I really liked this hotel It is right off of I64 making it easy if you are there to see Frankfort, or want to tour the distilleries The rooms are large which I like, and it is nice having a sofa to relax on after a long day of driving

Breakfast makes for a great start to any day, and they really make breakfast simple & easy There is plenty of space outside to walk your dog if you have one, and they also have some nice outside sitting areas to relax which is a bonus I think this is going to be my go-to in Frankfort

We came for the Mother’s Day brunch and were the last seating time We were also the last table to get to the Buffet Several of the foods were gone and the ones that were there were crackers and cheese and fruit also salad

I was disappointed for 2800 a plate and we assumed there would be more breakfast items such as biscuits and gravy They did have bacon and it was cooked very well The wait staff was friendly and kept our drinks full We may try again when its not so busy for a holiday We did not stay in a room The Inn is very lovely

Woodford Inn was the perfect place to stay! We were welcomed at the door upon arrival, check in was efficient, and the hosts were friendly We continued to be delighted by the menu choices, wine list, and delicious entrees! Our room was exceptionally clean and the tempra -pedic mattress & pillows ensured a restful night of sleep This is a place we would recommend to our friends and family as they travel through the area

Thank you to Laura and Richard for taking great pride in your service, hospitality, and property 💕🎉

Location, location, location If you’re looking for a place to stay in an excellent location, this is one of them But I believe an excellent location can lead a business into laziness and complacency

This is the feeling I got from Capital PlazaFirst, I want to say that the employees at Capital Plaza were wonderful people I place none of the responsibility of my “just okay” experience on them as individuals The overall experience, however, was disappointing We blocked off a set of rooms for our wedding down the road at Buffalo Trace Distillery We had coordinated with Ashley, the event organizer, to have gift bags handed out to guests as they checked in We sent those several weeks in advance from our home in Dover, DE A few guests had arrived before us and did not receive their bags When we asked Ashley about it, we found that the gift bags were still in the package we’d sent, tucked away in a back room With a shrug and a smile, Ashley handed them to us to give to the front desk for disseminationWhen we arrived, we wanted to include an itinerary in the gift bags; my wife drafted them up and emailed them to Ashley who had agreed to print them out, as we couldn’t access the computer in the business center As documents tend to do, the formatting shifted when Ashley opened them, but rather than catch this and correct it, or bring it to our attention, she printed them as they were and we had to improviseOn the final day of our stay, one of my wife’s worst nightmares was realized when she got stuck in an elevator Now, things like this happen, and it’s hard to fault people for unexpected mechanical issues What I took issue with was the utter lack of urgency from the maintenance department The situation was addressed with minimal effort and shoulder shrugs When I addressed this with the front desk, the response was “I’m sorry that happened, but” According to the clerk, a contractor had come in to work on a different elevator without notifying the hotel, and for whatever reason they had shut down the elevator that my wife had been in somewhere between the third and fourth floor When a maintenance guy joined the conversation, he blamed “the computers” and “bugs” and what-not There had been no indicators that any of the elevators would be worked on that day and ultimately, a strap of caution tape was haphazardly taped across the elevator on the first floorWhen we checked out later that morning, another desk clerk asked how our stay was and I pointed out my disappointment with the lack of urgency during the situation She was much more sympathetic, but I didn’t get the sense that any further action would be takenThe Capital Plaza is a short walk to downtown Frankfort and a short drive to the Buffalo Trace Distillery and many other excellent restaurants It’s a gorgeous area, and I can’t help but wonder if the hotel’s location has led to a culture of complacency People are going to stay there Hell, I recommend that you do stay there–as long as you’re just passing through and want a short and safe walk to the bars and breweries in beautiful and historic downtown, Frankfort; however, I would not recommend Capital Plaza if you’re looking to host a local event

Our room was dingy and outdated The best part about it was the shower head even though the bathtub drained very slowly The bed was not comfortable and the pillows were cheap and flimsy

There were stains on the carpet and the ceiling had spots flaking off After our first night I got some extra towels and wash rags (all were thin and could be used as 100 grit sandpaper) and coffee for our room and found out the next morning a huge wad of hair was inside one of the bath towelsgross! The breakfast they cooked was nasty, so we just ate oatmeal, muffins, and bagels The cream cheese tasted old and spoiled No fresh fruit was available both mornings we were there The staff, including front desk people were at least friendly For as much as they charge per night, we expected a nice room, good warm breakfast, and hairless soft towels Needless to say, we will not be returning to Capital Plaza Hotel

Akash ShAh

It’s been a week and it’s good This place is relatively close to local restaurants and bars and the beds are nice Pillows are surprisingly good

Free breakfast is included and it’s enough for breakfastThe bar and built in restaurant has been closed since covid so don’t expect to drink here

