Wonderful experience and clean resort Top notch Breakfast Buffet excellent

Enjoyed Naughty Mermaid, Gather which is near, ice cream shop near, boat ride to Ft Myers Beach, loved the marina, walking in the morning, workout facility Hotel pool booked quick and people left towels out all day even when not there We enjoyed other two pools but it would be nice if this was monitored Check your bill before you leave We had slight discrepancy but they fixed quickly Management was always on top of everything and everyone was very helpful No beach but we drove to some and enjoyed the resort The rooms were spacious, clean, well equipped

Karen Greer

Very nice enclosed free garage Small boardwalk with a few shoppes and 2 seafood restaurants Excellent customer service front desk, restaurants, maintenance, room service

Restaurant staff especially friendly and happy! Restaurant with inside / shaded outside seating, generous portions, limited menu due to off season but able to order Grub hub, etc Although menu said blackened grouper you could also get it fried or grilled Large pool with multiple seats, 4 cabanas, hot tub Beautiful Scenery on marina side Ceiling fan in our room Large shower with excellent pressure and hot water Maintenance changed out our patio fan due to not working, changed out our refrigerator that was frozen All quickly and without complaint Our only issue was the sliding glass doors to our patio were very dirty on the outside, marring our beautiful view My husband easily wiped them down himself though We opted not to have daily housekeeping, instead asking for extra towel sets and trash bags upon arrival It was easy to get anything else we needed from housekeeping as we saw them on our floor We opted to have a microwave at a daily charge of $10 Los of activities near the pool A little off the beaten path Not within walking distance of other restaurants or activities, more secluded Very relaxing Daily boat shuttle to Ft Meyers Plan on definitely returning!

Jonathan Gibson

Oh my goodness, this hotel was amazing Wow, what a place! The marina was very well laid out, the property was beautiful The rooms were spacious and clean, with good amenities

Absolutely loved the layout and design They have a beautiful “boardwalk” along the water with all sorts of shops I will definitely be returning to this location and hopefully for a longer stay Highly recommend Also, the Valet deserves a promotion

So so happy with our experience!! Check in was super simple & speedy The room was clean and spacious We checked in for one night, in the middle of the week and because they were slow they upgraded us from a regular room to a waterfront suite, at no extra charge

That was so thoughtful and we really appreciated that gift We spent the entire evening watching a gorgeous sunset from our balcony Thank you for great service and a beautiful room! I just have to share a picture because it was breathtaking No filters needed 🙂

Julia Kelley

Wonderful location The views are beautiful! Quick walk to restaurants and shopping Mr Bob the night security officer was super helpful! Heads up: the tiki bar has not yet reopened :/ The new owner stated they are working hard to complete that project

Nothing fancy about the room but it was fine for what we needed Clean and comfortable!Would definitely stay again!

Cynthia Drake Morrow

You can tell this used to be a nice place but staffing shortages have hit hard They would not clean the room while we were here—not even once—and the pool was dirty The little bar by the pool didn’t open the entire time we were here

There were bugs all around the pool area I can tell the owner is trying, but ultimately, I’m sorry we stayed here

Last year, this place was great! It used to be privately owned and the owner took special care of his guests Now it’s owned by Sea Gypsy Vacation Rentals There is nobody in the office to provide help of any kind

We had no towels and were running out of tissues and TP Then management told us they no longer provide clean towels or cleaning service at all during a stay Guests need to do and bring everything themselves Including paper towels and TP We were not advised of this before we came Beware!

Nicky Vanda

We usually go in May and stay 4-5 nights Didn’t go last year Thank you covid! Owners are great people and very sociable

Clean rooms Pool is nice and clean Close to everything!! Love the kitchenette in room! We also use the grill to cook out on! Beach chairs and towels to use! Housekeeping is on point! We love going here and will continue staying there!! I had a friend come visit from Fort Myers Steve was fine with it as long as you let him know The owners are always kind and courteous to us! Will definitely stay here all the time!

