I cannot say enough amazing things about Main Street The b&b is the perfect place of you want to be on Main Street around everything The rooms are great and the jacuzzi tubs are an added bonus

I could spend hours on the balcony overlooking main just watching and relaxing Their other properties are incredible too I recently stayed at the White Horse property and it was incredible It was quiet and far enough away from town to be peaceful and a getaway but close enough you can run into town for whatever you need The staff is always amazing and the owners are so kind I have stayed at the Main Street properties many times and will continue to do so in the future It’s a perfect getaway

Alison L.

The jets in the tub had mold/mildew The coffee pot still had coffee in the pot when we went to make some The pool is a nice feature, but the water fall has hard water build up around it which is off-putting

You can hear everything that happens in the hall The bed was uncomfortable The breakfast was good both days except the boxed OJ The location is perfect!

Amanda Collazo

Love this place! We come here every year for either our anniversary or an adults only weekend and it’s always a delight! The jacuzzi tub is our favorite way to unwind from all the walking we do during the day The beds are well appointed with linens from a local business The staff is always kind, helpful, and accommodating

The breakfast is served hot and delicious, in-room daily, although we prefer to enjoy ours al fresco on the covered porch overlooking Main St It can get a bit noisy during the day, but then again, you’re in town and that’s the way it works Within walking distance of all the best little shops and eateries and a very short drive to a few hidden gems and major shopping if necessary Stay during the holidays for a Norman Rockwell-meets-Texas-esque experience All the charm of Fritzburg, for sure Can’t say enough good things Highly recommend

Overall my fiance and I had an outstanding stay The main reason I booked at Peach Tree Inn was because they are pet friendly and the location The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the location was very close to the main strip which made it easy to walk everywhere

The staff was friendly and helpful whenever we had questions The cottage style really made it feel cozy and the deluxe king room we had was very spacious for the two of us I appreciate the fact that they had a full-size coffee maker in the room

Mark Schneider

Very nice friendly place There are tasty pastries at the front desk and they are scrumptious Nice rooms, comfy bed and couch

There was a complimentary bottle of very good chardonnay waiting on us as well Dog friendly with a nice courtyard We walked to dinner from here with our pupthere is a real coffee maker in room with plenty of coffee We loved it

Melissa Bodine

My mom and I stayed in one of the king suites It is so refreshing to walk in, the room smells so good, there is a nice bottle of wine on the table There is a full kitchen

With dishes, toaster and full size coffee maker! It is so quiet and peaceful here! The front of our room does not face the roads, it faces the trees which allowed us to see a doe this morning and an armadillo this afternoon The rooms are very spacious and very clean! The shower is fantastic, great water pressure I can’t say enough great things about this place! The staff is very friendly and the continental breakfast was great!

Rooms were clean and spacious, but the AC system is beyond noisy and blows directly onto the bed so it gets freezing! If you turn the temp up a little, then it gets hot fast TV service is terrible, but it’s better than nothing Grounds were very clean and beautiful! Pool area is beautiful, just wish they had more tables and chairs around the pool area

They fill up quick on a busy weekend Staff was great! Very friendly Overall a good stay!

Larry Hill

Very Nice propertyHad a quick two night stay at the Fredericksburg in and suitesWas in a king suite overlooking the pool on the second floorVery clean and comfortable, bedroom is separated from a living room type area with a second TVThe pool area is beautiful with many different areas of seating including a fire pit area away from the pool and a fireplace within the covered area of the pool

Seems to have two separate pools and hot nice jacuzzi The area leads to a small river with sitting there as well Very picturesqueThe free breakfast was excellent and probably better than most of the namebrand motel chains The staff was excellent Extremely personable and helpfulWould definitely recommend and stay again

Renee Richmond

Omg! Everything was so close to us that we walked It helped with that bloated feeling after a meal too The rooms were clean

Breakfast wad well done, and I loved the all day coffee bar Breakfast is served in the historical landmark part of the front area So rich in history I would definitely stay there again! I hope I tagged the right pictures Great place!

