This Hyatt Place is amazing; well run and friendly staff! After checking in, we were impressed by the clean and well stocked rooms with a lovely view of the pool and beach across the street The lobby has so many sitting areas to enjoy a cocktail at night or gulf view for breakfast The heated pool and hot tub made it enjoyable to swim and n chilly weather or you could sit by the fire pit and warm up

Kim Brown

Room and amenities were great The view was wonderful Great pool area and wonderful access to the beach

The only reason I didn’t give it a 5 star is the continental breakfast It was lacking For the price I would like to have seen waffles, breakfast meats, something with sustenanceOther than that this place was amazing Staff is super friendly and fixed our reservation error ( not their error) quickly

Leila Adkins

I would give this hotel 45 stars if I could The staff was extremely nice! Some of the nicest I’ve met at any hotel

The hotel was very clean, smelled great and was in a perfect location The room was a great size and we enjoyed the view They also have a bar area you can sit at and enjoy music on the weekends They do have a pool but we did not go to it because it was kinda small and there was a lot of people there Since the hotel is on the beach, the pool didn’t really matterThe only things I did not like was the bathroom door was broken and the breakfast is no longer a real, hot breakfast It is muffins, bagels and cereal Having myself, my husband and our two sons in one room, a working bathroom door is necessary I can understand the breakfast being changed though with all of the restaurants that have popped up around the hotel What they did offer worked for us but we were expecting an actual breakfast so that was a little disappointingWe would definitely stay here again!

Jessica

Hotel was great Great view and loved our room Staff was super nice

BUT, whoever the lady is who PROTECTS the breakfast is awful She watched over our shoulder, couldn’t pour our own milk, and while making my coffee I had my items on the counter and she’s yelling at me I need to clean it I haven’t even moved yet She is absolutely awful and will probably be the reason I couldn’t ever come back Hotel would be AMAZING if she didn’t work there

Loved the pictures of the White House Hotel online When I read the hotel’s history I was hooked Booked through the hotel’s website

Wanted a specific view from the room We got exactly what we hoped for Our room was enormous All of the staff was very professional Order an “Old Fashioned” at the bar It was perfect The food we ordered from Cora’s Restaurant was amazing Love, love the pool We would definitely recommend this hotel Felt very old school classy without being pretentious

J soot

Stayed four nights I did not experience the restaurant, but two nights in a row I had a nightcap at the bar, and watching some of the other patrons receiving food made my mouth water!! I had limited interaction with the staff, but those I did were very friendly, and helpful when askedThe room was on the back side, so my view was the parking lot, but it was only a few steps to the front where you could sit on the front porch, or sit on a balcony overlooking the pool area, or down at the pool itself

LovelyConvenient to most everything in the area Thank you, and I would not hesitate to stay again

This is a wonderful place for a family vacation Our room was very clean, the staff were so friendly, and the drinks were delicious! The arcade was really cool and the pool was amazing! There’s something for everyone in the family at this place It was also nice having a balcony to sit on overlooking the water and watching the dolphins catch fish in the marina; not something you get to see everyday! I’m definitely looking forward to going back

This hotel is a gem amongst some good competition I’ve stayed at several of the casino hotels on the coast; however, this hotel is now my favoriteThe appointments are of the early 1940s rat pack era and and come across as sophisticated

My 2 bedroom suite was great The living area, rooms, and bathrooms were of nice proportions and overall roomy The room was very clean and had some cool decorThe hotel staff was friendly and sent me a text to check on things – nice touchThe location is great as it is within walking distance to the Beau, Hard Rock, and downtown BiloxiThe pool area looked impressive, but it was too cold to swimThe bar had a nice selection of wines, but food was limited – perhaps due to economic factorsAs stated, I will choose this hotel over its competition due to its price, value, and sophisticated look/appeal

Lisa N

I loved this hotel until the weekendRooms were great and the staff was wonderful However

The hotel plays music throughout the hallways that can be heard in the roomsDuring the week the music was not audible in the rooms until 8 am (which is still rather early) and could not be heard after 9 pm However on Friday night the music continued loud all night The front desk would not reduce the volume saying it was the same as all other nightsIf you are good with music playing while you are trying to sleep then this is a great place to stay If not, you may want to look elsewhere

Michael Johnson Sr

Our stay there was very last minute planning

Baton Rouge to BiloxiLocated on the beach highway We had a great view of the gulf (of Mexico) from our room! They had the amenities that I was primarily interested in on-site gym, very important; and a poolNo breakfast included but several great restaurants nearby within 2-milesThe motif of the hotel was TV legends specifically The Rat Pack (Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr, etc) Lots of black & white prints throughoutIt has the feel of a boutique hotel The room was modern, spacious and tastefully accentedThe Hard Rock was a 5-minute walk awaySecure, perimeter enclosed parkingAll levels of staff, very courteous! We would definitely stay again!