Sarah Shipman

The best location!! The place was clean and in a perfect spot Uber from the airport and you will never need a car for your stay Many, many restaurants within two blocks

The beach is right across the streeteasily able to walk back for lunch We stayed in one of the two bedroom cottages It was not up to date, but for the location, it was a win for us!There were beach towels for each of us at the cottage to use There was coffee, cream and sugar with the coffee maker The owner has some beach chairs availablenot guaranteed, but there are some there

Briton Bochenski

They have a renovation going on, which makes things a little difficult and I understand that The hotel was hardly occupied and I was placed on the 3rd floor, right next to the construction The elevator stopped going to the 3rd floor during my stay

It took 3 different trips down the stairs throughout the day and telling the front desk before finally running into a maintenance person and telling him before it was even addressed Foresight in not sticking a guest right next to construction, and if your forced to offer some type of concessions to balance the situation The rooms are very nice Just a bad experience this time around

Mr. Calixte Tout Bagay Imigrasyon (Mr. Calixte)

The clerk was fantastic charmagne

Cute, funny, and nice Fast serviceQuick check in no problemThe elevators are cozy Only 3 floors of living spaceThe room was nice Two queen size bedsClean sheetsPlenty of towelsThe hallway was stuffy when you first Walk in

Trevor Gundlach

We really enjoyed our stay here Clean rooms, great location, free chairs and umbrellas for the beach, beach towels, comfortable king bed, clean bathroom, warm pool, nice seating under an overhang if it is raining, owners and cleaning crew were kind and respectful, free coffee in the morning, and we could even check in early since our room was ready (or leave our bags at the front) I highly recommend for someone traveling on a budget but not wanting to sacrifice comfort

It isn’t a resort, but it is way better than your average motel New floors and paint in rooms made it feel updated One recommendation: A quick power wash of the siding would really clean up the exterior appearance!

Chris Vrabel

The rooms here are very basic and have not been updated in a long time The room I stayed in had a pretty strong musty odor that stuck with us on our clothes and luggage The front desk staff are not in the office during office hours and instead have you push a button for service

We waited anywhere from 5-10 minutes for help during times that should have been staffedThere is quite a bit of noise at night from the main road and from other rooms/tenants The rooms do no block much noiseLocation near the beach is the only positive

Nicole Zambrano

The worst costumer service I’ve ever experienced My husband and I reserved this place for our honeymoon It had a great location and we were honestly excited

However, the day before our trip we tried to check in and we realized we couldn’t because we are both under 25 years old, a policy that should be stated clearly in their booking process We tried to call the hotel and ask for an exception as we were not going there to “party” but for a relaxing weekend to celebrate our wedding We had no response We called several times at 11am and nobody answered We unfortunately had to cancel, and they are refusing to give us a full refund because of “their policy” It is imposible to reach them unless you use a third party Thankfully we used Expedia, because I don’t think we could have reached them without them Awful experience Beware

We booked a night here and I have to say it was the most breathtaking fantastic get away I’ve ever had! The second we walked into our room the view had us in awe The beach literally lit up the entire room, and the amenities were so clean and inviting Every detail of this hotel made our stay so special

The staff was super friendly and welcoming as well We will definitely be back and recommend to everyone!!

Richard Garcia

I liked this place because it is right on the beach, the views are beautiful from the rooms and it also has a pool in case you don’t like spending too much time on the beach I didn’t like the water pressure from the shower and faucets in general, horrible pressure The hotel doesn’t have any activities, is just you and the beach

It is located in a good place full of restaurants and music but you have to walk there No bars in the hotel!

Anonymous

I stayed at Edison Beach House for 11 days I had an excellent experience here 1

Right on the beach 2 Parking included 3 The price with all the features beats the rest 4 The “downtown” of Estero Island is just on the other side of public parkingsuper convenient 5 Full kitchen with all you need included 6 Washer & Dryer in the room 7 The view was amazing 8 The staff was great and I didn’t catch her name but the blonde lady who did maintenance was super friendly and very attentive If I go back to Fort Myers without a doubt this will be the only place I’d want to stay! Thanks for a great vacation!