It was so uncomfortable to have stayed here The staff does not communicate with each other They did not care at all about the fact that they booked the wrong room

I asked for one with a balcony and when we checked in it was on the bottom floor Second I was clear that I wanted to pay cash for all the nights and they ran my card the day before we checked out But the worst part of it all was that the room would not drop down from 75 degrees Never staying here again The staff is inconsiderate Oh and the present on the pillow was just 🤢

GlitchyGold

I wish I had the same experience as other reviews but not so much Our room wasn’t clean and toilet wouldn’t flush properly The pool was dirty and I as a guest had to clean it from debris

Used pool towels were scattered all around the pool area The only reason they received 2 stars was for the breakfast I only typically stay at Holiday Inn expresses when I travel and have great experiences, but this was truly a disappointing one

A Forte

I can’t say enough good things about the helpfulness and courtesy of all the staff The room itself (2nd floor suite) was extremely clean and in good shape The ceiling was peeling a bit and the blower needed vacuuming but nothing to negatively impact our experience

Breakfast had a variety of options and the breakfast staff was prompt in responding to requests and keeping everything filled We didn’t use the pool but it looked clean and well maintained We had no lack of amenities (towels, coffee, tea, plasticware etc) and the snack area was fully stocked which we appreciated immensely since everything in Fredericksburg closes late at night I normally stay at Hampton, but will probably be giving Holiday Inn Express more business based on this trip

This was our 1st bed and breakfast experience MsBecky and her daughter Hilary out did themselves with a hot homeade breakfast

They were very nice, inviting, and warm We felt safe and comfortable there All the guest were very nice and friendly Our cabin Larry Bills was very clean, cute, and cozy We plan to visit again in the future

Hillary Gannon

My husband and I had a wonderful 3 night stay at the Chuckwagon Inn in Fredericksburg! We stayed in Larry Bills cabin and it was so cute and cozy I loved that this B&B was located out of town but close enough, and in a very quiet country area The bed was very comfortable and the cabin had everything we needed for our stay

One evening I saw a bunch of deer off of the second level balcony We stayed during Oktoberfest weekend which is a busy one in Fredericksburg, we were celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary Becky & Hillary provided an excellent breakfast all three mornings On Saturday, they made a German themed breakfast which I will probably never forget Becky made homemade applesauce and it was amazing, I need that recipe! They had the cutest fall/Halloween decorations! This is the perfect place to go if you want cozy, comfortable, casual, AND most importantly AFFORDABLE Thanks so much for the great stay, I hope we can make it back

Cozy, charming, romantic and super clean! We couldn’t have chosen a better place to stay We stayed at the Upper Brazos Cabin and it was perfect! It is just as the pictures on the website The warm breakfast basket was such a treat and evenings by the beautiful fireplace were priceless

This cabin has a large shower with oversized rain shower and wall spa shower heads which we enjoyed very much Super comfy pillows We loved this place and can’t wait to comeback!

Dennis Auzenne

Great place to stay! Wonderful atmosphere and decor, rooms are great! Service and breakfast outstanding! Some slight traffic noise, but not too bad Cabernet Grill restaurant is on site and excellent! Breakfast delivered yo room every morning was outstanding! Coffee pods not the most flavorful, but otherwise one of our best stays on all our travels!

Dagmara Slaughter

I wowed for 15 min, when I walked into our cottage! Whoever has decorated this place and designed it has a great sense of taste and made the cottage feel very cozy and welcoming to the point that i did not want to leave to go out to explore the town! One feels there like one has traveled back in time and just wants to enjoy the feeling of simpler times I am and old soul so the decor and antiques appealed to me Breakfast is amazing! Everything tasted fresh and decadent

I again wowed for a few minutes, when I unpacked the beautiful breakfast basket Every detail of your stay and what is needed to make it perfect has been thought of and it has made a stay a perfect day and cozy night We are going back to this place with bells on! Keep up the good work owners of the place I love it to pieces

We spent only 1 night here, but wish we could have stayed longer Trueheart is a charming boutique hotel just a couple of blocks north of Main St, so very well located for shopping and restaurants

We were in cabin #14 and it was just darling a stone cabin that was decorated so nicely It had all the amenities we needed: a very comfy bed, luggage racks for our bags, soaps, shampoos, lotion, hair conditioner, plenty of towels, a fridge, and an AC that worked really well The grounds are nice with sitting areas around an outdoor fireplace and another around a fire pit Very pretty, on a ravine with lots of trees The staff is warm and friendly and made check in and check out so easy We will definitely come again and would recommend this to anyone coming to Fredericksburg!

J Chaney

REALLY enjoyed our weekend stay! Great location for walking the downtown strip Very clean room, everything worked out perfectly Smooth check in, easy check out

Bed was big and comfortable, tasteful country/Texas decor, big walk in shower Keurig coffee pot and a small fridge were all that we needed Wifi seemed to work well Highly recommend!

