Wow! Where to start?! This hotel is absolutely stunning We cannot express enough how wonderful their staff is as well They went above and beyond to correct a minor inconvenience and were extremely helpful with returning an item back to me that was left at the hotel

The pool, bar, spa, rooms, atmosphere, etc are just top notch You couldn’t ask for more My husband and I enjoyed every second of our stay and we are looking forward to getting back to the Four Seasons soon Again, the staff is just fantastic and we highly recommend this beautiful hotel 11/10!

Thu-Nga Ortega, DDS, MAGD

Wow, this hotel is amazing and customer service is top notch! There’s always a service person in the hallway almost anytime you open your door to provide you with anything you may need in your room They also have ice service to your room which is a plus There is bed turndown service as well

The bathroom has the best shower with strong pressure! The closet is like a changing area which is nicely separated front the bedroom area Everything is super plush here only suggestion is that they provide better toilet paper in the rooms Considering how upscale this hotel is, this is definitely a must

Taylor Weese

Posting on behalf of a friend who was too shy to do so – the hotel itself and service is lovely and exceed expectations The elevators, or should I say elevator, needs to be assessed and addressed How can such a luxurious hotel think the current system works? The amount of people and floors and what are labeled “smart” elevators create an unnecessary wait for a simple trip

Desperately needs improvement If they’re going to have two for the whole hotel, at least make sure they both work all the time! Otherwise fantastic

A wonderful experience from beginning to end

Communication was excellent, and our suite was just beautiful Big windows, well heated, nicely furnished, and spotless It was really like a studio apartment We were within walking distance of many restaurants So much better than staying in a chain hotel! We highly recommend Local Hotel-Fishtown

Marian McDermott

Spotless, beautiful and great location! We really enjoyed our stay at this “hotel” Easy entry, safe and a wonderful experienceThe only warning I have is that the steps were pretty steep inside our apartment

It was fine for us, but for anyone with limited mobility, the steps might not be desirableWe would stay here again in a heartbeat

Shawn Green

We stumbled across Lokal looking for a place to stay for a rowing competition on the Schuylkill river We only stayed overnight but can’t compliment the place enough It was super clean, extremely well appointed and very comfortable

Parking for the hotel is a paid lot about a block away and at the time of this review was $25 overnight We had a 2 bedroom on the third floor This is a converted older building so I didn’t see an elevator If you have a mobility issue I’d reach out to the staff before booking If I were coming back to Philly, this would be near the top of my list of places to stay

I have to admit I was a bit skeptical at first when I walked in because it is not at all your typical hotel It’s basically a residential townhouse that was converted into a guest hotel There was no elevator and Although it wasn’t ideal carrying 3 bags up to the 3rd floor, once I got there I was quite content

The room was spacious, the bed was huge and it was very unique The antique decor was charming and it was pretty quiet It was an easy walk to city center and I managed to find parking right around the corner on the street One thing I will say was that the hotel was advertised with free parking on bookingcom That was false but I informed Brittany and I have faith she will take steps to correct that

This place is absolutely AMAZING!! I can honestly say that I have NOTHING bad to say at all in any way shape or form! It’s beautiful! It’s got an Amazing view of the Philly skyline from the Summer Breeze Suit! The area is very safe day and night We parked our car at a parking garage and walked everywhere all different hours I have NEVER stayed anywhere nicer to be honest! I think, for the area you are in and the beauty of this place the price is just right! If your looking for a place to stay that you can enjoy a TRUE Philly experience, this is it!I highly recommend this place!!! It is near many restaurants, bakeries, bars, shopping

Literally everything! There is a kitty there that I do believe lives with the woman on the first floor He occasionally comes out and roams around He’s a sweet little man and he will gladly show you to your room Such a sweet little fella! That was definitely a pleasant surprise!Brittany is a very sweet person She is who I dealt with before and after my trip I initially wanted to rent the pink room , however, It was unavailable due to remodeling So Brittney worked something out and we stayed in (what I now can say) the BEST room! She definitely hooked us up for sure! She is awesome!!I recommend using the spothero app for parking It’s super easy, we parked on Washington Ave I also definitely recommend the Morning Glory Diner for breakfast It’s just down the street and awesome!!

