My son and I stayed for the week and it was amazing!! The staff and Manager were friendly, professional and catered to all of our needs I was so impressed!! They have a delicious breakfast buffet daily and the food at the restaurant was excellent The hotel sits on the beach so having daily beach access with towels and chairs provided was awesome

We will definitely be back Thank you very much for allowing us to have a memorable vacation❤️🏝🌞Stephanie and Tanner

We had a fabulous 4 day romantic getaway! From the front desk staff, the valet staff, outdoor staff (everyone, particularly Kenny and Kelsey) everyone was so friendly, efficient and nice! The beach is amazing, pool area great, room comfortable and sparkling clean! If you are a bit of a vampire like me and can’t be in the sun all day, the poolside cabana was so fabulous and well worth the nominal fee! We had breakfast indoors one day then lunch and cocktails at the pool a couple of days and everything was great! The only thing I would say we didn’t love was the coffee in the lobby, it was pretty awful, but the in room coffee was just fine!

Leann Fiore

The customer service here is incredible Every staff greeted me in the hallways with friendly conversations, and wanted to make our stay the best it could be with early check in and beach access The manager was on the beach with us checking in his business casual clothes! Gabriel from valet helped load our bags into our Uber! The room had extras of everything so we didn’t run out and the full size toiletries on the shower wall were appreciated

Hotel is right on the beach with free chairs and easy access

Crystal ‘Bay’ Blake

We enjoyed our stay at this resort They Valet outside was great and patient as we waited for the rest of our party, our receptionist, Jason was top notch getting us accommodated

It is a little pricey, with parking and views, but so is everything in south Florida on beachfront resorts Our room was phenomenal and spacious! Also, there were free drinks at bar during happy hour! We were extremely happy with our stay!

ashley castellano

Our room suite was very spacious and clean This is definitely a family friendly hotel and the atmosphere was very calm and relaxed Totally appreciate that

The hotel staff is also incredibly friendly and I love how everyone seemed happy and cheerful They really try to ensure that guests enjoy their vacations and feel catered to The only minor and I mean very minor, thing I didn’t like was that the restaurant didnt feel like a restaurant because it’s also used as a seating area for breakfast and the evening receptions If they actually had a stand alone restaurant, this place would be flawless Overall, very clean, quiet, and amazing staff We would definitely come back again

Laurie Wiese

Enjoyed our stay at this oceanfront resort Suites are spacious with two bathrooms, shower in one and tub/shower in the other Hotel is overdue for an update but remains in overall good condition

Front desk staff was courteous upon check in/out Restaurant bar staff as well as beach chair/umbrella attendant nice and accommodating Onsite restaurant had good food Breakfast was good but in need of additional staff to clear tables and maintain breakfast buffet area which was a mess Beautiful beach, good pool and jacuzzi Lots of fun!

Overall, I had an excellent stay at the Boca Raton rendition of the Wyndham The rooms were great, the pool was a blast, and the service was phenomenal The man that brought it all together was Charles Jones, who works at the front desk

His service was second to none and his familiarization with the local area was top notch which enhanced my experience in Boca Raton Charles went above and beyond to ensure that my friends and I maximized the time that we had here

Melanie Holmes

Room was clean, stay was great Albert at the front desk treated us like family We had an unexpected overnight stay due to flight cancellation and weather

Albert found us a room and accommodated all 4 of us We asked about food around that we could get (0030 pickings were slim), he informed us what was close When we unloaded and came to our room, he had left us a care package In this day and time people like Albert are few and far between Albert has restored my faith! Wyndham Boca should be grateful to have him representing them Thank you Albert!! 💕

George Arnold

It’s not a bad place It’s an old Boca accommodation Still has the stinky gooey rugs under the bathroom sink? ( in the bedroom

Think hygiene, think wet rug, and toe funguses, WHY in the bedroom??? And not in the bathroom???)A noisy air conditioner is in every roomIf you have not experienced this before you need to learn how to yell hereIt’s an old place, and is not all bad, I do think they are improving!New paint, very good housekeeping, friendly employeesGreat pool, few kids mid weekLots of good food choices to walk toI’ll probably go back! It brings back the memories It’s oldBoca

