My husband and I stayed at this lovely BnB nestled back off the road owned by Wallace and Nancy

My friend actually had told me about their place, so I had to check into staying there for our anniversary getaway Wow!! St Francis Cottage was SO nice, not to mention conveniently located to nearby restaurants and shopping It’s also not too far from local attractions Chattanooga is a nice area! The owners thought of everything that you may need during your stay Having snacks and beverages available in the dining area added a nice touch too! Loved the fresh fruit dishes every morning, especially their version of Waldorf Salad Delicious!!! Overall we enjoyed our stay and wouldn’t mind staying there again Thank you Wallace & Nancy for being such great hosts Wish you all the best God bless!

David Smith

We visited St Francis Cottage for our daughter’s graduation from UTC and this was our first experience with a bed and breakfast and the best! Wallace and Nancy are wonderful hosts and made us feel completely at home We enjoyed the Monarch room that was beautifully decorated with an incredible view of the gardens

Breakfast was beautifully presented and delicious along with fresh ground coffee and dessert What a treat! We appreciate all the little touches like extra supplies you may have forgotten set outside the room and recommendations on parks to visit Thank you Wallace and Nancy for providing a hidden oasis in Chattanooga We will be visiting again!

What a great value! Got this booking on a Priceline opaque deal (they just give me a price, not the hotel) and I am so glad I did thatHotel was recently renovated and it shows Clean room, clean bed

I like the concrete floors too, hotel carpet always is gross The room is a bit small but traveling solo it’s perfect If I had the whole family it’d be a squeeze but it might work Room has a microwave and mini fridge which used to be common but seems to be going away in a lot of budget hotelsDesk manager was very friendly and helped me with parking a large moving truck and trailerSuper Convenient to I-75 and surrounded by a bunch of food options and walkable to a gas station next door with a lot of optionsChattanooga is always my half way point stop-off on road trips between Michigan and Florida I’ve stayed in a number of hotels on this strip but never this one specifically I’ll definitely be staying here from now on

Lauri komita

The staff was very friendly The room was clean Rooms were recently renovated and nice

Has cement floors that were cold but so much cleaner than carpet! Was nice to have a breakfast but was just cereal and toast Coffee was hot You will definitely have road noise if on that side We were on backside of motel so was not an issue Bed was supposed to be a queen but was a double Front desk argued that it was but I measured and was not Electric went out Staff got it back on Said we’d be reimbursed with some credit but we never were and front desk said they couldn’t at check out

Arrived at 1020 pm on a hot July night to arrive in a 90+ degree room on the top floor Apparently the “eco friendly” AC turns off if it doesn’t sense movement… so here we are at almost 11 pm sweating waiting for the AC to make it a decent temperature in here to be able to sleep Hope we don’t have to jump around the room in the middle of the night to make it keep working

The hotel was lovely, and the staff was exceptional! We stayed there after our wedding, and shout-out to Mark and Ben for their extra superb service There was an issue with the AC, but Ben got it fixed for us, and Mark helped us unload and store some wedding items while we were there The manager, however, was lacking communication and did not remember that we had a late checkout even with written proof, and he seemed aloof and not in tune with his staff

We loved the hotel decor, Syrup and Eggs, and the staff, and again, shout-out to Mark and Ben!!

Allison L

Worth going to Chattanooga just for this hotel! Beautiful and quirky rooms, great tiki bar, but the star is the service Everyone who works there goes out of their way to make you feel at home It’s seriously Ritz Carlton level service

My husband and I set out to walk to dinner and 5 minutes later a storm moved in Just as we dashed under a store awning, the hotel manager (who had just given us directions, so knew where we were) drove up offering an umbrella She also offered to drive us to the restaurant, but we just gratefully accepted the umbrella Will definitely be back to this welcoming and well-appointed establishment Highly recommend

Lennert

The Dwell Hotel has a unique character and exceptionally attentive staff I was escorted to my room, where another staff member – notebook and pencil in hand – was inspecting it in detail to see if it was ready This kind of customer service and attention to detail seems to be rare these days, which makes it all the more refreshing when you see it still exists! Highly recommended and will be back soon