Billie Jay

We rented the Skytop room as an overflow during a family vacation The location could not have been better Just a 5 min walk from where my grandchildren live

Communication with Barbara and Brittany was excellent and the decor was so charming, reminiscent of a bed and breakfast from long ago with all the antiques There is a lovely garden that we visited but never really took advantage of that I would highly recommend for drinking your coffee or an evening glass of wine

Beautiful hotel Rooms are spacious and very clean Incredible views from the window of my room: the Pittsburgh clock tower—the tallest Masonry structure (582 feet) without a steel frame

The lobby is stunning The staff of courteous and accommodating One improvement that can be made is to the breakfast menu The cooking is a little bit bland

Ken Yeh

Don’t forget to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏᴄᴏm when booking any resort This site will compare countless booking websites and typically will have prices much cheaper than others! Thank me later! This resort is one of the highest rated in this area

I’ve been coming here for a long time If you decide to stay here you for sure will love it I’m sure!Amazing service Recently stayed one night for my wife’s birthday, and we had a mixup with our reservation Long story short, The Ritz gave us a complimentary upgrade to a nicer suite after hearing our struggles Great place, Great Service, and they have a high attention to detail

B M

I’m shocked that this property is still running under the Ritz-Carlton brand in the condition it is I am limiting my feedback to only things that CAN be immediately addressed by hotel management (and shows that they have wholeheartedly failed to perform their job):1- Rooms: peeling wallpaper, condensation stains near the AC vent, broken/loosely put together nightstands, no turndown service, flat out dirty room There were such thick dust spots on the bed frame that I’m led to believe that the room was not properly cleaned for months

Disgusting I wish I could add a picture to this review (I asked to change rooms once and the second room was in the same condition)2- Service: no acknowledgement of Marriott status/upgrades/benefits during check-in, doorman was 9 out 10 times chit chatting or not around to greet/open doors/help with luggageBased on the numerous reviews (which I failed to read before coming), the feedback above is not news to management So my assumption is that they simply don’t care (wonders of the tight job market?)I’m refraining from commenting on how dated the rooms are as the local management relies on corporate to carry on a complete property overhaul But as I pointed out earlier, all specific service and room feedback can be addressed locallyFellow business (and leisure) travelers: if you’re looking for a 5 star hotel, go to the Four Seasons This hotel is simply a Marriott-brand 3* establishment with the Ritz namePS: the lobby is nice, though

Miranda Hendricks

The only reason I’m giving it 2 stars, was because of the staff Very friendly and very helpful in everything The room itself though? Not up to par

We have stayed here before and it was fine, but this time we did not have an ice bucket, no cups, no hair dryer, one drawer for 2-3 people, minimal counter space, it was just a place to sleep and shower, but still should feel comfortable We ultshower payed $500+ for a room with a cool mirror and soap and shampoo built into the shower

matt krause

I had to stay here close to 2 weeks because immediate family had covid The staff is wonderful, even tho we’re still following some covid restrictions, housekeeping would turn down the room if you request it but won’t touch it while you’re staying Which I appreciated

There is a restaurant connected through the lobby, but it totally acts like it’s own separate space Live music on the weekends! Amazing food, met the executive chef! I had to thank him for the amazing food and menu he made! I stayed 12 nights and 13 days and I ate here an easy 8-9 nights! I can’t find one thing wrong! Rooms were exceptionally clean, easy to use appliances, TV, shower, lights, etc All the staff were helpful I mean if you’re going to stay somewhere, this is the place

Michael Szubrowski

The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful Checking in was pleasant The room was very nice, modern with a lot of outlets, fast WiFi, even a Bluetooth speaker in the bathroom

I enjoyed the bed and slept well The desk and chair were also helpful to work when needed I did like the grab and go breakfast option but I had thought generally breakfast was included with Holiday Inn One big issue I found is that the pool was closed, and apparently has been for some time In the middle of the summer in New Jersey, especially with temperatures near 100 degrees, that is not acceptable Additionally two of the nights I did not have hot water, so at least I was able to cool off in the shower since the pool was closed The AC worked great at night, but room did get warm during the day, not much of an issue because I was elsewhere for the most part then The location was decent, even able to walk to several restaurants and the nearby park, also very close to many nearby places by car also

