Very nice hotel in the middle of Coronado The location is perfect, you can walk everywhere and has some nice restaurants and a great donut place! It does not have parking but it’s very easy to find safe, free street parkingThe reason why I’m giving 4 stars and not 5 is because there is live music and we could hear it in our room very loudly and the bathroom is quite small

However, it’s a very nice place, I recommend it and would stay here again

Edie Gilmore

The most important part of our staycation was to have a place we could truly relax and be able to cook our own meals El Cordova made that possible with a lovely kitchen We enjoyed the spaciousness of the room and the windows made the area seem even bigger

It is located up a small steep set of stairs but the on-duty manager offered and helped carry our luggage upbeyond our expectations

THE BEST SMALL WEDDING HOTEL IN ALL OF SAN DIEGO!!! If you are looking to keep your guests together in one ultra charming space, in the most beautiful location in Coronado, this is it!!! This historic hotel has been recently remodeled throughout and the immaculate rooms are absolutely delightful, and surround a wonderful Spanish courtyard Having stayed in the El Cordova several times, we knew it would make a great choice as our destination wedding hotel, as it is also reasonably priced, and we could not have been happier We booked about 25 rooms (in 2019) for the summer of 2020, but had to change the date multiple times because of the Covid pandemic

We were finally able to celebrate our daughter and son-in-law’s wedding in November of 2021 Over the course of 2 years, the hotel worked with our changing dates, and were patient, friendly, and encouraging throughout A big shout out to the manager, Tim, and his staff, Benny and Ivy, who all worked with us to accommodate the many details and kept us all organized for 2 full years! They were all such a pleasure to work with, along with the rest of the El Cordova staff We received many, many compliments from our guests, who came from all over the country, and very much appreciated our hotel choice They especially enjoyed the close knit feel of the small hotel, where they could easily gather, eat in the restaurant, and meet up in the beautiful courtyard For our celebration, we also booked the stunning Casa Grande Suite (with a full kitchen) and the guest rooms in a private section This was the best idea ever as it became the Wedding Hospitality Room, where we had the rehearsal dinner, welcome reception, and day after brunch The space was also used for all the girls to get ready in! The Casa Grande Suite served as the perfect gathering place where we all spent many hours together getting ready, and celebrating life and love with the bride & groom It is a great entertaining space and we also appreciated using the television for our photo slide show Having the Casa Grande Suite and private section made our choice to book the El Cordova just perfect! So now we have just the memories, but they will last a lifetime and we thank everyone at the El Cordova Hotel for being such a special part of our wedding weekend! From the Sanchez & Keneally Family, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts!!

Went here in April 2022 for my honeymoon Jade at the front desk was amazing The rest of the staff were also super nice

Every single one of them were super friendly The hotel itself was okay It did has a very nice view of the ocean with the boats The location was also pretty amazing The other option I had was downtown Here was able to get in and out with no problems, even with concerts at the entrance It was wonderfulThe room had a few spots that were damaged and the fireplace didn’t work all too well We had to mess around with it to get it to work a bitThe food was super expensive It was very expensive for what it was Was it good? I had the fries and draft gummy beer I did enjoy it, but I don’t know if I’d say it was worth the price But it was good The staff here were amazing tooOverall opinion: expensive I think what was my biggest issue was is that it didn’t match my lifestyle Staff were incredible

Jessica Maris

Beautiful room and hosted my best friends wedding! It was beautiful, friendly staff and amazing food Everything from the decor to the cake was lovely! The room for the couple was big and had a spectacular view of the marina I think everyone should have a tub like the one here ❤️ I will visit when I come back, the navel base was an awesome treat to hear and see

The planes fly over and you see some amazing ships The bay is beautiful with the downtown skyline gorgeous views

Erin Hylton

The resort was gorgeous and well appointed The view from our balcony was of the gorgeous Kona Kai marina, and it was very relaxing Inside the room was spacious, especially the bathroom shower

The Vessel Restaurant was a tasty spot we went to several times when we were there We got the breakfast package as I am a morning person, and it was scrumptious! The staff was courteous and helpful I highly recommend the resort