Excellent hotel for the price! The staff was kind and accommodating, the room was old, but very clean It even had a kitchenette! The price was very good for what we got Absolutely would recommend for anyone looking to save money while still having a clean, enjoyable stay

(The pictures were after I messed up the room It was very clean and tidy when I walked in)

Debora McMullin

Quick one night visit with our oldest Grand and picked Mainstay on just a whim Online pics looked good and within our price tolerance Phone call to Rich on the front desk – got us fixed up with a good price

Entire facility was neat and clean, double bed room was large – spacious – full size fridge – microwave – dishwasher No fuss no muss and coffee in the morning Don’t offer breakfast but that was no deal breaker for us Excellent value in a straight forward deal 5/5

J G

Our room was a bit crowded with 4 people It was wonderful to have a full-size fridge/freezer The toilet flush was quiet so we didn’t all wake up when someone got up in the middle of the night

The room was clean They had a dehumidifier in the room which helped immensely with the damp, humid weather in Chattanooga The first morning there was smoke coming from the toaster but we cleaned it out and was not a problem the rest of our stay There is no breakfast included contrary to what the website says

Location is very busy, but that’s what you’d expect for the area Lots of restaurants and shopping nearby, and a great continental breakfast in the morning Some staff was fantastic, others were a bit iffy

Loved the ladies cleaning the rooms! So personable and welcoming A major breath of fresh air, and our kids loved their smiling faces

Amy Lenz

Stopped in for a short overnight (got there after 12) but had a good impression Lobby was expansive but somehow still cozy Rooms were comfortable and efficient

Lots of food options nearby (which we didn’t get to enjoy) Only “down-side” was house-keeping knocking on our door a little after 10am Granted, I didn’t have the sign on the door but was letting my son sleep in, so equally my fault Didn’t get to try breakfast Would definitely stay here again

Adra Maxwell

The bathroom here in our room is EXTREMELY small Room was somewhat clean The bedskirt on both beds has stains/dirt on both beds

I was not happy about that The ac did work great though So that’s a plus I did enjoy breakfast, as it was hot Scrambled Eggs, sausage, boiled eggs, muffins, etc Some of the TV channels weren’t working, not sure why

This hotel receives my highest recommendation The staff are absolutely the best Just nice people

The customer service tops everything The facility is very clean and smells very good The rooms are very good The standing shower is spacious and done well The breakfast is decent The hotel is right off the freeway and has some decent dining options nearby I have one suggestion for the management Please use raised toilets and have a bar on the wall for support I have a back issue that bothers me every now and then So, a raised toilet and a bar to hold and pick myself up would help a lot I am certain some other customers might find these to be useful features Overall, just a wonderful place and experience

Sam

So I have been staying at this hotel for 7 months now I have seen it decline over the time I wanted to think it was staffing issues, but now I’m sure it is all the way to the top management

The staff has become rude, the rooms are not as clean and the over hotel is declining I have tried a few time to reach the GM to let them know and have not heard back from him now after 3 attempts I no longer stay here as I have chosen a new hotel to stay at for my weekly trips I stay at Hilton properties 5 to 6 days a week for work So please understand it’s not a meaningless review They need to look at this property before it gets to the point of no return I hope someone sees this and takes it to heart and not just let things slide Best of luck with this hotel They will not treat you any better and it will be a luck of the draw if you get a clean room

PM Biffa

Brand new hotel in a new complex of restaurants including a steak restaurant, Mexican, pizza, and brands including Dixie Queen, Chick-fil-a and Starbucks Nice big rooms, immaculately clean and fully equipped

apart from a room safe!Good breakfast for this type of hotel Just a couple of downsides apart from no safe are; AC unit is to noisy and powerful It runs like crazy when it’s above temperature then stops, then off its goes again Would be nice if it just ran slow and continuous And ask for a room the opposite side from the Interstate! But generally a nice place albeit a little pricey for a 3 star