Loved the 2 bedroom room, plenty of space, full kitchen, and was quiet We enjoyed breakfast each day and service was friendly No issues with the location either

My only complaint was the ac in the room it never felt cool and the room always felt “damp” like The carpet could definitely be replaced One of the bathrooms water pressure wasn’t the greatest or “hot” which wasn’t a problem for me since I just used the other shower But might be issue for bigger families that stay there I didn’t complain since we were only there couple of days and was doable Overall the stay went well

Joel Webb

Breakfasts are top notchRooms were spacious and modernLobby had small meeting nooks, a large breakfast area, outdoor pool, and a great workout facility

Outside exterior was being painted at the time, but construction wasn’t disturbing to residentsHotel is close to the beachAquarium in the lobby is nice touch alsoDidn’t hear any noise from neighbors or upstairs/downstairsOnly negative issue is we found a live huge cockroach in our unitInternet Speed test came in at 461Mbps

Svenja X

We really loved our room: lots of space, cozy beds, a cute kitchenette with even a dishwasher! The staff also was very friendlyBUT: our toilet absolutely did not work Whenever we used it it got clogged! We went to the reception and maintenance fixed it twice after every time we used it

We then stopped using it because apparently something is wrong with the pipes Having a room with no functioning toilet really isn’t something I was expecting from Marriott! The other problem was the breakfast: very poor choices, usually some things were already gone no matter when you came to eat I would’ve expected more from that as well

This was the newest, cleanest and most friendly hotel I have ever stayed in I was there 9 days in March 2022 and loved everything about it! The location was central to everything! The bed was soft and comfortable and the room was clean and did not smell The hot water was plentiful no matter what time I showered and the air conditioning worked perfectly

They had a blow dryer, an iron and ironing board and a direct line to the front desk Someone was there at all times to answer any questions and everyone was exceptionally nice The breakfast was amazing and you can make your own one-minute pancakes by pressing a button Fresh omelets, sausages, bananas, oranges, muffins, bagels, juice, oatmeal, toast, and yogurt were the choices I couldn’t complain about anything! Oh, and a coffee and tea bar (there were also K-cups with the machine in our room) I would never stay anywhere else! This was the best choice away from home

Woody

My fishing buddy and I have been staying at the Cape Coral Holiday Inn Express for a few years now It is perfectly located near the places we visit and isn’t far from the fishing charters we book on a yearly basis The hotel staff is friendly, rooms are clean and comfortable, and is within walking distance from our favorite restaurant, “The Monkey Bar and Grill

” I’m a member with Holiday Inn (IHG Hotels) and this has been my favorite hotel to stay in, and I have stayed in several Holiday Inn Hotels throughout the USA I encourage everyone to stay here if they are going to be in the Fort Meyer/Cape Coral area because you won’t be disappointed! I would like to give a shout out to the great staff there! Thanks for making every stay as comfortable as possible! KUDOS!!!

Amy Blencowe

This is a good hotel with a good location to access everything around The rooms were clean and bathroom was really big The AC was right next to one of the beds so we had to put a chair in front of it to block the cold air

I am not super happy that they are still using only plastic plates and utensils during breakfast Overall, if you are just touring the area and only in the hotel to sleep it’s a good choice The staff working the breakfast buffet is very nice but literally any staff at the front desk should be avoided because they are all pretty rude

I agree the rooms are a bit outdated but the location to everything makes up for that The bars, restaurants, and entertainment was excellent The bartenders and waitresses were amazing each day and night

The Sundeck was our favorite place, Jeremy took amazing care of us The drinks were strong and came as quick as you needed them The view was great The beach was clean and nice Walking distance to other bars and restaurants Will be back for sure

Lourdes Morales

Great location Food and drinks are really expensive However, you will find affordable prices within a short walk

Rooms need TLC (dirty drapes and walls) and the noise level is way too high past midnight Yes, music from 8 pm to 12 am However, the lack of consideration by guests is beyond words Either too drunk or really don’t care about anyone else Be aware of the additional taxes imposed in addition to the beach resort and state tax Bed Tax? Really? There is only one shower in the pool area We were trying to minimize the amount of sand coming into the resort (elevator, hallway, and room) If you want to feel like you are on spring break all the time, go for it

Lindsey Freitag

This is a ‘young people’ resort with a 5 star restaurant on the top floor Amazing music played at night by a live band Definitely not a place for kids or people who want quiet and relaxation

More a party crowd, which is fine because that is what some people go on vacation for Rooms were very clean Staff was amazing and on point Only wish is that I knew about this place when I was younger!!