I’ve stayed at many hotels in my life (including The Eden Resort), and my stay at The Maj in Philly was by far the best experience I’ve ever hadThe pillows are the BEST pillows I’ve ever slept on in my LIFE! Dante was helpful to my boyfriend in booking the reservation India was helpful at check-in and showing us how to use the mirror

The woman who checked us out today was very courteous and asked about our stay It was very clean and comfortable The shower experience was very relaxing They have a lot of technology in the rooms too, including a Smart Mirror in the bathroom and a button to draw the curtainsDefinitely the most positive experience at a hotel

Pedro Reyes

When I selected this hotel, I selected it for its pet policy (I have a dog) and it’s proximity to the eastern state Penitentiary I had zero expectations of a good stay in downtown Philadelphia That being said, I was absolutely shocked with the quality of the facility – the rooms are all smart rooms with a ton of exceptional features I don’t typically find even in more expensive places, with everything from climate control to the smart mirror in the bathroom being controlled by your phone

In addition, the staff were an absolutely incredible breath of fresh air I’ve stayed in hundreds of hotels and resorts and the staff here around the clock were some of the most professional, helpful, and courteous people I’ve ever had the pleasure of dealing with on a vacation Miss India, Sia, Maddie, in particular were available at all times and helpful 100% of the time If I had a question or a problem, they had a solution or an answer almost instantly 10/10 would stay at this place happily and I have no intention of ever staying anywhere else when I come to the area

Sara Jane

Clean, modern Hi-Tech boutique hybrid hotel The over all ambiance is sleek and minimalistic while still being tasteful and intimate Quality cotton bedding, towels and robes

Comfortable high end pillows and mattress Smart room features allow you to control the thermostat, TV, lights, blinds and door lock from your phone while the bathroom has a smart mirror It’s a short walking distance from museums, attractions and several great restaurants There is no parking or valet at this time and that was our only minor inconvenienceI highly recommend this hotel

Our room was 920 To close to highway

didn’t sleep the 4 days/nights we were there Went for my hubby’s New Jersey Ship reunion The guys had plenty of fun Just the rooms by the highway where awful Plus you can hear what your neighbors are doing and saying Not good!!! But to have my hubby happy and being able to see his ship matesthank you See you in 3 yrs

Brittany Hart

Room was dirty, hair in shower, dust all over, disgusting “spray” on the headboard They refunded me a $100 But we couldn’t shower & we slept at the end of the bed

It is a gorgeous view but was very disappointed with how dirty it was for the money If I had the money to get a different hotel, I would of The staff was super friendly though For hundreds of dollars for one night, I should of been able to shower & sleep normally!

Checking in was a Breeze ( I had called 1 time prior to this trip to line everything out) feather free pillows because of down allergies in the family This hotel got it right The warm reception from from the nice lady at front desk had me feeling like VIP!!! Thank you for that (Should be commended by upper management) (+1star)The room upon arrival smelled clean and IS clean

We had a short stay here to visit the Athletic Trainer convention at the convention center The layout of the smaller king was quaint and efficient (+1 star)The exhaust fan was kinda odd at firstbut it kept the room nice and cool and masked outside city noise really well Surprised really The front desk staff every morning and evening was all smiles and very Friendly (+1 star) they should be commended for being awesome!Breakfast was pretty good especially with covid-19 protocols around [Eggs, muffins, waffles, cold cereal, oatmeal, yogurt] The food/cleaning/maintenance staff all very friendly and accommodating (+2 stars)This hotel location is easy to find and surrounding area has quite a few food/entertainment options within a short walk away (+1 star)I was pleasantly surprised how comfortable the beds were! Water pressure was good We enjoyed the visitWe will return!!Respectfully,The Smiths

Lindsey Ford

Be sure if you are staying longer term to get the bigger room When they say small they mean it In downtown Philly about two blocks from restaurants and within a mile of downtown attractions

The walls are very thin and you will be woke up every morning with housekeeping trying to walk into your room at 8:30 am (even with the do not disturb out) They slam the doors on all the other rooms around you so you will hear them coming When they do service the room, they will only make the beds & take dirty linens, not leave additional towels etc Breakfast is sandwiches heated in a microwave or lots of starchy items Fruit pickings were slim Highlight was the friendliness of the desk staff and the valet service They were great!