Reviews seem mixed, but we found this place to be clean, quiet and comfortable Decor & construction/remodel seem newish Staff was outgoing, friendly and helpful

My wife saw a hair somewhere in the bathroom- somehow our culture is conditioned to react to that with disgust (me included) but, like others have commented, for me it’s really not a big deal Shower water was 1/2 degree cooler than I’d have preferred- wish they had knobs that “…go to ELEVEN!” – but otherwise the shower was great, with nice shower head (clean, and new)

Beth Ann Mosley Pavlica

My stay was horrible The rooms feel dirty and dank The pool was nice

Our room had a terrible smell We were moved to a different room It was still less than desirable The evening check in staff was friendly but uneducated on how to properly complete check in for a guest whom has prepaid for the entire stay! I always book and pay prior to stay The hotel initiated a hold on my debit card for the COMPLETE stay amount!! Here it is 8 days later and the hold is still there!!!!!!!! This is like stealing money I have no access to those funds that I earned! Not to mention that I paid for the entire stay already and prior to checking in My family and I took this trip as a quick vacation for our son and you can imagine how it dampened the entire trip to know that the majority of spending money was tied up I spoke with the GM of the hotel and he comped our room and told me he released the hold I have contacted the CBO for Sonesta and I continue to be given the brush off My recommendation is DO NOT stay at this hotel It could be a very unfortunate experience

Nidhi Kikkeri

Stayed here over a weekend Room was clean King size bed was super comfortable

The room appeared to be smaller compared to in pictures It had a microwave and a refrigerator We could also go to the backyard from the room and spend time there Pool was very close Bathroom was clean Hotel staff were good Location is convenient and has multiple restaurants near by Overall, the place seems pricey

Nice hotel, aesthetically pleasing Functionally, the rooms lack comfort for the price The rooftop bar, the whiskey thief is great

The view from the pool area is amazing I would really call it more of a bathtub, not a pool The bathroom was the best part of a hotel room I would stay here again but would shop for a better deal than the $400 we paid for the night

Joshua Small

A quick get away for the wife and I This was an awesome location being right next to the pedestrian bridge and downtown Rooftop pool area very nice

Unfortunately was raining when we wanted to be out there so didn’t enjoy as much as we’d have liked Views from Whiskey thief are awesome and atmosphere very cool Overall a tad on the pricy side, but very nice to have the restaurant, views, pool, and access to the city all very near Rooms were very quiet and clean with a really cool artsy vibe Lounges were also very nice with a fireplace to set the mood Would only critique the staff every so slightly as we were looking for the Whiskey Thief and felt the staff could have been more helpful in directing us

Chris Gordon

The location for this hotel is unbeatable It was wonderful to have direct access to the pedestrian Bridge over the Tennessee River as well as it being just a short walk to various touristy areas in downtown Chattanooga The rooms were topnotch – I can’t think of any aspect that fell short

Service was also perfect They accommodated our schedule and came during our requested time frame each day That was especially nice since so many hotels have cut their service since returning to operations after covid The Whitebird restaurant provided excellent meals throughout the day as well

We booked three days online for this Holiday Inn Express for a small family vacation The first room they gave is hadn’t even been cleaned but had a note signed that it had The floors were very dirty, my son pulled out the couch for the pull out bed and there was literally leaves in the sheets

And stains everywhere It was late so I called down to customer service a gentleman answered the phone He did get us into another room but he seemed amused by the situation The next room key he gave my husband was to a room that was OCCUPIED ALREADY That was embarrassing So we went back to the desk for help for a third time, it was too late to change hotels They did get us into a handicap accessible room(the last one left)This room was cleaned much better However there was still tape left on the wall from a banner or party previously The bathroom was clean but the toilet paper roll holder was damaged and barely hanging on They do offer a breakfast every morning They offer a variety of hot and cold foods, juices and coffee The food was always hot and I would give it a mediocre rating, at no expense to the person preparing it They just should buy better quality food in my opinion But it does get the job done for breakfastOne of the elevators was broken when we first arrived but they had it fixed by the second day One did smell like smoke but that could have easily been a guest that did that Also our blinds did not work in one of our rooms at all I would not recommend this hotel It has potential but it needs some love(there was also a rip on the comforter)