Hotels can always be a challenge no matter what brand but this one was fine despite some room for improvement Its not cheap, stayed in the 1 bedroom suite $$ traveling with my pup so having the corner room with separate bedroom is a must Full kitchen and mostly remodeled except for the old tub with no safety bars & very low toilet making it a challenge for anyone over 50! 😉

If they just finished the job it would be a 5 star Location on 95 and lots of nice grassy areas to walk your pup Noticed some mold in the corner so again a more thorough maintenance upkeep of these pricey rooms would help Staff very nice & accommodating Better than other properties, no bugs at least and nice pool area

DENISE WEST

The location is okay It’s in a business park so you don’t real know it’s there but still very accessible to the highway, restaurants, beaches and entertainment Breakfast is included so that’s a plus and it’s good

There were scrambled eggs, bacon or sausage, biscuits, bagels, muffins, yogurt, fruit, oatmeal and cereal everyday day, along with cold and hot beverages The rooms are decent and clean but the furniture and the kitchen within your room could stand an upgrade Online there’s an option to select 2 queen beds; however, this location only has rooms with king beds The staff is very welcoming and accommodating I’d stay here again

Nabilah Miah

Has to be one of the worst hotels out of the 247 Marriott locations I’ve been in They don’t return phone calls or emails in a sufficient manner From the most minor detail to the major they will do everything possible to come up with excuses to not solve your issue

My wallet was swollen with cash and coins on a day housekeeping was not suppose to enter, having two messages the day before and morning off stating no one would come in Reported it and called the police Pompano Beach Police stated this is the most popular location they get phone calls for and they told me it is the most unprofessional and confused team around the areaTheft occurred in a large sum and the hotels response was we interviewed our housekeeping members and they didn’t take it No one in their right mind will agree to theft especially if it was executed undetected Lack of customer service at this hotel and they will not make the customer happy not even with points for their errorOlder hotel with terrible management It is in desperate need of remodeling and new carpets The grill works once in a blue moon and if you raise concern, they shut you outStayed over a month and it had to be the worse experience Hilton all the way, switching to the better brand where the GM calls to apologize if there’s a light bulb that isn’t working

I live in Miami & wanted a quick, close getaway I found it to be a nice, older resort with surprising amenities like an indoor & outdoor pool, hot tub & a sauna which other resorts don’t offer, at least none of the ones I’ve stayed at and I’ve stayed at many The interior of the rooms are much better than the exterior of the buildings but the resort is extremely clean all around the property

The staff are warm, welcoming & helpful, especially Tess at the Front Desk She has a wonderful personality and is doing an amazing job I feel like I left a friend there I truly enjoyed my stay I highly recommend this resort & look forward to returning soon

Justin Ramsey

While this place isn’t the fanciest, it is a pretty good value We stayed in an ocean-front studio for 3 days over new years and had a great time! The room was clean and the view couldn’t be beatThe kitchen was small but serviceable for breakfast every morning

The balcony overlooking the beach was great! There are a bunch of other amenities (pools, hot tubs, etc) which we did not use but looked nice!

margarita uricoechea

We were pleasantly surprised by this hotel It has direct access to one of the nicest parts of the beach (water sports area) , and the rooms are nicely decorated You can tell them really care how it looks

In this same trip we have stayed in hotels that cost 3 times or more and not the same attention to detail The wall art is not monotonous, it’s actually a nice touch Be advised that all units I believe have a full kitchen with full size refrigerator Location is very central too The reception area is off-putting but that was the only issue we weren’t so happy We paid for a studio but when they asked us to change room they upgraded us to a 1BR The studio was perfectly nice

We stayed here on two occasions and are really satisfied with everything Having the whole villa to yourself and being on a beachfront location, it is really amazing Staff is very courteous and ready to assist with whatever you need

Pool is great as well as beach grounds It is like a private little resort you have to enjoy all to yourself We will be back in the future as this gem cannot be found everywhere

Tina B

The beds in both villas we stayed in were horrible The most uncomfortable experience ever Individual owners own each villa and reviews online of guests experiences does not tell the whole picture

The mattress’ in both villas felt like you were sleeping in a hole on both sides of the master bed You could actually see the craters with the bed made!!! Pillows were stained and old Ants were everywhere in the first villa Iguana and lizard infestation at the whole resort You can’t walk 2 steps without seeing tons I would say call the resort before booking to find out which BM villas have a newer mattress Otherwise yoir stay will be bad

