My husband and I loved our stay at Geneva on the Lake hotel! We enjoyed the gorgeous and immaculately maintained grounds and pool The beautifully furnished rooms are quiet and each came equipped with a full kitchen We dined at the hotel’s restaurant for one dinner and two breakfasts

The food was farm to table fresh ! All of the staff were incredibly kind, patient, and courteous I would definitely return for another stay!

We were there at the restaurant 2 weeks ago with a party of 6 for dinner Very nice place, great view and garden, but the whole dinner was very disappointing and too expensive for what is being offered It started out that the cocktail ( whiskey sour) came without any garnish

Followed by unpolished wineglasses full of water stains I shared the crab cake appetizer with my husband Looked and tasted like deep fried Had nothing to do with a fluffy moist crab cake We had a rack of lamb and the duck breast for main course I expected more than 4 thin slices of duck for 49 dollar The lamb was cold, the veggies lukewarm After complaining about that the meat was lukewarm but at least the veggies were hot 😉 (52dollar)The waitress was very nice and polite but in a restaurant like this I expect a well trained and attentive staff We had to get up and get the bottle from the wine cooler ourself to refill our wineglassesThis is definitely not called “fine dining”

What a great new look! Our visit to Geneva On The Lake for the Father’s Day Buffet was fantastic The made-to-order shrimp Alfredo made for a great meal along with the smoky beef brisket and pulled pork sandwich For dessert, the brownies were made in house, the vanilla ice cream, and the ‘help yourself’ vat of real hot fudge was the grand finale

The recently renovated beer parlor is amazing with a brand new bar and an entrance that leads to the main Dining Room Off the main Dining Room is a more private dining area with a fireplace and an elevated view of the grounds and Seneca Lake The staff was friendly and were proud to show off the brand new heated high top event tent, which also has a picturesque view of the lake The solo acoustic guitarist played and sang a great mix of tunes that were relevant to different age groups at the buffet The whole Father’s Day event met our expectations and we’ll be back next year I’m excited to see what happens next! I highly recommend the experience of staying in a yurt on this beautiful property overlooking the lake We rented two of the yurts for two nights while we were in the area for a wedding Staying in the yurts added a special delight to our visit They were beautiful, well-equipped, spacious, and luxurious

While the yurts were quiet and private, the owners were easily accessible in the manor house located on the property We had access to the lake for a swim as well as games of pool and table tennis in the manor house basement for a some friendly matches We had a great time!

Yale Manor is the perfect base for exploring finger lakes region The house is historical, beautifully appointed, the grounds are vast with mature trees and big relaxing hammocks, and beautiful views Innkeeper katherine exemplifies the best of upstate New York State

Warm and energetic I left my electronics in the room When Katherine found out, she rushed it to UPS within a few hours Coming back from that place makes me feel like I now have a friend at the finger Lakes region:-)! Highly recommend this place!

Stayed at this hotel for 2 nights during my trip to the Finger Lakes Overall, I give it a solid 3/5 (good) The bedroom and bathroom were clean (most important) as well as the overall facility

The reason why I didn’t give it a 4 or 5 is because:1 The room lacked USB port to charge electronics Odd that the rooms were this archaic in 2022 Make sure to bring a 120v charger if you stay here2 The water pressure from shower was pretty weak Probably the weakest pressure out of all the hotels I’ve been to3 The free breakfast were mostly packaged foodsOther than these 3 minor complaints, we were satisfied with our stay

Stayed 4 nights for HWS Colleges graduation weekend Absolutely fantastic Staff including GM extremely personable and professional

Many nice welcoming features to families attending grad festivities Banner, Decor, welcome notes It doesn’t get better than this! Rooms spacious, great location and parking ease I commend Steve GM who sets the bar high and is a great mentor to his staff and they seem to love working with and for him Marriott take note They are doing in right in Geneva NY

Brian Avsec

Way over priced for the value delivered Paid $400/nt in AugustRoom was clean and coffee was good but that is it

Breakfast is a joke Only fruit is a sugary fruit cocktail cup Cereals are all sugary Weekend scrambled eggs were made from powder and very salty Weekday you get to microwave a Jimmy Dean sausage sandwich Bed was awful as we woke up sore each morning The rooms have no USB ports so you can’t charge a phone without your brick The shower water pressure is very weak I get it is August and prime time but I wouldn’t complain if we pad $120 nt Since we are paying $400 a night at least do some upgrades Very disappointed and won’t be returning

I never thought I would want to stay at a b&b in my area, but I’m so glad I did! I visited once with my husband and the second time for a get away with high school friends The location is a few miles from the village of Lyons, but feels like you are in the Adirondacks It is quiet and cute with great attention to detail (for example, being greeted by a crackling fire in the colonial bee hive fireplace

) The breakfast is very tasty Having it delivered, set up, and the candles lit just added to the experience! The outdoor hot tub and sauna nestled on the hillside among the trees is magical I have shared this review verbally through the years with many friends I look forward to my next visit!

