Staff was amazing! Very friendly and so helpful! Everything was clean and tidy Breakfast was outstanding! So many different options to choose from, and the lady in charge of the breakfast area was super sweet The kids had a great time in the pool

But, I have the say the very best part were the beds Super comfortable! Slept like a baby the whole night!

Richard Arnold

Very nice customer service at check in The room was clean but the bathroom dated with sliding shower doors that were not on tracks and swinging freelyThe bed was extremely soft, little to no support and pillows half the size of a standard pillow

I have always enjoyed staying here but it is time for some updates and a return to the high standards of the past

Giraffe Elizabeth

The floors (carpets) were wet and sticky The shower in the first room wouldn’t turn off so they switched us rooms in which the shower didn’t turn on at all in the next The phone in the room didn’t work properly so we had to go to and from the front desk

The rooms smelled horribly There were bugs crawling on the breakfast food in the morning so we couldn’t even enjoy breakfast I won’t ever stay here again The bathrooms can’t be cleaned properly if the water isn’t working Idk how the hotel hasn’t addressed these issues by work order or anything, they have to know about it The hotel staff wasn’t really friendly at all either I’m shocked that Hilton/Hampton would allow their guests to be treated so terribly This hotel is miserable STAY AWAY!

Decent little long term hotel The staff was friendly and the stay was good until a family with 5 kids was placed above with no where to move them to There were a lot of surprise charges that i didnt expect as well and the price of the room for 30 days was higher than I was told it would be

The rooms were clean though and had everything you need to work and stay in town

Miss Fortune

I do not recommend this hotel, and I’m not surprised why their rating is 2 stars we arrive at the hotel at 3 pm, Staff was very rude, A 3/4 of our room floor was flooded, leaked from the air condition, the bathroom was dirty and lots of hair, our bed has signage of used and also there’s a lot of hair too, the couch was hairy too and the cup holder of the chair was terribly dirty I called and I told the staff/front desk my concern she said exactly “Oh I can’t transfer you, there’s no room available” rude and veryunhelpfull

after calling many hours in the main office, they finally give us a room around 2 am

Ben M

Beware this place has crooked management and needs new staff Along with over a thousand dollars worth of electronics stolen from the room, when room cleaning wasn’t even requested Management claimed to “look into it” and urged to not involve the police once the police were involved the manager refuses to show anyone the hallway recording, insisting nothing is shown on there

Not only is the MANAGER refusing to show the footage they’re also avoiding the detective that is trying to review the footage This place is a joke and needs to be avoided at all costs

although we found a bed bugs problem in our room, They did their best to solve the problem even though there was no available room to transfer us they help us to find another hotel and they even pay one night also, it’s because I booked the hotel through Agoda and it’s not refundable, they also help us so we can refund our money with no problem

I do recommend this hotel because of how they treat their guests, cleanliness, and being responsible and very helpful Thank you Fairfield staff for helping us, and making our vacation stress free

Best of the options in the area and overall a good experience; however, I’m a hard sleeper and don’t normally wake up to noises, but the walls were so thin I could hear everything happening in the hall or next door Additionally though the staff was nice the communication was lacking When I checked in they asked me if I wanted room service everyday

I said yes, however ended up having to go ask for it because no one came for three days at one point I also asked for a late check out, marylin was so nice and put a note on my account to allow me a late check out I stopped by the front desk on my morning of check out specifally asked if the note was still in there (give my lack of trust from the room cleaning incident) and was told it was I said “oh good because I’m going to shower and just didn’t want someone walking in” fast forward three hours, I’m finishing packing and freshly out of the shower and a housekeeper, without knocking, walks into my roomI told the front desk upon checking out and the gentleman did comp me $25Last thing was one weekday morning breakfast wasn’t put out at 6am I think someone was late for work, but no sign was posted and the front desk was not very apologeticOver all everyone was nice, it was clean, breakfast was good, laundry worked well And when I had issues with my government credit card at the end of stay they were very patient

Jodi Kellis

Update 17November2021: The management reached out and relocated me to a room in the nicer “actual” Holiday Inn The living conditions are on par with every other Holiday Inn I have stayed in They really need to renovate the other buildings to the same standard because it is a huge difference if you are not in the main building

Worst holiday inn I have ever stayed at Breakfast is good though

Rhonda Blasi

During my husband’s army career, we have been sent to Fort Rucker several times We have always stayed at the hotel on post, ranging anywhere from two weeks to three months This hotel is consistently clean

Every staff member who has helped us has been friendly, kind, and remarkably helpful They always go way above and beyond to ensure your stay is comfortable! They even cheerfully switched out our mattress for us after our housekeeper asked if we were comfortable enough! Everything is kept up really well, from paint to pest control The grounds are always well maintained The rooms are a bit dated, but they are slowly remodeling a little at a time I would 10/10 recommend this hotel to anyone for any length of stay!

