Flies in the office should have been a hint about sanitationMore flies in the room It smelled bad

We pulled the sheets off one of the beds looking for bed bugs The mattress smelled and was badly stained and there was a small plastic bed bug trap attached to it The mattress on the second bed was completely sewn up in a sheet so we couldn’t check it for stains without tearing the sheet Overall very dirty and unsanitary I took pictures of the mattress, showed them to the woman at the front desk, and told her we would not be spending the night there Our money was eventually refunded If I had looked at all the negative reviews on Google I would never have stopped there

Jon Woodward

Budget hotel so not too much to expect Weight room was decent, rooms were dated but clean Shower had a drip all night but the ac was cool and drowned out most of the sound

Real complaint was the included breakfast did not offer water, juice, or kid friendly liquids Not sure why there was no running water / water fountain, or bottled water as options for their guests in the dining areaThe managment was aware of the situation but had made no efforts to consider the needs of their guests A simple and inexpensive solution might have been to send a staff member down the street to grab a case of bottled water to offer as a courtesy till their machines were repaired However the attitude was ‘not their problem’ which was off putting and made our stay less pleasant

My wife had spent a good amount of money to reserve us and some friends two rooms, but when we arrived, they said the money was only to hold the rooms, not pay for them, so we had to pay more money to actually have our rooms, (we didn’t have a lot of extra money for our trip) But we paid anyway, got our rooms They were nice, nothing extravagant, but they were clean and decent

Not a bad place to go, but the service was lackluster They should have explained that to her before she paid Overall it was alright Nice enough beds I’d sleep there again, but they can do better

Marianne Johnson

I had been driving for most of the day Was getting tired so at one of my stops I got on the app and booked my room I let them know I would be a late arrival

When I got there the front desk clerk was quick to get me checked in so I could get some sleep The room was super clean The bed was very comfy Will definitely be staying there on my way back home

Evgeniya Bozhko (KoriAndrTheCat)

This is a decent BW hotel, but we faced some displeasing service, so that is why it is not a 5 star rating The lady at the front was quite unfriendly, and she worked way too slowly She was also annoyingly meticulous, made us fill the license plate number, and this the first time we have ever done it

We came in late at night because we had a very long drive that day, and we had to wait for quite a while at the front door because the door was locked It is unusual for the 24/7 advertised service We also then provided our membership card, which every single hotel uses to give the rewards points, yet that lady told us she can’t find the account and said to use the website instead She didn’t explicate how exactly Despite the service, the hotel was okay It is clean, the room was tidy, and the beds were comfortable Breakfast is fine, not a lot of options though Just the staff is mediocre We have visited places where the staff was much friendlier

Everything was good, room was clean, nothing broken, beds were comfy, service was very good, nicely located for travelers, my only small complaint was that they had one of the beds against the heater/ac unit No real big deal but if you are in that bed, you got either hot or freezing pretty fast But all in all, a good place, I’d go back

Crest Chargers81

Very clean room I stayed two nights Do not let the exterior fool you, this is a Motel 6 “modern room” that is very clean with nice bathrooms

I filled my cooler with free ice from the ice maker I would stay again! Nice small town with nearby grocery stores and shops Was traveling from California to North Carolina when I found this gem room to relax

Cindy Fullerton

Our desk clerk was very courteous, extremely helpful and friendlyRoom was small, functional and cleanWe chose Motel 6 after reading ALL of the other motels’ negative reviews in the area from roaches to theft in the room

Dan Boyle

Booked a one night stay for myself, wife, and 3 kids Kids were super excited for the pool, which ended up being broken We then were informed the elevator was also broken and had to use the stairs to get up to our 4th floor room

Staff is super friendly, however We definitely won’t be staying here again, with basic, modern amenities being unavailable

Autumn Cordova

Off the highway, convenient to get back on the road There isn’t much food nearby to choose from at all The rooms are clean and very spacious though

A nice work area with a couch and desk if you have any business or work to do They have the basics for complimentary breakfast with coffee Has fridge and microwave They have older flat screen tvs, but the room had 2 They have the tiny shampoo and conditioner bottles here if you are needing that and don’t bring your own The only issue we had was when we were leaving and the elevator was not working and we were on the 4th level so to carry all of our luggage with our kids – that was not the bestnot sure if they fixed it by now, but overall the room was good here I wish they would do something about their breakfast options Marriott locations seem to have a very small selection The kitchen staff was also pretty rude and unhappy