Danny Wilson

The staff was very accommodating to our needs, and helped us get rooms for us on our super long drive , was very clean for the most part and welcoming the pool was nice an warm an well kept was very refreshing with the snowy weather that was outside Their was some minor issues in our room like the shower head was broken some but still functioned, a couple of the lights was burnt out but still had plenty of other light Besides that we enjoyed our stay

Mike Jones

Check in was great The rooms were fine The issues I had was when we were checking out in the morning the Breakfast was getting cleaned up 30 minutes before 10am on the weekend

We have two little children and we literally only had boiled eggs left of before 10am When we asked if we could still eat it wasn’t 10 yet, we were told it was time for them to clean up the meal area and they refused to stop If you’re going to have breakfast available you don’t put it up while guest are still eating and especially if its not 10am This created a huge ordeal This was very concerning and the staffs unwillingness to resolve it just provoked the issue further Thanks for the 15 hard boiled eggs (at least they gave us a bag to carry them out in) They even took the coffee out of the breakfast area I will never stay at this location again

Our stay here was pleasant We were in the historic tower The room was spacious, clean, and very nice

While we are here during the weekday, it is still a holiday week It would be nice for them to extend hours of the bar and room service Room service is only available on weekends One elevator didn’t work, so the wait for it was a little long We still loved our stay because we love the history of the building and will come back

Susan H

Immensely enjoyed our stay at Read House Our room was spacious and well appointed The bathroom was gorgeous with a huge walk in shower, elegant tile work and every surface gleamed

I don’t know what type of mattress they use there but it was like sleeping on a cloud! I would love to know what they use Best night’s sleep of my life! The hotel itself is just beautiful and the staff is so welcoming and inviting The very definition of customer service! From the valet parking staff, to the front desk, and the bellmen Matt and John in their gold vests and bowler hats, everyone was so friendly and accommodating And don’t miss the haunted room tour It really is fun!!I would stay here again at the drop of a (bowler) hat! Loved it!❤️

When I made the call to Ryan, covering the front desk, saying that we were very much delayed on our arrival, he was cheerful and courteous in his approach to the midnight show up time “Just take your time and be careful in your travels” he said, adding “We’ll be here waiting for you!” He and his counterpart took really good care of us and we were settled into our lovely water view unit very quickly Great night’s sleep was followed by a wonderful breakfast – coffee, tea, juice selections and lots of cereals, oatmeal, bagels, muffins, yogurts and hand held sausage/egg/cheese sandwiches

there might have been more – and all was included in the room price! Beautiful decor and unbelievably friendly staff everywhere As Marriott regulars, we were given the opportunity for a late (and I emphasize late) departure on our checkout day, allowing us to share some laughter and create joyful memories with our son and grandchildren at the indoor pool Thanks to Sarah – that sunny smile as we turned in the keys and your “please keep safe and come back again soon” comment made me want to share a genuine hug It was a GREAT experience and one that clinches my opinion that Marriott is the perfect place to stay!!

What a great view and location I always love being able to go for a nice stroll to the bridge and get some exercise with great views The staff have all been very friendly and accommodating

Definitely want to stay here again The firepit by the restaurant is nice to relax by and enjoy the river Didn’t try the restaurant connected but it looks tasty

The hotel does not honor booking by Bookings Saving a copy of the original receipt does not help The room has a dirty floor

The walls are paper thin and you hear everything from other rooms Parking is confusing and expensive The hotel looks promising but details matter, dirty floors, sheets that were purchased two thousand years ago, bed mattress from consolidated sales, and what appears to be mold in bathroom The choices are a plenty in Chattanooga and this hotel ain’t going to be my choice in the future Manager refused to honor the Bookings charge and explained how the parking is not their problem or responsibility and that the hotel charges extra for parking to recoup the charge for the city Jesse at the front desk was helpful