Joshua Williams

Hotel exterior looks dated, but interior has been well refreshed Beds are comfortable TV is large with cable selection

WiFi was fast enough for streaming TV The breakfast had a good variety The biggest downsides were the small bathrooms, low hallway ceilings, and some wear and tear (carpets peeling up) All in all, the hotel is really nice compared to what it’s exterior would suggest Would stay again

I stayed here during a 6 month course at Rucker from June 2021 to December 2021 Outstanding location Tucked back down a quiet road about 6 mins from post

My site had its own mailbox, residential sized trash can for weekly pickup, internet and cable hook ups My site also had lots of space and distance from neighbors (not cramped like your typical campground) Allison is outstanding and is clearly committed to improving the campground I would stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a campground in this area!!

lindsay brown

THIS LOCATION IS A HIDDEN GEM!! Allison is the sweetest person you will ever meet just in general She is on top of things My husband and I are new to this whole RV living thing and Allison let us borrow whatever tools we needed to get settled into our new spot

We have plenty of shade, and we are next to the river This place met my expectations and more, it’s so peaceful and quite Everyone is very nice here I have fallen in love with this lifestyle and 80% has to do with this campground

Donna Conrad

Not so happy, i have been there since May of 2021 , helping my daughters growing military family I was advised in Sept/Oct time frame that the cost was going up for 2022 so i asked several times to extend my stay before the increase, this did not happen and now in jan of 2022 they charge me more than i paid for May 21 thru Dec 2020, its for the most part a quiet campground however not worth what they are charging for 2022!

The place is a nice location, the employees are super helpful and very nice Even came by to welcome us at the tent site We stayed by the pond for 2 nights it was very beautiful and the bathrooms are super clean and are individual bathrooms for women

The only down side are the ants which are all over the place but they are just the ones that one the sweets so not to worry they don’t bite and also there is a military base close by which there are Helicopter practices around and also a train passing by around 9:15 However, we had unexpected rain and it was pretty muddy Other than that it’s a good location to stay one or two nights to reach the next destination The pool was dirty I think because of the rain but the rest was good

The only thing that was nice was the park If you have a nice expensive camper or 5th wheel you will enjoy this location We chose to stay for me,my husband’s and son’s birthday and fathers day weekend in a tent site

We made a reservation for 2 only because we were not sure our sons were going to stay or just cook with us Before we could even make it to our site the owner was there questioning how many we had stay (we literally had not even unpacked our truck ) then accused us of having a dog which we did not I explained we had no issues paying for the other 2 guest if they were staying which we did with no problems then our power polewith a light did not work I asked owner to look at it she said she would look at it in a minute Which she did and it didn’t work she found a plug way across site where we could not even reach to our tent I asked to barrow extention cordshe rudelysaid there was awalmart upthe road The next day about hafe way through the day she said we could not use a window unit in our tent I knowmost people don’t but I have health issues and it was a little hotter than I expected so I went and got onewhen I had to go get the extension cord I looked on rules and it never said we could not use one as we saw the rv sites were using them as well After that was told we had to leave with a refund coming towards end of the week cause we used a debit card I did not except that as I needed cash to go to another park for the rest of our birthday weekend we never made a sound and never bothered anyone we just simply were not old enough or had enough money for this park and had to many tattoos We are in our 40s so we are not kids but this was the worst experience I ever had for a vacation As I said only the park was nice won’t be back or recommend if you are in your 40’s We actually went further down the road to another camp site , had 3 others with ac units Was one price for group of 4 wasn’t treated like we didn’t belong so it was actually a blessing

I highly recommend you add MrD’S to your RV experience It is a perfect location if you’re heading north or south

Ozark, AL has a great selection of restaurants to choose from Fort Rucker is close with the wonderful sound of freedom flying overhead The park offers full hook-ups, bathrooms, laundry room, cable, WiFi and pet areas Tina & Mark are the friendliest park managers and the owner, Gayle, is a sweetheart! The grounds are kept up and looks very nice We stayed for two months and enjoyed our stay

Erika Clark

Pet owners beware! The owner lets her pit mix dog roam the park unattended No collar, no leash I was walking my 20 lb terrier, and her dog walked right up to us & snapped at my dog

They instantly broke out in a fight I was screaming for help – there were several other men around, but they couldn’t separate them My dog got loose & ran off, and a man took the owner’s dog back to her residence He told me that the dog has it’s TEETH FILED SO IT CAN’T HURT ANYONE!!! WTH? That’s not okay, and the entire experience was horrifying I thought it would kill my 13 year old dog Look back at the reviews – this has happened before! The owner never apologized, we never saw her Very bad experience

REALLY A 35 STAR RATING THE HOTEL IS CLEAN, HOWEVER THEY DO ALLOW PETS AT THE HOTEL, SO WATCH OUT FOR BOMBS IN THE SITTING AREA BY THE PARKING LOT

ALSO, WATCH OUT FOR DOG HAIR IN THE BATHROOMS IT HAS BEEN CLEAN EVERY TIME WE STAYED, BUT SOMETIMES IT IS EXTREMELY LOUD I STAY HERE AT LEAST 5 DAYS OUT OF THE MONTH BREAKFAST IS DECENT STAFF IS NICE GOOD LOCATION

Alyssa Orr

Warning to potential bookers: I just called to book a room and was quoted 40 dollars over what every third party seller (Expedia, Travelocity etc) is listing a room for When I pointed out this detail, I was told they don’t do third party I followed up by asking “So, if I booked on a third party app I would be turned away?”