As a loyal Marriott traveler for work and personal trips, the Luminary is one of my new favorite hotels The staff were all extremely friendly I was greeted with a tasty welcome cocktail and a gorgeous view

Something to also be really proud of is the delicious food and speedy room service delivery The salmon dish on the room service menu was just fantastic I cannot say enough great things and I will be a repeat visitor to this hotel Stayed for 3 nights and leaving as a very happy customer

Angeli M.

Where to begin?! The hotel is beautiful, modern, and feels new The views from the rooms and rooftop bar are fabulous Walking distance from all things downtown

But what really sets the Luminary apart is the service Everyone is so accommodating, and dedicated to ensuring a fabulous stay Special kudos to the front desk staff Another particular standout was Bobby at the bar, who makes the best drinks and smilingly accommodated my (admittedly high maintenance) request for a special wine glass Not only did he get it, but had another ready for me two days later when I returned Five star service

Lary Patrick

For the price you pay, you’d think they would disclose up front that the roof top bar blast their till 2 am but yet they provide 35 cent ear plugs by your bed Water is nasty, half the staff we experienced for our two night stay were rude or condescending

If you have a guest staying on a pull out couch, better put a blanket over the barn door style door on the bathroom as the gaps in the door allow someone to see in The toilet seat wasn’t even mounted straight and yet this is supposed to be a signature hotel Disappointed beyond belief Positives, the food at the diner was fairly priced and good Rooms are nice Complimentary drink while you wait for check-inMy daughter’s wedding was this particular weekend and she had a room there as well The only reason we stayed at this high price hotel was because it was close to the wedding venue I will never stay at the luminary againPlease don’t bother with your standard, lip service, response to this review It’s not merited

The pool area was clean and nicely maintained No hot tub The room was clean and bed was comfortable

The pull out sofa bed was old and extremely uncomfortable The cushions sagged We had to purchase a foam mattress topper to make it able to be slept on Overall the stay was enjoyable We liked the location convenient to Sanibel and the excellent diner restaurants within walking distance to the property Good lower cost alternative close to the beaches without paying premium prices for a beachfront hotel

Margie Lieto

This hotel has the most professional, friendliest, courteous employees you could ever ask for I encountered at least a dozen during my stay One more pleasant than the next

The general manager is excellent You can see how she cares about her hotel guests and her employees Breakfast was wonderful and a different selection each day Pool is beautiful and clean Hotel and rooms are clean Do not ever go to the Holiday Inn express which is right next door They have the rudest employees, the Holiday inn express is dirty, when you walk in you are not welcomed Hampton inn and suites fort myers beach fl will give you a happy, memorable experience I will stay at the Hampton inn and suites again for sure!!

Chuck Stanford

GROSS!! If we weren’t so tired from traveling today we would have left immediately The room was dirty, the bathroom was filthy, the tub would not drain out, the walls are paper thin, the power went out momentary but came back on Totally not recommended! Go next door to the Holiday Inn Express for the same price! That is where we will be tomorrow night

(The only nice thing we can say is the guy checking us on was very friendly)

Lovely hotel, mostly hospitable staff (they do kick you out of the pool/hot tub AT 10PM – they are not playing! LOL), nice breakfast offerings, comfy bed/couch/rolling chair w coffee table & desk in room

Only real complaints are no fan in bathroom & no seating @ smoking areas8/10 recommend – good pricing for how nice it is

Lisa Metcalfe

Friendly, welcoming staff in lovely, quieter, just-off-the-main-road location Pleasant pool/hot tub area with umbrella table seating and soft background music as well There are disposable ear phones, filtered water and sanitizer in the well-equipped fitness center–Love the fish tank in lobby! Dining service was fantastic and the grilled, 4-cheese grilled sandwich with tomato/basil soup was perfect😋

Wallace Myers

Highly recommend! I travel often and this is one of the best hotels in this price point Many hotels still do not have Netflix and other streaming service capabilities in room tv and this hotel has that and cable The gym is above average for a hotel gym

The staff is extremely friendly and welcoming and everyone seems super happy to be working here with lots of positivity Lastly, the place is spotless The hotel lobby is constantly being cleaned and wiped down The rooms are extremely clean and comfortable I have stayed here on 2 separate occasion while traveling for work for a total of 6 nights Definitely will stay again if in the area!

