The rooms seem pretty nice and the staff have been friendly The pool was unfortunately closed for maintenance, but I don’t fault the hotel for that My biggest issue is a flaw in the design of the room we stayed in: the door to the bathroom is a sliding door that can instead cover the closet, and it does not have a latch to close it

When the door closes the bathroom, it creeps back along the track enough to open a small gap in the doorway It also cannot be locked In a room with one bed, it would be a little less weird, but our room has TWO If the people occupying the room aren’t sleeping in the same bed, they probably aren’t comfortable using the bathroom without a doorOur room had a mini fridge, a large TV, a desk and chair, and a coffee markerEdit: the WiFi isn’t working, the trash cans are too small to be useful, and the air conditioner is very loud I won’t be staying here again if I can help it

We had to book a one night stay here because our usual hotel was not available Considering that this is one of the more expensive hotels in the area, it was disappointing It is newer than some of the other hotels on the frontage road, but for more than double the price, it is underwhelming

We never did get Wi-Fi working properly, and the hotel charges a daily fee for “premium wi-fi” The pool was closed for repairs The tub was not clean when we arrived, and had hair in it It was quite obvious, so that calls into question what other cleaning might have been skipped The room had a “space efficient” floor plan similar to recent “budget chain” hotel designs, including a sliding door that covers either the bathroom *or* the closet, by sliding between the two While a clever use of space, ours would not stay in position, and kept sliding open when the bathroom was in use We had to jam it in place with a washcloth There’s also no privacy latch on the door, something my teen daughter found to be appalling If you have a choice, stay at one of the two Radisson properties instead This one isn’t worth “Hilton pricing” I only give it two stars because it is overall a newer and cleaner property than some others I have stayed at in the vicinity on other visits

Traveling through and needed a room for the night This stay restored my faith in Days Inn The room was large, clean, looked updated and comfortable

Bed was nice TV worked easily with cable channels, refrigerator cold and microwave clean both odor free They had a pool and hot tub that looked clean and inviting but I didn’t have time to use it Simple breakfast- biscuits n gravy, waffles, yogurt, cereal, bread/bagels, bananas, drinks Enough to get us up and going for the day I would stay here again if in town

My mom and I stayed here this past weekend I loved the room we were given My mom visits frequently, and I sincerely hope that when we return that we can be placed in the same room because that truly made our stay a great one

It was roomy, had a GREAT sized TV, and a larger mini-fridge than what I expected We spent a good portion of our time in the room, so these were really important factors to our stay (Especially since we were there 3 nights) Thank you for the wonderful room, it was exactly what we needed We hope to enjoy more weekends there

The front desk clerk was so rude to my sons & I, it ruined our night He was sweeping under my feet & pushed the chair into my leg while I was drinking my continental breakfast, then completely kicked is out of the room so he could mop before 9 am Accused us of punching the crumbling stained lamp shade to have an excuse to squeeze another $35 out of us of the security deposit

I can’t believe how bad our stay was BEWARE!!

Rented the pool area for a birthday party The pool was big and really nice, there’s also a hot tub (we didn’t use) There is a fairly large seating area for reunions, birthday parties, weddings, etc

Included was also use of the arcade room upstairs Everyone had a blast and the included meal was quite tasty Rachel (the event specialist) was absolutely amazing and quickly remedied any minor issues that arose The other staff there were also very friendly and efficient Was fantastic to be able to host a birthday party there And cost friendly as well

Brian

Large hotel with a nice open atrium area, pool & hot tub (open til 11), game room, arcade, outdoor and indoor gazebo, free breakfast, 1 free drink each day plus free happy hour Sunday through Thursday Room cleaning could be a bit better: my fridge had mold spots and the shower drain had a clump of hair that is not mine Rooms have fridges (no freezers though) and microwaves

Hannah Rafferty

The room was a bit old in places but very clean! The beds were not very comfortable but the sheets were great! The staff was very kind and helpful, and even though we didn’t have housekeeping – they were prompt with delivering new towels Bella was incredibly kind and helpful with packages and shippingThe location was easy to get to and great for going back and forth to EAA

Beautiful, spacious room with a wonderful jacuzzi tub The daily breakfast buffet was great The female employee I met that took care of the buffet was very friendly and nice

We had a nice chat The valentines day decorations was a nice touch in the dining room The lady that took care of the breakfast decorated that area out of her pocket!!! She should get reimbursed for that! What a great employee she is for caring to decorate her place of employment to make the customers feel joyful to see them

Mrs James

Very pleasant place to stay The staff are amazing, the rooms are spacious and clean The pool and hot tub are relaxing

The breakfast is wonderful, you can grab whatever you would like and actually sit to eat The staff will grab you things you need like towels, spoons/forks and just just helpful in general There’s even a QR code in the rooms you can scan if you want to see a list of local restaurants, the TV guide and a couple other little things! It’s just amazing here! 10/10 would definitely stay again!