Ebru Alarslan

It is a very nice hotel in terms of location and service In addition to its convenient location to the airport, the marina view of the hotel is impressive Due to the pandemic period there are some constraints in some services

However, you would like to stay in such a nice hotel by considering professional service of reception and restaurants

Alicia Gonzalez

I am late in posting this reviewTo start from the service everyone was excellent! From the tome we checked in to the cleanings ladies to the parking attendantWe stayed here on the weekend of January 14

Me and my husband were Celebrating our 42nd anniversaryThe room was clean and the bed very comfortableWe had a great room with a beautiful view to the bay and Downtown San Diego

Les Sarantinos

Let’s just say

this property is all about location and that’s where it stopsThe ‘ pandemic ‘and being ‘ short staffed’ has effected this ‘tired’ facility and they are using this excuse to the maxNo valetself parking at $45/dailyNo bell hop/ assistanceA stark lobby No real restaurantaside from a pathetic bar that doesn’t have a theme let alone ambiancelimited menue items, and ridiculously pricedThis old property has so much potentialBUT you need to upgrade all the furniture ( extremely worn/ beaten), put in a real restaurant and lounge with ambiance, step up the appearance of your staff do this, and then you could legitimately support the hotel room pricesDo your self a favorpass on this hotelthere is better for the money

Very cozy and nice hotel to stay in Coronado This lovely hotel boutique has everything you need to make your stay a comfortable one It is clean, beautiful and remodeled! The only thing that I consider needs to be improved is the TV

It is not a Smart TV, so I could not watch Netflix nor YouTube Other than that I highly recommend this place to stay while you visit Coronado! Thanks to Kadee! She makes your stay even better with her sweetness and setting of delicious treats for you! Enjoy a little breakfast before you leave!

With so many flights being cancelled across the country last week, mine was one of them and unfortunately I was unable to make it to San Diego for our 15 year Anniversary Since I was not able to rebook another flight I had to cancel my reservation with Hotel Marisol as soon as I found out about my flight I was hoping for a little compassion and communication, but I got very little of either

Today is 10 days after my cancellation and I have yet to get a call back I have NEVER experienced such bad communication in all my travels domestic and international No call back and not one email back, to this day I planned on returning at a later date, but after this lack of communication I am staying away from this hotel If the simple communication is this bad, not sure what else could be lacking in the rooms or the hotel grounds My other hotel, rental car, and other tours that we had planned for that week were all excellent and we have already rebooked for our next trip, but fortunately we will not be staying at Hotel Marisol My suggestion would be to stay away and find another place, there are plenty in the Coronado area

two bro studios offical

Room was comfy and big had the one bedroom suite and it was fully stocked with all the dishes pots pans Keurig machine pull out sofa and a roll out bed in the closet so it’s well stocked It was very clean and cozy and steps from the beach There isn’t any AC but you absolutely DO NOT need it!! Open the windows and it’s cool crisp and beautiful

I love this place and will be back!

Let me start by saying I am very reluctant to give any 1 star reviews, with that said This hotel is not worth what you pay The room has no air conditioning, the blinds are rusted, the faucet in the shower was falling off the wall, the furniture in the room is plastic, I could hear the entire conversation the room next to us was having, the ocean view was of the park where the homeless sleep and the hotel parking lot

This would have been acceptable if the room was priced for what it is, but at 500 US dollars for a 2 night mid-week stay it leaves much to be desired If I could do it again I would have booked with the other hotel across the street and a block south

I stayed in this hotel while working temp in San Diego for about a month in May/April I would say this is a hidden gem and a very cute boutique hotel! I loved that there are only 13 rooms and it has the cutest patio that stays lit at night for comfort and safety (very aesthetic as well!) ALL of the staff are extremely accommodating and friendly

