They staff was very accommodating They were quick to assist with any request we had The check in and out process was seamless

I gave 4 stars because, I guess based on timing, the pool and laundry facilities were being renovated I had to go to a sister hotel for these amenities Other than that I plan to stay again if the pool and laundry renovations are complete

Sam Ferguson

Overall it was an okay experience It accomplished the goal of a bed to sleep while passing through townHowever, we had a difficult time getting into the building upon our late night arrival

Spent around 30 minutes trying to knock/call/get anyone to let us in We even went to the hotel behind them to ask them if they could help She offered to call them for us but also didn’t get an answer I think we caught them on a bad night with high prices and poor service I would only stay if the rate matched the quality and unfortunately we paid close to the max rateFyi – Room 322 might be missing a carbon monoxide and smoke detector too

Bob Sorey

Room 217 Less than basic – Tv didn’t work Only one towel and nothing else in entire room Really basic for $168 – i can handle a hotel that needs a renovation but this one – 🙄🤦🏻‍♂️🤮 Should have expected something when an email arrived and said if you arrive after 7 doors locked and your reservation subject to cancellation – call this number 🤷🏼‍♂️🎤🥃

I’ve stayed at the Memphis location when in the area for the 25 years I stayed here on 5/2/22, getting a reservation was once again a ridiculous hassle

Once there we got the room directly across from the staff supply room, in and out slamming the door a lot I had to use the pull out bed, terrible mattress and could feel the bar the whole time I was laying on it I called the front desk to get bedding for the pull out, “yeah come get it” was the reply I go get it from the front desk, when I start making my bed I notice the blanket is really thin I call the front desk again and ask for another blanket, again I get “yeah come get it” I go back to the desk, and then have to follow the employee back to the door across from my room and wait for them to get me another blanket! There was no conditioner in the shower, this isn’t the first stay that something soap wise has been non-existent When I first started coming to Memphis for doctor appointments, staying here was nice and I couldn’t say enough good things I don’t know what happened in the last year and a half but I will not be coming back Service, bed, supplies left much to be desired

Our AC went out and we were looking for an affordable place to take myself, my fiancé, his cousin, and our cat I called ten hotels and each one was full until I called Sonesta They said they had a room available, and when we drove there, Michael was a great help

He checked us in quickly and was very kind to us when he learned about our situation He ensured that we were in a very comfortable, air-conditioned suite The room was extremely comfortable, and at an affordable price, too Will definitely be staying here again!

Mitch Morgan

A few weeks ago, I booked a stay for 19 nights at this location on their corporate website Upon arrival, I was told my reservation did not exist even after showing a confirmation email What made the situation worse was the rudeness I encountered at the front desk

The lady had a horrible attitude, did not care about my situation, and basically told me to kick rocks After reading reviews, I should have avoided this location in the first place I emplore you to do the same as well

It’s such a wonderful place to stay, clean rooms, reasonably priced, but the staff is what makes this place 5 stars! As soon as you walk in, you can feel the warmth The restaurant was good, nothing to write home about, but again, the staff is so wonderful, I ate there twice There are plenty of food choices close by, that’s why I really can’t ding the hotel itself

There’s also Top Golf simulators in the lobby, nice little something to do when you come back for the night

Rooster and the Mench

Very nice stay, i actually booked a 3 night after staying 2, it was a great hotel, with great staff I wish it was closer to the things i was in town forI loved the pool, going in the morning we had to pool to ourselves

It was great

An older hotel with limited services The bar is closed Your not allowed to hang out in the lobby/bar area after 9p

m which is inconvenient to say the least when your traveling with a soccer team Some of the rooms had refrigerators but no microwaves Some rooms have microwaves but no refrigerators Some have neither Not sure if the rooms were actually cleaned since there was a used towel still hanging on the bathroom door! Yikes!!