I would love to rate it a 5 for the front desk staff only They were very customer orientated and greeted everyone with a smile TERIA , deserves a 10 star, she was super informative, kind and joyful

My room had ants, the phone didn’t work, there was hair on the wall in my bathroom and an open bar of dove soap on the counter We asked for the room to be cleaned again since it hard to just leave a hotel and find another one Jennifer, the housekeeper, left our door unlocked with our bags in it while she was downstairs We called to let the front desk know that there were currently no sheets on the bed and our door was unlocked Jennifer came back up frustrated, breathing hard, threw the covers on the bed and asked in a very passed tone” what yall want me to do, make the whole bed? ” I told her no mam, I’d just like clean sheets because it was a long piece of black hair in my bed as well I told her she didn’t have to do anything and thank you I took the sheets and put them on my own bed and she left I didn’t want her negative energy in my room or on my sheets The front desk assisted me the best that they could

As a travel agent i have stayed at many hotels the last few years and this one is one of my families favorites Sheraton and Marriott really did a great job on this place The Sheraton has a modern style look, the rooms were immaculate, beds were comfy and the lazy river was so much fun

It was a nice place to stop and break up a long ride home The staff were very friendly and helpful If we had more time I would definitely stay longer!

Pammie

Very friendly staff Loved the modern and spacious room Very clean and the bed was so comfortable! Much better than the Hilton

The only reason I didn’t give it five stars because our room was near the elevator and was a little noisy when I was trying to sleep, but thank goodness I ALWAYS travel with ear plugs Oh, the breakfast was good too!

Skip to main contentWe have stayed in many boutique hotels in our travels and this one is one of the best!Honestly, if you are traveling through Mississippi this is the hotel to stay inFirst of all, we want to give a big shout out to the following team members:Princeton – A great person; he made us feel welcome from the first time we talked to him on the phone He greeted us upon our arrival and made us feel welcome, almost like he was inviting us into his home

He delivered needed items to our room without hesitation and we saw him around the hotel doing whatever needed to be done with a smile on his faceChrista – Bar Assistant did a great job with serving and checking up on us even under extremely busy conditions Very accommodating with a smileChristy Lee – Bartender – Very professional and accommodating under very busy conditionsTop notch employees!!!The grounds were beautiful with an interior garden, modern furnishings, large banquet room for gatherings, lovely rooms all with an intimate feel, and great rooftop bar open on Thurs, Fri, Sat with nightly local musiciansThe stay included a delicious full breakfast with lovely pastries, biscuits, gravy, fruits, meats and eggs Wow!!!We want to thank you for making us feel so welcome and will definitely be back when we are in MississippiDate of stay: April 2022The rooms facing the garden with balconies are lovely

Cory M

Overall the stay was good It’s a nice old building with a pretty courtyard and a perfect location for walking to the historic sites and museums of downtown Jackson The rooms are spacious, well-decorated, and comfortable

However, the service is somewhat rough around the edgesThe good news is that these shortcomings are correctableFirst of all, there is no housekeeping unless your request it This is unacceptable, especially at a hotel that wants to be “boutique” and more on the upscale side Daily housekeeping should be expected and automatic I found myself having to call and ask for clean towels then waiting for them to be brought to meSecond, if you are going to ask guests to select a time for their breakfast in the dining room, then you should have their breakfast ready on time I and other guests had a 7 AM “appointment” yet had to sit there for a good while waiting on the breakfast to be brought in Fortunately at least there was coffee readyThird, one of the big selling points of this hotel is the rooftop bar and the views from it However, the rooftop only accessible Thursday, Friday, and Saturday One cannot even enter the area at all except on those days This area was off limits even though the weather was beautiful and I would’ve loved to have just enjoyed the viewFinally, cleanup is needed in the courtyard There were leaves clogging the fountain, which was pretty otherwise

Brad Robertson

I stayed for two nights in May 2022 What a great experience Extremely friendly check in process and the gentleman at the front desk even offered to give me a ride to the train station when I was departing

Very comfortable room and lovely courtyard for breakfast/reading A one minute walk from the civil rights museum and near downtown makes this an exceptional place to stay for a brief visit to this very interesting city