Holiday Inn has become my favorite hotel in the last few years, and this one is an example of why Super friendly staff, extremely clean and well kept, rooms are well appointed and comfortable, and the breakfast was fantastic The biscuits and gravy were just like grandma’s and were a perfect start to the day

Should I find myself in Versailles again, I’ll surely be patronizing this establishment again

I love Glenda and Herb at Rabbit Creek Bed & Breakfast I stay at Rabbit Creek about five weeks per year while I’m in Lexington for the Keeneland Thoroughbred Auction I’m on the auction staff there

I’ve been coming back to Rabbit Creek for about nine years nowHerb and Glenda are wonderful hosts Lovely spacious home (10,000 sq ft) beautiful grounds and all the amenities to make my time away from home feel like home Their breakfasts are wonderful and our visits and conversations are memorable I introduce myself to the other guests as “the third son”Rabbit Creek will always be my go-to place to rest, relax and enjoy my time in the Versailles/ Lexington areaIt’s the perfect place to stay if you’re in the area for the Bourbon Trail as well

Lauren Coleman

My family and I had truly a wonderful experience here Herb made sure we were comfortable from beginning to end The home and surrounding grounds are just lovely, a treat for the eyes and the soul

Quiet, comfortable, and inviting, the home itself is hand built, and well loved, and you can feel the love when you’re there We feel like we really made a friend in Herb, and Glenda was just great in taking our booking, and keeping in contact with us the day we checked in She even went as far as calling us to see how far out we were, because she had an errand to run, and was going to schedule the errand around our arrival time, so she wouldn’t miss us The next time we visit Kentucky, there is no question where we will be staying Truly good, deep, and meaningful conversations with Herb every morning helped to start what would be stressful days, with good fellowship, and hearty companionship So much so, that on our last day, we missed him at breakfast, and we felt the loss of our morning talks I highly suggest that if you are in the area, and need a place to stay, please give Herb and Glenda a call

Patrick Gill

It was like being part of the family The rooms were nice – clean and spacious- but if that is all you are after you can stay in a hotel One of the benefits of a B&B is the people (okay, the breakfast as well – which in itself was quite nice), but the best part by far was Glenda and Herb – I’ve never had such nice hosts – it was like being welcomed by your grand-parents (not your parents, because they would make you do chores)

Quiet evenings sitting in the living room with them and their actual family was a highlight of our visit, surpassed only by Herb taking us next door to watch the foals come out to pasture – a trip to Kentucky would not be complete without horses They are centrally located to several Bourbon Distilleries as well, and we used them as our base of operations for trips all over Kentucky They are out in the country so don’t expect to walk down to the pub for a pint – but being in the country is the experienceI definitely recommend them and will be back if we get a chance

This was our first trip to Frankfort and we’re definitely going back Brad and Bri were wonderful hosts – it was like staying with friends! The house is beautiful and comfortable, with a library if you want to relax somewhere other than your guest room, as well as a second floor balcony and a first floor patio As they’ve just purchased the Inn, they are working hard to make changes so it’s even nicer, and we look forward to seeing it, and them, again

Breakfast was delicious, and we highly recommend staying here!

Christina G

Rose and Gary are phenomenal! We are so very saddened that they will be retiring and moving to the East Coast However, we understand wanting to be near your children and grandchildren The new owners have some exciting plans for the bed and breakfast

I am not sure how it will be without Rose’s cooking, the banter with Rose and Gary and the wonderful welcome we feel each time we visit They will be greatly missed! But we hope the new owners take the Meeting House to a great levelAlso if you are into haunted places This was a very active location for me on numerous occasions! Even had a hand print of a little kid show up on the mattress right in front of me

Sue Kozel

I do not recommend staying here Owners changed The house is a mess with boxes everywhere

Dust Looks like a bomb hit the porch I was supposed to used the library to write Now it is a storage unit crowded with soon to be discarded stuff This owner has no respect for guests making us pay the same rates for this I came back after 7 hours of research followed by dinner tonight, and no new towels and bed not fixed Called the owner who said people like to be left alone I go to B&Bs because you get special treatment My room has not been dusted I booked this place because the old owners organized a historic house experience My room is full of strange cartoon art about Guiness beer, 4 bizarre posters/paintings Look, I enjoy Guinness, but I feel like I should be an alcoholic with this “art” I can’t shut the room window’s indoor shutters at night because of the air conditioner unit and latches are missing Air blows it open On 67 degrees and can’t keep up with outdoor heat Bed and Breakfasts usually provide access to beverages all day long and have afternoon refreshments available, like the old owners did Not here We can’t even get cold water in the kitchen Hey, I have a “beautiful” black comforter with a grey skirt on my bed Horrible The front door is missing a lock or something else so there is a large circular hole in the door Guess where the extra toilet paper is? Behind the bathroom indoor shutters and can be seen from outside neighbors must enjoy that when they look upstairs Had to ask for white sleeping pillows No common sense Feel like I am in an 80’s frat houseThe owner can cook breakfast but doesn’t seem to have his heart in the running of this place Sad, because the before pictures of my room lured me to book The good news is I am close to the Kentucky Historical Society Leaving Sunday, and do not recommend making reservations at the Meeting House Inn, Frankfort, KY