The hotel itself was very clean, somewhat updated and our room was nice The free breakfast, coffee and tea are great in the morning for something light to eat Checkout was easy, all done electronically and they had a place to drop off your keys at the desk

The area right where the hotel is has a couple restaurants and feels safe The East Ridge area surrounding the hotel is run down, in re-development stages and didn’t feel super safe, but we mostly utilized the hotel to rest our heads and sleep It’s about a 10 minute drive with no traffic to downtown Chattanooga, 20-25 minutes most times with traffic Staff were professional, friendly, and accommodating For the $160 per night I’d splurge and stay closer to downtown Chattanooga if we came again, where hotels prices were around $200+ per night, but located in nicer areas and more convenient for being centrally located to the downtown

My third and final stay at this Fairfield Inn It’s in a very convenient location for a stopover when driving between Florida and the Midwest The hotel is aging and badly in need of a refresh — including my lumpy bed

But that wasn’t what really bothered meI checked in during a heat wave and the outside temp was 104 The a/c in my room was actually turned off and the temp inside was 89 degrees It took two hours for the room to be comfortable Was the hotel saving money on electricity or does it have poor housekeeping practices? The next morning I was in a hurry to get back on the road for another 10 hour drive I found there was no hot water in the shower I didn’t have much time so I took a quick unpleasant cold showerWhile getting dressed I called the front desk and spoke to Clyde While he was polite he essentially blamed me for everything The room was too hot on check in? Well Clyde said — I should’ve asked for a different room After a 10 hour drive traveling alone with my dog — I want a room that’s maintained and I don’t accept it’s my job to let the hotel know when basic services aren’t providedAs to the shower Clyde offered to come up and fix it But this isn’t a resort hotel This is a moderately priced hotel on an interstate highway where people stay overnight I didn’t have time to wait for someone to come up and fix it I needed to get back on the road for another 10 hour drive How can the room be clean if the staff didn’t notice there was no hot water in the shower? It’s not my responsibility to tell the hotel that a room is uninhabitable and needs maintenance If the hotel is actually cleaning the room, how could staff not notice no a/c or hot water? Clyde tried to blame me saying I should’ve complained But Clyde is rejecting the basic concept here of a Marriott providing basic needs without having to ask for itI’ve stayed here twice before and won’t stay again Even without the problems — this is an aging property in a city filled with brand new hotels charging approximately the same price You can do much better than staying here

We stopped here just overnight so it would break up our long ride The hotel was clean Our sink was clogged and the sheets were stained, but the front desk staff was super friendly and they had a toothbrush for me because I left mine in the car

Random thoughts, but overall not a bad place, just not the best either We were safe and were able to get some sleep

This inn was amazing After driving from South Florida and staying in Savannah GA the night before, this was our first night in the mountains There were rocking chairs on the balcony that overlooked the river and had An absolutely gorgeous view of the mountains

The inn is settled right in the mountain literally around the corner from Ruby Falls When we got there, Mason was working and he was more than accommodating He made sure the fire pit was lit and we had sticks for roasting marshmallows He came down to help with the TV He was super pleasant and helpful and I know how busy he was The room was clean and even had cute folded washcloths with toiletries inside them The breakfast was in a quaint room that was half living room and half dining area The food was excellent…much better than a hotel chain The breakfast staff was friendly and chatty The pool looked great (there was lightning all night so we didn’t go in) The inn just had an overall quaint feeling with southern hospitality and rustic charm It was a great start to our vacation! Also the front desk has a cute gift shop

I don’t normally give a review but this Riverview Inn was exceptional Very cozy room and inviting when we walked in The bed was comfortable and clean however the pillows were too fluffy but Some people might like that

The views were gorgeous I loved that we could sit on the balcony and take in the scenery The fire pit was a nice surprise Parking was a bit of an issue for full size truck but that’s to be expected up on a narrow mountain top but we managed just fine I would recommend this lovely place ❤️
