Convenient to Impact Athletic center, friendly staff, reasonable rate Rooms were sufficient and clean Not too fancy

Breakfast was good with hot selections Cinnamon buns were awesome!!! They even opened breakfast a little early for us on a Saturday to accommodate for our kids’ early tournament start at the athletic center Great restaurant right next door, too

At a glance, this place is greatPros- Nice parking lot, right next to a delicious pub Kid friendly

Nice staff Pool is great sized, rooms great size Clean Cons, our bathtub didn’t drain or turn on and off without a lot of work Even my husband struggled We only stayed for one night,so we didn’t complain The pool area was decent The pile of dirty towels were there when we arrived and still there when we left No towels replenished our whole visit We had to go to the front desk multiple times for towels for our kids,as well as other guests did the same Breakfast was delicious, nice sitting area Overall a nice stay I would stay again

I’ve been calling for a week about hundreds of dollars of team gear left in one of their rooms after a regatta weekend Not a single person has helped me Three have told me management would call me back, no one has

One of our athletes was also stuck waiting for their room to be cleaned until 11:30pm before they could stay in itThe room the gear was left in also had not been cleaned as of 9pm the night of check outDuring our stay, large groups of people were hosting a party in the lobby which split up into loud groups across the first two floors, making massive amounts of noise right in front of the rooms of our doors until after midnight We had to ask them to stop, the hotel staff did nothing All they did was move floors and continue to be loud in front of other roomsAfter booking exclusively with this hotel chain our team will be looking elsewhere now You have to wonder how staff are being treated to perform this poorly

$199 plus tax for the room The room was pretty and clean There was a stong bleach smell when you walk into the battroom

There were some stains on the pillow case and comforter but it was not the worst All-around the hotel looked fairly new The complementary breakfast was tour standard hotel food but they notify people that the eggs had pieces of ham in it for those who are kosher/halal

clotilde palmiero

We had been traveling for 6 hours with our 3 kids and were really looking forward to stay there for the night and we arrived and they were overbooked We had reserved and pre paid the room 5 months ago The customer service at the front desk was poor: they did not apologize or empathize (our kids were clearly tired from the car, maybe offer water or something?)

They tried to blame it on us first (We had to find the reservation in our emails to show the date) and then the booking site It took them half an hour to reimburse us and left us with no room for the night and no apology Homewood suite? Never again

Beautiful hotel with very nicely newly renovated and spacious rooms Booked different room types for family visit and the king bed room was very spacious Could fit another king in it

Double queen beds room always also very spacious Receptionist was very courteous and accommodating We enjoyed our stay My only regret was not asking for a tub (my bad, assumed it had) to have a bubble bath after my long day It had a double size shower At checkout I asked the attendant to notify housekeeping that because of construction in main lobby the rooms were dusty and should be cleaned more properly Some corners you could clearly see dust and debre and while walking through the room does get under feet That was only reason why 4 stars; not 5

Kevin Lawless

My wife and I were very pleased with our stayCheck in was an easy and smooth processThe lobby was clean, comfortable, and modern

Our room was very nice We loved the hardwood floors Gives everything a clean look Nice bathroom Very comfortable bedBreakfast at the Bistro was decentFast check outI will look to stay here again

It’s a very nice hotel; however, when we stepped off the elevator to head to our room, there was a very strong odor of urine Our room smelled as well It was unbearable

Thankfully, we were able to switch rooms without a problem The second room was much betterThe beds are very comfortable and the staff is very friendlyNo breakfast offered and no pool

This is a great hotel The staff were very friendly and welcoming However, on our second day the cleaning staff did not clean our room, so we had to ask for clean towels and more toilet paper, which was kind of a let down for a hotel with such a reputation

Moreover, one towel which was provided to us (although clean) was torn Not a huge deal but for $630 for two nights you would expect better

Grant Brown

I normally avoid staying downtown but that may change now that I have found this place!Beautiful and historic lobby with modern, crisp guest rooms Super comfortable bed Zero noise from neighbors/hallway

Great water pressure and temp Staff were pleasant and welcomingI would definitely recommend if you’re looking for a hotel in the area!