Steve Aupperle

The view from out room was a 12 out of 10 The room was very spacious and the beds were super comfortable The only reason I am giving this a 4 is because only one elevator was working and that was an issue a couple of times and there was a problem with water in the shower on the 12 floor for the first morning

It was taken care of by the second morning We had called the maintenance guy up because the bathroom door will lock if you shut the door a certain way He told us that the water thing happens occasionally With all that said I would stay here again

Very clean and historic Everything is near by so you can hit the night life and enjoy yourself My only issues were the tub, it’s so high so don’t climb in there if you cannot take a big step

Also the walls are very thin so prepare to hear your neighbors conversations Lastly it doesn’t have microwave, refrigerator or things like that but other than that I like this hotel

Rae Morse

From the moment I arrived the service was wonderful The gentleman at the front desk let me check in 4 hours early, which was so kind He suggested the restaurant on site, the Panarama, and it was amazing

The hotel stay is comfortable, they had coffee and muffins downstairs in the morning The bed was perfect The location was close to the subway station and many sightseeing spots I the building is a historical landmark I am very glad I picked this hotel

Stephanie Jacobs

I booked this hotel for a last minute visit to Philadelphia for Fourth of July We were so pleasantly surprised with the room and extremely happy with the accommodations It was clean, very cutely decorated, and the staff was extremely helpful

We have loved our stay! The entire staff has been incredibly friendly, attentive and made us truly feel like a valued guest The design of the hotel is beautiful and slick There are so many smart and stylish details in the rooms as well as the lobby spaces and bar

The gym is fantastic, love the selection and choices…even a plyo box Hats off to the team as a hotel design is one thing but it is the customer service that really makes a stay memorable Thank you

My sister and I stayed at Canopy this past weekend and it was the best experience ever! I rarely leave reviews, but I felt like I had to give this place a shout out Not only is the hotel gorgeous, but the staff is amazing! From the moment we pulled up the valet parking staff was very welcoming and accommodating Our check-in experience was great and the restaurant/bar staff were awesome as well

Very comfortable stay We didn’t use the kitchen but thought it was well-designed and would definitely be good as an option The location of the hotel was great for restaurants and fun

We took advantage of this and got to try out many good places around over the quick weekend getaway Breakfast in the morning was sufficient with yogurt, cereal, pastries, coffee and tea Our room was brand new with beautiful view of the city I loved the large bathroom, standard for Element hotels I also loved that they put more design elements into the room – comfortable bed, nice furniture, floor to ceiling windows Glad to see a “different” Element (in a good way) I didn’t get upgraded with my status Still a good option for staying in Philadelphia!

***Great location Great customer service Clean rooms with great views

*** Our room had a full kitchen and 2 queen beds It was perfect for our family It doesn’t have an on site restaurant HOWEVER it is literally walking distance from a million restaurants Next door at the W hotel, there are a couple of nice lounges to enjoy if you’re into the night life vibe The ONLY downfall is the only parking option the hotel has is valet for $60/day BUT if you’re not planning on going in and out with your vehicle and just walking the city that’s not a big deal They also have a nice gym and rent out bicycles too We will be staying here again

c wilson

I debated based off of the reviews However upon arrival from check in to check out everything was amazing! Thank you to Kevin and Nature for taking good care of us for breakfast!! Thank you Natalie for accommodating my request Our location and room was awesome! I love that they had purify drinking water in the room, that was amazing

I am very picky and everything went well from the valet parking to the rooms Valet parking is $60 per day We didn’t have any problems By the way they have a very nice gym and laundry room to wash your clothes if need be for $200 I will stay here again when we go to Philly again

There’s a cute Mexican restaurant and a cute rooftop bar to check as well I 100% recommend grabbing a coffee in the AM The coffee shop inside is so cute and the service is amazing! Lastly the coffee almost has this creaminess too it I can’t explain and I only had an American iced Definitely would stay again when in Philly!