Minnesota Vance

Because of staffing shortages there weren’t enough staff to do house keeping The front desk was polite and nice Our room was clean but the tub and sink drained very slowly

So slowly that after taking a shower the tub was calf deep full of water and when we came back to our room at the end of the day it was still draining Breakfasts were of good quality and variety and the kitchen staff were very nice I would stay here again

Where do I start?!? The Kalbus Campground was absolutely incredible My friend and I booked plans last minute on a “first” (renting an RV and camping together) and our expectations were blown out of the water The site was spacious, clean, scenic (right on the water), and the facilities and services were top notch

John, the site manager, was wonderful: responsive, informative, helpful, and kind The location was also wonderful – sandwiched between Oshkosh and Fond du Lac, but secluded enough to feel “off the grid”, and surrounded by bikeable side streets and roads We will definitely be back as Kalbus made for an incredibly memorable experience

This ill maintained campground is accompanied by a staff that is centrally focused on one thing Profit This organization has every intent to nickel and dime you for everything, from pet fees to guests, to extremely expensive dump services and to the rates as well being completely out of line with the local area

The owners claim to have “high standards” for entry into their park that are really just a way of them reserving their sites for the most judgmental and bitterly reclusive guests they can They aren’t interested in developing a community of inclusiveness and fun, they simply want your money Want to take a day out on Winnebago? Prepare to pay fees EVERY time you drop in This campground will turn you away unless you are in a STOCK CLASS A Motorhome NO UNIQUE RIGS ALLOWED You are expected to blend in, shut up, and open up your checkbook When businesses are run on models that are centered around vanity, exclusiveness, and exorbitant price gouging don’t be surprised when people start realizing it We hope this review will give you the heads up you need to AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS

Karen Staege

Love the camp ground itself, but rigid new regulations were onerous The camp ground has a new owner is changing things which make it less accessible for family camping The on- ground manager tried his best to be amenable to our needs, so we don’t fault him, but they changed the rules after we made our reservations and paid over half our fees as a down payment

They knew we had a tent and a pop-up camper along with a screen tent when we registered in March 2021 and then told us we couldn’t have a the tents due to new rules He relented when we complained politely but made us set everything up on one of the two sites we had paid for which made no sense at all but we did it and put our campfire and a car in the other one Then he said his boss had driven through on Friday night and wasn’t happy with the tents and our set up and would be stopping by to “talk” to us on Saturday It seemed like harassment to us although that never happened after we tried our best to satisfy the instructions These sites we like and have camped on before week be made into “premier sites” and unavailable to normal family camping in the future We will not return our recommend this place in the future We are sad about these circumstances

Sure wish they’d reinvest in the place I suppose it’s a good thing that they’re still around after covid but check it out and know what you’re getting before you go there Your experience may be ok but there were problems with the electrical power during the 2021 AirVenture week

Their “grid” seemed unable to support the load from the number of campers and RVs hooked up to it Amps kept falling off Sometimes we could get one AC unit to work for a while then it would quit Not great when the week starts out hot & humid and you’re expecting to get the electricity you’re paying for Can’t say for sure but our other AC unit seemed to work fine before we stayed there but wouldn’t even start up when we tried it alone while we were there Did the voltage and amp fluctuation fry it? Don’t know but I do know we’ve got a repair bill on the horizonProbably wouldn’t have even written this review if they would have just apologized or offered a partial refund or even offered to move usWe expect to be back to AirVenture but we’ve been to Circle R for the last time Hopefully the owners take these comments in the spirit with which they’re offered so they can make a few important improvements for the future If they do it’ll likely pay off for them

Carolyn Bessler

Basic campground Clean, very nice hosts We were only there for a night and it was just 2 adults, so fine for us

We we’re lucky as the big Air Show was getting ready to start, but she did find us a spot Looked like they had a shuttle for Oshgosh Air Show, so that is something to keep in mind if you are interested Need to make your reservation WAY ahead!!

Has wifi, 17mbps down, 007mbs up

useless This was typical, not a flukeGot upgraded to a 30 amp slot, only to find it completely useless as it often was <100 volts Good way to burn up an ac compressor Again not a fluke, everyone I talked to had the same problemCampground was ~half full, during the EAA showfor a reasonLast bus from the show was 9pm, even though the lady at checkin said they would be running later 9 other people were stuck there with us They had major events going until 10Went to dump the tanks on the way outthe dump was full to the top Even the fresh water hose leakedI wouldn't go into the bathroom if my life depended on itGreat location Maybe someone that cares will buy it someday, and I'll try it again Until thenI'll stay anywhere else, no matter how far away

This hotel is excellent It’s nice and quiet, not loud at all The bed was extremely comfortable, and the breakfast was good

The girl that was working was doing a great job tending to the front desk while also doing housekeeping throughout the hotel It does say that there’s a pool and hot tub, but just a heads up, that was a different hotel with different ownership so there isn’t one But I would stay here again because of the location, it’s easy on easy off of highway 41, and there’s a gas station right there and it’s only a few minutes from downtown

Google says you can rent a room at 18 for American inn, 20 years old and they left my friend to fend for themselves on the streets because they don’t rent until 21 after they had nowhere else to go, anything can happen nowadays, should they have called ahead? Probably but Whoever was at the front desk must not have kids or be able to put themselves in their shoes I’ve been at hotels where they let us stay the night since we were not from the area and they didn’t want to leave us stranded Horrible hospitality in my opinion

Melissa Wong

I was an overnight guest due to a business trip Check-in was prompt and the staff were helpful and friendly Upon arrival my room was ready, clean, and the perfect temperature

I didn’t use the pool but the area looked nice Amenities were fine, the room was quiet and overall my stay was pleasant Complimentary breakfast was delicious the next morning and check out was a breeze