Melissa Bridle

Spent last night here Hotel is beautiful, staff are very friendly, beds are very comfortable Giving it a 3 because when I checked in they gave me a room with a view of a brick wall and am air conditioner, asked to be moved and they readily had other rooms available

The rooms also could use a deep clean Not sure if they just don’t give their staff enough time to clean, but the bed frames need a vacuum and there’s lots of dust and grime in the less seen areas (bed frames, ledges of the sill on the sliding bathroom door, edges of desk and bathroom counters, etc)

Terrible place, sitting outside like homeless person waiting on a room that was supposed to be ready before noon now here 6 hours and still nothing Update I’m beginning to believe that this location is a Franchise, the carpet has stains in the room The shower curtain has a blood stain or maybe poo stain don’t know

The DEAD BOLT does not latch in the Door Jam (big safety concern there) outside in the hall ways is very DINGY The Breakfast was pretty weak to include the All temperature Box Milk they give you is More like the military milk if you were ever in the service Also it seem they refilling all the shampoo bottles with cheap stuff dollar store don’t know why The pool is very dirty it need to be drained and repainted or somethingThe fitness center is sub par Compared to Corporate Owned Holiday INN Actually it seems every time I end up at a franchise Owned Hotel it’s always a bad experience Compared to a corporate one That’s my experience how bout yours??? There is also a restaurant attached but it’s only Open for special events I guess The business center gives you no privacy that’s for sure in the end I would suggest spending an extra 20bucks for a Hilton will be sooooo worth it

M E

This hotel falls short on many things First the good Bed was comfy room was clean and breakfast is available

Now the bad…The hotel is in need of major renovations There is not one wall in the hotel without scuffs Carpets are pulled up from subfloor with heavy staining evident Room furniture is worn There is not a single USB connection in the roomThe common breakfast area is not inviting at all It reminded me of a highway rest stop cafeteria While the concept of a restaurant on sight sounds appealing, do not go to On Tap Just don’t

Faye V Newsome

I stayed at this hotel 8/8/22, I loved it there The bathroom was nice and clean no dirty bath tub and no hair on the floor The sheets smelled nice and fresh and there was no noise in the hallway

I’ve been staying at the Quality Inn, in Colonie, NY every Monday and I had to make a change, this is how a hotel is supposed to be I will make this my permanent spot every Monday that I have a layover

Unexpectedly decent hotel! Stayed here for a single night while attending an event in Downtown Albany Our venue was just about a 3 minute drive to the location, so we opted for an uber which came in minutes Parking was easy on site and in a covered lot

Check in and check out were easy Breakfast was decent with the usual items we haven’t had in NY for almost 2 years since the pandemic started It was nice to sit down and have breakfast Will definitely stay when we’re in the area again

Scott Lamoureux

The pool was not open as the person who answered the phone told me it was 2 days prior to arrival This was the highlight of the trip for my stepdaughter The entrance to our room smelled like a wet dog and housekeeping did not bring new towels or make our beds as expected

Breakfast decent The location was perfect for the event we were attending but if I were to visit Albany again I would look elsewhere

Lisa S

I am a IHG member and I am a fan of the Holiday Inn Express This hotel is in a pretty good location right off the 787 and it is close to some really good restaurants and points of interest I stayed on the second floor and my room was large, clean and very comfortable

The only issue was with the cable You had to go to channel 1 to find out what was on as every channel you clicked on didn’t have the information available They serve a pretty standard complementary breakfast (eggs, sausage, biscuits, bagels, muffins, etc) and they provide free parking for guest, which I greatly appreciated I overall enjoyed my stay and will definitely book another reservation in the future

We’ve stayed at this hotel twice now The room was clean, breakfast was continental and some options changed daily I asked for extra towels and sheets, front desk gave me plenty

Housekeeping was very nice The AC worked very well in the room The shower was nice and hot Only small complaints were the pool smelled very chlorinated, but it was heated so maybe that is why it seemed that way There is no vending machine on the 3rd floor, so we had to go to the 1st floor for snacks We were able to get delivery to the room from a local pizzeria

David York

The basic of basic Rooms are okay Lobby good for sitting when you don’t wanna be couped up in the room

Nice size pool only 4 and half feet deep tho Friendly staff Location isn’t near much but everything is few minutes away Now, the rooms idk if it’s the staff or what have you but there was hair on the beds sheets and towels They moved is to another room which was good and would’ve been great BUT again hairs on the sheets in the next room as well The tub also has a used old bar of soap in it and wasn’t properly cleaned either So house keeping can use some improvements

