Beautiful location and scenery Just a short distance to the town of Florence Each cabin with it’s own deck and view of the lake

Cabins are clean and efficient A little kitchenette, table & chairs, sitting area, full bath and bed Natalie, the manager/owner (I think) was awesome She was spot on with whatever you needed Highly recommend!

My absolute favorite “home away from home” I camped here many times and when the campsite was full, enjoyed the “day use” capabilities for only $5 The park is clean and safe, always a happy environment

Sometimes they have live music at night with fires lit in the field next to the swings and bathrooms It overlooks the beach and the grounds are well taken care of The shower access was so welcome after a long day outside! The staff are always nearby and easy to approach and they do such a wonderful job at keeping everything in order The prices are more than reasonable and I never felt unwelcome in my stays I really liked the fact that it is a no smoking area and just how family-oriented it is There is a designated “quiet time” so even if you’re sleeping in a tent, you will not be disturbed at night I found it on my first time through Florence and never chose another campsite after Highly recommended in every single way!

This place was amazing and beautiful, the pads for the RVs were nice and level which made setting up super fast, the serene setting and the chairs set out that overlook the ocean to watch the sun set or rise made this place unique I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for an amazing getaway! this is my favorite place so far Also the casino right around the corner made for an entertaining night

Stepfanie Hawkins

This campground is beautiful with sites enclosed by foliage, very private and cozy Sites come with picnic table and a firepit with a small grillCamp staff if so helpful

We bought firewood and staff delivered it to our site, as we were actually on our way to a restaurant when we purchased the woodWe also had a medical emergency (food poisoning from a local restaurant) and needed to stay an extra day at the last minute No problem with the last minute change of plansIf we ever make it back to this part of the coast this will be my go to campground For 30$ a night you’d be hard pressed to find a better place

Great RV facility! We’ve tried a few RV facilities down this way and we like this one It appears all of the inner sites are pull through, and surfaced with well compacted crushed rock Even though it is right off the 101, the sites further west were progressively quieter

There are nice vegetation buffers between each site, which provide a little privacy The bathroom/showers were clean and well kept We did not use the laundry facility or game room, but passing by they appeared clean Very friendly staff when making reservation and upon arrival Hope to stay here the next trip down this way

Steven Page

We came to the Oregon coast to find some cooler weather than at home in August This definately hit the spit as the daytime highs were 70 and the nights were in the fiftiesThis is a nice quiet little park with a lot of privacy as they have hedges between the sites The sites are nicely sized and our 38 foot motorhome and jeep fit easily with room to spare

Not a lot of amenities but they do have showers, laundry, and a small dog run Staff are very freindly and helpfulThis is the place to come if you have an ATV as you are right next to the Oregon dunes The park has a road that runs directly into the dunes for easy access You are very close to the ocean and not far from the town of Florence which has more than a few sites to seeWill come here again

Veruca Sweet

While it is quiet, especially during the week, I don’t know that solo women, LGBTQ+, or people of color would feel welcome here The resort caters to RVer’s and the sites are clean and progressively private the farther from the main entrance Direct dunes access via a paved road at the far end of the property, but lake access is across the highway

Terrible WiFi The conservative vibe is obliquely underscored with rules like no tent camping or bicycles, and overtly on display with prominently flying Trump and “thin blue line” flags I wore a mask in the office and the owner wouldn’t acknowledge me In short, your enjoyment will be determined by how comfortable you are around Tucker Carlson’s people

We loved it! This place is magical Our cabin was INCREDIBLY clean, nicely stocked, comfortable and a good value Perfect views, helpful owner/ staff

We will be back asap We stayed in the 1 bedroom cabin #5 It would be perfect for a couple or family of 3 Can work for up to 4 if a couple of those people are very small children We will check out of of the larger cabins next time Bring slippers, the cabins are old and the floors are cold We had plenty of privacy and never heard our neighbors

Rustic but modern lakefront cabins in a quiet, peaceful setting! RV spots, hot tub and fishing Boat, jet ski, and kayak rentals Very family friendly, with weekend activities such as BBQ’s, movie nights, etc

Large dock for mooring your boat and fishing, safe/ enclosed swimming area with water trampolines Fish cleaning station, showers, coin-op laundryI could go on and on! Don’t miss this hidden gem!