Brett

Super location, great rates, excellent service Very comfortable bed, fun window seating (fun, not comfortable) w/nice city view, good bathroom Clean

Very thin walls and laminate floors but courteous neighbors overall Originally a “Pod” hotel but better as a Hilton In-house lobby cafe is interesting and decent enough that I would visit it on it’s own merits + it offers relatively generous Hilton elite breakfast benefit

Catherine

I booked for a long weekend in December I have no complaints The place was clean, the staff was incredibly nice and accommodating

Sure, the room was small, but I knew what I was booking when I looked the place up I only needed a bed and bathroom during my stay There was of course a TV as well as under the bed storage, a safe, and two drawers The bathroom was regular sized, had a very nice shower and there was a hair dryer as well This hotel is gorgeous and I enjoyed having a cafe inside the hotel I did not have any complaints during my stay Just make sure you do some research before booking any hotel, there’s no reason for people to be disappointed in what they didn’t get when none of it was advertised in the first place

The hotel staff was very pleasant! Everyone from the valet, bartender, front desk, and security were professional The room was clean and we enjoyed the water view from all of the windows We sat by the water and watched the ferry, paddle boats, jet skiers, and families

The location was an easy drive from the highway and great for walking to some local attractionsIt is a long walk form self parking to the lobby People with children, elderly, or a lot of luggage might need to use the valet

Front desk agent Sadat was very surly As I have worked in the hospitality as well as customer service field for 6 years, I’m very familiar with the professional and disposition a front desk agent should withhold His demeanor was very unpleasant, cold, and withdrawn

As a diamond member I know that accommodations that can be made as well as the empathetic values Hilton prides themselves on This man, holds not one of these qualities He was very rude to me and the guest before and after me I ultimately ended up canceling both of my reservations and going to a more pleasant Hilton location due to his attitude, unpleasantness, and the way i was treated at the front desk There was an issue with a credit card that could’ve easily been switched and well as room booking issues But after my short interaction with him, i decided to cancel the entire stay This was supposed to be a treat to my family after a rough patch in our lives and many deaths due to Covid-19 But i am absolutely never coming back here and i pray that no one else comes to this location for the same reasons i did and receive the treatment i have The location is beautiful but the staff needs improvement

The hotel was nice, but it lacked many amenities I found out once arriving that the executive lounge only had tea and coffee The tea was just bags of Lipton and the coffee was from a gas station style dispenser that you put your cup under and pushed the button

I was not given bottles of water that I usually get when staying and there was no water in the lounge either The front desk also stated that the restaurant is closed until the weekends and the breakfast available is a grab and go style The next morning I went to the table containing breakfast items and was asked if I would like to put it on my room I excused myself and confirmed that they did indeed honor the breakfast credits for diamond members They said they did so I had them add on a cappuccino and a breakfast sandwich Upon checking out I found that credits had not been applied to my stay for the breakfast items purchased

My siblings and I stayed at this hotel specifically for the location and proximity to historic district and tourism area We had no idea before booking that this hotel was as beautiful as it was; it was a pleasant surprise! Staff members were helpful and friendly Hotel rooms and common areas were clean, tidy, and welcoming

Bedding was soft and light Room temperature is easily controllable for optimal comfort The bathroom mirror is lit nicely, and there is a secondary mirror that can pull away from the wall, which was an amazingly helpful touch for doing makeup It may seem trivial, but these little things really add up There is ample space to drop off luggage upon arrival, and the parking garage is conveniently within a short walking distance I can’t wait to come stay again in the next month or so

This historic boutique hotel is exquisite Yes, the rooms are small but there was enough space to work when needed from the desk as well as delightful bed to rest on Oh my goodness, the bed felt so heavenly and I jwanted to instantly sleep when I laid on it

That bathroom was great and shower had nice hot pressure A great location for plenty of restaurants to try as well as walk to the pierThe staff was very hospitable and helpfulThe room is nice for solo trip or for a couple