Not sure what place these 5 star reviewers stayed, because this place is a dump

everything is old and creepy Any renovations, which were done years ago, look to be homemade and not properly finished It’s also on a sketchy block I am warning y’all in advance, you’ll be sorry if you book this place, it’s nothing like the pictures would lead you to believe They should be charging $39 a night for this place, not $170

The Hillsboro Beach Resort: WOW It is the most picturesque place Walking out of the hotel towards the pool or beach provides a spectacular view of the ocean

It’s the most quaint and posh resort nestled amongst beautiful mansions and condos We met the General Manager), the bar manager Anthony, Natasha and the head Chef Jason at restaurant Rio, from which we ordered varied items from the lunch menu each day and we were pleased with every mean, Hilber (what was his name?) served us by the pool and at dinner on our last night there The room and view of the Ocean from the balcony was so awesome The maids and staff were attentive and wonderful The property l, staff and amenities are top notch We enjoyed laying in the super plush double cabana each day Really can’t say enough about this place and dying to get back!

This is my first time in this hotel and it was a tremendous experience Everyone that works there is very professional, courteous, nice, and friendly But there are two people in particular that I have to say that they stood out above everyone else

Those two people are the bartender named Renee and the front desk named Cristian They both have excellent costumer service, extremely attentive, very nice and friendly as well as very caring and always going out of their way to make your stay the most perfect one that you can have I am very much impressed with them both because now a days you do not come across employees like that I hope that they both stay at this hotel as long as possible and that they both get a raise and that your company sees that they are both very good assets Thank you very much

Jenny Avila

We are currently on night 3 of a 4 night stay here It is absolutely wonderful I have stayed at many hotels and this one has been an amazing value

I read many, many reviews before booking and I haven’t encountered any of the issues shared by the negative reviews The front desk staff has been so friendly and accommodating The location is perfect- right on the beach with views from our balcony It is about a 15 minute walk to restaurants and amenities in the main part of Pompano Beach, but a 5 minute drive The pool area is beautiful and continuous with the beach, which is perfect for my small children to choose between beach and pool time The breakfast quality has been delicious with many options, even gluten free! And the breakfast staff have been amazing too The room is huge and has everything you need for a longer stay- a kitchen with a full size fridge and a washer and dryer are huge perks for us, travelling with small kids The beds are very comfortable Some reviews have mentioned outdated furniture It’s not the newest, but it is perfectly functional and for me I’d rather pay an affordable price than have a bunch of fancy stuff You do have to pay nightly for valet parking but they are super fast and we have enjoyed having that as a service to make our stay even easier Will 100% be back

Nestor Ciprian

This was the nicest Residence Inn I have seen They did not have my room ready but the front attendant invited me to go to the beach and hang there until the room was ready As I went to the beach, I was given towels and the staff at the beach set me up with lounge chairs and umbrellas

The hotel has a cool restaurant, it is on the water, and the view is oceanfront in majority of the rooms By the way, it is probably because it is off season, but it was less than $170 per night I will definitely comeback and stay here

I will definitely be back It takes 5 minutes to walk to the Atlantic Ocean from here Deerfield beach is beautiful

I feel so relaxed staying here and it’s gonna be hard to leave Just to give a fair honest review it’s past midnight and I can hear people still hanging out at the pool so noise can be an issue I still love it though The pool is right in the center of the property and the rooms surround it That is the only thing I don’t likeThey really need 24 hour staffUpdate: March 2, 2022 They never refunded the $200 dollars back like they said they would I’m assuming they charged that for people that smoke in the rooms I have never smoked They kept that money for no reason I stayed 6 days and it was around $2,000 dollars

Austin Gutterman

This was the worst experience I have ever had at a hotel The room was not updated like the pictures are online, plus the air conditioning in the rooms are terrible On our second night staying here we found approximately 50 bugs crawling around in our sink and coming from the walls

We went to the front desk and they were not able to do anything that night When we talked to a manager they only could do a 10% discount for that night, even though we were living in unsafe conditions I highly advise against staying here and I will never stay here again

Cathleen Hopkins

Nicely remodeled rooms This place has a courtyard pool with all rooms within 30ft Of the pool

There are parties at the pool by guests nighly until all hour of the morning Four night in a row of 15-20 people checking in and at the pool yelling and partying with no help from management They book low class party people, do not stay hear if going to sleep before midnight is important or if you have kids They do not close the pool at 8PM as advertised and stated at check in