Zachary Blask

This quaint middle of nowhere cottage is a great place to escape and find yourself in a stress-free, serine nature getaway The candlelit breakfast was amazing! Bring a nice book, cuddle up by the fire, the hot tub or just spend some quality time with your significant other, family or simply yourself The price is beyond reasonable, and the hosts Diane and Mark were extremely nice and worked well with our schedules

I highly recommend this BnB to anyone staying in the Geneva area for a night, weekend getaway or a long relaxing week!

The staff were very accommodating and did their best The food at Edgar’s for dinner was wonderful! Unfortunately, the rooms need an update and the amenities were of a Motel 6 quality from the tissues to the lotion They were all extremely cheap and not what I would expect for the price

Bring your own tea if you’re a tea drinker but then you have to deal with coffee water so maybe just don’t expect to drink tea! Again, not what I would expect for the price and the supposed quality

Susi Davidson

It is an old castle

we kept our expectations a little low because of that but sleeping was very uncomfortable our bathroom door stayed half open the whole time since it was stuck (pocket doors) and our was sweltering The wedding coordinator was terrible and kept disappearing without communicating with us for long periods of time Unfortunately they had multiple weddings scheduled for the day and it definitely made our daughter’s day not so special with all the chaos and too many people all over the place Most of our guest didn’t eat the food eitherit was a great disappointmentbland and dryWe expected more for what we paid for the room and what was paid for the weddingPeriodWe are well traveled and stayed in many places all over the world I cannot recommend it for a special event The area around was beautiful So A + for that

PUPET WORLD

First off it was my birthday weekend We paid 500$ for a room that had coffee stains on the TV stands There was white crumbs all over the floor

To top it off there was confetti on the bed so basically the bed was never even cleaned for 500$ That’s insane! I brought it to the hotels attention when I checked out and they offered me nothing except saying we can reclean the room Like hello I already cleaned it! The beds are terrible ho to a cheap hotel and the beds are better Not worth the price not worth the drive I’m very upset I lost out on 500$ The parking lot was covered in ice nobody salted or cared about people carrying in luggage n falling Don’t waste your money!

The Yorkshire Inn was a great place to stay in every way It was easy to book on-line, the descriptions of the rooms are accurate and honest We actually did end up making a change in the room we wanted, Micah (owner) handled the change personally

The room we stayed in (The Lodge) was better than we had even expected Very comfortable and inviting We had two mornings of breakfast at the Inn Both were way above and beyond excellent The attention to detail and professionalism that Micah and Darcy exhibit is exceptional Book with confidence!

We had an amazing experience here July of 2021

hosts were wonderful and we were able to socially distance and felt safe the entire trip Having multiple wings was awesomeDaily breakfasts and coffee were delicious, and the rooms were quiet and spotlessIts tough to travel with a bunch of kids and the Yorkshire Inn really took the stress out of itThe kids really loved playing with the dog too! 10/10 would recommend

Nathan Temple

After a long day of driving, it was nice to arrive at the Yorkshire Inn Everything felt homey and relaxing, not like our usual cookie cutter hotel stays Our room and beds were very comfortable and we all slept soundly

Breakfast was fantastic Everything was fresh, homemade, and delicious and the service was spot on Again, far superior to what we’re used to from a chain hotel We enjoyed playing with the family dog, our kids especially Yet another great experience you don’t get at a standard hotel Overall a wonderful, memorable experience I wish we were in town longer, but maybe some other time If we find ourselves in the area, we would definitely love to stay here again Very affordable, very nice accomodations, great food and drink, very friendly hosts Thank you Micah and Darcy (and Cooper) for being part of our ’22 summer vacation

A solid 4 stars The room was very clean, bed was comfortable, staff were very friendly, and the hotel is generally well-keptMy only qualm, and thus for a reduction of a star, was the breakfast

It is free breakfast, so I definitely did not expect a gourmet meal, but the options were really lacking I understand the need for shelf-stable items, as to save costs on cooking staff labor, but offering perhaps nicer yogurts or fresh fruit (even just some apples or bananas) would have made a big differenceWith that said, the hotel was very well-priced, so the cost savings just went towards breakfast at a nice place in the area, of which there are several optionsIn sum, if you don’t care about the free breakfast, this is a great place to stay

Tina P

Check in process was seamless Hotel was very clean and organized Breakfast was great

Tim helped us checkout and was very accommodatingAll staff was very friendlyLocation of the hotel is unparalleled Away from crowded, noisy downtown, but only a 5 minute drive from the action Also very close to tons of wineries and breweriesWe would definitely recommend staying here when you are visiting the Finger Lakes

John and Jody Vossen

We were not sure how old the place was but felt brand new The young man at the front desk was very helpful and the town was very cool We would have loved to spend more time there to explore, but we were passing through

The place deserves a higher rating that I saw on Expedia Rooms were clean and felt new It’s nice to enter and room and not be disghusted