I think this would be the perfect stay for a solo traveler like myself, a couple or some friends It could be a good fit for families as well, but it may be a bit louder then a family would want (traffic noise, multiple guests in one room and upstairs movement is fairly loud)I would not change much about this cute hotel It is an older building, so you will hear movement from upstairs, if you are on the first floor If you are a light sleeper, I would advise to stay on the second floor to take care of that My room, and most, if not all, have a cute little kitchen that is stocked, so you can make any type of food! The unit was very clean and newly furnished! My bathroom was brand new and it was so cute and clean! Great tub for baths and relaxing The location is amazing because it is right across the street from the ocean and a park There are several, very nice bars and restaurants right on the same street too The hotel has its own parking lot, as well as parking on the side streets I would say this is a great selection for a short or long term stay for anyone looking to see Imperial Beach or surrounding areas! It is also pet friendly, with lots of areas to walk your doggies for pottySpecial thanks to Dotti, the manager, for constant, exceptional customer service And thanks to her amazing staff Kevin, Alba, Lily, Zahraa, Kino and Steven for all the hospitality and thoughtfulness during my long term stay! It really helped to have a solid, friendly staff during the stressful move I was making

The Beach Villas were amazing – the concierge and the Serena restaurant in particular were spectacular Such a wonderful visit with family! We loved the small pools too The only downside was that the food at the takeout / breakfast spot was surprisingly below average

We didn’t mind though because that didn’t make a big impact – the experience overall was incredibly memorable! We loved sitting on our balcony and staring out at the ocean

Joe Espinoza

the hotel staff was amazing and made my stay there so relaxing we stayed at the beach village and the concierge staff was amazing as well as the valets I only had an issue with one middle aged bartender working the taco shack on the beach with a tiki torch carrying haircut that wore sunglasses every day even though the whole time the beach had an overcast, he was a jerk every time so I decided not to spend money or time when he was there, but I won’t let him bring down the score of the entire operation, he was a blip that will probably be fired soon anyway

The valets were fantastic, even the fedex worker on site was friendly and so helpful The grounds are very clean the recreation managers are on point with everything you sign up for The gym had to be one of the best gyms I’ve been to and I’ve stayed at a lot of nice places there was construction going on but where I stayed it was not an issue all the shops and restaurant outside the hotel are in walking distance and some on the opposite end of the island would take about 30 minutes to walk to or you can rent golf carts around the corner from the hotel The beach was clean, the pool staff was excellent, we paid for a cabana and the staff was good enough to kindly ask a family that commandeered the cabana and the reserved pool chairs while we were swimming to find another spot which saved me the heartburn of having to do it we stayed at the beach village which are a bit older but in good condition, the other parts of the hotel are newly renovated and look amazing inside, very modern looking with plenty of rooms with beach and pool views All in all except for the bitter taco hut bartender I rate this an excellent stay and would recommend to anyone I will definitely visit again

Everything in Coronado California is expensive The Glorietta Bay Inn is no exception That being said, what follows is based on what you get for the price you pay

The room we were given for a recent Friday night stay can only be described as a small motel room with very little space to move aroundTo their credit, the Glorietta Bay Inn did put many amenities in the room A modern TV, a desk & chair, comfortable queen bed, two nightstands, occupant controlled heating & air-conditioning unit, mini-fridge etcThese items took up much of the space available giving the occupants a cramped feeling When you pay over $500 for one night, you have the right to expect a little more space for your moneyAside from the size, the air in the room was stale, suggesting it needed some cross ventilation Maybe the air conditioning unit’s air filter needed to be replaced as wellBalancing all this was the excellent customer service from all the staff with whom we interacted They were friendly, polite and very well trained They made our stay enjoyable and pleasurableOverall, we enjoyed our stay despite the deficiencies of the room I recommend the Glorietta Bay Inn, but advise anyone contemplating a stay here to learn as much as possible about the room you will be assigned Our room was #561

Stephen Spiro

Absolutely loved our stay They were super accommodating to my family and I think we had one of the best rooms in the place for our situation Have a family with little kids, being just steps from the pool and hot tub, each night we would go from our back door 10 steps and into the hot tub before going to bed

The location is 1 block from the beach and you go straight through the Del to get there Breakfast was really good and a huge plus with little kids Hotel is tailored for couples looking for a retreat in the mansion rooms and pretty cool the amount of suites for families I would for sure stay here again BTW – book directly with the hotel vs travel sites, they waive parking and it ends up being cheaper