Climeria Sanchez

This hotel is located in a beautiful scenery around mountains in NM and besides that the people in there are friendly and committed to help us, and they serve hot breakfast; but also the rooms are well maintained and clean Another good thing is this hotel is near gas station ⛽️ When in that area I would love to be back in this hotel

We had reservations at another hotel 3 hours away but ended up here at midnight because we had car trouble’s It was a long and stressful evening The manager was so kind she without me knowing until I opened the door upgraded us to a really nice suite very spacious and comfortable

I was so surprised when I opened the door I was expecting a simple quick sleep room because we still had long to go to get to our destination She was a new Manager training a new employee working at midnight! That’s dedication, and you don’t see that often anymore Showing him what excellent customer service is

Wood Butcher

I would recommend not taking your shoes off if you want clean socks or feet Floors are swept but absolutely not clean Told them and they did “clean/mop” the floor in my room but it’s was still dirty

Fridge is cool but not coldyes I did adjust the temp but the fridge is a POS and needs replacedSuppose I’m asking too much for what a person spends

Debra Simpson

Upon checking in you have to initial on your bill that they aren’t responsible for anything happening to your vehicle Checked in at 9:30pm At 11:35 pm we get a call in our room from Alex saying we need to come move our car it is parked on a white line or it will be towed

I explained we were in bed and it was no handicap parking available So he tell me ican move it to the cracker barrel parking lot next door for the night There were two motorcycles parked at the door on the red lines which stayed there all night Alex was very rude Will not return

Mister “Thee Sadman” Sadberry

The room was ok for the price, it seemed fairly cleaned Once I checked in I was told that the main A/C was out so they had put a portable swamp cooler or something It didn’t make the room that much cooler, it kinda just made it muggy, but it was better than to have nothing

The toilet was tiny and the seat for it was oversized Breakfast was a grab n go that was decent 3/5 Wasn’t terrible, but wasn’t great either

Great Staff, Great Facility, Great LocationPros:Staff we’re all welcoming, friendly, and professionalThe facility is on the newer side and well-maintained

Although between the highway and railroad tracks, didn’t hear a thing; and I’m a light sleeper Bedding was soft and extremely comfortableAnd the Denny’s next door is convenientCons: (It was hard find)Gym and pool were closed till further noticeBreakfast, although happy to return to a hot breakfast (instead of the grab-n-go), was a bit lacking The cheese omelet was bland and gravy for biscuits and gravy, was watery and blandLow water pressure, although adjustable shower head can increase pressure

Mary Sendall

The room was nice Although every time, we have to ask for additional coffee There is only on regular and one decaf

The downstairs elevator button appeared to be broken They were slammed because of an accident and delays on the freeway I was glad we had planned ahead and made a reservation This time seemed about $30 more than last time but we had a room that was comfortable The air conditioner didn’t blow very strong All of this we should have reported to them but after sitting for 2 hours in the same spot in traffic, we were exhausted

Rob Smith

Spent six nights here Hotel was very well run My room and the common area were super clean

The staff was very friendly and the housekeeping team was helpful, unobtrusive and always very nice I would highly recommend this property It might be a little inconvenient if you wanted to walk into Gallup itself but it’s perfect for interstate travelers and those that didn’t mind driving five minutes into Gallup

Older hotel Elevator was not working the night we arrived, so we had to carry a lot of bags to 2nd floor Due to elevator being out, they were unable to give us a room for 5 adults, but manager did give us a deal on two rooms

This was an excellent place to stay at! We called the owners to tell them that we would be arriving at 9pm but due to getting lost, we ended up arriving more around 11pm The owner was so kind about it and stayed up to make sure we got in alright The room was super clean and it was a great price for what we got! I would definitely stay here again

Excellent service

D. DUKE

Comfy and quiet, friendly nice lady checked us in I liked they had turned on the room lights for our arrival The downstairs has an enclosed exterior hallway that curs down on noise and exposure to the elements

Dog friendly but not really anywhere nearby to relieve them other than a dirt lot next door Good value for the money we would stay again