Dj T-Rob (DJ T-Rob)

Stayed here for about four days a few weeks ago had a great time Good fishing from the dock was able to catch a few trout and catfish They had a really nice clean fish cleaning station

We stayed in a cabin it was well stocked with the basics, fairly clean and comfortable even had Wi-Fi and a nice Traeger grill on the deck Staff was very friendly and helpful but we didn’t find somebody on site that was always available but it was OK Was very quiet at night had a nice fire pits Decent amount of privacy and parking, Appliances in the cabin weren’t the greatest but they worked and we’re better than camping Had a good furnace heater too Fairly comfortable beds nice TVs We were a little worried about the detached cabin shower but it was actually really clean and the water pressure and temperature was ok There’s also a nice hot tub by the lake that we were able to check out Wasn’t able to rent out any of the water sports equipment but maybe next time Good location to a lot of other things to do and shopping If you’re in the area rent ATVs go to the Sea lion caves and check out the beaches Florence is a great place to hang out We’ll be back

Oh my gosh, this place is ADORABLE Definitely worth checking into if you need an affordable place to lay your head for a night or twoWe stayed in a non-renovated unit & it was still great

The bathroom is a bit small, but the heaters work well and the bed is very comfortable The pillows are newer and very fluffy The walls are a bit thin, but the neighbors were respectful and the front office lets you know that they are more than willing to tell anyone to quiet down if need be

Honey Margaret

Ambience and cleanliness was top notchDid over night stay after a long drive but the experience will never be forgotten as the room, bedding and bathroom were all super clean, well maintained and also loved how environment friendly they are!!Place was easy to findTotal location is really beautiful and it does give living in the woods experience

We enjoyed our stay at Park Motel When we first arrived the room deodorizer was so strong that my wife sneezed nonstop for the first 10 minutes We opened the windows and front door to clear the room and it got better

The sink in the bathroom is quite small Otherwise the room was great It was quiet, clean, and met our needs for a good night’s sleep The bed was comfortable and the location was easy to find

Overall, this place was really, really good The room was exceedingly clean, everything is freshly painted and in good repair The staff were all very helpful; we received excellent customer service

The hotel is within walking distance of the old town portion of Florence I read quite a few reviews about this place before I booked, and the only negative comment I agreed with is that the rooms get warm Not unbearably warm, and I do run a little warm, so that doesn’t help, but it was a little stuffy in there all the same But to be fair, I’ve never stayed in a hotel without air conditioning that DIDN’T get warm The rooms come with a fan My suggestion is: keep the window open and use the fan, and you’ll be fine I highly recommend this place

mzee75

This stay was a mixed bag The location is fantastic, within walking distance to dozens of shops and restaurantsThe building is obviously very old and a little quirky

It’s also obvious there have been efforts at upkeep, but certain parts really show its age (chipped paint, etc) Our upper level hallway, which used to be open to the parking lot, was enclosed with glass, making it feel like a really long three season porch Not a problem, except that sound echoed and resonated down the hall You could pretty much hear anyone and everyone opening and closing their doorsThe staff was courteous The room was clean and average motel size The TV is surprisingly small (less than 30”) which gives the room a feeling of cheapness Our room was uncomfortably hot in spite of us turning the thermostat completely off Even an open window on a 58-degree day (which invited in lots of noise) and a fan running could not keep it cool I did let the staff know about the temperature in the morning at checkout (possible faulty thermostat?), and they seemed disinterested There is no air-conditioningSince you have to have your window open in order to not suffocate, the rooms are not quiet Mercifully our fellow guests were not noisy The beds were very squeaky and not terribly comfortable We had honest concerns that every time we turned over we would be bothering the people below usWe forgot a couple of phone chargers in our room The staff was kind enough to call us, but we had already driven almost an hour away I asked if they would be willing to ship them to our address on file, and they said no But they would give it to a shipping company who would contact us in the next several days with pricing and options This was initially disappointing, the shipping company contacted us the next day and their rates were very reasonableOverall, for the facilities and amenities, it feels overpriced by at least $50 a night Their promotional photographer must be some sort of wizard because our room barely resembled what you see online It’s NOT bright, airy, or spacious and we certainly didn’t have pretty accent pillows I would have liked to have seen some comparably priced rooms in town to see how they compare Maybe it’s just supply and demand for the area, but we’ve stayed in much nicer places for much less

What a magical place to stay at! The 7 course breakfast was delicious and different every morning The staff were friendly and accommodating The house is gorgeous with so much history in a prime location

During my stay, I enjoyed waking up and hiking to the lighthouse to watch sea lions hunting right off the cliff every morning The lighthouse at night is to die for, especially on a clear night with all the stars I was so happy with my stay, I am planning a friends getaway here I highly recommend Heceta Lighthouse for anyone during their travels

Adam Knoedler

Excellent place I came here for the ghost stories and the spirits of this place did not disappoint That, along with the other complimentary stuff of the Bed and Breakfast were fantastic

Cheese, crackers and your choice of Beer or Wine upon arrival, the scenery around the B & B, the walk to the Lighthouse (Day or Night), the seven course brunch in the morning and last but certainly not least, the ghosts of Heceta Would love to come back and would highly recommend

Paula Walker

Beautiful, the bed and breakfast was very nice Room was nice but small and bathroom across the hall, nice size bathroom and very pretty The Victoria room probably would have been my first pic if I knew the difference between the lightkeepers room and that one