I was greeted with a smile and very friendly young lady named Una I was a walk-in because Best Western Manor was just a great disappointment and I couldn’t stay there Una took care of me quickly and efficiently The rooms was clean and nice and spacious

No noisy guests just calm I only spent 1 night here and it was peaceful and safe I remember staying here a few years ago after my granddaughter had surgery You can always count on Hampton Inn to make you feel comfortable safe and clean rooms Breakfast was good also Dry ceral, fresh fruits grits eggs sausage waffles yogurt assortment of juices and coffee Although I live the barnyard door the bathroom should have a private door by itself

Phil NH

We had one night in Biloxi We chose to pay the extra for the Hampton Inn because of the hot tub and pool, it looked awesome Checkin went smooth, super friendly staff for that

We had some hot tub time at night, the pool was murky so we skipped that option Then in the AM we went into the Gulf for a bit and thought let’s hit the pool it opens at 7Actually at 7, the pool cleaners show up to the Hyatt pool AND the Hampton pool (You have access to both, you know, in case one is closed) Closing both pools/hot tubs for at LEAST half the day The pool areas were unkempt, cigarette butts, trash in and around the pool areaThen we figured fine, we’ll use the on site laundry to dry our clothes then head out It’s coin op, with no change machine and the morning front desk staff gave us an attitude when we asked for quarters Stating, “No” No option or recommendation where to get changeThis was a super disappointing trip

Stefanie Jones

I’ve stayed at better Hampton Hotels The only positive was the staff hospitality They were extremely nice and welcoming

There was construction underway that we were not made aware of when we booked The room was not very clean upon arrival: floors were wet, room was stale smelling The halls were hot which could have been due to construction

Great potential, but falls short The building is nice and feels brand new I’m not a fan of the decor; it’s as harsh in attempting to be modern

The desk and housekeeping people we encountered were great Location is great But the room AC couldn’t keep up with summer heat, letting the temperature and humidity rise in the afternoons There are only 2 ice machines so you have a 50/50 chance of needing the elevator to get ice You’ll need your room key to operate the elevator for that trip—maybe I should be glad they’re “security conscious” but It certainly highlighted the shortage of ice machines There were two coffee cups in the room, and we had to use those for ice water because there weren’t any cold cups No housekeeping during your stay unless you request it the day before We ate breakfast in the restaurant once: below-average fare you’d find in free breakfasts at roadway motels, but it wasn’t free—we had a better breakfast for half the price at a coffee shop across the streetWe might go back, but next time we’re in Cleveland we’ll definitely try someplace else

Spent 3 nights at the Cotton House April 2022 The hotel was excellently maintained and the room was well kept and clean The staff was great and check-in and out were a breeze

I was in town for business Sun through Wednesday and the hotel restaurant was not open that entire time The bar did serve dinner, but had a selection of 4 or 5 meals, severely limited That being said, the food they did serve was great Additionally, there wasn’t a microwave or refrigerator in the room With no restaurant, it would have been nice to not be dependent on fast food Overall, great stay, and I would definitely stay again

I’ve stayed here 3 times so far, and each visit has been excellent From convenient parking to nice rooms and convenient dining/bar experiences – I always look forward to my return We used to stay in Greenwood at the Alluvian, and although this is not a 5 star hotel, it’s perfect for visiting the center of the Delta or Delta State University

I’m from Cleveland originally, and I love seeing this level of hospitality It’s also perfectly located downtown by all the stores and festival locations

My wife and I just recently spent a couple of days at this hotel and what a refreshing change it was We found the room to be very nice, the staff were very friendly, courteous and professional The centerpiece of the flag pole and dancing water accompanied by the lights was an added touch

The pool was very nice and also had an ample no of lifeguardsThe only negative comments I have is I think it’s time to change the American Flag It needs to be retired when it is frayed, as it was this past weekend Hopefully you’ll have a new one for all to see this Memorial day weekendI will be recommending your facility to friends and family

Staying at Centennial Plaza has become a summer tradition for our family The staff is hospitable and helpful, and the water park is amazing We spend all day hanging out at the large splash area & lazy river

The swim-up bar takes lunch orders, so it’s very convenient when you’re looking to stay all day at the water parkThis place is a must-visit for any Gulf Coast family!