King Of Spades

Very nice hotel and it was in the perfect location as well Close to restaurants and the highway Only thing we were a little disappointed with is the hotel bar and restaurant being shut down

We were sad to find that out on arrival that the bar was not opened That was one of the reasons we booked a room here Overall the hotel was very nice Great staff

Homewood Suites exceeded our expectations We loved how large the room was and the fact that the bedroom was a separate room from the living/kitchen area The room was very clean and the staff were extremely welcoming and friendly

We also loved all of the many options at breakfast in the morning My girls enjoyed the pancakes and sausages! There were also bagels, cereal, eggs, potatoes, etc If I’m ever in the area again, I would definitely choose this location to stay the night

Rita Navarro Levy

I went in the hotel room with my kids and it smelled super bad, the room was extremely dirtyWe found hair inside the refrigerator, food on the floor at our beds, and between other things We chose this hotel because the pictures they showed had a basketball court and when I asked about it they told me that they didn’t have it for years but they didn’t remove it from the website, so this is not honest to put something that they don’t have to offer

I opened the sofa bed and found many bandages with human excrements/feces stains The staff was amazing but the hotel is the worst place I’ve been with my family

J C

Upon check in, Sherman was extremely friendly, helpful and welcoming Area nice, safe and plenty of food and shopping options nearby As soon as we stepped out of the elevator on 2nd floor you can smell how clean it is kept

The room was great, bed comfortable and breakfast was kept replenished with nice choices to start the morning Every employee we passed were friendly and spoke to us Couldnt ask for a better experience I travel to memphis for business every month and will be staying here if it is in the allowed work budget One of the best hotels we have stayed at and we travel quite often

This stay was one of the wildest hotel experiences of my life I’ve never walked into a hotel and not been able to find an employee at the front desk There were several people waiting in the lobby to be helped but there wasn’t a single employee around for several minutes

One of the other customers who was waiting started calling the front desk and offices but no one answered Finally someone came out and offered no apology or explanation; I understand that places are understaffed but management should train them to at least acknowledge that and apologizeWhen we got to our room, which was the Executive Suite, it was really bare bones with very little bedding and blankets and half a roll of toilet paper We ran out of toilet paper after 4 trips The breakfast situation is bizarre and you have to pay extra to get hot food You purchase a breakfast “ticket” to present at the breakfast barThe last girl who got us more toilet paper was extremely friendly and helpfulI know employees are underpaid and thus businesses are understaffed so Holiday Inn needs to work that out and perhaps offer better pay in order to attract employees in order to be adequately staffed I’ve never had a bad experience at a HI until now

Chad

Feels like an older hotel that has been recently renovated/updated Rooms are nice There’s also some meeting rooms and event spaces if you need that sort of thing

There’s an on-site pool, but I didn’t check it outKey cards for the rooms are finnicky They frequently stop working The guy at the front desk told us you can’t get them anywhere near a cell phone or similar electronics or it wipes them That doesn’t sound very practical in 2022 Maybe get better key card tech?Breakfast is weird If you want hot breakfast you have to have some voucher Otherwise, it’s cold breakfast only If those vouchers weren’t included with your room you can buy them (Though, if I’m paying for breakfast then I am just going to go to a legit full service restaurant) It seems to mostly create confusion and anger among the guests (just read the other reviews) So, I’m not sure what they were thinking Just provide hot breakfast to *ALL* of your guests and adjust room rates accordingly DuhFinally, to the d-bags who feel the need to park their long trucks and pick-ups with trailers sideways across 8 parking spots Could you maybe not do it right by the door? That’s rather selfish and obnoxious

Just now leaving Hotel did a great job There was a couple sports teams in town and staff was kind, courteous, and engaged with everyone

Seemed to be doing well to keep everyone happy, including other guests like usQuite overpriced hotel in my opinion but seemed to be mostly because of the particular night we happened to be going through town

Stayed here for a week, and the stay was just average overallPros:1 Good location in terms of access to restaurants, stores, etc