Location, location, location did I mention location? Marina Village is a 5 story time share on the water and right at the base of the bridge You can lose your day just watching the variety of boats going by Resturants are feet away along with all the tourist fare

Gulf beaches are two blocks away and they have their own parking The units appear to be large for the area at 1200 feet The staff is friendly and caring

Hotel is in a great location Every room has a view of the water and beautiful beach There was not however, a local bar, discounted beach loungers, or adult only time for the pool

The pool is heated, this is a necessary luxury if you plan on using it no matter what time of year The hotel staff were very accommodating with few things we asked for Breakfast is the average 4/10 free hotel breakfast as in any hotel The building and grounds are well taken care of and are comfortably welcoming This hotel is a mature adult hotel much different from some a half of a mile away Would recommend!

This hotel is excellent The staff was friendly and outstanding The free breakfast buffet was good, had lots of variety, and we loved it

The pool has the most amazing view of the beach whether you’re in the pool or on the pool deckThe rooms were laid out very nicely, had a good sized balcony and the most gorgeous amazing views! They were also clean, and bug free The kitchen was a nice addition, but the hotel also has a filtered water dispenser and provided a pitcher in the room- which I thought was an excellent bonus! There was always ice available in the machines – it never ran out and the ability to do laundry and not fly home with stinky clothes was niceOur entire family absolutely loved this place and we can’t wait to go back!

Overall it was pretty good We enjoyed our little weekend away However, there are some things that need improvement

We were on the 5th floor and the palm trees blocked over half of our balcony view The landscaping is pretty, but we want to see the beach! Definitely need to trim them up Breakfast was pretty good, but it says that Breakfast is open til 10:30 We went down at 10:02 and the lady told us they weren’t putting more food out because it was almost closing time

The positives are that the staff is friendly and happy to help! The staff truly made my stay enjoyable The prices are affordable and it’s a huge plus that they are dog friendly The canal view is wonderful and a great place to relax and read a book

However, the staff decided to hang a TV on the most beautiful aspect of this resort and it obstructs the view and is a terrible eye sore Bad idea to hang a TV out on the back canal space!! Who is going to watch TV anyway? The rooms are clean! The location is great and super convenient for most places on Cape Coral! If you are a smoker, this is the place for you! I don’t smoke so the constant smoking on the patio was horrible I smelled anything from cigar, cigs and marijuana smoke while I stayed hereDuring my stay, I did hear chain saws for 4 days while they were doing landscape work to palm trees and that was annoyingThe walls are very thin so I heard everything from the next door neighborThe fire alarms are so sensitive that I could not use the toaster in my room My dog was traumatized by the constant fire alarms going off whenever a guest decided to cook anything

When we originally checked in we were told room 100 on the second floor the door code would not work on room 100 on the first floor but did work on the one for the second floor Then when we tried to get back into the room and the code wouldn’t work the girl acted like we were trying to break into someone else’s room even though I grabbed my wallet from the room and showed her my ID the same one she had check me in with The air conditioner in the room barely cools the room

The refrigerator was not cold when we checked in because they wire had gotten stuck between the door and the frame of the refrigerator keeping it open Then on Saturday when we were going to go swimming there was a large group of people with coolers and food having a get-together at the pool so we chose to wait a while and give them room once we went down there we got in the pool for all of ten minutes at which point the party left and the associate working came out and informed us that even though it was only 7:30 she was closing the pool because she was leaving Then I saw her get into the vehicle with some of the people that we’re having the party around the pool I understand that we are just guests staying here but the rules should apply to everybody and that would include the pool staying open until dusk to where we can use the amenities that are listed on the website This is not our first time staying here and every other time the visits for wonderful but this time it is a total letdown and certainly not the hotel we grew to love due to what has happened we are no longer going to try to book 8 rooms and bring our family here because on a spur of the moment the amenities that we pay for can be taken away You have my information on file so the owners more than welcome to call me