Tanya Hoover

CLEAN Yes it is a motel and it is not in a great area but the parking lot is gated, which made me feel safer There is a windowed hallway in front of your room so the door is not right next to the parking lot

Very easy check in and a pleasant man working the front desk The room was spacious and the shower head had great water pressure

Not worth over $100 Maybe $60 and that’s pushing it The “deluxe” room has a tiny jetted tub but that’s about it

Bed was comfortable and staff was nice upon check in but lie about the pool being heated They say it’s heated to 84 but there is no way in h*ll it’s more than 70 and this is the only reason I chose this hotel After driving for 10 hours I needed a way to get my kids energy out but even they wouldn’t stay in it The hot tub was warm but the steps are slick tile My husband slipped down both steps seriously hurting his shoulder He told the front desk and they only gave him a bag of ice It’s still hurting over a week later so we’re hoping there’s no permanent damage Be careful if you use their pool area

Tracey Eller

Horrible hotel Three healthy people walked in By midnight we were all too congested to sleep

By 5am we were all up with headaches so we got up and left by 6am An hour later we all felt fine again Manager on duty said it wasn’t his problem if I had a stuffy nose If the room is causing it, then yes it IS his problem He said he’d check it out I have not heard from him I have not received a reply from my comments to Wyndham I paid for a place to sleep, not a sleepless night that made me sick

Faye Sayturn

My husband had been driving for about 30 hours and needed a place to rest We originally went thru window rock, quality inn and had explained our situation and needed an early check in After a confusing conversation (see review) I called red roof inn in Gallup and the sweet young lady with short hair (didn’t get her name) helped and checked us in early

After a good sleep, my husband and I are back on the road Professional staff and clean room Thank you for understanding and helping us red roof!

We ended up staying here on our cross country drive after a mix up with our reservation at another nearby Marriott These two locations worked together to make sure our original reservation price was matched and they found us a LOVELY two bedroom suite last minute My husband and I joked that we could live there

It was very well maintained and quiet I felt very safe here with my family There’s a lot of long term residents that stay thereThe laundry facility was great and the breakfast was one of the best I’ve ever had at a hotel!A huge reason we loved staying here on top of everything else is that they are pet friendly

Lisa Parrish

I stopped in Gallup on my way back home driving across country i was exhausted when I arrived at the Towneplace Shannon had made my reservations earlier that day

When I arrived, there was Shannon with a big smile on her face She was able to accommodate where I wanted to be in the hotel her willingness to help in any way is rare As a woman traveling alone, I felt very safe The hotel and room were clean and very comfortable I would definitely stay there again Thank you Shannon Thank you Towneplace

Joel Ybarra

The facility was absolutely amazing The luggage carts made our stay even more pleasant Elevators and stairs are available

And is ADA accesable, with a covered awning right up front The staff was very friendly and helpful Now for the 1 star There is a set of train tracks right across the street And the trains are very long, and very loud! I’m not normally sensitive to loud noise But it was a bit much even for me

The location is great! The room was spacious and very clean I would stay again for these reasons aloneHowever, I was very unimpressed with the breakfast considering the cost of the hotel

Very limited selections No juice or water available, I had to buy water bottles from the front desk The coffee was cold and they only offered powdered creamer They were out of condiments and utensils Other guests and I kept having to ask the breakfast employee for replacements of things I purposely stay at hotels that offer breakfast because its convenient for my 3 kids to grab a bite right after they wake up We were traveling back home to texas from California and this breakfast was the most disappointing out of all the hotels we stayed at on this trip If breakfast is important for you when making a hotel selection, skip this one

cory lisee

The room was very clean Their breakfast was delicious but the lady that was doing breakfast wouldn’t let you have more than two slices of bacon which upset one of our guestAll day you could get coffee tea hot chocolate oatmeal cold lemon water

Would go there again

I cannot say enough good things about this RV Park! We only stayed the one night, however, it was a very pleasant experience We enjoyed their BBQ and Ice Cream Social under the covered patio along with fellow campers The staff was very friendly, this park is clean and well organized, especially for the size

They have a good size, clean dog park and the restrooms/showers were in good working order and clean We have discovered that many friends plan their trips to stay here and we will also plan our trips to stay here when traveling this way