Dan Ortega

I would give this place a higher review, but my main issue is with the advertised price that does NOT include the $40 per day “resort fee” This resort fee includes “parking for one vehicle per night, coffee in the lobby and guest rooms (ie

k-cups), breakfast, in the Mansion, as well as other resort amenities”You cannot decline this fee – which is crazy since I didn’t have a car to park, didn’t use the pool, and the breakfast in the mansion was not much better than a typical chain hotel breakfast like at a Best Western, Comfort Inn, etcLook close at the price details before booking

The staff here was nice and it had great vibes There were 3 fire pits that I know of that you can sit at during the night time while watching the sunset and it was right on the Marina so the views were incredible Clean rooms and awesome place

1 downside was the parking Lots and additional parking lots were always full Sometimes you’re stuck circling around waiting for people to leave That is the only downside at this hotel Other than that issue, everything else was good I would come back again

Corintha Jeter

Every experience I’ve had visiting San Diego has been awesome This Sheraton has to be the best of all, the guest service personnel is amazing from the time you arrive and exit the shuttle Brain was so nice and informative when we needed to know about places we was going to visit

Alex was awesome as well during check in Shalonda helped us when we arrived back from our 1st day and had to get our keys we watched her handle herself very well with a difficult customer She stayed very professional throughout the entire conversation with the lady We had nice views from our room, the Rooms was nice and clean Had few issues getting extra little towels but we eventually got them Our sister trip was a success!!! Thank you for an awesome stay

Sarah Campbell

This hotel is beautifully located next to the bay The restaurants I tried were pricey but delicious I spent quite a bit of time at the pool which never seemed to get busy

The room was comfortable even though the bed wasn’t great it had a nice view The only negative was that the shower didn’t drain right, after every shower you’d be ankle deep in water

Great location! On the island, and walking distance to pretty much everything! Nice pool, nice breakfast, rooms are clean, and very nice customer service Love the lounge area in the courtyard It is an older hotel, but perfect for a family get away

This was my second stay here and Will def be back! Stayed in a suite Room was pretty quiet Couldn’t hear neighbors or traffic Stayed across the street at the Coronado inn a few months prior because Bestwestern was full, and the noise was awful from the traffic, ambulances, fire trucks and since its the main road when entering the island, its non-stop trafficbut at the best western, didn’t hear much of anything🙌🏼

William Hunt

Clean, well appointed, smallish suites Located 2 blocks from the ferry terminal and 15 miles from the downtown area

Good variety of breakfast items Seems to be well maintained Be aware that if you do not book through Best Western you will not collect points The hotel ‘s website directed me to Priceline, which did not identify itself as a 3rd party site

What a beautiful, serene place The room was impeccably clean Everything was provided for a relaxing vacation

It feels way more intimate and personable than those corporate condos And everyone was very friendly Its location was perfect- very close to the beach and restaurants And we loved the breakfast and happy hour The sangria from the happy hour was one of the best I’ve had!

Pamela Broderick

THIS is the place to stay on Coronado if you are: seeking quiet relaxation, high standards of housekeeping/maintenance and warm, discreet, professional staff The location gives you the beach and a grand resort 25 blocks away WITHOUT sand in your room and their noise from bars, group functions, etc! The residential neighborhood is charming complete with tenders gardens and hummingbirds

Cooked breakfast included fruit each day, lots of egg-based casseroles that are delicious pancakes Were there 4 nights March 20-24 and inn was full but did not feel crowdedBedrooms/baths nicely sized with plenty of room for our stuffCan’t wait to go back!

1st class service and experience! I wanted to surprise my girlfriend with flowers and balloons for her birthday I made reservations to have them delivered to the hotel The innkeepers (especially Dana) went above and beyond to set them up so when she opened the door was surprised to them! They helped make the moment super special!! Thank you again so much! It couldn’t have been done without your help! Also there is underground parking garage which was very nice and everything you could want to do is walking distance from there

I could go on and on about the quiet and intimate feel to the hotel plus the breakfast and happy hour too, even bike rentals included but this review is long enough lol This isn’t just another regular hotel, it’s an experience!