Easy, efficient check in Friendly staff Very clean room

roomy and comfortable Appreciated the mini fridge and microwaveBar was only open 6pm-10pm (Nina, the bartender, was pleasant, funny and attentive) Breakfast was also still very limited (COVID throwback) We were still able to get a hot bagel sandwich (sausage, egg and cheese) even though it wasn’t advertised Glad my brother asked, otherwise we would have had cold cereal or a muffin Yuck!Nice river view

Lindsay Romeo

We enjoyed our stay here! The location is super close to lots of bars and restaurants, which was great! I also had an issue with my bill and the front desk was quick with resolving it after my trip However, I didn’t necessarily think the premium price was worth it for this stay– the quality of this hotel is similar to any other Courtyard Marriott

Carol Caravassi

The cleanliness and comfort of the guest rooms were completely up to the usual Marriott standards we have always come to depend on, however, the friendliness of the staff and amenities at the Troy location were not We had over 100 guests attending my son’s wedding at Brown’s Brewing Company next door, so we thought the convenient location of the Marriott would be perfectThe 50+ guests who booked into the Marriott at our recommendations all expressed unhappiness about the limited hours at both the bar and the coffee station/breakfast facilities were open

Anyone who attends a wedding celebration until midnight certainly is hoping to get a cup of coffee in the hotel lobby after 9:30 am the next morning! We felt obligated to treat all of our guests to a real breakfast when we discovered that Starbucks closed at 9:30am This may be acceptable for those few guests looking for nothing more than a clean and comfortable room, but it was not acceptable for this very special family event where people flew in from all-over the country to attend When booking reservations for that many guests for the same event, they might want to consider extending the hours of bar and coffee facilities

The Crowne Plaza Albany is an absolute outstanding hotel that provides great quality rooms, superbly made meals and first class serviceIn March of 2022, I brought and treated my wife and myself for a weekend stay at the Crowne Plaza Albany and we enjoyed every moment of our time at the hotel!!!We were warmly welcomed and graciously treated by the hotel’s staff and our hotel room was quite spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean!!!The highlight of the Crowne Plaza Albany and our favorite part of the hotel was its immaculate indoor courtyardThe courtyard is filled with multiple dining areas, a gorgeous fountain and guests are able to view it from the comfort of their own room

My wife and I also enjoyed our breakfast at Mr D’s Restaurant & Lounge and found both our meal and the service of the restaurant’s staff to be superb!!!Both my wife and I enjoyed our time and experience at the Crowne Plaza and definitely recommend for all travelers to stay at this wonderful hotel!!!

Daddy Domrr

I have never had a more pleasant experience I was there this past Sunday and the staff made me feel beyond welcome, but the bartender Anthony went above and beyond what I would expect He was fast, made amazing drinks and was extremely charismatic

I have never had more fun and felt more comfortable at any other bar! I would absolutely recommend going to Mr D’s you will not be disappointed

Bryan Monaco

Interesting hotel layout; it was built by American Airlines in 1974 when they tried to get into that business Their theme was an old time America thing, which resulted in a unique hotel The hotel has two atriums that are like old town squares

The hotel was clean and the staff was good The meeting rooms were great, especially the theater They have a shuttle to the airport, but not to the train station Many people with my group arrived by rail, so that would have been nice The place is obviously popular for weddings because I saw three while I was there I was impressed with their catering I went to a banquet there and the food was great

This was a completely unplanned hotel stay that my kids and I will remember forever Our entire county lost power in residential areas and I wasn’t able to find a hotel closer to home Chose this hotel specifically because it has the indoor pool and hot tub, but also a great price for an immaculate hotel

Everything was so clean The staff were very friendly and helpful Breakfast in the morning was probably the most beautiful set up I have seen with a great selection They have a clean, spacious dining area that had more of a cafe feel to it The pool and the hot tub were exactly what we had hoped for, not too crowded either The hot tub and pool were both handicap accessible- this is something I love seeing, even if we don’t use itAll around, a great stay for an awesome price