Wow Stayed here for a business trip and it was amazing! Honestly, it was the nicest hotel I have ever been in and the staff was so friendly At times this level of comfort was unusual to me and I felt a bit out of place

5 star treatment and luxury at this expansive resort From the moment you arrive, you will feel pampered at every level From valet remembering your name all week to the great conversations with the water taxi Captain, you can really get a feeling that the staff loves their jobs and want you to provide the highest level possible

I recommend staying at the Beach Club, but would only shy away from the bongolows They are off the path and a little harder to get to The main building, Tower and Beach club are all amazing in the own ways This will be a pricey stay, but you will free refreshed, relaxed and pampered by the time you leave

The hotel is nice, the rooms are well kept I was surprised with all the renovations still taking place arpund the resort that the hotel is still operating at full pricing The entrance way is under construction and isn’t such a beautiful experience to arrive to

They could redirect the main entrance to make a better experience There aren’t as many services right now because of the construction Many restaurants are closed or have moved out (there used to be far more restaurants on-site) Most of the staff are courteous and will take care of things for you As long as you don’t have an issue with your room if you do, give up and stay elsewhere because you can tall and text for 2 days without them taking care of you I’m still waiting for them to fix or replace something in my room

Matthew Wheeler

My family has invited me for a vacation at this hotel for many years I give it only 4 stars for this 5 star hotel because after it was privately bought out, it has gone down hill in terms of service My family was overcharged $1200, the shower was broken, the staff isn’t knowledgeable about anything other that’ll where your room is, etc

if you can look past that, the ground and properties like the beach club that you have access are absolutely gorgeous The new lazy river was a great addition and their food has always been delicious Just said that their service hasn’t been up to par

The Boca Raton is a unique golf and pool resort with “exclusivity” as one of it’s main appeals The grounds are very well kept and the older main building is full of detail and surrounded and filled with a wide range of sculptures and art The conference center is sizable like a Gaylord but compact so you don’t have to walk forever to get to or around it

The pool bar closed at 5pm which seemed way too early The lobby bar was always full and the staff seemed a bit challenged to keep up with the demand The room I stayed in this time was five star all the way except the sink didn’t drain I hope they have refurbished all of the rooms to this level because it was a perfectly appointed and super comfortable room I had stayed years ago and didn’t remember my room being that nice before They were working on refurbing the chapel space which is beautiful and suitable for a decent sized indoor wedding although you might opt for one of several outdoor spaces Bottom line I recommend it for weddings and conferences where you can bring your family too and enjoy some golf

overall the hotel was nice and beautiful the balcony was nice it was really clean when i first got there

But i’ve never receive housekeeping my entire stay i requested for it on the third day and they still did not clean my room or restock towels That was quite bothersome but having a digital key and being able to check in and out on my phone was amazing!

I recently stayed at the Waterstone Hotel and paid around $469 per night It was a really bad experience The caulk/seal at the base of my shower was non-existent and every time I took a shower there was a significant amount of standing water all over the bathroom floor

Due to COVID, the hotel is not servicing (cleaning) rooms unless you ask them too So I had to call the front desk and request a new bath mat and a few towels to replace all the towels I had to use to dry off the bathroom floor The staff at the front desk were not polite and seemed to be stretched too thin When you call the front desk (as a guest), the phone would ring 15 times, they would pick up the phone, and put you on an immediate hold If I was paying $69 a night, I would not complain about any of these items Paying more than $450 per night and experiencing these issues was just not expected I am not staying here again

Loved the resort, the food, as well as the service Michael, Gabby, and the manager Tim were very helpful, patient, and exceptional in going through great lengths to make sure any accommodations I have had were met It was my first time staying at this resort, and it DEFINITELY won’t be my last

The servers at their restaurant were phenomenal as well Thanks again for a great stay!