Dylan Bucanek

You have to stay here the next time you visit Fredericksburg We stayed in Hillstar #8 which was a second-story room at the back of the property The room was spacious and clean and smelled great as well

A comfortable king-sized bed, gas-log fireplace, and plantation shutters on all the windows Definitely nailed the cottage feel Our room had recessed lighting in the ceiling and a ceiling fan controlled separately The bathroom was very large with plenty of closet space to hang clothes, a separate water closet, a stand-alone clawfoot tub, and a large river rock bottom walk-in shower The breakfast biscuit basket was amazing and came with the best fresh orange juice I have ever had The grounds were well-kept and the outdoor fireplace and seating were a great addition Very short walking distance to the food and shops on Main street Parking is provided within the property so you don’t have to worry about leaving your vehicle in the street We can’t wait to go back!

Such a great find, I’m so glad we found this gem The property was beautiful, easy to find and get into the unit We stayed in the Pump House, which was perfect for two people

The unit had a private patio with hot tub, hammock and we ended up walking out our back gate to star gaze on the propertyI would suggest bringing bottled water, ice and a large cooler if you’re staying longer than a night since the fridge is tinyWe will be staying here again

A group of us rented a farmhouse for a friend’s surprise 50th birthday and many of us came from California The house was AMAZING So comfortable with a pool, hot tub and outdoor grilling

Everything about it was so much fun And just when we were about to run out of coffee somehow the woman who helps run the place just appeared and asked us if we needed anything Crisis averted! This trip and house will always hold very fond memories for me Highly recommend

This is a nice place The rooms are big and you can sit outside in the shade to have breakfast or a drink at night There is a pool too although we didn’t go in it

It is a very good location as well, a short walk right onto main street They also have a breakfast in the morning, let them know if you have any specific food needs It comes in a nice little basket

My wife & I were officially married in July 2021 in a small service with immediate family + our best friends We had a brief 3-4 day honeymoon down in Fredericksburg following that We recently finally held a full formal wedding ceremony/reception in Lampasas, but still plan to hold off for our full honeymoon trip until late August into early September

We decided to do one night in Fredericksburg following this past weekend, but wanted to stay in town to have everything in walking distance The Winchester Lodge was a PERFECT choice Their location is as central as it gets, but the property feels like a little oasis in the midst all that is available & going on in that area It was quiet The rooms are beautiful & well-appointed The pool was super-refreshing & the common area around the pool provides comfortably covered tables & other seating to chill outside of the room Summer has certainly arrived in the area, but there are large fireplaces that I imagine make this just as wonderful when temperatures turn cooler once again We couldn’t be happier & will aim to stay here again, for sure

Amanda Tzanov

A really nice B&B! The room was clean, staff friendly and the breakfasts were decent A cute touch to have them delivered by basket We found the rooms to be quiet as well – though I’m not sure if we had guests in the rooms next to us

Nice vicinity to the cute main street area and restaurants We stayed two nights and never had to drive anywhere until we left There is a pool and nice patios We would definitely stay here again Only things of note would be breakfast was a bit late every morning but not that big of a deal and make sure you read their policies before booking We had no issues but they are more strict – which I understand as a smaller business

This place exceeded are expeditions! The whole house was incredibly beautiful and had a lot of the essentials that we had forgotten! The grounds/outdoor area was gorgeous and we sat outside many times to have breakfast or enjoy the hot tub!The only thing I’ll say against it is one of the beds was not very comfortable and felt like we were sinking inwards Otherwise, all around great marks! Would definitely book again!

Unicorn Botanicals

My wife Janice and I stayed here 02/12/2017 until 02/15/2017 ( as of this review we are still checked in ) I would love to give this place five stars because it is cute cozy comfortable and just darn right decorated well However there is plenty of areas that are dirty and in need of maintenance

If you look on this Google listing at the photos submitted by other people you’ll see photos submitted by John X You’ll see a very thick coating of dust and dirt under the couch , that has not been dusted and cleaned in at least a month and would take about 30 seconds with a dust mop There is mold growing in the bathroom behind the tub in the grout There is a lot of fixtures that are loose in there are many fixtures with lightbulbs out We pay close to $1000 for three nights I would least like to think that the maintenance issues were addressed in the place was cleaned up to at least a basic standard If these issues were fixed we will definitely stay here again but the attention to detail here is surprising ** UPDATE – Katalina from the management office called to offer her apologies and was surprised to hear the issues She was very professional and very kind They compensate us for the trouble Due to the response and attentiveness, we will definitely be staying here again I changed my 3 stars to 5 stars

LOVE this place When go to Fredericksburg this is “our” hotel The rooms are clean, comfortable and fun, with a 1940’s theme

The Officer Club bar always has great local music, the staff has always been happy and helpful The adult-only limit is a real draw There a period diner on-site with homemade food, we look forward to breakfast! Of course watching the airplanes come and go on the second floor patio, in rocking chairs is icing on the cake Really nice place!