This was a great hotel and we’ll be back! It’s conveniently located in Old City, within reasonable walking distance to Independence Hall, Liberty Bell, and a huge variety of restaurants and cafesThe rooms have been beautifully updated and although they are small, the space is well used and I didn’t feel crampedThe complimentary breakfast is pretty minimal, but they still had a good variety of options: fruit, yogurt, pastries, and Liberty Bell waffles (my nieces’ favorite part of our whole Philly trip!)Every single staff member we came in contact with was friendly and accommodating

I think my only real complaint was the hotel and general area around the hotel are not super kid-friendly It’s a historic building, granted, but our stroller literally didn’t fit through the front door Parking is a couple blocks away (which is typical in the city), which isn’t super ideal with kidsAlso not a lot of kid friendly cuisine directly around the hotel – it requires a bit of a walk, which is hard when the streets are busy and you have hungry kiddos Other than that, we loved our stay and we’d just prepare a little better next time to accommodate the needs of our younger travel pals

My husband and I just stayed a night at the Hyatt, and I’ve stayed before We loved it The staff are wonderful, the rooms clean and lovely, beautiful view, quiet, it’s a fantastic experience

Things some have complained about are either no issue for us, or things we like The sensor light under the bed was a welcome feature, and goes off right away – my husband was up several times during the night and it never woke me, but was of great help for him We like the toilet having it’s own separate space, no smelly showers!😂 And the sound from the air/heat in the toilet space minimal Love the complementary water, refrigerator, and keurig coffee maker nice also You need to turn onto Chancellor Street to unload All hotel parking is expensive downtown, we found a lot much cheaper that was a four minute walk away, something to consider And there are so – many – restaurants nearby, including incredible pizza across the street Highly recommended

We booked our wedding room block at the Hyatt Centric Philadelphia and had a great time We booked the big suite for ourselves and i was perfect for getting ready, hosting people for a glass (or bottle) of wine, and having plenty of space to stage stuffThe room block was good rates for the new hotel

We especially were very thankful to the doorman, Sean, who many guests said was very helpful throughout their trip He helped people find our shuttle in a difficult pickup location and was a great friendly face to see at all hours Stay there just for him!

In January, my cousins and I stayed at this hotel for a night during Christmas break vacation I definitely enjoyed staying at this hotel Our room was spacious, clean, and had a modern look

I was bit bummed about two things: price for overnight parking and expensive breakfast Parking at the hotel was a bit expensive and valet parking was the only option We tried to find nearby parking before parking at the hotel, but there was no availability elsewhere I wish the hotel served free breakfast, but I have to understand every hotel does not Overall, the customer service at the Hyatt was superb Everyone was sweet and made our night stay enjoyable There were so many restaurants and things to do near our hotel as well

Excellent experience at the LoganLocation – very close to the main attractions and directly in the middle of attractions Centrally located, so everything is within walking distance or a short cab ride away

Cleanliness – very clean; spot checked the bed and bathroom and it was spotless No finger marks on any of the glass and the amenities were all unusedService – very superior Acknowledged at the front desk by staff, recognized for my status, and they helped guide me to my room (thanks Cheryl!)Facilities – clean, spacious, and excellent for weddings Great fitness spaceOverall, very satisfied with this hotel It’s clean, the service is top notch, and the value is there Would stay here again for business or leisure

This is a wonderful hotel for every single type of trip I came here with my wife two years ago for Valentine’s Day and we had a wonderful time It was conveniently located with plenty of parking for drivers, a rooftop bar, and within walking distance from food, drinks, and sites

Fast forward two years and happenstance visit to Philly and google reminded me that we had stayed here beforeso we went with it again! This time, the Logan staff was the talking point, the evening manager was extremely respectful and accommodating We had reserved our room via a 3rd party vendor and unfortunately that room had already been booked The manager made the switch without a moment’s hesitation and got us a new room with a view The staff were quick with all our front office calls and even were able to store some food for us that needed to be in a freezer over night Want to thank the General Manager for adding the finishing touch the next morning when we checked out by offering us additional recommendations of places do go during our last hours in the cityIf you are in Philly you would be wise to book your stay here and put your mind at ease All around great experience at a really good price!