OG BassheadMom

Those people who left a negative review have obviously never stayed at some of the other hotels in the area I’ve been traveling back and forth to Albany for a while now and all I can say is do not go for the cheaper hotels Last time,, let’s just say I have never been so disgusted by a hotel room in my life

so, when I got to my room at LA Quinta I was so happy The room was nice, clean and the bed was comfortable The staff was friendly and helpful My son had a good time in the pool and the breakfast was nice too I can’t stress this enough – it is not worth it to go for the cheaper places Spend the extra $50 and stay here, and you’ll be pleasantly surprised

nathan dice

We didn’t get the room we reserved but could use the room we got if we had a roll away Do you think 1 was available at anytime during the stay? Nope Our key was some how deactivated nearly every day, which led to a trip to the front desk

The continental breakfast was truly pitiful as well The staff was really good despite these glaring issues Always friendly and did whatever they could to help At best, meh

Jill Gallagher

We have pictures and videos of the bed bugs, and the owner acknowledges that she was contacted and informed of the situation by Hopper, and never bothered to come down stairs to check on us Her response to hopper informing her of the situation was “tell them to leave the key when they leave” Never once has she reached out to make sure we were safe leaving our hotel at 2 am and hunting for arrangements

The comment insinuating that I brought bugs into the room is quite telling in itself Take responsibility for your property This is a health concern

Julie Soto

We stayed in the Gluha room a week ago There are bedbugs in this room – I was bitten approximately 300 times in one night only (I have pictures) We let the owner know 4 days ago about it, she told us she had never received any complaints (however, I see that another review mentions the bedbugs a few days before I even called

) She just said she would check the bed and spray the room The rooms are all carpeted, and there are curtains / decorating fabric everywhere, so I don’t think quickly spraying the room would do muchOur trip was ruined – we spent our first night at our destination just doing laundry and putting everything in garbage bags to avoid spreading them, and were worried sick the entire time The owner never offered a refund, or even an apology

David Pinkus

My son goes to RPI (about a 20 minute walk) and this is my new go-to place when visiting him The mansion is full of character, and the owner/host Tina is such a warm and wonderful human being It’s also a delight to have breakfast at her table (which she prepares for you to order) with other guests

Sure you could stay at a more expensive chain hotel closer to campus, but you’d miss out on something truly unique and wonderful

I was extremely satisfied with my stay here! Also I’ve never seen such an accommodating hotel Handicap and pet friendly, and there’s even storage for guests (which I’ve never seen before and assuming if one is staying for an extended time)There’s meetings rooms, a media room, fitness area and a pool! The best part complimentary breakfast 👏🏾 (it’s starts at 7 so get there early)The rooms are nice and spacious, the showers are lovely with phenomenal water pressure and temperature! The staff are extremely lovely and helpful and I can’t wait to come back if ever I’m in the area again 🤗

Lily Morris

I booked this room form my grandmother and myself for a weekend away from home The rooms are massive and the pool and spa are great, but other than that, I am very disappointed On multiple occasions, I picked up dirty towels and food from the pool area

They were left there all day On one occasion, I picked blueberries out of the pool There was often trash in the halls and elevator that has been there since we arrived They also failed to tell us that housekeeping is only available upon request That would have been fine but they never told us until we went down and asked When we requested towels and toiletries, we had to ask 3 times before we received them, and they were left outside the door in a pile I am extremely disappointed and I would recommend you stay somewhere else that is worth the large sum I paid for 3 nights

Gary Ambrose

I was a bit disappointed with a few things For the price of $170 per night, I expected at least clean bedding of the proper size There was a stain on the bedspread, when we pulled all the bedding off at the end of our stay there was a large stain on the mattress

Also when we pulled out the sleeper sofa, there was a large urine stain on the mattress When I called the front desk to see if they had a replacement mattress for the sleeper sofa, the only solution that was offered was to put an extra sheet over itThe bedding for the sleeper sofa was of the wrong size (looked like it would probably fit the king bed), and when we asked for proper size sheets to be sent up, they were still the wrong size They either don’t have the right size sheets for the pull out bed, or no one knows where to get them fromThe night we were there, the pool towels were all used up and never replenished From about 6pm until 10pm when the pool closed, there were no towels Someone should be checking this stuff This was on a weekend when the hotel was booked up, so they should have had staff They don’t put enough towels at the pool anyway Even when we went first thing in the morning after it had been filled up, I could tell the towels were going to run out very quickly because they didn’t even fill up half the towel rackThe remote control was missing the battery cover and the batteries would not stay in When I called to ask, they did not have a replacement remote Not the biggest deal, but disappointingThe pool was nice, other than rarely having enough towels out The complimentary breakfast was very good and had a variety of hot food choices The mini kitchen in the room had everything you would need for a short trip All staff I encountered were very friendly, I just wish they were better at solving issues such as the one we had with the pee stain on the pull out The stained bedding and mattresses alone are enough to make me unlikely to stay here again They need to do better in that regard