2 Friendly, and attentive staffCons:1 Overall cleanliness of hotel wasn’t up to the typical Holiday Inn standard Carpets on my floor were grimy, and there were several spills that didn’t appear to have been cleaned2 While breakfast was included in the stay, there was none available throughout the stay The night of checking in, I was told breakfast would be available from 6 AM However, the next morning, the lobby was completely empty and I was told ‘the staff didn’t show up’ so there wasn’t any breakfast! At a minimum, at least coffee could have been made available in the lobby – but that wasn’t the case

Lily Fluharty

Our stay here wasn’t bad, but there were some unfortunate issues with our room Our first room the heating/cooling wasn’t working When we told the front desk, they got us a new room which was great! While the cooler worked in this new room we had some other issues

the shower door would not close, there were crusty stains all over the carpet, and the shades were brokenOverall, the staff was very friendly and accommodating, and the location wasn’t horrible, but the rooms weren’t great

We checked in late and checked out early We got there and went straight to the pool/hot tub The indoor pool is literally a joke

It’s like a kiddy pool So small 4 people in the pool and that was too many We were on the other end of the pool and being splashed by 2 kids on the other end That’s how small it was The smell of chlorine will knock you down when you step on the pool room No coffee offered in the mornings, unless you want to buy their Starbucks coffee Bed was so hard, pillows are stuffed so full They hurt my face I had to sleep on a wadded up blanket Dead bugs in the floor It just wasn’t a good experience Won’t stay here again

Connie M. Winter

My four night stay was not pleasant My room was scheduled to be cleaned every other day, but was not cleaned even upon request My garbage was overflowing

I called for it to be taken out and was told to put it out side my door It sat there for 24 hours and when they emptied it the afternoon before I was to leave they left the cans in the hallway I asked for clean towels and they told me to place my dirty towels in the hall and come to the desk to get towels They did not change my sheets or clean I have never stayed anywhere in the USA or other places in the world that had such poor service It appeared as though no one wanted to work

Jamie Watkins

The location is so great! You walk out into a town center mall! Granted, we all know the economy, and its effects on malls, but it’s still shopping! The hotel is your typical mid- level Courtyard Marriot There is a Starbucks served coffee bar/food in the lobby in the mornings, only Finally, hotels need to start installing filled shampoo/conditioner bottles in their showers 🚿

The hotel has a strange scent My first impression- The room walls were dirty the rugs have dirt in the corners and everything was dusty even the bathroom The bathroom sink and tub had rust inside the basin and along faucets and the closet was dirty too

My husband requested housekeeping to clean the room but nobody showed up to clean The halls of this hotel was not better because there is dirt smudges on the walls and stains on the rugs and trash littered on the floor and inside the elevators The elevator buttons are even nasty and need to be scrubbed Compared to the Knoxville Hilton Garden we stayed in last night the Memphis Hilton Garden is a Super 8 motel The cable in the room even disconnected and never resumed after 2 hours of checking in the room If you enjoy cleanliness, comfort, quality, or quiet avoid this hotel Furthermore, there aren’t many food options available in the area

Stephen Adelman

Wont stay here again, they only have one working elevator, the one that dose work doesn’t work properly They don’t have enough luggage carts, and it seemed like people held them in the rooms to have them for check out in the morning When we called and asked for one more pillow they said they were all out

It just seemed like excuse after excuse with the front desk, and when we brought all the issues we had up at check out All we got was a sorry hope you have a better experience next time!

Kim Clay

I stayed at the Hilton this past weekendI was not able to get an early check in but when I got there after 4:00, my room was ready It was clean kind of stuffy

The rose looks fairly new I was exhausted when I got there Normally, I have a problem laying in somebody else’s bed Last night I slept so good I woke up this morning feeling good I wanted to give a review because when I see that there’s good service I want others to know the only problem I really had is that I couldn’t get my water hot hot And then my toilet wouldn’t go down I called the front desk they sent maintenance up He did what he needed to do Kudos to Hilton and Crew

A bit premature as I’m posting this as we’re settling in; but, I’m impressed!Cleanliness isn’t superb (found a penny on the floor in our room), but no funny smells and bathroom is obviously well sanitized—not a single hair in sight (my biggest pet peeve)Most importantly: the customer service I made a mistake during the booking/check-in process

Shelby took great care of us and quickly got us in a room despite my errorMy toddler has been looking forward to this trip for a chance to swim, so we’re off to the pool!