If I stayed again it would be that room instead Had a wonderful time and the views are breath taking Wonderful staff and took very good care of us

We were really looking forward to our campout here We booked several months ago and our trip was scheduled a month out from today I had to cancel due to mechanical issues and lack of parts today

So what really makes me upset is that they refuse to refund any of my $135 I can understand a service fee, which is $10, but to keep my $125 is ridiculous They said I have a credit that I can use in the next year I don’t live in Oregon so this maybe difficult to do I didn’t want a “rain check”! Buyer/Campers beware! Read the fine print

Almost gave it 5 stars, but the price at $28600 per night was a little steep Other than that, we were happy with our stay here

I recommend requesting a room on the ground level It was very nice being able to walk out the sliding door to the beach An added bonus that the rooms have a full kitchen The indoor pool/spa was very nice and clean as well We ate at the market restaurant next door for lunch one day and we were pleasantly surprised with the yummy pretzel buns with the cheeseburgers We would definitely stay here again

Wendell Goff

Not some fancy hotel but the room is clean, the staff is plenty courteous, and the jacuzzi/indoor pool was nice (has a water play area for small kids) and the beach view was great For $214 per night, we got two queen beds and a fully functional kitchen with a fridge, oven, dishwasher, pots, and utensils There wasn’t anything to complain about and it met expectations

Cynthia Ramsey

The Driftwood is older The location is great, the staff is really nice, and the rooms are set up so you can cook and have pets All of that is why I give it 5 stars

To add to that, we all know that five stars can be quite different but I think it has to be relevant to the location, the age of the place, the care that the staff take and who it caters to There are five star hotels all over the world that means something quite different to the five stars here But if you want a few days away from the hot weather and want to take your pet and have a gorgeous Beach with people who care and don’t overcharge, I’d say there’s value thereAnd after all that I forgot my bathing suit!

My family and I only stayed here for one night Here’s our thoughts:A) We thought we could get a river view but we didn’tB) The room was quite small, especially the walking space

And especially for 4 people walking around trying to get to different sides of the roomC) It was raining when we were there and so, walking down the stairs and going under dripping wooden roofs to our room all the time was quite inconvenientD) The front desk person was nice! The staff making the eggs were giving off different vibes though Maybe it’s because it’s the morning, who knows But what’s confusing is that they’re cooking eggs and serving them to people who requested it In the other hotels I’ve been too, eggs are served on your own I didn’t get any eggs because it’ll take a long time for it to be served, as I’m rushing to finish breakfast that morningBut in summary, it’s a nice and clean hotel, especially in the middle of nowhere in Oregon If I were to come back to Florence though, I would try out another hotel first before thinking to come back here

Dezerae Johannes

Called a couple weeks in advance to make reservation, was told it would be a balcony room then When I got here he said no, not available Room was down in what felt like a dungeon with a window that at least opened

Very small room, only one desk chair, No elevators at this place, had to go down and up tons of stairs! Going to the pool was very inconvenient from Where we were! Down 4 flights of stairs again! Had to go outside and through lobby too Had to ask for pool towels from front desk and they were so thin and small Pool area had great view and 2 hot tubs Beds were “queen” but small! And really broke down, too soft Overall not worth the money and we won’t be back because of our unimpressed and uncomfortable stay

Larry Clutter

Hotel lobby is really nice and parking is plentiful But like most hotels, the rooms are what need the attention and not the lobby Who cares about the lobby unless you plan to sleep there? The rooms are very small, well worn and not in great shape

All the rooms seem to have a balcony with a view, but some would have less of a view than others No air conditioner but you DO NOT need one as the temperature gets really cool in the summer and at night you run the heater Breakfast was ok but not great Typical free breakfast, but not really free since the room was $250 for the night Best place to stay in Florence Oregon, but there are plenty of other options along the way that are nicer

Truly a wonderful place to stay! The service went above and beyond accommodating my food limitations The stay was quiet and relaxing The room was excellent, honestly the only complaint I had was some rooms only have a shower (which was great btw!) but I was looking forward to soaking in a tub after a long road-trip

Truly a spectacular stay, if I’m ever back in town this is my new go-to spot!

SteveandSallyJo Wickham

Wow! This is definitely the best place to stay in Florence The room we stayed in was the Northwest Balcony room which was just beautifully decorated and taken care of The balcony overlooks the water feature off the patio downstairs and is so nice to sit and listen to the waterfall

The treats in the room were so yummy and the beverage of our choice was there waiting for us The bed was very comfortable and we slept great Breakfast was excellent and very delicious The B&B is right across from the river and the dunes It is just a short walk down to Old Town where many shops and restaurants are available We walked down to the docks and watched the action out on the river We cannot say enough about our host John & Sarah and their beautiful home that they shared with us Cannot wait to go again We Highly Recommend you give yourself a treat and stay here soon