I was told I would not be Essentially this hotel is just trying to make more money for the sake of making more money 🚩

Highly recommend! Upon our arrival, Jamie greeted us with a smile and provided his immediate assistance by locating a luggage cart The lobby was clean, and provided complimentary waters Easy access from 231

Rooms are spacious, clean, and updatedI mistakenly chose a room in advance that was not going to accommodate my stay, and Jamie made ever effort to find us an alternate room that far exceeded our expectations We will be back and will continue to refer Ozark location! Thank you

Ken Minschwaner

Never waited this long to check in – took at least 45 minutes to get into room at 10 pm Room had 1/4 roll of toilet paper with no backup Hot breakfast advertised – but no hot breakfast

It’s not the customers fault if the employee checking people in has no idea what they’re doing It’s not the customers fault if the breakfast person no-shows I wouldn’t take the time to leave a negative review – but not one time did any employee say anything No “I’m sorry” Just an overall attitude of “I don’t care” Stay away

DK Zabe

Wasn’t quite sure what to expect from the Hampton Inn’s in southern Alabama This Hampton was a nice surprise Most HAmpton Inn’s are older, but if the lobby is clean and there isn’t a moldy smell, I am very happy! This was clean, quiet and no moldy smell! The beds were comfortable and I felt safe staying here

I would recommend it as a good traveling through stop!

I stayed here almost 3 weeks for a work assignment Housekeeping never cleaned my room which meant no clean sheets or towels, the trash wasn’t removed, the floor was not vacuumed and the room was not restocked with toilet paper I did get them to change the sheets once but I had to ask for it specifically and they were hateful about it

Had to go to desk myself several times to request toilet paper but always had to hunt the desk clerk who was always out back smoking A few times my key would not work and had to go to desk and they were rude about it The clerk was usually an older lady with glasses that was rude They did have a couple of other desk clerks that were polite but I didn’t see them much I had to provide my own trash bags and remove the trash myself Rarely got clean towels so I’m glad I had beach towels I only asked for my room to be cleaned twice so as not to be a bother but as I said the sheets were changed once and that’s all I even left on the weekends and stayed gone all day so they could get in but came back to dirty room everytime The room was nice and the location was good but the big issue was housekeeping If I was going to have to clean it myself they should’ve told me so I could bring supplies and if I wanted to stay in filth I could’ve gotten a much cheaper place They need different people in charge here because these people aren’t taking care of guests The breakfast was ok but the furniture where you were suppose to eat in the lobby had dust an inch deep you could draw in and the public computer had even more dust I’m not a needy person and I never complain but this was ridiculous Im pretty sure the lady over housekeeping has been here a long time and was very hateful the day I stopped at desk to request clean sheets at least but later saw me in public and acted like I was her best friend but nothing changed

The sheets on one of the queen beds were not changed from the previous guests; there was black fuzz all over the bedding The front desk worker gave me more sheets to change the bed myselfThe pool was DISGUSTING

The water was cloudy and there were ants EVERYWHERE You couldn’t even hold on to the handrail to enter the pool because there were ants all over itWe hadn’t planned on showering everyone after swimming because we’re just going to let them swim again later when we hit our destination, but due to the nastiness of the pool we had to There weren’t enough towels for us by the – 3 for 5 people- and the front desk was outNo fruit on the breakfast bar eitherIn summary, if you plan on staying here, be ready to make up your own beds with clean linens, get more towels when you arrive, bring your own fruit, and don’t plan on using the poolWe typically stay at Holiday Inn Express hotels and have a great experience Not sure if this particular one is just short staffed like the rest of America or what, but I really think clean linens and a pest free/non-cloudy pool aren’t too high of expectations to have

Jamie Michelle Higgins

Standard, remodeled hotel Lingering stench of cigarette smoke

Clean sheets and bedding that was invested, were successful choices The shower was a delight, with large sliding, angled door Plenty of towels, toilet paper, kleenexes, and body cleansing products Offered breakfast from 6 to 9 am, first time I’ve seen a pancake machine 😳 Staff was nice and talkative and helpful All areas were clean and sanitized, thankfully Especially with guests both children and adults whom were not wearing foot wear in the eating areasHoly grounds 😇😁