Jerry Morris

We just left the hotel this morning after a 2 night stay We absolutely loved this place and will definitely stay here again! The staff was excellent and the room and grounds were really neat Feels like your set back in time back in the 40’s! The whole place was very clean and well decorated and not to mention right on the airport property with unobstructed views of the runway

Very recommended place to stay! A+++

Zach Stallings

My wife and I were looking for a place to stay in Fredericksburg for our anniversary and saw this on the city’s website It looked like a fun themed hotel with good reviews Our experience far exceeded any expectations we had

The entire hotel was decorated perfectly around the 1940s USO theme The room was immaculate and very comfortable Some of the highlights of the property were the Officer’s Club bar with live music, the porch balcony overlooking the airfield, and the Airport Diner on the premises The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful and they made recommendations on things to do in town My wife and I will definitely come back to stay next time we come to Fredericksburg!

I just got done paying over $400 a night for a basic room at the Hampton Inn and Suites in Fredericksburg, Texas I was extremely disappointed After paying this ridiculous amount and after specifically requesting that I wanted daily housekeeping, I came back to the room before dinner early Saturday evening to find my room uncleaned

I called the front desk to report the problem, and the representative said housekeeping was already gone, so they would not be able to clean the room He did say that he would come up to clean my room while I was at dinner and replace the towels I came back after dinner to of course not find this done either Covid is on the downtrend, so we need to start cleaning rooms again each day for multiple overnight stays It is time to start working again and stop making excuses, especially at over $400 a night I could have stayed in the Ritz in Dallas for that priceThe water was also not that hot throughout my stay The front desk said there was nothing they could do I asked to talk to a manager, and he said none were there

Person

Asked about internet speed prior to booking since I’d be working from the hotel Was assured it was very good It wasn’t

I spent hours on the phone with techs just to get a nearly adequate speed There was what appeared to be black mold in our bathroom The one washing machine in the building was out of order The front desk said they were waiting on parts which are on backorder Can’t someone purchase a washer? It’s not rocket science I am not clear as to why laundry is offered or why I paid for this amenity when it is not provided The offered solution from front desk was that I drive to a laundry mat No apology Nothing but blank stares and and shrugs The front desk attendants should perhaps reevaluate their careers in hospitality, as they are not very polite and are definitely not problem-solversRidiculously over-pricedThe cleaning staff were excellent

The reason for the 3 🌟is me bed I hated, it is hard Now if you like a firm bed you will love itI also don’t like if you book through a third party like booking

com the hotel can’t change the reservation even though you are standing in front of them The handicap rooms are on the bottom floor so your view is the cars that are in the parking lot And the bathroom sink is too high I would have loved to have had a balcony but the balcony rooms would have been harder for me with my wheelchairThe room I stayed in was very large so very easy for me to get around in my chair We were also right at an exit so very convenient It is a very nice room and hotel The staff was great The man we talked with went above and beyond I don’t know his name but he was training a lady We checked in on February 16th around 5pm He needs a raise Very helpfulThey have firepit that I lovedThe location is perfect

Stayed there for one night just for a quick getaway I have status at the big chains but thought I would give this place a try When checking in, the young man was extremely sweet

When checking out on Wednesday morning, an older white Lady at the front was extremely rude and despot The beds were very uncomfortable, breakfast was good, housekeeping was also pleasant I’ll stick to Grapevine!

My husband and I booked the Inns on Barons Creek for our anniversary We we’re shocked by to learn it was indeed not the luxury in as advertised but rather a very run down, poorly maintained, roach infested hotel When we attempted to resolve our concerns with the hotel staff and even the management company we have received either no response or sorry there is nothing we can do for you

So bookers beware… If you want to stay in a room that is dirty, leaking from the ceiling, and just not cleaned this is the hotel for you Otherwise I would find a different hotel in Fredericksburg!!!