Great hotel and staff! The room was small, but modern, and had a great view of the ocean Lots to do in the hotel with the pool, pool table, and a couple of old-school video games in the lobby There were a few bikes right outside the lobby as well

I think you had to rent them, but it was nice to have them close by The rooftop bar and sitting area were nice to enjoy in the evening The staff was great in pulling over an umbrella to our chairs to shield us from the Florida sun They have a decent breakfast in the morning as well, but no microwaves on the Tru property side (It’s attached to a Home2 Suites) The hotel is close to the beach, and several restaurants There’s even an ice cream shop and a store to purchase your beach supplies nearby Just about everything you need is within walking distance, just steps outside the lobby doors You don’t need a car unless you plan to go sightseeing It’s a great quiet, family-friendly hotel We enjoyed the quiet few days that we spent there

If you’re looking for a place near the beach in Pompano this is it Room was OK It was clean

If you’re staying more than a day know that there are no closets or dressers and the room is tiny even to live out of a suitcase Front desk staff was helpful and kind Breakfast is about what you’d get from heating up Jimmy Dean in the microwave at home BUT the staff there in the morning was kind and upbeat and friendly making the food more than bearable If you’re looking for a place to sleep when at the beach this is great If you’re hotel is going to be a part of your vacation and not just where you sleep at night just know what your getting Overall it was a fine place and I’d go there again if on business in Pompano I arrived there on a Tuesday and was initially planning to stay through Sunday with Thursday – Sunday being vacation in the Miami area I elected to move to a different hotel on Thursday precisely because I wanted amenities Tru doesn’t offer and there’s nothing wrong with that Again, the staff was great

The hotel was outstanding for the location, however we had reservations for a balcony room and didn’t receive that The room was clean and the staff down stairs were great During check in they asked when the cleaning lady should come by

We stated everyday just for towel and nothing else We received one set of towels during our stay for four days The room was clean other than that

We are loving our stay! MJ who checked us in and I believe is the manager is SO sweetOur room is nice Can tell the whole place is newly finished

We didn’t need a kitchen for our long weekend but the kitchen is great if you need oneLocation is amazing Less than a 5minute walk to the beach and multiple great restaurantsThe parking being included is a huge plusThe rooftop pool is great Refreshing and a view of the oceanWe nearly stayed at a chain hotel until I read recent reviews of it that all noted a broken elevator and the place needing serious updates We are so glad we swapped to this gem, Vistalmar, last minute!

Great place to stay! Check-in was easy due to great service Wi-fi and a parking spot included with the room were huge pluses The kitchen was great, especially the full size fridge with an ice maker and cold water dispenser

Rooftop pool was clean and set at a good temp; wasn’t freezing but also wasn’t hot, surprising for a rooftop pool in a Florida summer

AC was odd but worked Tiny kitchen with most stuff you need Only edibles are salt and pepper Very close to a Publix grocery storeThe sand is perfect Got to see a turtle in the late evening Shared sand toys and beach chairs Nice long walk to the free pier Lucky Fish restaurant just past the pier is goodPlenty of parking

Destiny Payton-Williams

Decent hotel, plenty of towels, dinnerware, pots, pans, etc… Great location The walk to the beach is BEAUTIFUL It took me a minute to figure out where the bed was, (lol!) but all great from there

I would recommend adding a top latch for the inside of the room doors and fixing the broken gate, outside, on the west end I was a little paranoid about my kiddos taking off But, room was clean, the place was quiet and relaxing, but also family friendly!

Patricia Truschel

I love the Sands! A historic treasure that I found extremely clean with exceptionally helpful and kind employees (everyone I met was wonderful), incredible views, fantastic tiki and restaurant/bar, and a beautifully maintained pool At night time, the lights in this place accentuate and compliment the beautiful property on the water Soothing and welcoming

To be fully transparent and honest, I was a little concerned when I first entered my room because it’s very outdated But there are very few historic hotels that don’t go through periods of transition, and the Sands is in a stage of upgrades What really blew me away is how meticulously maintained this property is The staff works so hard not just to welcome you to the property, but also to ensure all your needs are met and the room you have reserved is meticulously cleaned I was extremely pleased I was extremely comfortable, felt safe, and I slept better at the Sands than I have in nearly any other hotel True story 💜I look forward to returning to the Sands It’s a gem!

Overall I had a good experience It would have been nice if breakfast was available, and for my room to be cleaned I would often need to talk to the cleaning staff myself for my room not to be passed over The front desk gentlemen was professional and made a positive impact on my time here

The location is quiet and I would recommend this place to those not seeking a bustling nightlife Very chill environment If the stars ever align correctly I would like the chance to come back Something to note that wasn’t super clear on some travel sites is that there was a $200 deposit and parking is not included (5 day stay cost me about $120) Something to keep in mind