Nice pull through sites We didn’t have shade but that was OK Office and store were very nice

Gift shop was best we’ve seen at RV Park Coffee in the morning was great especially as we hit the road! Didn’t use facilities but pool, playground and waterfall looked very nice Kids seemed to be enjoying it Dog area was ok, it would be nice if area was sanitized and if the wall was washed occasionally Thank you 😊

The park is incredibly clean and well kept The RV spaces are laid out well (hookups in the right spots as well) and easy to pull in and out of Didn’t use the laundry facilities, but the bathrooms were plain but in good shape

The store is one of the more unique and interesting RV Park stores we’ve visitedThe service here was really friendly and accommodating and the little store was one of the most unique we’ve found at an RV ParkDon’t miss the BBQ dinner, which seems to be available nightly during the high season Absolutely terrific ribs and pulled pork!

First, let me say that the staff and room and breakfast were GoodMy problems are with the hotel location I was walking my dog and found a man sleeping(?) in the rock median separating the hotel from Cracker Barrel, it was 16 F out

I immediately notified the the front desk clerk and he said he would have security take care of it I hope the man was OKThere was a sign that said to take all valuables from your car, lock it and that they were not responsible for thefts, which is pretty much normal for any hotel I have ever stayed at My bike was locked on the back of my vehicle, but sure enough, in the morning, the lock and cords were cut and the bike was gone My fault, I guess for not bringing it in my room I was 4 cars away from the front lobby door and they did say they had security, so I thought I would be safe I have been travelling for over 20 years with my bikes and this is the first time I have ever had trouble I told the person at the front desk, just so they would be aware and was told the manager would call me the next day, but of course, I knew that wouldn’t happenI would suggest staying at the other Comfort Inn a bit further down the road in a much nicer neighborhood

[TL;DR – +1 for Letting me stay despite no cats rule -1 for leaving Refrigerator and Microwave unplugged]Good Stuff:Room was fine, we got moved to a pet friendly room since I forgot to mention I had one until I got to the front desk

My bad They allowed me in despite the fact that that they only allow dogs That was nice 👍 But don’t do what I did, I got lucky If you’ve got a cat with you, go elsewhereBad Stuff:Not happy to find that the room didn’t have it’s appliances plugged in In the evening I thought it was just the microwave, so no big deal But in the morning I discovered that the fridge was also unplugged, leaving my wife’s medication in danger of expiring The dresser that everything was put inside was also very heavy, making it difficult to get behind to plug them back in No idea why they were unplugged in the first place, but it would have been nice if that was found before I got there

It is June 4 We are staying here for two nights, expecting what we’ve gotten at other Comfort InnsNot the case

After being told that the spa and pool are out of order, there was no hot breakfast this morning Supply shortages are what we were told about why there is no breakfastI asked if there would be a hot breakfast the next day NopeIF WE HAD KNOWN THAT, WE WOULDN’T HAVE STAYED HERERooms are semi-decent, but literally shake when you walk across the floor WiFI sucks, and now we feel slightly deceived because we weren’t told there would be no hot breakfast for both days we’re staying hereAnd of course, the manager will not be in till we are goneCurrently, this hotel sucks!!!

NEVER had a more rude experience than here Tried to get a room w my wife and small dog (they claim to be pet friendly), but the owner interrupted my conversation and I kept trying to explain that I had a very small dog, a maltese, and needed a room The owner, began getting further agitated throwing things from the counter at me, screaming at me, and when I calmly left (honestly rather confused by the entire event), I was chased out of the lobby, cursed and screamed at, and the owner followed me into the parking lot completely unhinged

All because I asked about my dog staying The employee looked horrified, and when I found another hotel, she laughed and told me that lots of ppl had similar stories He DOESN’T LIKE WHITE PEOPLE

Interesting place to rest for a night The young man at the front desk was delightful and polite It’s really close to train tracks so it’s very loud all the time

I was bothered that the washer broke while i was washing and the motel is not responsible for the washers and dryers Had to improvise on that But the location is good, it’s close to a Walmart and places to eat I like that there were two entrances into the room, an indoor and outdoor for the dogs They have a good pet policy The rooms are comfortable and spacious Great amenities!!