The hotel was clean and adorably decorated for Easter (in the lobby) But what made this hotel FABULOUS was the personal touch by 3 employees who worked hard to help our family out! Melissa, Brooke and Lisa went ABOVE AND BEYOND to clean our room and make it as comfortable as possible for our family as we traveled EVERYTHING was booked out in the area and they truly did their best to accommodate us when we were tired and exhausted and had kids asleep in the car (waaaay too late for them)

We got the LAST room in the hotel and they worked hard to clean it so that we could stay there that night! They were all three so kind and so friendly

Exceptionally clean, very friendly and welcoming We arrived to a VERY clean room, (it even smelled clean upon opening the door), the a/c was set low and the room was very cool, (comfortable) when we laid down in the bed, it was even clean smelling! The staff was really friendly and accommodating and were very helpful in all our requests

We will be back here again, it was a great experience!

Katelyn Ditzler

Very well-maintained hotel! They really go above and beyond with the cute seasonal lobby decorations! The rooms are in good condition, and the bed was very comfortable The pool hours are not convenient, with only being open 10a-8p The breakfast waffles were delicious, and they offered fun flavors like blueberry! But, everything else for breakfast wasn’t great with stale bagels and eggs with peppers in them

Okay so here is my candid reviewUpon entering the building, I saw a man smoking a cigarette I told myself “Maybe he couldn’t wait, being that he was walking towards the outside doors

” However, as I kept walking towards the hotel elevators, I saw that a lot of people were smoking I guess it’s a casino thingIs it a thing? This was my 1st time at a casino and it was interesting I didn’t understand any of the games and what to do to win Guess what? I did win some money You also get free alcoholic beverages while you’re playing on the machines That was cool!My room was nice and neat The pool area is nice as well There is a bar and a jacuzzi as well The weather was perfect this weekend tooThe only personal complaint I have is the smoking I don’t smoke and I hate to smell it and/or smell like it That cheapened the hotel experience for me Apart from that, I had a good experience

Stayed here recently with two young kids and it was not comfortable at all To be honest I wouldn’t stay here even if I was traveling without any kidsPros: The water in the room was hot

Front desk and housekeepers were very nice and friendlyCons:Valet service was closedOnly one bell hop was working which is fine, I can bring up my own luggage, however, no additional luggage carts were available My poor husband had to make four trips up and down the busy elevators to bring up all our stuff3 elevators are available to service guests Good luck if you catch it around a busy timeSet the room at 68 and it never got cold, just felt like it was only blowing airNo microwave in the room, $30 additional charge to get oneBeds were creaky and hard

The room was nice and clean! But it was the customer service I received that lead me to this review From check in to check out was fabulous! I was traveling alone and as a lady I was very cautious When asked I was escorted to the room with a manager, unfortunately I did not get his name

But at Infusions, I did get to know them and complimented the service You know COVID has taken the pleasantness from lots of people in the service area, however every time I was greeted by Terry, is was a smile and small talk When I asked to meet the night manager, he thought he did something wrong When Nancy came out, I had to let her know her employees, who are hard to come by, were a pleasure Brandon and Terry went above and beyond! My Spirit in people had started to diminish but not at IP When I left that falling spirit was lifted as high as can be Thank you my friends for make my trip comfortable and peaceful Mama needed a break from home, and what a blessing I received!!

Nice, friendly staff Table dealers are great at helping you learn new games if your go-to game table is full Beautiful decor making you feel like you’re in a nice atmosphere

I’ve been to this location a few times & win or lose, I always leave happy from a good time! My only negative is the buffet was changed to a different restaurant & it was absolutely horrible service & the food was not even sub par I don’t mind paying good money for good food but it’s a little upsetting to pay good money for bad food plus horrible service We didn’t let it ruin our trip, though We just ate somewhere else the next meal

French Frys

The rooms are absolutely gorgeous However, the hotel rooms did not have a microwave I was like you mean to tell me that the room has a fridge, 3 TVs, c- shape sofa, nice chair, and more, But no microwave

It’s almost like you are being forced to eat the Not So Tasty food I ended up eating my cold shrimp pasta I brought with me prior to checking in The customer service was super awesome

Kathy Wooley

The room was nice and spacious Every employee we came into contact with was courteous and helpful It looks as if the resort used to be a very nice place

It seems rundown now It should have been a sign when we arrived and the parking lot was almost empty and there wasn’t even anyone working valet Most of the restaurants were closed and the food available was only sub par One of the smallest casino floors we have visited

Not a comfortable stay for me and my family Traveled almost 8 hours just to be put in the wrong room, reservation mix up The young lady that checked us in did her best to help the situation – we greatly appreciated her

No other staff followed through with moving us for the weekend I had to constantly go check to see if we could be moved The room flooded, nothing worked properly in the room We were very understanding that things happen They reassured us we’d be taken care of That, unfortunately wasn’t the case Lesson learned