I’ll start with the good stuff:The staff is professional, the beds are comfortable, it is dog friendly, it is affordable, and the back deck is pretty and relaxingThe not so good:(Note: I tried to discuss this feedback with the motel via email before leaving a review, but never received a response)Within five minutes of walking in we discovered the coffee table was broken – the top was not attached to the pedestal and it fell off exposing screws and splintered wood We told the staff immediately but it took two days for someone to remove it

Around 7:30 on our second night our smoke detector started chirping There was no staff on site, we called a number posted on the office door and did reach someone, but they couldn’t/wouldn’t do anything so we removed the battery so we could sleep At 4am the second smoke detector started chirping every three minutes We stacked up some furniture to stand on to take it down but the whole experience was miserable I understand smoke detectors can be finicky but I in my experience testing them and changing the batteries regularly can prevent the chirpingOther things that were broken around the room:–The doorknob receiver on the bathroom door wasn’t attached–The hair dryer didn’t work (but someone did replace it while we were there!)–A kitchen light flickered off and on–One window in the bedroom wouldn’t open, but the other one did–The door to the room had a metal strip across the bottom that screeched loudly against the floor every time the door was open

I’m going to give the truth the great, good, bad and ugly on this spot:This is a very unique hotel but I definitely would say it’s a stretch from calling it a “resort” If you are looking for an old Florida beach borderline roughing it feel this is the right one! Having said that, our entire family has had an absolute blast here !! When you pull up it’s full of color and vibrancy, but take care In knowing the parking is extremely tight and Precarious Back up cameras are a must! You will immediately be Greeted by loud and I mean LOUD party music going late into the night that you will not escape the entire time you are here

Again if you have the mindset of wanting to party this place is for you! If you want to relax in calm surroundings-stay far away I will say that once you get into your room you can’t hear it as much and you get used to it after a while Inside the room it’s extremely basic, not much seating, I would bring extra if you can and bring extra towels and blankets, the rooms are freezing! We were pleasantly surprised At how clean it was! The service from the staff is great as well as room service and quality of food , top notch !! Location seriously cannot be beat as well as price ! I’m giving it less than 5 because once you are here you will see they are just being lazy about alot of things that would make your stay more comfortable while pushing the Florida beach party vibe as their top priority If you keep this in mind you will have an amazing time here!

This hotel is excellent If you are looking for a 5 – 6 star hotel and complain about this hotel, shame on you it is not thatThis place is family and budget friendly

The place is super cute It has an excellent location Some rooms are old and some new Super fun poolsMost rooms have balconiesThe only reason I did not award 5 stars is because of the cleanliness of the room itself and some other details Room for improvement for sureI will definitely come back and next time with my family

We were so pleased with our stay! We went on a family vacation and had no clue what to do and where to stay Our stay was great, clean rooms, friendly staff

they gave us great recommendations for family stuff to do in the area! I thought it was weird the bathroom door didn’t have a lock on it but that’s was minor We would absolutely stay here again!

If you have children & are planning to stay a couple of days, then I’d say you can “tough it out” The pool/sun tanning area in the back courtyard is perfect for kids & adult relaxation (no lifeguard) It’s updated & has lots of “curb appeal’

But if you’re a couple & want a better or upgraded experience, this may not be the hotel for you No central air Their units work, but not at optimal performance The room is musty & damp The rug never seems to be 100% dry I think the filters need to cleaned or replaced Mattress too “sunk-in” Staff friendly Excellent parking (front & rear)

Our morning flight was canceled and we quickly booked a room at the Crowne Plaza Ft Myers at Bell Towers Megan, at the front desk, was extremely helpful and understanding

She held our bags and let us know as soon as our room was ready (way ahead of check in time) Restaurant staff and housekeeping/maintenance staff were also helpful and courteous Nice workout facility and pool This is a great location with plenty of things to do to fill a day of unexpected down time

I had an absolutely wonderful time staying here at Latitude 26! I stayed here in October with 2 friends The staff were all very personable, friendly and more than willing to help with any request The amenities were unlike any hotel I had stayed at anywhere else

Gas BBQ grill, gas flat top grill, outdoor gas fire tables just to name a few all of which we used with zero problem! The pool was phenomenal and the view at the back of the property was amazing as well! I HIGHLY recommend staying here if you’re ever visiting Ft Myers! The location is just minutes away from “Times Square” and several entrances to the beach!