We just spent our honeymoon at this lovely resort From the moment we walked in, we knew we made the right choice! Friendly staff, spacious rooms with private balconies and awesome views! Underground parking was great! Property kept really clean! The Sea Spa offered a couples massage and it was also top notch! The Cays Lounge offered great service (even had Heineken 00) and live music was definitely a plus! We will definitely be back!

Mia Lee

Major props to Alex at the front desk for an amazing welcome and check-in experience He was so helpful and cheery! The room had an amazing view, and we spent a lot of time on the balcony looking at the great sea view The cleaning crew is very wonderful and warm, attentive at their job too

The stay itself exceeded our expectations Also enjoyed interacting with the porters/valets at the main entrance of the hotels, they give good directions! Our only complaint would be the expensive self-parking fee Overall, amazing stay!

We had never been to San Diego before and really struggled on deciding where to stay We settled on Best Western Island Palms because it was more affordable and close to all the places we wanted to visit We absolutely loved it! We had a second floor room at the end near the parking garages on the bay side, for 3 nights

The kids loved watching the Navy Carriers and Destroyers float by in the mornings! The room was spacious and clean, with two queen beds and plenty of room for the pack n’ play we brought The beds were comfortable and everyone slept really well With the fan on we had no noise issues; we didn’t turn it off for our whole stay so I can’t say what the noise was like without the background noise of the fan The patio was wonderful to sit and look out at the bay The kids loved swimming in the pools and walking along the marina behind the hotel The restaurant was pricey but the food was really good, and the staff were so friendly, especially toward the children We already plan to stay here again the next time we visit San Diego!

First, the staff here is excellent, that alone makes me want to come back They are kind, friendly, accommodating when they can be, and very helpful The place is quiet, has great amenities, and is clean

There are a few areas that need some improvement, for starters the fire show was nice, but it was poorly planned At the beginning of the show, the performer had to stop to rush to the gate to tell a guest they couldn’t enter through that way The hotel should have already had that area roped off or locked to get people from entering Second, the area the performer was dancing in (with fire) was wet from the pool water and she almost slipped multiple times, they should have roped it off well before the show to ensure her safety The fire dancer is a good idea but it was poorly executed Next the sliding blinds in the marina rooms are really sticky/dirty at least our room was and need to be cleaned between guests There were some people smoking pot in the pool area around kids and I wish the hotel would have checked in on the pools more frequently Easy enough fix, we went to the other pool as this hotel has two Other than that, this place was super nice to stay in and we will likely stay again when in the area

My family stayed here 3 nights (12/26-12/29/2021) in a marina view room It is a great experience We drove from Arizona to San Diego on 12/26, and arrived there 1 hour before their check in time

The lady at the front desk allowed us to get a room, instead of being stuck in the car with 2 tired kids, which I really appreciated it! The marina room is great, and however, probably due to our early check in, we only got a 1st floor, and the view is not as great as the 2nd/3rd floor Meanwhile, the room on the 1st floor is connected to the public walking trail, so it is not very convenient when someone in the room is wearing pajama/ or just finished shower, and we had to close the curtain/shutter all the time If I know we would get a 1st floor room due to early check in(I assumed), I would prefer waiting, as there is a playground across the street where we could easily entertain the kids Based on the number of cars in the parking lots, my feeling is that it is not fully booked in my building during our stay So my suggestion to the front desk is to give guests options for high floor with better view if possible The hotel is in a great location, and it is very quiet at least for our building The room is clean, bathroom appears to be recently remodeled, and the bed is very comfy I would probably stay here again next time if we are around the same area and will definitely ask for a marina view on the higher floors

The staff is extremely friendly and helpful I really wish all aspects of the room were as wonderful as the staffUpon entering the room, you see a relaxed, beach inspired theme, but you’re disappointed when you look a little closer