Dane Coffey

First of all, I understand that a hotel cannot totally control the actions of other guests So the little league team running through the halls at 10pm isn’t their fault However, I was very surprised how much noise I could hear from regular activity in such a new hotel

I could hear every footstep in the hallway I could hear every move the people upstairs made Not, stomping or throwing, just walking and setting things down on the floor I could hear footsteps in the hallway upstairs My wife and I slept terribly I mentioned it to the desk in the morning and they said we weren’t the first to mention it We were offered free breakfast at our next stay or 5,000 Hilton points

G Roberson

I am here now staying in a 2 queen room on the 1st floor Over all the hotel appears nice aesthetically The #1 most important thing & why I have them 1 star

The beds in our room are hard as a rock and so are the pillows I could over a lot of things as I’m not horribly picky but a hard uncomfortable bed isn’t one of them Tonight and 2 more nights of these horrible beds and pillows makes me dread the rest of our trip visiting family and I just got here I expect soooooo sooooo much more out of Hilton than this I could have stayed at cheaper motels and got a better bed My 1st and last time ever staying here I’ll stick to the place down the street that I’ve stayed before and was comfortable As a Hilton honors member I trusted Hilton to be better

Very clean, lovely place Staff was very polite and helpful Breakfast was good with hot and carry away options

They were very fast about cleaning in between each guest It’s not often you go to a hotel and there isn’t any kind of odor, good or bad It was just neutral and clean Bed was comfortable We stayed in the handicapped room and it had all of the accommodations needed

Delanna Neely

Friendly staff, Jessica was excellent After having a horrible experience at a different hotel, she was able to get my family off 6 in with 2 adjoining rooms Upon arriving we checked in with Chad

He was also excellent and very warm Rooms were very clean Breakfast was good We will no longer be staying at the previous hotel We have switched over to Marriott!!!

Michael Nehrkorn

This is a decent option for business travelers or families looking to stretch their dollars while traveling This is a newer property, so everything is pretty well kept and in working order The front desk employees all were helpful and greeted me warmly each day

Nice TV’s, mini fridges, and modern decor/bathrooms in the rooms Have realistic expectations, don’t expect this to be the Ritz Carlton, and it will be a sufficient option for many

We booked this hotel based off the reviews that stated it was clean, in a great location, and recently renovated Upon arrival I was greeted by a very nice and helpful gentleman at the front desk He gave me the keys to my rooms and we headed up

Once I entered the first room I began to do an inspection of the room before we got settled I noticed the bathroom floors were stained and mold was in the corner of the walls I then noticed lint and thread from someone clothing on the bathroom floor as well as hair in the sink The bathroom also smelled like urine I went back to the front desk and asked to be moved to another room The gentleman at the front desk stated the floors were like that due to the tile that was used when the hotel was renovated 🤔 he then gave me keys to two rooms and asked me to go check them out I went and chose room 313 Once my husband and son came we began to inspect that room starting with the beds as always As we were spraying the bed with disinfectant we noticed the mattress pad was stained with what seemed to be urine and blood My husband then took the mattress pad off and revealed a very horrific sight There was a huge bodily fluid stain on the mattress We then took the mattress pad off the other bed and revealed more stains I was horrified Although I always check hotel beds for bed bugs I have NEVER found anything until this day I was so upset and horrified until I could not stop shaking I headed back to the front desk where the gentleman looked at my pictures and stated “the mattresses are old” and “this is why we have mattress pads” I was baffled at his response He then issued me a full refund and we had to search for another hotel Mind you this is the weekend of Univ of Memphis graduation, high school prom, and Mother’s Day I will be contacting cooperate about this issue and now I’m wondering are the reviews that show up are real🤔

My family was in Memphis for a memorial for our Mother and the staff was so kind and helpful They went above and beyond to make our stay pleasant The hotel was clean, quiet, and had gathering areas inside and outside as well as by the pool for us to gather together as we came from all over the US

