We arrived and were greeted by an extremely strong odor of cigarettes We stayed in room 8, and although it is a non-smoking room, it smelled like a Las Vegas casino inside Absolutely awful

I use a sleep apnea machine (CPAP), and when I arrived home following our trip, I had to throw the entire unit out into the trash because the smell permeated throughout the machine Not only that, but I had a horrible headache that lasted the entire day following our stay, certainly due to the awful stench After our stay, we called the owner to discuss the smell, and he walked into the room and accused us of making it up My hunch is that the staff are just used to the smell and literally cannot smell it, which is quite concerning I didn’t even ask for a refund, I simply wanted an explanation, and got absolutely nothingNow onto the other issues We wanted to cook food We were greeted with two steak knives and butter knives, but nothing else Additionally, there were no paper towels, and no cutting board I have never stayed anywhere that did not provide paper towels Why provide toilet paper then? There is nothing like the experience of cutting meat on toilet paper with a steak knife The owner might reply to this saying “you could have just asked for it” etc… But, how is that our responsibility? We paid $165 to stay in an establishment that has been in business for years and years How hard is it to just get it right?Next is the insects Prepare to be greeted by flying insects everywhere In the shower, in the bedroom, in the kitchen, on the walls Have you heard of a screen door before? Also, if you want to moor at the dock, half the mooring cleats have been ripped out, leaving only a few that are usableLastly, the wifi is complete trash, and if you stay here you are better off using your own data

Although this hotel is an older property, the hotel is clean overall and they keep up on most aging parts of the property James who took my reservation was very nice Shannon, at the front desk when I checked in, is always friendly, pleasant and helpful

I appreciate that she remembers me Jan in the lounge, and her supporting kitchen staff, are really great I appreciate being able to get everything I need at the end of a work day, right there at the hotel where I am staying Thank you!

The inside of this hotel is absolutely stunning The architecture in the common areas is absolutely gorgeous, and whomever selected the art pieces, furniture, and decorated the place is incredibly talentedKey highlights:Indoor poolClean roomsComfortable bedsGorgeous interior DesignBeautifully decorated throughoutNicest BW I have ever stayed in

This place is outdated for the money Worn down stuff like the bathtubs and furniture Windows are dirty

Smells like cigarettes even if you don’t smoke The rooms are connected so the smell goes through out the hotel Housekeeping barges into your room multiple times in a morning and don’t speak English There is no common courtesy here or any sort of communication If the hotel bothered to speak to housekeeping and let them know who’s there or not they can save time and money Instead it’s ran like trash WorldMark in Nice is 1000 times better if you can get a room and it’s same price or less with better amenities

This was a trip gifted to me by my fiance for my birthday This was fun and I enjoyed the quiet near the lake There is a pier exclusively across the street from the location to walk out on for guests

June and her husband were very gracious and delicious breakfast was served daily We stayed in La caboose for 2 days The tub was very comfortable and if you get the chance to drive around the lake that’s a good way to spend it a day

Bill Mulgrew

What a wonderful experience! The new owners Jami and David were friendly, professional and determined to be excellent hosts The property is serene and the pool spotless The savory breakfasts were fantastic

We stayed in the Casablanca caboose, which was very clean and a lot of fun Watching the movie “Casablanca” in the room was a treat I think this is one of the older cabooses, and it needs a little work to be “perfect” but we had no complaints at all We were able to tour a few of the other cabooses, and they were beautifully done and fresh in their upkeep A wonderful spot for a romantic getaway We will go back

Christina

Pulling up to this very unique B&B was quite shocking considering we spontaneously booked it without seeing all the photos first! General tip: I highly recommend doing this occasionally to keep your trips interesting After a bit of hesitation, we decided to check it out Meeting the very attentive owner June, and having her show us our room/car, we were pleasantly surprised how clean and accommodating she keeps her establishment

Needless to say, we unpacked straight away and headed over to fish for some cats or bass The unobstructed views of the lake make for a lovely backdrop for an evening stroll or enjoying coffee in the morning To top of our time there June made us the best homemade breakfast We very much look forward to staying there again and highly recommend you give it a go Cheers!

I wish I could give it zero stars but I’ll give it one star because we stayed here once five years ago and it was the worst hotel experience we’ve ever had! Our room smelled like dog urine and the front desk lady, Erin, was very rude! Also, the room didn’t have decent air conditioning The only good thing was that the pool was nice, but even the whole town is run down! Every window was broken, there was graffiti everywhere, and there were hoodlums standing around every corner! Also, it was 110 degrees that time we stayed, so we won’t be coming back! This place should close down!(Written by Henry Liesching)

Definitely one of the nicer places to stay at in Clearlake Even though the water was too low to keep our boat at the docks, the owners made parking easy for a boat and trailer and public free launch is right down the road for a quick, easy launch But…

Was bummed that by booking 2 years in advance, we paid $40 more a night than the current rates of when we were there and never had service of our room in the five days we were there Sign in room said we would get service every other day, but it didn’t happen Then after being called ‘City Folk’ for letting the owner know of a broken water head right out side our cabin door that we had to walk thru to get to our truck, I’ve fumed over this trip long enough and have said my peace We definitely won’t be staying here again

Cate Freyer

This is the most delightful, lovely, relaxing place to stay! I am blown away by the many thoughtful details that the owners put into the large lakeside cottage—from many outlets for charging, to luxurious towels and sheets, to a keurig coffee maker, pots and pans, dishes, even a graceful glass bottle for dish soap It is a sweet, lovely place We didn’t leave! We watched the sunset over Mt Konocti and sunrise over the marina from the lawn and birds from the windows

Neighbors were quiet and polite The pictures will show you more or less what to expect but do not do it justice Also, this place is past the “hubbub” of Clearlake in a quiet peaceful neighborhood Can’t wait to return!

You can never expect the food to be the same from day to day But the $999 steak dinner is usually pretty good

However u like itlike med rareorder rare & it will usually be perfect Nice big juicy steaksbaked potatoes are baked perfectveggies are usually over cooked & mushy I always try to substitute a salad But well worth the price Pizza is yummy Machines are very tight Not much winning going on

Joe Crabshack

I am so glad to hear it’s non smoking now Before that, the first and last time we went, we walked in to have dinner and the smoke and smoke stench was so bad I lost my appetite and walked right back out May try it again now that it’s non smoking

Have heard the food is good But the service not so good I need good, friendly service It’s imperative for me to spend time or money Not sure I wanna risk it with many other options available

Lori H

Very nice casino, it was the first time i had been there, i would stop again if i was in the area Clean machines, friendly staff, no servers to speak of, but since Covid that is the way it is at most of the casinos To make up for the lack of servers though they have drink areas where you can help yourself to soda, tea, or coffee

I like that idea and again many casinos are doing the same thing I hear people complain that they can never get a server and i think all that does is cause a negative vibe around them 🤔 Just dawned on me the ones i hear complaining are in fact also losingOverall we had a great time Stop by sometime when you’re in the area and check out their $399 breakfast special it was great and $399 is just crazy cheap especially for the amount of food you get