The room is very spacious, but the condition of the bedding and bathroom was not as I would expect a 4-star hotel to be The pictures on the Marriott website make the hotel appear nicer than it actually isI had issue with the stained sheets and questionable yellow soiled spots on them I did request new sheets and the staff promptly brought them to me Additionally, the closet had a damp, musty smell as well, so I made sure to keep the door closedI probably would not stay at this hotel again, but would come back to enjoy some food at the restaurant I loved the shrimp enchiladas

Super friendly staff, the gal that helped me up front starting with an A was the best person to work withLocation is the best on the west coast, you literally walk out right to the beach, there’s not many hotels on the coast that you can do thatRooms were very clean, except for the pack and play that was sent to me, it had some sort of stain on it

Great atmosphere and lobby, they have happy hour every day free for all guests, beer and wine and some small finger foodsThe building it self you can see some signs of wear from the saltwill definitely be back

If your ever in Imperial Beach California this is the best possible place to stay Not just because they are beach front, but because they have everything thought out for you which makes your stay here painless I went to a graduation down the street and the price were fair considering your next to beach, park, food joints and shopping all walking distance

The pier is walking distance as well The beds are comfortable and the shower shoots out full blasting water Not like other hotels that barely shoot out because water pressure is turned down They have a restaurant down stars and I didn’t get to dine-in but I will next time so I can’t comment on it Staff was definitely cool and the place was extremely clean Come try it out and get the full beach/shopping experience IB offers

We had a wonderful time The location was perfect and resort had nice extras like coffee in the lobby every morning and different snacks or activities daily Covered and gated parking was really nice

Rooms were spacious and well equipped Bed was comfortable and loved having extra blankets and beach towels available The roof top spa was clean and hot and perfect for soaking in the evenings There was some issues with noise from the room above when they walked and the family next door letting their young child play in the hall but our room faced the parking lot and we heard no noise from outside They had free bikes, beach chairs and umbrellas to check out which would have been nice if it had been sunny during our stay

Julie Knowles

The location of the resort is definitely five stars as it is right next to the Hotel Del Service was also excellent, but what was not five stars was the roomMy husband and I are local and I had originally planned on cooking most of our meals there

Luckily I checked the amenities beforehand and noted that there was no oven and only a hot plate I had to adjust our plans and there was barely enough counter space to use the hot plate and my husband had to prep at the tableWe were also both working remotely and the only place to really put two laptops was at the tableWe made it all work and we had a really nice week at the resort!

Sarah S. Johnston

At the Coronado Beach Resort we received excellent customer service at a prime location just a few minutes walk to the beach It is also walking distance from excellent restaurants, shopping, and close to the airportOur 1 bedroom unit had a large refrigerator, plenty of newer silverware, dishes, and glassware so we were able to eat in whenever we wanted

The rooftop patio and hot tub was clean and lovely I would highly recommend the resort for your stay on Coronado Island

I was checking this out for friends and did not actually stay here, but I recommended it to them wholeheartedly and would stay here myself in a second It’s a blink-and-you-miss it tiny motor hotel, but it has a charm all its own The very friendly housekeeping staff showed us a couple of rooms, and they seemed very clean and well maintained and well equipped

Given the fact that this is Coronado, the rates also are pretty amazing

Sue Lewis

Love the location and the aesthetic of this motel! The lower review is because the daily cleaning of the room was a bit surprising to me The only service that seemed to occur during the cleaning was new towels and the bed was made The counters weren’t cleaned, the used drinking cups were not replaced, carpets not vacuumed and no tidying at all

Even as I looked under the bed to make sure I had all my belongings it seemed clear the floor underneath had not been vacuumed in a very long time The wifi was very spotty which was a big negative for me as well I stayed here for Comic Con so I didn’t spend a long time in the room so for me personally I would actually stay again because it worked well for this kind of vacation I just hope if I stay again the maid service is more thorough and the wifi is stronger

Cayela Bona

They amount of good reviews this motel got is suspect to say the least Rooms were janky and small The room we stayed in overnight was dreadful