Some of us had late flights and they helped the folks late in the night get settled with their rooms, snacks and drinks Ditas was so helpful arranging a group of rooms for us Victoria who worked days when we were there (7/8/22-7/10/22) seemed to anticipate whatever we needed and appeared instantly to help us I was not able to read the name tag of the woman who worked overnight, but she was also very helpful getting my niece and her daughter settled as their flight was delayed The bistro is available to purchase Starbucks brand coffee and breakfast type items Customer service was excellent The only thing I would suggest is that when it is time to replace linens that they get softer towels as they were quite scratchy Hate to complain about anything for this trip, but keeping my glowing review real!

Only stayed for 1 night and honestly I choose places based on our needs and reviews So I was a little confused with my experience We were placed in the only room available based on my call to the hotel when I was inquiring about if dogs were accepted

Our room was on the 2nd floor and there was a noticeable foul odor immediately when we got off the elevator Room was acceptable, had a kitchenette but we didn’t need it The absolute WORST thing was the toilet did not properly flush It would fill up to the point I thought it would overflow and slowly drain It seemed like strong enough pressure to actually flush the toilet paper down but didn’t My husband and I had to use the public bathrooms downstairs, even in the middle of the night SO that’s why I give it a 1 star rating It was good enough to tolerate for 1 night but it was not comfortable And before management responds and ask why I didn’t say anything, would you after getting settled in with your pet and being told it was the last room available after booking through a third party site for a better price for a non-refundable $250 a night? The lady at check-in was nice but at checkout the women was on the phone the entire time, conversation wasn’t with a potential customer The situation could have been understandable if it was about the hotel as she was the only one working at the desk It’s a little rude in my opinion

This place could have gotten another star perhaps, but for one service elementI was looking for a room while on the road, never a fun thing to do Unbeknownst to us it was Spring Break and ball tournament season, so rooms were hard to find

This La Quinta had a vacancyWe checked in, but we only needed a place to sleep for about four hours before leaving again They did not offer, more give us when we requested, a discounted rate for partial useThis has never happened before at any chain If I’m checking in at 2:30 am and leaving at 6:30, I’ve usually gotten a consideration and not been charged full priceBut I guess with all the guaranteed traffic for this season, they could charge the maximum amount, so they didThe amenities were fine and very comfortable Large suite with warm bedding and spacious seating area Definitely four stars for what they offered, but too profit minded to help customers get rest on an emergency tripI try not to be negative on my reviews, but other travelers need to be aware

I’m so happy! This is a great hotel!! Kirti at the front desk went above and beyond to help me and my family feel at home! I was nervous about this long trip and finding a nice hotel in a city I’ve never been to The floors were being mopped when we arrived and it smelled nice and clean, the room was big and also very clean Nice linens too! Totally worth it to pay a bit more than the other hotels in the area to get this high level of quality! I’ll stay here every time I’m passing through

Thank you so much! I wish every hotel I stayed in was like this!Ps Edited to say: breakfast was actually nice and our 2 dogs really enjoyed the walk, there’s a long grass section the entire length of the building in the back, and a little station with potty-baggies right as you walk out the back door Love it!

I am giving this hotel only one star due to several reasons First and foremost was the fact that the fire alarm went off and the hotel staff, which appears to have been only one person, did not check that every guest was out of the hotel safely They should have a better system in place for notifying guests so that no one gets left behind if there is a real emergency