The front desk man was the rudest person I’ve ever spoken to in my life He made me want to jump across the table and beat him up No one should talk to another person like he talked to my mother and I

We told him that there were roaches as well as bed bugs in my room and my other family members room He said they will have to do an investigation before they can refund my money or anything else I have bed bug bites all over me Also, the front desk man said they allow cats and dogs in the hotel which is so dirty! And people that have allergies to pets should not have to stay in a room where animals were before We spent over 1k for rooms with this hotel, for a family wedding Over 160 of my family members stayed at this hotel and we will never ever come back here! Horrible service horrible hotel I’m a gold member for Hilton and I promise I will never come back to a Hilton hotel

Didn’t happen We had tickets to a show in town that was postponed (we are from CT, so NOT close by)We decided to still come and stay

When we arrived, we were informed that the pet fee (not deposit!) Is $75 Nowhere in my booking confirmation did it say that, and the stated pet policy on the Expedia listing said $75 per WEEK (This is after finding out – surprise- there’s only valet parking on site !?)I told the young man at the desk that although I had selected a pet address, there was nothing about it in my confirmation, nor the follow up I received yesterday I’m used to paying an extra fee for the dog, but it’s usually less than half that While the man and I were talking, the young lady comes over and starts lecturing me about how I cannot leave my dog alone in the room, which I would NEVER do, and hadn’t brought up Neither of them cared that the policy was misleading, and felt dishonest, and they also didn’t seem to care that it was enough to make us leave So we just ate the $150 we paid in advance for the room We were going to come back for the reschedule of this show, and a few others, but our interactions left us feeling very “had” We’d love for you to make this right, but after our experience, aren’t expecting much Customer retention seems to be a thing of the past

Was really looking forward to my stay here while we came up from out of state to house hunt Arrived at 3:30 (check in time is after 3) and was told in the arrival instructions to go to room seven which would have the keys sitting on the dresser Room sevens door was shut and locked on our arrival

Called the owner twice, texted once, and emailed without a response Around ~1hr later got a phone call saying we could just go into room 6 across the hall which should have been open At this point we were down the street grabbing coffee and made it back to the inn around 5:30, at which point room 6 was occupied Texted owner who said she was coming over to resolve things 30 minutes later she had not arrived We had reservations for dinner at 6:30 Proceeded to text her with no response We had already been charged for a room so we just staying in one of the open rooms No follow up communication ever occurred about the issue Beds were comfortable and rooms were clean but there is very poor communication and organization of check in Breakfast situation also leaves a lot to be desired We will not be returning For the price you can stay at a full service hotel in the area with just as much charm

Started off not so great – I had to contact the owner for check-in instructions because they were never provided to meThe day we arrived it was mid-70s and the temperature in the place was set to 74! I called & texted the phone number provided to see if the thermostat could be adjusted

3 hours later and I get a text saying someone would be there shortly to turn the heat off Never did I receive a follow up communication, so I’m not entirely sure if anything was fixed Thankfully the rest of the weekend was cooler weatherLastly, when check-out time came I had to text the owner again to ask what to do since no instructions were provided Communication doesn’t seem to be their strong suit here(Don’t expect much from the “breakfast” either, it was a couple yogurts and apples in the fridge)

I’m familiar with Airbnb more than hotels and B&B We stayed here mid October This is a cross between a guesthouse and Airbnb

On site parking is a plus Host reached out ahead for self check in information — arrival time, entry codes, kitchen privilege, etca big plus! There’s a revolving crew patrolling the inn and replenishes the pantry and quickly greets guestsbut no real reception desk It’s partially renovated but is showing its age We didn’t dare touch the windows Fortunately, ambient temperature was comfortable as is Very nice decor Comfy bed and clean bathroom Well stocked kitchen for diy breakfast, snacks, refreshments including wine, beers, juice Good value for us We appreciate the extra spaces to lounge instead of being cooped up in hotel rooms
