released Saturday at 3pm and we were forced to drive or loose the money Thankfully my daughter was feeling better and we ended up goingi had my daughters hospital bracelet and hospital paperwork but no manager on site They accommodated us in a completely different room with 1 bed instead of the 2 beds i had paid the $277 for and left it at the same rate as if i were getting all the amenities i origally was charged for,When i got there to check in as soon as the receptionist saw my name her attitude changed in a negative way My husband asked a question and she rudely answered We felt unwelcome and uncomfortable The ladies from the breakfast area were awesome That is about the only people that approached us nicelywill not be back for any business trips as we always book our trips here with my work company and we bring lots of business to this hotel