Cleanliness? Nonexistent I don’t know what other reviewers are talking about when they said this motel was “very clean” It’s not Balls of lint and hair all over the floor Dust everywhere, I can feel it with every inhale Do not walk on the floors barefoot or with socks on because if you do your feet or socks will end up black I can tell housekeeping doesn’t do their job Not only were the floors disgusting, the bedsheets were another thing There were stains on the bedsheets and pillows, I didn’t even want to get into bed The bathroom was also in bad condition The shower floor had black dirt stains The toilet paper roll looked used Toothpaste spit stains on the sink faucet The towels had some kind of film that left a residue on your skin I ended up just using my daughters baby wipes to wash up, that’s how bad the towels and shower was Beds were uncomfortable and hard Pillows had stains, hair and were flat and hardOverall, this stay was very unpleasant Couldn’t even sleep because of how uncomfortable the room made my family and I feel I would advise anyone to steer clear of this motel This stay was NOT worth $174 for one nightOnly pro I can think of was the location but even then we could hear every loud engine and motorcycle revving overnight

The room was lovely and the view was beautiful Our room overlooked the marina The bed was comfortable, the little couch was too

Having a balcony with seating was great Mini fridge kept everything cold and had plenty of space The bathroom had a good sized bathtub instead of just a shower, so it was nice to relax inThe entire hotel is clean and has an inviting feelWe will stay here again

Sandy Yang-Chanh

Let me start off with the amazing view (the back side -Bay Tower)! Our view was the north side and the south view is the full navy base plus downtown It was super calming and relaxing! You get to see planes take off every other 10-15 minutes The room was clean and a bit outdated

Not sure if they had short staffs but they didn’t accommodate to our needs/requests (Pros) There is a mini fridge to store your drinks/leftover food, the building itself has a clean botanical smell which is great, you can go fishing (free/no FL required) or choose to walk out in the front, and you can rent a bike for a stroll (Cons) No microwave! You won’t be able to reheat your leftover food, bathroom vent/fan doesn’t work, short staff, ice makers didn’t work on floor 7, carpets felt dirty and needs cleaning , & parking is a bit tight when full Other than that, it’s like every other parking lot Not sure about coming back here again in the future

Alic Wired

I’ve stayed at this hotel on many occasions, but never in the Bay Tower So when I was offered an upgraded room there, I welcomed the opportunity The room I got was a typical double, with a mini fridge and no safe

It had a large bathroom with a jet tub, and floor-to-ceiling widows on two sides The most impressive was the balcony, overlooking both the bay and the marina You could easily host a party with 50 people on it The sights of San Diego downtown are spectacular Breakfast is not free (but for Bonvoy members choosing breakfast option is the way to go) Restaurant has good food and fire pits street-side There’s a shuttle that goes between the two locations and to the airport, but you’d have better luck with Uber if you want to be there on time This hotel is usually very busy, so don’t plan to get an early check in, if there’s any convention in town

Overall, I found this hotel charming, and it had some stunning views My friends and I often commented on the tropical feel of the hotel I definitely like the marina view rooms over the ocean view

The ocean view suite had a road in between the beach views We hung out half a day at the pool, but the poolside bar was closed – it opens after Memorial Day With the hotel stay, we got access to a music venue, which was tons of fun The staff was very friendly and sweet There were great restaurants at walking distance I definitely plan on returning!

Leana Hardgrave

My husband and I stayed here for five nights and it was a lovely stay Our room had a gorgeous view of the pool and a peekaboo view of the harbor beyond The room is clean and nice, but the r draw is the beautifully landscaped property in a perfect San Diego location

They have had live music every night, strong drinks at their lounge bar, and (out of their control, but still worth noting) beautiful sunny days followed by gorgeous sunsetsDuring our stay, they were offering daily service for the rooms if you called to request it – otherwise housekeeping would not come by Great place to enjoy San Diego from!

Heather Bender

The campus of is beautiful and well maintained Loved the privacy of our junior suite Views were wonderful

Our only complaint was the bed It was very hard and probably late in its life span I was in a lot of pain most of my trip from the bed My husband never has back trouble and could hardly stand If only the bed had been as well appointed as the rest of the resort If you need a comfy bed this is NOT the resort for you