Everything was pretty good my only complaint was the bed was not as soft as I like The people working there were very friendly and I’m happy I stayed there I am normally a Marriott person because the beds are comfortable but they just don’t care about us anymore and boy was I glad that I changed

I felt like the Hampton Inn was glad I was there even though I hadn’t stayed at a Hilton property in years Definitely going to use them again

Georgia Barnes

Arriving early afternoon 6/30 after traveling 500+ miles we were welcomed by a friendly staff (sincerely) Jennifer finishing her day and Stephanie starting her shift I cannot tell you how drawn I was to the peace that Jennifer carried which gave her a beauty that isn’t achieved by makeup or wardrobe I cannot thank Hilton enough for such a short peaceful stay

As we have traveled 14k+ miles we stayed at less desirable places to save a few bucks It was not restful, we were very cautious as we moved about in our room; touching little as possible due to the conditions of the room The staff appearances were questionable Never again will we make such an decision We may have saved ourselves a few dollars but cost us a restless nightThis Hilton is very clean, staff very professional yet sincerely friendly We will definitely come back when we are in the area Thank you Hilton! God blessG Barnes~

The Murder Mystery Dinner was an incredible experience! Our event was held inside as opposed to on the rooftop due to the hot weather, which was perfectly fine by me The room in which the event took place was finely decorated and well set up with 8 round tables and a bar in the corner First course of appetizers was brought out promptly at 7 and the other courses were perfectly delivered throughout the rest of the evening by the attentive and professional waitstaff

The food was outstanding, at times unique, and filling I would visit again to just try the restaurant As far as the theatrical part, I was blown away by the incredible acting of all those involved The actors were sure to put on a show and fully embodied their characters, it was most entertaining Overall, an absolute enjoyable experience- perfect for a date night, a night out solo, or with a group of friends!

Thank you for such a nice stay! Everyone was extremely friendly and check in was easy! Our room was great and enjoyed the sound machine for sleeping at night Love the personalization with a special card when we arrived and fresh flowers For dinner, we went to their restaurant, Castle Farm, and we started off with the ravioli and asparagus salad which were both great! Our entrees (braised short rib & black and blue strip) were delicious and cooked perfectly

We also had breakfast before we left the next morning, which was tasty and piping hotJordan made our visit extra special and was a great bartender with delicious cocktails!

Ryan Wellman

I booked the Grand King Deluxe for my wife’s special birthday and every element of our stay was exquisite The room was immaculate, it had everything we needed (thank you for the white-noise machine – not that we needed it; I just can’t sleep without it), the bed was comfortable, the staff was accommodating, etc and the next morning my wife and her friend’s enjoyed a wonderful brunch

I’m told all the plates were cleaned and all reports were very positive Thank you for a wonderful experience!

If we could select 15 that would be more appropriate As mentioned in other reviews, the pictures do not reflect the current state of the BNB and the location is in the middle of a neighborhood

The rooms need some TLC and a deep cleaning The air return vents were covered in dust, items needed touched with paint, several safety hazards were noticed in our second room and the main house was cluttered The house is very eclectic The air conditioner was faulty at best with our room temperature hovering around 78 degrees until the early morning hours If you like to sleep with a lot of light, the room was great, but we like a dark room and had to rig up ways to cover the light coming in from the porthole style window and the glass doorBreakfast was good and the coffee featured several options for creamers That was great! There is an on-site dog that was beautiful and sweet but not trained Dog nose at table height right by our bowls and “dancing” with owner frequently through the course of our breakfast which created an uncomfortable environment The experience was definitely unique and one that we will laugh about for years to come, but we will not be returning

Steve Thomas

The entire experience was beyond enjoyable for me and my wife on our anniversary Pam (the owner/ operator) was so sweet and she set the tone for the experience The room was delightful/ just what we needed to unwind

My wife especially enjoyed the jacuzzi tub Breakfast in the dining ‘car’ was an absolute delight We will definitely do this again Maybe next time we will experience a different themed room (we stayed in the London Room this time) Best anniversary ever!

Jamie Gloor

Good location near several horse farms, great breakfast, not too busy (we just recently stayed there), and a friendly inn-keeper (Pam)But, we were charged nearly $100 more for our 2 rooms than we were quoted on the phone (not incl tax)–and I followed up twice about this overcharge without response–and there was not enough hot water for my mom OR my dad to bathe

It was nice, but several things also needed updating/TLC, so the price we paid was way too high for what we got