We were all lucky that it happened to be a false alarm I’m sure this happens a lot at hotels Someone burning popcorn or smoking in the room Needless to say that this alarm was caused by the people in the room next to mine who were up all night partying and smoking So apparently since no one reported the noise of the party it is the other guests fault that the alarm went off It’s our fault the alarm went off, that does not make sense How are the other guests supposed to know what someone is doing in their room It’s like saying the hotel staff should have known so they shouldn’t be paid because they didn’t do their job I don’t expect the hotel to give anyone anything free But I do expect them to be a little more compassionate to their guests But I am under the impression that this particular hotel or the staff at the time did not care about anything They were just a robot making money When you have a grandchild that is unique it takes a lot of time to get them to sleep Things that are easy for everyone else to deal with, like noises and emotions, if very difficult for my grandchild After all is said and done all I asked for was a little compassion from the hotel and they could not assist So we had to leave at 3:00 am in the morning to find somewhere else to stay This is one hotel I will never visit againOther than this one experience with this hotel, the rooms were clean, the check in staff was very friendly and helpful, the pool was a little cloudy Not as clear as it should be The part of the hotel I did see seemed clean

I read some of the previous reviews and I’m glad to say we did not have any issues during our stayJames at the front desk was very courteous and helpful checking us inWe did have to sign a waiver for ‘no parties’ and be responsible for $500 if we broke it which I completely agree with since hopefully it solves a lot of the previous issues

Room was exceptionally clean and stocked of all toiletriesThe bed was very comfortable and the sheets were very soft We slept like babiesBEWARE: It did smell like weed at some occasions It never really bothered us since it was confined to the elevator mostly

Im beyond upset with the way our family was treated at this hotel I am the chairperson for our family reunion and blocked many rooms here at home2suites We were all excited about staying here because it’s in a great location

The staff here waited until check in time to start calling several family members to inform us about our room We were told that they had construction going on in the hotel and that we had to get a king with a let out couch or cancel free of charge Remember we’re from out of state, many of our family members drove 11 hours just to get there You would think with a large group booking 10 plus room that we would have been better accommodated I explained to the guys at the front desk that we were quoted $129 for a king and $139 for a double They said because of our special rate that we couldn’t get it for $129 and that the rooms are much higher now This large group agreement was done back in March, the reunion was July 8-10 I really wish the hotel would called me before check in time, my family and I would have booked elsewhere The repair had been going on for some time long before that week

We travel a good bit We almost always stay at Hampton Inn and other Hilton Hotels I can say our stay at this location has been the best

The manager, Miranda, has been extremely helpful, sorting out changes to one of our reservations and modifying another without incident She has proactively met our every need And the breakfast was excellent too! Cleanliness is obvious in all areas of the property

Bethanie N

Overall, the place was great! Room was clean, breakfast was great, people very friendly The second floor room location we had was not so great The ice machines were so loud right by the elevators at close to 2 o’clock in the morning

People could be heard talking out in the halls If you can sleep through the train horn blasting every hour or so during the night, this is the place for you!If you are a light sleeper, probably not the best place for you, if you need a good restBut other than the noise issues, it’s a good place to stay

Beatrice Bradford

Every day needed key cards changed, the microwave kept shorting out, too many different hands trying to make it work Concerned about covid/monkey pox because so many people trying to make it work, notified managers Small children without parents trying to work waffle irons

On child dropped top, luckily didn’t get burned Need signs or something saying parental supervisor needed

I’ll start by saying the front desk attendants were super friendly In all other aspects I don’t know how this hotel has such a high rating All of the fixtures looked like they hadn’t been wiped down in months

There was hair in the shower and sink when we arrived It just felt dirty Breakfast was a big disappointment There was some fruit, milk, juice, cereal, oatmeal, bagels, and toast, nothing filling I expected a lot more from the other reviews and the price

Caesar Alarcon

I checked in about 1:30 PM I never ask for a early check in The Hyatt I ask for a early check in Waco, Texas

They had no rooms available When we arrived in Memphis the hotel clerk wanted to charge me for a early check in I refusedI didn’t ask for this early check in Anyway your car is not safe in the parking lot The room was good The air conditioner work good The room has a sofa There also a refigerator in the room The shower was good

Tashala Williams

Upon arrival, we were greeted by Nikita I requested a double if it was available and my request was honored Everyone was nice and prompt with any requests

We were there with a semi large group and a another large group was also there My only complaint was there was only one elevator in operation and the hotel was jammed pack Otherwise I will be staying again Sonya was also really sweet when checking out
